Hi everybody and welcome back to this provincial night life this provincial night
this provincial life
My name is crystal
And today I'm going to be talking about the two readathons that I am going to be participating in this summer
well, in the next couple of weeks I
Have never participated in a read-a-thon because I'm just I'm really busy
I go to school full-time and then I work halftime and it's just
Like I'm lucky I can read one or two books a month
Let alone like try to set aside all of my extra time to read but this month, I mean this summer. I'm actually
Free and so I'm going to be participating so it reads I'm participating in is the read-eh-thon
by
books in la la which is all about Canadian authors and
Then tomes Topple
By thoughts on tomes, which is about tackling
Books over 500 pages. So today I wanted to talk about the books that I'm
Going to read I guess it's not
necessarily a TBR
these are just the books that I have on my list and I have in my possession or on my Kindle to kind of just
Have at the ready for these readathons books and lala's
Read-a-thon is from July 1st to July 8. And then
thoughts on tomes tome Topple is
from June 29th to July 12th
And so I'm going to be doing them at the exact same time. I'm just gonna kind of try to
Do as best as I can and read as much as I can. I will be vlogging my experience
It's my very first vlog
So be very kind because I don't know how it's gonna turn out but I'm gonna do my best and so without further ado
Let's get into the books for
thoughts on toMes
Read-a-thon. I have chosen
Oh
Brandon Sanderson's
Mistborn
because it is obviously over 500 pages and it
It petrifies me to be perfectly honest. I've had this book for
5 years and I just scares
The crap out of me. It's really intimidating. I'm not really a
huge high fantasy person
Actually, I've never read a high fantasy and then just in case I'm not in the mood for this book. I
Have the Night Circus by Erin
Morgenstern
it's been on my TBR for years and years and it just intimidates me because it's big and
it's epic and it's probably something I would really love another book that I have on my
TBR I guess for this is
Jodi Picoult the storyteller if I'm more in the mood for just a contemporary. For the read-Eh-thon
I decided to do all books on my Kindle because I actually don't own any books
From a Canadian author right now. I do have a list that
that I derived from a little screen shot that books and lala did on her announcement video and
Just went and found some books on
Overdrive I'm just going to show you those ones read a book with the red in the cover
I chose room by Emma Donoghue, and then I'm also using that to be
Read a book by a Canadian woman
The next requirement is read a book with an E and an H and I chose the book
That the couple next door by Shari Shapena. I've never read a Shari Shapena book
but I've actually heard a lot about her and I'm
Excited because I really like thrillers. the last book I have on there that will fulfill read a book by an indigenous author
It is this is not a test by Courtney summers. So that's my TBR for the read-a-thon
Hopefully you guys have are going to be participating. If you are please let me know down below
I would love to to know what you guys are reading and then also
Look out for my vlog from the read-a-thon because I will be posting that hopefully on the 13th of July
Which is the day after the thoughts on tomes in fun ends, so that's all
Bye
