'The Wire' Creator David Simon After Annapolis Shooting: 'It Is Trump's Direct Language' - Duration: 1:57.

Veteran Hollywood writer David Simon took to Twitter Thursday and appeared to place blame for the deadly shooting at the Capital-Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland, on President Donald Trump

How to Wake Yourself Up in the Morning to be Productive - Duration: 6:27.

Hey guys! Success Senses here and if you want to wake up early and be more productive. I have 8 amazing tips to get started.

So let me run through the benefits real quick. You have better concentration, and a boost of productivity...

and a lot of successful successful people do this: Tim Cook, Michelle Obama, Kevin O'Leary and

If you know at least one of those people, you know that they're really successful.

So what time should you wake up? A lot of entrepreneurs say 5 a.m. But it really depends on your life

figure out what's best for you and

work work on your schedule so that if fits your lifestyle, so

Tip number one have a reason

You need to have a reason or else you won't wake up at all because what's the point of waking up?

so

To do this. You need to create a to-do list or schedule your day before you wake up.

I mean this reason could be like up to like an obligation like school or

just something personal like

you want to make videos.

Tip number two wakeup music

Wake up music makes you more energetic because everyone likes music.

I hope

and make sure your song is not to soothing. Make sure it's more like upbeat and

full of energy because you're gonna follow asleep if it's too soothing

Or maybe not. Try it out.

Tip number three

Get off your phone or computer before you sleep

This one's really difficult for me to do but

What getting off your phone does is get off

the fake sunlight-

It's not sunlight but your brain thinks it's sunlight and if you look at it through your phone or computer

It'll keep your brain away because your brain just thinks it's sunlight and it thinks it's daytime.

Entertainment will also keep you awake. So it'll keep those lingering thoughts in your head.

Sometimes it's just hard to see because

You're just thinking of stuff and that's because you're on your phone you're on your phone or your brain is still like thinking of stuff

and

Concentrated and stuff but you don't want when you're sleepy you want to be relaxed when you sleep

Tip number 4 is to nap less or just stop napping.

I love naps, but if you nap too long, it'll ruin your schedule.

So, if you really want a nap, just nap 20 to 30 minutes in the middle of the day for energy.

If you nap longer than that, you might run into the risk of

going to a deeper sleep and you wake up. You'll just feel groggy

The nap won't really really benefit you at all and also keep it to like 20 to 30 minutes is my recommendation

You can try out. Whatever works for you

So next tip is drink water

When you wake up

You're dehydrated because you haven't had water for like 8 hours

So if you wake up and drink water, you'll get hydrated. And what getting hydrated does is...

it keeps gets your brain awake and get your brain alert because the dehydration makes you tired so hydration

will make you not tired.

Simple like that. So drink water get a water bottle in your room and

Just drink it when you wake up

so for this next tip

It's waking up before entering the REM state

The REM state is the deepest part the deepest stage of your sleep cycle

And if you wake up during this stage, you'll feel groggy. So to prevent that

You sleep in ninety minute intervals

Which means that you'll finish

you finish the sleep cycle when you wake up and you won't wake up in the middle of this REM state

So a website I recommend is sleepyti.me and

You can use this to calculate when to sleep or wake up. So

use this use this website if you want to get started with this.

The next tip is taking cold showers. Cold showers will definitely wake you up.

If you go in a cold shower,

it'll just- it's like a punch to the face.

I know this is hard for some of you guys because you have people sleeping and maybe the shower is too loud. So

This might not be too practical, but if you can do it try it out.

So this isn't really a tip but it's like try it out you want

this is called polyphasic sleeping and

Polyphasic sleeping is different from the normal sleeping we do. We do monophasic sleeping, which is

Which is just sleeping for like eight hours straight

but some

Other sleeping cycles can require you to sleep multiple times during the day

So some alternate schedules

Which which some alternate schedules could be

Sleeping six hours and taking 20 minutes taking a 20-minute nap in the middle of the day

Or sleeping five hours with the 60 to 90 minute nap nap

This could cause this could cause sleeping disorders. So

try this out for a few days and if it doesn't work out then

then don't do it because

There's not much science to back it up yet, but some people vouch that it works.

And it might work for you, who knows?

So here's what you want to do have a reason

Have some wake up music

Get off your phones your computers before you sleep

Take less naps

Get hydrated by drinking water

And sleeping 90 int... sleep in 90 minute intervals

Take a cold shower

Utah Senator Mike Lee is a potential nominee to replace Justice Kennedy.

On Thursday, President Trump privately asked advisors what they thought about appointing Utah Senator Mike Lee to the Supreme Court as a replacement for Justice Kennedy, according to The Hill.

Earlier in the week, Kennedy announced his plans to retire on July 31, and President Trump immediately set to collecting a list of 25 names of potential replacements, all of whom are staunch conservatives.

According to The Hill, Trump believes Lee would easily be able to pass a Senate confirmation vote, which is necessary for nominees.

As for Lee, he recently told reporters that he was still interested in being named to the Supreme Court, should Trump choose to nominate him.

"I started watching Supreme Court arguments for fun when I was 10 years old.

So if somebody asked me if I would consider that, I would not say no," he told reporters, then added, "But the president's got a decision to make and I trust his ability to make it and make it well.".

Mike Lee is a staunch conservative, and an original Tea Party member.

Here's what you need to know.

He's an Untraditional Pick for a Supreme Court Justice.

According to Vox, the standard type of person that is chosen to be a Supreme Court justice is usually a legal scholar or a judge.

Lee is neither of those.

Rather, he was elected in 2010 as the 16th Senator of Utah, and has remained a senator ever since.

Though Lee is not currently involved in law, his background is filled with it.

According to his official government page, Lee graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, and was even the Student Body President his senior year.

Lee then went to BYU law school, and proceeded to clerk for several judges and justices.

Lee spent several years working with the law firm Sidley & Austin before deciding to make a foray into politics.

He Hasn't Always Been Trump's Biggest Fan, and Even Suggested the President Should Step Down at One Point.

Surprisingly enough, Lee has not been a profound supporter of Trump's political rise, both prior to Trump's election and after.

When Trump was running for office, Lee actively did not support Trump for a large portion of his campaign, even going on a massive rant about Trump to NewsMaxTV host Steve Malzberg.

Lee said, "Hey look, Steve, I get it.

You want me to endorse Trump.

We can get into that if you want.

We can get into the fact that he accused my best friend's father of conspiring to kill JFK.

We can go through the fact that he's made statements that some have identified correctly as religiously intolerant.

We can get into the fact that he's wildly unpopular in my state, in part because my state consists of people who are members of a religious minority church.

A people who were ordered exterminated by the governor of Missouri in 1838.

And, statements like that make them nervous.".

Lee continued, "Again I hope I can get over this, because I can't vote for Hillary.

I know there's no possibility of that.

What I am saying is that Donald Trump can still get a lot of votes from a lot of conservatives like me, but I would like some assurances on where he's going to stand his ground.

I'd like some assurances that he's going to be a vigorous defender for the U.S.

Constitution.".

What's more, in October 2016, Lee said of Trump's presidency, "I have serious doubts about Trump's ability to defeat Hillary Clinton.

In fact, I don't think he can." Lee then went on to suggest that the only way for Trump to salvage his political legacy would have been to step down from the race.

However, by July of 2017, Lee was calling Trump the leader of the "conservative movement." Lee said, "Anyone who's playing a role in the process is, by definition, a leader.

I think he's someone who's come to Washington with an idea of breaking up accumulated power.".

He Thinks That Gun Control Doesn't Actually Have Much to do With Guns.

In Lee's official government page, his issue section regarding the second amendment reads, "Gun control isn't about guns — it's about control.

And the right to bear arms isn't about the arms — it's about the right.".

Lee went on to argue that although governments can and should protect individual liberty, this is "first and foremost the job of the people", and that "the first defense against criminal threats to our persons and our property is ourselves," which is why he believes in the right of gun ownership.

Given that the 2nd amendment and the anti-abortion movement tend to go hand in hand, it might not be a surprise that Lee is also vehemently pro-life, arguing that "Every individual, regardless of age, health, or condition of dependency, deserves the respect and protection of society.

Ted Cruz Thinks He's the 'Single Best Choice' to Replace Justice Kennedy.

On Wednesday, Cruz spoke to Fox News about his belief that Lee was the man for the job.

"I think the single best choice that President Trump could make…is Senator Mike Lee.

I think that he would be extraordinary," Cruz said, adding, "Democrats have batted about 1,000 [with their Justices] voting the way they wanted on every single issue.

Republicans at best bat five hundred…about half of the nominees Republican presidents have put on the court have turned into train wrecks, into liberal activists.".

"The reason why I think the best choice that President Trump could make is Mike Lee is because I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Mike Lee would be faithful to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights," Cruz concluded.

His Brother Is Also Being Considered to Replace Justice Kennedy.

Talk about sibling rivalry.

Both Lee and his brother, Utah Supreme Court Justice Thomas Lee, are on the short list of nominees to replace Justice Kennedy.

Though Thomas Lee reportedly declined to comment to a spokesman in Utah, Lee's substantial legal pedigree likely speaks for itself.

According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Lee had the best chance in 2016 to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia, in terms of finding a replacement who had a similarly strict interpretation of the Constitution.

According to the researchers who published this study, Lee had a 99.4% chance of perfectly fitting "the Scalia mold".

However, Scalia was eventually replaced by Neil Gorsuch, after a long, drawn out battle by Republicans to prevent OBama from nominating Merrick Garland at the end of his presidency.

Now, Thomas Lee is overshadowed by his brother for this replacement, if reports of Trump's leanings are in fact true.
