With Dragon Ball Super Episode 77 The Universal Survival arc finally begins.
Before I start the review, I have a small request for all the Dragon Ball buddies who
watch my videos on a regular basis.
For short, sweet and fastest Dragon Ball updates please do subscribe to our new channel ' Dragon
Ball Fanverse .' I have already uploaded two videos there, do check it out, the link is
in the description and the pinned comment.
I assure you it will be worth the time.
Now, back to the episode!
So we got a controversial scene, where Goku gets slightly scratched by a bullet shot.
Yeap, a moment like this doesn't really make too much sense, but it's not absolutely
illogical.
Let's try to understand what's happening.
First of all let's get this out of the way, if you are someone who makes comments like
like Goku got hurt by a bullet means his durability bullet tier, in modest words you are a retarded
fu*k.
The good thing about Dragon Ball is it highly value training, hardwork, and consistency
most of the times.
That is why even a character with the highest dormant potential like Gohan became weak AF
for not training.
So, Goku not training might add up to it, but the real reason is when going through
everyday life or while fighting some human robbers.
Characters like Goku or even Krillin has to be very careful; they really have tone down
their power to the lowest extent.
Take a moment and think, the impact created from punches of Goku and Beerus alone trembled
the entire Universe.
That was not directed towards the Universe, and even after that, just the impact alone
sent shockwaves throughout the whole Universe.
So you can only imagine just how much lower Goku had to get while facing this guy.
Heck!
Even Master Roshi back in the Dragon Ball days could take bullet attacks head on without
getting hurt the slightest, same case with Kid Goku or Krillin.
Now, Goku is God level strong for him to tone down power to that extent is a hard job, and
maybe by trying too hard he pushed it too much.
I am not making it up, it's a 100% clear fact, and it's proven.
Like, have you noticed?
The way Goku countered the Bullet shot?
It was exactly like how Raditz did it against that farmer in that iconic Dragon Ball Z scene.
Same genes after all huh, nice throwback!
The important thing to note, Raditz killed the farmer by countering the bullet, but here
Goku just knocked the robber out.
So I hope the point is clear.
Goku was being extremely careful and totally toned down his power, and since Goku is now
way stronger, it's hard for him always to control.
All that was really obvious and I know that, but still, I don't know why some people
keep whining so I just wanted to put it out there.
Meanwhile, Goten sneaks out with Goku to train with Whis.
If he could that would be a huge advantage for him receiving training from someone like
Whis at this age, but he misses that golden opportunity by deciding to train with Trunks
as he can't leave.
As Bulma is pregnant and might give birth anytime, as you already know Bra is finally
coming.
So, this tells us something important, from the looks of it, Bulma is 7-9 months of the
pregnancy period, and this is the first time we got to know anything about her being pregnant.
So, obviously there has been a time skip either after the end of the last arc or after the
last episode, a time skip for sure has happened.
Again, months going by while Trunks and Goten remain the same in appearance!
Personally, I think one of the reasons Trunks and Goten are not in the tournament from a
creative plot perspective is, they are very undeserving as characters.
These kids, fighting over warriors like Tien and Krillin; who literally spent their entire
lives fighting is disrespectful or rather disappointing.
Most importantly there's no depth of character in them as of yet.
So, if they are to give them screen time they would want to develop their character, give
them a story instead of more fights.
Most probably after the Universal Survival Arc or 2 more arcs later there will be a time
skip when Goten and Trunks at least grow up a bit, and then they will get some screen
time some actual story to develop their character as a whole.
We don't know what is in store if DBS continues making money, they might even go past or even
overwrite the original Dragon Ball Z ending entirely.
So, the most surprising part of this episode was when Vegeta refused to train only to be
with Bulma.
So the fact is even a warrior like Vegeta who we never thought would abandon training
or fight for anything now has this soft corner, and this really highlights the height Vegeta
has reached as a character in Dragon Ball Super.
We also see Goten sacrificing the opportunity to train with Whis while Goku goes anyway.
Goku also mentions that he wasn't there when Goten was born, all these events once
again point that one difference Goku has from everyone else.
That is fighting, and training is always his priority, this guy is in a way insane, he
is ready to risk anything for the thrill of fighting and getting stronger.
This is ultimately going to put the existence of all the Universe at stake; I like this
scene where Beerus was trying to convince Goku that he shouldn't go to Omni King because
quote ' Zeno might be innocent and noble, but that innocence makes him dangerous.
Don't forget he has the power to erase the Universe itself'.
Surely, a proper way to describe Zeno, but I find it ironic how this also fits with Goku.
He is also innocent and noble, and that is also why he is dangerous.
You see he has no evil intentions in his heart, Goku is really innocent, and maybe that is
why he is not seeing through things.
Only for the sake of fighting even after being warned and threatened by Beerus, Goku goes
to Omni King.
I really liked this moment, when Goku gave an angry look back to Beerus.
Don't even think of why Beerus isn't destroying Goku.
It's simple, Goku is perhaps now even more important than him.
He gets fuckin called by The Omni King himself.
If Omni King ever found out that Beerus killed Goku he would be fuck-d big time.
So yeah Goku can really afford to be a bit reckless and be like yeah yeah stop all that
blank threats I am the best friend of the God of everything.
Anyways, Goku's meeting with Omni Kings was interesting.
So the Omnis plays this little game where they randomly destroy planets.
This scene has something significant.
Recently a theory has been going on that one of the, Omni King might be evil.
We got something that might add up to it.
We see Future Omni King is mimicking present Omni King's hand movements.
This was very clearly notable, and this didn't happen once but twice.
Another thing is at the end; Future Omni King willingly destroyed all the planets on that
table, he acted like he did it unconsciously but I think otherwise.
So, I already believe that something is wrong with Future Omni King, that he will be the
one to make the destructive rule and also he is evil.
Now, this adds up to that, and the thing is why would he try to copy present Omni King
if he is not a fake.
This is something thought provoking.
What do you think about this?

Then, at the episode end, The Great Priest officially declares the tournament by reading
out Omni's message.
Things we already know, like there will be 10 fighters from each Universe, this is when
we get a glimpse at the U7 team.
From the preview, we thought Android 17 would make his return in this episode, but he was
shown for a moment only that even not clearly maybe there will be another episode on his
return.
I am loving most of the things about this arc that we have seen till now, like I really
like the pacing.
They are taking the time required.
In the first few arc pacing system, they would not only start the tournament next episode
but also finish half of it, yeah.
That was bad.
But, now in this arc, they are moving forward like they used to in Dragon Ball Z.
The animation quality or art style has significantly improved, the best thing about it is it's
more like the Dragon Ball Z style that every sensible fans love.
The latter half of the episode looked really great.
Some scenes with Gods and Kaioshins looked exactly like DBZ art.
Let me get one thing straight if you didn't like the animation in the new opening.
You are wrong, yes you can have a personal opinion, but I just want you to know your
views in that case is wrong.
Many of my opinions are wrong though anyway.
The last thing, some fans are saying that Goku said he would get stronger than Vegeta
by training meaning currently Vegeta is stronger.
That is wrong information.
Goku and Vegeta are strict rivals their power are almost similar they keep surpassing each
other with Goku getting the upper hand most of the time.
What Goku meant here is that the gap could get big if Vegeta misses the training.
It doesn't confirm who is stronger now; it is implied they are both more or less on
the same level.
Well, that's about all for now.
