The future of our species begins now.

You used to be a better shot.

Trust me, I still am.

Get out of my head, Charles!

Raven.

Please, do not make us the enemy today.

Look around you. We already are.

Not all of us.

All you've done so far...

is save the lives of these men.

You can show them a better path.

Shut her down, Charles.

I've been trying to control you ever since the day we met...

and look where that's got us.

Everything that happens now...

is in your hands.

I have faith in you, Raven.

So true! This is Why Introverts Prefer to Just Stay Home - Duration: 4:55.

When you know an introvert, you can expect that introverts actually love staying at home

more than anything.

Of course, they will go outside sometimes.

However, there are certain times when they want to stay at home despite of their needs

to go outside.

For an introvert, small talk feels really awkward and boring, and being in a crowd,

you feel alone.

Networking and socializing feels fake to you, and when it is time that you need to recharge

your batteries, that alone time feels incredibly satisfying.

Please subscribe, click the bell button, and watch this video until the end to know the

complete information.

13 reasons when introverts just want to stay home.

#1 - After a tedious work

Introverts who work in the office are not only exhausted because of the work.

They are also exhausted because of meeting people especially those they don't like.

This combination is perfect to choose staying at home instead.

#2 - When they are asked to hang out now

Introverts do not like surprising schedule.

They only want to go outside when they are ready.

They basically need to prepare their mental bravery before they can go outside especially

with large groups.

#3 - When there is additional person

They cannot just stand with too many people.

Again, if you suddenly add one person in the group, the introverts will think twice before

they can go.

They prefer to stay at home instead of going out.

#4 - Small talk

Introverts, despite of their willingness to talk sometimes, they actually do not like

small talks.

They want deep, meaningful conversation to understand others.

#5 - When party with co-workers

Working environment usually consists many people, and they can be overwhelming for you.

Even though you may get some benefits such as being able to talk casually with your boss,

you will choose staying at home instead.

#6 - After hanging out in the other day

Hanging out with a friend is fun for some people.

However, introverted people see the world differently, and they just cannot stand for

multiple trips with friend without break.

#7 - No privacy

Even though introverts are in the public place, they still want to avoid crowd as quickly

as possible.

Unfortunately, they notice that some places cannot provide such luxuries, making them

think twice before going.

#8 - Your favorite TV shows are on air

Well, you just cannot be spoiled about the new episodes of TV series you like to watch.

That is why it is no wonder why you just want to stay home to watch it.

#9 - YOLO (You only live once)

Introverts do not like to take risks, and they just do not want to go outside to do

something that risks their life.

Over drinking, skydiving, and any other tough exercise should be left out.

#10 - Long exposure of crowd

Sometimes introverts really can play around with crowds.

However, there are some point when they are totally exhausted.

#11 - A conversation trap

Introverts can be trapped in a lengthy conversation when they meet someone who talks a lot.

It is a big problem for introverts, and that is why they prefer staying at home.

#12 - Introvert hangover

When you start feeling exhausted, you probably just need to take a break and stay at home.

#13 - Not enjoyable

People want to enjoy things and that also applies to introverts.

They want their activities meaningful and enjoyable.

If you are asking them to go to boring event, they prefer staying home.

Well, those are some of the times when introverts just want to stay home.

How To Quickly Convert Your Pin To A Necklace Pendant With Brooch Converters-Friday Findings - Duration: 7:44.

I wonder how many of you like me have a collection of pins or brooches that you

love maybe have a sentimental attachment to but don't wear very often. Today I

have for you a simple finding that could remedy that. Hello creative people, Sandy

here welcome to another Friday findings video at keepsakecrafts.net.

So brooches are one of those things I rarely think of wearing and yet I have

several that are special to me that I'd kind of like to wear, this one

was given to me by a dear friend who knew she was dying of cancer and she

actually passed out to everybody in our quilting group a piece of her jewelry

and a knick-knack because she knew her daughters didn't want or need all of it,

and so it's so special to have this and yet it's so rare that I think to wear it.

This one was my grandmother's, she loved all things Pinky, she had lamps and

paintings and all kinds of things like that in her house. I never even

considered putting it on a lapel to wear as a pin but it makes me think of her,

and some of these others she gave me, several pins actually, she gave me these

adorable little cats which I love but I never think to wear, and this which

is too much fun this little cat on a swing, again, I never think to wear it and a

few special things around the holidays that sometimes get pinned on my coat,

more often the holiday passes I don't even think of it,

and even these I do sometimes pin these on a winter coat and that's about it. I

would love it if you guys shared with me what you have if a collection of pins or

brooches do you wear them or not and why not? So I recently came across these this

is a pin to pendant or brooch converter and it's such a cool thing. Let me move

these out of the way and show you, it's so very simple, all you would do is take

a piece oh maybe we'll do the, hmm, yeah, the silver with this one,

slide it on, close up the pin... maybe, here we go, and put it on

a chain. Now it slides on here I'll tell you what you can do about that in a

moment, but isn't that cool? Like this one this would be a sweet little piece to

wear in memory of my friend and I know I would wear it a lot more often as a

necklace than as a pin just because that's how we seem to roll these days,

and even these I could see wearing one of these isn't that cute?

This I don't know that I'd ever wear as a necklace it's so huge but I might if

the outfit and the circumstances were right and it would definitely be more

likely as a necklace than as a brooch. The ones with a clutch back like an

earring back there are other ways to do that which I haven't looked at but you

can convert these into pendants as well but it's done differently, so this is

strictly for the type that has basically a needle that slides into a bar and

these are, I believe they're just over half an inch it might be 5/8 of an inch

long. Sometimes brooches have pins that

actually go up and down and you can see that they've made a different version, I

don't have any with me but on the screen there you can find them on Amazon these

are from Rings and Things for the vertical style. Also, if you like to make pins you

can see here's a style of pin back that already has a bail attached to it. In

fact I was told that a lot of older jewelry like nice brooches will come

like this so make sure you take a look if you have a vintage jewelry it may

already have a bail built in. So let's say I wanted to wear this today because

I just think it's adorable but obviously this sliding back and forth is not going

to do. There are a couple ways to deal with it. Oh, by the way so I bought this

set of five, five different colors we've got antique gold, gold ,silver and

antique copper and gunmetal and they were $7.99

for all five on Amazon which works out to about a $1.60 each. If you

have a pin that is too long you can deal with that in a couple ways, one is just

some of these, these are the little little thingies that you put on the back

of a wire, an ear wire to keep it from coming out of your ears

and as long as the pin isn't too huge you can slide that on, slide on your

finding, slide on another one and these you can buy for a couple dollars for a

package of a hundred or two hundred at your local craft store, slide those on

then you can center it. Now one thing you might notice here it's flopping, that's

an issue that I've yet to see addressed well. I think I've seen a couple of

pieces like artisan designs where there's something coming down here that

will help stabilize your pin, this one it would be tricky to do that too because

it's so open. So sometimes that's going to be an issue.

Let me know what you think if you have ideas for dealing with that

because that was the most common complaint people had was that with the

finding the pin tends to droop forward a little bit as you're wearing it. Now if

you don't have any of these little ear nuts there's another way you can deal

with that, you can add some beads. So here I have some I think these are 6/0 seed

beads and you can buy them really inexpensively at the craft store, you

might take a little trial and error to figure out how many you need to add to

get your converter centered.

That's probably about right, yeah maybe one more, you get the idea though and

that will fill in that space so it won't move so much and suddenly I've got a

rather impressive pendant which would be a lot of fun to wear. If you're more into

DIYing these things or maybe you just don't feel like placing an order I

actually came across a tutorial online by Jennifer Cameron on how to make one

just using wire to make a wire brooch converter. I will be sure to link to that

below in the description box and also at my blog post and there's also a tutorial

by Bettina Welker who did a really nice classy looking just I love the look of

this, it's just simple and refined and elegant looking, made out of polymer clay.

So I would love to hear your thoughts, what types of brooches do you have that

you would love to wear as a pendant and do you have any other ideas and also

suggestions for keeping them from tipping forward because I can see with

some designs that could be an annoyance. So I hope you found this helpful, be sure

to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and take a look at my

Patreon page. If you like my tutorials you can get bonuses by becoming a patron.

So happy creating, bye bye.

Joni's Corner: Master Artists - Duration: 1:50.

Hi, I'm Joni Eareckson Tada.

When people ask about improving their writing skills or painting skills,

I always say that a good place to start is to copy the masters.

Whether it's reading Margaret Mitchell (she wrote Gone with the Wind and that woman is the master of the paragraph) I tell you;

or you might want to leafing through art books about Monet, or John Singer Sargent, orMary Cassatt …

Because when you spend a lot of time with the experts?

It really sharpens your own creative skills.

You become a better writer and a better painter after studying their talent and imitating their style.

And the same is true in our Christian walk.

Friend, imitate the masters, and you will no go wrong.

It's why the apostle said to his fellow believers in First Corinthians chapter 4, "I urge you to imitate me."

So, friend, spend time with Paul, get to know him in his epistles;

study this great Christian and imitate how he loved the Lord Jesus.

And served others sacrificially

Or you know what?

You can look for a mature Christian that you know, and imitate the way he or she makes decisions,

Or the way that person shares the Gospel,

or reads the Word, or admonishes or encourages others.

Imitate that individual.

Copying an expert in the faith?

It' can't help but sharpen your own walk with your Savior.

Joni's Corner: Palm Sunday - Duration: 1:51.

Hi, I'm Joni Eareckson Tada.

You know Palm Sunday has to be one of the most poignant days on the church calendar.

Think of it,

when Jesus entered Jerusalem, riding on a donkey, crowds gathered in awe.

People were spreading out their garments on the dirt road, waving palm branches, shouting

at the top of their lungs, Oh "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" everybody was so happy.

Expectations were at a fever pitch; and everybody was thinking:

Finally, this is the day that Jesus is going to throw out the Romans!

He's going to release us from the burden of these dumb taxes!

He's going to feed us, He's going to protect us, we're go crown Him as our King!

But Jesus had a different agenda;

He wasn't about to go to His death

so that we could enjoy a life of comfort

and ease, and 'no taxes.'

According to Romans chapter 14, Jesus came to establish a kingdom of righteousness, and joy

and joy and peace;

Jesus came to free us from the power of sin to control us.

Is that great news or what?!

His coming wasn't about being free from human oppressors,

but the oppression of sin and its lies.

It wasn't freedom from taxes, but freedom from selfishness and greed.

Oh friend, this coming week, we look forward to celebrating Palm Sunday…

but let's celebrate a way that's in line with the intentions of our Savior, when we do that, we can honestly say

Hallelujah Jesus! Thank you for coming!

'You Got Served' Official Sneak Peek | Bar Rescue (Season 6) - Duration: 1:52.

Amber: Like, why don't you help cook something?

Like, put some liners.

Just help me instead of standing, like help.

Jon: Oil should never bubble like that.

That's all dirt and humidity. See the steam coming up?

That's the moisture of the chicken

being cooked at the wrong temperature.

I feel bad for her, don't you?

Think of this employee trying to do good

doesn't know what she's doing.

You couldn't get me to eat something fried in that fryer.

That chicken's already out of the fryer,

from a frozen product in an under temperature fryer.

There's no way that that chicken is ready.

This is bad.

We can't let anybody eat that, would you go in

and just check the safety on this for me?

I gotcha, buddy.

Jon: This is sad, man.

So they're in crisis in the kitchen.

Owner isn't supporting her.

What's going on? How are you?

Good, how are you?

Good, I'm Ryan.

I'm one of Jon's experts.

Ryan: Chris, nice to meet you, Chris.

You aren't going to serve this, are you?

These are cold, look, look.

Because the fryer temperature, see how they're greasy?

Don't serve it. Don't serve-

I'm not going to let you serve this.

Here, I'm not going to let you serve this.

This should have oil on it, this should be clean.

In fact, you know, let's do this.

If you eat this, then we'll serve it.

Yeah?

Oh, you're gonna piss me off.

If you can serve this food, this is what you're taking,

my friend and putting in food.

This right here.

You can't walk in this kitchen and clean this kitchen.

But you have no problem serving this type of food

to customers out there.

Go ahead, eat it. Eat it.

You'll Sell Your House In 26 Days - Today's Mortgage and Real Estate News - Duration: 2:38.

Wake up, kids.

We got the dreamer's disease.

This is Dan on your inside team at Growella.

It's Friday, June 1, 2018.

Get ready for today's Mortgage Minute-and-a-Half.

What do you call Batman when he skips church?

Christian Bale.

And what do you call home buyers who take too long to decide on a home?

Out of luck.

Because homes are now selling at the fastest pace in recorded history.

According to the National Association of REALTORS®, Median Days on Market is down to twenty-six

day days nationwide which is every bit of crazy ridiculous.

Days on Market measures how long it takes for the typical home to sell and April reading

is four days faster than the month prior, and twenty-nine days faster than a year ago.

So feeling rushed to decide on that house?

Yeah, you are.

Buyers are in the squeeze.

There's less time to shop, less time to tour, and less time to critically think about the

property you're about to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase.

So give yourself at least one time advantage -- get pre-approved for a mortgage.

Your pre-approval signals to sellers that you're serious, that you've vetted out your

purchase with a lender, and that you're ready to act quickly.

That matters.

Sellers only talk to pre-approved buyers anymore so get with a mortgage lender and get a leg

up on your competition.

Get pre-approved for your home loan now.

Bad news for people who like good news.

Rates for conforming, FHA, VA, USDA, and jumbo loans are all heading higher into the weekend.

However, the specific rate quote you get from a lender will depend on your credit score,

your mortgage loan size, and the state in which you live.

And make sure to give an application to two or more lenders.

It's statistically proven that the more you compare lenders, the more you'll save money.

It's worth your time, every time.

So don't skip it.

Are mortgage markets an American rock band from Long Island, New York, formed in 1994

by John Hampson and Brian Desveaux?

Because it's Nine Days of improving rates.

Straight.

You'd have to go deep into the archives to find the last nine-day run like this.

And over these last nine days, mortgage rates are down close to three-eighths of a percentage

point which is a major improvement (major improvement).

Mortgage rates dropping three-eighths adds an extra five thousand dollars to a buyer's

maximum home purchase price for every hundred thousand borrowed, and puts close to a million

existing homeowners back in the money for a refinance.

The economics of switching from a thirty-year loan to a fifteen are improved, and for homeowners

wanting to cancel FHA MIP, the math of an FHA-to-conventional refinance is way more

attractive than what it was in April.

So, whether you're buying a home or thinking on a refinance, reconnect with a mortgage

lender for an update.

Pricing and rates are the best they've been in a while.

Growella does mortgage news three times weekly -- Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays -- and

a live interactive show each Thursday at noon eastern.

Leave us a comment, ask us a question, and, hey, you know why Winnie the Pooh quit his

job writing obituaries?

He didn't like being the bear of bad news.

In a youtube video long long ago… you asked for me to talk about everything you missed

in Star Wars the Last Jedi,

the force is strong with you young padawan. and today you will fulfill your destiny.

Here's everything you missed in Disney's Lucas Film's Star Wars, Jedi the last.

(intro music plays)

Warning!

Time out!

Spoiler alert!

Oh Star Wars, we start off in our favorite scenario we like to find our selves in with

the Star Wars franchise.

That's right, a good old fashion space fight, that's not all that we get to see here though.

>> Poe Dameron: Attention, this is commander Poe Dameron of the republic fleet, I have

a urgent communicate for General Hux.

>> Crazy Nate: This opening scene with Poe Dameron and General Hux is actually a nod

to a classic comedy, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

>> King Author: Hello!

>> French Soldier: Hello, who is it?

>> General Hux: This is General Hux of the First Order.

>> King Author: Go and tell your master that we have been charged by God with a sacred

quest.

>> General Hux: Your fleet are Rebel scum and war criminals, tell your precious princess

there will be no terms, there will be no surrender.

>> King Authors Aid: What a strange person.

>> Poe Dameron: Look, I can't hold forever, if you reach him, tell him Leia has an urgent

message for him.

>> Empirial Commander: I believe he is tooling with you sir.

>> Poe Dameron: About his mother.

>> French soldier: I fart in your general direction.

>> Crazy Nate: The Dreadnought itself was also a play on old submarine movies like Hunt

for Red October.

That's why inside the control room we see red lights,

and a Periscope!

Someone please tell me why would a periscope in a spaceship in space.

Fun fact when Snoke John Cena's this guy to the ground

a stuntman actually fell for this scene and he broke his nose.

We get to learn that Snoke is responsible for connecting Ray and Kylo for his evil little

plot.

>> Snoke: It was I who bridged your minds.

>> Crazy Nate: But they killed him right?

But then after Snoke is already dead they have another moment where they connect the

Force together.

Obviously she's on the ship and he's in the base.

But they see each other.

So who's bridging them together now if Snoke's dead?

Do you think Ray is learning the force so fast that now she can do this awesome cool

trick?

Even though she didn't even get real training from Luke, ever?

While we were on the island if you look under the water that's Luke's X-wing,

probably how he made it to the island in the first place.

If you watched the original Star Wars you may have thought that Luke was going to be

teaching Ray how to use the force to lift the cool x-wing out of the water.

Just like how Yoda taught Luke back in The Empire Strikes Back.

Turns out though that was just a diversionary tactic so we can't predict what would happen

in the future.

>> Yoda: It's energy surrounds us.

>> Ray: I feel something.

>> Luke: You feel it?

>> Ray: Yes, I feel it.

>> Luke: That's the force.

>> Ray: Really?

>> Luke: Wow, it's really strong with you.

>> Crazy Nate: However the door to Luke's Hut is made out of a X-wing.

So it's possible that X-wing can't even fly.

Any Star Wars geek will probably admit that they had a crush on princess Leia at one point

in their life.

Carrie Fisher who plays Princess Leia has a daughter in real life.

And Lieutenant Connix is that daughter.

That's why she has the Princess Bun head theme going on here,

That's playing tribute to one of Princess Leia's most iconic costumes.

Another fun fact about Princess Leia, is when R2D2 decides to show old footage of Princess

Leia to convince Luke to help, that's actually the original footage from the very first Star

Wars ever made, a New Hope.

Obvious Leia was upset about losing the bombing fleet, but that's not what she was upset

about here.

In reality she was actually having a force moment with Luke about Hons their loss.

Not this Hans, this Han S. This Hans can die, no one cares.

But unfortunately that scene got cut and this is all you saw.

But this is what they originally were going to show you.

It may seem odd though because Leia is a tough girl who likes putting up a fight,

>> Princess Leia: Into the garbage shute fly boy.

>> Crazy Nate: So why did she hate that he took the risk to take out a dreadnought.

Because they needed to jump to light speed, and they couldn't until Poe Dumb finally

got back to the ship.

So the fact that the enemy almost shot the mega cannons at the main ship and ended the

entire rebellion right there and then.

That could be a reason why she's a little bit upset.

So obviously Ding Dong here didn't risk his own life and the bombing crews life, he

actually risked the entire Rebellions life.

So what's the big deal about these gold dice we keep seeing everywhere, right?

Luke seemed like he couldn't care less, and he didn't want to help the rebellion because

that makes sense to Lukes character.

But none the less, when he saw the dice he got lost in his mind and he's all like maybe

I should help.

That's because he was thinking about his old friend Han Solo.

Those were Han's dice and that used to be Han's ship,

Apparently we will get to see Han win the Falcon against his friend Lando.

Lando!

Fun little fact the hand that pulled the dice down was actually Rian Johnson the Director

of the Last Jedi and not Luke Skywalkers hand.

And this dude that gets blowed up is the associate producer Jamie Christopher.

Today's Survey time is this.

Do you think it made sense in the movie that Luke Skywalker decided it was time to die

after having a virtual fight with Kylo Ren?

Yes, No, Maybe so, or you didn't even see the movie.

Being Disney owns Star Wars now some people think we would see a mickey version of Darth

Vader,

and it seems that's not the case.

Even though some people would argue it is.

But they did hide a hidden Mickey in a deleted scene.

Right here.

If you look, the light is arranged for a Mickey face, head, thing.

If you notice in the grand finale battle, these are not the traditional AT-ATs we're

used to seeing.

By the way, AT-AT stands for All Terrain Armored Transport.

These guerrilla walkers or AT-M6 are a more improved upgraded version of the AT-AT.

If you remember in Empire Strikes Back Snow Speeders could easily destroy the AT-AT's

with a well placed cable.

Now these new and improved walkers are reinforced in the front legs with armor and razor sharp

spikes on them so they can't simply be tripped anymore with a cable.

That sucker right there will just snap it.

When Luke Skywalker has his epic light saber battle with Kylo Ren, we find out at the end

he wasn't actually there but he was using the force to appear to be there.

But if you go back and watch closely to the scene you will see they left several clues

to show us Luke wasn't actually there.

If getting blasted over a hundred times from Gorilla Walkers wasn't a big enough hint,

remember Jedis can be killed.

Hint number 2.

After all the explosion from all the blasters the salt is blown off the ground showing just

the hard ruby surface, and as they fight more and more salt falls slowly covering the ground

again.

No salt falls on Luke and sticks to him even though it falls on Kylo and sticks to him.

hint number 3.

Also watch Kylos foot, when it moves you can see it moves the salt too,

but when Luke moves his foot no salt moves…

He's a ghost!

When Kylo finally storms the abandoned base to find the rebellion and kill them all, listen

to the music.

It's the same music being played when Anakin stormed the Temple to kill the Jedi in training

in Episode 3.

And I gotta say, good job to Ray for figuring out how to lift all those big heavy rocks…

But here's a question, why didn't Leia just do it?

For those of you that don't know, Luke is the son of Darth Vader, which is why he is

so connected to the force,

>> Darth Vader: I am your father.

>> Crazy Nate: but so is Princess Leia, why?

Because her and Luke are siblings, in fact not only are they siblings they are twinsies!

>> Annie: We're like twins!

>> Crazy Nate: So Leia Organa could of clearly moved those rocks with out even trying.

And why in this universe or the next does Ray feel like she has to translate what Chewy

is saying to Luke.

>> Ray: He said you're coming back with us.

>> Crazy Nate: I think it's safe to say he knows what the Wookie is saying.

Bless your heart.

Speaking of power houses,

here's a play on Jurassic Park, with the old T-rex stomping on the ground making the

water vibrations,

but clearly these beast have more stomping power.

Another Power house from Jurassic Park you probably recognize is Vice Admiral Holdo.

She's played by Laura Dern who also played as Dr. Sattler in Jurassic Park.

>> Dr. Sattler: Dinosaurs eat man, Woman inherits the earth.

>> Crazy Nate: One Easter egg that I was shocked to see in Star Wars is a reference to a movie

that was making fun of Star Wars.

I bet the first time you saw this scene you were like me and you thought wait, what the

heck, that looks like an iron…

Then it turns out it was an iron.

Well back in the oldie days like in the 70's…

yes they had Televisions back in the 70's.

A movie came out that poking fun at Star Wars and it was called Hardware Wars.

In this movie the Millennium Falcon was you guessed it, an iron.

Another movie reference though is in the battle between Captain Phasma and Finn.

When Finn rides the elevator back up and then he then says

>> Finn: hey.

>> Crazy Nate: That's a reference to this scene in Back to the Future Two.

>> Marty McFly: Nice shot Doc!

>> Crazy Nate: This guy, General Ematt is played by Andrew Jack who is basically a voice

coach for a lot of the actors like Daisy, and even a few of the aliens, how in the heck

do you teach an alien how to talk?

Understanding Hotel California - Duration: 7:18.

hey, welcome to 12tone! when I was younger, Hotel California was always one of my favorite

songs in my dad's music collection.

it was unlike anything else I'd ever heard, and the atmosphere it created was mesmerizing,

so now that I'm a real music theorist, I thought it'd be fun to go back and take a look at

what it was I was actually hearing.

it starts like this: (bang) and I'm just gonna stop it there for a second.

these are what's called arpeggios, where the notes of a chord are played one at a time

instead of all at once, and they're all over this intro.

that's not a problem, though: all we have to do is squish them all together to get back

our full chord, and once we do that, we have B minor and F#7, which are the I chord and

the V chord in B minor.

this immediately brings to mind the concept of functional harmony, which as we've mentioned

elsewhere is the idea that different chords in a key have different functions or jobs

to do.

the I chord has what's called tonic function, which means it provides a sense of rest, while

the V chord has dominant function, which means it points back to the I chord.

so far, we're off to a fairly simple start.

but the F#7 doesn't resolve like we'd expect.

instead, we get this (bang) which is where things start to get weird.

whereas before the chord qualities were fairly straightforward, here we've got some more

exotic sounds.

this Asus2 chord, for instance, is what happens when you take a normal A chord and replace

the 3rd degree with a note a major 2nd above the root. this creates some ambiguity because

it's not clear whether it's supposed to be major or minor, and I think that's the point

here: based on the key, we'd expect to see A major, and using the sus2 chord instead

removes some of the brightness that would've created.

likewise, this E9 chord has an added note, called a tension, which again adds more color

to it.

it's also worth noting that these alterations make the chords easier to play on a guitar,

but as a theorist I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

anyway, those changes aside, there's also something else going on here: a harmonic motif.

this is when the same basic chord movement is repeated over and over, and we can see

that by comparing the chords from the first part (bang) to the chords in the second.

(bang) in both cases, you have a starting chord, followed by a dominant 7th whose root

is a fourth lower.

all we've done is shifted the pattern down a whole step.

that creates a problem, though: the F#7 was pointing back to the I chord, which means

it had dominant function, but the E9 is actually pointing to some sort of A chord instead.

it's still directional, but instead of leading home it wants to take us to a secondary location,

so we just call it a secondary dominant.

that doesn't resolve either, though, instead feeding into this (bang) which is another

statement of our harmonic motif, again lowered a whole step.

the precise shapes of the chords are slightly different, but the overall effect is the same,

and finally we end with this (bang) which is just the IV and V chords.

the IV chord has subdominant function, which means its job is to create instability and

set up that V chord, which then finally resolves back to the start of the phrase.

but there's something bigger going on here that gets lost when we take things in little

chunks like this.

let's zoom out a bit and look at the whole progression (bang) now let's remove the unresolved

dominants.

(bang) you know what, let's drop this E minor 7 too, to get to a nice, even number of chords,

and while we're at it we'll clean this up to A major, which leaves us with… (bang)

one of my favorite chord progressions, often called the Andalusian Cadence, which is basically

just a walk down the minor scale from the I chord to the V. it's a popular technique

in flamenco and other guitar-heavy genres, and this whole intro seems to be just an intensely

decorated version of it.

that progression continues through the verse, which means our next stop is the chorus: (bang)

first, I want to talk about the transition: the verse ends with F#7, which we said is

supposed to go to B minor, but the chorus starts with G major instead.

this is what's called a deceptive resolution, and it works because G major is almost identical

to B minor.

there's only one note different, so even though it's not where we expect it to go, it's still

a pretty solid resolution.

but moving on to the chorus itself, we have a bit of a problem.

we could keep analyzing it in B minor, but if we do that it doesn't really make a lot

of sense.

instead, I'd probably analyze this section in the key of D major.

this is called a relative modulation and it's incredibly subtle because we don't actually

change any of the notes, we just change how we use them in order to create a different

sense of tonality.

it's a small difference, but it leads to a completely new harmonic landscape.

anyway, we start here with the IV chord, followed by the I. the IV chord is unstable but not

very directional, so moving from it back to the I gives us a weaker resolution than we'd

get from, say, the V. (bang) this is often called a plagal cadence, and it helps us avoid

creating too much of a sense of finality.

then we go to F#7, followed by B minor.

this looks a lot like the V-I movement we saw earlier, but remember, we're not in B

anymore, so the F#7 has become a secondary dominant, pointing us to the VI chord.

then the song does something that honestly confused me for quite a while: it resolves

that VI minor back to the IV chord which… isn't really how that works.

if you play the chords by themselves there's no real resolution, but if you listen to the

section (bang) it's pretty clearly there, and that clip may have given you a clue as

to why: it's all in the walk-up.

the rising line, the accelerating rhythm, and the big, powerful electric guitar all

combine to create a sense of tension and release that, from a harmonic perspective, really

shouldn't exist, and I don't know about you but I find that fascinating.

anyway, that feeds into this (bang) which has that same plagal cadence as before, then

we set up a return to the verse key, with the same IV and V chords we saw at the end

of that progression.

you may be wondering about the F# augmented, but that's mainly just a bit of extra decoration.

this song is full of things like that: the Eagles were all fairly accomplished session

players before starting their own band, and they're really good at adding little flourishes

throughout the song that help keep things fresh.

they go back and forth between these two sections for a while, then finally we get to a solo

over the verse progression. in fact, not just a solo, but a conversation: this section is

a guitar battle between Don Felder and Joe Walsh, each one masterfully playing off the

other.

I'm not gonna go through the whole thing 'cause there's a lot, but I do want to talk a bit

about the end, or rather the lack of an end.

like we saw in the Comfortably Numb video, it doesn't actually finish.

in fact, it's still building momentum when they fade the track out, giving the sense

that it goes on forever, which is stunningly appropriate for this song.

after all, the last line we hear is "you can check out any time you like, but you can never

leave."

anyway, that's basically it, but before we go, I wanted to let you know that next Friday,

June 8th, Adam Neely's gonna be hosting the inaugural youtube music theory livestream

featuring me, Sideways, and 8-Bit Music theory.

we're gonna be hanging out, talking about music, and taking audience questions, and

you may even see my face.

it's at 4pm eastern time over on Adam's channel, so set an alarm or whatever, and I'll see

you there! or, I won't, but you'll see me, and I'll read the things you're typing and…

you know what, I don't have to explain livestreams to you.

bye!

ok, seriously, thanks for watching, and thanks to Patreon patron Matt Osborn for suggesting

this song! if you'd like to see your favorite song analyzed, just head on over to P atreon

How I Discovered the Secret to Stop Binge Eating and Addiction Effortlessly - Duration: 12:14.

Are you tired of fighting with food? Do you want to stop binge eating an

emotional eating the easy way? If so you want to watch this video all the way through!

because I'm gonna reveal to you how I discovered the secret to evaporating,

zapping, eliminating any type of compulsive behaviors including binge

eating, including emotional eating so the

cravings become completely manageable and easy to control. So how did I

discover how to stop a compulsive behavior effortlessly actually by

accident and how can you apply that knowledge to stop binge eating and

emotional eating the easy way?

I didn't have the compulsive behavior I'm going to talk about. It's

something that appeared out of the blue in my life. All of a

sudden, I had this feeling that I wanted to go online and visit online tarot card

reading sites and ask the same question over and over. And, if I didn't like the

answers I got from one website, I would go to another one and then one hour

would pass, then two hours would pass... Then, I would stop. And I would start again the

next day or I would start a few hours later. That's how bad it got. I was

wasting my time and my life away. And I didn't know why and I wasn't happy at

the time. I was lost confused. I didn't know what to do in my life. And

I didin't know where I was going so I didn't even bother to stop myself. I

kind of felt that I needed this online tarot card reading, that I couldn't live

without it. This was how I felt and so I didn't even challenge myself. But then, two

years later, I realized this had stopped and this was actually an addiction. I had

become addicted to online tarot card reading. And, I noticed I had stopped. So I was

like okay what did I do? Can I reverse engineer what I did so

that I can learn something from this experience and apply it to any type of

compulsive behavior in my life and help my clients have better lives. And, this is

what I've discovered.

I remember one day. I was in the middle of this craziness. I was at my computer

asking me the same question to an online tarot card reading site. And, it had been

about an hour and I did one thing. I pause. and I started looking

at myself as if I was a friend, a wise friend. You know. One of my avatars, my

model is Gandalf because he is wise, strong and funny. And so I kind of spoke

to myself this way. I said what I needed to hear to myself. And, that was kind of

uncomfortable. But that was liberating. So,the one thing that I was asking on the

website, the one question that I was asking every day was basically: "am I

going to find loved." I was single at the time I was recovering from a very

painful breakup and disappointment. And it was

hard for me. And instead of grieving and recovering from this, I went on and just

did online tarot card reading. It kind of made me feel better but it didn't change

my life. And throughout the years that I was doing that, I never found love. I had

either nobody in my life or uninteresting relationships that didn't last very long

So, I think that this thing was keeping me stuck. And, I had to look at that. So, I

spoke to myself and I said: "you know what Laura? You're afraid that you're not

going to be loved because you were in a relationship where you had a big big big

disappointment and this guy that you're asking a question is he gonna love me

you can't change how he feels by

going online and asking the question to a tarot reading site." That was kind

of uncomfortable to hear. That was kind of a you know like, a brutal kind of

honest,y truth moment. a reality check. But that was real. That was genuine.

And, so, I had to accept I didn't have any power or any control over that person's

feelings for me. Then I needed to look at

why, why I had chosen to go online and ask the same question over and over. And so

one thing was that pain. But then when I looked a little bit closer, I discovered

that I had created in my mind a future of eternal loneliness and singlehood. I

had lost faith that I could find love I had lost faith that I could find a man

who would love me and stay with me. And, this is what I needed to challenge!

In my mind my future of set. And all I could do was to expect an eternal life of

singlehood and loneliness. It was kind of a mental prison because there was no

escape. There was no way to get out. So what do you do when you can't escape a

situation? What do you do when you think that your future is doomed?

Well, first you feel not so happy. Right? You feel depressed. You have an emotional

reaction and then what you try to do is to change

that emotion because obviously you don't have another option. Right? That's going to be

like that for the rest of your life so you can't change that,

so the only thing you can do is change how you fee.l And, this online tarot

card reading thing was actually helping me do that. That was my only option,

except that it wasn't because I'm with somebody who loves me and my

relationship is healthy and he's a good person. So, I was wrong! And, this is what I

did: when I realized what I was doing to myself, that I was actually disempowering

myself, that I was wasting my life in my time (away), then I had this honest talk with

myself and I said: "Hey, you know Laura?you can't control

that person's feelings for you and you can't make him the right guy for you. But

also you've got to start looking at what you say to yourself: "there's never gonna

be love for me" Is that true? I mean. Is this an absolute truth or this is

something your brain is telling you or you were telling yourself because you

weren't in the past and even if you weren't in the past, it doesn't mean that

it's going to be like that in the future!

No, it doesn't! And, I decided it wouldn't. I decided I would go grow beyond that kind

of limiting beliefs. And I did. And that's that work that got me out of addiction.

So you see. I never fought this addiction. I kind of just told myself the truth. I

paused. I looked at what I was doing. I looked at the craziness of the whole

thing. And, I looked at what had created this urge in this addiction and what I

needed to do instead. This is so much more easier!

Even though, it requires courage and tolerating a little bit of discomfort.

It's so much easier than saying: "you are such a weak person because you're

going online..." and putting myself down and making me feel bad because I tried that

in the past. I know that if you try and shame and guilt trip

yourself, you're gonna make things even worse and you're actually going to create

more motivation to go and do the very thing you want to stop. But I knew that

already. So, I didn't go there. But what I discovered was a very simple formula. I'm

going to repeat it. And, I hope that you're going to use it. Tell me in the comments

if you are because I would love to hear that! Pause. Look at what you're doing...

even if you can stop yourself at the moment. it doesn't matter. Pause, look at

what you're doing, the craziness of the whole thing, look at how you're feeling,

look at what you need... What I discovered is that we all have drives and these

drives are the drive that are leading you to a compulsive behavior. That's when

you feel trapped, when you feel you don't have a choice, when you feel you can't

change your future. This is just an introduction. And, I want to share with

you a case study of how I applied this knowledge to help Sara find peace with

food in five days after binging every night for years.

Yes! we found what Sarah needed we found her drives her secret fears

what she needed to look at. And when we did that Sarah

stopped binging! Everything became easier for her. So, I want you to discover how she

did this! You'll find a link somewhere I don't

know where you're watching this video, maybe below, maybe there and or there and...

download a PDF and watch the walkthrough video because it will apply

more to binge eating and it will show you how I've applied the discovery to

help somebody else and everybody I work with change their life and their eating

patterns the easy way, the effortless way! Thank you for watching. And, if you like

this video let me know in the comments and like my video. I'm gonna be creating

Genevieve Nnaji house in Ikoyi, Lagos, Abuja & Lekki - Duration: 4:24.

As you probably know, acting is a lucrative career. Today, well show you Genevieve Nnaji house or rather multiple houses, as the actress has quite a few of them.

Check out the pictures of her mansions and try not to drop your jaw in amazement.

One of the grandest purchases of Genevieve Nnaji in recent years was the acquisition of a fantastic mansion in Park View Estate, Ikoyi. According to yours truly, the house cost the actress the whopping ₦220 million.

She bought it back in 2013 and has been living there ever since. Pictures of Genevieve Nnaji house in Ikoyi, Lagos.

For the longest time, nobody has even suspected that Nnaji bought a house. Apparently, she wanted to avoid unnecessary media exposure before she dealt with renovations and furnishing.

She is still not very fond of sharing any photos of her home (for privacy reasons), so this is pretty much all we could find. Photos of Genevieve Nnaji house in Lekki.

Now, when we talk about Genevieve's house in Lekki, we mean the house that she bought for her parents. A few years ago, she made her folks very happy by getting them a new home.

The family had previously lived in Egbeda for a long time, but the actress was able to relocate them to Lekki, the high-brow area of Lagos.

Akinwalere states that the Nnajis have lived in Egbeda for a very long time, but Mr Nnaji has been dealing with a lot of health issues lately.

This made it harder for Genevieve to visit him and provide him with proper medical care, which is why she went for such a big move. Genevieve Nnaji house in Abuja.

As you might already know (or you could have guessed by now), Genevieve Nnaji does not like sharing details about her personal life, especially when it comes to her home.

Which is why we were surprised to see her posting on Snapchat the newest addition to her real estate collection.

As stated by Pulse, the actress seems to have ventured into real estate, as the new house in Abuja looks like it is big enough for several families to live in.

It is a four-bedroom terrace duplex that has treated water supply and centralised power generator. It also has servant's quarters, so you know it is fancy.

It is said that this house is built by Sticks & Stones Property in Apo-Dutse, and it cost Genevieve almost ₦30 million. Another wonderful Genevieve Nnaji mansion in Ghana.

You might think that we are done, but we want to tell you about one more building.

Apart from having a large mansion in Lagos, as well as other real estate in Nigeria, Genevieve also chose to get herself a four-million-dollar house in Accra, Ghana.

According to Pulse, this palace is guarded by a security company, which is not at all surprising, given the status of its residents.

The actress who once lived in Ghana chose the Achimota area in Ghana to live, as she prefers it to East Legon area.

Even though $4 million is quite a big sum, Nnaji can definitely handle it, taking into account her various roles, as well as multiple endorsements deals.

Now it seems like we have covered all of the known real estate owned by Genevieve Nnaji. She seems to be investing her money smartly. Who knows, maybe one day, she will become a real estate mogul :).
