Fuck Clutter - What about OTHER people's clutter? - Duration: 6:13.

Hey it's Cecilia welcome to the very

first fuck clutter Q&A Wednesday

(hooting) that's me celebrating. I'm very happy

to be here if you don't know me I am a

clutter coach who helps people say fuck

no clutter and fuck yes to life.

So today, this question was actually

asked by a couple people at the

end of the challenge that I just

finished running and I thought this

would be our very first question

so the question is "how do you deal with

other people's clutter?" and in this

scenario other people means other people

that you live with that are alive, not I

did a video where I talked

about other people's clutter or other

people stuff like stuff that people

give you stuff that you've inherited

stuff that belongs to people who died

but what this is a question about

people you live with. This is a great

great question and it's so important so

it really really depends on the age of

the people you live so if you are a

parent and your children are under the

age of say 7 or 8, in that range really up

until they're preteens you are the

guardian of their stuff. Now obviously

this doesn't mean that you can go or

you should go away throw away their

beloved stuffy or do like my mother did

and and get rid of their blankie,

oh blankie I miss you. but you know it's ok

as parents to set limits for your

children actually recently did a

consultation with a couple in Germany

who have two small children and their house

is being overrun by toys and so I just

really lay down the law that if you are

a parent you're the one in charge and

actually really important and

really a gift to your children to limit

the amount of stuff that they have

whether it's toys clothes and and make

homes for things and empower empower

the children in in caring for their

stuff it makes a really big difference

so yes if you are a parent of small children

you're you're in charge

you get to decide who stays and what

goes but it could be nice to involve

them you can give them a

little basket and say "this is your

basket put your favorite toys in" and then

either you can put their name on it and

it's all very fun and special now if the

person that you live with is a grown-up

it gets a little trickier because it's

kind of like that saturday night live

skit you know you can pick your friends

and you can pick your nose but you can't

pick your friends knows it's kinda like

that with clutter you can clear your own

clutter and you can pick your mate but

you cannot clear your mate's clutter so

what this is referring to is the stuff

that belongs solely to your partner or

any other grown-up that lives in your

house that stuff is off-limits

you can't touch it as much as you

want to so we're just going so that's

that's the end of that and now stuff

that is shared belonging and that's when

we start to get into a little bit of a

gray zone

what I would suggest in this area if

you're really gung-ho about clutter

clearing and your partner is unsure

first I would actually say, but

let's back up a little bit

the best way to get your partner to

clear clutter is surprisingly not by

nagging them but it's actually just

by clearing your own clutter it's

interesting to see what happens and

I've seen this is a lot of couples where

one person starts to move and it sort of

creates the momentum that gives the

other partner energy to start clearing

stuff out so that's that's one thing, now

the stuff that

shared you could always tell

your parnter look at I've been going

through some stuff and these are some

things that I think could go

can we talk about them, but it's tricky

with its it's really and I'm sorry that

I don't have like a super clear

beautiful answer for this because other

people are other people and they have

ownership over their stuff even if you

share space so yes but there is

something incredibly empowering and

inspiring when you change when you do

your thing when you do you and and so

that's the best thing that you can do is

do your own stuff it's very easy and i

have seen this so many times working

with clutters, no couples where I

come in and the wife is saying it's all

the husband stuff and when we start to

look around there's actually quite a bit

of stuff that belongs to the wife, so it's

it's one of these things where

it's easy to see bad things in other

people and it can seem like all the

stuff belongs to your partner but see

what belongs to you and see what you

have control over and see what you have

agency over and start there

so that's it if you have any clutter

clearing questions please send them my

way and I love to hear your experiences

about other people's clutter so you

can head over the facebook group or

post in the comments below this video

I'd love to hear from you so go forth

fuck letter and i will see you next

Wednesday

The Most Famous Black Man In Korea: Sam Okyere | ASIAN BOSS - Duration: 19:11.

Hi, my name is Sam Okyere

and I'm the most famous black guy in Korea.

Thanks for your time, Sam.

I looked forward to the day I'll be on Asian Boss.

Today is the day and I'm very honored. Thank you very much.

You're very well known in Korea, obviously!

Fans here can be quite fanatical.

How do you feel when you get mobbed?

I appreciate that.

and I feel like...

to an extent there is always this amount of responsibility

that you have to uphold.

Why do they like you so much?

What do you think is your appeal?

As a Ghanian,

If a Korean came to Ghana,

went to school in Ghana

studied our local language

and spoke to me, I'll be blown away.

But we have a lot of foreigners who do that here in Korea.

-Right. -Why you?

That's good question.

When I first came to Korea,

The first thing I heard was you look like Will Smith.

Every time Koreans see me, the first thing that comes into their mind

This guy reminds me of a Hollywood actor.

Will Smith.. yeah, yeah, yeah.

That was an incident where I was in a shop

and this Chinese lady...

she came up to me and she was like..

"Hey Will, can I get a photo?"

-A Chinese lady in Korea? -Yes, Chinese lady in Korea.

She came and she was like, "Hey Will Smith, can I get a photo?"

I was shocked. I was dumbfounded.

I was like... wow...

But I felt like...because of...

the like they have for Will Smith,

and thinking that I look like him,

I felt like that automatically translates to me as well.

And of course, I'm doing entertainment.

They like the fact that I'm easy going and I'm funny.

That positive energy that I have

I feel like all Koreans like a lot.

Because if you look at the society,

there is always a lot of pressure, a lot of stress

so as to be able to turn on your TV set,

and see somebody who is like very high energy....

who is very positive...

You can actually feed off that energy and I felt like

that is something that they really really like about me.

-You are from... originally from Ghana? -Yes.

How the hell do you just go from Ghana to...

being in Korea... arriving in Korea, living in Korea,

and just become the super celebrity that you are?

You know, it's funny because these are things you never imagine.

I've never imagined myself to be in Korea.

When I was in high school, I was at a point where

the only focus was to go to University of Ghana.

That was my goal.

So I'll be done with university, I'll get a good job.

You know.. if I have a good girl

I will get married to her, I will raise my own family.

Just that normal Ghanian life.

When I heard about this Korean government scholarship thingy,

At first, I was like 'Nah... I don't believe that.'

Like million people are gonna apply for it

The chances that I would be successful are very very slim.

My dad was like, "you know, opportunities - they are like once in a lifetime.'

So when it comes, you have to take advantage of it

and you never know where this is gonna end.

So at least give it a try.

So, I applied for it.

and it took a year for them to call me back.

and I got a call from the embassy.

They said "Hey, are you Samuel?"

I said, "Yes, who are you?"

"We're from Korean Embassy. You applied for the scholarship a year ago?

I said, "Yeah"

"Yeah, you got the scholarship"

I thought that was when I really started to think about my life.

I'm like, you know, this is real.

I'm about to leave my family

and gonna start a whole new life by myself in Asia...

in a country where I barely know any... even a single letter of the language.

But we understood that it was an opportunity,

that came once in a lifetime and we had to take it.

So, I took it and it landed me in Korea.

What do you think people's perception of you were back then

and did you have any particular struggles or any hardships that you had to go through?

I think the most...

interesting thing was when I took the subway

and I realized that some of the seats were empty.

But, where we were sitting, nobody would sit next to us.

So I asked my friend I'm like...

"Aren't they super tired of standing?"

and he was like...

"Well... you know,

we're Africans and they're not really gonna sit next to us

and I was like....wow!

I think that was my first real experience with

Almost like a subtle form of racism.

Yeah, like it was very subtle discrimination.

There was one time I sat in the subway and this girl sat next to me

and we were talking and she asked me where I was from

and I said "Africa, Ghana."

and she's like "You look too good to be an African"

What the hell does that mean?

Yeah I know, what the hell does that mean?

-What are Africans supposed to look like? -Right.

But we talked and some of them expect you to be smelly

in some type of way

look a certain type of way

talk a certain type of way.

And I remember there was a time I wanted to get a cab.

Cab driver won't.. you know... he wouldn't pick me up.

I was like...what's up with that?

I am paying you, why wouldn't you pick me up?

It was very very shocking.

Would you say that type of practice...

is it still going on?

It still goes on.

I feel like with the taxi drivers...

They play an important role but they don't realize it

because sometimes...

when people come here, and they don't really know the subway system or the bus,

They tend to take taxies.

And their first sort of communication and interaction is with the taxi drivers.

So, when you have a very bad experience, that experience lingers on

So, they play a very important role.

In some of the moments, I was like

"Wow, what am I really doing here?"

Is this how are people gonna treat me?

I miss my family,

I miss being in Ghana where everybody is treated equally... like

what's up with this, you know?

How do you work through something like that?

Like mentally?

How do you kind of... you know...

just keep moving forward.

Look, It is not always gonna be roses.

They're gonna be times people will discriminate against you and all that.

But if you wanna get over it,

It's important that you quickly assimilate yourself with the culture,

and learn the language.

Once that language barrier is broken,

you know, things are gonna be much smoother.

That was what I focused my mind on that I was gonna do.

Any other hardships maybe financially?

I was in a relationship with a certain person

and she had to leave Korea.

So we became a long distance.

I get my bill one time,

and I looked at it and it was almost $4,000.

And I'm like...

I am here...I'm a student

I barely save enough to get me around.

My first trip to Ghana I had to borrow money from somebody.

So I already owed somebody.

And here is this $4,000 bill in my face.

What do I do?

So, I made it a point to pay all the money.

And it was not easy at all because

I had to use my monthly stipend to pay for that.

So there were times I couldn't even pay for my rent,

there were times I didn't have, even...

just to put a dollar together was difficult to get on the subway.

To make it to school.

And you make it to school and you have to worry about what you're gonna eat

because you have no money.

Fortunate for me, I had a Korean friend.

You know and...

I was like "Hey today I don't really have a lot of money."

He was said: "Okay, I got you"

He would go and buy the food for me.

And then I jokingly say: "I made it to school, I don't know how I'm gonna make it back."

And he said: "Hey come on, Sam, I got you."

Gave me a little money and he said

"Hey, if you don't have money tomorrow, you can have like this money,

and spread it over the week."

So sometimes I had to spread 10,000 won (US$10) over the whole week.

That'd cover my transportation and food.

And in Seoul, you spend 10,000 won with just one meal,

or one cup of coffee.

And I had to spend that in a week.

So there was a month where it was really really difficult.

Like I basically had...

I barely had two cents to rub together.

And I made a promise to myself

that I'm never gonna come back to this condition of this situation ever again.

Whatever it is, I'm just gonna push harder,

I'm gonna work hard,

make sure that I have enough for myself and for my family.

So these tough times...they are there to build you up.

You didn't plan to be in the entertainment industry?

I studied computer science,

undergraduate level and...

that was one of my... very important lessons I learned.

Do not let anybody dictate your life for you.

Because prior to Korea,

I had an Uncle who convinced me.

He said: "Look, Korea is an IT stronghold."

"Learn computers, learn IT!"

So I was like: "Okay, fine."

When I go to college, and I was like

"Man, I don't really wanna just sit behind computers all day and do this."

It's not my thing.

I rather wanna go out into the society and try to solve problems and do all of that.

But unfortunately, the system in Korea is such that

you can't change your major.

You know, so...

I had to go through like 4 years of struggling to keep up with something I really didn't enjoy.

I wasn't...I wasn't really good at it.

And I was struggling with it.

There was a point I really wanted to just quit the whole thing.

One time I called my Dad and I'm like:

"I'm tired, I don't wanna do this anymore, this is not for me."

My dad encouraged to push so...

I realized that I needed to look for something else that was in me

that I really, really wanted to germinate

and I realized that it was entertainment.

So when I was in school, I joined a rap group.

It was like a R&B and hip hop group.

And I realized that entertaining people was something that really gave me so much pleasure.

So I got an opportunity,

to do the show called "Foreign Island Teachers"

That changed my life completely.

Because it was the first of it's kind, where they bring people from different places; foreigners

and go to remote islands in Korea,

and spend about a week on an island, and teach English to the kids,

and bond with people.

And I realized that at that moment

that language is really, really important in breaking barriers.

And just by being here,

learning the culture, learning the language,

I have been able to bond with these people

on a level that I would never have imagined.

So at that instance, I knew it was something I wanted to do.

Because I enjoyed it, and I realized that I was able to make an impact.

So I said to myself,

"If I really work hard at this

and I get to a certain level where people are gonna listen to what I say,

I, as a representative of people of color in Korea,

I can stretch the boundaries."

Just feeling that sense of responsibility,

and that urge to really work,

and to enjoy what I do,

I decided I would do it. So that show was the first one.

But, "Hello Counselor", I would say really, really...

You know, brought us in the limelight

in the sense that it was an episode of racism.

Where are you from?

I'm from Ghana, Africa.

Ghana.

I've been in Korea for 4.5 years.

I got on the subway with my friend.

There were three empty seats,

I went to sit down and a lady

put her legs up on the seat so I couldn't sit down.

She told me off for being there.

She asked why you were in Korea?

Yes, yes.

She told me to go back to my country.

What the?

I don't just like Korea, I love it.

That show just led to a different show to a different show,

and then eventually I got a call.

They said: "You have been casted for Abnormal Summit."

And that was it.

At the time when it came out, it was one of the most popular shows in Korea.

Within that year, It was voted the third most popular Korean TV show.

Everybody knew about it,

that was pretty much what shot us into the limelight.

So everywhere you go, you associated with that.

How long has it been since you've actually come outside in public like this?

Well...

It might sound crazy but I always have to come out with a mask.

-Hello. -Wow!

-I've never met a star before.

OMG Thank you so much!

We are actually in the middle of interviewing Sam but..

Where did you see Sam?

From Abnormal Summit.

-How do you know Sam? -From Abnormal Summit.

Why do you like him?

Because he speaks Korean well and loves Korean culture.

-I see, so you're a fan? -Yes

Thank you!

-Have a great day! -You, too.

It's good to get out once in a while and interact with the fans.

I understand that the reason why I'm on TV is because the fan want me there.

If they don't want me, I'm not gonna get any TV gigs.

So, I really, really appreciate that a lot.

And I also let them understand that, look,

yes I'm the guy you see on TV, but I'm the same guy you can see at the shop.

I'm the same guy, you go to the mart, you see me... I'll say hi to you and we can talk.

So for me, It's more of building that relationship with.

So, they don't feel like,

"Oh, he is a star, he's a celebrity. He's there and I'm here." No, I don't like that.

Any fun or memorable experiences you've had

filming for a KoreanTV show?

"Real Men."

What is it like a military training type TV show?

Yes, military training type variety show.

And it's...it's pretty much... it's very real.

Literally people come up to me and say: "Hey is Real Men for real?"

"Is Real Men real?" I'm like: "It's as real as it gets."

So it was a show where a lot of people were getting hurt so much.

Like, you go to the show for a week and somebody's limping.

Somebody comes with a broken hand.

There was one time I had to jump from I think... 20 feet into the water.

And you're actually supposed to land in the water with your body straight.

So this is how you have t o fall into the water.

But when I jumped,

midway in the air, my body slanted a bit.

So I literally just fell really hard on my balls.

-You landed on your balls. -Yeah.

I have never felt that kind of pain in my loins as much as I did that day.

I thought I was dead for a second.

But I could hear the officer telling me: "Swim!"

"Swim, come!"

And I remember being so angry and cussing under my breath.. Like this...

I'm literally dying here and you're asking me to swim?

It was one of the near death experiences that I had.

I think you deserve every kind of fame...

having gone through experiences like that.

I take my hat off to a lot of entertainers in Korea, who do what they do.

It's not an easy task at all.

People think it's always easy to go on TV and be like

No, it takes more than that.

You're almost instrumental in a certain way of kinda transforming

or reversing some of the negative stereotypes people have about black people?

I knew that Koreans were, in terms of black people,

they were always scared.

They viewed us as dangerous.

That Hollywood stereotype of black people: gangsters, probably got a gun,

you know all those things.

But I decided to go opposite of that,

which is, you know, very light character,

very funny,

easy to approach,

positive,

and they really liked that a lot.

Does it sometimes concern you that all this could just one day go away?

I felt like, as a foreigner, your entertainment career in Korea is

short-lived unfortunately.

Unless, of course, you're able to rebrand yourself in very amazing ways.

It's my goal to be one of the top actors in Korea.

But, of course, you're hindered by the fact that you always have to play a certain role.

Your role is the foreigner.

And trying to break out of that is really, really difficult.

Because when they write roles, they just consider you as a foreigner.

They're not looking at you as an actor who can do any kind of role that they give you.

I also believe that we're at an age or time where you also have to be able to create your own...

you have to create your own lane.

I feel like there's still a lot of opportunities for me to be able to showcase

my talents to Koreans.

-You're running a juice bar right now... -Yeah.

-which is a very nice shop. -Thank you.

It's just interesting that you're actually a foreigner

and you're running a business in Korea.

Why a juice bar?

Because I feel like Koreans are trying to be more healthy.

And we wanna play a part in that.

And I come here often, you know, I come here to interact with people

because I'm not just here to take their money.

I understand that I'm providing them with a service.

So when I'm here, I try to interact with them as much as I can.

If they want photos I take with them, I sign a lot of autographs.

I try to let them understand that I'm here. I'm not just the owner, but I want to bond with the people.

It's about creating this special bond that we have.

So I can give you healthy juice, I can entertain you as well.

So you can keep coming back here.

-Can I try some of the juice? -Of course, come on, man.

You know, having spent a long time in Korea now,

what do you see as the biggest social issue right here in Korea?

I think one of the most prominent is,

the fact that the young people have lost hope in the system.

Because what's the point of going to school,

paying all that money,

coming out and not being able to get a job to be able to sustain yourself.

A lot of young people basically complain that there aren't enough opportunities...

-Yet, here you are, a black man from Ghana... -Yes.

came to Korea with nothing,

with zero connections, no money

and yet, still, you made something out of yourself so...

what can you tell to those that say Korea has no opportunities?

I believe that if there is no opportunity,

you have to create your own opportunities.

I created my own opportunities by making myself better, and developing myself as a person.

I learned the Korean language and I read the culture.

I believe, in Korea, there is this trend where

people have different talents,

and different things they wanna do,

but because of the system they have to do what everybody else is doing.

If you conform to what it's happening,

you're only gonna become a victim of that environment.

And you don't wanna do that.

The most important thing is people should not be afraid to fail.

Korea has this...

thing where people always want to be perfect.

Everything has to be perfect.

But in the normal world, everything is not perfect.

And that is the reality that people need to understand.

That it's okay to fail at what you're doing.

It's okay to not succeed all the time.

The times that you're not successful, how you're able to pick yourself up and say you know what:

"I'm still going to fight to the end."

That fighting spirit is really, really important.

Well, all I can say is that after having had this chat..

I can see why people love you.

And I'm personally very inspired.

I feel like an African Boss now.. Thank you!

You are an African Boss.

Thank you man, you are Asian Boss.

Thanks a lot.

Appreciate what you're doing man. It's great, keep it up.

and stuff like that at first being

genderqueer and kind of presenting

masculinely I had a hard time getting

the courage up enough to go to a health

center and say like hey I'd really like to

learn more about the IUD because going

into doctor's offices have been it's not

been the most comfortable thing for me

with how I am perceived by healthcare

staff so it took me about a year and a

half and finally with the help of my

ex-partner got the courage up enough to

go into clinic and ask to get an IUD

getting an iud for me it was painful

maybe for about 10 seconds

but then I think I was more proud of myself with

the stories that I heard from other

people as far as pain goes but

it was a very simple quick process I'd say

it took probably about 10 minutes for the

whole kinda start to finish

what i like about the

IUD is that I no longer get periods with

the help of testosterone I like that

it's good for five years so i don't

really have to go through the process of

getting one taken out and put back in

like every year, three months, or what

have you

the only thing I didn't like about the

IUD when I had it first place was about

you know the first three months there

was some cramping and just getting used

to that and dealing with that was really

worth it but that was probably the only

thing that I didn't like about it i

think when i first wanted to get the iud

it was because I was having heavy

periods and although it bothered me at

work and made that pretty inconvenient

as far as my gender identity goes

I didn't feel like I was supposed to have

a period in the first place so it was

kind of a double whammy to have really

heavy ones and feel like I never should

have had one to begin with so the Mirena

really helped in my self-confidence

enough to be like you know this is who i

am i'm feeling this way coming out to my

partner at the time and then my friends

and being very supported originally when

i started my transition I didn't feel

like I could continue having the Mirena

because of the hormones that are

involved with Mirena i really had to

step up and and talk to my physician

about that and what I found out was it

actually helps your vaginal health with

your every part of your reproductive

system to have an IUD when you are on

testosterone the main advice that I'd

like to share is specifically with trans

men is don't fall into gender roles,

as far as, you know, if you do sleep with

cisgender men or you know really anyone

and pregnancy is a concern for you,

don't be scared to talk to your doc about

possibly getting an IUD placed

take care of your vaginal health as much

as you can because there are a lot of

side effects from other hormones that we

we take or that we're interested in

and you know I think that your body is

your temple and there's nothing wrong

with having a conversation with your

physician about the possibility of

staying safe and staying healthy.

Cook the Perfect Steak on a Pan 🍴 - Duration: 6:52.

so every guy should know how to cook a

steak but we all don't have a grill so

i'm gonna show you how to cook a steak

in the pen where they have a stove or

hot plate

you have no excuse not to be able to

make one so to make a basic stake are

you need is the steak so and pepper but

i'm not satisfied with basic so we're

going to take this steak and we're going

to do something extra stick around guys

I'm gonna share with you my secret

recipe

hi I'm Andres and this is be a man

where i teach you everything you should know

not only to be a competant man but a

confident man if saving money by

learning to do things yourself is

something you're interested in

make sure you sign in and hit that

subscribe button so those kind of videos

can go straight to your notification

sticks when people hear that they

usually think about two things expensive

and delicious now it's not necessarily

always so if you don't know what you're

doing that steak is not going to taste

good i know i've got two restaurants

where spend some good money but I was

quite disappointed but on the flip side

it doesn't have to be expensive either

if you know how to do it yourself you

can definitely save some money now the

worst thing you can do to a steak it's

overcook it

so when you're cooking steak you wanted

to have some pink in the middle

how do you know it's ready well you can

definitely take the temperature of it

but most of us don't have those four

thermometers to be checking out that

some let me show you a quick little

trick if you take your fingers and put

them together like so and you press

right here this is still rare you don't

want to eat that yet you put these

together it's going to be this is still

going to be pretty good it's gonna taste

good or you can even go here now if you

are putting these together and it feels

hard like that

it's overdone man into my soul just

throw it away so you want to stick to

one of these depending on your taste

now there's also grades of me but I'm

gonna leave that to the end of the video

so stick around for that

alright guys go ahead and wash your

hands and meet me in the kitchen I'm

gonna share with you my theory recipe

that i created by putting together some

different elements of other recipes

ok what you're gonna need is the steak

the salt and pepper but also for any

mustard and italian seasoning it may

sound a little weird but trust me it's

gonna be good

the first thing you want to do you want

to take the mustard put some on the

steak get a brush and just evenly

distributed around the steak

after you do that get the chatting

seasoning and be generous with it it

although with steak after you have

enough seasoning get the black pepper

sprinkle some on there and then sprinkle

as much salt as you want i like to press

it all in there afterwards just to make

sure none of it falls off and keeps that

layer but once you're done with that

just flip over steak do it all over

again

I'll take your pen and put some cooking

oil in it and let's take in

now you're going to want to cook each

side for seven to ten minutes depending

on how you like your steak so remember

how I told you by checking how firm it

is as you can tell where it's at

so this one has a consistency about the

the middle finger boards so you can eat

it at this point but i'm going to show

you how it looks like inside they have

an idea where we're at

I'm gonna cut it a little early just so

you know it still has a lot of pink

inside again you can eat it and if

that's the way you like it by all means

go ahead it's ready for you right now

this is the way I like it I like it to

have a small pink strip in the middle

after you're done cooking it it on the

plate slice it up and enjoy

ok guys so what I want you to do is go

down to the comments and tell me how was

it if you do it well it should be crispy

on the outside and tender on the inside

i definitely want to know what others

think about my recipe now if you're

making a state to impress that sexy my

seat that then you want to buy the best

you can afford so there are quite a few

different grades of meat eight if i'm

not mistaken but you only need to know

three that's prime choice and select so

select is going to be the lesser and

quality of the three it can be leaner

meat so that means it has less fat but

it also means it has less flavor

more than likely this is what you've

been eating restaurants typically aren't

going to give you the best of the best

next is choice choice is going to be a

higher-quality it's going to have a

little more marbling in the meat which

means it that fat that kind of like

veins going through it

prime is going to be the most tender and

the most flavorful one and if you can

afford it that's what you want to shoot

for now if you like this video hit that

like button so i know to make more like

this and go ahead and share with your

friends and family that way they can

make good steaks too

Wrangler Barricade Trailforce HD Front Bumper w/ LED Lights & Winch (2007-2017 JK) Review & Install - Duration: 8:26.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review and installation of the Barricade

Trailforce HD Front Bumper with LED Lights and Winch Combination, fitting all 2007 and

up JKs.

Today, we're gonna talk through the installation of this kit, which is going to be a fairly

simple one out of three wrenches.

Even though there are lights on this bumper and you have the winch, you're really only

making a couple of connections at your battery.

So again, one out of three wrenches for this install, but do give yourself around two hours

to get it done, maybe even a little bit more.

We'll talk more about the install in just a second.

We're also gonna talk through the construction and a few of the features of this kit.

This combination includes, of course, both your bumper and your winch.

You know that these two pieces are going to work together, you're gonna save a little

bit of money by buying them at the same time, and you're going to end up with a package

that is both very useful and will also drastically transform the look of the front of your Jeep.

Now, this kit is available with a couple of different bumpers, and this one, in particular,

has the LED lights built into it.

These lights are a little bit more of a marker light than they are an auxiliary light that's

actually gonna throw a lot of light in front of you on the road or on the trail.

But if you're looking for that, if you like that look of an integrated, built-in flush

mount light, and you want a winch that's gonna be very functional as well, all while saving

a little bit of money, buying them together in this combo pack is a really good option.

So obviously, there are two separate pieces here, and first we'll talk about the bumper.

This is the Barricade Trailforce HD Front Bumper with integrated LED lights.

This is going to be 5/32nds-inch steel covered in a textured black powder coat finish.

It does, of course, have the winch mount right up on top and your fair lead mount as well.

It has two D-ring mounts that are welded and bolt directly into your frame horns, giving

you a really solid connection for either a snatch strap recovery or using a snatch block

with your winch in order to double the pulling power of the winch.

And this does also come with the 3/4-inch D-rings as well, so it's not a piece that

you have to purchase separately, which is really nice, something you don't have to think

about.

This, of course, has a 2-inch hoop up on top of the bumper, which is going to offer a little

bit of protection to your winch from branches and brush.

And it also two light mount tabs up on the top, allowing you to mount any traditional

single post light.

Whether you're looking to mount some additional auxiliary lights or even a light bar up here,

you do have a couple of different options.

Now, this is a mid-width bumper from Barricade, so it is going to be slightly shorter than

that factory front bumper.

But even if you have a factory fender flare on your Jeep, I still think that this is going

to look pretty good.

Sometimes, when you go with a stubby bumper, you really want an aggressive fender flare

that jets in to give you a nice, clean look from the front.

With this, you can get away with running a bunch of different styles of fender flare

because it is a mid-width bumper, so you are going to get some protection and you're gonna

get those additional features that we just talked about.

Of course, this is the kit that comes with the winch as well, and this is Barricade's

9,500-Pound Winch with Synthetic Line.

Now, the general rule of thumb for the pulling capacity of a winch is that you want it to

be roughly double the loaded trail weight of your vehicle.

So if you have a really heavy, armored-up 4-door JK that you plan on burying up to the

axles in mud, maybe you wanna consider the 12,000-pound winch.

However, if you have a little bit of a lighter 4-door or certainly a light 2-door rig, 9,500

pounds is going to be more than enough for you.

Now, this is gonna be a 5.5 horsepower motor.

This does have a three-stage planetary gear set, so it is going to give you a good bit

of pulling power.

Now, in general, I really like a synthetic line.

It's going to be more expensive up front, you're going to have to replace it and maintain

it more often, and it is going to be more expensive every time you purchase a new one.

However, the benefit to a synthetic line is that it's lighter-weight, it's not going to

kink, it's easier to drag up those muddy hills, and it doesn't store energy like a steel cable

will.

This is going to stretch just like steel will, but when steel is under load and it breaks,

it snaps back.

It can hit somebody, causing an injury, or just some damage to your Jeep.

With the synthetic line, again, it doesn't store that energy, so if it were to break,

it falls directly to the ground fairly harmlessly.

You can mount your solenoid box right up on top here, or you could, of course, mount it

in back if you chose to.

Now, there are winches on the market that have some additional features, that if you're

gonna be doing some really long, hard pulls every single weekend, I might recommend spending

a little bit more on one of those other winches.

However, if you're going to be using this occasionally, this is going to be a really

nice winch that's gonna save you some money over those other options that are available.

This install is going to a one-out-of-three-wrench install that will probably take you right

around two hours, and the first step in getting this installed is going to be removing your

factory front bumper.

You'll do that by removing the splash shield on the bottom and the frame cover on the top,

removing the fog light sockets and the fog light wiring harness, and finally unbolting

that bumper and removing it from the Jeep.

Now, at this point, I would recommend installing the wiring harness for the lights on your

new bumper.

These are not going to plug directly into where your factory fog lights do, but this

does come with a really nice harness.

That includes the switch, the relay, the fuse and will plug directly into these lights,

so all you have to do is pick up power at the battery.

So you're gonna have to pull the switch wire through the firewall, get the switch mounted

inside the cab.

You're gonna run the two power wires, positive and negative, up to the battery where you'll

pick up power there.

And then you'll run the actual connection ends down to the front of the frame where

the bumper is going to be.

Once you get that into place, I would recommend bolting your winch up.

First, you're going to bolt the solenoid box on top of the winch if that's where you choose

to mount it, attach your wires from the box to the winch itself, so all you're going to

have are those two long leads that go to the battery, and finally bolt your winch onto

the bumper.

For that, you're gonna get your fair lead in place.

So once you have the winch bolted up to the bumper, you're gonna have a big, heavy package.

Why not install the bumper first and then the winch?

Well, it can be a little bit difficult to get to those winch mounting bolts if you do

it that way.

So again, I recommend the winch gets mounted to the bumper and the bumper and winch as

a package get mounted onto the Jeep.

Once you do have everything bolted up, you simply lift the bumper and winch onto the

frame rails and use the included hardware to get it bolted down tight.

Because you've already run all of the wiring for your lights, you simply plug those lights

in.

You'll want to stretch the two positive and negative wires from your winch through your

grille, up along the fender, and attach those to the battery as well as attaching the two

leads that you ran for your wiring harness to the battery as well.

And that's why I'm still giving this a one out of three wrenches.

Even though you do have the lights and the winch to wire up, it's really just four wires,

two that get attached to the positive terminal of your battery, two that get attached to

the negative terminal of your battery.

So even if you're not someone who's comfortable with automotive wiring, that's something that

really anybody can do.

As far as the tools necessary to get this installed, really just your traditional hand

tools.

No wiring tools or anything like that are necessary.

This is gonna be a pretty straightforward and a pretty easy install for anyone to do

in their driveway.

Overall, I think that this bumper and winch combination is fairly priced.

Of course, you're going to save some money over purchasing the winch and the bumper separately,

and if you're looking for the features that are offered in this kit, I do think this is

gonna be a really nice option for those of you who are going to be occasionally using

your winch.

This is gonna save you some money over those top-tier winches that are much more expensive

that has additional features, and of course, you're going to have the bumper for its features

and its protection.

Overall, these are gonna work really well together, they're gonna drastically change

the look of your Jeep, and I think that they're gonna be a pretty nice option for the price.

So if you're looking for a front bumper and winch combination for your Jeep to offer some

more function and drastically change the look of the front of your Jeep, I think this is

going to be a fairly-priced option.

So that's my review of the Barricade Trailforce HD Front Bumper with LED Lights and Winch

Combination, fitting all 2007 and up JKs, that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Hi, this is Ed Miseta, Chief Editor

for Clinical Leader, here again to tell you

about Clinical Leader Forum coming up

May 10 - 11 in Philadelphia, PA.

If you're like me there's generally three

things that you look for when deciding

whether or not to go to a conference.

Number one, you want subject matter that

applies to you and the job you do

everyday. You want those networking

opportunities so you can interact with

your peers and colleagues. But what's

most important to me are the speakers,

the folks are going to be presenting the

information. You want to make sure that

they're knowledable, that they

understand your challenges and that they

can present the material in a way that's

entertaining and enjoyable. Coming up on

this first Clinical Leader Forum that is

one area where I've spent most of my time.

I really focused on making sure we have

experts there that you can relate to,

and whose presentations you will get a lot

out of. So we have individuals facing the

same challenges you do. People like

Michelle Berg from Abeona Therapeutics, Karen Brooks

from Adare Pharma, Molly Rosano

from Momenta Pharma and Elizabeth

Garner from Agile Therapeutics. At the

same time I reached out to some of those

folks that you love seeing at shows and

conferences because they do a great job

of presenting and put out really good

information. So people like Christine

Pierre from SCRS, Paulo Moreira from EMD

Serono, Deirde BeVard from Nektar

Therapeutics and Stephanie Petrone from

Novartis. If you go to

ClinicalLeaderForum.com you can see a complete

list of our confirmed speakers. I think

you'll be as impressed with them as I am.

That's Clinical Leader Forum. May 10 - 11

Montepulciano, Italy: Tuscan Vino and Views - Duration: 4:49.

Tuscany is one of those regions

where it just makes sense to sleep outside the city.

And our farmhouse B&B

provides a great springboard for a world of side trips.

A short and scenic drive south

takes us through some of Italy's finest wine country.

This is the land of two beloved local wines,

Brunello di Montalcino

and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.

The vineyards here produce some of the very best wines

in the world.

And travelers who call in advance

are welcome to visit and tour the wineries.

Beautifully tended vines

soak up the spring sun as hard-working vintners

hope that this year's vintage will be one to remember.

And over-looking it all is the hill town of Montepulciano.

The town's sleepy main piazza

is surrounded by a grab bag of architectural sites.

The medieval town hall resembles

nearby Florence's Palazzo Vecchio

a reminder that about 500 years ago,

Montepulciano allied itself with Florence.

The crenellations along the roof

were never intended to hide soldiers

they just symbolize power.

But the big central tower makes it clear

that the city's keeping an eye out in all directions.

[ Drums playing ]

For centuries, this town has celebrated

its independent spirit.

And today, these young people carry on that tradition

and entertain their visitors with a colorful ritual.

[ Drums continue playing ]

Being a wine-producing capital,

Montepulciano was built upon a honeycomb of wine cellars.

Palazzo Ricci sits atop

a particularly impressive series of cellars.

-Oh, Roberto!Ciao!

-Joining a vintner, we descend a long staircase.

Heading deep down into the hill

that Montepulciano is built upon,

the temperature noticeably drops,

and eventually, we end up

at street level of the lower town.

Climbing even further down,

we reach gigantic barrels

under even more gigantic vaults

and a chance to learn about the wine

that's aging here.

Rick: These are very big barrels. Enrico: Yeah, of course.

It's very big barrel. 10,000 liter.

It's made of wood the Slavonian wood.

Rick: 10,000 liters. How many bottles?

Enrico: 13,000.

For this wine, it's the artful combination of aging

in large, medium, and small oak barrels

that gets the tannin levels just right.

Rick: Enrico, when was the first barrel of wine

here in this cellar?

Enrico: From 1337.

Rick: 700 years.

Enrico: Of course. Sure.

Rick: My goodness. And for our last stop,

a chance to taste some of the wine as it's aging.

And I'm forever the attentive student.

Rick: So how old would this wine be here?

Roberto: Ah, one year. Rick: One year.

Rick: So this is "baby" Nobile di Montepulciano.

Enrico: Baby Vino Nobile, born an hour [ago].

Rick: Born an hour it's little, tiny baby!

And when it's finished, how old will the wine be?

Roberto: Three years old. Rick: Three years.

And is this good? Can you tell when you taste?

Enrico: For me, the wine is how my son is. It's very, very nice.

Rick: You love the wine like your son?

Enrico: Yeah...

Rick: You love your son like the wine!

Enrico: Same. Same!

Rick: The same! That's good!

The people of Montepulciano seem to enjoy their red meat

as much as their red wine,

and this osteria is a carnivore's dream come true.

Its long, narrow room, jammed with shared tables,

leads to a busy kitchen with an open fire.

Giulio, his wife Chiara,

and their staff serve their hungry crowd

like a well-choreographed meat-eater's ballet.

Weight and price is agreed upon at the table.

Rick: You know what? That's good.

Then it's leave it to cleaver.

The meat is seared over embers for just a few minutes...

before being cut from the bone.

Rick: I can smell it already.

Oh, look at that! Nice!

And in Tuscany, the correct way to enjoy a steak is...rare.

I'm just one person, what can I do? - Duration: 7:32.

- I'm just one person, and climate change

is such a huge, overwhelming problem.

No matter how hard I try,

and no matter how small I shrink my carbon footprint,

it won't make a difference, right?

(electronic tones)

The average American emits about 18 tons of carbon dioxide

into the atmosphere each year,

and the average Canadian, about 16.

That's four times the global average.

To put it in perspective, it's the equivalent of each of us

driving a mid-sized car around the entire circumference

of the planet one time each year.

There are so many climate-friendly steps

we can take in our everyday life,

and many of them will also save our pocketbooks.

The very first step is the easiest

and the most painless, I promise.

What's your personal carbon footprint?

Before you set about making it smaller,

you first have to know how big it is,

and where is all this stuff coming from.

Is it your house, your food, your travel?

It's different for each of us,

because it depends on our lifestyle.

There's a bunch of cool calculators available online

that help you measure this.

Just Google carbon calculator, and you can find them.

Once you know your carbon footprint

and you know where it's coming from,

then you can start making changes.

These could be small things you do around the house,

like recycling, washing your clothes in cold water

instead of hot water, which uses five times the energy,

or swapping old old, incandescent light bulbs

for more efficient LEDs.

Making the light bulb switch could cut your emissions

from lighting by up to 85%.

That's half a ton of carbon emissions

every year for your household,

and if everyone in America changed just one

old, incandescent bulb into a new LED,

that would be like taking almost 800,000 cars off the road.

We can make larger changes, like when it's time,

purchasing an ENERGY STAR rated appliance the next time

we have to replace our fridge or our washing machine.

If every new appliance had that rating,

it would be the equivalent

of taking about 350,000 cars off the road,

or you could make heating and cooling your home

more efficient by caulking your leaky windows

and adding insulation to your attic.

If your house isn't weatherized, you're likely

losing as much energy through air leaks each year

as you would if you just left a window open the whole time.

Doing something as simple as installing

a $50 programmable thermostat

could lower your energy bill and your emissions by 15%.

As you can see these days, there are a lot of good options,

and they also include options

for powering your home with renewable energy.

You could see if your energy utility

offers a green power plan,

or you could even have your own solar panels

or your own personal little windmill installed on your roof.

I live in Texas, and for many parts of the state,

buying wind power for your home is just about

the same price as getting it from natural gas or coal.

There's also a lot we can do in our own diets.

That includes eating locally produced foods,

not wasting food, opting for tap water over bottled water,

and eating lower in the food chain.

That means more veggies and less meat.

One pound of red meat creates about 18 times

the amount of emissions as a pound of pasta.

We can also look at the way we commute to work.

We could consider carpooling, even once a week would help,

biking to the office, think of the fitness benefits,

or telecommuting to the office one day a week.

I enjoy working in my pajamas, myself.

My job involves a lot of business trips though,

where I can't wear pajamas,

so I try to video conference into meetings when I can,

and when air travel is unavoidable,

I buy carbon credits to offset my travel.

There's a lot of good companies that do this.

The organization that I use,

for example, is called Climate Stewards.

They measure how much carbon the plane trip produced,

and then they do things that make up for that same amount.

Like planting trees and buying efficient cookstoves

for families in Ghana and Mexico and Kenya,

so they don't have to chop down trees to cook their food.

A full quarter of the average American's

emissions come from driving.

So one major step we can take when the time is right

is to buy a fuel-efficient vehicle.

Whether that means finding a car

with the best fuel economy in its class,

or purchasing a hybrid or an electric vehicle.

I drive a small hybrid SUV right now,

and more than anything,

I would love for my next car to be a Tesla.

I hope Elon Musk is watching this.

The reality is, we can make the biggest changes

when we work together.

So if you're serious about reducing the carbon footprint

of your community, talk to the people who pay the bills

at your work, or your church, or your school,

or even your gym or your yoga studio.

Encourage them to make smart choices too,

that save money and improve our quality of life.

This could be as simple as encouraging your office

to install those sensors that turn out

the lights when people aren't there,

or encourage the gym to check out treadmills

that could be plugged into the building's energy system.

Why let all that running go to waste?

You could install solar panels on the roof,

or you could just paint it white

if you live in a hot climate like I do,

to save on the air conditioning bills.

We can all help by taking personal and communal steps

to reduce our carbon emissions, and that will do a lot,

but realistically, it won't be enough all by itself.

Our personal choices control

only about 40% of national emissions,

and even then, we can't always afford

to make the choices that we'd like to.

The reality is, the government also must act,

but in a democracy, that's what it's there for, right?

To do what we want it to.

So really, the most important thing each of us can do

is to let our elected representatives at city hall,

in the state capital, or in Washington or Ottawa,

know that we're concerned about global warming

and we want them to address it.

From tightening fuel standards

to building a clean energy economy.

This is a leadership issue,

and we don't yet have the ability

to make some of the choices that each of us would like to.

Now, if this sounds kind of scary, and it might,

then I'd encourage you to check out a great organization

called Citizens Climate Lobby.

They have chapters all over the United States and Canada,

and around the world, and they're all just regular people

helping each other figure out how you write a letter

or an email, or how you call or visit an elected official

to tell them one simple message,

that we just need a price on carbon.

I think they must be doing something right,

because Citizens Climate Lobbies Climate Solutions Caucus

in the United States, is the only one I know of

that has the same number of Republican congressmen and women

as it does Democrats.

So wherever you are, wherever you're from,

we all need to stand up together and make our voices heard.

We all live on this planet, we all want a better future,

and we're not gonna get there

if we leave climate change out of the picture.

6 Ways To Upgrade Your Classic V-Day Gifts | Valentine's Day Gift Guides | Refinery29 - Duration: 3:45.

Wrestle with me on the living room floor wearing only our undies.

This is really kinky guys!

Hey guys, it's Lucie Fink.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I know this holiday can sometimes get a bit cliche.

Everyone seems to be getting the same gifts.

So here are six ideas for how you can take a gift that otherwise would be generic and

turn it into something a little bit more original.

Let's get to it!

Roses are a very sweet gift but let's be honest.

Everyone gets roses on Valentine's Day and within a week or so, they're dead.

So here's a better idea that's a little bit sweeter.

Try making this DIY candy bouquet using their favorite type of candy.

I used chocolate and spray painted it gold to make it extra luxurious.

This is a gift idea that won't die plus it's like giving your Valentine's Day

flowers and chocolate all in one.

Mmmm!

Tastes like spray paint.

Ahh!

Gift idea number two: on Valentine's Day some of us like to get a little bit sexual.

I'm in.

But for those of us who maybe see a pair of handcuffs and start to feel a little bit uncomfortable

or feel like everything just got really forced, try going sexy in a bit of a light hearted way.

I would suggest accompanying this experience with a light hearted card.

Share your sentiments but also ease the mood down a little bit.

Follow it up with a sexy and fun game like sexy truth or dare.

Go ahead.

Pick a stick.

What's one place in the house where you've always wanted to have sex?

It's time to christen it!

I feel so naughty!

Gift idea number three: A lot of times on Valentine's Day, people give their significant

others a teddy bear that carries a secret message inside.

I love you.

I don't think we need any new stuffed animals.

If your partner was born in the 90s, I would suggest getting him or her something that's

actually nostalgic to their past.

Nintendo 64, for example, and Super Mario 64.

No!

Gift idea number four: on Valentine's Day we sometimes have these elaborate visions

of going on a hiking trip and spending the night together underneath the stars but let's get real.

With bugs and dropping February temperatures, sometimes that's not as much fun as it seems.

Here's a better idea: go on out.

Have a fun date wherever you live and then come home, strike up a cedar candle, and put

these glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.

Kick back and enjoy the nature scene in the comfort of your own home.

Gift idea number five:

We often buy lingerie with the expectation that we're gonna have a crazy mind-blowing

night but sometimes we put them on and we're just not feeling it.

For those moments, keep in mind you can still be intimate without getting into your intimates.

Try having a spa night at home with your significant other.

I put this kit together which includes a bath bomb, some massage oils, face masks.

The whole shebang to bring the spa to your house.

Oh yeah.

I think I'm rubbing soap on my body.

Gift number six:

On Valentine's Day, people often go out to fancy candle lit dinners at expensive restaurants

But the truth is, sometimes if you don't make those reservations early enough in advance,

you can get shut out of all the good places.

Also, even if you do get in, it can get a little bit pricey.

So, here's the better idea.

Light a candle, pop on your favorite fancy dress and make a fancy dinner at home.

And there you have it.

Six ideas for you how you can make your Valentine's Day a little bit more special and unique.

Thanks for watching.

See you next time and happy day of love!
