Waching daily Jun 27 2018

It's much easier if I'm able to walk without this.

I don't care how slow it is, you know

but it's much easier as opposed to having to take this, and move this out of the way.

The reason why I didn't go out a lot, even before I got here, was because

I was ashamed of being disabled. And it's hard. Sometimes it's, sometimes now it's hard for me

just to see people walk.

You think as a man you're supposed to be able to get out

and do this and do this around the house, do this. You do manly things or whatever

so when all that's taken away from you, then you have to have somebody to do

stuff for you, because at one point in time, I couldn't do things for myself

because I couldn't walk.

I had to stop thinking like that

because if I kept thinking like that, then I wouldn't be where I'm at now.

This chair is low, too. (Laughs)

There's Steve in the corner, see?

The DDP yoga is helping me

stretch these muscles out, you know. The more stretching and the more movement

you do the better you get.

(DDP YOGA app video plays.)

5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

It's kind of like having a high. Literally. I'm telling you because

endorphins or whatever you want to call it man

adrenaline or whatever the case may be. I'm like that for long time afterwards man.

And I look forward to it, you know what I'm saying, like tomorrow I'm looking forward to it

you know. I'm looking forward to going in and doing this because I know it's gonna

work. It's working already. You know the more I do this the easier it is

because we get loose in this natural range of motion. My balance and strength

going up and down these steps, and being able to raise my knee and my foot to

clear the steps as opposed to my toe dragging a step all the time

like it used to.

And my core strength is better, so I'm not leaning forward.

I'm gaining more mobility and I forced myself out there to walk around. I never -

The first time I walked around that circle four times, I just said I'm gonna do it.

Still at the same time, I'm like man you know I'm still using this walker but now

since I started DDP man I'm having - I mean you can call them visions, dreams, or whatever

the case may be. I see it all the time. I see myself walking without this walker

in the near future.

That's why I'm not telling anybody at home. My mom don't even look at

YouTube or nothing like that, so they won't even see this.

The concept in my head was I was never gonna walk again.

You know I had to realize that

if I can get up and I can move my feet and I can move my legs even

though I'm having spasms, then something's there.

Let's put you in a King of the Ring chair

Look we're gonna put you out of that.

Good, good.

We're just going to move the chair, you stay.

Take it on down.

I'm with you dude. I got you pal.

That's a long drop.

Yeah.

That's way too low for you.

Alright, I didn't realize that.

You're a warrior, brother.

Matter of fact we're gonna go, we're gonna use that chair

because I didn't realize it would take him that long to get out of that.

Do you wanna use this?

Yep, don't use the other one. Use the one we just were using.

Yeah cuz I didn't realize you got, we gotta build that strength

to get out of that, and that's my goal for that.

You did good, brother.

Now take it up into Touchdown.

Boom boom boom boom boom.

Now this is where I'm wanting you to go.

Do you feel that a little bit of difference? That's elongating the spine just that

little bit farther. Palms up. Great dynamic resistance.

Now come down, go right into diamond cutter.

Push it in tight.

Now when you come back this time, I'm back here I want you to lean back.

Take it back up. Go with whatever feels comfortable to you, but -

Can you put your... there you go!

Now, arms out to a T.

Exhale, Hulk it up.

Inhale, attention.

Roll it back. Roll it back.

Awesome, at ease. Now you started at 64 and your heart rate is already at 104.

Let's see how fast your heart rate goes down. That's awesome.

Here - here's the deal, right here Jerry.

What I'm looking at is like this motion right here, that's where it's the weakest.

From here to here, you're good there. And you're good just getting here.

Now if we just get back to here

so if you can get this motion here to here, and then down. That's one.

I'd try to move that leg out a little bit more because it's all about breaking up that

scar tissue that's there bro. There you go. Now, grab them. Deep breath.

Pull them out. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Deep breath.

When I'm working with someone with Jerry's limited mobility

I'm really kind of figuring out as I go along. Sometimes I say I'm making

this up as I go along, because I'm seeing what is possible for him to do.

3, 2, 3. Almost there.

3, 2, 4. Last one. 3, 2, 5. Great job.

No one will believe that your heart rate could go from 64 to 120 sitting in a chair.

I believe it now.

Got Pat behind you so you don't have to worry about going backwards.

You can trust in the weight, he's taking you back there. We're gonna pull this up here in

front of you and I'm gonna hold that here.

Alright, let's try this. Let's try this.

What do you do? What do you do to get up on this thing?

Are you putting your hands up here and helping you?

Well, a majority of the time this is what I do.

Tricep pushes to help get you up?

There you go! Okay, now we got that.

There we go, now try to take it down.

Don't worry about the chair, we got the chair steady.

Good, good, good, good, good, perfect!

So this is like squats. Alright? So you got the motion. Forget this part here.

We've got to do to that first. Eventually we'll get here.

He can make your heart raise without

you even doing it just by, just by his motivation man, you know.

He reminds me of being in the military.

Attention. At ease.

I don't want to take you to fatigue, because we've gotta get you

up and get you out of here. Alright? So, you tell me. Say okay D, I'm on the last

run (laughs). And I'll just do something, just some more -

I'm - I'm okay.

You're good? Okay making sure, making sure.

The biggest thing that I see in Jerry is this.

which is the fire in his eyes.

He never said no. He never said I can't do it. He kept working.

Give me a hell yeah!

Yeah, hell yeah!

Hell yeah. Hell yeah!

Pick it up. Hit it. Go.

Go back down. Go back down. Get the momentum. Oh, you're on that chair now!

(Laughs) Good rib.

Look how high you got though! Look how high you got though! Okay, um, I want to pull you.

Can I pull you up? Do you think you can do that?

Nope. Nope. That ain't gonna work. That ain't gonna work. Alright.

I don't want to blow you out. I don't want to blow you out.

Boy if you would have stood up with that one that would have been freaky though.

There you go, you got it Jerry. Come on, Jerry. You got it. Get the bar. Get the bar.

There you go. Beautiful! Arms out to a T.

Exhale, Hulk it up. Good. Exhale, sit back.

Awesome. Did I blow you up?

(Laughs) I blew me up!

But you know, when my hands are up like this right I'm more stable then when they're down here.

Right, okay okay.

Thanks man. Hey, you got it bro. We're gonna do it.

Look at this stud! His heart rate's already down to 73. Mine would still be like 95.

It's like the idea is when you finally learn how to ride your bicycle, you can ride

without no training wheels or nothing like that.

That's how this is.

Getting rid of these training wheels.

Here's What Happens When You Sleep - Duration: 10:32.

Brainy Dose Presents:

Here's What Happens When You Sleep

We go to sleep every night to recharge and prepare ourselves for the coming day.

But most people don't know what happens to their body while they sleep.

They tend to think of sleep as a restful, inactive and quiet time.

However, this is not quite the case… and if you've ever wondered what happens while

you're in la-la land, keep watching!

Here are 15 things that happen to you while you sleep.

Number 1 - Your Body Slows Down

When you sleep, some parts of your body, such as your immune system, go into overdrive.

The rest however, slows down.

Your body temperature drops, your blood pressure lowers, and your breathing rate goes way down.

Your brain waves slow down as well, with occasional sudden bursts, and your heart rate lowers

to a slow steady pace.

Even your kidneys slow down!

This is particularly important, because it keeps you from having to pee while you're

asleep.

This is why in the morning, you usually have to pee, and the color of your urine is so

dark.

Number 2 - You Become Paralyzed

You probably heard of sleep paralysis, but the body becoming paralyzed doesn't just

happen to people with this often frightening condition.

When we sleep, we hit a point of rest called REM, which stands for Rapid Eye Movement,

and it's the level of sleep where most of our dreams happen.

During this phase, your body becomes unable to move.

You freeze up, in complete muscle paralysis!

People with sleep paralysis just happen to experience this while they are still conscious,

which can be incredibly terrifying.

But why do we do this?

Apparently, to keep us safe.

Since dreams occasionally make us move around if they're particularly vivid, we could potentially

hurt ourselves.

To keep us from harming ourselves and others, our brain produces two strong chemicals which

mix together and send signals to our body to stop moving.

Number 3 - Your Eyes Move

As I just mentioned, during the REM stage your muscles become paralyzed.

However, during this part of sleep, there's a part of you that's always moving, and that's

your eyes!

The brain, during this area of rest, acts and looks like it's awake, even though you're

in deep sleep.

Your eyes also act like you're awake, and dart back and forth, moving and looking everywhere.

However, the whole time this happens, your eyelids remain closed, but others can actually

see the eye movement under your lids!

Number 4 - Your Sense Of Smell Stops Working

Again, when you're in deep sleep, certain parts of your body slow down, and even stop

working.

One of the things that stops is your sense of smell!

This means, that in the deepest parts of sleep, you won't notice if your partner lets a

stinky fart loose, or if something else starts smelling in the house…

Unfortunately, this can also have a potentially dangerous effect.

For example, if your house were to catch fire, your dreamy slumber might keep you from realizing

you're in serious danger.

This is why it's so important to test your smoke detectors regularly!

Number 5 - Your Throat Gets Narrower

While you sleep, the muscles of your throat relax, your tongue falls backward, and your

throat becomes narrow and "floppy."

As you breathe, the walls of the throat begin to vibrate - generally when you breathe in,

but also, to a lesser extent, when you breathe out.

These vibrations lead to the characteristic sound of snoring.

The narrower your airway becomes, the greater the vibration and the louder your snoring.

If you have issues with your tonsils or sinuses, the snoring gets even worse.

Number 6 - You Randomly Flail Around

When your body isn't kept paralyzed while you enter REM sleep, it sometimes likes to

move around.

And no, that's not just talking about sleep walking or sleep talking…

Instead, many people experience periodic limb movement as they dream.

This happens specifically when you're entering very deep sleep or dreaming about something

particularly vivid.

It results in sudden, uncontrollable flexing and retracting of your muscles, which makes

you flail and kick.

This can be particularly problematic for anyone sleeping next to you, and can result in bruises

if you're sleeping in a rather confined space.

Number 7 - You Are Jerked Awake

Have you ever felt like you were falling, or suddenly jerked awake for no reason at

all?

This is actually a natural and common part of falling asleep, and most of us have experienced

it.

The involuntary muscle twitches in our limbs or through our entire bodies are called hypnic

jerks or sleep starts.

And no one really knows what causes them…

Some believe that your body is preparing for the changes it will go through when you're

asleep.

While others believe that your brain confuses falling asleep with actually falling and tries

to keep you awake.

Number 8 - Your Brain Goes Into Cleaning Mode

Your brain is active both day and night, but sometimes it needs a little time to tidy up

the place, and sleep is the best time to do that.

Studies show that waste removal systems in the brain happen to be more active as you

sleep, particularly in REM sleep.

This means that the brain is better at clearing away toxic byproducts that might build up

and cause health problems.

During this time, your brain also sorts and stores information accumulated during the

day.

It tosses out things it believes we don't need to remember, and keeps what we do.

Number 9 - You May Hear Explosions

As strange as this sounds, some people hear explosions when they are asleep, like a crash

or a bang that sounds almost like a gunshot.

This condition has been named exploding head syndrome.

It is not a painful experience, but it can be extremely frightening.

It usually happens to people above the age of 50, as they are drifting off to sleep.

Number 10 - You Shed Your Skin

We don't shed our skin like snakes, but during the night, our skin does start to fall off.

Every night, your body continues to generate new skin cells, and old skin cells simply

fall off.

Every minute you sleep, you're losing tens of thousands of skin cells, which have to

go somewhere… and they often go into your mattress and pillow.

If you don't wash your sheets and pillows regularly, those skin cells can build up in

a pretty horrifying way.

It's even been estimated that one third of your pillow's weight is made up entirely of

your dead skin cells!

Number 11 - You Get Aroused

Throughout REM sleep, your brain is more active because you are dreaming.

Because of this, it requires more oxygen to work, and as a result, you end up with extra

oxygen flowing to all parts of your body, including your private parts!

Both men and women get aroused while they sleep, and studies indicate that your body

does this in order to prevent itself from going into a vegetative state, like a coma.

By reaching a state of arousal, your body ensures that it can reverse the effects of

sleep and actually wake up when it needs to, thereby maintaining some connection with the

real world.

Number 12 - Your Body Restores Itself

While you are in the deepest stages of sleep, your body produces a hormone known as the

human growth hormone.

This hormone is necessary for the growth of your muscles, bones, and tissues when you

are young; and then for repair and restoration once you stop growing.

So, there is some science behind the concept of beauty sleep!

Number 13 - You Get Taller Every Night

During the day, the pressures of the world weigh heavily on your shoulders.

Literally.

You have discs in your spine that act as cushions between bone pieces in your back.

During the day, they get slightly compressed by constant movements and the weight of your

body.

During the night, they rehydrate and decompress, making your spine slightly longer.

By the time you wake up, you'll have gained a little bit of height!

This is especially true if you like to lie on your side, as it takes the weight off your

back.

Number 14 - You Make Up Crazy Stories

Some people can't remember their dreams in the morning, while others wake up remembering

a bizarre sequence of events that often seem real.

Many dreams are based in reality, with elements of the person's thoughts or the events of

the previous day featuring prominently in what they dream about.

Some people even have recurring dreams, where they experience the same dream either in a

short period of time, or over several years.

Psychologists have offered several theories to explain why we dream, but so far there

is no consensus.

Number 15 - Sleep Texting

Sleep texting is the new sleepwalking, and it's a growing phenomenon in which people

(usually adolescents and young adults) send text messages while asleep.

Researchers say it's being classified as a parasomnia, putting it in the same class

of sleep disorders as sleepwalking, night terrors, and bed-wetting.

For many sleep texters, the disorder is just as embarrassing as all the rest, especially

when the recipient is anyone other than a trusted friend or family member…

Have you ever done this?

We're curious to know!

Also, are there any other weird things that happen to us when we sleep that should be

added to this list?

Creating a Wedding Vendor List: Should I Book My Own Vendors? - Duration: 4:07.

Hi nearly-weds i'm Susan Southerland and I'm guessing if you are here you're

probably planning a wedding. Well you're in luck because today we're gonna answer

the age-old question of, should I hire my own wedding vendors or should I trust my

wedding planner. For more answers to popular questions and to get all of our

wedding planning tips don't forget to subscribe below and hit the little bell

so you're notified whenever we post a new video. And that's every Wednesday! So,

should you book your wedding vendors on your own or should you trust your

wedding planner to help you with those decisions? Well Danielle and I are gonna

discuss the pros and cons to both sides so by the end of this video you're gonna

know everything you need to to make a good decision on your own. And if you stick

through until the end we're gonna give you a link for a download with a recap

of everything we discussed during the video so let's get started! So, Danielle

obviously there's so much more to what a wedding planner does than to just give

vendor information but it seems that one of our most controversial questions for

some reason is, you know, should I book wedding vendors on our own? Do

you guys get a kickback? What's the story with why should we listen to you versus

just researching on our own? So I wanted to kind of chat with you about that.

Absolutely and I'm so glad to be discussing this today because we do get

this question pretty often and over the course of this video

let us know what you think in the comments below. So we're gonna start by

talking about the pros and Danielle is actually the perfect person to do this

because, full disclosure, not only is she a wedding planner but she's getting

married! She engaged a - nearly wed and actually Danielle has

decided to kind of go off of our regular vendor list and explore some vendors on

her own. So let's talk a little bit about why you think that's a good idea and why

you did that. So booking your own vendors is great

because you are in charge, so if you're more of a type-a personality and you

don't want to delegate that task to your planner you can do that. Another great

thing is you can do all the research for your vendors so you can find the right

style for say your photographer or videographer things like that and of

course you can always hire your family and friends which is a great way to save

some money as well. Okay those are all really great points but I'm gonna come

at you for the cons now for my perspective. One of the things that

you said, of course, is that you're able to do all the research on your own, which

is great if you have time. We've had couples who have booked vendors

who have not turned out to be so great and later on they regretted not doing

more due diligence and trying to figure out who would be perfect for them and

they wound up being disappointed in the end. So in that regard, if you truly don't

have the time to commit to interview and check references that can be really

challenging and you should trust your wedding planner. Secondly, pricing - we

are often able to negotiate some really good deals with our vendors especially

if you're doing things on off-peak time. A wedding planner, when she uses a vendor

over and over again, can get with him and say, hey listen my client really needs a

break here what can we do to help make this more affordable for her? That's

another thing so you can save money that way.

And then finally, stress. I don't know why it is, and I think you'll agree with me,

all of our clients seem to be doing something really really hard when

they're also planning their weddings. They're going to medical school, they're

changing jobs, they're building houses, they're moving states. It's insane! I

don't know how they keep it all straight so you know taking the time to do that

research, go through the interview process, and contract negotiation while

you're doing all of that can really add to your stress levels.

I think the cons are valid but if you are type a like Daniel's type a and she

likes having that control to find her vendors, you know looking for them on

your own can be great adventure, but then if you want someone who can be more of a

guarantee and make things a little less stressful you probably want to stick

with what your wedding planner has to say. There you have it, you have our

arguments for and against either hiring vendors on your own or using your

wedding planner to book your vendors, but we want to know what you think if you

have any thoughts about anything that we had to say please make sure to leave us

a comment in the comment section below, also you can hit the download that's

located in our description which is going to give you a recap of both our

arguments and probably a few additional tips, and as usual if you could subscribe

hit the little bells so you get notifications, and be sure to share this

channel with your friends and I'm so glad you're here today Danielle thank

you so much for shedding some light on this topic and we will see you in the

9 Content Optimization Tasks You Can't Forget About - Duration: 5:46.

- Hey everyone, Jason Case here with another video.

And today's video is on nine content optimization

tasks that you can't forget about.

So content optimization is very important,

because you spend so much time creating the content,

but once you publish it if you don't optimize this content,

then you won't be ranking in the search engines,

you're going to provide possibly a poor user experience.

So it needs to be optimized for that user experience,

so you can strike engagement and so forth,

generate leads, generate sales.

So, there is much more that goes into it

once you create this content.

You need to optimize this for user experience,

and search engines as well.

So, that's what I want to cover in today's video.

I would suggest creating a checklist

that you can follow every time

that you publish a new piece of content

and follow these guidelines.

So, number one, keyword research.

Yes, keyword research is still important.

And I should add to this, topic research.

So, topic research, keyword research,

but keyword research you're going to have the data behind it,

behind the search volumes.

But once you start going after

a lot of the keywords in your industry,

then you can just start going after specific topics,

creating a lot of content around specific topics

and this will help too.

But when you first start

you need to do your keyword research.

And understand this, this is still very important.

Number two, create Global CSS styles

that make your content easier to read.

So you don't want to

always have to like, create specific styles for your content

every time that you publish a new post.

So what you need to do is create a Global CSS style

that works for your entire site,

and then this way it just snaps into place

once you publish the content.

You'll save a ton of time.

Number three, incorporate images into your content.

This is super important.

You should have guidelines that you follow when you

create new content and how many images that you add

based on the length and so forth.

So, whoever's publishing your content has again,

like a checklist to follow,

and guidelines to abide by.

Number four, optimize these images for fast load times.

So if you're loading super high resolution images,

then this can bog down the site speed,

bog down the page speed of that post.

You need to optimize these images so they load super quick.

Number five, use ALT tags for all of your images.

So, ALT tags is alternative text

that you use for a image.

It helps describe the image, if the image doesn't load.

So, this is important for SEO purposes too.

Number six, use heading tags for the main title

and subheadings on the page.

So, your main title should probably be your H1 tag,

and then, all of your other subheadings, could be like,

H2, H3 tags, and so forth.

So, make sure you incorporate those heading tags.

Number seven, always add a unique meta title

and description.

This is super important.

I see so many blogs and websites kind of overlooking this.

This is something that you need to add

because this is what shows up in a search engines.

And this is what makes it compelling for somebody

that searches a keyword or searches a topic

and your page pops up,

this is what makes it compelling for the person

to click on your page versus someone else's.

So its title and description that shows up

on these search results.

So customizing these for each page is super essential

for your search engine optimization efforts.

Number seven, always add,

oh sorry, I just talked about that.

Number eight, add internal links to other related content

on your site.

So this is super important too,

because you want to keep people engaged on your website.

So, providing internal linking

helps for search engine optimization,

because the bots can crawl easier

and crawl through your site

and understand what content's related to,

you know, other content.

But this helps with user engagement and keeping people

on your site longer.

Reducing the bounce rate and so forth.

So make sure that you have links to other related content

so that you can easily navigate and find this content.

Number nine, add content upgrades to your blog posts.

So, the whole reason of creating content in the first place,

is to generate more sales, right?

Generate more leads.

Well, if you don't have a call to action on this content,

then your kind of defeating the purpose of everything.

So, creating content upgrades is a very great way

to try to generate these leads so,

you give away a lot of good

in-depth content on your blog post,

but give something that aligns with this content,

that requires them to provide their email address

to get this and then that way

you can get them on your email list

and then start them with email nurture campaigns

and then eventually convert them to a customer down the road.

So, either way, that's it for today's video.

If you need help with any of this,

feel free to reach out.

This is what we do.

That way you can stay focused on running your business

and we can do what we do best,

and that's help grow your business.

Take care everyone, and we'll talk tomorrow.

Samantha Mears: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 12:30.

Samantha Mears: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

A 19-year-old Montana woman is accused of breaking into her ex-boyfriend's home, hiding until he came home and then raping him while holding a machete, authorities say.

Samantha Mears was arrested June 22 on several charges, KTVQ-TV reports.

The man told police that when he arrived home, he found Mears hiding in his house.

As she held a machete, she ordered him to get on the bed and remove his clothes, the news station reports.

She then took off her pants and climbed on top of him, "engaging in intercourse," while still holding the machete, police said in court documents.

The man told police he felt he could not leave the room without being hurt by Mears.

He was eventually able to escape and called 911.

The victim took pictures of Mears holding the machete while on his bed before police arrived, according to KTVQ.

The incident occurred in Great Falls, Montana.

Mears was charged with aggravated burglary and assault with a weapon, both felonies, along with several misdemeanors, including unlawful restraint, partner/family member assault and two counts of criminal mischief, online records show.

It is not clear if Mears has hired an attorney and she could not be reached for comment.

Mears Bit Him on the Arm, Ripped a Piece of Trim Off the Wall & Urinated on His Bed, Police Say.

Samantha Mears broke into the victim's house on the night of June 22 while no one was home, according to court documents obtained by The Smoking Gun.

Great Falls Police officers were dispatched about 11 p.m.

for a report of a disturbance.

The victim told police Mears had entered the home while the victim, identified as S.D., was at the gas station and the rest of the home's tenants were elsewhere.

When the victim returned home, he noticed a few things out of place, he told police.

"Mears then emerged from behind the bedroom door, approached S.D.

from behind and held a machete up to his neck," the court document states.

"Mears then ordered S.D.

to get on the bed and remove his clothes.

S.D.

complied with her demands out of fear for his safety.

S.D.

told me that he did not feel he could leave the room at this time or he would be hurt.".

The victim told police that when he was on the bed, "Mears removed her pants and crawled on top," of him.

"S.D.

told me that he engaged in intercourse with Mears after he had become aroused by seeing her without any under garments on.

Once S.D.

had ejaculated, he attempted to push Mears off of him to end the intercourse.

Mears then bit S.D.

on the left arm and continued having sex with him until he was no longer erect.

S.D.

had a (bite) mark on his left arm consistent with being bitten by another person.

S.D.

told me that Mears held onto the machete during the intercourse.".

The victim told police Mears then sat on the bed, "still armed with the machete," with her back against the wall.

He then took photos of Mears in that position, police said, which were given to officers.

"Mears and S.D. then began to argue.

During the argument, Mears ripped a large piece of trim off the wall … Mears then intentionally urinated herself while sitting on the bed.".

According to court documents, the victim then heard his sister enter the house.

He texted her and told her to leave.

As the victim and Mears continued to argue, the victim called 911 but pretended to be calling a man named "Doug," so he would not alert Mears that he was actually calling for help.

He was then slowly able to back to the door and escape from the room while Mears was still armed with the machete.

He then grabbed his sister and they fled from the home as officers arrived.

She Was Accused of Strangling Her Ex During an Incident in April.

Mears was charged with strangulation in an incident involving the same victim in April 2018, according to the Great Falls Tribune.

Mears was accused in that case of grabbing the victim's hair and hitting him in the face.

He told police he was able to get Mears off of him, "but was hesitant about physically protecting himself, as he thought he would get into legal trouble if he did," the Tribune reports.

He told police the argument continued and Mears began strangling him by pressing her thumbs on his windpipes.

After police arrived at the June 22 incident, Mears told police she was the victim, according to court documents obtained by The Smoking Gun.

"Mears told me that S.D.

had kidnapped her then given her a machete to protect herself," an officer wrote in the arrest report.

"Mears then told me that she and S.D.

had consensual intercourse.

Mears was not making much sense and would often ramble on in her answers with information that did not even pertain to my questions.".

She was released on her own recognizance after being arrested in that case.

Some Have Questioned Why Mears Was Not Charged With Rape or Sexual Assault.

While Mears is facing several serious charges, some on social media have questioned why she was not charged with rape or sexual assault.

Prosecutors and police have not commented about whether the investigation is ongoing and if those charges could still be brought.

They have also not said why she was not initially charge with rape or another similar charge, such as sexual intercourse without consent.

CTIA Text Message Marketing Compliance | STOP Messages - Duration: 2:23.

Hi, Derek Johnson with tatango.com.

And today I'm talking about what needs to be included in a text message when a consumer

replies to any of your shortcode messages with the word "Stop."

Now, it's given that when someone replies "Stop" to your text messaging campaign, you

should unsubscribe them from the campaign.

But what do you send back in return to the consumer?

So let me review that.

So a shortcode is a five to six digit phone number that is used by brands to communicate

with their customers.

So when a consumer replies "Stop" to your shortcode, it's essentially telling the brand,

"Please, do not message me anymore."

So in the text message that gets sent back to the consumer, there's two things that are

required.

First is the brand name.

So you wanna start off with you know, who was sending the text messages to the consumer.

And then you need to tell the consumer that they've been unsubscribed and they will not

receive future text messages.

You can word this whatever way you want, but essentially it needs to say that...it needs

to give confirmation to the consumer that they're not gonna receive future text messages.

Now, one thing we recommend is at the very bottom of your stop response is to include

instructions on how to resubscribe to the campaign.

So in this case, we put "To resubscribe, reply JOIN."

And "Join" would be the SMS keyword that would trigger an opt-in to the SMS campaign.

The reason we recommend this is we found a lot of people here at Tatango, they just like

replying stop to see what will happen.

And if you don't have the instructions on how to resubscribe, then the consumer is sitting

there not able to opt back into the campaign, which is never good.

If a consumer wants to opt-out, you wanna get them out of the campaign and unsubscribe

them as fast as possible.

But if they wanna opt into a campaign, you have to make it easy for them to do that.

So that's what to put into a text message when a consumer replies "Stop" to your shortcode,

in addition to actually unsubscribing them from future text messages.

Budgeting For Beginners (BUDGETING 101) - Duration: 6:50.

Struggling with finances and being on a vicious cycle can be extremely stressful.

The main reason why this happens is because people don't budget.

But on this video, you'll learn how to budget successfully and start today.

Make sure you stay tuned till the end because I'm going to give you the most important thing

you need to know about budgeting.

For the best advice on side hustles, budgeting, and more, be sure to subscribe to my channel,

and hit the bell to be notified when I post a new video every Wednesday.

Not having the finances to do what you want can take a toll on you.

Trust me, I know.

But with these budgeting tips, I was able to pay off my car, pay off my credit cards,

and also save money to move cross-country.

Here are the five things you need to know about budgeting.

The first thing you need to know is what budgeting actually means.

Well, let me break it down to you nice and easy.

Budgeting is when you decide you want to spend less than what you make each month.

The benefits of budgeting is that you're way more organized.

This is especially awesome when tax season comes around.

You just basically have to submit your paperwork because you've already done the hard work

of listing everything for your tax attorney or tax person.

You also pay off your debt faster, and you can also invest in your future.

If you want to open up a business, invest in your education, or even start building

your retirement fund, you'll be able to do that with no stress.

This is something I wish I would have known as a kid because growing up, the budgeting

doesn't seem like the cool to learn how to do.

But, little do you know that it's going to basically affect you for the rest of your

life if you have bad habits with spending money and not saving it for emergencies, learning

how to build your credit, and things of that sort.

Which brings me to my next point.

Out of curiosity, did your parents teach you how to budget?

If so, just comment, "Yes" or, "No" below.

The second thing you need to know is why budgeting is important.

The reason why budgeting is so important is because it helps you take control of your

finances.

Let's face it, prices on everything, from food to housing, to college tuition, is rising

all the time, which leaves you with very little room to be careless with your money.

To get started, the first thing you have to do is write down your monthly income after

taxes, and also jot down your monthly expenses.

If you don't usually keep receipts, you can just go back to your bank statement, or you

can just write a rough estimate because it's just going to be for that first month.

Now, moving forward, you're going to be more aware of what you spend so you can always

adjust that later on.

You can use a notebook, Excel sheets, Google sheets, or a budget planner to do this.

The third thing you need to know about budgeting is how to break down your expenses.

I know that I had mentioned that you have to write your monthly expenses.

But when you do write them down, I suggest that you do it in this form because it's going

to be a lot easier for you every month.

I break down my expenses in two categories.

The first is fixed expenses.

This is rent, phone bill, anything that is going to be due on a consistent monthly basis.

The other category that I put them in is variable expenses.

Variable expenses are expenses where the amount usually changes every single month, so like

grocery shopping, gas, clothes shopping, going to the movies, restaurants.

It's going to sting just a little bit, but I promise it's going to worth your time, totally

your time.

Because now you're going to get to take control over your money.

How cool is that?

Sorry, I got a little too excited.

Now, it's your turn.

If you can please comment below and tell me, when did you realize you needed to start budgeting?

The fourth thing that you must know about budgeting is that you must monitor your spending.

Let me give you an example so that you can understand when you're overspending.

All right.

Let's say that your monthly income is $3500, but your expenses are $3000 a month.

That means you're not overspending.

You have an excess of $500 that you can either pay off your bills with or put in a savings

account, right?

If your monthly income is $3500 but your expenses are $4000, then that means you're overspending

by $500, and you need to take a look at your budget to either adjust it or cut a few things

off that you may not deem very necessary and you can live without.

Now that you've written down your monthly income, you've written down your expenses,

and now you know whether you're overspending or underspending, now it's time for you to

decide how much you want to save per month.

This is going to be something that's very important because it's going to decide your

monthly budget.

Let me give you an example.

For me, what I did was automatically deposit 30% of my paycheck into my savings account.

The reason why I did it so aggressively is because I had a timeframe and I knew that

I wanted to move to Los Angeles.

What did that mean for me?

No more partying, no more going to the movies, no more eating out at least for a while.

But it felt so good when I met my goal and I was able to move cross-country and not depend

on anyone financially to do so.

With that said, most people, what they do is they start with 5-10% and putting that

away in their savings account.

It really is up to you, like what your goals are, what your timeframe is.

Ready to hear the most important thing you need to know about budgeting?

The most important thing you need to know about budgeting is that you have to make a

budget every single month.

You cannot rely on doing it once and assuming that that's going to be your budget for the

rest of the year.

There are so many things that can happen along the way.

Maybe you are done paying a credit card bill and now you can adjust your budget to maybe

save up more money, or maybe you just want to buy something that you didn't have the

opportunity to do so because you were busy paying off that credit card first.

There are so many variables to it.

If you really want to succeed at budgeting, then you have to, have to, have to, I don't

know if I emphasize this enough, you have to make sure that you budget every single

month.

It's also going to make sure that you're set up to succeed and make sure that everything

is running smoothly.

I think that the first month is always the hardest because your guesstimating what your

expenses are since you didn't previously save your receipts and didn't really have a lot

of numbers to go by.

But, as you move along, it's going to be so much easier for you.

Just give yourself some time and check with yourself every once in a while, and really

think, "Do I really need to go out to this restaurant today?"

Now you know exactly why budgeting is important and how to get started.

If you also want to learn how to make more money fast so you can add to your savings

account, then go check out my last video, where I talk about easy side hustles.

If you like this video, please let me know by liking it below, subscribe, and share it

with your friends, and comment with the word, "Ready" if you are ready to take control of

your money.

Thanks again.
