Fenty Beauty is giving us options, okay?

Hola, Chanellies! Welcome back to my channel, welcome to my channel if you've never been here before. My name is Jaila, also known as JaiChanellie on the Internet

So that is where you can find and follow me. And today girl, we are trying out the new Fenty Beauty foundation shade

385.

Um, let's just get right into the video.

So we all know Fenty Beauty, headed by Rihanna. Fenty Beauty launched originally in the fall of 2017 and they launched with 40 different

foundation shades. 40 inclusive-- hush phone!

So but basically we know that Fenty Beauty originally launched 40 foundation shades. Honey! They were super inclusive

they got darker than we've usually seen in the beauty industry and

recently, they just added 10 more foundation shades to their already extensive collection

So they have a total of 50 foundation shades now. When I found out she [Rihanna] was coming out with ten new shades

I was like, "Bet. Let me go ahead and pick that up." Let me get my phone.

Okay, so originally I picked up 360 which is for tan skin with neutral undertones (I'm on the Fenty Beauty website)

I'm also going to try out the color

385

Which says for tan to deep skin with neutral undertones. We're going to see if

360 is indeed my perfect match or if I could work with 385 as well.

Your girl got some samples from Sephora because I was not bout to buy two bottles of $34 foundation. I was not bout to spend

$68 for a YouTube video.

So we got some samples and I'm going to try it out with a sample and whichever one fits better is the one that I'll

purchase a full size of. 360 is gonna be on my left hand side, 385 is gonna be on my

anatomical right side. Okay, so I forgot that I own this Fenty Beauty primer.

I try not to use it unless I'm using it with the actual foundation because it's expensive.

So we have the Fenty Beauty primer and that is what I'm going to prime with today. Do I have any left? Oh

my goodness

Oh my goodness

You gotta be kidding me

So this is going to be 360 on the left-hand side of my face.

And I am going to apply a

healthy amount of the foundation

because as you can see, I

do have a lot of hyperpigmentation

and

scarring and stuff. And as you can see 360 looks a little light for your girl. Wow.

I am going to go in with a second layer because I'm a full coverage girl.

So this is layer two of

Fenty Beauty foundation in the color 360.

Okay, so this is 360.

and

Now I'm going to put this sponge away. A new clean sponge that we're going to use for 385 on this side.

So now this is the Fenty Beauty foundation in the color

385 so let's go ahead and blend 385 out. So this is the first layer of 385.

We are going to go into that second layer

AHHHH! AHH! OH MY GOD!

So, what do y'all think? First of all I can definitely see a difference in between the two colors.

360 is definitely looking like it's matching my chest area better.

But before I applied 385, 360 looked like it was too light for me.

So I'm gonna go ahead and finish the rest of my face even though I'm looking two-toned because you can definitely tell the difference

between the two colors. I'm just gonna finish my face and take one for the teaM, take one for YouTube.

I'll come back to you guys with the final look and my final thoughts.

Okay, so I'm back with the finished look and this is what we have. Again,

I used Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r foundation in the shade 360 on this side of my face and

385 on this side of my face. Can y'all tell a difference with my full face on?

Do y'all have a preference of which one you like better with the full face?

I can still see a very slight difference in the foundation

especially on my forehead because I don't really apply any other products to my forehead other than my

foundation. So I can definitely see the difference in the foundation.

Less with the rest of the face because you have products layered on it.

But again, I think I've come to the conclusion that right now 360

absolutely can work for me but in my summer months when it starts to get a little warmer

I can definitely rock 385 and be completely good. So...

which one am I gonna purchase?

I have no idea y'all. I might end up just purchasing both foundations so I can be Gucci for the rest of the year.

I want to thank you to Fenty Beauty for coming out with some options like we have

options your girl has options and I really appreciate that. And the foundation, again

I love the fact that the foundation does not transfer it all, it looks like my skin

but better, it still concealed a lot of the hyperpigmentation and scarring that I had down here without looking too cakey.

The foundation is flawless. The foundation is perfect

HOW TO DRAW your DRAGON 3 | Drawing Toothless and Light Fury in Procreate - Duration: 7:09.

Have you seen How to draw you dragon 3 yet?

I mean, how to train your dragon 3 of course.

Don't toothless and light fury look cute together?

In this video I'd like to show you how to draw toothless and light fury step by step.

I'll be drawing these dragons in Procreate on an iPad pro

but of course my tips also apply to other digital art software.

We'll start off by drawing two ovals for the heads of toothless and light fury.

I'm using my Basic Flo brush for this, but any sketching brush should be fine.

As you can see these ovals are a bit egg shaped, the oval is more pointy where the nose of the dragons will be.

Next I'll draw these ovals to indicate where the top of the dragons heads are and sketch in the eyes.

I'll also use oval shapes to draw these.. I don't know what to call them.. bumps on their heads?

I sketch in the necks to make it look like toothless and light fury are making a heart shape with their necks.

Let's lower the opacity of this sketch layer and make a new layer on top.

This new layer can be used to refine the sketch and add some more detail.

Merge the two sketch layers by squeezing them together with your fingers.

On a new layer beneath this layer, we'll start painting a background.

I'm using a big airbrush to lay down some blue tones.

On another layer I'll start laying down the base colors of toothless and light fury.

Using one of my custom blenders I blend the base color of toothless, smoothing everything out a bit.

I use the same process when painting the base color of light fury.

I start adding more contrast and colors and blend in between passes. I build up the shape of the dragons.

Let's lower the opacity of the sketch layer. We'll make a new layer on top now, to paint over the sketch and get rid of all the lines.

Let's just merge the layers. This will make blending and refining edges easier.

I can use an eraser to refine the edges of toothless now.

Using the Darken Line brush from my basic Flo brush set, I'll add dark details to the head of toothless.

I use the smudge tool with one of my custom blenders to smooth out the shadow areas.

Using the Lighten Line brush I'll add light details to the dragon's head and I'll use the eraser again to refine the edge some more.

Time to add some spikes to toothless' head.

I'll paint in the shadow first, using my Darken Line brush.

I'll soften these shadows using the smudge tool again.

I'll draw the spikes using the Line brush

Using the Soft Light brush, I'll add some more light to toothless.

I blend some areas a bit by using my Grainy Blender, this adds some subtle texture to the dragon skin.

Let's get started drawing Light Fury next.

I'll grab the Lighten Line brush again and start refining the edges of Light Fury.

I'll also add some subtle, scaly texture.

Next step is to draw in the darker lines using the Darken Line brush.

I'll start drawing the eyes for instance, the nose and a line for the mouth.

I'll switch back to the Lighten Line brush again now, adding more light to Light Fury.

Light Fury could use some more sparkle. I'll grab my Glitter brushes for this.

The Subtle Confetti brush will add some nice subtle sparkle to the skin of Light Fury.

We'll use the Glitter Ribbon brush to add some glitter detail to the eye of Light Fury.

We'll have to turn the brush first though, you can just turn the brush with your fingers here.

With the Subtle Stars brush we'll add some glitter to Toothless as well.

Let's go to the background! I'll duplicate the background layer first

his way I'll have a back up in case I don't like what I'll be doing next. It's a way of saving your progress.

I'll grab the Glitter Streak brush to add some sparkly texture to the background.

And let's experiment with some other glitter brushes as well to add even more sparkles to the background and subtle bokeh lights.

We are almost there! Let's refine the edges of the dragons using the eraser.

This looks better!

Let's duplicate the layer with the dragons (just to have a back up) and use alpha lock on this layer.

Now we can only paint on the dragons and we can't go outside of the 'lines'.

Using the Overlay brush I'll start adding more color variation to the dragons. Like some purple/pinks to Light Fury.

Using a brush set to Color Dodge I'll add some bright highlights to the edges of the dragons.

Time for some final tweaks, I'll use the liquify tool to adjust the head of Light Fury a little bit.

I feel it is a little bit too round.

Be sure to uncheck the alpha lock on the layer though, otherwise you won't be able to use liquify.

Finally let's add a touch of love using my Valentine Brushes.

I'll add some Bokeh Hearts to the background for a subtle touch.

Using the transform tool (that little arrow at the top of your screen) we can turn around these little hearts.

And last but not least, we'll add this 'Stitch Heart' between Toothless and Light Fury.

Farabel Review | Turn-based Time Travel that Works - Duration: 4:42.

Today's video is about Farabel, a turn-based strategy game with a time-travel twist.

If this is your first time on my channel, Good mornin-afternoo-vening, I'm StefaNonsense

and gaming and geek culture is what I do.

If you're already a subscriber, welcome back!

The first thing that really jumps at you in Farabel is the blocky and minimalistic art

style.

I would've liked it to be maybe just a little bit more detailed but it does its job well

enough.

It is a hex-grid turn based strategy game in which you control a given number of units

and have to usually eliminate the enemy's given number of units.

A couple of particularities, you have two units that have to always survive each mission,

King Cendor and his Queen, Oh yeah, and they travel through time, not just as part of the

story.

The time travel aspect is used both as part of the story in the campaign as well as an

in-game mechanic.

Yes you heard me, let me unpack it for you.

The story is being told back to front.

So how does that work?

Well, due to the inherent weirdness of going back in time, and to the fact that the exact

mechanism behind these time traveling spells isn't detailed, your main two characters

are revisiting each mission in the campaign in reverse order, starting with what would

normally be the last mission.

That's not where the time travel story aspect ends, because you see, you're going back

in time which means that your characters lose levels after each mission, instead of gaining

them.

So Farabel puts you in the rather unique position of you having to downgrade your character

between missions.

You're literally level downing.

HA!

So as a developer, once you're on the time-travel path, you can't have just these things be

your only time travel nuance in the game.

I mean you could but it would've made the rest of the game just your run-of-the-mill

turn based tactics game.

Combined with the not very flashy graphics, it wouldn't be enough to set it apart.

So that's where the in-game time traveling mechanic comes into play.

The main character, Cendor, Lord of Farabel, has a time travel ability which he can cast

on any unit other than himself.

What it does, is it returns that unit to its immediately previous location and/or status.

The rub is the fact that whatever damage the unit dealt before the time travel ability

is used, doesn't get erased.

The great thing with this particularity of Farabel's time travel mechanics is that

the ability can pull double duty.

On the one hand, you can use it to basically deal double damage with the same unit.

Your turn comes, you deal some damage with a unit, the unit cannot attack anymore.

You use the ability, the unit can attack again.

Seems pretty cut and dry, depending then on the battlefield you can use this second attack

either on the same enemy or on a different one.

On the other hand, you can use the ability as a very powerful healing ability.

For instance, a unit gets hit two or maybe three times in the same turn and it still

survives.

It is extremely low on health, normally you'd most likely lose it next turn.

But if you use the time travel ability, you'll return the unit to its previous state of health,

basically regenerating all of the damage it just received.

And the same applies to one-use abilities that units have.

In some circumstances you can regenerate lost health, ability use and attacks to a unit,

making this time travel ability potentially very powerful.

You are limited to using it only three times per mission though.

The Queen character has a very useful AoE healing ability which also gets less effective

as you reverse-advance through the story.

I am quite happy to report that the missions are rather varied and your success will heavily

depend on you learning how to use these super special abilities, as well as each unit's

unique characteristics, at the right time.

The game also comes loaded with a bunch of other play modes - there's Challenge Mode

- where you get a new challenge every day.

There's a Classic mode in which you just fight against an enemy, but there's also

Defence Mode in which you take on an endless army of invaders, your goal being to survive

for as long as possible and kill as many enemies as you can..

The game also has day and night maps, with night-time basically hiding units from view

up to a certain distance.

Farabel is a surprisingly fresh take on turn based strategy mechanics, with a tongue-in-cheek

approach to its writing and a minimalistic art direction, as well as a bunch of other

modes to try out, you should definitely give it a look and maybe pick it up when it's

on sale if you want to try your hand at some lighter hearted turn-based combat.

hello everyone and welcome to the home buying process from A to Z this is

Audrey Whittington with realtor.com and today I have with me Dylan Sims our

senior product manager I'm really glad you're here I know that you just bought

a home right? Yep! Great! Well, today we're going to talk about renting versus buying and

how you decide to make that decision. yeah! It's a biggie, it's huge! So you actually

just bought a home right yeah about three years ago yeah well recent enough

right yeah so but how did you decide to buy. Rent versus buy. What was that like

for you? Yeah! Well, it was a joint decision

between my wife and I but the the decision for for buying was never an if

it was a when. Right. We've always grown up with you get married you got a kid you

buy a house and that was that was your criterion for being an adult right so

yeah we were we really thought that this was gonna be the thing that we wanted to

do and so the the really the thing that really got us was we wanted to get

settled right wanted to have a place to call our own and I had a job and it was

you know well salaried all that kind of stuff so we were ready now the question

is when you sat down and you were and you're right this is really important to

talk about that you were personally ready yeah what about financially how

did you decide if you were financially ready yeah that's a bigger question it

is we went to a lender and figured out how much we could get pre-approved from

and that was kind about one step of the process yes and then the other was me

wanting to think of it more like an investment right because home buying is

an investment so I'm taking money out of my view to funds out of my stocks sure

and basically putting them into the housing market and so one you need to

make sure that that's gonna make my returns is really what I was concerned

about okay so you were looking at tax benefits and how did you find it did you

compare like what you were gonna be paying monthly renting versus buying was

that something for you yeah absolutely so when we got our pre-approval letter

it had our monthly cost and we're definitely comparing that to rent was it

more or less or was it comparable for you it ended up being comparable for us

and we bought a townhouse so it was the mortgage the interest and then also the

HOA fees so kind of inclusion of both of us and I know we have a whole series you

know of videos where we talk about you know some of those hidden fees and

making sure yeah now I believe there is a tool you know on realtor.com that kind

of helps you with that can you talk about that

yeah we've been rent versus buy calculator on realtor.com and what it

does is it tells you how long do I have to stay in the house until it makes

financial sense to buy rather than to rent Wow super helpful yeah yeah so it

basically runs through two scenarios one if you're renting and you're investing

that money in the stock market how is that gonna do versus if I'm buying and

then selling the house what's that gonna do over the course of this period of

time right so it'll tell you stay in the house for seven years or more and buying

is gonna be better for you oh yeah so those are really helpful tools on

realtor.com and so generally Dillon I mean personally and professionally you

know can you sum it up for me the pros and cons of really buying versus renting

and how you make that decision it's been a long time for me yeah sure and so you

really need to take into account all the costs right so when you're renting

there's a lot of things that are paid for you by the landlord right it comes

with appliances it comes with normally water garbage and

some utilities and so when you're buying a home you don't really have those

luxuries anymore you have to put that bill you have to take that into account

all right so repair costs all the repairs the maintenance yeah utilities

all if anything big like a water pipe bursts that's why you now all right in

the other hand obviously you're building equity like you talked about so that's

the point of the calculator so the difference is though that even though

you're spending that money is really most people that their home is their

largest you know bit of savings or asset that's right yeah it's their financial

investment so just once that home price goes up it may be a money in your pocket

yeah okay so well that's really helpful thank you for detailing some of the

several years ago I read of this study where they put a group of monkeys into a

room and there was a poll with a bunch of bananas at the top of the poll and

every time the monkeys would try to climb the pole to get the bananas they

would be shot with water guns until the monkeys would run back down and run away

now this went on for a while too the monkeys learned don't bother going after

the bananas so they eventually took one monkey out and put a new monkey in new

monkeys like hey banana start to bolt to the top of the pole and all the other

monkey's pulled that monkey down knowing what was about to happen

so they slowly started to rotate all the other monkeys out one at a time - to where

eventually none of the monkeys in that room had ever been squirted with water

yet all of them were afraid to climb to the top of the pole to get the bananas

perhaps you know some of these monkeys because there's things in your business

that are keeping you from your bananas

the first thing is called shoulding all over your business I should

be doing this I should be doing that I should be doing this so you're running

around from project to project ever changing priorities chasing shiny

objects it's keeping you stuck down at the bottom in the middle of the rat race

when the bananas are up there waiting the second thing keeping you from your

bananas is that you're wearing all the hats now I know you can do it better and

faster than anyone else but so what if you can as Brad Sugars says save a wage

and lose a fortune there are some things that are just worth investing in other

people who can do it as well if not even better than you and give them that

responsibility and the third thing is managing your own emotion now this is

the one that got the monkey because the first group of monkeys tried it out they

did what we call a testing and measuring they tried something and learned what

worked and didn't work but over time as the new monkeys came in they just kind

of took stuff for granted it's just the way it is that's the way things go in

our industry we've tried that before and it didn't work all these stories that we

tell ourselves about why things are the way they are when actually they're just

excuses so you can't improve what you don't measure and you can't grow what

you don't know I am 100% confident there is room for improvement in your business

without spending another dime by just getting better at what you already do

there's bananas to be discovered when it comes to mastering your finances

mastering your sales and marketing and absolutely

mastering your leadership and building a high-performance team so what

are the monkeys in your business what are those things that are keeping you

busy in the day-to-day but keeping your eye off the big picture goal so just

stay focused on your bananas and hone your climbing skills thanks for watching then

you might be lost huddling around down there

magically or not

at the Warner Bros Studio Tour - The Making Of Harry Potter, there is like a whole wall

just before Diagon Alley, of all like wizard and witch hats there

and after taking a lot of photos of the ones out there, they unfortunate don't sell any like that

so I wondered, what could actually be done?

so the help of a family member I was able to get this wizard hat made

I was very pleased at this one, but this obviously isn't an option for everyone, so what can be done?

I was delighted to find out that Cinereplicas have actually launched a Harry Potter hat that's

similar to the one that was featured in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone or

Sorcerer's Stone for you guys in the US

and it is this wizard hat which is just perfect and it actually comes with

different embroidered house emblems on the front

now obviously I went for Hufflepuff because if you didn't know, I'm a Hufflepuff and I'll show you what looks like

Ta-da! And here is the Harry Potter hat

that is just perfect and look at it fitting on the back of my head

this is just yeah I can live my Hogwarts life in this little hat

and I actually realised that when I was visiting the Studio Tour - The Making of Harry Potter

I took a photo of the hat that was on display there

and if you look closely, it's actually got like a bit of a like a crook or like a crunch at the top so

it's not just like completely straight up, like how, I have it now

and I thought let me have a go at that

so I actually just turned this hat around, the emblem is actually now on the back

just for demonstration purposes and then I added a bit of a kook or crunch at the top

just to give it that kind of like, Hogwarts students, like wizardy feel

and I think I did it quite well, I'm really happy with it, so if anyone's looking to like cosplay or do you know the

the outfit from the first Harry Potter film and looking for a hat

this is perfect, Cinereplicas have this and obviously this is in the Hufflepuff

but it is available in Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Gryffindor and I'll leave
