I'm trying to get paid

Hi friends it's DC and welcome to Cadella

in this week's video we are going to be

talking about some tips to help you rock

a career fair. But before we get to the

content if at any point during the video

you liked it then give it one of these

and if at any point you love this video

or find it helpful then please, please

subscribe. And when you subscribe you

will also be helping a great cause. I

will put the link to a video which

explains what I'm talking about in the

description or a little tag right up

there so click it, check it out. So career fairs

they are such a blessing when schools

bring them to you because that means

that you don't have to go anywhere and

that also means that you have a better

chance of landing a job. So I have some

tips that I have learned in my many

career fair experiences. Since I've been

in college for five years, I have been to

about 10 of them. I started going as a

freshman and that really helped me get

to this point so I can find a job and

land a job that I want and that I hopefully

will love.

Let's talk about the basic so this is

just one big tip number one. Have a firm

handshake, make eye contact,

smile it shows confidence, and put your

resume on a resume paper. Anything you

can do to make yourself stand out do it!

So my second tip is do a little bit of

research. Research to find out which

companies you want to talk to. A lot of

the times these career fairs are during

classes and you're not going to get to

talk to every single company. So make

sure that you know which ones you want

to hit. Now a lot of people tell you to

look up the company

and know something about them. Yes this is

important and some companies do really

want this, but I find that most companies

at least at college career fairs they

want to tell you about it and what you

can find on our website is not

necessarily what you are going to find

that their department is like or that

the position that they're hiring for is

like. So I like to kind of keep that

information out of my head that way my

brain isn't cluttered and I can focus on

what I need to tell them.

Tip number three before even going into

the career fair find a place for your

stuff. Usually I have an extra bag

because I changing in between classes to

put on my professional clothes and I

don't want to have all this luggage with

me. It looks cluttered, it looks

unprofessional so i always find some

safe place to put my stuff.

Tip number four is warm up with a

company that you are not intending to

get a job with. So this company will help

you get out all your jitters, it'll help you

get your tongue untied

so you can say the things that need to

be said in a audible manner.

Tip number five your presentation while

you're waiting in line to speak to a

recruiter or while you're walking around

the career fair is just as important as

if you are talking to the person. If I'm

standing in line

I'm not on my phone, don't ever take your

phone out during a career fair there's

literally no reason to. If I see a friend

I will wait with them, I will say hi, I'll

be cordial but I'm not gonna be like

"Becky, OH MY GOD I haven't seen you in forever!" Becky can wait. If she's a real friend

Becky can wait. Make sure that you are

standing up straight, you have a pleasant

look on your face, you're not just like

because it's very very important.

Sometimes recruiters will look at you

while you're in line and I take that

opportunity to make my first eye contact

with them. If I see they're looking

around I will make sure that I glance

over and I give a nice smile. Let them

know that

"yes I'm here patiently waiting to talk

to you and boy when I got something

awesome in store for you!"

Tip number six

it is slightly controversial. A lot of

you have heard of the elevator pitch and

if you haven't it's pretty much where

you start off with your basics of what

your name is and what your major is and

then you go to a project you worked on

then you go up to an internship you have worked on

and then you go up to the best thing on your resume.

Honestly, if I was recruiter I'm not

gonna remember that stuff and I don't

really care because what I care about is

your personality and what you're going

to do for the company.

The interview will take care of all that

nitty-gritty stuff that is in your

interview and all that technical stuff

for all that experience that's what they

want to see. But as a recruiter I just want

to see are you really gonna be a good

fit even get an interview. I say screw

the elevator pitch.

I walk up "Hi my name is DC, I'm a

Mechanical Engineering student with a

minor in Math, my emphasis is Design and

Manufacturing and I'm graduating in June."

All the information that they need to

know your name, your major, your minor if

you have one, your emphasis if you have

one and when you're graduating. And when

you're graduating is the most important

one because that lets them know when

they can start calling you to start

hiring you.

Tip number 7 be honest I know we're all

trying to find jobs, I know we're all

trying to get out of debt, but what is

most important is that you go to a

company and your honest with what you want.

If you don't want to work in that area then

you probably are just wasting their time.

Also be honest about the things you

don't know. I had a company that

they asked me about some Material

Science things. Well, I knew it was Material

Science and I knew I didn't know it so I

just told them "you know I, no I've

never heard of that before" and yes maybe

this looks bad and they're looking for

someone who knows that but now I know

that that is not a position for me

because it's going to deal more of

Material Science and that's not my

expertise, but they might also say. "Okay

good we now we know she doesn't know

that so she's someone who can learn

about this subject.

Sometimes all they're looking for is someone who

can learn and they don't expect you to

have all the answers so if you don't

have answers

be honest with them. Tip number eight

they're gonna ask you stuff about your

resume so know what's on it.

Know what's going on. I had a project on my

resume

that was from two years ago. Well it was

with a subject that I wasn't really all

that comfortable with at the time which

meant I'm not really all that

comfortable with it now because I

haven't done anything else with it.

I took it off because I knew that that I

couldn't add anything to that project.

Tip number nine when you're leaving the

conversation with the recruiter make

sure you always ask a question. The

questions that I usually like to ask are,

"So how did you get into the company?"

"How did you get into engineering (or

whatever field you're looking for)?"

"How did you get into this position?" And

that lets me know that what my path

might look like if I do end up working

for that company.

The second question I really like to ask

is "What is your favorite part about

working for this company?" And if they say

something that I like, I know that this

is a company I would enjoy working for.

So make sure you ask questions that are

going to answer the things that you

really want to know.

And tip number 10 is to know that they

need you as much as you need them.

Yes these companies are going to be at

other career fairs but these companies

wouldn't exist if they didn't have

employees so have confidence in the fact

that they need you to. So thank you guys

so much for watching. If you liked this

video then please give it a thumbs up

and if you loved this video and found

these tips helpful then please subscribe.

And if you have any other tips then let

me know what they are in the comments

below.

I'm going to be doing some other videos

related to this focusing on your resume,

how a dress, and just how to get that

next job and do well in that interview.

But until we find that perfect job my

friends, make sure that you stay while

child!

Good Pitching Mechanics Require Good Balance - Duration: 5:25.

Do you know the importance of balance

during the pitching mechanics stay tuned

that'ts what we're talking about today

hello welcome to baseball player

university i'm Jeff Forney your founder and

host baseball player university we're

talking about pitchers balance it's very

important it helps us to keep our arm

up and our shoulder as well as puts us

in a fielding position after we released

the ball. Fifteen year major league veteran

Dave Barba is talking about that

let's go join him

Alright we're going to work on mechanics today

that is our pitching mechanics i'm going

to show you a short demonstration

Chris is going to go through the actual

throwing mechanics portion of it and when

we finish up i'm going to show you some

drills that you can teach your kids at

home or something that you as a dad and

son can work together as far as working

on your pitching mechanics. First of all

we want to be balanced

alright most of us stand with shoulder

feet shoulder-width apart we're pretty

balanced we're pretty comfortable as a

pitcher we want to be the same way we

want to be loose and free

ok now we're looking in we get our sign

everything should be relaxed we come up

and we come set we still should be

relaxed there still should be no tension

the first thing is we want to lift

our leg and we want to be able to be

balanced we want to be able to hold this

position right here this would be step

one notice my legs kind of tucked in a

little bit it's not straight out

it's tucked in a little bit okay there's

a little tuck right there

notice it's at least 90 degrees or

higher now that's step one step two is I

want to sit on my back leg before I

throw okay so step one is up

step two is sit and why we're sitting we

take our hands we start our hand motion

so as I'm sitting I start my hand motion

and I should end up in this position

alright how do we how do we check our

position we turn around be able to see

the back of our hand my arm is up I'm i

have my front shoulder up arm up

or you can have the glove extended

whatever way you feel more comfortable

you can have the glove extended out here

or you can use the point elbow now when

I go to throw i took this glove into my

armpit and left chest region so I want

to pull right here so when I pull and

catapults my arm forward and I get full

extension so i end up throwing the ball

way out here. Chris is going to go

through the mechanics here and do a few

demonstrations for you.

That's good good everything was

great to see as he came up he had his

head is this portion of his leg was

slightly tucked in as he went to throw

he broke down bent the back leg and his

hands and arms separated just in time

when he landed he was right in this

position and this is called the power

position to deliver the baseball because

it good now that you see did you see how

Chris when his arm shot out a catapulted

it all the way out okay

he threw the but he started right here

by the time he ended up his arm was

probably clear out here that's a good

five six feet if you think about that as

a pitcher 60 feet 6 inches now you're

throwing the ball 55 feet 56 feet that's

taking a lot of the distance off that's

excellent Chris can you show us one more

time

ok one he lifts up he's got a good

balance two events 3 now look at the

power position look at the arm extension

that's excellent glove is tucked into

the armpit now when he finishes when he

finishes throw it should come up and end

up in this position in a in a fielding

position just like this because after we

throw a baseball as a pitcher we become

a fielder and we want to be able to field

the ball so if I feel like finish like

this i can go left I go right I'm go

forward

I can go backwards whatever way I have

to go i'm in good position to do that

now here's the drill you can work at

home with your kids or as a coach with

your little league team first step is we

want to be balanced

step one is we lift our glove and Ernie

in a good strong balanced position to as

we sit and as we sit we separate our

arms three as we land and we should be

in this position four is going to be the

checkpoint my arm is up and my other arm

is up i'm in a power position to throw

the baseball

I hope this helps you guys out and next

time we'll talk about more about

pitching maybe about the grip or maybe

even some conditioning

Original Character Design · 30 Ways to Fill a Sketchbook - Duration: 4:02.

Hi my loves welcome back.

Today's sketchbook session starts with a little bit of brainstorming on some scrap

printer paper, I'm just laying out some really basic simple shapes to get an idea

of the build of my character.

Character design is not something I have remotely any experience with, I do the odd original

characters in my sketches and paintings and things, but never anything extensive, and

I actually realised I don't make up bodies a lot, as in I usually end up using references

for drawing bodies and tend to go for more realistic proportions.

So anyway I really quickly sketched out some ideas, I really didn't have anything in

mind beforehand so they're all different builds and ages and all that and then I narrowed

it down to a couple of bodies that I liked the look of and drew a couple of quick faces,

still keeping it quite ambiguous and then finally I jotted down some notes about who

this person could be.

So once I was in my sketchbook, I carried on laying things in really lightly at first,

just mapping out the page so that there could be like a larger full body drawing, showing

the person in like a pose that is sort of typical to their personality, then a couple

of smaller full body sketches just to show them at different angles and a few heads to

practice some facial expressions.

So the first face I added real detail to was like a neutral one.

And then because I thought this character would be quite clumsy, I decided to do like

a shocked face that they would obviously have you know whenever they mess up and things

like that.

Um if you haven't noticed yet, my character is a young woman, she's wearing a hood,

I wanted her in like a baggy hoodie and skinny jeans, I just like the shape of that silhouette.

The last face expression was kind of a smirky smile, another face the I just thought she

would use a lot.

For the longest time drawing this I couldn't think of a name so I just decided to wait

till the end and see what name I thought would suit the finished character.

Alright so moving on to the body, this is the part I struggled with the most.

The smaller sketches turned out alright, they were just to get a basic idea of her shape

and proportions, but when it came to the larger sketch, I found that the more detail I added,

the less natural it felt.

It got a bit stiff.

And the position felt quite yeah, unnatural.

I think that's just down to lack of experience with this kind of thing, I definitely need

to spend more time drawing bodies, different body shapes, making up poses and things and

not just drawing from reference.

She's holding spray can cos I thought she could be like a graffiti artist, but like

always getting caught, always making mistakes or like having and causing funny accidents

with her clumsiness.

And I was originally gonna ink these sketches after I had pencilled them in but I've really

been loving the pencil look recently and I felt like I had dark enough lines that adding

ink wouldn't really make the biggest difference.

Umm so yeah after a few attempts at putting her face on that full body sketch I just wrote

in a few little notes about who she could be, still trying to come up with a name.

I spent a bit of time adding a few extra details just mulling it over and in the end I thought

she looked like an Amira.

So that's her name!

Anyway guys thanks for watching, I'm by no means the best at inventing original character

but I feel like this was a decent start and I hope you enjoyed it too.

See you soon for the next video!

Bye!

Don't waste this life - inquire into your nature ( אל תבזבז את חייך - חקור את טבעך ) - Duration: 7:57.

Life is a precious opportunity

There is no need to rush,

but at the same time

don't waste it.

Don't waste this miraculous opportunity.

Be open and become aware of the vision of existence within you.

Ask yourself deeply : why am I here?

What is the meaning my existence?

What is existence?

Who am I?

What am I truly?

Let the time necessary to reveal the truth behind those questions

be as long as it needs to be

But now is the time to raise those questions.

Don't postpone.

Raise those questions

deeply and sincerely.

Don't let fear

move you to hide from those questions and postpone.

Give this inquiry proper attention.

Allow this inquiry to open new doors for you and lead you.

No matter what you do, don't evade yourself.

don't evade life.

Life with all its challenges,

is an invitation

to embrace yourself

as a miracle,

wondrous and divine.

To acknowledge the infinite grace that you are.

That is what your life conceals.

Seek to come close to the mystery of your existence.

Don't hide behind the known.

Come closer to the unknown.

It is there,

In the deep silence of your existence,

in the timeless silence of your being,

that is nothing but pure consciousness-love,

that salvation and wholeness are.

It is there that there is light,

joy and happiness unbound and complete.

It is there that your freedom is revealed

and you rest in complete unity with all.

Don't run from yourself.

Don't run from the questions leading to your essence.

Don't be alarmed by the magnitude of those questions.

Follow that deep inquiry into your nature,

follow at your own pace,

yet with clarity and devotion.

There is no good or bad way,

there is no right or wrong way,

Each way is unique

and precise.

Everything manifests just as it should.

All is guided by divine wisdom and grace.

Mind will always doubt

and will try to create certainty

and will always fail in that attempt.

Because the bricks from which mind tried to build the house of certainty

are like sand:

crumbling with each coming wave.

There is no certainty in knowledge or matter.

Knowledge and matter are movements

appearing in consciousness.

Consciousness which is your nature.

As long as you lean on knowledge and matter

there is no way to transcend fear,

for deep within you know

that knowledge and matter are impermanent and are bound to change and dissolution.

Seek to build your temple in truth.

On the only stable ground.

On the only ground which is absolutely real.

Seek to acknowledge your essence,

seek to know what you truly are.

This is the time to inquire into your nature.

Being a human being

means being in a state in which this inquiry can happen

and can blossom fully.

Is there a greater miracle than that?

Is there a greater grace than this?

Cherish your life, cherish being in a human state,

Cherish this miraculous opportunity

to be unified wholly and completely

with the mystery and transcendence,

sacredness and divinity,

meaningfulness and love

pure and unbound.

Allow deep gratefulness for your very existence as human beings

and seek to fully acknowledge

your nature, your true self.

2004-2008 F-150 Carbon Fiber Tail Lights Review & Install - Duration: 4:16.

Hey guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com.

Today I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the Carbon Fiber Tail Lights

available for all '04 to '08 style side F-150's.

In this video, of course, we'll be going over the styling and appearance of the Carbon Fiber

Tail Lights, and on top of that we'll talk about the materials and construction, and

I'll top the video off with the install.

Which I'll let you know up front here gets a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty

meter because these are gonna be one of the easiest things you can do to your F-150 by

far.

The Carbon Fiber Tail Lights you see here will be for any '04 to '08 style side F-150

owner who's looking to completely change up the rear end look of their F-150.

Not only by picking up a new set of tail lights with the carbon fiber appearance, but also

with the Euro spec design, which you don't see too often here in the US.

Now right off the bat here, I definitely wanna say that the carbon fiber make up, especially

in tail lights, will not be for everybody.

Some guys out there might think this is a little over the top, a little tacky, but of

course, there's always gonna be the guys out there who might be seriously interested in

this.

Especially with the carbon fiber on top of the Euro spec design.

I'll be touching on both aspects of those tail lights.

Now the first thing I'm gonna talk about is the more noticeable thing, especially with

the title of the product here, the carbon fiber make up of the appearance.

Now what I wanna point out here is it's got a carbon fiber we've built into the tail light

design inside the back of the housing here.

Which is very evident when you're standing at the rear end of your F-150.

With that said, this is not a design that's typically used inside tail lights.

As a matter of fact, this is a first for me.

I've never exactly seen anything like this.

Now with that said, this is not going to be manufactured from real 100% carbon fiber.

This is simply just going to be a wrap job inside the materials of the housing.

That way you're just getting the appearance.

So don't expect any true weight reduction with these.

Now the second thing I want to tackle with these tail lights is gonna be the European

specification.

Now what I mean by that is the lights as you can see are completely redesigned.

A very unorthodox combination of lighting.

Now, this is made to the European spec, which believe it or not is still DOT approved, and

still operates under the US regulations.

Still gonna be street legal if you wanna pop this on your style side F-150.

Now with that said, you get your brake light up top.

You get your reverse light in the middle.

You still have all functionality of your day to day turn signals, hazard lights, reverse

lights, everything still operates normally, it's just a little bit of a different pattern.

And also includes the reflection light on the side here.

Now as far as materials and construction goes here, I wanna point out these are all made

from the OEM quality materials, so this will hold up for years as I would imagine.

It feels exactly like an OEM tail light does.

Now if you are one of the people who are interested in the carbon fiber make up with the Euro

spec design, and this is really something that you think you can picture on your own

style side F-150 from the '04 to '08 generation, expect to be spending just south of about

250 bucks.

In my opinion, not a terrible price here.

You're getting a completely redesigned tail light.

Something that's only seen over in European countries.

And of course, you get the very unique styling of the carbon fiber design.

Something like I said I've never seen before.

So this is something that's definitely gonna stand out.

If you're looking to be the unique one on the block, this is definitely the way to go.

I'm just gonna quickly run through the installation with you.

Again, one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.

The only tools you'll need are a simple ratchet and socket set, and maybe a flat head screwdriver

if you wanna pry off those factory ones, but you probably won't even need that.

You don't need any jack and jack stands.

This is something you can simply do in the driveway at home in I'd say about 15 to 20

minutes at tops.

All you'd have to do is drop that tailgate and use your ratchet and socket set, of course,

just to unbolt the factory tail light.

Once you get that unbolted, twist and turn your factory bulbs out of the housing, both

the break light and the reverse light.

You're gonna twist those into the carbon fiber housing keyer [SP] and bolt this up to your

body, and of course shut the tailgate when you're done after you repeat the process for

the opposite side.

I'd say about 15 to 20 minutes tops, and a one out of three wrenches on the difficulty

meter is an absolute definite.

Just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of an '04 to '08 style side F-150, and

you're looking to pick up one of the most unique tail lights I've ever seen with a carbon

fiber make up and a European spec design.

You might wanna check out the Carbon Fiber Tail Lights you see here, which are available

at americanmuscle.com.
