Navigating the University's online resources - Duration: 2:19.

Hi there. My name is Danielle and I'm from the course planning team here at Stop 1

and today I'll be taking you through some key tips on how to navigate important

unimelb systems. Let's get started.

This is going to be your home base,

students.unimelb.

It has all the important links and tabs to get you where you need to be.

So if you get lost you'll know where to go.

There are many useful resources here at your fingertips.

You can go to study overseas to view information on applying to go on exchange

or you can click on admin to access important information that you need to know for your course

including things like reenrollment and exams

and assessments.

Your my.unimelb - your student portal - is probably one of the spaces you'll be spending

the most time throughout the duration of your course.

You can access my.unimelb via the Home tab on the students.unimelb page.

It's important to ensure that you check your e-mails regularly so you don't miss out on any important

communications from us.

You can click here to view your study plan

and enroll into your subjects for your course.

Once you have enrolled into subjects the next step would be to register for your classes.

The easiest way to do this is to click here to register for your classes

and view your timetable for the semester.

You may be wondering what the 'LMS' is for.

Well the 'LMS' is the learning management system.

It is your central student management hub

and it is used for all of your learning content

and any subject communications you may have

with your subject coordinators.

Now, where do you go if you have general questions about studying at the university,

for example where can you find out more about applying for leave?

Fear not, because we have a central F.A.Q system called ask.unimelb.

Simply type in key words for your question

and a list of responses will populate for you.

Sometimes we all need a bit of human interaction.

It's very simple to book an appointment with an advisor should you need further assistance

with course planning. All you have to do is head to admin,

click on Stop 1, then book an advisor

and follow the prompts to secure your appointment.

I will show you

How to make a Logo Design

in Adobe Photoshop

Like this

If you need the download link of this software,

First of all

take a document

in "Adobe Photoshop" .

Select "Crop Tool"

and resize your document if needed .

Select "Text Tool"

and type your text in the document .

Then

Select "Move Tool"

and place your text in the center of the document .

Press "Ctrl/Cmd+t"

for resize

if your needed .

By fixing the position

press "Enter" or click here

And change the font also.

Right click on Background layer

and click on postcard .

I'm gonna resize my text

a little bit .

Now, right click on the text layer

and click on

"New 3D Extrusion from selected layer" .

Select your first material layer

and change the material to Material Gold .

Change the color what you want .

Then

Press OK !!

Select the 3rd material layer

and change the material to Organic Orangepeel .

Now...

Go back to your layer panel .

Select both layer and merge 3D layers .

Right click on the layer

and render 3D layer .

Wait for sometimes for finishing the render .

Right click on the layer again and Rasterize 3D .

Select the "Selection tool"

and make selection on your 3D text .

Now...

Press "Ctrl/Cmd+c" for copy

and paste it in a new layer

by clicking "Ctrl/Cmd+v" .

Hold "Ctrl/Cmd" key

and click

on the layer thumbnail

for making selection .

Go to "Select" menu

then "Modify"

then "Contract Selection" .

Make value 4

as you want

and click OK .

Press "Ctrl/Cmd+c" for copy again

and paste in a new layer

by clicking "Ctrl/ Cmd+v" .

Select second layer and apply color on it .

Now add some color correction .

Add also Hue/Saturation .

Then change the color what you want .

Now

it's optional ...

You can add level,

curves

and so on.

And finally

add your company name by selecting

"Text Tool"

Thats it.

your logo is ready to use .

Roger Federer tables minor complaint at Australian Open - and he has changed tactics - Blog News - Duration: 3:03.

 Federer has eased his way into the third round with victories against Denis Istomin and Dan Evans

 He will take on American Taylor Fritz on Friday for a place in the last 16. But during his outing against Evans this morning, Federer noted how the new balls were fluffing earlier than usual

 New balls are introduced every seven and nine games, alternatively, but the world No 3 does not think this year's brand are holding up well

 "I think balls get fluffy after six games," Federer told Eurosport. "They're definitely different than last year and I think the courts play slower than in Perth at the Hopman Cup

 "So there was a minor adjustment to be made. The spin doesn't take off like crazy, so I do believe the flatter shot has more impact

 "Then after six strong service games from each guy you are playing with fluffy balls until the fresh ones come in, then it's fast again

 "So I think at night it's going to be more of a test and it's going to feel heavier than years past but I'm not sure

" Federer needed two tiebreaks to beat Evans in straight sets this morning. But because both players regularly used a backhand slice he was not able to play as aggressively as planned

 "So today was a different kind of match, so I won't over judge this one and how the conditions feel, but I do believe you get rewarded by playing aggressive tennis still," Federer added

  "I would like to play offensive tennis here for sure. "I enjoyed the match I must say

There was a lot of slice going on and with that it's very interesting. "You have to move your legs very well, and if you don't do that you will frame shots

 "Or if you are not committed coming forward you pay the price. It's a cat and mouse game
