Men are Justified by their WORKS - Duration: 2:07.

I want to bring your attention to James chapter 2.

I encourage you to read the whole chapter but I am going to look at verse 24-26 it says;

"…you see then that a man is justified by WORKS and NOT by faith only, likewise was

not Rahab the harlot also justified by WORKS when she received the messengers and sent

them out another way.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is DEAD ALSO."

I know the money preachers up in the churches have been saying it is by "faith alone"

that we are saved, but Jesus Christ calls His disciples to the works of righteousness.

The churches of today do NOT have the works of righteousness in them.

They have the dead works of religion which include going to church, "doing worship",

which means playing a guitar up on a stage, they read their Bible as their act of worship,

but they refuse to keep the words of Jesus in their heart and on their hands.

If you do not have the works of righteousness you do NOT have good fruit and you are not

pleasing to God.

It is impossible to please the Living God without good works.

It is NOT by "faith alone" as Martin Luther and early church fathers said and taught.

It is by the words of JESUS.

We have to abide in Jesus and DO what He called us to do, and Jesus called us to WORK FOR

HIM and to OBEY HIM EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Are you following Jesus with the works of righteousness?

Or have you believed the easy grace gospel lie?

SKYRIM with beautiful COLOR - The ART! - Duration: 7:59.

Something always bothered me about the colors in Skyrim.

Not so much the landscapes.

The landscapes are *mwah* *mwah* *mwah* so good.

It's pretty much everything else.

Why is everything in the game so dark?

Why are there no bright accented colors anywhere to be seen?

And how can we fix this?

I've said this before.

The environments and the skybox in Skyrim can be bright and lively.

But when it comes to the people, the items and the architecture, everything is a little

dull.

Unsaturated.

There's even some weird contrast issues.

It's as if the gray levels are skewed heavily towards black, and the black levels are bumped

WAY up.

The game looks like it has a weird filter over everything.

Weather this was meant to be cinematic I'm not so sure.

When cinematic color grading is applied to movies it usually makes the image warmer or

cooler.

Color grading is not to be confused with color correction.

Color correction is the process of altering the color of a particular scene to give it

more life.

Color correction is increasingly more important with the rise of digital film.

High end digital cameras produce a flat image that allows for more leeway when color corrected,

making correction a necessity.

You are CORRECTING the color of the image.

Color GRADING is the process of altering the image to give it a stylized look.

Like a tint or a filter.

This could even be applied over the whole project, or multiple scenes.

Color GRADING isn't necessary, but it does look artsy sometimes and it does set the mood

for certain scenes.

But this isn't a movie.

This is SKYRIM.

This is a GAME.

Color correction isn't done in post, because theoretically every asset put into the game

should be perfectly colored to begin with.

Sure there are minor brightness and contrast adjustments you can do, but most of the color

correction is done with lighting effects.

This is why lighting is so important in video games.

Each area has to be lit perfectly so the color looks right no matter where you are.

In my opinion, this is not where things went wrong.

The outdoor lighting is astounding.

Some of the interiors need a little work, but that's not the end of the world.

Everything in Skyrim is dull and brown-ish gray.

Brown is literally the ugliest color I could think of.

It's the color of shit, and burnt garbage.

And I'm not crazy for thinking this.

In 2012 the Australian government funded a research project to find the ugliest color.

They wanted to place this color on tobacco products to discourage people from smoking.

This color is described as "death, dirty and tar."

This color is Pantone 448 C, a drab, dark, gray-ish brown, unfortunately the color of

a lot of things in Skyrim.

So this IS a turn off for people.

It wasn't always supposed to be this way.

The concept art shows some nice vibrant hues.

Typically, a lot of things change between the concept art and the finished product.

I almost always prefer the pure vision of the artist to the final working model, but

these things go through SO MANY iterations and get approved by SO MANY different people,

so things HAVE to change.

I respect that.

It's still fun to compare, I don't know, something like the bright red of the Noble clothes to

the unsaturated bleh-ness of the in game model.

Nothing in the game is THIS red.

The same could be said for the Imperial Armor.

It's highlighted with the same bright red.

The Skyrim artbook notes that "the color red was reserved for the Imperials so players

could clearly see the presence of the Empire in Skyrim."

This is an important distinction that ends up being waaaay more subtle in game.

This is a problem!

The glass armor is probably some of the brightest in the game.

This is due to the turquoise color being so unique in this world.

It catches the eye because it stands out, not because it's ACTUALLY bright.

Look at how bright the yellow is in the concept art.

The same could be said for the Elvish armor.

Remember in the last video how I said it was supposed to be a white gold?

And the Dwemer armor is supposed to look more bronze?

Well, all these yellow, gold, bronze colors end up looking like the same shade.

This is an effect of the weird brown tint of everything.

It's terrible for contrast, and bad for drawing distinctions between the armor sets.

Look at how green the Orc armor was supposed to be.

It's more like a yellow-green.

Instead we got this almost black, brownish green.

Ew.

And look at this.

The character's supposed to stand out from the background not blend in.

When everything's the same sort of brown-ish color it all blends together.

Is there any reason why white-gold should blend in with brown rock?

No!

Of course not.

Now, given all these examples you should be pretty convinced that the world of Skyrim

is looking mostly pretty grey, brown, and overall just very dull.

So, what can we do about this?

Given that everything is sort of brown and dull it'd be easy to point the finger at color

grading.

There must be a brown tint over everything, right?

But, when you take the textures out of the game environment, they STILL look dull.

There might be some minor tint from the lighting effects, but thats it.

Fortunately, this is still easily fixable WITH color grading.

Adjusting the levels and applying some heavy color saturation is enough to fix most of

these issues.

It's still not going to help you distinguish the different gold colors of all of the armor

sets.

That's messed up on a whole 'nother level.

But it helps in other cases, like the imperial red finally pops out.

And even though the environments were fine before, it makes them look even BETTER.

Look at how much more lush and vibrant this looks.

It's pretty remarkable what an oversight this color grading issue was.

It's such an easy fix!

If you want to do this yourself, there are a TON of color adjusting mods for Skyrim.

Here I'm using IMAGINATOR which summons a follower who serves as a menu screen for the

color adjustments.

There's even lighting adjustments too.

There are also mods to help fix the textures of the different armor sets, but those will

have to be done individually.

It's much easier to just change the saturation and call it a day.

And if you're on PS4 or Xbox One, unfortunately there's not much you can do because those

mods are garbage.

SO.

What do YOU GUYS think about the problems with Skyrims color?

Do you think that there's an issue or do you think that I'm crazy because EVERYTHING IN SYRIM IS GREAT!

IT'S THE BEST GAME EVER! DON'T SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT MY FAVORITE GAME!

Corporate Democrats Never Cared About Supreme Court - Duration: 4:10.

I'M SO TIRED OF THE DEMOCRATS.

>>THEY ARE SUPER WEAK.

THE MERRICK GARLAND THING WAS

RIDICULOUS.

WHY WEREN'T DEMOCRATS MORE AGGRESSIVE IN

FIGHTING THAT?

THEY WEREN'T, THEY JUST KIND OF CONCEDED.

I

GUESS WE AREN'T GOING TO CONFIRM THIS SUPREME COURT JUSTICE PICK,

AND BY THE WAY, THINK ABOUT THE RAMIFICATIONS OF THAT.

THINK

ABOUT WHAT DONALD TRUMP NOW HAS THE POWER TO DO, AND THE IMPACT

HE WILL HAVE ON THE AMERICAN PEOPLE NOT JUST DURING HIS

ADMINISTRATION OR DURING HIS TERM, BUT FOR DECADES TO COME.

THERE IS ONE POTENTIAL SUPREME COURT NOMINEE WHO IS LIKE 49

YEARS OLD, HOMEBOY WILL LIVE A LONG TIME.

>>AND THAT'S COMING LATER TODAY.

WE WERE TRYING TO GIVE DEMOCRATS

CREDIT, AT LEAST THEY DID SOMETHING --

>>ALTHOUGH IT FAILED.

>>BLESS THEIR HEARTS FOR BOYCOTTING, I GIVE THEM CREDIT

FOR THE BEGINNING.

TOOMEY THERE SAID WE CONFIRMED EIGHT OF

OBAMA'S NOMINEES EVEN BEFORE HE TOOK OFFICE.

THAT'S BECAUSE HE

SUBMITTED THEM AS SOON AS THE ELECTION WAS OVER BECAUSE HE HAD

ACTUALLY PREPARED, SO YOU GUYS HAD SEVERAL MONTHS TO ACTUALLY

DO REAL HEARINGS ON THEM.

TRUMP, ON PURPOSE, SUBMITTED THEM RIGHT

AS HE WAS GETTING INAUGURATED.

COME ON, DON'T DO REAL HEARINGS,

JUST CONFIRM THEM.

LISTEN, DICK, YOU HAD TWO MONTHS TO SUBMIT

THEM.

NOW THEY COME AROUND AND SAY WE WERE SO NICE TO THE

DEMOCRATS AFTER GRILLING AND GRILLING FOR TWO MONTHS, WE

CONFIRMED EIGHT OF THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE STUPID ENOUGH TO

SUBMIT THEM EARLY, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO A POLITICAL TRICK

AND SUBMIT THEM LATE AND SAY HOW DARE THEY NOT CONFIRM THE RIGHT

AWAY?

THIS IS RECORD-BREAKING AND DISMAYING.

AGAIN I'M TIRED

OF WASHINGTON WHERE REPUBLICANS CAN BE ASSHOLES DAY IN AND DAY

OUT AND IF DEMOCRATS FIGHT BACK A BIT, IF SOMEONE RAISES A TIM

KAINE EYEBROW LIKE, IS THAT ALLOWED?

WHEN THEY DID THE

MERRICK GARLAND OBSTRUCTION -- DEMOCRATS SUCK.

WHAT YOU SHOULD

HAVE DONE EVERY DAY IS DO WHAT THE REPUBLICANS JUST DID ON ONE

DAY, DISMAYED AND DISGUSTED.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE VOTED FOR BARACK

OBAMA, HE GETS FOUR YEARS, NOT THREE.

EITHER CONFIRM THAT GUY

OR STEP THE HELL DOWN.

EVERY ONE OF THESE GUYS, THEY HATE

DEMOCRACY.

THROW THEM OUT OF THEIR SEATS IF THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN DEMOCRACY.

>>LET'S KEEP IT REAL, WHAT IS THE MAIN REASON FOR WHY THEY

DIDN'T FIGHT AGGRESSIVELY TO ENSURE THAT MERRICK GARLAND GOT

CONFIRMED?

IT'S BECAUSE OF THE YEAR IT HAPPENED.

IT WAS ONE

YEAR PRIOR TO OBAMA ENDING HIS TERM, HIS SECOND TERM.

AND THESE

LAWMAKERS WERE WORRIED ABOUT REELECTION TOO.

THEY WERE

FOCUSED ON THAT, THEY DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE SUPREME COURT

JUSTICE.

THEY CARE ABOUT REELECTION.

>>THAT THE PROBLEM, THE CORPORATE DEMOCRATS NEVER CARE

ABOUT POLICY.

REPUBLICANS ACTUALLY WANT TO PUSH THEM ALL

THE WAY TO THE RIGHT ON POLICY BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY GET

PAID FOR, THEIR DONORS PAY THEM TO PUSH LEGISLATION ALL THE WAY

TO THE RIGHT AND DEMOCRATS GO, I DON'T GET PAID FOR THAT.

THE

DEMOCRATS SAY MY DONORS PAY ME TO PLAY PATTY CAKES WITH THESE

GUYS, SO WE WILL NEVER PUSH POLITICS TO THE LEFT.

JUSTICEDEMOCRATS.COM, TAKE 10 SECONDS TO SIGN UP.

ONE OF THESE

STORIES TODAY SAYS IT ALMOST SEEMS LIKE DEMOCRATIC VOTERS ARE

READY FOR LIKE A TEA PARTY OF THE LEFT.

NO, WE DON'T HAVE TO

BE IRRATIONAL, BUT ARE WE READY FOR A STRONG PROGRESSIVE WING?

FUCK YEAH.

LET'S GET A MILLION PEOPLE SIGNED UP AND HAVE THEM

GO, WHAT IS THIS?

A quick Questionnaire to give insights of me and my channel - Duration: 7:06.

Hello friends and welcome to my channel.

Through this video i'll be giving you a little insights of my journey so far,

I hope you like it and

for any queries please do post your comments below,

and don't forget to

So Guyz...Yesterday I was

contacted from an another travel blogger

from @Love2LiveTravel

by shauna, whose link you can see in the description

for a questionnaire

roundup and I was super excited as this

my first time and starting with the first question we have

1.The first destination I have traveled to?

If not looking my prior ????

travels

since childhood I am traveling to

'Nainital' which is just an hour from my place.

It is a great tourist spot and a very famous hill station

in India

Other than that, in my blogging journey

the first trip I made was to Jaipur during my graduation.

Second is

2. Why do you travel

Well I travel because it is something

that gives me happiness and it is

something that I love I don't like the

hustle bustle of the city life and just

to escape I go travelling.

3. The strangest food that I have ate before abroad?

Well I've never been abroad so far,

currently traveling within India and

within india during my trips the

strangest food that have eaten is the

'Vada Pao' which is quite different in

mumbai than the 'Vada Pao' in our city.

because the 'Vada Pao' they serve is

neither cooked, nothing, they just

put a Vada or a some sort of 'Aloo Tikki'

or 'Pakoda' If you've heard of inside a 'Pao' made

of bread and they just serve you cold.

4. Where have you spent most time abroad

and why?

Well as i said i haven't been abroad

so far and yes i would like to spend

most time in Vietnam or cambodia.

Coming over to next question

5. The favorite place I visited which is heritage ?

It's in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh

The Veerbhadra temple,

if you visit then you'll see the beautiful

architectural work done over there

built in 19th century without any use

technology building such an architecture

piece is something which attracts me.

Moreover, out of the 80 hang 80 pillars on

with the temple supported they have one

of the pillar hanging upside down which

is quite still a mystery.

Next is

5. The future adventures that I'm most excited for?

Well I'm always excited for the very

next moment the life is going to show me

but on my trip the most adventurous thing i

have planned to do so far is to go on

the road trips, especially with my friends.

The road trips which are

beautiful yet thrillig like the 'Ladakh' road

trip in India or the 'Spiti Valley'

circuit in India.

6. What grabbed your attention to the travel bug?

Well, travel bug within me was out of sudden

since childhood it was out I guess

10th standard, when i started enjoying the

travel plans and always in search of

opportunities to travel.

I always insisted everyone to go out and have some trips.

During my graduation I

planned some trips with my friends for my friends

because there was something like

just hang out in the local cities but

never being outside so I insisted them

and took our trips which they obviously

loved and thanked me for.

7. Which location is on top of your bucket list?

Well, I'm not sort of planned traveler, I

just head out and decide where I'm going

but yes you few cities that I have to

visit is Ireland, Cuba, Croatia and Vietnam.

8.Do you prefer to travel solo or with a partner?

I prefer traveling both ways.

Even solo or even with a partner

but yes if someone's there with me to

travel, I will definitely force him or

somehow plea him not plea, somehow

ask him to come along with me not

because I need someone but because i

want the other person to experience

you're traveling is and how much they

learn while travel.

Ok guys so we've reached the last question of the questionnaire

which is

10. Why have you started blogging?

Well i started blogging

because i want to note down each and

every fact which I faced while I travel

so that I can show it to my future

generation or not future generation

mainly to my readers and viewers what

traveling actually is and not showing

only the good part of it also the bad

parts of it and

how to tackle with them.

What I read in blog

was that people are only sharing about

the good experiences they've been through

but not the backstage what they have faced

but that's something i didn't found

very much and started blogging to show

what actually i am facing and how can you

tackel with them and make your trips awesome.

Guyz, thats the end of the

questionnaire and i hope you liked it

After Watching This You Will Never Throw Away Eggshells - Duration: 1:37.

Many people know that eggs are highly nutritious, full of protein, calcium and essential minerals.

This is why millions of people eat eggs each day.

However, what about their shells?

Believe it or not, egg shells are the best natural source of calcium that the body absorbs

the easiest.

The calcium is the exact same as the calcium found in human bones and teeth.

Calcium is also essential for the proper function of your muscles and nerves.

The human body has no issue absorbing the powder made by crushed eggshells, per a study

done by the US National Institute of Health.

The eggshells also help to reduce cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as making bones

strong.

One half of a tablespoon of eggshell powder gives your body 90% of the daily recommended

amount of calcium, approximately 1000 to 1500mg.

To make the eggshell powder, just follow this simple recipe:

First, you need to boil your eggs for 10 minutes.

This will help you get rid of any detrimental bacteria.

Then, you need to cool them.

Crush their shells so that you get a powder.

Make sure you keep the powder in a sterilized glass jar.

This powder can be used as a calcium supplement, or an addition to your smoothies and cereals.

If you like the video, give it a thumbs up and share it with your friends!

Painting for you #4 - Duration: 11:05.

Na, na na, I don't think so mate

but yeah, that was exactly what I told him, but he wouldn't listen

what?

what are you pointing at?

oh!

Hello friends, my name is Arith Härger, and today!...

*psycho*

I'm going to paint for you

alright, now begone!

well, today I'm not going to paint on canvas

I'm going to do a quick piece of art

which will take me about half an hour

soooo....

it's more like practicing

so if you want to join me and practice at the same time and create this...

piece of art, with me

you are going to need a piece of paper

but not just any paper

that...

kind of paper you use for acrylics

and

watercolour, of course

a thicker paper

(incomprehensible weird voice)

*shait*

you will need acrylics

mostly blue and whites, of course

and white pens

which you can find in any stationery store

because nobody uses them :P

now...

85% of this -

what the bloody hell?!?!

right friends...(ah) this is Gordon

Gordon, say hi!

...

puff...

so rude

well, as I was saying

85 to 90% of this work

will be made with acrylics

the other 15 or 10% will be made with...

aahhh...

white pens

and probably dry pastels which I forgot where they are

damn it

alright, here they are - dry soft pastels

and you are probably going to need this little fellow

a sponge

this is what we are going to create today

and I which my past-self could see this

so I could tell him not to lose his bloody mind

It didn't turned out that bad

alright, lets get started

we haven't even started yet, and I've already broken one of my...

most

expensive

brushes

*giggles*

that's a good start

alright

the line of the horizon right here

we are going to create a lot of sky

look at this sad little thing

now, quick horizontal brush strokes

lets cover all of this painting...

in blue

so we can have a base colour

in the background

to create the rest

alright!

let it dry a bit

*vruuuUUUUuuueee*

(head dryer muffled by bright music)

right

now lets go... to a lighter colour on the horizon

it's always the same

it's easier to go from black, or dark blue

all the way down to lighter colours

yeah, like this

just let it blend with the background

and since I'm going to create the moon in here, in the centre

this will be a lighter colour in here

so you just have to add...

a little bit more white

alright, nicely blend

until you can no longer see the markings of the brush

now, the moon will be somewhere here in the centre

and since the light of the moon spreads in circles

you can always try to paint

like this

instead of

horizontal brush strokes

you can always go in circles or in a spiral

from the centre to the top; from the lighter colours to the darker colours

but this is supposed to be

a very easy painting

and just practicing

so I will leave it like this

now lets go for the - the ground

not a lot of detail

because that's not the important thing in here

but always remember, since the moon will be somewhere around here

you will want lighter colours in the centre

and darker colours in the corner

alright

like this

it goes like this, you see? Gently...

blending with the dark

you can do a reverse arch

for the darker colours

and then in the centre horizontal strokes

of lighter colour

okay, right...

you see it?

more or less like this

okay, make sure this thing has dried

and

grab a coin

to make your moon

you can go for a full moon

or just a quarter moon

or whatever

alright

right here

yeah

now just paint it, within the lines

now I'm just going for a few clouds in here

greys

just...

going like this in circles

but just go gentle on it, don't press it

like this in circles

but... really, really gentle...

just be gentle with your clouds

and continue going in circles

and when you are done

softly tap

for the paint to blend

alright

more or less like this

and going with the clouds all around

alright, the moon looks a little bit sad

so lets go for the dry pastels

soft dry pastels

don't put it directly on your work

or it will leave a mark impossible to blend

so make sure your finger is dry

and... put just a little bit on your finger

and then you will work from there

and make sure the moon is dry, of course

now, when you have the glow that you wished for

now, you just have to paint the moon again because it looks a little pale

well, the sky looks a bit poor, so with your white pen

you will make a few dots, not much, just - just a few

scattered stars all over the place

now, the ground looks a bit poor in the centre

and...

why not create...

a simple structure in here?

lets go for a prehistoric structure

an henge

standing stones

now you don't need to go with a lot of detail

in here, in this structure

it's in the distance

I've only used black, white, grey and a greyish green so...

it's just four colours

you can use whatever you like

but

just keep it simple

now, I'm going to create two trees in here, in an arch

because I'm going to call this work

ah... the Moon Gate!

so, yeah! I'm going to do the silhouette of trees in here

and probably on the horizon a few more trees

now you can always continue with acrylics

or

you can use a black pen

any kind of black pen, or these markers

which are very cool

well, have it your way

alright, here's the first tree

you see? In an arch

da - that's just a simple tree, the silhouette of one

now...

for this other side the same thing

alright!

it's done

it seems there was no need to use the sponge

stop it Gordon!

jesus christ...

alright

Gordon helped me... (he) made the second tree because I was getting bored

anyway

there you have

you can always go for some trees in the distance

and a few birds if you want - you can put any element that you want... on this... work

aaaand...

I will just keep it like this, I will keep it simple

and I hope you have enjoyed it

alright friends, lets see how the work turned out without all of these lights

Gordon please, say goodbye to our friends

...

so rude

alright, I hope you have enjoyed this video

and please subscribe to watch more videos :)

all the links to my social media are down below at the description

thank you for watching and...

Crayola Crayon Illustration - Duration: 9:44.

Hey everyone!

I am back with a new video and this is going to be another video using Crayola crayons

and a ballpoint pen.

I actually did two separate videos using these materials in my channel already, so if you

want to see the previous videos, I will link them in the cards section of this video, which

is located on the top right corner with the "I" button.

So any old video that I would refer to will be linked through that button.

Just putting that out there for reference for future videos and other recent videos

I have.

Anyway, in this video I'll briefly talk about the artwork and a little bit about how

I started with art – which both have something to do with art materials, and whether or not

it really matters if you're art materials are cheap or expensive if you're just starting

out.

So the artwork in this one is fairly simple and straightforward.

I really just treated this like a sketchbook drawing.

I didn't put a lot of thought into what I'm going to do.

Instead I focused a little bit on how to execute the shading using the ballpoint pen because

the last I used a ballpoint pen for a drawing, is probably when I did the ballpoint pen challenge

video.

And that was ages ago.

So I actually did a warm up drawing before this, which prepped me to do the shading and

how to handle the pen so that it creates the lines that I wanted.

So something that I usually do for shading with a ballpoint pen is of course cross hatching,

but aside from that I also like to tilt the pen to its side, so that the ink doesn't

flow smoothly.

It actually almost feels like I'm simply scratching the paper, because the pen is hardly

making any marks on the paper.

But that actually allows me to vary the tones in the drawing.

And yeah that's what I did for the drawing part.

I mean I really just wanted to emphasise the cross hatching so eventually the crayons'

were kind of just like the final touch.

I mean I did try to imply the idea of light and shadow through the way I've placed specific

colours like yellow and purple, but aside from that I didn't really layer too much

with the crayons, especially the browns because the shading of the face was already achieved

by the pen.

For this one I simply wanted to somehow incorporate the style I have now to these cheap art materials,

which were the materials that I started out with when I was really young, but these specific

products are not the exact materials from my childhood.

The actual set of crayons that I used back then is gone now and I think I had a 128 set,

which was one of my most prized possessions back then.

Anyway, for anyone new to my channel or to anyone who doesn't know, I pretty much started

drawing from a really young age.

I usually say that I started at 6 just because that's my earliest memory of drawing, but

I feel like I've been drawing way before I was 6 which was back in 2001.

Anyway.

During that time I was really starting from scratch.

I didn't have a sketchbook until I was 12, so before then I used my dad's scrap paper

that he'd usually take home from work.

I'd use that for drawing, a pencil, and some crayons.

And I actually showed in a video of my old artworks a collection of fashion illustrations

I did using crayons.

So if you want to see more old drawings, just click the video in the "I" button.

Anyway, those were my materials before I was 12 – pieces of paper with printing on one

side and a black page on the other.

Around that time sure I wanted to have the art supplies that I'd see in bookstores

and art stores.

I wanted cool coloured pencils and scented water-based markers, but at the same time

I didn't really fuss on what I was using to draw.

I cared more about the fact that I was able to draw, because when I was really young drawing

wasn't really seen as a good thing in my family.

Sure it somehow gave my parents something to tell their friends like "hey my daughter

draws" this and that, but whenever I was drawing, it was somehow seen as something

I shouldn't do, because I should be focusing on studying – which makes sense.

But that affected the materials I had because obviously as a child, I didn't have control

on what things I could have.

I mean my parents bought everything for me.

So for a long time I was stuck with crayons for colouring materials – although I eventually

got coloured pencils and those fine tip water-based markers that were dupes of sharpies, as I

got older.

It wasn't until I was fourteen when I got really serious about my art and around that

time in 2009 we already moved here to Australia and I was just a two years into high school.

So my older brother and I would get $5 every week for school and I was saving for art materials

that I'd see at our local dollar shop which was actually conveniently located on the way

to our house.

So sometimes I'd go in and just browse.

And eventually for a while and even now I used and I still use dollar shop items because

that's when I discovered that art materials in some dollar shops are actually decent quality.

From then I'd keep saving money to buy more expensive art materials from art stores.

And when I was around 16, I earned money from my very first commission which if you don't

know what it is, it's basically when someone asks you to draw a picture for them and they

pay you.

So that helped me buy my entire Copic Ciao marker collection, which was very fortunate

for me.

Without that I probably wouldn't have been able to afford Copic markers at such an early

age.

And basically that became a staple in every YouTube video I'd make.

And the journey pretty much continues here.

Up until now I still use dollar shop items for art materials that I am using for the

first time or art materials that I am still getting used to.

And this goes back to the whole thing that I've talked about in previous videos, and

other artists have also talk about in their own videos, and still is pretty much an issue

for young artists or beginner artists.

I mean it doesn't really matter what art materials you use, as long as you focus on

learning the basics, and developing those skills.

The quality of art materials you use will usually only matter when you start to make

a living out of your art.

Artist quality materials offer longevity in the art you make, which is a big deal in the

art world, because as we know art can last longer than the artist and it tends to be

preserved or kept in it's original condition.

So if you're just starting out, and you see other artists using art materials that

are expensive, don't be discouraged because you're not using the same art materials.

I mean we all have to start somewhere, and starting with cheap art materials like a pencil

and scrap paper, or starting with expensive markers because you can afford it doesn't

really matter.

What matters is improving your skills, and upgrading your art materials can come later.

So I hope that makes sense.

But yeah!

That is it for this video.

I hope you enjoyed it.

If you did, please don't forget to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe for more

videos.

Also check out my social media links in the description box.

I've got Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr.

And yeah!

Thank you so much for watching and I will see you in my next one!
