Waching daily Jun 28 2018

hi I'm Mike and here for the last step of the high tunnel and claiming all the

glory is I'm not gonna claim all the glory today is actually our 10-year

wedding anniversary and I can't think of a better wedding gift than a completed

high tunnel well I'm excited 99% complete nikon so we're going to take

you through the last and hopefully the final steps of the high tunnel today on

our will my wife

welcome back to our Wyoming life the tunnel is 99% done I'd call it 99 95 95

percent done we're still waiting on the indoors we got to pick those up from

Bernards and get those installed and if you want to check that out we're gonna

have that coming up in the herd report you can sign up for that on our website

www.hiwayfx.com and but before planting I need to do irrigation I need to shape

beds with the BCS and I need to put irrigation down and then we can put some

stuff in the ground super late in the season but I think we'll still get a

small crop of tomatoes that's a big thing as the big pushes Tomatoes big

push tomatoes and cucumbers and peppers or what the priority is in the high

tunnel gotcha today we head into the final

stage of the high tunnel build and it all starts with a wiggle wire channel

this small one-inch channel will be all that holds the plastic on the high

tunnel over the course of one day it is all attached up and over the end of each

hoop securing it to the metal pipe by bending it over and attaching it with

tech screws this is actually one of the easiest parts of building the hole I

tell you just get a channel put it in place and screw it in keeping it all in

a straight line wiggle wire is what's going to hold all the plastic onto the

high tunnel it'll fit into this channel all the way around so now we have to

secure it to the side boards we installed a long time ago the easiest

way that I found to do this is to use a chalk line and snap a reference line

along the entire length of the ribbon board then screwing in the wiggle wire

channel for added security against the wind we're also going to install a

second row of will wire channel just below that we've learned a few things

from the first high tunnel build we did a few years ago and although the

manufacturer doesn't have a plan that follows our thinking we hope that this

will not only keep the tunnel from blowing apart again

it'll also balance some of the load of the plastic and the stress that can be

placed on it from rolling up the sides also as we get closer to the time of

plastic installation it's also time to start wrapping up some last-minute small

tasks like cutting off any excess on the end walls and smoothing out any rough

spots that might catch on the plastic as we pull it over and set it in place as

the Sun sets we call it a day the big day is tomorrow and we're expecting a

calm morning so we've made a few phone calls and gotten some help lined up in

the morning we'll put on the rest of the channel and be ready for plastic by 8:00

hopefully

this morning is a busy one the winds are almost calm which is exactly what we

need we're gonna be dealing with a piece of plastic that's 45 feet wide and 75

feet long the last thing we need is a wind or even a gust if that happens we

could be in big trouble the first thing that we do is get our plastic out and

under the Sun to warm up a bit the warm of the plastic is the more it's gonna

stretch and working with this is a delicate balance not only will it

stretch when it's warm it's also going to contract when it's cold and we don't

want it put it on too tight or too loose Aaron's out with me this morning as she

starts taping off any exposed bolts that might rub on plastic and tightens

anchors that hold the high tunnel in place using the BCS tractor I mowed down

some grass to prevent anything from poking plastic or preventing us from

sliding it along the ground as we pull it over the structure help arise

including neighbor Gary and our friends Nick and Stephanie plastic is unrolled

and we put it in place rope will be attached to the plastic and used to pull

it up over the entire tunnel four people will pull it over while others guide the

edges and make sure the plastic doesn't get caught on anything

utilizing a golf ball we wrap the plastic around it then we tie the rope

around that that helps so we're pulling against the golf ball and not just the

plastic the plastic is 12 mil thick now a human hair is 1 mil thick so this

plastic is about as thick as 12 human hairs and it's woven plastic it has

small fibers throughout the entire sheet this will hopefully stop any rips or

tears that may happen over time and it'll keep them from spreading as we've

dealt with in the past with regular plastic our window here might be a short

one so all the ropes are tied on and it's time to get this thing up and over

nice and smooth

as of right now there is nothing that's actually attaching this plastic to the

high tunnel and that's the next step putting on short sections of wiggle wire

spring-like wire that slips into the channel and uses only tension to hold

the entire top on when we first started messing with these high tunnels I really

didn't trust it but even though that we've lost covers I found that this

little piece of wire is still holding it's some tough stuff and you can really

tell how well it holds in if you ever have to take any out by working back and

forth we stretch the plastic out over the entire building and eventually work

our way around until all the plastic aside from the roll-up sides is attached

and tight for the roll-up sides a series of pipes are attached together and the

entire length is placed on the overhanging plastic then it's clipped on

our roll-up gearbox is assembled including the rollers that'll guide it

on the track the gearbox is fitted to the end of the roll-up pipe the track is

fitted to the tunnel and using a hook on a stick we can roll up the slides slowly

very slowly but for every problem there's a solution

roll up sides done although not straight yet that'll soon be fixed we can now

install our anti bill a rope that'll keep the roll-up sides in place that

prevents them from blowing out overall a successful day the only casualty the

remote control for the drone which was run over by the Gator a small price to

pay for a good long day I did break the drone well I didn't break the drone no I

broke the remote control for the drone luckily the drone was fine thanks to

Nick because he was smart enough to put the drone in the Gator but he didn't put

the remote in the Gator so no it's on the front of the Gator in kind of like a

blind spot I didn't see it and I had to buck it back to the shop for something

and ran over the drone your phone survived my phone did survived my phone

straps onto the room remote so it bounced off and flew off in the weeds

but the remote no anyway so that's it the high tunnel is done we're moving on

we've got Brandon coming up this weekend that is on Saturday we're gonna start

that about seven o'clock mountain time and we're gonna be live-streaming the

entire thing now that's gonna actually take the place of our Sunday video I

need to get a day ahead so I might needed like sleep or something we're

tired it's been late to get the cover on we still had a bunch of stuff that we

had to do that we we talked about in the video and which just it was a couple

late nights and the reason we rushed so fast is brandy and pain and we had a

great day with no wind and it was check the forecast and and we had to go so

it's been a few really long long days and late nights and not much sleep for

either one of us so yeah branding be sure you're there

for that we're gonna start up hanging probably the day after branding probably

on Sunday and we've got company coming in and little will they know that

they're gonna get put to work cuz we don't have time to it's so bad that

they're coming and we're gonna put them to work but at the same time it's like

such a blessing because there very capable and right these are some

friends of mine that are coming down from Montana old friends that grew up on

farms their farm kids so yeah I'm sorry it's your vacation but we're gonna we're

gonna do is actually they're ok with it I feel bad I don't want to make it sound

like I'm just like pushing them into it but they're they're gonna be fine

and Sam's coming back for branding Sam is gonna be here for branding and Hannah

is gonna be here for branding maybe we don't know yet but we do have some

returning faces so it's gonna be a lot of fun I hope you're able to join us on

Saturday you can float in and out the thing goes on forever

so don't think you have to sit there and watch it all it's like seven or eight

hours but yeah yeah tune in when you can we'll be trying to answer as many

questions as we can during branding I will be in and out of the house

answering stuff on the computer and Mike will answer stuff as it pops up on the

screen if you have time if I'm holding the phone it is gonna be done on a phone

with no Wi-Fi so it might not be the best quality yeah um the recap video

though will hopefully be a little better quality in the hard report so make sure

that you sign up for that herd report so you can get the branding recap yeah and

the doors when we get the doors but it right we'll have all that coming up so

thanks for hanging out with us make sure you subscribe hit that Bell notification

so that you get the notifications when we put out new videos because over the

next couple months it might be a little sporadic we don't know what's gonna

happen the next few weeks are gonna be really rough right paying you know

and I don't know I'm kind of I'm kind of on the fence about hanging I'm driving

around in a tractor in circles all day long I might actually have more time to

get stuff done we'll find out we can see if we can edit a video while we're

driving a tractor anyway thanks for hanging out with us today we will see

you again

we'll be hanging out as a big truck goes by we'll be hanging out Saturday morning

You Will Not Believed What Happened On This Flight - Duration: 8:51.

That second video clip was actually from a flight going from Toronto to Panama where

there was a bomb threat.

The first video clip was captured just on Tuesday and police was seen swarming around

this airplane because they believed that the airplane was being Hijacked.

Is this real life right now I would be freaking out and I wouldn't know what to do.

This took place on a Jetblue plane at JFK.

The Jet Blue pilot accidentally told air traffic control that his plane had been hijacked.

How do you mess that up.

The pilot was trying to tell the air traffic control that he was having radio issues but

he used the code signal a hijacking by mistake.

This lead police to board the plane people took out there cameras and they captured this.

This plane was flight 1623 from New York JFK to Los Angeles.

When the heavily armed police officers boarded the plane they started yelling for everyone

to put their hands in the air in case they had weapons or maybe a bomb.

The department of homeland security and the FBI were on the scene and they cleared the

situation with no security threat.

Everyone had to de-board the plane and hundreds of people were left stranded at the airport

trying to get to their destination.

For the pilot I wonder what happened to them this was a huge mistake that probably cost

millions of dollars because JetBllue probably had to refund everyone's tickets and also

it cost a lot to have the FBI and homeland security involved in a case.

Alright we have a pretty messed up story from the UK.

A news report came out stating that children are being denied mental health care until

they become suicidal than they will receive the care.

Even if the kids are psychopaths, or have been sexually abused apparently this is not

serious enough for the NHS to help out.

An experts said that the system is overstretched and disjointed.

I think this is one of the most messed up things ive read in a long time and I am hoping

that its not true.

Moving on, so I just watched the movie tag, it was a very funny and ridiculous movie.

At the end of the movie it revealed that the movie was based from a true story and I couldn't

believe it.

The movie is about literally grown men playing tag with each other and they have been playing

tag for decades and it always tags place for a whole month.

Take a look at this image this is the real group of men who has been playing the game

of tag where they would actually travel miles and miles and get onto planes just to tag

each other this all started back in 1990.

In 2013 Wall Street Journal actually wrote an article about this insane group of close

friends and this story really took off and everyone was talking about it and well you

guys know what happened next it actually inspired a movie.

Let me show you guys a video clip of the real people who inspired

the movie.

Also inspired from this movie was a woman who flew 4,000 miles to tag her friend.

Since we are talking about movies just quickly Deadpool 2 has just hit over 700 million dollars

worldwide.

The movie now becomes the 4rd highest rated title ever at the global box office.

Well here is a huge story.

A supreme court of justice just ruled 5-4 to make President Donald Trump's travel

ban to majority Muslim countries legal.

There was a huge debate about this and protests when President Trump brought up this idea

of banning some countries from entering America.

Well now it just became the law and there doesn't seem like anyone can do anything

about it.

So basically if your from Iran, Syria, Yemen, Soamlia and Libya just to name a few of these

countries you don't have a chance of visiting America right now.

I thought America was the land free.

I guess it's the land of the free if your not Muslim, Mexican, A Canadian who won't

let an officer look into their private phones.

The president took it to twitter to say this.

Supreme court upholds trump travel ban wow.

Right now the replies to his tweet are people asking about Saudi Arabia.

98 This person tweeted, How come Saudi Arabia isn't included on your ban?

5601 than you have this, yes, how come Saudi Arabia was not part on ban.

. how soon we forget or intentionally, 9/11 there were 19 hijackers, 15 citizens of Saudi

Arabia.

I wonder why.

Also right now there have been problems with hundreds of illegal migrant children.

Children are now allowed to be with their family members after being detained at the

American border.

But the problem is there are many kids who are missing, and officals can't locate the

parents to many of these children.

Also trump has more problems on his hands A Guatamalan woman wants to sue the president

because of how her little daughter has been treated.

She claims officials would abuse these children including her daughter.

In this lawsuit it states that while being separated, she was kept in a small room, she

was fed cold food and slept in very cold conditions this sounds like a prison system for little

kids.

As of right now the White House has not responded to this lawsuit.

From seeing all of these pictures online of these kids being held it doesn't look good

for the white house.

It really does look like these kids right were abused and there were in many violations.

But the question is can you even sue the president.

World cup news, there was a huge upset when South Korea beat out Germany.

This was totally unexpected because Germany was the last world cup champions and they

couldn't even score in this game it was 2-0.

Sweden beat out Mexico 3-0 Argentina won 2-1 against Nigeria.

The round of 16 is almost complete and so far i think Portugal has the best chance of

winning the whole thing.

I am curious though to see how Spain or Sweden does.

What do you think of this years world cup?

Alright keeping this video shorter than usually because we are actually going live in an hour

on most amazing top 10 so we have to set up

right now.

And by the time you watch this video we already went live so if you want to watch our live

show you can click the link down below and soon we will have a schedule set up for when

we stream to keep things consistent.

Thanks so much for watching this video and for all of your support.

I will see you guys actually next week because this is the long weekend for us up here in

Canada.

How to buy a house when you're young: Expert tips you need to know - Duration: 6:19.

Are you in your 20's or 30's looking to buy your first home? In this video we'll

look at how to buy a house when you're young, that's coming right up.

Welcome to Homebuyer's School brought

to you by Brookfield Residential.

Hi everyone I'm Karl Yeh, and welcome to another Homebuyer's School video, a

channel where you get the latest strategies tactics and tips from home

buying experts, and remember if this is your first time on this channel and you

want to get the latest strategies from the experts, make sure to hit the

subscribe button below hit the little notification bell so you don't miss

anything. Today I'm joined by Cory McDonald, community manager with

Brookfield Residential and the question we're gonna answer today is, how do you

buy a house when you're young?

There's a lot of great resources out there to help

inform young buyers it's not impossible, it's--there's a lot of programs in place

to help young buyers but you want to be informed talking to a really good lender,

we'll have a good discussion with them to break down exactly what you're

qualified for but maybe also more importantly what you're comfortable

paying because what you're qualified for can sometimes leave you house poor if

you're not comfortable with--you want to go out to dinner on the weekends or you

want to have enough extra money to have a social life as well and then getting

multiple opinions because each lender might be able to provide a slightly

different program for you as well on top of just the mortgage there's a couple

things that young buyers might be surprised about when purchasing a

brand-new home, there's some additional costs associated with the home that

might--you might not be fully aware of right off the bat. Property taxes that

are that are due on an annual basis would be one, each community is going

to have a slightly different property tax and you'd want to know exactly what that

breaks down to on a month-to-month basis on top of your mortgage payments. As we

discussed earlier there's also either residents association or condo fees with

a multi-family site that you'd be paying for on top of just your mortgage. Again,

this goes towards you either your utilities or insurance and maintenance

on the exterior of the home or general upkeep of the community or the parks in

the area but then you also want to be looking at if it doesn't include

utilities what your water bills is, what your heating bills are gonna cost you

on the month month basis, so having a good discussion with a lender

or with a brand new sales team they'll help break down maybe some of these

additional costs that aren't as easily visible when you're first looking at

just a mortgage payment on a new home.

Now we've covered questions that you

need to ask as a first-time homebuyer above, but is location and community

really top priority for young buyers in your experience or is it more of like--

is it more pricing that would be--that would be the lead factor?

That's a really interesting question

and I have to say that it depends on what the individual

is primarily looking for. There's no such thing as a cookie cutter buyer, each

person has a as a unique idea of what they want or a unique lifestyle they're

trying to fulfill with purchasing a brand new home so for some people a

community would be very vital. They want to have easy access to the downtown

core, they want to be close to specific schools or specific parks for some

people, yes they're very price driven so that might limit the communities that

they're able to go to or maybe being further away from the interior core to

accommodate a lower price point potentially.

Now you--I remember you

talked about making sure you are prepared right because obviously if you

were buying your second or your third or your fourth home you've had that

experience you know, you've gone through the ringer of all the processes

throughout the home for a home buyer right, but as a first first-time home

buyer in addition to research, what are some things that they should also do

like for example, talk to family members, talk to--how about Realtors right? What

are some additional things that young people need to be aware of?

I would agree with both of those. Having those conversations and taking your time

to have those conversations with family members that have purchased homes

before. Have mom and dad have their say and what you should be looking for as a

first-time homebuyer based on their experiences. We love working with

Realtors and I think there is definitely an asset in having their experience come

with you as well to narrow down the search of what you're looking for, the

prices you can afford in specific communities as well so there's plenty of

resources online, so different builder websites or even

you go to third-party surveys such as avid which is a third-party customer

service survey that new homebuyers would fill out so you get an idea of which

homebuyers are happier in which communities, in which with builders, so

getting a sense of where people are happier buying versus maybe they

haven't had the greatest experience.

So going off here your avid comment,

things like Google reviews, Facebook reviews as well you know, just to get a

sense of maybe which communities, which home builders are the best that you--that

would meet your needs obviously.

100 percent. There is a big difference in

different builders so if I was buying a home I'd want to probably go with one

that had a great reputation and a great priority on customer service.

Perfect and remember, as an additional resource watch these videos too. Do you

have anything else to add in terms of helping young homebuyers?

It's completely free to look,

it doesn't cost anything to look through show homes even when you're

looking with the realtor. There's no fees in just looking so it doesn't hurt to

take your time, go explore, come visit some show homes. If you end up buying

that's fantastic, if not there's no harm done either, so come out and have a look.

Perfect well thank you very much Cory, thank you very much to everyone for

joining us, the question I have for you is, are you a young homebuyer and what

experiences and questions do you have in terms of the home buying process? Let us

Earlier, I said you need to ask.

Let me clarify.

You don't always need to ask.

You always have permission to make your

short film, your work of art, whatever it is.

You do however, need to have permission to make it

a specific way.

Maybe you're trying to get a particular location,

use a certain camera,

get certain people involved.

You may not always be able to make it exactly how you initially envisioned,

but you always have permission to make it.

And the only one you need to ask is you.

But,

that's to make it or not.

To make it a specific way,

it's better to ask forgiveness than permission,

Eating is considered one of the pleasures of life, however, it is also at this moment that we can

choose good foods that will nourish our body and help us to maintain a good

Cheers.

But when it comes to making a good meal, not everything comes down to food choices.

Some habits that we usually do after meals can have a negative impact

in our body.

In today's video we will show 6 things that you should not do after a meal:

Drink tea This information may be new to you,

after all, some teas are very indicated to help improve digestion.

The problem is that teas contain compounds phenolics, which may inhibit absorption

the body.

However, if you like to drink tea after a meal, prefer those who have

properties that aid in digestion, such as green tea, alfavaca, sage, rosemary and

chamomile.

Smoke In fact, there is no good time for

smoke.

The cigarette has more than 4,500 substances toxins, which greatly increase the chances of

smoker to develop diseases.

Even with so much information use of cigarettes, there are people who prefer

light a cigarette after a meal.

Although there is no strong evidence, it is believed that smoking after eating can cause ulcerative colitis

and even worsen the picture of bowel syndrome irritable.

Take a nap After eating, that desire to take away

a nap, is not it?

Although it is an irresistible idea, sleeping after meals is a practice linked

directly to obesity.

In addition, full belly sleeping increases the possibility of reflux occurring, because depending

of the position you lay down, part of the juice gastric and food can come back and cause a sensation

of burning.

People who snore and go to sleep on stomach full, put enough pressure on the diaphragm,

Eat fruits Fruits are healthy foods, but the moment

in which you eat them is very important.

When you ingest a fruit after a meal, it tends to stay in the stomach digesting

along with the food, rather than down to the intestine to be processed.

During this time, it ends up decomposing in the stomach, which can cause gas.

Take a bath You may have heard that our

body needs good blood circulation to perform various tasks.

And with digestion is no different.

After a meal, blood circulation increases in the abdominal region, that is, our

blood is directed in large quantity to the to aid digestion.

When we take an immersion bath, like in the bath, beach or pool, the body in

contact with water diverts circulation from the blood to the extremities of the body

to stabilize body temperature and irrigate the muscles.

This process can dera- digestion, so the ideal is to wait

at least 1 hour before taking a shower like this.

Walk Just like fruits, walking can be bad

for digestion depending on the time in done.

Just after a meal, a simple walk can lead to acid reflux and indigestion.

But after 30 minutes, the walk becomes beneficial to digestion and may even

help burn extra calories.
