Staging a home - Duration: 4:54.

Today I'm going to show you 7 ways to get your house staged on a budget. Let's get started1

Hi everyone

Its CorI with Monmouth County Deam Homes and RE/MAX Central. If you're interested in buying or selling real estate in Monmouth county,

Go ahead and click that subscribe button below. I try to publish new videos

every week and you don't want to miss them!

Today we are talking about staging your home on a budget and i'm going to give you 7 ways

you can help stage your home all by yourself.

Tip #1

FURNITURE GROUPINGS . There is a big

misconception that when you're showing a room you should have all of your furniture pushed up against the walls and

that will make the room feel larger, but that really is not the case.

Instead furnish your space by floating furniture away from the walls.

Reposition sofas and chairs into cozy conversational groups and place pieces

so the traffic flow in a room is obvious. Tip #2

ROOM

TRANSFORMATIONS. I you have a room that serves only to gather junk,

repurpose it into something that will add to the value of your home.

The simple addition of a comfortable armchair, a small table or a lamp

can help transform a space into a cozy reading spot.

Tip #3

LIGHTING. I think people underestimate how important it is that when you're getting your house ready to be seen by potential buyers,

Your home is light and bright. Great lighting always gives off a welcoming appearance.

Be sure you increase the wattage in your lamps.

Don't just depend on one or two fixtures in the room. If you have lights in the ceiling such as a ceiling fan,

Built-in or recessed lighting be sure you turn them on.

TIP #4 You want your house to be neutral and

appealing.

Paint a living room a fresh natural color. It can help tone down any dated finishes in your space.

These days the definition of neutral goes way way further than just your basic white

beige and tan. You can choose some soft blues some greens. Add

A little bit of color. But as for bold wall colors,

somehow they seem to reduce your offers.

Tip #5

ACCESSORIZE

Adding the right accessories can make your room and your home seems so much more inviting and comfortable.

There are so many local stores that you can probably run into such as Michaels,

Hobby Lobby,

Marshalls, TJ MAXX.

Just try to find some things that add a little bit of character to your space.

You should always try to group your accessories by color, shape, size or theme.

Remember a few personal touches go a very long way when you're getting ready to sell your house.

TIP #6

Fresh flowers and greenery. This is one of my favorite favorite things. It's inexpensive.

You would be surprised how by adding just a few flowers,

Plants or greenery, It just helps give a very warm and comfortable feeling to your home.

Finally our last but not least tip #7 CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN

your home. This one should be a no-brainer

But I don't understand sometimes I go into a house and it just it doesn't even look clean.

You want to deep clean your home. You want every corner of it to look beautiful.

What we're selling when you sell a home is space. You don't want to have clutter, You don't want to have dirt.

So the things you're going to do are declutter and

Clean. So those are just 7quick easy things you can do to help stage your home on a budget.

You don't have to hire anyone,

you don't have to spend a lot of money. What it takes is a little bit of time and a little bit of effort.

Everybody knows a home that's staged well and looks beautiful and clean

USUALLY receives multiple offers. Have you tried any of these when you were getting ready to sell your home?

Have you used another trick that you want to share? Do me a favor and leave a comment for me below?

Thank you so much for watching the video this week check back next week

When I post something else that has to do with real estate and/or Monmouth

SMART Goals, It's never too late. - Duration: 4:14.

This week we are going to cover SMART Goals, Self Talk, and Education.

What's up Fish Fans!

My name is Marcus.

You're watching Marketing Madness, the Blue Fish vlog!

It's the start of 2019 and I want to talk to you about making 2019 your best year yet.

Most of you will think of the things we are going to talk about in this video are tasks

that we just do at the beginning of the year.

But the truth is that these activities are perfect for today.

And by today I mean any day.

Today we're going to talk about setting goals, self talk, and education.

Let's start with goals.

I'm a firm believer that goals are something you can set at any point in time.

Most of your goals should be reviewed weekly, if not more often.

This helps keep you focused on what you are trying to achieve vs something problem that

pops up.

When it comes to goals they need to be SMART.

SMART goals are something we have talked about on this Vlog in the past.

They are important.

So important that the Emerging Leaders program put on by the Small Business Administration

spends a few weeks in the course making sure that business owners get them nailed down.

For those of you that are not familiar, SMART goals are:

Specific - This means that you need to state what it is you are going to do

Measurable - This should make it easy to evaluate success

Achievable - it should be within reach of the business

Relevant - They should improve the business or move it forward

Time Bound - Achieving the goal should happen within a specific, and defined time frame

So don't wait.

Make

sure to make time to put together your list of SMART goals so you can be intentional about

the direction of your business.

Next I want to discuss Self Talk.

As business owners it is really easy to overlook the internal dialogue that we deal with and

the impact it has on our performance.

I know I deal with this and just about every business owner I have talked to does as well.

It is not whether or not you are going to have bad days where your brain is questioning

every decision you've made in the last 6 months it is how often you will have those

internal dialogues.

Make sure that you are cognizant of this.

Be self aware.

Make sure you really listen to the way you talk to yourself.

And if necessary take steps to fix how your brain talks to you.

There are all sorts of podcasts, videos, seminars, books, and more that can help you with this.

And finally, let's discuss education.

Education is something that business leaders should always be seeking.

Education about finances, education about marketing, education about product offerings

or manufacturing processes.

We should always try and stay one step ahead of the competition.

It helps set us apart from the competition by showing our audience that we are the experts

they should be working with.

Make sure that as part of your SMART goals that you include education.

You can set a number of books per month that you want to read.

You can also set formal education as a goal.

A program like Emerging Leaders is called a Streetwise MBA and is not easy to accomplish,

but once you are accepted into the class and commit, completing it means you get a certificate,

it is doable, relevant to most businesses, and has a set class schedule.

See how this works?

Well, that's a wrap for this week!

I want to thank you for checking in.

Make sure to hit that like button.

And if you have any questions or comments leave them down below.

If you want to talk about how Blue Fish can help you grow your business just send us a

3 Active Ways To Train Your Brain To Stop Worrying - Health and Fitness || Life Care - Duration: 4:30.

It is said that depression focuses on past events, that you wish you could have changed

and that the concern focuses on future events over which, you have no control.

You could also tell yourself about worrying, that you think you have no control over the

future, when you can actually choose to take action to help prepare for whatever is worrying

you.

So in this video, i am going to show you, three active ways, that can help train your

brain to stop worrying.

Number one.

Stop your brain of concern when writing it.

When you are training your brain to stop worrying, it is said that this technique is the most

important.

If your brain stays alert during the night thinking about something, put it on paper

or in electronic format.

Doing so will allow your brain a mental sigh of relief for not having to expend energy

trying to remember those details.

If you are going to worry about what you are going to serve at a meeting of friends, write

down, 'What is there to serve.'

Writing it down is also a way for you to put your brain on notice by saying, 'This is

important enough to write it down'.

Your brain will have been alerted to put resources towards solving this problem, instead of being

worried or having to remember that important thing that concerns you.

Why write it?

Researchers now have evidence that, individuals with a chronic concern can also be avoiders

of chronic problems.

Scientists in the anxiety, stress and coping magazine gave a group of people, who cared

about the opportunity to write down three possible outcomes for the situation they were

worried about, then analyzed the answers looking for practical solutions.

The scientists said: 'When the degree of concreteness in the elaboration of the problems

of the participants was observed, they showed an inverse relationship between the degree

of concern and the degree of specificity: the participants most concerned about a given

topic, were less specific in the content of the elaboration of the solutions.

The results challenge the opinion that, concern can promote a better analysis of problems.

Instead, they conform to the view that worry is a response of cognitive avoidance.

Number two.

Meditate to have a brain without concerns.

Meditation can help train your brain to stop worrying.

Researchers in the journal Psychosomatic Medicine studied the effects of meditation and found

that, meditation is especially good for reducing cognitive anxiety, or worry.

Although some people believe they do not have time to meditate, meditation is as easy as

choosing to close your eyes at this time for 30 seconds or more.

The act of choosing not to pay attention to other sources of stress is an active step

to train your brain to stop worrying.

Number three.

Exercise to train your body and your brain to stop worrying about.

The concern is how the brain learns to survive with the decision to activate the fight or

flight system.

If a puma jumps near you, it will feel like an adrenaline rush.

This fear response is the same as what is happening to your body when you worry, albeit

at a much lower level for a longer period of time.

The same study in the journal Psychosomatic Medicine found that exercise, on the other

hand, is good for when your body feels symptoms of anxiety and nervousness.

If your body feels less of the physical symptoms of stress, your mind will interpret that there

must be less to worry about, because the body is not in a state of increased arousal.

Exercise seems to give the body a secondary reason for the acceleration of the heart rate,

and perspiration so that we can feel it on a small level, when we worry.

Exercise can help lower blood pressure, which is another of the physical symptoms of stress

in the body.

If you can identify that you are worrying, take a 5 to 10 minute walk, outside if possible.

Appreciate the sights and sounds of nature, while focusing on the movement of your limbs

and the breaths you take.
