Waching daily Feb 1 2017

-All right, this is it,

set up your gear, and listen.

-This night, you're going to the Maze Bank Tower.

-Your mission it's to wipe out specific mobs

in specific floors.

-This building it's tall as hell

so you better know where to go.

-Listen, your main target

remains anonymous. He's the owner of that tower,

for so he will be located at the top of the building,

presumably.

-You still have to examine the floors we asigned for you

very carefully.

-Ready? Ok.

-Look, the tower contains 32 floors.

-You're going at four of them.

-With the elevator, get up there and erase the entire place as fast as you can.

-You're assigned to the 3rd floor, the 14th floor,

the 21st floor, and at last,

the last floor, which is the 32th, obviously.

-Your second objective, after the assassination,

you need to retrieve a bag, hidden within the last floor.

-Its appearance, it's olive green, has an H on it, very easy to find,

you can do it.

-After you found the bag, you better start planning

how the hell are you gonna get out of there before something terrible happens,

and one big example, it's the cops. Just try to lose them if you're caught.

-Just don't bring them around here, if you're going to escape...

-I know you can do it... I count on you, you're a professional.

-You come in here...

... you're welcome.

-So...

... Do your magic.

-That wraps up almost everything.

-I hope you for the best, and...

see ya later Biker... I'm counting on you.

"Yes You Can!" A Message from the Employment Files: Section 511 of WIOA - Duration: 10:01.

Have you ever thought of becoming

employed in a job that you love?

Have you tried working before and

it just didn't pan out? If so, you may be

interested to know that new regulations

have passed to help get you into the

workforce. Section 511 of the Workforce

Innovation and Opportunity Act, known as

WIOA, was created to raise

expectations for employment of youth and

adults with disabilities. With an

emphasis on moving away from

segregated settings and into the

community, the purpose of Section 511 is

to encourage even more people to enter

the workforce. Section 511 also limits

the use of sub-minimum wage to promote

fair pay for all. By working with state

agencies, employers and employment

providers, the goal is to create

rewarding integrated employment

opportunities at wages with the same

benefits that compete with other

employees. Competitive Integrated

Employment is the first and preferred

outcome for working-age youth and adults

with disabilities.

This includes individuals with complex

and significant disabilities for whom job

placement in the past has been limited

or unavailable. In this video, we will

explore stories of four individuals who

have competitive integrated jobs in our

state.

Many of these individuals were

previously in segregated settings, or had

been told they would not be able to be

independent.

Hopefully their stories will encourage

you to explore opportunities for

community-based employment and other

inclusive activities.

Join us as we travel the state to meet

real Kentuckians, with real jobs who are

contributing to the workforce in a

meaningful way.

First we will meet Calvin Lee who has

been employed at Paducah Beer Werks in

Western Kentucky for over a year. Next, Ellie

Conkling of Louisville will show you how

she has helped the YMCA to solve an

unmet need, while increasing her own

independence and self esteem. Then we

will go to Benton, and meet Jake Couch to

see how his love of cars landed him a

job with Leon Riley Ford for over four

years. And finally, Jonathan Tompkins

will encourage you with the rapid

success he has made

at the Sirloin Stockade restaurant in

Murray. Calvin has been working at

Paducah Beer Werks since its opening over

Previously, Calvin had been in a

sheltered workshop, where people with

disabilities are employed separately

from others and paid sub-minimum wage

rates. Calvin's job duties now include

food preparation, dish-washing, and helping

maintain cleanliness outside the

restaurant. The general manager and owner

agree that Calvin is an outstanding

employee at Paducah Beer Werks because

he does his job well and never

complains. He is willing to work even on

days when he is scheduled to be off. A

family member helps him get to and from

work and he is very dependable. First of

all, Calvin has a great personality,

he's a great person to be around and

brings out the best in other people. Whenever

he is at work or in any setting

whatsoever. As far as supports go, we

check on him once every three months and

unless something else does come up

throughout that we need to bring

attention to. Calvin enjoys his job and

being able to work with coworkers to get

the job done.

He also enjoys engaging with customers

and likes the independence of making his

own money. Despite challenges that have

often dictated her life,

Ellie Conkling handles data entry at the

YMCA in Louisville, Kentucky with

confidence. When I first started the whole

back of this office was filled with

papers. I enter tag numbers - we're trying to go

paperless. One of my big strengths is

organization. If I wasn't here,

other than the volunteer, the computer work

just wouldn't get done. Director Paul McKim

and other co-workers at the Y recognize

Ellie's skills, and they rely on her to

do her job with accuracy on a regular

basis. Because of this, she has gained

confidence and has become more

independent. The office of vocational

rehabilitation has even provided Ellie with

a power chair so that she can engage

regularly with staff, and even board a

TARC bus with ease. What do you like

about having a job? It makes me feel

valued It makes me feel like I can be

useful and not just be somebody in a

chair. I can actually get stuff done. As a

benefit of employment,

Ellie has received a free membership at

the YMCA. She enjoys working out up to

three times a week with coworkers and

other members of the Y. It has helped

to increase her upper body strength,

self-esteem, and confidence. In addition

to membership, the YMCA also offers

employees access to a personal wellness

coach, which Ellie has used to help focus

on physical activity, nutrition, and

social health. It's really neat to see

the progress.

Not only do I love my job, the

people are really - the members are

really - they're very helpful.

Jake is well-known in the community for

his love of cars. He first volunteered at

the car dealership Leon Riley Ford while

in high school. He was then hired to

empty the trash, which was a big job

since there are 15 areas to attend to. A

checklist helped him to remember all of

the areas he needed to go to. One of

his favorite part of the job was

visiting with the other employees

throughout his route. Since he first

started over four years ago,

Jake has been given additional

responsibilities, like watering the

plants, starting the cars in the winter,

and washing the cars when it is warm.

Jake's checklist has grown with his

duties to help keep them on task. On his

break,

Jake spends time on the internet adding

to his miniature NASCAR collection with

some of the money he makes. He has purchased items

that he probably wouldn't have been able to

buy - had not - Jake comes from a very supportive family who

really helps him reach his goals in every

way possible. but with Jake, you can see the pleasure and

the independence in buying and purchasing items for himself

Which one are you going to buy with this check? Uhm, "The Wall".

The Wall - that's his car he's gonna buy

with his paycheck. While dining at the

Sirloin Stockade, Jon learned of a job

opening in dish-washing and decided to

apply. He got the job! Within the first

three months of employment, Jon's

fast-pace, positive attitude, and

dependability earned him a raise. He

enjoys working at the restaurant and

being a contributing member of the team.

He and his co-workers work together to

stay on task and keep the restaurant

stocked with clean dishes and cooking

equipment. He takes pride in what he does

and owners Adam and Lisa Carver have

recognized his dedication to their

business.

He comes in here every day with a sense of

enthusiasm and just gives it a hundred percent. If I ask him to do

something he doesn't hesitate, he gets out there and takes care

of it. He takes pride in doing a good job.

You're only limited by what your mindset is.

I would say that it doesn't matter if you have

a disability

or any problem. If you're willing and determined

hard enough to do anything, and you have the determination

to get it done, then you'll succeed. Through his hard work and

commitment to the job, and the trust his

co-workers and bosses have in him, Jon's

confidence in himself and his abilities

continue to rise. Since beginning his job

he has been able to buy a new car, lease

an apartment, and even register for

classes at Murray State University. Now

that you have seen examples of what

Competitive Integrated Employment can

look like, we hope that you can imagine

yourself in such a role. Finding a job that

you love is possible if you're in a

position that best suits your strength

and skill sets.

If you've never had an opportunity to

explore your vocational interests in

work-related strength, an employment

specialist can help you discover them. As

you can see, employment gives people a

sense of accomplishment and value, more

independence and freedom to enjoy the

things that they like, and a network of

natural supports that can lead to

friendships. In some cases individuals

with disabilities who work can also

become less dependent on government

benefits and resources.

You are the most important person in

finding employment. The first step is

recognizing that you have a desire to

work. The next step is advocating for

that need, by talking with your counselor

at the Office of Vocational

Rehabilitation or the Office for the

Blind. They will guide you to get the

support you need to become a successful

employee. If you are overwhelmed by the

thought of what employment might look

like for you, we encourage you to review

the stories of our four Kentuckians again.

How A Boutonniere Lapel Pin Flower Is Made - Fort Belvedere - Duration: 6:21.

Our boutonniere flowers are as authentic as a silk flower can be but it's not easy to

manufacture fine velvet or silk fabrics that look like mother nature created them.

In fact, all of the hard work required to create these little lapel style enhancers.

In this video, we show you how Fort Belvedere boutonniere flowers are made.

In fact, very little has changed ever since they were made a hundred years ago.

So before we start making flowers, we get inspired by nature.

For example, when we hike, we can find little, beautiful mountain flowers.

If we go to the desert or if we just stroll around outside, we find these little flowers

that are perfectly sized for our lapels.

Of course, we try to produce them as realistically as possible and all of our boutonnieres are

modeled after real flowers.

There's never a fantasy product.

Once we've settled on a flower style, it's time to choose the materials.

Obviously, it all starts with the fabric.

In the beginning, we always have a plain white undyed silk or velvet or other material that

has the right thickness for that particular flower.

We only use plain white because the flowers are very delicate and it requires a special

hand dying process so they will look natural.

To ensure the material does not move, the fabric used to be fastened to a wooden board

then, we select one of over a hundred thousand metal flower dye cuts to get the actual shape

of the flower.

Traditionally, wooden hammers were used to dye cut the little flower shapes.

Today, we are just slightly more progressive because we use a machine that is more efficient

and secure for the workers.

In the next step, the fabric dye cuts are stacked on top of each other and then colored

by hand in exactly the base color the flower has in nature.

Since most flowers have multiple colors and often gradients, they must be colored a second

or a third time.

Sometimes, just the tips until the desired color palette is completed.

In order to achieve the intricate details of flowers, we use an airbrush.

As you can see, up until this point the flowers are two-dimensional or flat.

To achieve a three-dimensional shape, the flowers are put between a male and female

metal mold. With the help of heat and pressure, the flower achieves its natural shape.

Of course, different flowers have different molds.

For example, here you can see how an edelweiss gets its shape.

For some flowers, each petal is shaped like that and basically, the process is exactly

like it used to be a hundred years ago.

For example, the edges of roses must be carefully dyed and rolled by hand.

Obviously, that's a very labor intensive process.

Now it's time for the filaments.

To make those, wooden dividers are added to big reels.

Then a yarn is starched and put onto the reel.

Once the yarn is dried and starched, it is removed from the reel and cut into pieces

but they remain attached to the wooden bars because of the starch.

Depending on the flower, the thread tips are treated with the right colors and powders

to make them look as authentic as possible.

Once dried, they are removed from the wooden bars.

Now, the yarns look like actual flower filaments that can be neutralized in silk flower making.

At this point, the flowers are ready to be assembled.

It simply starts with the filaments which are usually attached to a metal wire.

Again, this is done the same way today as it used to be.

A skilled flower maker knows exactly the right amount of filaments that is needed to create

an authentic look.

So the filaments are sorted and then bound to the wire and afterwards carefully shaped

by hand.

On the other hand, the petals of the flower are attached by different techniques.

At the end of the day, it all has to look like a real boutonniere.

For example, here you can see how poppy petals are attached one by one to the wire with glue.

On the other hand, here you can see the fine filaments of the edelweiss.

Five of them are tied together by hand and then glue is added.

Now, the smaller velvet dye cut is added to the stem from the bottom and then the second

larger dye cut.

Voila!

That's the edelweiss boutonniere.

Now for your comparison, here's an edelweiss from mother nature in the alps and a Fort

Belvedere boutonniere.

Looks pretty good, doesn't it?

Once the head of the flower is completed, it's still just a plain wire.

We use a 100% green silk thread that is wrapped above the wire and afterwards, the wire is

bent and it's ready to go through the buttonhole on your lapel.

As you can see, now you have a beautiful flower that won't wilt.

Once you have them on your lapel.

it won't take long before you get compliments.

As you can see, all of this is made by hand and it takes about 30-40 minutes per flower

to complete it.

However, at Fort Belvedere, we believe that this kind of quality cannot be achieved any

other way and that's why we are committed to it.

Are you now ready to earn compliments?

You can purchase all of our boutonniere flowers in our website and you won't find these anywhere

else in the world.

We even have our packages of 3,6, and 12 flowers that come with free shipping and you can choose

exactly what you want and save a bit too.

If you're not sure where to start, I suggest you start with an edelweiss flower because

it's very versatile.

The next flower could be blue cornflower because it also goes well with dark suits, blue suits,

navy suits, but also sport coats.

As a third flower, I'd suggest you go with the carnation because it goes well for evening

wear. if you want something smaller, go with the mini carnation.

If you want something larger, go with a life sized carnation and the color is entirely

up to you.

A classic boutonniere is red or dark red but I also like purple, pink, or yellow.

Those three flowers are definitely a great start in the world of boutonnieres.

I'm sure once you have them and wear them, you want to come back for more.

12 Movies at Sundance You Need to Watch! (The Dan Cave w/ Dan Casey) - Duration: 6:51.

(rock music)

- I braved the elements both Honda and Natural.

I turned into the abominable snow Dan.

But most importantly I saw some amazing movies

at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

Over 13,000 films were submitted for consideration

and of those, 188 were selected and screened

for the 40,000 plus attendees at this year's Sundance.

Now chances are your gonna see a lot of these films

come to theaters later this year,

but what should you actually be on the lookout for?

Don't worry, I'm here to help.

On today's episode of the Dan Cave

I'm gonna tell you which Sundance titles

you won't want to miss.

Brigsby Bear.

Do you have a TV show or a movie from your childhood

that you were obsessed with

and it seemed like nobody else knew about?

Well in Brigsby Bear that's exactly what happens to James,

Kyle Mooney's character.

But that's because he was abducted as a child

and raised by a pair of insane survivalists,

one of whom was played by Mark Hamill.

Hey, pretty cool.

Now every week his captor Dad would make a public access

quality kid show for him, called Brigsby Bear.

And when James is finally out in the real world,

he realizes he's the only one

who can finish Brigsby's story,

so he decides to make a movie about it.

It's this amazing, powerfully funny, incredibly sweet film

about overcoming trauma through storytelling

and the support of friends and family.

It's also about being dope-ish (beep)

and having the most unintentionally terrifying bear mascot

this side of Five Nights at Freddy's.

The Big Sick.

No, it's not yet another nickname for Jessica Chobot,

even though it's super accurate.

In the grand tradition of Other People and 50 50,

The Big Sick is a wickedly funny comedy

that takes a sharp turn into heart wrenching medical drama.

Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon

turned their real life love story

and the health crisis that almost tore them apart

into a film that's simultaneously hilarious and devastating.

Plus, it features the best scenes of comedians

ripping on each other since Va Miller described it.

Pulls face.

The Hero.

As someone who would listen to Sam Elliott

read the Wikipedia page for dry wall,

The Hero was extremely my (bleep)

Elliott plays an aging Western star who

when faced with a life threatening cancer diagnosis

tries to land one last big role

and mend his broken family life.

Plus it features Nick Offerman

as his constantly stoned weed dealer

who gets incredibly high with Sam Elliott,

watches Buster Keaton movies and eats greasy take-out,

which sounds like a pretty ideal afternoon.

Uh, if you have glaucoma.

Ideal if you have gla

or Chinese food deficiency.

I don't know, just be responsible.

(bell rings)

Ingrid Goes West.

Be careful what you post on the internet

because if you're not, a desperate loner

played by Aubrey Plaza, might move across the country

to stalk you and try to become your BFF

by waging psychological warfare on you,

a popular lifestyle blogger, played by Elizabeth Olson

and your cool friends.

Guys, this movie is bonkers in the best way.

It's a darkly hilarious thriller

that plays kinda like Single White Female or Swimfan

for the social media set.

And you can take that fave to the grave.

XX.

A good horror anthology movie,

it's kind of like a mix tape of heebies, jeebies,

and creepy crawlies that'll give you a taste

of the twisted minds of a slew of different directors.

In the case of XX,

these directors all happen to be kick-ass women.

Jovanka Vuckovic, Karyn Kusama, Annie Clark

and Roxanne Benjamin to be specific.

Now with four drastically different styles of horror,

this frightening flick will leave you squirming in your seat

for the entirety of it's run time.

Which if nothing else is a great workout

from constantly inadvertently clenching your core.

Ha!

Ha!

Get Out.

This year's Sundance secret screening

was a big studio horror film directed by Jordan Peele.

Yet unlike most big studio horror movies ,

the latter half of Key and Peele's directorial debut

has a lot to say using modern day racism

as a prism through which to extract horror and humor

in equal measure.

You'll laugh your ass off until suddenly

things get way too real and then you'll be cowering

underneath your hooded sweatshirt.

Not that I would know

because I hid underneath a jacket.

I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore.

This movie's kinda like if the personification

of Craigslist came to life

and embarked on a crime caper full of pitch black humor,

accidental violence, and Elijah Wood

with a rat tail and numchucks,

because that is exactly what happens.

And sure, the title is way too long,

like way too long, like a really long title,

but the movie is a killer showcase

for Melanie Lynskey, who plays a woman

that's finally had enough of life beating her down

and takes justice into her own hands.

And it tells us an important lesson.

For the love of God people, pick up your dog's poop!

That'll make more sense after you see it,

but also just do it IRL.

If you're not foin' it already, you're a monster.

And on top of what I mentioned here,

our east coast editor Micheal Arbiter

and our writer Scott Bags recommend the following.

Dee Rees' 1940's set racial drama Mudbound.

The German manic pixie fever dream of Axolotl Overkill,

The Armie Hammer starring coming of age drama,

Call Me by My Name,

David Lowery's A Ghost Story,

which has the best stress eating scenes.

And I accidentally opened the front facing camera

on my phone while he was eating Buffalo wings,

and the young Han Solo starring Iraq War film,

The Yellow Birds.

These are all worth keeping an eye on.

Make sure you don't sleep on these.

And those, folks, are just a few of the awesome movies

from the 2017 Sundance Film Festival.

You should definitely keep these on your radar.

But tell me, what films do you most want to see?

What would you add to this list?

Let me know on the comments below

and give me an independent thumbs up while you're there.

Now be sure to tune in next time

or else you might miss the story

of a group of scientists and explorers on the hunt

for the world's deadliest orphan in Annie Conda.

Until next time, keep on diggin'.

And a huge thanks to John Wick Chapter Two

for sponsoring today's show.

Legendary hit man John Wick

is forced back out of retirement

by a former associate plotting to seize control

of a shadowy international assassins guild.

Bound by a bloody oath to help him,

John travels to Rome where he squares off

against some of the world's deadliest killers.

You can see the bad ass action film when it hits theaters

on February 10th 2017.

@greg1756 asks, on a scale of 10 to frozen chestnuts,

how was Sundance?

Anything we should seriously be keeping an eye on?

Dude, Greg, what the hell, man.

Did you even watch today's episode?

You know, that old chestnut?

That old what are you doing, Greg?

What is goin' on over there in Scotland, Greg?

Chestnut.

Come on.

@shajeerd asks, with Jason Inman and D.J. Wallridge

comin' out with their comic books this year,

what would your comic be about?

Well, that's a great question and first of all let me say

don't forget about Jessica Chobots comic, Firebrand,

which you can read now.

While I would love to tell you about my comic.

I'm actually workin' on a couple ideas,

so I actually want to keep them under wraps for now,

but I promise you guys will be the first to know

if anything comes of it.

@nateb asks if you had to choose, who in the world

would you want to strike a ginyu force pose with?

Huh?

Great question Nate.

I'd probably choose Ferrell with his giant hat.

Nicolas Cage from Con Air, Dolly Parton from Nine to Five,

and oo, Madeleine Albright, because I think that'd make

for like a dynamic visual tableau

and they'd all look great wearing scouters.

But tell me,

who would you want to strike a ginyu force pose with?

Let me know in the comments below

and I'll see you guys next time!

Do you have THIS kind of self-confidence? Check! - Duration: 6:08.

Imagine a person that from a very young age

was fed a very strong narcotic.

Its effects are so strong

that almost everything that the man does

is intended to get him another dose of the drug.

When he finally gets his dose,

he feels happy and fulfilled,

is in a great state of mind.

However, a lack of the drug

causes frustration and depression.

It just so happens

that we are all dependent on that drug.

That drug is the need

for approval, respect and love from other people.

You are enslaved,

because you need the approval of other people.

You are easily controlled.

Don't believe me?

Test it on your friend.

When you see him, tell them:

"You look great! Did you lose weight? You look 10 years younger"

Guess how he'll react.

You can also guess how he would react

if you were to criticize them.

One day a professor said in his lecture

that most people allow others to

control their frame of mind by only using their words.

After this comment,

one of the students stood up and said:

"That's not true! I can't be controlled that way."

The professor then responded:

"Shut up and sit down, you idiot!"

And then it began...

"How dare you say that to me?

You call yourself a professor?"

The professor started apologizing

and saying that he crossed the line.

The student quickly calmed down.

After a while the professor said:

"See? It only took a few words to make you furious

and another few to calm you down

and you say you can't be controlled?"

You can say that it's human behavior.

That's just how people are.

But is it actually true?

Is it really human

to be a little monkey controlled by everyone around?

People who do that are like robots.

You press a compliment button

and the robot immediately reacts -

- it's happy and pleased.

Then you press the criticism button -

- the robot is crushed. Its whole day is ruined.

Do you want to know what human behavior means?

There once was an elderly man.

Every morning he walked to the store

to buy a newspaper.

The seller was always rude to him.

Sometimes you didn't answer to his "Good morning!",

others he mumbled something fussily.

One day the elderly man's son notice the way

his father was getting treated and said to him:

"Why do you keep buying your newspaper

in a place where the seller is so rude to you?

Why can't you go to the kiosk nearby?"

The man answered:

"Why should he decide where I buy my newspaper?"

Does this mean that it's possible

to be completely resistant to the words of other people?

Yes.

How you achieve that?

The first step is to understand

that you don't need other people in order to be happy.

Of course, we're all dependent on each other

on the levels of our interest.

That's how society works.

You need a baker, doctor or police officer.

This kind of dependence is ok.

But it's not true when they say that you need your family,

friends, boyfriend or girlfriend in order to be happy.

You can think about that.

One young woman

was in a relationship with an attractive man.

She was deeply in love,

but one day they broke up

and it caused her a lot of pain.

She believed that he made her happy

and now that he's gone

it's impossible to be happy again.

However, time passed

and she got back into a normal life.

She was happy once again.

Just like the way she was before she met him.

It turned out that she did not need him to be happy.

This applies to other things.

You don't need success, money, respect

for recognition from other people to be happy.

You don't need to be loved either.

You need to love.

Yes, it's a natural need,

but you can live without the love

and affection of other people.

Second, be aware of what goes on around you.

When you experience negative emotions during

contact with other people,

realize that it's your own business, not theirs.

You don't have to accept anything they say.

Observe your own and their behavior

as if you were standing on the side.

Don't take anything personally.

When the desperate need to be liked, respected and

wanted by other ppl disappears,

nothing will be able to hurt you anymore.

You will be free.

To achieve this, you don't need any effort.

You just need to understand.

Start today and observe yourself

as if you're standing on the side.

Notice the things that make you mad or sad,

notice when other people take control over your emotions.

Be aware of it all.

How to Use IFTTT to Automate Your Life and Business - Duration: 16:47.

So this is IFTTT. This is their home

screen and does it not look great? Isn't

that pretty?

(Applause)

Yeah the crowd here seems to like it.

So what's so great about it is that

its just so plug-and-play,

Its pretty and it's simple

so you that you can't ask for more than

that and these are my applets that I

have set up and there's a couple of fun

ones that I want to bring to your

attention, stuff maybe you've never

thought about before. There's some

obvious ones that are just practical but

I really like having fun with some of

the ones that are more out-of-the-box so

the first one I'm going to show you is

this one.

So what this says is if the

weather changes then post a tweet with

an image to my Twitter account. Let me

back up here because I didn't do a great job

just sort of introducing what IFTTT is.

The essence of IFTTT and that is it

connects applications and devices

together to automate things to make your

life just a little bit easier okay?

When do you think might be a good

time to use something like this? I could

think of a million ways and I actually

was inspired a while ago by a blog post

that I read that talked about how the

Corcoran group in New York uses this.

So basically whenever New York is

forecast well actually whenever it rains

in New York a tweet automatically goes

out with an image and it says

Hey New York check out these top 10 things to do

in New York when it rains in the city

when it rains, something like that so I

thought that was a great idea you can

also time this for sunrise and sunset so

one of my clients was an online Jewish

magazine and so what we did was we

triggered a like shabbat shalom happy

sabbath to go out with the

sun down on Friday so really cool. What

I did in this case here's one I'll show

you a graphic so when it rains in

Cleveland I send out this graphic and it

says It's raining Cleveland a great time

to get cozy and brush up on your social

media so think about the ways that you

might use that but you can also do it

based on your calendar so let me get

back to here so you could say on the

first of every month to do this you know

on every full moon do this so really

really fun way to use IFTTT. Let me go

back over to my applets. Okay now

let's just talk about I'm going to walk

through these we're just going to talk

about some of these you probably already

have set up look at this red square up here

on the top right and it says post your

Instagram photos as native Twitter

photos when twitter is in the caption so

if you want your Instagram photos to

show up nice and big and beautifully in

the twitter feed

that's all you have to do is set

this this applet up and the reason you

would do this is because if you just

connect the app whether it's Facebook or

Twitter anything with instagram then you

typically just end up with an ugly

little link in this case it post the

picture nice and big and bold and

beautiful. But check this one out

so on Twitter what this one says is if

anybody tweets with the phrase I want to

create a course then send me a text

message at this number

so really anytime anybody tweets with

that exact phrase I'm going to get a

text message

now why is that a good idea like why why

would I particularly want to have that

information

well because I have a course that

teaches people how to create courses now

another experiment that I love to do

is and those of you who have followed me

for a while have probably seen me do

this a few times but to be honest with

you it really never loses its novelty.

As far as I'm concerned this is just the coolest

thing ever and that is you're going to

go over to Twitter and then we're going

to go to advanced search which is

twitter.com/search-advanced

Alright this is what we want and where

it says this exact phrase I'm going to

say I need a graphic designer and then

we're going to click search

and what you see is all the people who have just

tweeted that they need a

graphic designer.

This person is "Guys I need a graphic designer

someone to design logos,

t-shirts, corporate branding. I'll pay

marketplace price pls retweet to assist

or please reply to it

assist." "I need a graphic designer that's

good at recreating logos" I mean on and

on but you don't have time to sit here

and hit advanced search all day long in

twitter but what you do have time to do

is to set this up so maybe you're if

you're a graphic designer in these

quotation marks it would say I want a

I need a graphic designer and then you're

going to get a tweet every time someone

says that. Pretty cool right? Let's go

back over to the other applets and

remember don't worry you know don't

worry about writing all this down. I am

putting all this into a slick workbook

that's going to be emailed out tomorrow

of course it's free and I'm hopefully going

to compile some of your suggestions for

your favorite IFTTT applets and recipes

combined with these as well.

Let's see here. What's the next one? Automatically

sync start emails in gmail to evernote

so I don't know about you but I get a

ton of email and a lot of them I don't

have time to answer right away but

they're important and I don't want to

forget about them so I will star I'll

click the little star in gmail and it

will automatically go to my Evernote

this next one automatically create new

reminders on your iphone for emails

that you star in gmail yeah that's redundant.

ok email me 10 things to know in the

morning I love this one. This one I get

this is where I get great ideas for what

to post on my social media because I've

got New York time results New York Times

basically I get an alert from them with

any breaking technology news

so if you're in the health and wellness

space then you would get breaking news

for health and wellness and so on and so forth

according to whatever your niche is.

What else that I want to point out oh this one's

cool so whenever you arrive in the city

in New York send yourself a map of the

subway so I'm they're quite a bit these

days because I've been participating in

Todd Hermans Basecamp mastermind

and so it's cool. The minute that I land

I get an email with the map of the

subway system. This one saves my tush

more times than I can even tell you.

This is set an SMS alert before any event

starts on your google calendar so for

example today I had a client call at ten

am I almost forgot about it but I got a

text message 15 minutes prior to the

meeting that said your meeting with

so-and-so is starting at 10am so that was

really helpful.

Every morning at 7am

I get the forecast for the day.

This one pin a photo to a Pinterest board and

this one I highly recommend right here

where it says if new IFTTT update then

send me a text message and that's

because IFTTT is constantly adding new

integrations new devices and softwares

and platforms that they integrate with

and you'll find out about it if you set

up that rule so let me show you quickly

starting from the beginning how you set

up one of these easy peasy little

recipes and see look at how beautiful

this is.

It's so

like I just love how clean and simple

it is so you're just going to follow the

prompts so we're going to click here if

this now look at all these things we

have to choose from we can connect any

of this stuff together even your washing machine

ok your washing machine, light bulbs

SurveyMonkey I mean I'm just randomly

your nest thermostat on and on and on

so many things

ok so let's say on it you don't want to

scroll through all these things and you

know what it is you want to connect then

you could just start typing it in date

and time and now I could say everyday at

a certain time every hour every day of

the week every year on a certain date

and time you specify every month on the

whatever day of every month so every

single person that's watching with your

audience

there's something you can come up with

that would be of value to your audience

to send to them on the first of every

month or at the last day of every month

to check in and say hey you know it's

the last day of the month

did you do such and so or this is a

reminder to do such and so so explore

this and have fun with it so what we're

going to do is we're going to say every

month on the first of the month and then

we're going to click create trigger and

then the next probably get is this blue

that so now we're going to click on that

and what do we want to do? what do we want to do

on the first very much gosh we have

so many options so I'm going to say

Facebook page and I'm going to say that

I want to I could either just create a

status message or post a link or I can

upload a photo from a URL so that's

probably going to be the best thing to

do so I'm going to click here and I'm

going to put in the photo URL. Now quick

tip, little pro tip for you- in order to get a

really easy clean URL

for a photo like the one that I showed

you here that I have that goes out on a

tweet every time that it rains is to go over

to Amazon S3 now I'm warning you now

that if you're not familiar with amazon

s3 when you look at it you're going to go

ay ya yay This is more than I want to

take on but if you just follow exactly

what I'm doing

you're going to be fine and now look at

this teeny weeny weeny right there

s3 that's what you want and what I'm

showing you is basically a cloud but the

great thing about amazon s3 is that

number one stuff uploads lightning-fast

you can create these buckets to organize

your content and the truth is I need to

go in there and add a few more buckets

and organize myself a little better but

you can create these buckets and then

and then you upload videos or graphics

or PDF documents and it gives you these

shareable links in it

I don't even know what I pay for this

it's so inexpensive maybe five dollars a

month and I have so many videos so much

content and I've never gotten a message

that says like you're running low

on content and it's extraordinarily

reliable in fact there's a lot of

big-name systems and platforms like

teaching platforms and I don't want to

name them right now because I used one

the other day and I can't remember which

one it was.

Like I don't know if it was teachable

I don't know where I was

but the point is a lot of big companies

that house your content already use

Amazon S3 to host so that just shows

you like how

how kind of durable it is or dependable

I should say so okay so here we are and

I'll just go over here to this one

because this is just what I uploaded that

little dog graphic and you click upload

and then you're going to click add file

and I recommend for this purpose to find

a PNG document

which is what Canva If you create

your graphic in canva it will default to

that format so let me go to downloads

because I know I have one there

well I thought I did so now what I'm

going to do is just click .PNG in my

search and that'll bring something up

just so I could demonstrate okay so

we'll just pick this and then click open

and then don't forget this part in the

lower right hand corner click start upload.

Ok done do you see how fast that was?

That's insane. Done. Not only that I'm

live streaming and I've got all these

things open and that just happened that fast

so then this is very very important.

You're going to click to the left of

that file its blue now and then you're

going to click properties

and you're going to click permissions and then add

more permissions and you're going to

click open download you're going to

check that check the little box and then

you're going to make sure on the pop-up

menu click everyone then click save.

Now we're going to hit reload on this

and there's the file we're going to click

the little blue button again click

properties again and then there it is

there's our beautiful little link so you

just turn that graphic into a link.

This also by the way works really well as a

lead magnet so you know

as opposed to sort of like when you send a thank-you

after someone opts into your thing or on

the thank you button on your lead page

you can have this be the link so they

are immediately click on it and they're

automatically taken right to

thing that they opted in for so very

very cool. Alright so let's go back over here.

So the photo URL would be whatever

it was that we just created and then you

put your message here it's the first of

the month

it's lalala and then just click create

action and then that's going to be your

IFTTT recipe there so that's it. That's

how you create a recipe it's just gonna

keep going to walk you through it

totally plug-and-play. Please feel free

to comment down below and share your

favorite IFTTT applet with us and for

those of you are just joining us this

will be mailed out to you if you're on my

email list you're going to get the

beautiful workbook that I'm creating

which is a compilation of all my

favorite IFTTT recipes some that we

mentioned today and some that I did not

get a chance to mention so on that note

have a great day. Thanks for joining me

and I hope you have some nice zesty

delicious tacos tonight because it is

TACO Tuesday.

5 Habits of Deeply Connected Couples - Duration: 3:36.

So, you have developed a budding romance with someone who you are madly in love with.

Though, like any good thing in life, continuing down this path into romantic bliss takes work.

When discussing with your partner how to continue to improve and strengthen your relationship,

consider these tips.

Today we will discuss five important habits that couples who are deeply connected practice

on a regular basis.

• Sharing Intimate Knowledge About Yourself Opening yourself up like a book to your partner

is key.

You should not feel embarrassed or judged by them as you discuss your past relationships,

your religion, your family and even your most embarrassing moments.

Getting to this deeper level will build trust, respect and engagement with one another.

You will get to know each other like no one else and will often develop a deep connection

where you can tell what the other person is thinking, even without them saying anything.

• Learning About the Other Person Throughout your relationship, you will constantly

be learning more and more about your partner.

While some of this will come naturally, it is important to inquire as to the deeper questions

about your partner.

Some questions to consider asking your partner are:

• What was the happiest and saddest time of your childhood?

• Who is the most influential person in your life?

• What personal goals do you have for yourself?

How can I help you to achieve them?

• How can I be a better life partner to you?

After you ask these questions, it is important that you give your partner the platform to

answer them.

Listen intently and do not judge.

They are making themselves more vulnerable to you by answering the questions.

• Sharing Philosophies While you and your partner ready yourselves

for your future, it is important that you discuss your core values and beliefs.

Obviously, you and your partner are compatible enough to get together and pursue a romantic

relationship, so you must have some things in common.

Where you get deeply connected is when your core values match up and you and your partner

share the same morals and beliefs.

• Positive Interactions Communication is an essential part of a relationship

that can either make it or break it.

In communicating, there are two important parts of interacting, which are listening

and play.

Listening is important because you are dedicating your full attention to your partner, taking

in all they have to say and making yourself physically and emotionally present to process

their thoughts and feelings.

Play is just as it sounds, you make a conscious decision to have some fun with your partner.

Experiencing joy and humor together are two of the most important ways to form a deeper

connection with one another.

• Reinforced Commitment As we discussed earlier, trust is one of the

most important aspects of a successful relationship.

However, if that trust is broken, one will feel betrayed.

This can become detrimental to a relationship.

Everyday each of us make the choice to either betray our partners or build upon the trust.

Making the choice to respect our partners and commit to their trust will only deepen

our connection and increase the chance of success in our relationship.

Do you feel as though you are in a well-connected relationship?

What do you feel are the most important factors that you and your partner practice to keep

that connection strong?

Let us know in our comment section to continue this discussion.

Picking a Tool for Water Marbling with Nail Polish | Water Marbling 101 - Duration: 1:38.

Hey everyone!

The Water Marbler here, comin' at ya today

with a short video about choosing a tool

for water marbling with nail polish.

There are so many things that you can pick

to draw in your nail polish with.

You can use a dotting tool,

a needle poked into an eraser

a toothpick, or one of the many water marbling tools

that you can buy online.

I personally typically opt for a toothpick though,

and here's why.

Since it's a wooden toothpick,

it's nice and porous

and not terribly thin.

This allows it to really grab on to

the polish and drag it quite a ways

in the design.

If you choose a needle

you're going to cut through the polish more

and there's going to be less drag.

This can be really awesome if you're doing really intricate designs,

but I usually tend to pick a chunkier design

that can be seen from a distance.

So I prefer the greater drag

that you get from a toothpick

most of the time.

This is part of the reason that I don't have

any tools that are specifically

made for water marbling.

Because they tend to be sharp, thin instruments

that are designed to cut through the polish.

And I could get the same thing

with a needle for free.

But that's just my two cents on it,

and you have to cater your tool

to the application and desired effect.

Just play with it

and figure out what feels right.

I really hope you enjoyed this video

and and found it helpful information

for your water marbles.

Happy marbling!

Thanks so much for watching!

Cleft Grafting Grapefruit - Duration: 3:01.

hi today i will share with you cleft

grafting of the grapefruit in another

citrus tree make a v-shaped cut on the

section it should be sharp and clean

select the section that at least

contains two buds to increase the

success rate

make sure you do the cutting right end

of the section or it will not grow

check the buds and see if it is in right

direction

for cleft grafting you need to select the

rootstock that matches in sickness to

the section you want to graph this is

the most important thing once you

selected the rootstock make vertical cut

in the center of the rootstock

now open up the cut

insert the section carefully into the

rootstock make sure to align cambium in

the section and rootstock at least in

one side i would like to mention that

you can click the CC icon to see the

explanation in writing to also if you

like to translate this video another

preferred language you can help me with

that by sending the translation or

follow the links in description also

you're welcome to share this video with

others

wrap the grafting joint with the

grafting tape nicely if you don't have

grafting tape like me just wrap it with

electrical tape

just make sure it is waterproof it is

good idea to use graphing wax to cover

the joints i have used homemade grafting

wax in my new grafting then success rate

is much better it is very important that

the grass is waterproof or graft will

rotten

now cover it with a clear nylon to

protect it from drying out

Casey Evans - Program Director, MS Accounting Program - Duration: 1:49.

So, when we get to orientation on Day 1 I am talking about the job they are going

to have when they graduate and the exam they are going to pass when they graduate.

That is really our focus – to lay the foundation educationally to provide them with a good

base to have a solid career in accounting.

Depending on what they've done previously, looking at what they want to do in the future,

we help them design a Master's that's really a good fit for them, while also preparing

them for the CPA.

What makes our program unique is that you do not have to have any accounting before

you come get your Master's in accounting.

You have a business background, say you are working in a job and you need the CPA

to move up. You've gotten into accounting but you didn't study it. So we can help you

enhance your career.

For students who studied accounting as undergrads, this is really helping them just fine-tune

their career and knowledge in accounting.

It's also really flexible.

You can do the program full-time, part-time.

You can go between one or the other, depending on what happens in your life.

All our classes are in the evening so it really allows our students to work during the day

and also do class, which is really the preference for a lot.

We have small classes so you get a lot of time with your faculty. You get to know your

colleagues pretty well,

so it creates a nice learning environment for our students.

I always think that individual attention, coupled with our location, creates a really nice environment.

Typically, most of our students go to big four. Some go to smaller accounting firms,

working in public accounting, but we also have students going in to forensic accounting,

into tax, in to consulting. I mean, accounting allows you to do many things, so we are fortunate

to see that our students have a variety of career opportunities when they graduate.
