BV36 How to Know Who to Serve - Duration: 8:26.

In this video, I'm going to describe how you identify your market and how you specify your

Avatar.

Hi there, Matts Rehnstrom here, Shaper of Business Excellence.

And welcome to this series where I go through all of these important business excellence

components.

And um, they are very important for you because if you can understand them, then you can excel

in them.

And if you excel in them then you will build or improve your business quite a lot I would

say.

So they're very important and also the relationship between them.

As I said in one of the earlier videos when I started this series, I said that people

are working within one or two or three of these components.

But others are working with one or two or three of other components and they never talked

to each other because there's separate departments or separate levels in the organization.

They don't understand that everything here is like a mesh.

You need to talk to each other.

You need to understand others' components as well as your own.

You can't just excel in your own if you don't excel in the others as well.

Or understand them pretty well, I would say.

So that's why this is so important.

We have them for a couple of videos we've been looking at a higher level of these components.

And in the, I think it was two videos ago, we dived into the business model.

Where I talked about these different nine components that we have within the business

model and that the business model components like shooting away into connecting to a lot

of the other components.

We have a couple of these components in this chart that connect to a lot of the other components.

And we talked about then, the value proposition in the earlier video.

But today I want to talk to you about the customer segments and how do you get into

what segments, what customers do you have and that we will do

then if we move down to the market identification.

Here, we can see that the market is not just the market, it's out there, it's the market.

We don't really know it's a fuzzy if it's like in the cloud, they're out there.

No, we need to understand what is out there and we need to divide this market into segments

and we want to make these markets into customers or clients.

And just to understand the difference and market is when they haven't bought from you.

A customer is when they have bought or bought from you or buying from you.

So when I'm coming into your store, if I'm walking on the street outside, I'm the market.

I'm looking into your, your display in the window and I'm "huh yeah, yeah ok" then I

walk on.

Maybe I wasn't the right, uh, the right segment in the market.

Maybe you're selling women's shoes and I'm a guy and I don't want to buy shoes for my

wife or my daughter, so I just go on.

But if I opened the door and go in and then I buy shoes from you, then I become a customer.

And there's different levels then from market to customers but I won't go into detail right

now.

Uh, so go back to the market identification and the different segments.

If we deep dive into, we zoom in a little bit more.

Then we can see that we have these customer groups as I said, or market segments.

Customers is where we want, this is what we want to deliver, market is what they, what

they look like out there.

And those two bind together, but here then we have a word that is called the Avatar.

And the Avatar is specifying in detail what your customer segment or what the what your

ideal customer look like.

What customers do you want, Oh, I want a customer like this, or I have a customer like this.

I have a customer like this and one like this and so on.

You need to describe these customers in detail.

And it could be in gender, age, it could be a what kind of income they have.

Net Worth.

It could be if they've drove in these kinds of car, if they have long hair, short hair.

If they are interested in, in fashion or not.

I mean there's a lot of things in your business that you need to look for, so there's no general

avatar script can say, oh, fill this out and you will be happy because now you will understand

everything about them.

There's basic and that basic is usually gender, age, family situation, where they live, income

level and so on.

Because most of our products that we deliver, we could target to that, but as I said, some

of them might be totally irrelevant for your business.

So you need to then specify these different avatars and if you do that, you will have

come a long way.

And I see a lot of organizations that they don't really know what clients or customers

they have because they never specify them.

They understand like elderly care, which I worked with.

Of course I understand I help elderly people because it called elderly care.

So no rocket science there, but we can go in there and look into the elderly people

that we serve.

Some might have kids that still around in the city.

Someone have a spouse, someone are totally alone.

Someone needs help at a facility or someone can take care of themselves at home.

This much a women or this much men.

And why do that, why, why is that important?

Because maybe if we're helping them out with shower and, and more intimate a things, then

it might be more a wanted from their part that a woman helps a woman and a man helps

a man.

I don't know, but that is ways that it could be in your business as well.

So you need to go into and understand all those different segments because these different

segments have different requirements, different wants and needs.

And I will get back to that in the next video.

Uh, so if you, if we zoom out, we'll see that this market identification moves over to the

next one, the next component.

So here we have a relationship that is very important.

So we'll refine the segments to avatars that we have found in this segment work and we

will them deep dive into and understand what can we deliver for them.

And then we will put the, the product portfolio that I talked about in the earlier video,

the previous video I would say and what we've talked about in this video.

And we will combine them into then to understanding all the details of the wants and needs.

But that's for the next video.

And if you want to have this poster, because you can download it for free.

Just click the link below and we'll take you to a page where you can download it.

As I said, it's free.

Then you can follow along.

You can read more in detail because it's hard to see on this video and you can print it

out if you like to.

Um, as I said, understand it in more depth.

With that said, let's go and shape our business for excellence.

How to Have a Fun Date Night When You Have to Be Up Early the Next Day - Duration: 4:21.

- In this video, we're gonna talk about how to have

a fun date night when you know you have to

get up early the very next day.

So if you're a professional, you'll know

that there are times when you just have to

wake up early in the morning.

In fact, I go through entire strings of time

where I've gotta be up at 4:00 a.m.,

catch a flight, go out, do everything I've gotta do,

and a date night just doesn't seem to fit in

with that, you know?

I know that on the very last night,

when I'm here with my partner,

and I've gotta get up in the morning and get on a flight,

the last thing I wanna do is do a date night

the night before, but I also know that's the

very thing that my partners are gonna wanna do.

They're gonna wanna have a date night the night before

'cause it's their last chance to see me.

So how do you about doing that date night?

Because if you're going out watching a movie,

you're gonna be tired through the movie,

thinking about getting up in the morning.

If you go drinking, you're gonna be rough.

If you go to a big dinner, you're gonna be

full up late at night.

What makes a good date night?

I truly believe the very best date night

before you've gotta get up in the morning

is one where you're actually bonding

with the people you care about.

And there is no better way, trust me,

no better way to bond with somebody

than having a good, fun interaction with them.

And an easy way to do that is board games.

Now, if you're not somebody that's into board games,

you are missing out.

Board games have been, for a very long time,

one of the best ways for families to get together

and hang out with each other,

and they make incredibly good dates.

There are so many great board games.

You can even just Google good board games

for two people or for couples,

and you'll find a ton of great games.

But finding a simple board game that you and your partner

can play late at night makes a wonderful date night.

Something I do often with that is I'll add

some chocolate fondue to it,

so we'll sit down, and we'll eat some chocolate fondue.

They sell these little cups that put a candle in it,

and you melt the chocolate.

And then you're just dipping grapes

into the chocolate fondue.

It's easy to prepare, dipping a grape into

chocolate fondue tastes amazing.

But you've got chocolate fondue and fruit

while playing a board game,

you're gonna do a number of things.

One, it's an easy date for you.

There's no traveling involved, you don't have to

go anywhere, you're not gonna get drunk.

It's good, fun times 'cause you're enjoying it,

and you're eating good food.

But for your partner, it's amazing, as well.

Because they get to bond with you,

they get to have a wonderful experience,

they can take pictures of the fondue cup

and put it online.

And they're gonna remember that.

So while you're traveling, nothing else they do

is gonna compare.

They might watch some movies without you,

but that's not gonna compare to it, right?

Because if you went to a movie together,

when you're sitting in a movie,

you're just in the dark and the silence.

You're not really interacting.

They're not gonna be able to get this experience

with anyone else, and that's gonna make them miss you.

And when they think back to the last time they

thought of you, they're gonna think back to

having fun, having a great time, having good

conversation, laughing and eating good food.

And that's all the things you want your partner

to be thinking about you when you're not around.

So if you want a really good fun date night

when you know you've gotta get up early the next day,

trust me.

Nothing is gonna beat spending a night in together,

playing a board game, and having some chocolate fondue

or some kind of snack on the side of the that.

It's gonna go down a treat.

Now, something that people tend to tell me

causes them to struggle in their dating life,

even if they're in a relationship with somebody,

is confidence.

Some people say they wouldn't feel confident

organizing a date night like that because they

feel that their partner expects them to take

them to dinner, expects them to go to a movie.

Or some people are just single because they don't feel they

have the confidence to go out there and meet somebody.

If this is you, if I'm describing you,

then I have made a video just for you.

This video is all about how to be more confident.

So if you'd like to be more confident when it

comes to your dating life, then what you've gotta

do is look for my closed Facebook group.

It's called Confidential Dating Advice for Professionals.

You can find it by looking around, there should be a

link somewhere in the description.

You can click on that link, and it will take you

through to my private group.

And in that group, you can come there,

and you can get access to this video that talks to you

about how to be more confident.

So if that's something that you think you struggle with,

if you think that being more confident might help you

in your dating life, then make sure you come across.

Request access to that group.

And there's some questions that you have to answer first.

If you don't answer the questions, you won't get

into the group.

But if you do, you'll be able to get access

to that hidden video and see what it's all about.

So make sure you go there and do that,

and, of course, don't forget in a couple of days

got another video coming out on this channel,

which you're gonna wanna make sure you watch out for,

as well, with some more dating tips to help you.

So go there, join Confidential Dating Advice

and thank you ever so much for watching this video.

I'll see you the next one.

Can You Tell I Wasn't Born With Vibrato? Listen! - Duration: 4:35.

What's the condition of your vibrato?

Non-existent?

Shakey?

Unpredictable?

If you can't sing with vibrato or your vibrato's unreliable, your chances to be a great singer

are almost "ZIP"!!!

But even if you weren't born with a natural vibrato, you can develop vibrato.

If your vibrato's inconsistent or unpredictable there's a way to fix it.

Hi, I'm Chuck Gilmore with Power To Sing

Let me repeat this because it's the main message: YOU CAN DEVELOP VIBRATO...even if

you don't have a natural vibrato from birth.

You CAN improve vibrato that's out of control.

You CAN train your voice to have an ideal vibrato!!!!

I wasn't born with vibrato.

When I was 16 years old my singing teacher told me that if I didn't have a natural

vibrato, I didn't have it.

For 28 more years I believed her.

She had her masters degree in vocal performance!

Why wouldn't I believe her?

My singing and my life changed when I developed vibrato in my own voice.

Here's how it happened.

Many years ago I was taking voice lessons with one of Seth Rigg's associate teachers.

(Seth Riggs was Michael Jackson's vocal coach).

After I told her I didn't have vibrato, she said anyone can develop vibrato gave me

exercises that induced it in my voice.

With one simple exercise, I immediately began to feel vibrato in my voice for the first

time!

Within a few weeks I was using vibrato in songs.

Over time, it improved and my confidence in my voice skyrocketed.

It was like a miracle to me.

There's no doubt in my mind that without vibrato I wouldn't been cast in the roles

of Don Quixote, Fagin, Peron, The King, Daddy Warbucks, Scrooge, the Tin Man, John Dickinson,

Horace Vandergelder, Captain Corcoran, and many others.

I wouldn't have auditioned at all!

There are special exercises that induce vibrato in your voice.

It's like any skill.

With the right help you can learn vibrato and sing like you've been born with it.

This video is the first in a series of four videos that will teach you how to conquer

vibrato.

In my next video I'll teach you a powerful exercise I've never before shown publicly.

I used to think it was wrong to fake vibrato.

However, If you don't have it naturally, how else can you learn?

When you first start learning vibrato, it does feel awkward and artificial.

But with practice, it's as if you've always had it.

Does this sound fake to you?

[demo ah on descending 5 tone scale] I couldn't do that until I was 44 years old.

Some people don't like their vibrato, because they can't control it or it's to fast

or slow.

No problem.

It's possible to stop vibrato, and retrain your voice a step at a time.

You can learn to be in complete control of your vibrato...so you sound professional and

confident.

Your singing and your life will be changed forever when you can sing with vibrato.

It improves your pitch, tone, and confidence.

Your voice sounds professional.

More importantly, you start getting solos, call backs, leading roles, and compliments

about your voice.

Everything about your singing gets better!

And when that happens, your life gets better too!

Within the next few days, I'll release my second video.

In this video, I'll help you develop vibrato in your voice.

Before today, did you KNOW that you could develop vibrato?

Or did you think it was impossible?

Can you tell I wasn't born with vibrato?

Let me know in the comments section below.

I'm Chuck Gilmore with Power to Sing.

You can sing higher with beauty, confidence and power...and vibrato!

Please join me in my next video and learn how to get vibrato in your voice.

Creating Networks That Last A Lifetime - Duration: 2:41.

Hi, I'm Jann Weitzel. The proud President of Cottey College. I have been amazed when

I watched the young women who arrived on that first day and then when they walk

across the stage of graduation. They come from all different places,

both physically and emotionally. They may come as shy, they may come as leaders, they may

come as introverts, they may come as extroverts. But when they leave, they all

leave with a level of confidence, a level of leadership, a level of resiliency that

prepares them for whatever the next step in life might be.

One of the greatest benefits of attending in all women's college is that we ensure that students

are learning in a collaborative environment. Students know from the very

first day that they enter our classrooms that they are taking responsibility for what they're learning.

They don't sit in the back of a lecture hall with a

hundred students. They're right up front with their professors and with their colleagues.

Taking part, giving their opinions, finding their voices, and

ensuring that their voices will never be silenced. At a women's only institution,

and here at Cottey students create networks that last a lifetime.

You will find support. You will find support in the classrooms, you will find support in

the suites, you will find support in all of the offices. Most importantly, you will

find support of the other students. You will have amazing role models,

young women who want you to succeed. Parents let me tell you this is an

amazingly supportive institution. Every office, every faculty member, we all know

that we have to work together for the education of our young women.

And the community of Nevada is very welcoming. Our students know that when they go out

and they complete an internship or they do community service,

the community of Nevada respects them and admires them and

welcomes them with open arms. What's really interesting is that every year we

have an event called founders and students will come back to campus.

Students who graduated 60-70 years ago or maybe just two years ago.

They tell me repeatedly it's like they never left. They have the opportunity to create a network for a lifetime.

Cottey College, creators of incredible futures.
