Waching daily Jun 27 2018

Hey guys Ryan here at signature edits, and I want to share a really quick trick

that is going to save you a ton of time when you're working with adjustment

layers inside of Lightroom. Ready? let's do it! So I've got this photo of some

beautiful horses here and let's say I want to make them just jump up from the

background a little. Well I can go to my adjustment brush here and I can select a

nice brush preset that I've got. This is from the genesis pack if you're

interested, if not you can always make your own. You get the point -

this brush basically has some slight adjustments on many multiple sliders

okay so I can paint on top of these horses here and you'll see that they'll

pop out just a little bit we're adding some contrast a little bit of clarity

little D haze saturation that sort of thing

now let's say I make this adjustment and then I decide hmmm I want it to be

stronger well that would normally require me to go to

all of these little brushes and one at a time take them up down just sort of

magnify the effect right and it's not gonna be perfect or pretty or fast it's

going to take me a long time and it's really finicky it turns out there is a

way faster way to adjust the intensity of a brush or an adjustment layer inside

of Lightroom ready all you have to do is go to where your adjustment drop down

normally is and look at that triangle just to the right click that triangle

and it's going to collapse the whole panel awesome now you can see we've got

an amount slider that we can drag to the right or left to either decrease the

intensity or increase the intensity whatever we need and it's going to

adjust all of these independent sliders all at once equally how awesome is that

the best part is it actually applies to all of the adjustment brush adjustment

layer tools all you have to do is go to your radial filter to find this out go

to our radial adjustment layer and let's say that I want to just go down here and

say add some D haze darken okay let's say that this effect is not near intense

enough for me because I want it to be super dark and moody well all I have to

do is drag that amount slider up and just like that we have magnified the

effect or let's say I want it to be super subtle I can drag it all the way

down same goes for your gradient graduated filter you drag that down from

the top and let's that I want to just now what can we do

here let's do a Sun flare because why not and let's say that I want that to be

more intense well I could try and do it manually like that or I can hit this

little collapse window and I can drag that up or down depending on how intense

I want the effect to be really cool saves a ton of time and I hope it helps

you the way it's helped me all right take care don't forget to Like subscribe

and leave me a comment if you knew about this why didn't you tell me sooner I'll

see you in the next one take care

Cyberpunk 2077 - Combat in the Lore - Duration: 10:46.

Greetings Earthlings! Welcome to the MadQueen show!

I am your host the Madqueen

On today's menu, we have a new Cyberpunk 2077 video for you and today, we're going

to talk about combat according to the lore

To be honest I never thought about making a combat in the lore video because I more

or less took for granted that everybody understood how pen and paper roleplaying games work in

general, and even more, how they are usually played, and I tend to forget that people tend

to forget that video game RPGs are based on the mechanics of pen and paper RPGs, and when

I did the video reviewing the combat in the demo of Cyberpunk 2077 I got a lot of comments

and questions regarding how combat works in the lore

If you didn't watch the review video, you can find it here and you will also have a

link in the description

The thing is that combat has always been a very important part of pen and paper roleplaying games

No matter if you play D&D, Vampire, Cyberpunk, Mage, Werewolf, one of the zillions of games

based on the Gurps system, even the fucking paranoia, combat always is a very important

and long part of the sourcebooks, there are exceptions, like Call of Cthulhu, that in

the end you could only die or go crazy, or Vampire Elysium where you were so powerful

that instead of going to combat you sent your own army, but in general combat is a very

important part of the game, and in the case of Cyberpunk 2020, only counting the basic

sourcebook, we're talking about 50 pages dedicated to combat alone, not counting supplements,

that were divided between physical combat and combat in the net

Also the way of playing it, it always depends on your game director, indeed, but I never

knew a single roleplaying squad that didn't play brutal combats

And I don't only mean in Cyberpunk, I mean in general

I also know that my squad is particularly savage, we could make an insanely brutal mess

in a roleplaying game of Heidi, but I understand that we may be a little on the cyberpsycho

limit, but in general, comparing to other roleplayers around the world that I know,

and in here I'm talking about pen and paper roleplayers, not video games and not live

action, the level of savagery is fairly high and this level of savagery never implied and

inch of carelessness for the interpretative part of the game which, obviously, is the

most important part in a roleplaying game

Obviously, like I said before, the way of playing a combat depends on the Game Director

and the dynamic of the squad, so there could be exceptions to that, but as far as I know,

they are exceptions

We roleplayers have a bad name for a reason

Regarding the specifics of Cyberpunk 2020, the combat rules, like in any other pen and

paper roleplaying game, only rule the mechanics per se, the way of playing it, the "visuals"

of the combat is something that is described by the world building of the game you're playing

And Night City is a very savage place

In here I'm going to center what I'm going to explain in the combat of the physical world,

not in the net, because we don't know yet how the net is going to be, I'm taking for

granted that the net is going to be in the game, because not putting it would be

HERESY

But the mechanics of the netrunning combat

in the lore changed and evolved, personally I'm putting all the candles in the world,

including the ones I lighted in The Witcher 3 when I was trying to loot, to all the saints

I know for CD Projekt RED to use the netrunning combat on 3rd edition, but I believe the candles

thing only work if you're Christian

Well, like Christians I also have an imaginary friend

But as far as we know, third edition of the Cyberpunk pen and paper game is mostly discontinued

for Cyberpunk 2077 because it wasn't very well received back in the day, and although

in general I do agree with this decision, and agree with the reasons why it wasn't

well received, the third edition improved netrunning combat and turned a very slow and

boring combat that made you hate the netrunner of your squad into one of the most badass

things in the fucking universe, so if we finally see this third edition rules in the game which,

honestly, I don't think is going to happen, then you and I will talk about constructs

and you will understand why

the why of everything

But back to the building, combat in the real world

As I said, combat rules are specifics about the mechanics, and the mechanics of 2020 are

thought to be less Hollywood-esque than other pen and paper games, mechanics that obviously

in the case of Cyberpunk 2077 need to be adapted to a video game, because pen and paper is

turn-based, but, again, the brutality of the combat is not given by the rules of the mechanics

but by the world building

So, in this case, are based on how Mike Pondsmith described the life in Night City

And the essence of the world is something that is very clear in the first pages of the

2020 sourcebook, page 3 to be more precise, with a sentence that, if you watch my videos

you heard me quoting more than once, and that literally says:

"The world of Cyberpunk is a violent dangerous place

filled with people who'd love to rip your arm off andeat it"

The words "violent" and "dangerous" can be seen in any official description you

see about the Cyberpunk 2077 video game, so I can guess that you can guess how the combat

in a "violent" and "dangerous" place should be

In general, the original lore, which CD Projekt RED seems to be recreating very faithfully,

demands that the combat in Cyberpunk 2077 is violent and savage, unless you think that

chopping arms and legs off to sell as spare parts is pretty calmed, in that case, I would

strongly suggest you go to therapy

Some believe that being an RPG, the combat parts of the game are not important and every

time I read that I think, that's how used we are to developers being so lazy?

You start allowing that, and then the next thing is microtransactions

Oh, wait.

And for the slower people of the class, obviously this joke doesn't go for CD Projekt, we know

there are no microtransactions in Cyberpunk

I heard CD Projekt RED developers, you'll find the interview in the description, comparing

Cyberpunk 2077 to God of War in terms of wanting the game to be seamless because both games

avoid loading screens, in the case of God Of War you had a loading screen if you died,

in the case of Cyberpunk they can, for instance, put an animation of the Trauma Team getting

you back on your feet if they want to avoid loading screens in case of death

But the thing is that God of War is not seamless because it doesn't have loading screens,

that's only a part of their seamless-ity

God of War is seamless because all the game

has the same quality, no matter if you're in a cutscene, in combat, doing a puzzle,

it doesn't break immersion because what you see is always the same, and you knew the

cutscene was over because of the pose of Kratos, and honestly more than once caught me off

guard, like, wait, wait, when was the cutscene over?

And that is the difference between a game that is good enough and a fucking awesome

game, people praised God of War with a lot of reasons, because the game is fucking amazing

Because developers understood that there's no part of the game that is more important

than other, if you want the experience to be immersive it has to be immersive always

and they won't settle for less

Is not about lowering the quality of one part to make it similar to the rest, is rising

the quality of the parts that tend to be forgotten

And, yes, for the slower people of the class, I'm not comparing the combat of God of War

to the combat in Cyberpunk 2077, I'm talking of a very different thing in here

So, in a nutshell, I hope I explained myself clearly on the reasons why I believe that

combat is a very important part of a game, even if it's an RPG

Seriously, you should play more pen and paper games

They're awesome

Well, folks, thanks for watching

I know there are an insane amount of things to talk about regarding the demo we saw at

E3, I don't have more hands and some of you are getting impatient, don't be, we

will scrutinize every small detail of the demo in parts, combat is one part, but there's more

See you in next videos and stay being amazing

Gut Health May Impact Your Mental Health - Duration: 3:34.

The scientific community is more than ever convinced that the mind and body are more

intertwined that we once thought.

Research has found that the gut, which is also termed GI tract is not just a part of

our digestive system but is something that is considered to be our second brain.

When I heard this, it made total sense to me, because I don't know about you but when

I feel things, I tend to feel them in my stomach first and foremost.

1.

It turns out that our brains and gut are constantly communicating with each other via something

called the brain-gut axis.

They communicate via neurotransmitters, nerves and even our immune system.

The wide variety of neurotransmitters used are responsible for some of the feel good

hormones that make you feel good such as: oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine.

Not only can these hormones make you feel good but hormones such as gaba can help you

feel relaxed while norepinephrine can help you to focus.

It's said that 90% of ones serotonin and 50% of dopamine starts at our guts.

What does that mean?

That a lot of your emotional well-being might just start in your gut.

2.

Since the brain is in contact with your immune system, it receives constant signals about

how you feel.

Why would you care about that?

Because if something is off with your gut, it might be sending signals to your brain

that cause you to feel anxious or even depressed.

This scenario can also decrease the production of chemicals that reduce inflammation.

That can impact how you feel emotionally.

That's why it's no surprise that one particular study showed a 30% greater brain inflammation

in those with clinical depression.

The worse the inflammation, the worse the symptoms.

So what can you do to have a healthier gut?

Eat a wide variety of plant-based foods.

Eat more fibre.

Add more olive oil into your diet.

Take prebiotics and probiotics.

Prebiotics are non living ingredients that feed the good bacteria in our gut.

These can be found in: onions, asparagus, bananas, apples, cabbage, artichokes, flax

seeds, garlic and beans.

On the other hand, probiotics are living friendly bacteria that is found in foods such as yogurt,

cheeses, kefir, miso, tempeh, sauerkraut, chicory root and kombucha.

Prebiotics been shown to reduce anxiety at the same level as anti-anxiety medication.

Other studies have shown certain probiotics in yogurt can positively alter brain function.

The last thing you can do is manage your stress levels.

High stress levels can negatively impact the healthy bacteria in your gut.

This can cause inflammation which can then lead to anxiety and depression.

We all live much more stressful lives than ever before which is why it's really important

that we get a handle on our emotional well being.

That being said, be on the lookout for my upcoming MyMindTime website which is focused

on not only helping you to de-stress and relax but is also focused on helping you to be the

best version of you possible.

I will be launching with my Mindful eating & weight loss program and after that, I'll

be adding other programs for topics such as boosting one's self confidence and overcoming

trauma.

Trump: Immigration policy should just be 'you can't come in' - Duration: 2:29.

Trump: Immigration policy should just be 'you can't come in'

President Trump reportedly said on Tuesday that the country's immigration policy should simply be: "You can't come in.

"It's so simple.

It's called, 'I'm sorry you can't come in,' " a Bloomberg News reporter quoted the president saying to congressional members on Tuesday.

The reporter also said the president told members of Congress that the United States's current immigration policy is a "hodgepodge of laws.

Trump's remarks arrive shortly after the Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling to uphold the president's travel ban, saying Trump has broad discretion to suspend people's entry into the country.

When asked by reporters if he plans to move forward with the travel ban, the president reportedly said: "Of course.

" The Supreme Court is the "final word.

The Trump administration's travel ban policy has been met with opposition from both sides of the aisle.

Democratic Reps.  Keith Ellison (Minn.

) and André Carson (Ind.

), who are Muslim, slammed the ruling on Tuesday, in conjunction with other Democratic lawmakers.

Rep.  Carlos Curbelo (R-Fla.

) also spoke out against the Supreme Court's decision and urged the Trump administration to end the "misguided" policy.

Knee Pain: Four Things You Should Do and Things that Are Better to Avoid - Duration: 9:21.

Knee Pain: Four Things You Should Do and Things that Are Better to Avoid

Knee pain can appear at any age.

It's not associated just with osteoarthritis.

Sometimes, an awkward movement, a cartilage problem, or even a small cyst can cause it.

What's essential in these cases is to get a proper diagnosis and medical treatment suited to your needs.

The treatment received by an athlete as opposed to an older person with a more sedentary lifestyle won't be the same: the main thing is to be careful and always follow the advice of the experts.

However, it never hurts to use a home remedy or to take advantage of nature to improve your quality of life through the recovery period.

In this post ,we want to give you 4 good tips and 3 warnings that may help.

We encourage you to take note of them.

1, Rest: don't risk making the situation worse.

One of the biggest problems that we usually have with knee pain is listening to what our body is telling us…and doing it.

What it demands is rest.

Any overload or awkward movements will mean more pain and further damage the source of the problem: ligaments, meniscus, bone….

Yes, you may know that exercise is good.

You may also know that walking prevents many of these joint problems.

However, when you're already experiencing pain, it's pointless to force the joint.

Instead, you need to establish a reasonable period of rest.

Then, slowly start a recovery programme centred on swimming and physiotherapy.

Most importantly, don't go for a walk on rocky or uneven ground: there's a risk you could fall.

2, A natural remedy for strengthening your tendons.

Ingredients.

A cup of quick-cooking oats (150 g).

1 cup of water (250 ml).

A cup of pineapple juice (250 ml).

1 cup of orange juice (250 ml).

2 tablespoons of honey (50 g).

1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder (7 g).

Instructions.

This simple, tasty and nutritious remedy will help care for and regenerate your knee tendons.

The only thing you have to do is put all the ingredients in a mixer and make a smooth drink.

Then, pour it into a glass bottle.

Drink it in 3 shots: once in the morning, once at noon and once two hours before bedtime.

3, Apple cider vinegar and olive oil massage.

Apple cider vinegar is also very effective in relieving and treating knee pain.

Its "magic" is in its alkalizing effect and its ability to dissolve the build-up of harmful toxins around your joints when they're inflamed.

If you combine the vinegar with olive oil, you'll have a fabulous anti-inflammatory remedy.

To do this, the only thing you need to do is apply a tablespoon of Apple cider vinegar with a bit of olive oil on a cotton cloth.

Then, apply it to your knee with a circular massage.

You can repeat this 3 times a day.

4, Nettles and lemon juice remedy.

Ingredients.

8 tablespoons of honey (80 g).

1 litre of water. The juice of 1 lemon.

Instructions.

Nettle tea has always been a great remedy for treating inflammation and joint pain.

Something as simple as combining nettles with lemon juice produces a natural purifying treatment.

It's rich in vitamin C for regenerating cartilage and ideal for recovering, both physically and mentally.

To make this remedy, first make a good infusion with the nettles and half a litre of water.

Leave it on the heat 20 minutes and allow it to steep for 10.

After this time, strain the liquid and keep the infused water.

Finally, add the juice of one lemon and the remaining half a litre of water.

Drink it throughout the day.

3 things you should NOT do when you're suffering from knee pain.

Be careful with hot/cold therapy.

We've all heard that hot-cold therapy is very effective in reducing pain and inflammation.

However, we must be careful.

During the first 48 – 72 hours, it's best to avoid hot compresses.

After all, it may worsen the problem.

The best thing to do in the first instance is the following:.

Apply cold gel packs.

Apply a compression bandage.

Keep your knee rested with your leg raised.

Be careful with the shoes you wear.

If you suffer from knee pain on a regular basis, it's important to look at the kind of shoes you use or – more than shoes – your soles.

While your shoes are not a trigger for knee pain, it may exacerbate it.

It's best to go to a specialist to find out about the type of sole that would be suitable for your particular problem.

There are padded soles that soften the impact of the foot on the ground and can relieve knee pain.

Beware of ginger supplements.

You may know that ginger can be a medicinal root for reducing inflammatory pain.

However, you should remember two simple things before taking classic ginger supplements:.

If you're already taking prescription anti-inflammatory drugs, you'd best not combine it with ginger.

In addition, if you suffer from hypertension, we recommend that you avoid this plant.

Keep in mind that other medication may interfere with this kind of natural plant.

It's always better to consult a specialist.

- Violet from the Incredibles would be an amazing YouTuber.

She is kinda going through the teen adolescence phase

and that's something really interesting and important.

- Spider-Man.

- I think Spider-Man.

- Spider-Man?

- Yeah. - Could be.

- Peter Parker would be a great YouTuber.

- He would be an amazing YouTuber.

- Batgirl, because she's a total badass.

She'd have to reveal her identity

which is not really the protocol.

Nicki Minaj Claps Back At Cynical Fan: "Show Me What You Donated To Junior Sis?"

The tragic murder of Lesandro Guzman-Feliz has gripped the entire city of New York and called for the "Justice For Junior" movement.

So much so, that Twitter users have made it their raison d'être, calling upon celebrities to take up the cause.

One particular solicitation proved more hostile than expected, when Twitter user with the handle Sweeetdemon urged Nicki Minaj to get with the program.

The Tweet was ushered in response to Nicki posting about her efforts to financially aid XXXTentacion's family, a fundraising mission she undertook with Lil Uzi Vert.

The fan simply asked "How about #JusticeForJunior @nickiminaj," an irksome question yes, but one Nicki could have evaded had it not been for a seemingly defensive posture she's had to adopt towards her fans of late.

Nicki came for the fan, asking her why she didn't challenge Lil Uzi Vert to do the same, bringing up the question of black women not doing battle with one another, for the sake of racial harmony.

She said, "Only know how to get some likes in a comment section off other black women right sis?" Nicki then challenged the fan to show her what amount she had donated to the "Justice For Junior" movement, and only then would she feel obliged to speak on the issue.

Nicki Minaj is not taking any shorts.

Cardi B & Offset Host The Most Lit Baby Shower You Can Imagine - Duration: 3:41.

Cardi B & Offset Host The Most Lit Baby Shower You Can Imagine

Cardi B and Offset are more than capable of putting on a must-attend event.

The married couple came through drippin' at the mother-to-be's baby shower last night and Cardi did not go easy on the dancefloor.

Following Offset's secret marriage to the female emcee last year, the two are preparing for the arrival of their first child together.

This is Bardi's first hand at motherhood but luckily for her, Offset has a few kids from past relationships and is likely more than willing to show her the way.

While most baby showers can be dull, Cardi B's extraordinarily extra personality cannot allow her to take a break, going harder than ever with the planning of her party.

And a party it was.

Offset captured footage of the event for his Instagram story, which TMZ reposted, showing exactly what went down.

A lot of dancing, the hottest music, and even a "Bardi Baby Bodega" were highlights of the shower.

Celebrating her New York roots, Cardi couldn't go without featuring her own bodega during one of the most important moments of her life.

The rapper recently showcased her twerking skills with the world as she proved that a nine-months-pregnant body can still move with the best of them by way of an Instagram video.

Recently celebrating her hit single "I Like It" peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, Cardi has a lot to be happy about as she enters the final stage of her pregnancy.

Cardi's baby looks to be due any day now.
