Hi guys! Today I'll be showing you swatches and we'll be playing with the Zoeva Caramel
Melange eyeshadow palette. If you've never seen me before, which is very likely because
I have a very, very, very small channel, my name is Maike, I am a makeup artist. I make
beauty and makeup and lifestyle videos, if you think you might wanna support me in that

appreciate that. So the idea behind this video is that I wanted to get an affordable, cruelty-free
eyeshadow palette that I'm gonna do several videos on on eye looks because I feel like
a lot of youtubers out there buy a palette, do one look and then they never look at it
again and if you're buying a palette you obviously wanna use it more often, so I'm gonna do as
many looks as possible in this series with this one palette. To get started right away,
a few infos about the palette. Zoeva is a German, cruelty-free brand. This palette is
called the Caramel Melange palette. It has ten shadows inside um each has one point five
grams or zero point zero five ounces that is the equivalent to a MAC eyeshadow for example
um the palette I bought from Douglas dot A T for twenty-three Euros ninety-nine that
makes each shadow two Euro point four Euro. Which is very, very cheap. So here we have
the beautiful eyeshadow palette, the caramel melange from Zoeva, as you can tell it comes
with this beautiful foiled gold pattern on a brown background and it comes inside one
of these sleeves and when you open it up you have the ten beautiful shades. It comes with
a little plastic protective thing. Here we have six matte shades. Three shimmers and
one shade with glitter particles. On the back in the same gold foiled writing it says the
expiration date, the ingredients, the net weight and all of that good stuff
and on the sleeve it says exactly the same thing again. Now the swatches I'm just gonna
do one swirl, well three swirls and one swipe and then I'm gonna build that swatch up so
you can see what the eyeshadow can do. This first one is Wax Paper as you can see it does
not have a lot of color payoff, so I suppose you have to use it more as a setting shade,
which is a shame. Next up we have Universal Delight, it's a beautiful transition shade,
it does come up a lot darker on the skin than it does in the pan, in the pan it looks like
a beige and on the skin it looks much more like a kind of peachy toned very light brown.
Next we have Aftertaste, this is a gorgeous kind of burnt orange shade, it's quite pigmented
and it's very buildable. This is Alchemy. This is a brown that is very, very much going
into an orange, a burnt orange, this has a ton of kickback it's very powdery, so be careful.
Next we have Start Soft, this is a similar shade to Alchemy, it's just a little less
red based, still very orange but going more into the cool tones. This is Finish Sensual,
this is in my opinion, the only really cool toned color in the palette and it's a nice
brown shade, also powdery. 182 degrees celsius, this is the first shimmer, very pigmented,
very creamy. Here we have Almost Burnt, this is a gold shimmer, a very yellow based gold
to match the orange theme. This is not as pigmented as a hundred and eighty-two degrees
celsius, but it's very buildable and Liquid Center, in my opinion the most
pigmented and most creamy and beautiful shade in the whole palette. It is a kind of bronzy
brownish orangey shade. And last we have Edible Gem, this is a dark brown with gold glitter
specs in it. It's going on a little patchy, but it's quite buildable. And there we have
it, these are the swatches of the caramel melange palette. Now let's continue with a
little demonstration. I'm gonna prep my eye with the Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine
eyeshadow base. I'm just gonna put this on my lid and spread it out with my finger. Now
I'm taking a big fluffy brush, this is the Morphe R forty and I'm gonna take Universal
Delight, this one right here and put this all over my lid. Ok that is darker than I
thought it would be, so I'm gonna go in with Wax Paper, the white shade here and above
my crease up to my eyebrow I'm gonna mix it with Universal Delight, just to make that
a little lighter. And as in the swatches I don't really see any of this on my eye, so
definitely not a pigmented shade, I think the only thing I'm gonna use this for is basically
just to set my eye primer with. Which sucks though because that really only leaves Almost
Burnt, the gold shade as a highlighter shade which is also kind of dark um so yeah there
is kind of a highlighter shade missing in this. Now I'm gonna take this shade here Aftertaste,
I'm taking the same brush and I'm putting this all over my movable lid and above my
crease. This blends out very nicely and it does have some pigment to it, considering
I'm using such a loosely bound brush it is doing very well. Now I'm gonna in with this
shade here, Alchemy and I'm gonna focus this is on my outer V and above my crease. This
does seem to have a lot of Kickback, a lot of um product coming out so definitely make
sure to tap off your brush
and I'm also taking this underneath my eye. This is very pigmented and the fallout is
not helping. I'm gonna take a clean blending brush this is the two two eight luxe crease
from Zoeva and I'm just gonna blend out the edges here a little bit. Taking the MAC 217
again I'm gonna use Finish Sensual, this one and this I'm just gonna also a lot of, not
as much as in the other one kickback, but there is also kickback in this one and I'm
gonna concentrate this in the outer corner. This palette is really right on trend with
the with the warm colors pretty much the one I'm using now is the only true cool tones
color in this palette. I like that there is a lot of mattes, but the shades are really,
really similar, so it's kind of difficult to create um very different looks from this,
so I'm excited for the challenge. Now I'm taking a shader brush, this is the MAC 239
and let's see I'm gonna take Liquid Center and pack this on the inner third of my movable
lid. I am really not multi-tasking um able to multi-task, see how slowly I said that
because I just was not concentrating on what I'm saying. This is a gorgeous, gorgeous shade
oh my god I'm in love with it. I think if I make my brush wet I'm gonna get a better
result but I'm just gonna use my finger real quick, yeah that steps up the game even more,
it's like super foiled, it's so nice. I'm taking this large pencil brush, this is the
223 petite eye blender from Zoeva, I'm gonna take Almost Burnt and I'm putting this in
my inner corner and I'm pulling it underneath my eye a little bit as well to connect it
to that darker shade. I'm just gonna wet my brush, for that I'm just putting some Fix
plus on my hand here and I'm swirling the brush in it and I'm gonna go into Almost Burnt
again. Let's see if I can intensify that, yeah it's a lot more intense now. I'm taking
that clean blending brush again that I used before and I'm just blending these together.
Also using the 234 luxe smokey shader brush from Zoeva I'm gonna take Wax Paper again
and I'm just gonna set a little bit of a highlight underneath my brow bone here. Now I can see
some color, but it's not very pigmented. For mascara I'm using the Smokey Eye Mascara from
Bobbi Brown, just a normal black mascara. Ok and we're done! Ok so what I can say about
the palette now, I've used seven shades of the palette, Wax Paper does not have a lot
of color payoff, the other ones are very nice and very pigmented um Alchemy and Finish Sensual
had quite a lot of kickback, so be careful when you put your brush in there and always
tap off your brush. Almost Burnt and a hundred and eighty-two...no... Liquid Center is what
I used, um are very nice foiled shades they were better if you use your finger or make
your brush wet um I do like the color scheme, it's very on trend, on trend with youtube
let's say uh with the warm colors and the oranges and all of that, which I like as well
um it's getting kind of boring, but if you're into that that's awesome, I am and overall
I'm happy with this palette so far. So stay tuned for more looks using this palette I'm
really trying to challenge myself here and use this palette as much as possible and make
different looks with it, which is kind of hard, because it's very similar colors but
