Waching daily Feb 1 2017

Hey, everybody, I'm Justin with americanmuscle.com, and this is my detailed review and install

of the Magnaflow Off Road Pro Series Cat-Back Exhaust System with Turn Down, available for

your five-liter powered 2015 and newer F-150.

All right, exhaust review time, that means it's time to talk about the big three things

you all wanna hear about when shopping for a system.

We're gonna break down the sound profile, using the Off Road system here from Magnaflow.

We're gonna look at the construction and materials from this little system, and then finally

talk about getting it installed onto your F-150.

And in the land of Cat-Back exhaust systems for your F-150, this might just be the easiest

install yet.

So a soft one out of three wrenches on the difficulty meter, a little bit more detail

coming up later on.

So the Off Road Pro Series from Magnaflow that we have in this video should appeal to

the F-150 owners out there looking for a unique system that's gonna provide you a little bit

more ground clearance here for my hardcore Off Roaders out there.

And it's also gonna deliver on a very deep and aggressive exhaust note.

Flipping the script a little bit, this is also gonna be a great choice for truck owners

out there, who maybe, don't like the look of any exhaust tips on the ride, and would

like to eliminate the visual appearance of an exhaust system from their truck completely.

Let's get right into the sounds clips here at Magnaflow.

It is my favorite part when talking to you guys about the exhaust after all.

And the Magnaflow actually was a little surprising in my book.

From given the appearance of the system here, and how little it is, the small, little muffler,

I thought this thing was gonna be a boomer from the outside of the truck.

Really wasn't the case.

This thing was actually pretty mild outside of the truck.

Inside of the truck, however, a completely different story.

You hear this thing a ton, and it's really no secret as to why.

This thing is essentially dumping behind the passenger side cab here in your F-150, so

I don't wanna call it drone, but let's just say you're gonna hear it at all times.

If that's not what you're into, you might wanna keep shopping for a different system.

So, what does this all mean for my wake-the-neighbor scale?

Well, I was kind of conflicted here in between a soft three out of five and a strong two

out of five, so let's just call it middle of the road three out of five on my one to

five or one to wake-the-neighbor scale.

Again, not the loudest system out there by any means, but it does have a nice, deep tone

overall.

The number one factor in shaping the sound with the Magnaflow here with this particular

system, I should say, is the Pro Series Muffler that they include.

A little different from the MF series mufflers and a lot of their other F-150 offerings,

and again, it's going to give you a ton of flow here straight through by design, and

it still manages to keep the volume to a reasonable level.

I don't know how they do it.

Again, I'm looking at this thing.

I'm thinking that it's gonna be the loudest damn thing in the market.

Really not the case.

A nice, deep, aggressive tone overall, and pretty mild-mannered.

Now, let's move into the materials and construction a little bit here with this system.

And, as you can see, there's really not a lot to talk about, right?

409-grade stainless for the construction here with Magnaflow system, a consistent material

that they use in a lot of their Mustang and F-150 systems.

What little piping there is, is three-inch mandrel bent.

You are looking at the Turn Down as well here that does dump right around that passenger

side rear tire.

It is very discreet.

It is out of the way, and again, makes for a great choice for any hardcore wheelers out

there.

And again, I think the low-profile aspect of the Off Road Pro Series system from Magnaflow

will be one of the biggest draws when checking this thing out for the very first time.

There's really nothing quite like it in the category.

If you're doing some off-roading, or maybe again, you just prefer that low-key appearance,

or lack thereof, of the disappearing exhaust trick that this thing is gonna do, then I

really do think that you're gonna enjoy this system.

However, if you're a fan of the tried and true dual-split rear exit configuration, well,

Magnaflow does have a few options for you on the site.

It's gonna be a bit different and priced a little higher as well.

Speaking of price, you're looking at right around 600 bucks for the Off Road Pro Series.

Which, depending on your opinion here and the lack of materials, might seem a little

bit on the high side for some of you out there.

But you have to keep in mind Magnaflow stuff is always very nicely assembled, very nice

quality overall, made in the USA, and they do have your back with a pretty solid warranty.

As promised, let's briefly talk install.

And as you might imagine, this little guy isn't gonna be too challenging whatsoever.

In fact, one out of three wrenches, a very soft one out of three wrenches, on the difficulty

meter.

Maybe an hour from start to finish is really all you're looking at here.

We call it an hour or two on the site, but I wouldn't be surprised if you blew through

it much faster.

As far as basic tools here, well, a socket set and really nothing else.

It's very straightforward, guys.

Drop that factory system down first, using your socket set.

It is all one piece, so an extra set of hands might not be a bad idea for this step, and

then get this guy installed in reverse order.

Again, very simple, very straightforward install, that should take you a few minutes from start

to finish once you get that factory system out of the way.

A few final words on this system, the Magnaflow Off Road Pro Series sure is gonna be one of

the most unique systems on the site and will offer a few things other Cat-Backs will not,

such as increased ground clearance, and a very discreet presentation.

If you can put up with some interior noise, I really think you're gonna dig this system

and its very aggressive deep tone, and you can check one out for your F-150 right here

at americanmuscle.com.

Testing Medibang Paint [ Voice Over ] - Duration: 15:22.

Hi everyone! How are you?

As you may guess today's speedpaint is a Voice Over. I felt like talking to you all for a bit :)

You can also see that today I'm not using Paint Tool SAI as I usually do

For this one I decided to try a program called Medibang Paint Pro.

So today I'll explain you some things about this program for you to know it a little better.

Medibang is a totally free drawing software

You can also use it on your phone/tablet.

I'll leave you the link of the official website in the description box

and you can check it later and read the instructions to download, install and use it.

It's a very light program, installation was really fast and easy.

To take full advantage of it you should create an account on their website

that way you'll be able to download lots of materials, brushes

or creating your own custom ones and then uploading them to the Internet

so other people can download and use them. That way we can share our knowledge with other artists.

I've tested Medibang using my old but loyal Wacom Bamboo Pen

and pressure worked perfecly fine. It doesn't seem to have big compatibility issues with graphic tablets.

Let's talk a bit about the brushes.

At first sight they may look a bit limited but as I said you can download more by creating an account.

And you can actually customize them a lot to fit your own taste and needs.

Brushes aren't located all over the left side of the screen (like in Photoshop)

You can find them by clicking on the Pen/Brush icon at the top, and then moving to the bottom box.

Okay, let's start by comenting the bad things I've found.

There were a few things I found uncomfortable from the beggining.

You can open several files at the same time but it won't let you move them along the workspace

so you can see more than 1 file at the same time.

So I couldn't have the reference of the character and my illustration open side by side at the same time.

However there's this very interesting window at the top left

It is literally a window where you can open any picture to have them as a reference

Hence the name... "Reference"

It still felt a bit weird for me to use it, but I must admit it is a nice thing that not every program has (like SAI).

And that way the lack of visualizing more than 1 file at the same time is less noticeable.

What more?... uhm...

Ah! It lacks of a... how could I say it? ...

Rotating Wheel?

Meaning it does have a button to rotate to the left and another one to rotate to the right

but it doesn't have a button to do both things at the same time.

(Maybe it does have it but I really couldn't find it or even configure it to my liking)

Again that is almost no noticeable because you can do it by using a bar that appears there

when you pass with your mouse over it.

Basically you just need to drag the bar to one side or another to rotate the canvas.

It's really easy.

But since I'm used to do it with the R on my keyboard it felt a bit uncomfortable having to do it on the screen.

The few options to edit colors, such as Brightness/Contrast and Hue/Saturation

also work slighlty different than they do on SAI.

They also felt a bit weird at first.

I think we can finally move to the positive things! ♥

The program is very light but that doesn't mean it is too simple!

It has Text tools, Ruler tools for perspective,

it can also save files in psd (photoshop) format

which is really handy if you need to export it to other programs

because nowadays most of the drawing programs can save and load .psd files

Stabilizer works well too, is very similar to the SAI one.

Both the Bucket Tool and the Magic Wand can recognize what's drawn on the picture right now

and use those parameters to select or fill certain parts of the drawing easily.

It's a similar option to the Selection Source that SAI has.

Comes with Shape Tools to make circles, polygons (SAI doesn't have any of these yet).

So it's a plus :)

There's also a tool to make Gradients like in Photoshop.

there's no such a thing on SAI for the time being.

On SAI you have to make them manually.

The brushes can achieve really big sizes.

Comes with 3 options for layers: one is to block the layer's limit which would be Preserve Opacity on SAI.

A clipping group option too.

and the third one allows you to block the layer totally to prevent you from modifying it by mistake.

Photoshop has this kind of option but SAI doesn't yet.

Comes with some Blending Modes for layers as well.

The usual ones like Multiply, Screen, Overlay, etc.

Don't expect it to have a huge list of modes xD

And also comes with a Gaussian Blur option. Again this feature is available on Photoshop but not SAI.

And what I like a LOT from Medibang is that is has an Auto-Save option!

You can set it to your liking so it auto-saves the file every 5, 10, 20 minutes...

Yeah some programs may do like temporary save files

to prevent you from loosing everything in case the program crashes.

But this is the first time I've ever seen a program that actually saves your file automatically.

Just like when you do it by yourself, but with this option the program does it for you.

I'm not saying we should forget about saving manually with this!

But I think it's very nice that there's an auto-save option

because I'm sure many of you have lost at least one or two drawings

just because one day you forgot to save for about 2 hours, the program crashed suddenly

and the drawing got destroyed uwu

At this point I had to switch to Paint Tool SAI to finish this piece.

Not because the program wasn't working well

but because I was getting tired of not knowing where everything was placed

and this was also a commission so I chose finishing it in a program I knew and work comfortably

rather than risking for the picture to be of a lower quality

because I didn't have enough experience to manage this program or because of the stress I was getting

by this lack of experience xD

So, let's sum things up!

Overall I think Medibang is a really good program.

It's pretty complete.

I'd say it's something in the middle of the simple, yet effective, Paint Tool SAI

and more complex drawing program like Clip Studio Paint or the well know Photoshop.

It's totally free which is really kind from them, specially for begginers that

are still learning how to use digital tools and don't want to spend too much money on certain things.

I know it also comes with tools and options to make Comics

but I haven't tried any of those so I can't say a thing about it.

But I wanted to let you know that it has some tools for that, which is already more than what SAI has currently.

The few bad things I've pointed out about the program

are all because of my personal preferences.

It's not like the program doesn't work well or the tools are bad or anything like that

I'm just used to work in a certain way, with certain tools and settings

so when changing to a new program things will be placed in a different way or work differently

and it's hard to get used to those changes at the beggining.

But overall I'd give Medibang a high grade!

Being a free program I did NOT expect it to be of any good.

but it met my expectations in the end.

And as you can see you can make great quality illustrations with Medibang.

If you're looking for your first digital drawing program

I'd totally recommend Medibang.

Or if you're looking for an alternative to the one you're currently using, I'd recommend it too.

By testing different programs you'll eventually find the one where you work more comfortably.

We're finished with the Medibang talk, but since I see there's still some time left

would you like for me to try to explain you my coloring method for a bit?

(since I get that requested a lot on my social media)

As I said, I will TRY. You know I'm not the best at explaining certain things uwu

As you may have noticed, lately I started to color my illustrations like this:

I make a preliminary shadow over each color layer.

It's kind of a simple shadow, sometimes imprecise too

and the color may not be the final one neither.

The function of this preliminary shadow

is that once everything is colored

I could tell if everything looks like I wanted or if something must be fixed.

If I don't like a certain part, I change it.

So once everything look good, I go back to every shadow layer

Click on the Preserve Opacity of that said layer.

So I can paint on the shadow layer without going farther than its limits

and then I add more color, darkness...

I try to give it more expressiveness or depth to each shadow.

It's not necessary to use a darker color

you can also use a more saturated color

or quite the opposite, a brighter color so it gives the picture kind of an unrealistic or magic feeling.

Trust me, it can work very well.

Like I did on the upper part of the legs

the tips of the hair (which you'll see later)

or some clothing folds.

While I work on each shadow I also make use of some Blending Modes

such as Overlay, Luminosity, Lumi&Shade...

I don't have a specific rule to use them

I just use them when I think I need them to create certain effects I want to achieve.

If you need a further explanation about those Blending Modes

you may want to check this other video.

Last I add some lights on a new layer if I think I need them

and we're done! :)

Once the illustration is basically finished

I go up to the lineart layer (or group of layers)

I create a new layer, clip it to the lineart

and I start coloring on it to change the lineart colors to something softer.

If you already like how your black lines look (or whatever color you use for your lines)

you don't have to change them.

But I dislike how black lines look on my illustrations that's why I change them at the end.

I think that way I can give the picture a softer or sweeter look.

Lately I've also been adding some white lines on my illustrations.

I do that in order to create more depth or separate some parts of the picture.

To do that I just merge all the layers into one.

I make a new layer and clip it to where the drawing is.

And draw some white lines with whatever random brush.

It's also an optional step.

Some months ago I didn't do that, so many in the future I'll stop doing it

and then I'll go back to using that method and so on...

It's just a little detail to make your illustrations funnier.

Lastly we move to Photoshop

and fight with it for a while until a good background comes out xD

I'll show you how to make backgrounds and the color correction and effects I use

in another video, okay? ^w^

If you're looking for more tutorials about coloring

you may also check this one.

There I explain some tricks that you may find useful.

That's it for today! :)

I hope this kind of quick "review" about Medibang was useful for you guys.

And I hope you've enjoyed this video as well.

See you on the next one! Bye ♥

How can I overcome anxiety without medication? - Duration: 5:33.

Welcome.

My name is Peter Strong and I'm a professional mindfulness therapist offering mindfulness

therapy online for the treatment of anxiety and depression and other emotional problems.

If you'd like to learn how to overcome anxiety without medication then I can definitely help

you through these online sessions.

Mindfulness therapy teaches us that the prime cause of anxiety is the way that we identify

with our emotions and with our thoughts.

So what happens is that an emotional reaction gets triggered by triggers, which could be

thoughts, they could be external events as a driving anxiety.

It could be all range of factors: it could be physical sensations experienced in the

body.

These are triggers and what the trigger is an eventual emotional reaction.

That is psychological and that habitual psychological reaction then triggers reactive thinking and

behavioral reactivity, such as avoidance strategies.

It also triggers bodily reactions, such as increased heart rate, increased perspiration,

reddening of the face, and other common physical sensations associated with anxiety.

These reactions in turn trigger and feed the underlying emotional reaction and so it becomes

a vicious circle.

The secret is to really learn how to break this this reactive habit, this cycle in which

one part triggers another part creating that anxiety.

You need to learn for example to be able to isolate the triggers and see triggers without

blindly reacting emotionally.

We need to be able to see the emotional reactions and hold them in conscious awareness without

allowing them to trigger thought reactions, and so on.

And we need to be able to also develop conscious awareness of body sensations that are produced

by the anxiety without reacting to those physical sensations in the body with catastrophic thinking

and other forms of emotional reaction.

So once we can start to separate these different elements and start to dis-identify from them

then we can break the habit that creates the anxiety and feeds it.

And once you start feeding the anxiety then the anxiety reaction itself, the emotional

reaction, will begin to subside and eventually it will be eliminated or reduced to a normal

level.

So this is the subject of mindfulness therapy, we learn how to identify the triggers, the

emotional reactions, the thought reactions, the behavioral reactions, and the bodily reactions.

We learn to separate each one from the others so that we can break this reactive cycle.

It's quite easy actually to do.

The real problem is that we have never done this before.

Most people have never really thought to look at the elements of their emotional reactivity,

they just blindly identify with them.

But there is, as we say in mindfulness therapy, there is no law that says you have to react

in a certain way.

The reactions are habits and habits are a product of blindness, of not being seen, as

much as anything else.

So if you'd like to learn more about how to overcome anxiety without using medication,

then please go to my website and e-mail me, and we can schedule a Skype therapy session

at a time that works for you, and I'll begin teaching you the practical ways of managing

your emotional reactivity.

So I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Diving a Waterfall with a Drone - Wizard X220 - FPV - Duration: 11:37.

and then my sort of goes and then my vision sort of goes and then I fall down

Pain in your left arm?

Yeah that's fair enough, yeah that sounds good.

That's why I'm not a personal trainer.

I've killed so many people.

"Man killed by personal trainer action" Alright Matt, though, I do need to know.

What do you think is going to happen?

Today.

When I fly.

My drone.

Down a waterfall One of two things is going to happen.

One of two?

yup. you are going to get spectacular footage of a uh... really well executed dive off a

waterfall yup, mmhmm

or, you're going to get spectacular footage of you losing $600 worth of drone equipment.

Ohhh... yeah, probably.

Can it be both? if we can recover it.

Yeah!

Did you bring board shorts?

I brought board shorts and you're wearing your flood pants?

Oh no you're going to switch to board shorts Well I have got flood pants on but depending

on the depth of the water.

Yeah are you good at diving?

I'm not Diving?

Diving Like into a pool?

No, as in like, you're in water Oh like diving down!

Say there's a drone or a miniquad perhaps in the silt at the bottom of a waterfall uhhhh

that's deeper than what your feet can reach.

Coz I'm not good at it Well

I tend to tip over and then I push as hard as I can and I'm at the same depth as like

my feet will still be sticking out of the water

Your arms are just going I'm frog kicking but my legs are in the air

I'm really buoyant when I'm upside down for some reason

Nice selfie stick It's not very funy

Nup Ok

Lets go No I'm using it

I'll cut Cut here

I'm gonna fly down here Then across here

And then down there And I'm not gonna crash

Ooho man uh yeah, haha, sick

haha that's pretty steep

I mean I've done safer things before to be honest

oh we'll just climb up... back up that way It's alright, I've got an escape route planned

you want to know my favourite bit?

Yeah

Like, we're out of breath, hot and sweaty; krispy creme box, there

yeah, beautiful

Just eating a couple dougnuts on our way down

Ugh, I feel like we've been walking for days

Oh, that trail looks like it goes somewhere

Yeah

Maybe that would be easier

maybe

(Heavy breathing)

okay

Back down.

Oh look, we're up at the same height as when we started

It appears we're stuck

Dead speed controller

water.

Bummer

Saved it

So it was a bit hot

And we were very thirsty

And now we have many drinks.

Beverages.

Cool refreshing beverages.

Take water when Australian summer bushwalking.

So I killed two ESC's

So the moral of the story is, if you're flying anywhere near water use silicone conformal

coating, which I'm gonna do next time

How to Land a Helicopter on Water in GTA Online - Duration: 5:20.

hey there this is HoestOnline with another

GTA online video i was gonna make a

second part of my Buzzard instructions on

how to fly a Buzzard attack chopper and

then this happened

and also I discovered something really

cool which I'm going to share with you

today

ok so in today's GTA online video

we're gonna float helicopters, we're going

to land them on water and we're going to

try and test it and see what works and

what doesn't work because it does work

as you will see here i gotta give some

props for this to my friends sib and

froggman who have let me known that this

was possible and I never even knew but

they thought it was just for the

helicopter on your yacht but that invited

me to start testing it and how that

worked out?

you'll find out in today's video so keep

watching

so on that last bit we were doing a

piracy prevention and I was an associate

I'm a CEO now I'm on my own GTA online

yacht taking my own helicopter which is

the same make-and-model this is a

Buckingham SuperVolito and with no VIP

work or any activity going on i'm going

to try the same thing and see if my

helicopter will float on water as well

and look at that it does but just as

before i'm close to my yacht which makes

me wonder what happens if I'm not close

to my yacht and that's what you'll see

next

ok so i'm taking my helicopter the one

from my yacht and i'm flying it away from

it and I'm trying to float on water

anywhere else basically so I'm not in

the vicinity of my yacht anymore

look at this beaut..... this game is really

beautiful GTA online it's a couple years

old but it's beautiful right I'm trying

to land this helicopter here on the

water see what happens

still floats still floats my helicopter

can land on water in GTA online

so taking the helicopter to LSIA or

the airport see what happens next will

float

no it won't mystery solved

not yet i want to know more about this

stay tuned

ok we had some more testing to do this

is a buzzard attack chopper i called it

in via Pegasus right behind my own

private yacht and it floats as you can

see not touching anything and it floats

but as soon as you pull the left trigger

which normally let you descend you sink

see that? so it floats but don't try to

descend you'll sink okay now my theory

is you can float a buzzard maybe other

helicopters, SuperVolito obviously

basically the lighter helicopter will

float

that's my idea look you can even turn

them around while floating, see that it works

and i'm not near my yacht so clearing the

light helicopter statement up this is a

cargobob which is the transport

helicopter in GTA online much used for

stealing cars and stuff but obviously

this is a heavy helicopter and trying to

land this gently onto the water look it

floats

it's not me i didn't slam it into the

water i tried to land it gently like i

did with the Buzzard and the SuperVolito

for the cargobob it doesn't work

cargobob is too heavy or at least that's

my theory and that's why it won't float

so to wrap it up I'm flying this Buzzard

out to the open sea as you can see on

the mini-map I'm past the shallow waters

this is just the open ocean as far as

GTA online concerns and it works here as

well and I think that was for this was

pretty cool i never knew this

maybe you did I didn't anyway so if you

didn't notice already give it a try with

your own helicopter and let me know how

it goes with which helicopter and on

what what place what general area

anyways I'm gonna wrap this video up for

today thank you so much for watching I

hope you've got you've learned something

up this is a is new to you as it is to

me that subscribe to the channel for

daily GTA online content and i'll see

you guys next time

Serenity Recovery | Graduate Review | Johnny - Duration: 2:27.

My name is Johnny, I came here because I was on lots and lots of Xanax, shooting up Oxy's

everyday, shooting up heroin, pretty much anything I could get my hands on.

I wasn't doing anything productive, like I told my job that I was going to take a leave

of absents and I just laid on the couch everyday and pretty much did drugs all day.

I constantly isolated myself, wouldn't leave house and do anything, wouldn't answer my

phone, I wouldn't call people like my grandmother, mother, father avoided conversations with

them.

I totaled like 6 cars, I blew through tens of thousands of dollars, just made everyone

around me miserable, broken friendships that like I've always had in my life.

Basically I just - I was pushing everyone in my family away, my life was just completely

not where I wanted it to be.

My mom came to me crying begging me to go to rehab and I didn't like the idea of it,

I was ashamed I thought rehab would not be anything like this and its totally different than what

I expected.

Yeah, I have to leave but I am going to miss everyone here, all the facilitators - I just

had so much fun.

There was always something to do and I've made some of the best friends, ever!

Friends here are better friends than people that I have been friends with since I was

5 and 6 years old. So -

and the counselors here, everyone, you can tell they really care about you, like you

build relationships with them and I've done like a total change in my life here.

I've got back to the person I once was from my family - the person that my family loved,

the person that my friends love and they miss and I am back to that person so I'm really

excited to get back into the real world and show everyone who I am now.

BT Daily: The Hero Fallacy - Duration: 0:54.

[Gary Petty] We just finished producing a Beyond Today program called, "Lord, Help

Me Believe".

And we talk about some of the things that keep us from having real faith in God.

And one of the points that we talk about is the "hero fallacy".

Here's where we look at the great men and women of the Bible, and we say, "Well, yeah,

they had faith, but we can't be like them.

I mean, somehow they're different than us," – not realizing that the stories are there

to really be studied to realize they're just like us.

They had doubts, they had problems, they struggled, but in their weaknesses, we see God's greatness.

So next time you think, "I don't know, I wish I could be like the people in the Bible

but they're different than me," just remember the hero fallacy.

Remember that in your weakness, we can see God's greatness, if you just trust in Him.

BILL NYE PRESENTS RAYTON SOLAR - Duration: 3:30.

- We can convert sunlight into electricity

with a couple of thin silicon wafers in a sandwich,

(laughs) a very thin one.

For decades, to get a thin piece of pure silicon

we had to saw it off a thick piece of pure silicon.

The saw turns a lot of that silicon into dust.

This process is fine for making integrated circuit chips

for computers or smartphones

because the amount of silicon used is so small.

But for manufacturing big solar panels

out in the wide open spaces,

it costs a lot to waste a lot of pure silicon.

The gang at Rayton Solar has come up with a way

to chip off an extraordinarily thin piece of pure silicon

not with a saw but with a subatomic particle accelerator,

an atom smasher.

Well, it doesn't smash atoms as such;

it smashes protons into the atoms of a chunk of silicon.

Technicians can control the depth

to which these particles penetrate with precision

so they can place the particles perfectly.

Once the particles are perfectly in place,

Rayton gives them a nudge,

using a little bit of heat of just the right magnitude,

and a perfect super-thin slice of pure silicon is set free.

A little bit of pure silicon goes a long way,

so Rayton can use the very purest silicon,

which makes for a much more efficient conversion

of light into electricity.

Rayton then makes the silicon slices

into solar panels in the conventional fashion:

a smidgen of phosphorous

and a dash of boron,

and there we go,

a perfect panel with 90% less pure silicon

than the good old days,

which are actually right now

and they're really not that good.

With its patented technology,

Rayton Solar is capable of making 100 times

as many solar panels with the same amount of silicon

as its competitors use to make just one panel.

Rayton's technology can produce electricity that's clean

and cheaper than electricity produced

with greenhouse-gas-emitting fossil fuels.

It's new.

It does more with less.

It's less expensive and much more efficient.

In the coming years, the sun will be

a mainstay of the world's energy.

With Rayton Solar's technology,

solar power can be far less expensive than combustible fuel.

Once panels are in place, the clean energy is free!

For decades.

We're at the beginning of a new age,

a future powered by clean renewable energy.

The International Energy Agency predicts

that solar energy will be the world's largest source

of electricity by 2050.

Right now it's less than 1%.

We stand on the cusp of a new era

in which the paradigm for energy is changing.

The last similar moment in history was over 100 years ago

when oil became the new main energy source, replacing coal.

An opportunity to back a disruptive solar technology

represents a path to enabling change to a renewable future

and an investment with very bright economic prospects.

Join us as we begin the solar age.

We All Have Racial Bias - Duration: 3:26.

All right, so in my experience,

"racist" is one of the most triggering words for white people.

But

let me explain using science.

Short answer:

No.

Long answer:

Yes, of course.

A racist is defined as

someone who feels discrimination

or prejudice to people of a different race,

or feels that one race is superior to another.

You're probably already like,

"Oh my god! But that's not me!"

Hold the fuck on.

I'm not done.

There's, like, three minutes left in this video.

Chill!

A lot of people are probably focused on

the latter part of that definition.

Perceived racial superiority.

But this behavioral neuroscientist is focused on the word "prejudice."

That word is the centerpiece by which the rest of this definition can exist.

Fun fact:

Humans do have a tendency to create in-groups

and out-groups,

but they aren't born with prejudice.

That's something that we learn.

It's a product of nurture, not nature.

What that means is that we learn it from the people we're around,

the people that we're raised by,

also known as social contact.

Social contact with different people

has been proven scientifically

to improve cognitive development

and cultural understanding overall.

Inside prejudice is bias

or the inclination to have certain opinions

based on your personal experiences.

Whether you think that Drake and J-Lo go well together,

or that the 1996 motion picture Space Jam

is the best movie of all time.

It is.

If you gonna at me, combat me.

We all have biases,

and those biases align themselves to positive and negative emotions.

Like, "Wow, I love this"

or

"I hate this."

These opinions are based on a multitude of things.

For instance: the media, stereotypes

and being around people from different walks of life.

I'll say that again for those of y'all in the back.

We all have racial biases!

So is having racial bias

the exact same thing as being racist?

In my opinion?

Nah.

Racism is a spectrum, not a binary where you can either be

a racist or an angel.

Take it from Obi Wan.

Only a Sith deals in absolutes.

To all who've supported me so far,

I apologize

for losing your trust in using a Star Wars prequel reference.

I'll do better from here on out.

But he did have a point.

Need proof?

Let's go take a test.

The Implicit Association Test, or IAT,

was a test developed by Harvard researchers

to examine correlations between certain attributes

like good, bad, fun, evil

and targets, like black, white, gay or straight

When I took the test,

I showed less racial bias toward any one group.

Probably because I had a very diverse upbringing

with friends and family from all walks of life.

That puts me a little bit lower on our racism spectrum.

My man.

I did have a little bit of racial bias

favoring people of African descent.

Which makes sense 'cause I was raised by people of African descent

and spent the most time with them.

My man.

So yes, it's possible to have racial biases

no matter how woke you are

or how much you love The Wire.

Racial biases can happen both ways.

So, the IAT isn't the end all, be all

of whether you're racist or not.

But if you're like,

"Man, according to this test, I might be a racist,"

start by diversifying your friend group.

Pick up a history book.

Talk to folks who aren't like you.

It's never too late to unlearn prejudice.

But you have to acknowledge that it exists first, fam.

And watch Space Jam.

It's mad good.

Watercolor Tutorial How to Paint a Sunset Sky Using a Variegated Wash - Duration: 5:01.

Hi I'm Sandy Holtzman and I've been a professional artist for the past 30 years.

In today's watercolor tutorial I'm going to show you how to create a beautiful sunset

sky.

In this lesson we're going to create a sunset sky with clouds that recede into the background,

using what I call a variegated wash.

A variegated wash is a combination of different colors in the sky.

So what I'm going to start with is the ground or the ocean in the foreground so I'm just

going to paint in my ocean quickly here along my horizon line.

It can be an ocean or a landscape, in this case we're out to sea.

Here's my ocean.

And now I'm going to create my variegated wash that will define my sunset sky.

I'm going to start by mixing my blue, so I'm going to mix my ultramarine blue here

and I'm going to mix a nice puddle of that.

I don't want to make it too dark but if you look at a sky, the sky gets darker towards

the top.

So I'm going to make my blue the darkest of my colors and I'm going to lay it down

here, this is working fast because I want the colors in my sky to run together.

So, I'm making my blue of the sky and now I'm going to mix up some of my yellow and

I'm going to have lots of water in this and I'm going to sort of lay this down in

the middle.

But really what I want is for this yellow to be integrated up into the blue sky, I want

this to run together.

I want these colors to run together.

And now I'm going to mix together my pink at the bottom.

Again, having these colors blend seamlessly together.

Pink is the color closest to the horizon here.

This is called a variegated wash and is a nice, quick solution for a sunset sky.

Especially if you're painting on location.

So what you want to do is let this dry completely.

In this painting, I've let my sky dry completely and now we're going to put in our clouds.

And you might notice in a landscape that our clouds are much larger as they come, they

are larger here, then they sort of recede backwards.

So I'm just going to draw out some various clouds.

They get smaller as they go towards the horizon.

And I'm just going to paint in those clouds in my sky.

Not taking too much time, just to illustrate what this looks like.

My clouds again are larger as they come forward and they are also more

intense in color as they come forward and then as they recede they become less intense

in color and they become smaller and lighter.

You can actually illustrate the clouds farthest away with the very tip of your brush, they

are much smaller.

So you can see how these clouds recede off into the horizon and that's a quick sunset

sky.

So that's how to create a quick and easy sunset sky.

This technique is particularly valuable when you're painting on location.

JiJ - Journal #5 – SOL Spa - Duration: 4:53.

SOL Spa

Hi everyone and welcome to the new episode of my journal.

Today is Wednesday, the 1st of February and my portfolio's value is approximately at

10 000 euros.

So that's it.

I have done my first investment today.

After a careful analysis, I have invested 3,340 euros in SOL Spa, the small Italian

industrial gas producer I mentioned to you last time.

I bought 400 shares at the price of 8.35 euros.

The industrial gas industry is capital intensive but very safe as it is highly concentrated

and as a large part of its business is done under long-term take-or-pay contracts.

The industrial gas demand is growing a bit faster than GDP but its growth is very strong

in Healthcare.

Indeed, the industrial gas producers, who are the traditional provider of oxygen for

respiratory therapy, are expanding with success in the fast growing home care markets.

SOL Spa is a small and local player compare to the global giant such as Air Liquide, Linde,

Praxair and Air Products.

The Italian producer is also slightly less profitable than them but is growing at faster

pace.

First, SOL is expending rapidly in Europe and East-Europe, as its clients are happy

to work an alternative new supplier.

Second, SOL has strong position in Healthcare.

Whereas its competitors are doing less that 20% of their sales in Healthcare, the company

is already realizing 50% of its revenue there.

Company's revenues are growing at a relatively fast past year after year, but SOL has suffered

of declining EBITDA margins from 2010 to 2015.

Several explanation has been given but the main one, in my opinion, is the company has

invested a lot to expand.

Those investments are starting to pay-off and the EBITDA margin of the group is expected

to increase again in 2016.

I am anticipating personally further improvement in 2017 and 2018.

Beyond the quality and the prospect of the company, it is its valuation level that is

attractive.

Based on my estimates, the EV/EBITDA 2017 of SOL is at 5.8x when industrial gas industry

multiples are around 10x.

This discount is due to the company size, and its nationality.

It is also probably due to the fact that the founding family owns and operates the company

and does not seem to care much about the share price.

Yet, it is largely unjustified and assuming the discount would reduce to 20%, SOL share

price would increase by 50% to 12.5 euros.

That's is for today.

If you want to exchange with me on this subject, you can leave a comment.

If you want to follow my journey and do not want to miss one episode, subscribe to my

channel of my blog.

Thank you very much and see you soon.

Watch Out These 3 Things When You Shoot a Gun In Space - Duration: 4:22.

Watch Out These 3 Things When You Shoot a Gun In Space

While you can't lit a fire in space because there's simply no oxygen to ignite the fire,

but you can still shoot a gun.

That is quite something that a modern ammunition actually contains its own oxidizer, it can

triggers the explosion of gunpowder and fire of a bullet.

So wherever you are in the universe, you don't need atmospheric oxygen to fire a gun.

However, it does has slightly different result between shooting a gun on Earth and in space,

for instance shooting a gun on Earth will resulting a smoke trail, while in space it

would be an expanding sphere of smoke from the tip of the barrel.

This is just like the explanation why flames are spheres on space, well you have to watch

our video about 5 ways you can mess up in outer space too.

Well, this is 3 things you need to watch out when shooting a gun in space.

1.

Shooting The Stars

When you are happen to bring your gun on your space vacation, you either spend years trying

to figure out how long you can travel to another galaxy, or you just shoot them with your gun.

When you did shot a gun, according to Newton's third law logic, you will start moving backward

as the force exerted the bullet will impart equally on the opposite site.

However, if the bullet speed is 1,000 meters per second, the impact on you maybe just a

few centimeters per second as you're more massive than a bullet.

And the interesting thing here, only one shot then the bullet will keep going literally

forever.

Yeah the bullet will never stop in space, this is simply caused by the universe is expanding

faster than the bullet can catch up with any serious amount of mass to slow it down or

even to stop it, said Matija Cuk, an astronomer with joint appointments at Harvard University

and the SETI Institute.

So literally you are shooting the stars.

2.

Shooting The Jupiter

Actually, guns included in standard survival pack for Russian cosmonauts, maybe you think

it's not neccessary.

But hold on guys, it has more explanation than that.

Recently, it wasn't only a gun.

According to space historian James Oberg, right now it is called deluxe all-in-one weapon

pack with three barrels and a folding stock that doubles as a shovel and contains a swing-out

machete.

The space guns are being intended in cases where the cosmonauts need one back on Earth,

so that they can protect themselves if emergency landing of their Soyuz spacecraft has left

them deserted in a treacherous region.

So, what if during a spacewalk cosmonauts to fire a gun on Jupiter?

Well, Jupiter is most likely to suck the bullet even if it is badly aimed due to its enormous

gravitational field.

Then if you fire a gun straight toward Jupiter, its gravity will accelerate the ammo to the

speed of almost 60 kilometers per second by the time it crosses the gas giant's threshold.

So if you have a chance to visit Jupiter, you can try for once and prove this theory

is right.

3.

Shooting Your Back

Be careful guys, theoretically you could shoot yourself in the back in space.

You've learn that objects orbiting planets are actually in a constant state of free fall

right, but in order to do this the setup has to be perfect.

You'd have to shoot horizontally at just the right altitude in order to make the bullet

to circle the planet and fall back to where it started, which means you.

Also, you have to calculate how much you'll get kicked backwards and how much your altitude

will change once you pull the trigger.

In short, the aim has to be perfect in order to make this trick works.

Well, it is classified as the hardest ways to kill yourself in space though.

It would be much more easier just by standing on a mountain on the moon.

Well, that is all to this video.

so, want to try shooting your gun in space?
