Own Your Surveillance | Synology - Duration: 1:54.
There are times when video surveillance can be really useful.
When an important delivery goes missing.
When you aren't sure what your loved ones are up to.
When you're traveling or working and you want some peace of mind.
Many so-called cloud surveillance solutions don't live up to expectations.
Slow uploads to the cloud can lead to missed recordings or delayed notifications.
Limited storage makes it impossible to review footage from last month...
unless you're paying extra.
Which could become extra extra, since terms can change at any time.
But with Synology, you can master your surveillance system by building a private cloud.
Reliable, scalable, accessible storage
on equipment you own and control.
Synology NAS gives you a place to store and watch recordings.
As many as you need, as long as you want, with no recurring fees.
Because recordings aren't sent to the cloud first,
you get faster, more complete recordings and notifications.
Advanced features and smart analytics help you get real-time alerts when motion is detected
and filter through days of footage to find the exact moment you're looking for.
There's even a mobile app for on-the-go viewing
to keep track of your home or business from anywhere, on any device.
Not to mention, it works with thousands of camera brands
and scales to your needs.
Plus, Synology's intuitive software is continuously evolving and getting better,
So you can accomplish more!
Store and share files,
stream multimedia to your TV or smart devices, and more.
Own your cloud and own your surveillance.
Go further and get mastery, with Synology.

The Best Royal Movies to Help You Truly Understand the Monarchy | Royal family stories - Duration: 7:40.
Last year was a good one for movies about the Royal Family: Olivia Colman just earned a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her performance as Queen Anne in The Favourite, and Margot Robbie earned acclaim for becoming Elizabeth I in Mary Queen of Scots. But do you ever wonder how those on-screen monarchs are related to the current reigning queen? You can trace the royal succession though these movies, which feature every king and queen from the present back to the year 1558.
Helen Mirren has actually played three queens on-screen: Elizabeth II here, Elizabeth I in a British television series, and Queen Charlotte in The Madness of King George. This one focuses on Elizabeth I's working relationship with Tony Blair in the wake of Princess Diana's death, and what that says about the Royal Family's place modern Britain. Mirren scored a Best Actress Oscar for this role, and the film was nominated for Best Picture but lost to The Departed.
But who is the current queen's father? If you remember The King's Speech, he's the one — played by Colin Firth — who had to overcome a stammer when he unexpectedly became king following his brother's abdication from the throne. Making movies about the House of Windsor must be lucky, because The King's Speech won the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Actor.
If you're more interested in the reasoning behind Edward VIII's surprise abdication, Madonna's got you covered. Yes that Madonna — she directed a movie about the romance between Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson that led the king to give up the crown.
As it turns out, there aren't that many cultural depictions of George V, the father of George VI and Edward VIII; his life just wasn't as juicy as his sons'. Instead, see him pop up in this Oscar-nominated documentary — which, fine, is also about Edward VIII's abdication, but is narrated by Orson Welles!
This film is based on the real life of one of the royal servants, Abdul Karim. Queen Victoria (Judi Densch) develops a deep friendship with him, much to the chagrin of Edward VII (Eddie Izzard). This is the first of many films on this list that show how cutthroat behind-the-scenes maneuvering can be when the royal court gets jealous of those who earn a monarch's favor.
Or, if you're more interested in the queen during the time of her ascension, this follows Victoria (Emily Blunt) as she takes the throne following the death of her uncle, King William IV (Jim Broadbent). Like Victoria and Abdul, this also shows the pressures a monarch feels as different parties try to earn her loyalty — though this time, instead of a servant's friendship, it affects her budding possible-romance with Prince Albert (Rupert Friend).
This movie is chock full of royals: Not only does it have the aforementioned Mirren portrayal of Queen Charlotte, it has a one-two punch of Nigel Hawthorne and Rupert Everett as George III and George IV. In it, the younger monarch questions the sanity of his father in the hopes of seizing power. One of the issues riling up the elder king is his loss of America, in case you're wondering which king was featured in Hamilton.
There are other movies, like 1948's Bonnie Prince Charlie, that might give you a better sense of what it was like during King George II's reign. But since that doesn't seem to be streamable, enjoy Richard Griffiths hamming it up as the monarch in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
The Rob Roy starring Liam Neeson may be better known, but it doesn't have any royals in it. Instead, check out this 1953 Disney feature, where the hero leads his men against King George I's forces. Eric Pohlmann, who plays the king, has also played George III in two other hard-to-find movies: Dr. Syn, Alias the Scarecrow and John Paul Jones.
This year's big royal Oscar contender paints a picture of Queen Anne so off-the-wall, you might not believe it could be possible. But however exaggerated it may be, it is based in fact: Queen Anne (Olivia Colman) really did have a, well, close relationship with the Duchess of Marlborough (Rachel Weisz), and it really was upended with the arrival of the Duchess's cousin, Abigail (Emma Stone). But whether it's entirely accurate or not, it's a juicy tale about how the three women try to manipulate each other.
You'll have to count this one as covering the reign of both William and Mary, since screen depictions of Queen Mary II are scant. But what it lacks in queens it makes up for in adventure: In this movie, Captain Kidd is a pirate who swindles the crown, and also convinces King William he's an honest sailor and gets a commission to become a sanctioned privateer. Adventure and romance on the high seas ensue.
In another swashbuckling adventure, Errol Flynn's Peter Blood is sold into slavery by King James II (played by Vernon Steele, known for his silent films). But don't worry: Blood gets the upper hand again when James II gets deposed in the Glorious Revolution.
Many of these movies have had fantastic female performances, but Stage Beauty reminds of a time when women were forbidden from acting. In the film, Charles II (Rupert Everett again) is the ruler who finally entertains the notion of seeing a female actress (played by Claire Danes) on stage. If that sounds too stuffy, John Malkovich plays Charles II in the much raunchier Johnny Depp movie The Libertine.
Two acting heavyweights square off in this one: Sir Alec Guinness takes on the role of King Charles I as his throne is threatened by Oliver Cromwell, played by Richard Harris. Although, if you simply must see Rupert Everett play a king for the third time, he plays Charles I in a hard-to-find movie called To Kill a King.
James I is only a child in this 2018 movie, but the danger he's put in — and the power struggles between Mary (Saoirse Ronan) and her cousin, Elizabeth I (Margot Robbie) — shows how treacherous it was to be within striking distance of the throne.
Elizabeth shows some of the events from Mary Queen of Scots from a new angle: Both movies show Elizabeth I (Cate Blanchett this time) as a queen determined to rule without a husband. But on-screen versions of Elizabeth I aren't entirely without romance: In Shakespeare in Love, the queen shows up to offer some aid to the central couple in a Best Supporting Actress-winning cameo by Judi Dench. (So, the final royal count is: two Denches, two Mirrens, and three Everetts.)

Why You Should Start a Podcast (as a business owner) - Duration: 7:03.
What is going on? Hello! I am really glad to be on again for another Facebook Live
and I want to do a different spin on it this time around, I want to
talk really casually, honestly and openly about why you should start a podcast as
a business owner. Just real quick again my name is Paul Stennett and I am a podcast
launch consultant. I help entrepreneurs specifically experts, coaches and
consultants to launch, grow and monetize their podcasts connected to their
businesses. So if you are in that group - you're one of those people leave a
comment down below that says "launch" and I will give you more information about we can
work together or any of that stuff. Anyways, I want to talk about why you
should launch a podcast and what a podcast is and what a podcast is not. So I hope
you get a ton of value from this talk. Really, really quickly: for the past year
I've been working with a lot of clients one-on-one on their podcast mainly on
the side of producing their shows. And I've seen everything
any type of podcast you can think of I've seen it: you have the narrative type
I've worked on those. You have the interviews, I've worked in those. Solo
episodes, I've worked on those. And I can tell you your podcast is your platform
and on your platform you are the kingmaker you are the taste-maker. Meaning,
you decide what's cool and whatever is on your platform is you exposing it to
the people who are participating on that platform
so if a guest comes on, the guest is respected because they are on your show.
That's how I want you to think about your podcast as you go about creating it. But why
should you start a podcast? There are 4 top reasons why, I'll go
through them right now. One of the reasons why you should start a podcast is that a podcast
builds your thought leadership. This is your space where you can really
demonstrate your expertise, demonstrate your personality, show people why you are
doing what you're doing and why you're respected in your field. And I'm
talking specifically to entrepreneurs right now. So if you're a hobbyist, this
may not be for you. If you're you have a business, if you're a marketer, if you're
a coach, if you're an expert in something, this is a platform that you can show
yourself in a really authentic way to your audience that you're a thought
leader. Alright The second thing is: it increases your
value on the internet. How I see podcasts - when I talk to all my clients this is
what I want to see for their podcasts as well - is that your podcast is like a
valuable piece of land that you bought, right? You've bought this piece of land - it's
located somewhere in the virtual world somewhere on the internet - and you can
buy the piece of land you can leave it right there
it will go up in value the more you add, the longer you own it and the more you
take care of it, right? But if you can build your empire on top, if you can build
your mansion on top of it, the value on of that property, the value of that asset
that you have will increase exponentially. and why I think about it like that is, as long
as you're consistent on it it will continue to grow and it will
develop a momentum of its own. So remember that. It's a valuable piece of asset, one -
appreciating asset, it is like a piece of land - it will grow over time, and the
more you invest in it is the more returns you will get from it. Number 3, it
builds an authentic relationship. Now I can tell you from my personal experience
that there are people who I have grown to really respect and appreciate anything
that they say, and anything that they sell mainly because they had a podcast and
they demonstrated consistently that, one, they can show up consistently they can show
up on time they can deliver consistent value and over time people like Bedros Keuilian,
people like Lewis Howes, Tim Ferriss, Gary Vee, Andy Frisella, Ed Mylett
people like that. They show up consistently and over time you develop a real authentic
relationship with them. I mean, you can only fake it so much, but once you've
gone into hundreds of episodes at some point you're gonna have to
expose your true voice and your true self. But once you do that,
and you have the authentic relationship created, you deepen your affinity with
your listeners, who in turn will become customers of your brand. And that's the fourth
thing why you need to have a podcast: is it pre-sells your products,
pre-sells your services, pre-sales you and your expertise to your customers,
especially if you're exposing your core business through your podcast to your
listeners. If you've been showing up, if you've been delivering value time and
time again. Without making any offers you will get customers coming but if you do
make offers consistently as well, you will get
customers coming in and being pre-sold on everything that
you're selling. So let's talk quickly about what your podcast is not. Now I see
this a lot and this is something I want to get across I wanna ensure you
definitely understand: a podcast is not your business card. A podcast is not your
lead magnet. It's way deeper and it's much more rich than that. Think of your
podcast as a TV channel, or think of your podcast as a an email list. Imagine it:
they've gone pass the opt-in wall, they've gone pass the business card and
they're dealing with, they're doing business with you
on your podcast. That's all want to view it. Don't think about holding anything
back especially if you're an expert, a coach or a consultant. Listen, I
can tell you something ten times but until I walk you through it
you won't necessarily have all the benefit of me telling you something,
right? So you can tell people something on your podcast and you want to be able
to give full value, not holding anything back on your podcast and that
will get you the thought leadership that will get you your value increasing on
the internet. That will get you your authentic relationship and that will pre-
sell your customers so that they want to flood to you because you know what you're
talking about you can demonstrate the value, they understand it I know they want
even more from you. Pour into your audience and they will pour money,
attention and respect into your business and into your pockets. Which is
want ultimately at the end of the day. To have an impact and also to make make money and
make a living and a life from that impact. It's a rainy Friday evening, end of the week
it's at 6:55 p.m. Friday here in Jamaica. I hope you learn a lot from that and you
go ahead and you start creating your amazing podcast and if you do want
help to create your amazing podcast and you are an expert, a consultant or
coach and you have been doing business for a while and you are
selling high value products and you want to scale it even further: you may want to
work with me. And if you want to do that, I want to leave a comment down below that
says "launch" and I reach out to you with more information. 1 - your podcast
helps to build your thought leadership. 2 - it helps you to increase your value on the
Internet. 3 - it helps you to build an authentic
relationship, and 4 - pre-sells your products and services to your
customers. All right don't forget, you're the taste maker of your platform. Go out
there and do something great! Talk soon
