you don't need to be told what to do you already know at least enough to get
started with what you want to do that's not the problem and even if what you
know isn't the very best option it doesn't matter that much because what
really matters isn't so much what you do but how you do it there's no great
secret to success there's no golden key all you have to know is how to turn what
you already know into action let's take health for example the three main points
for your health is exercise, better sleep, better nutrition, pretty much
everything else is just a variation of one of those points so what use is it in
you going to listen to someone tell you want the very best diet or exercise plan
for you is if you're not even working on the three main points. how are you even
going to be able to do it if you can't do what you already know? and the thing
is more knowledge isn't going to save you and it definitely didn't save me
By 2016 I had thousands of hours of studying under my belt and more belly
than I care to admit as well despite all my exercise and diet knowledge I'd
slipped into the obese category the problem is that knowledge is worthless
unless it's turned into action and that was definitely the case for me I knew all
kinds of different diet plans all kinds of advanced exercise techniques the
problem was I wasn't doing any of them I was afraid that I was going to make a
mistake that would cost me my health so instead of applying what I already knew
I kept searching for that golden nugget of knowledge that would allow me to
craft the perfect plan but that turned out to be the very mistake that cost me
my health because in the meantime bad habits were forming my diet was
slipping and my exercise was non-existent
what put my health journey
back on track wasn't finding that nugget but rather the realization that a lot
of people who know a whole lot less than I do
we're in a lot better shape than I was
after some contemplation I realized that it was because they were putting what
knowledge they had into practice while I was just sitting around and not doing
anything with what I had. so then instead of looking for that nugget I started
working on ways to apply what I already knew and since then I haven't touched the
vast majority of what I've studied but I still managed to lose a lot of weight
and keep it off just by applying the basics consistently
and I know this
problem isn't unique to me every time I hear someone explain why they are overweight
they always have a list of excuses such as "all the soda I drink" "its my
portion sizes" "I don't get out for walks enough" and then they go on to say how
they want to do the latest fad diet or exercise plan but need to learn more
about it but the truth is they don't need to learn more about it they already
know what at least one of the main reasons why they're heavier than they'd like
to be is. and if that was the only thing they worked on they would be a lot
closer to where they want to be all they really need to learn is how to do it
and that is the purpose of my channel
