Totally spaced-out!

Hello Elvenar players!

Steffi here, and Rike, and we're gonna give you some insights on the Gravity Inn,

which is the first building the community helped to build.

Well not literally, but you made all the important decisions.

Can you tell us a bit more about the process?

Basically last year, we asked all of our international players on the forums three important questions.

What's your favorite size in a building?

What's your favorite effect in a building?

And, what is your favorite theme for a building?

I know it, I know it!

What is it?

The Sorcerers and Dragons, which is also one of my most beloved chapters.

And the effect that you guys chose is culture and population.

A classic!

And, obviously, smaller is better in Elvenar, so the size is 2x2, don't you agree?

It's not always better but in the case of Elvenar,

you would probably say that smaller is better.

Takes less space right?

Mmmhmm...Moving on!

Basically, as soon as we've decided all of these factors, our artists worked some magic.

Uhuh!

And I would love to tell you more about that, but let's see the picture.

So after the survey we knew the target size and the theme,

as well as the stats of the building.

That is usually the most important step.

After you have some restrictions, the idea becomes a lot clearer.

We usually try to fit the buildings we design to the stats they will give,

so culture and population in this case.

Not the easiest task to accomplish, considering that the building is quite small.

Yeah, how do you squeeze in a lot of population into a such a limited space?

You would need some magic, right?

Exactly, that's how the idea of the multi-dimensional hotel was born.

And to make it clearer that it's multi-dimensional, we made use of some Escher-esque effects,

which means, some twisted perspective.

So that's why people are eating those Vallerian Burgers on the side of the building!

Yep, we are always trying to tell a little story with our buildings.

And we can't wait to show you that story!

So, if I was a player, how would I actually get this building,

because I heard it's not easy.

Yeah it's very exclusive.

So the Gravity Inn is a very, very strong building, and it was built just for the community.

But, it basically means that Community Managers can nominate players to get this building,

and they would only nominate them, if they do something great for the community,

like, say, building a very useful website.

Okay, and...if I am not able to build a website, would I get it in some other way?

Well we also will add some of them to our contests...so...
