- So last week we talked about the biggest mistakes
I see people making who are brand new to YouTube,
so make sure you check that video out.
But today, I'm gonna be talking about the seven things
you need to do before you release your YouTube video
out to the world, so stay tuned.
Hey guys, my name is Trena,
and welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips.
On this channel, I help you get your creative business
on YouTube.
This video is the second video of a series
that I'm starting here on my YouTube channel
to help newbies get on YouTube,
and I'm not talking about YouTubers.
I'm talking about businesses getting on YouTube.
So make sure you subscribe so you don't miss
the future videos that are coming out.
So let's jump into the seven things you need to do
before you release your YouTube channel out to the world.
So number one, is you wanna figure out what your target
audience is going to be, and your niche.
So you can't just start a YouTube channel
and throw out videos, right?
You need to have a clear focus
on what your channel is about.
When somebody falls on your channel,
they need to see it and be like,
this is the channel I've been looking for.
I totally need this channel in my life.
So I know it gets a little scary when I tell you
to niche down, because you're afraid
you're going to leave somebody out.
But unfortunately, you can't be somebody for everyone,
or you end up being no one for everyone.
So when I started my channel, yeah,
I decided to dive headfirst into video and YouTube.
And more recently, I've really niched down more
into just YouTube strategy.
So start to think about, who do you wanna reach
and what your niche is going to be on YouTube,
because it's gonna help you grow your channel a lot faster.
The second thing you wanna do
is have a clear video strategy moving forward.
As you can see in my calendar over there,
I have a clear video strategy.
Each color Post-it is a different video series.
So start to think about your videos in series of videos,
because this is going to help you create content
that flows easily from one video to the next.
Then at the end of that series,
you can pitch people into your course, your service,
or your opt-in.
So start to think about playlists in video series formats.
The third thing you wanna do is research.
So you come up with your video ideas,
you have a video series, but you need to validate
these are good ideas, right?
So you wanna go into the YouTube search bar,
start to type in your video idea, and see what populates.
See what other videos are out there.
Are they getting a lot of views?
Do they have a lot of subscribers?
Your key is to find videos that have a lot of views,
but not a lot of subscribers,
because you know that video is what people are looking for.
That video is not getting the views
based on their subscribers, they're getting the views
based on search, because that's why they have more views
than subscribers.
The fourth thing you wanna do is batch film your videos.
So once you have all of your video ideas,
sit down and record as many as possible.
That's what I'm doing right now.
I have created two video series,
five videos for each video series,
so I'm filming 10 videos today.
This just makes being consistent on YouTube a lot easier,
and it helps your content flow a lot easier
if you can sit down and batch them.
And let's be real.
I ain't got time to do this every single day.
I've got two kids running around.
I've got clients to take care of,
and I can't sit up and film every single week.
So start to batch film your videos,
and it will make being consistent on YouTube so much easier.
Number five is you wanna spend more time on your thumbnail.
So if you watched last week's video,
I talked about one of the biggest mistakes people do,
is don't put any effort into their thumbnails,
and like I said in that video, I was guilty of it myself.
So you wanna start putting more time into your thumbnails.
In fact, a couple YouTube experts that I talked to
said a lot of YouTube creators
spend twice the amount of time on their thumbnails
than they do on their video content.
And the reason for this is,
the thumbnail is what's going to cause somebody to click.
So start to think about
what your thumbnails are going to be.
Me personally, moving forward in my new YouTube strategy,
I'm starting to think about batching thumbnail photos.
So whether I make my husband come in here
and take pictures of me, or whether it's just
sitting up my camera in different spots
to get those pictures, I'm going to start taking photos
for my thumbnails all at one time,
so that they're done, and they're not just me
standing to the side pointing,
like you've seen me do in the past.
The sixth thing that you should do
before launching your YouTube into the world,
is figure out your editing software.
So you wanna jazz up your editing just a little bit,
maybe by throwing in the text like I'm doing in this video,
pulling out the points of the video,
or maybe even just sliding your name into the beginning.
You need to find a way to keep people engaged
so I'm switching up having long shots,
having zoomed in shots, showing you shots from my screen,
just trying to keep people's attention,
changing it up a little bit.
And finally the seventh thing that you should do,
is plan out your channel layout.
So this is something you can do if you go into your channel,
you click the little gear icon, and you slide the switch
to customize the layout of your channel.
I also have a video on that right here.
What you wanna do is start laying out your channel
to highlight your best content.
These are your playlists that are really going to tell
people what you're all about.
Start to layout your channel.
If someone were to fall on your channel
by watching one of your videos,
are they able to get a sense of who you are
and what you're about just by looking at your channel.
Make sure you have this set up.
If you don't have any videos yet,
you can always create playlists
around the type of content you plan to share,
and share other people's videos.
Other industry leaders in your niche, or friends of yours.
So now what questions do you have
before you start your YouTube channel?
Let me know down in the comments section.
I'm down there chatting it up with you all,
giving you my advice, and make sure you subscribe
to this channel, because next Tuesday
I'm coming back with another video to help you
get started on YouTube if you're brand new.
Thank you so much for watching,
and I'll see you in the next video.
Bye.

5 Tips for Smart Healthy Grocery Shopping - Avoid the Rat Maze - Duration: 3:33.
grocery stores are designed with one purpose in mind to get you to spend as
much money as possible from the parking lot to the register grocery shopping is
a rat maze designed to keep you in the store for as long as possible and spend
as much as possible this video will give you a few tips on how to be a successful
healthy grocery shopper tip 1 do not shop when you are hungry make sure to
eat something before you enter the store hunger is one of the strongest driving
forces in life hunger is such a powerful urge that it
can shape the way we see reality a 2015 study showed that hungry shoppers spend
70% more than shoppers who just ate so if you don't want to return home with
three bags of Hot Cheetos make sure your stomach isn't grumbling when you enter
the store tip 2 avoid the aisles grocery stores are designed to keep you
shopping for as long as possible the produce is usually the first thing you
encounter your essential items like eggs and milk are always farthest from the
front and your meat and bread is usually on the other side just about every
supermarket in America has this layout the items you throw in your cart will
get less and less healthy the longer you remain inside the aisles are where the
unhealthiest processed foods are sugary cereals frozen pizza soda chips beer
snacks candy and ice cream the registers are also packed with sweet impulse
temptations but unless you're a kleptomaniac you can't avoid the
register so in general if you just do a lap around the perimeter of the store
you will avoid the pitfalls of junk food tip 3
make a list shopping lists are great for helping you save time remember what you
need and stay focused if you enter the store with no plan other than you want
food you'll be subjected to the rat maze if you don't set goals for yourself
other people will tip for buy in bulk part of being a successful shopper is
being a smart shopper buying things in bulk saves money if there are items that
you know you buy repeatedly that don't spoil there are financial benefits to
buying a year supply at once this can save you hundreds if not thousands over
the course of a year tip 5 check the ingredients the less ingredients of food
item has the less processed it is a banana has one ingredient banana a hot
pocket has over 50 most of which are long complicated words that are
intentionally crafted to be misunderstood so as a general healthy
rule tried to stick to foods that have less than five ingredients hopefully
this video helps you save time and money at the grocery store and moves you
closer to a happy healthy life

What Should You Do With Your Money? - How To Make Your Money Work For You - Duration: 9:22.
Would you like to learn how to make your money work for you instead of you work
for your money? I'm Lauren Gilson and I'm excited to share with you some of the
things I've learned in the financial industry, as well as just my real life
experience of being mom, a wife, a business owner. So make sure you watch it
to the end because you'll get some really great content at the very end
when I show you some things.
So we're going to talk about how to make your
money work for you. Now I just want to put this disclaimer right up front,
this is in no way any kind of specific financial advice. What my goal is in
ensuring this with you, is just to give you some overall principles that will
maybe create an understanding for you to dig a lot deeper, ask a lot more
questions and then talk to people who have licenses and who are very qualified
to give you very specific and direct information but I just find that so many
people don't understand that there's these different levels of investing and
the risks and benefits associated with that and then right out front, I just
want to tell you, there is no perfect world, there's always a loss or a there's
always a benefit and there's always a cost and so the most important thing is
just know that, if someone tells you there's no fees or whatever, then you
need to ask a few more questions because any time when you specifically are
talking about specific financial tools built within that that is a way to
pay somebody who's selling it and so the company is there to make money,
the person who is servicing is there to make money and that you're there to make
money and so it's a give and take on what's important to you and where you're
willing to give on that and how it shakes up in the benefits that you're
going to reap from that. So having said that, I just want to share with you the
board that I've created here and so two things,
instruments of debt, there's a lot of people have a lot of really bad you know,
gang of things about down debt but debt actually is an instrument for
creating wealth and so I just put them here, a couple of examples to show you.
So a CD and savings, now that's an instrument of debt and that you take
your money, you actually put it into the bank, they by contract now are using your
money, so by contract, they have your money, they are, in essence, in debt to you
and that it's your money and you have it. It's protected by a contract, so there's
no risk involved in that, they're gonna say, we're gonna use your money, we're
gonna pay you X amount for letting us use that money and the reasons
banks are so profitable is because they're very very good at using that
principle with many people and using and continually keeping their money flowing.
So the downfalls of like a CD or savings is, you have no return and if in
a CD situation, you have limited liquidity, so in savings, you usually have
free, you can access it whenever you want but you have a lower interest rate and
so anytime they can have your money for a contractual period of time, they know
they're gonna use that money and make money and so if you're gonna allow them
to have your money longer, they're gonna pay you a little bit more so that's why
in a CD, you have limited liquidity but there's no risk and there's
no fees there, they by contract will pay you in agreement with whatever was set
up when you set that account of. Now, we can go to other instruments of debt.
And that would be any kind of a cash value life insurance product or
indexed product and because it's a contract for a certain period amount
time, they know they have it, they're going to take that and they're going to
use that to create more money for themselves but they're also going to
pay you and so most of the time these are contractual for a period of time,
within that, they will use a lot of indexed product, so they're capturing the growth
of the market but you're not in the market, you don't own anything, you're in
a contractual relationship and the contract is, you're going to pay them
money, they're going to take their money and they're gonna use it and then
they're going to either give you a percentage of the growth of the market
that they're experiencing, most of the time they will offer no risk of loss,
meaning that if the market tanks, you're not gonna tank with it or if the index
loses, you're not gonna lose but they'll give you a growth so let's just say
the index grows 14% but usually they're gonna cap you, like eight, seven, just
depends on what it is going in and that's contractual, you'll know that
going in. Once again, because they're maintaining your money, it's a
period of time, you have limited liquidity in that and then within that
there's fees in that as well. And so when we go over here to private
ownership, it's a little bit different in that, it's yours, it means if you own it
you get full growth and you have full risk, so that is the benefit, you get the
full growth, it's liquid, especially when you're looking at variable products or
stocks or mutual funds, any kinds of funds, it's liquid, it's available, you can
come in and out. Your potential for loss is 100% yours and the fees are always
going to be there. Now, they have, a it's called active management, it's another
license, it's another investment tool basically, it works like mutual
funds and stocks except for as active managers, they're like a third party
watching over and taking care of your things and they have the ability to watch the
market in algorithms and trends, so it's not so emotionally driven as stocks and
mutual funds and they have the ability to watch it in a way that they always
try to take you out of the market, when it's right, you know, before it falls,
so you're always going to have a little bit of a risk of gain or loss but they're
able to mitigate some of the risk and so it's just another tool that is available
to help you manage and capture some of the growth with your money. So they're
kind of a hybrid between these two and then, with in that we have our own
businesses and and once again more ownership, so we're 100% responsible for
risk and growth and we get to capture that and you know some of the benefits
of that is, you control your own time and you get to have more control of the
results, some of them not so fun things about that is the cost and associating
with that and of course the rest, real estate, the same thing. So it's
always, for me, it's a conversation of how liquid is it, how quickly can I get to my
my funds if I need to, it becomes a question of once again, what's more
important to me that I have control, I have full risk or that I'm managing risk
and I don't have losses. Anyway, so this is just a really broad conceptual way
for you to take a look at the possibilities and kind of put them into
categories that really help you make some decisions, a little bit more
education philosophy based decisions about what you want to do with your
money and the possibilities and opportunities that you have there.
And then just to finalize, I just want to reiterate that you know, it's your
responsibility to ask really pertinent questions and so hopefully, from what
you've learned here, that will actually empower you to ask
questions, like what are the fees, how has money made, what are the time limits,
what are the contractual obligations, what is the rate of return and what can you show
me as far as market performance and past performance. And so ask those really
critical questions that will really empower you to be able to invest your
money with confidence and make your money work for you. Thanks for watching
my video, how to make money work for you. I would love to hear what you learned
in the comments below I actually would like to learn too.
What are you doing in your life to make money work for you? So make sure you subscribe

How to Upload Your Speaking Gig to YouTube | Brighton West Video - Duration: 4:38.
Do you have a video from a speaking event that you would like to upload to YouTube?
I'm Brighton West and in this video, I'll show you how.
Now we don't want to do a bait-and-switch, so I'm going to start by showing you how
to upload your video to YouTube.
I'll talk about the one good reason you should put your video on YouTube, but then
I want to talk about why videos like that typically don't get many views.
Then, I'll share a better way that you might not have thought of - a way to reformat your
presentation and reach a huge audience of potential clients and customers who are searching
for your content.
Let's start with how to upload a video recording of your presentation to YouTube.
I recommend this to my clients who are searching for more live speaking gigs and the people
booking speakers want to see what you look like on-stage.
But your audience members - the people wanting the information from your talk, don't want
to watch you talk to an audience, where it's like their seated in the background.
After I tell you how to post your recorded talk, I'll tell you how to repurpose your
talk in a way that online viewers will love.
What you'll do is head over to YouTube.com, and then in the upper right you should see
an arrow with a line underneath it for upload, click on that.
Go to wherever you have that file sitting on your computer.
Take the.mov or the .mp4 file - the video file - and drag it over to YouTube and drop
it there.
Give it a title and a description, and some tags.
The more information you put in here, the better.
But we're going to just - for the purpose of this, just leave it blank.
Once it's uploaded and processed - which could take a few minutes- once you hit published,
you will have that video live and available to the public.
Quick disclaimer - if you're Tony Robbins or you spoke at a Ted event, the video of
you onstage might be everything that you need.
These are professional productions usually involving three or more cameras and the cameras
are moving around, and getting audiences' reactions.
Very few speakers could afford that kind of recording during a live event.
So, I'm assuming you have a video recording by someone in the back of the room.
Maybe it's your partner, maybe a videographer, maybe your cousin Johnny.
But in general, it looks something like this.
When someone is watching a YouTube video, it's usually just them and the screen.
They aren't gathered with all of their friends in front of a 52-inch tv.
It's usually them, and their 4-inch iPhone screen.
If you post one of those back-of-the-room camera videos, then your face is just like
a quarter-inch tall.
And online viewers aren't interested in hearing your resume recited before you take
the stage and they definitely don't want to hear that audience member's phone ringing.
What they do want is this: you as the expert, giving them the specific knowledge that they
are looking for.
They want the information fast but easy to understand.
And they want to be reassured that you aren't going to a bait-and-switch or bury the promised
information deep in the video.
So how you do this?
Here's five easy steps.
Break up your talk into smaller pieces.
Two to four minutes of content.
Think of your talk as a bunch of answers to potential audience questions.
Write a script for each video in this format: First, repeat the question and let them know
that you're going to answer it.
Next, you can throw in a little branding if you wish - not more than five seconds.
Then, you share the answer from your talk.
Lastly, you give the viewer an action item.
That could be 'share this video' or 'leave a comment below' or 'visit my website.'
Record these videos on your webcam or smartphone.
Close enough so that your head is taking up more than half of the screen.
Remember, people will be watching you on a two-inch tall screen and you want them to
recognize who you are.
Upload these videos on YouTube.
Add titles, tags, descriptions.
Do a thorough job here.
What you type in now is going to help your customers find your video.
Share your YouTube videos widely.
Share it on LinkedIn, share it on your website, share it in your newsletter.
Now is that as easy as just uploading a video from the back of the room?
Of course not.
But if you had a chance to speak to a crowd of hundreds, thousands or maybe millions of
your target customers, will you just reuse one of your old speeches?
Or would you customize it for that audience?
YouTube is probably the largest stage you will ever speak from.
So don't skip.
Do it right, and it will pay off.
I love helping speakers, authors and coaches get traction on YouTube.
I'd love to help you, too!

TuTu 22: 3 Crafts Using Halloween Candy Wrappers - Duration: 13:15.
hey crafters welcome to crafters autonomous I know you might have thrown
you a little bit it's actually still Amanda here kind of looks like those
Black Widow I know probably you were thinking that it was Black Widow not
Amanda but it's actually just Amanda here I'm in costume because it's that
magical day of the year the one day in the year where it's totally abnormal and
expected even that you go and get candy from strangers so anyways as I promised
and last week's tutorial Tuesday this one's gonna have to do with candy and
more specifically candy wrappers so tonight you're gonna go out and get tons
of candy and it's awesome right and you end up with all this great caning and
you feel like so you know you're running together you're like your trigger
rational but you know what all kinds of these candy wrappers and some people see
that oh that's just trash other people see it's like oh we need a recycle for
me I see it as crafting potentially because everything I look at has
crafting potential almost so I'm gonna go ahead and show you guys a couple
different tutorials and ideas I guess the tutorial for today is how to
use your candy wrappers so it's not so much a tutorial like my normal tutorial
Tuesday's where I have a specific project that I walk through but this is
gonna show you guys three sways that you can use your candy wrappers so let's go
ahead and look at our first project come the first idea with candy wrappers
uses a method I showed you guys in an earlier video and we made these fun
bracelets except instead of using paper we're gonna use candy wrappers super
cute so when I'm just gonna give some pointers I've already got a tutorial out
for that I'll put the link up in the top of this video to just click on that if
you don't know how but I'm just gonna give you guys some pointers and tips so
first of all using wrappers that are out this size like a tootsie roll wrapper or
some kind of sweet wrapper that usually works best because it's kind of already
a rectangle I've got this candy wrapper here from a friend there's these coffee
caramels that coffee real and they're really good at like kind of bitter but
also really good so anything that's kind of like this already rectangular shape
now this isn't the exact dimensions we need it to be but that's okay because we
can kind of play with it and still make this
work so really the biggest tip is you want to use the full length of it and
when you fold it in half make sure you fold it thin enough so that way you can
slide a candy wrapper through both sides because I'll need a slide a piece
through here and to dip so if this one's too thick I won't be able to fit another
one beside it so for me what I found out worked really well was if I fold it in
thirds like that and then in half and that seemed to get me in my size just
pinch it like that fold it in half fold the ends in get your piece made and then
it's time to tuck it in to our bracelet
and tada your candy wrapper bracelet will keep going so I found that these
kind of wrappers are really well these things are a little bit slippery so
maybe like a starburst would work well but I am gonna mention that wrappers
like this or the kind of foil II aren't gonna be as likely to work so well for
two reasons so let's unwrap this guy so the first one is when you're unwrapping
it's really easy to tear the wrapper I didn't do it that time but here's some
wrappers from earlier where I was just tearing into the candy I was ready to
eat it and they end up tearing so those wouldn't work well so now I have this
nice wrapper but the problem with this kind of wrapper is it's a square so
first of all tear is easily second of all it's a square now we can fix this if
we just keep folding it in half this way but again you want to make sure that the
final width of it is thin enough so that way we can slide them together because
if the wrapper gets full of too thick it won't be able to fit in the next spot in
our bracelet so you could try something like this and folding them in half but
you're probably going to find like on this one that I don't have room on
either side to fit another wrapper in there which means I can't continue my
bracelet so that's just some pointers on how to make one of these fun bracelets
but out of candy wrappers project number two so this next project is gonna solve
the next problem you run into because now you've got all kinds of canned
but what do you do with it so we're gonna create a cute little Bowl out of
candy wrappers to hang onto our candy until we finish eating them all so I'm
going to start by drawing my sleeves up because I can get just a little bit
messy and what we're going to need for this one is obviously some more candy
wrappers I feel kind of clever because I saved the packaging from some of the
candy and so I feel like it's kind of creative that I'm gonna use the
packaging to create a new way to hold the candy so I don't know maybe you
think that's weird but I think it's kind of creative and then you're gonna also
want a balloon because this is gonna act as our form so however big your balloon
is we'll determine how big your container ends up I've also got this
handy dandy inflator to help me last of all you're gonna want some water and
Elmer's glue you can't go from modge podge I'm just going with the water and
Elmer's glue nothing cuz that's what I've got readily available to me and
then you can either use your hands or you can use a little sponge brush which
is what I'm going to be using instead of getting modge podge all over my hands
and probably all over my outfit so I'm gonna just start by blowing up my
balloon to whatever size I want
I said up to the side for a minute gonna mix up my glue and water mixture you
want to be about a one-to-one ratio so about how much glue you put in is about
how much water you want in there and vice versa and then once your mixture is
ready it's time for the fun part I would recommend using a roll of tape to set
your balloon in so that way it doesn't fall over while you're working on it but
I'm just gonna take my candy wrapper coat it with my mixture and then put it
on the balloon you can also put a coating on the balloon to start with
generally speaking smaller sizes work better if you're using Mod Podge and
might actually bond a little bit quicker I'm going to leave this one as is and as
I keep adding on more layers and this dries a little more I'll keep bending it
down to my shape better here's a wrapper that says whatever you want to say say
it with a kiss you know I think that's kind of a cute idea and all but I don't
know I just feel like that might not go so well if you say whatever you want to
say with the kiss like you know the guy gets down on one knee to propose to the
girl and he pulls out a ring box and he's
like will you marry me and she opens it up and instead of a ring there's a
Hershey kiss in there I I don't know I just feel like that wouldn't be the best
option Hershey might need to rethink that
slogan
one last tip while we're letting on the string on this to dry and I finished
mine up and you finished yours up if you're working on this and you get glue
on your hands which I am getting here if you rub your fingers back and forth
where you have the glue it'll help the glue dry out and then the glue will peel
right off like you can see right there that's not dead skin because that'd be
gross but it's just the glue that's but on my hand and under striving back and
forth and it's coming right off so another tip if while they're drawing if
they start to kind of pop off citizens kind of bent out you can get some rubber
bands and just put them around your project to help hold things in place
better which I'm going to do that do a couple of them from different directions
you may need a helper for this I'm just gonna stretch it wide and then gently
let it come right on to the balloon that's gonna help hold it we're gonna do
some more from different angles so now that these rubber bands on your helping
hold things down I think of adjust things fill in any gaps I'll slide these
ones a little bit closer together and of course once it comes off of here we're
gonna be trimming it anyways so it doesn't have to look perfect out the
edges right now but we're gonna let this dry for probably about 24 hours and then
we'll come back pop the balloon and check out the awesomeness of what we've
got made so far
candy wrapper craft idea number three this projects are actually probably my
favorite out of the three of them and basically what you're gonna want is
you're gonna want some kind of cute little jar I've got this adorable
Smuckers jam jar I cleaned and then I've got a bunch of wrappers and these
wrappers you want it to be something that you can write on so this probably
isn't gonna work but you're gonna want something that's kind of more waxy or
else paper II that you can write on and you're just gonna need a sharpie and
there's lots of directions you can go with this craft idea because the idea is
we're gonna write stuff on the candy wrappers and fill the jar with them so
you could do that of goals of fears of dreams I'm gonna go ahead and because
Thanksgivings coming up I'm gonna turn this into a little thankfulness jar so
whenever I eat candy I'll go ahead and on the back of the wrapper I'll write
something I'm thankful for so like my family and then I'll fold it up you can
fold it up neatly you can crumple it up you could roll it
up and make it look really cute however you want it to be and then I'm gonna pop
it right on my things on the straw got another one here
crafts I'm gonna crumble this one up throw it in there
thankful for my cats I'm thankful for Jesus and I'm sure by now you get the
basic idea that each of these wrappers when I eat a piece of candy I'll write
something on it that I'm thankful for put them in the jar and then add some
designated time so for me probably Thanksgiving I'll go ahead and I can get
my jar out take up my candy wrappers and I can remind it of all the things I have
in life to be faithful for so this is really cute because it fresh shot gives
you an excuse to eat candy while making it like a great character thing so you
know if if you're like oh I shouldn't be eating candy you can tell yourself it's
okay because I'm training myself to be thankful also it gives you something to
do with the candy wrappers because seriously they're so cute and colorful
so it acts as a little decoration kind of craft in the meantime and then lastly
it a really sweet sentimental activity you
can do at Thanksgiving you could do this with family you can do your jar any kind
of theme you want but I just thought I thankful enough star would be a really
great idea because Thanksgiving is coming next month so that's my third and
final project well that's all Black Widow I mean Amanda you know even I get
myself confused you know when I'm in this costume but anyways that's all I've
got for you guys today as far as Halloween crafting goes I hope that you
all stay safe when you go out trick-or-treating go get a bunch of
candy and then as you're eating your candy remember these projects and get to
work on a couple of them all so I'm gonna go ahead and mention that and a
few tutorial Tuesday's back like the 12th one I showed how to crochet a
pencil and I put eyes on the one and so I said that he needed a name and so it
has now come time since we're transitioning from you know the fall
school Halloween and tomorrow is the start of November which means it's like
Thanksgiving time and turkey time and Christmas time and I'm really excited so
since we're transitioning i felt like now would be a good time to announce the
name of this little pencil guy i got a comment from eb suggesting the name
lenny and so i decided to name my little pencil friend here Lenny so I think it's
a super cute name thanks so much EB for commenting and suggest the name
as always I hope you guys give this video a thumbs up if you liked it and
also subscribe if you haven't already I know I say this like every video every
week but seriously it really helps me out
helps my videos get out there and helps me to grow as the YouTube channel so it
really means a lot to me when you guys interact in my videos and I love
bringing you new projects every week so as always if you have any suggestions
for videos that you'd like to see comment those below I'm excited for the
next few weeks because we're gonna be getting into the Christmas and
Thanksgiving kind of projects so lots of fun stuff there in the months ahead but
I hope you all have an awesome Halloween and stay safe happy crafting obviously I
haven't been trout trick-or-treating yet because too early still in the day and
I'm trying to get this done ahead of time so I can go trick-or-treating but I
was kind of low on candy I haven't done trick-or-treating these
are the lengths I go to because I'm like why spend money on candy when tonight
I'm gonna get a lot of free candy you know it just doesn't make sense so I
literally rewrapped a whole bunch of dum-dums

BlizzCon 2017 Hype and a Farewell to Hallow's End | This Week In Warcraft October 31st - Duration: 5:55.
Hello everybody!
My name is Raxef and welcome to this Week in Warcraft for the
week of October 31st!
We've got a lot of things to cover this week so let's jump
into the video.
First up we have a PvP brawl this weekend.
It's the Temple of Hotmogu.
This is a fun little brawl where you get to enter the Temple of Kotmogu
with a few different changes.
First of all if you have the orb of power
you're gonna be able to pass it to fellow teammates and secondly respawn
timers have been drastically reduced other than that there's nothing really
particularly special about this brawl but it is a nice change up from the
usual random battlegrounds that players can compete in.
Next up this week is the world quest bonus event during this
event you will receive 50% increased reputation gained from all world quests.
This is one of my favorite weekly events in World of Warcraft Legion
because so many things this expansion are tied to reputation.
First of all if you're trying to unlock flying now is a
really great week to get in the grind in order to get those reputations up to
exalted.
Or if you really want the faction mounts from Argus you'll also be
able to get increased reputation from world quests for both the Army of the
Light and the Argussian Reach.
You'll also be able to pick up a quest in which
you receive 5000 order resources for completing 20 world quests, and 20 world
quests isn't that much of a number so I highly recommend picking the quest up
today is sadly the last full day of Hallows end so if you're planning on
spending some of your well saved tricky treats on some new pets then now would
be the time to do so and if you're like me and have had no luck getting the
Headless Horseman mount this event then today is also the last day that you will
be able to do that so I am saying a quick prayer for all of you and me
included that we all get good luck and get that Headless Horseman mount however
with the end of Hallows End we also have Day of the Dead starting November 1st and
running through November 3rd.
This is a fun little event where you can get a new
battle pet as well as do a couple of fun activities I'm going to be listing a
full guide in the description down below the Darkmoon Faire for the month of
November is also starting this weekend so if you're on the road to get the dark
moon dirigible now is a great time to start grinding out those dark moon
tickets also don't forget that you can pick up a 10% leveling and experience
buff in order to help yourself either level or get those last bits of
experience you need to get exalted with reputations as always I will link a full
guide to the Darkmoon Faire in the description down below.
Now we do have some
I think ethics is for this week however I already recorded the video for them
and uploaded it last week by accident so instead of re-recording at all I'm just
going to let past Raxef come forward
into this video and explain to you what the mythic affixes are for this week.
The mythic affixes is for this week are
bolstering skittish and fortified with bolstering that non boss enemies will
buff nearby allies health and damage every time they are defeated what this
means is that you're gonna want to use your AoE to defeat all of the mobs in a
pack at the same time if you focus one down and then move on to the next you're
simply going to be buffing the health and damage of all the surrounding
enemies and it's gonna take you that much longer to defeat them and be a real
pain on your healer skittish means that the tank generates 75% less threat so
what's really beneficial here is if you have a really strong AoE CC like the
Warriors shockwave encase mobs get loose and start running towards other players
thankfully you should be focusing on AoE these mobs down altogether and that way
you don't really need to worry about one particular enemy getting loose and
wandering towards a range DPS if you manage to CC them all in a group and
then AoE them down you shouldn't have any trouble with this mechanic at all
and lastly fortified buffs the health of all non boss enemies and increases their
damage dealt by 30% right off the bat this does mean that you are gonna be
spending more time defeating non boss enemies so don't be afraid to blow your
cooldowns in order to get through them quicker and also don't forget to do the
mechanics and interrupt non boss enemies whenever you can since the first ethics
this week is bolstering do take care to really AoE those mobs down as best you
can because if you have fortified and a bolstering goes off and one of the
fortified non boss enemies gets higher health and damage it's going to be
really really hard to take care of it particularly if you don't really AoE the
mobs down and you just have one going off right after another you're gonna end
up with one enemy that has four or even five stacks of bolstering and it's gonna
be really really hard for you to take it down and it's gonna be doing so much
damage that your healer might struggle to keep you alive however if you
coordinate pulls with your tank and your DPS cooldowns with other DPS then you
should have no problem getting through this week's
mythic dungeons and last but certainly not least Blizzcon is this week I'm
actually going to be attending Blizzcon this week so I will try my hardest to
get videos up as soon as I can while covering the event at the same time my
first video regarding Blizzcon will be up on Thursday and that will cover my
predictions and hopes for World of Warcraft during the event needless to
say there's going to be a lot of content coming out on this channel pertaining to
BlizzCon over the next couple of days so be sure to keep an eye out for it if
you're attending BlizzCon then hit me up in the comments section down below I
would love to meet you and for all of those watching online I hope you guys
enjoy all of the content that will be offered to you via the streams and
that's gonna do it for this week in Warcraft if you like the video then give
it a thumbs up if you have anything to say if you're wanting to vent about not
getting that Headless Horseman mount or if you're really excited from BlizzCon
and you can't wait for the streams to start then let me know in the comment
section down below and if you like my channel and you want to keep up to date
with the types of videos that I'm making then of course feel free to subscribe with
that being said I look forward to seeing you guys in the next video.
See you later!

Old Timey Movies Scarier Than Anything Made Today - Duration: 4:04.
(computer typing)
- [Narrator] If you're anything like us,
you don't find yourself getting particularly
frightened by old horror movies.
Look at these (beep)-holes.
A movie about walking to 7-Eleven by yourself
would be more terrifying.
Okay, he looks pretty suspicious.
Hollywood isn't exactly telling
the most bone-chilling tales these days either.
10 hours of footage of a producer's empty mansion,
ghosts you can literally throw in the trash,
and this horse (beep).
- (in rough voice) The bye bye man.
- [Narrator] You might be asking yourself, man,
did we ever know how to make a scary movie?
Well the answer to that question is
a loud, richly baritone yes
because, if you go back to the early days of cinema,
you'll find some truly horrifying works of film,
many of which, it is important to note,
were scary by accident.
Here's the "Execution of Mary Stewart" released in 1895.
That was a year in which film was so new
that most people were sufficiently entertained
by watching soundless footage of trains
and people riding gigantic bicycles.
But Thomas Edison decided to go straight
for the torture porn because he, among many other things,
was a big, whistling (beep)-hole.
Edison hired a director, gathered a bunch of actors,
and recreated the 1587 beheading of Mary Stewart
from start to uncensored head-rolling finish.
The 18-second film actually features the first trick edit
at the moment when the actress playing Mary
is replaced with a mannequin.
Normally, we wouldn't bother pointing out
that a movie didn't actually kill one of its actors,
but, when you're talking about a movie produced
by a guy who was absolutely willing
to publicly execute animals in order to sell his inventions,
that's a welcome asterisk.
L'Inferno was Italy's earliest feature-length movie,
and it mostly takes place in hell
because they didn't want anyone to actually enjoy it.
This movie came out before World War I,
and it's full of some truly wild (beep),
including a naked man carrying his own head
like a bag full of poop,
people buried up to their necks in the ground,
and this (beep)-hole just ripping their hair out,
and demons just wailing on a bunch
of horrified naked people.
They didn't ask to be here, guys.
You act like they stole from you.
The final image of this movie is a huge
three-mouthed Satan sitting on the horizon,
presumably overseeing the events of the film,
while chewing on the bodies of two hapless bastards.
Look at him go.
Weird they couldn't find people for his other mouths.
Some movies like to save their most shocking scenes
for the end, but those movies are not The Man Who Laughs,
which opens with a nobleman being sentenced to death
in an Iron Maiden while his son Gwynplaine
is given surgery to force his face into
a grotesque permanent smile.
That's some weirdly specific justice being dispensed there.
While we are clearly meant to sympathize with him,
it doesn't help that he is smiling
like an undead maniac for the entire movie.
Just look at this goddamn ghoul.
I can't have tears for you, man.
As you may have guessed, Batman's arch nemesis, The Joker,
was actually based on Gwynplaine,
who in turn was based on the director's hatred
of peaceful, dreamless sleep.
1933's The Peanut Vendor is a stark reminder
of a bygone era in which child abuse
was an acceptable form of children's entertainment.
The star of this experimental short
is a pipe-cleaner-monkey puppet singing along
to an uptempo Jazz number while simultaneously
daring anyone who looks at him to continue believing in God.
The director is said to have based the puppet's movements
on his wife's dancing, making this one of the most
circuitous cries for help in recorded history.
He was either married to a reanimated skeleton
or psychological terror is a dance you can do
and we didn't know it existed.
Based on an Edgar Allen Poe story, the 1936 short
Il Caso Valdemar deals with a man who wants to find out
what happens if a dying person is put under hypnosis.
He picks his good pal Valdemar,
who is dying of tuberculosis,
a disease you may recognize as being the closest thing
to a retirement package that they offered in those days.
Pretty low bar for hypnotism, too.
The whole operation is suspect.
Anyway, once the experiment is over,
the hypnotist tries to bring his buddy back to life.
Unfortunately, as soon as Valdemar comes out
of his hypnotic state, he speed rots into a skeleton
like he drank from the false grail.
- He chose...
poorly.
- [Narrator] It is unclear why this happens, it just does
because every reel of film from pre-war Europe
is absolutely haunted.
Hopefully he didn't mark this experiment down as a success
because, buddy, you are inflating your numbers.

Haunting Starring Polterguy Review - Sega Genesis / Mega Drive - Duration: 5:04.
Haunting Starring Polterguy is a unique title for the Mega Drive and Sega Genesis.
Whereas typically in games it's best to avoid troublesome ghosts, in this you get to play
as one!
But is it any good?
Let's take a look in this review...
After being hit by a truck while on a faulty skateboard, the kid you play as (Polterguy)
decides to seek revenge on the manufacturer and his family, known as the Sardini's.
I'm not sure why he wasn't just looking where he was going, why he didn't decide to target
the lorry driver instead or why Vito (the Father) looks like Alan Partridge on the European
cover art, but I guess it doesn't matter too much.
The game explains the basic premise with typical early 90s "radical" attitude.
Bart Simpson was all the rage back then and while Bill and Ted tried to teach us to all
to "be excellent to each other", it's much more fun to be mischievous.
You're given a quick tutorial of how to interact with objects and scare the family, and this
is what the game is all about.
At the bottom of the screen you have an "Ecto Meter" which keeps track of all your ectoplasm.
Over time, this depletes slowly, but you can collect more for each time you scare a family
member as they leave the room.
The goal is to cause all of the Sardini's to run out of the house screaming and have
a lot of fun doing so.
The sheer number of objects you can interact with is really impressive.
Once you've scared everyone out of the house, the Sardini family move into a new home and
you get to do it all over again.
There's 4 in total to play through with a boss at the very end.
Each house has a different layout with new objects to interact with.
You won't get a chance to use all of them in your first playthrough, which is what gives
this game it's core replay value.
Trust me, you'll want to try and see everything!
Where this game doesn't do so well is when you run out of ectoplasm.
Unfortunately it takes you to an underworld dungeon where you must collect more ecto to
refill your meter, avoiding enemies or you will die.
This is the only way you can die, even though you're technically dead already...?!
You can also find some power-ups here later on which can prove useful, such as items to
distract the family dog, replenish your ecto meter or leave a super scary gift for the
family.
The worst part of these areas is the jump mechanic.
For some reason if you jump too near a wall you bounce away from it which can be really
frustrating.
The final boss exists in this area at the end of the game and the aiming and hit detection
for that is also painful to endure.
The controls in general are quite "floaty", but this is forgivable seeing as you play
as a ghost.
One other thing some people may find slightly annoying is that when you scare a family member
out of a room, you have no real control over which exit they take.
Sometimes they can keep going back into the room they were previously in, but they will
eventually go a different way if you persevere.
Interestingly, there is a 2 player mode.
You must take it in turns to try and scare the family out in as quick a time as possible.
If the times are the same, the winner is based on points.
The only areas you play alongside each other is in the dungeons, but I guess it's still
an interesting feature if you have a friend over, as you'll get the opportunity to see
more object interactions in one playthrough, provided they don't just copy all your movements.
There's not much in the way of music, possibly due to the fact that there's a lot of sound
effects which play a more important role.
The main focus here is obviously the gameplay, graphics and animation which this game does
really well.
It's very impressive for a 16-bit isometric title.
Overall, Haunting Starring Polterguy is a great game to play in short bursts and return
to, especially around Halloween.
It's fun, simple, and has a good sense of humour.
It's just a shame there was never a sequel as I feel there was some great potential here.
The nearest thing to a modern adaptation I've played is Ghost Master on the PlayStation
2, which I'll no doubt cover in the future.
As for this video please like, share and subscribe if you enjoyed it.
It really helps me learn what videos you enjoy and how to make them better.
If you've played this game, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it in the comments below.
Did you ever complete it or do you have any favourite scares that you remember?

12 Weird Things That Actually Exist in Japan - Duration: 8:13.
Brainy Dose Presents:
12 Weird Things That Actually Exist In Japan
Japan is a fascinating and extremely unique country.
It really can't be compared to any other country in the world!
It's rich in culture and it's filled with all kinds of traditions, crazy inventions,
amazing technologies, weird products and bold fashion trends.
Japan has always come across as the mysterious oriental country where the unusual is considered
normal.
This list highlights 12 weird things that actually exist in Japan.
From strange to bizarre, the following will definitely baffle you!
Number 1 - CROOKED TEETH COSMETIC PROCEDURE
In the Western world, beauty includes having straight teeth, and people spend thousands
of dollars on braces and cosmetic dental work to perfect their smile.
But, in Japan, young women actually get expensive cosmetic procedures to have fanged, crooked
teeth!
Yes, you heard that right.
The procedure is called "yaeba," translating literally as "double tooth."
It's normally done to one or two teeth (usually the canines), and is supposed to make women
seem a little less perfect, and therefore less intimidating.
Number 2 - CAPSULE HOTELS
You've probably spent a night in a hotel room before, and you know that hotel rooms
are usually spacious… well spacious enough to walk around, and they contain a bed, a
washroom, a desk, and usually a television.
Capsule hotels in Japan?
Now that's another story!
They consist of tiny individual pods stacked on top of each other, with enough room in
each for a single bed and a locker.
Sometimes, there's a small TV or a radio.
The pods are located in a building (not a spacecraft) and there are communal bathrooms.
It's a pretty great idea for those who are on a budget - or just need a place to sober
up for the night.
Number 3 – ROBOT RESTAURANT
The Robot Restaurant is one of the most famous themed restaurants in Japan.
It's entertaining, astonishing, overwhelming, crazy - and perhaps equally pointless!?
Inside you'll find lots of colorful flashing lights and mirrors with metallic surfaces,
lasers and glitz, and the world's most dexterous androids to meet the great wonders of technology.
The combination of alluring showgirls, dancing robots and unforgettable techno sounds create
an atmosphere of both craze and mystique!
Number 4 – OUTRAGEOUS KITKAT FLAVORS
Kit Kat bars are awesome!
And they're popular pretty much everywhere.
But the Kit Kat bar seems to be especially popular in Japan, as its name translates to
an expression of 'good luck.'
It's no surprise that Nestle has capitalized on this by introducing wacky flavors targeting
Japanese consumers…
The wasabi-flavored Kit Kat is probably the strangest flavor, but there are other weird
ones, too.
For example, there's also soy sauce, baked potato, cherry blossom and green tea – just
to name a few.
Number 5 - SLEEPING ON THE JOB
In most countries, sleeping on the job will likely get your ass fired.
But in Japan, napping in the office is common and culturally accepted.
In fact, it's often seen as a subtle sign of diligence: indicating that one must be
working them-self to exhaustion.
This practice is actually encouraged to let people refresh themselves for further work
ahead!
If only all employers around the world saw it that way - Mondays wouldn't be half as
bad…
Number 6 - ADULT ADOPTION
Adopting a child is a totally normal concept around the world.
It's even seen as a very noble thing to do.
But, adopting an adult sounds a bit odd!
Well, in Japan, 98% of adoptions are actually adult men, aged between 20 and 30 years old
— not children.
But, the reason has to do strictly with business!
The centuries-old practice was developed as a mechanism for families to extend their family
name, estate and ancestry without a cumbersome reliance on blood lines.
Still common today, adult adoption is a dynamic tool for social and economic mobility.
Businesses adopt their executives so companies or institutions are "family-run" groups.
In other words, bosses adopt their employees!
Number 7 - LIBERATION WRAPPER
Japanese beauty trends involve having a small mouth.
But, eating a large hamburger seems to go against this concept…
To solve this "problem," the Freshness Burger restaurant chain developed the Liberation
Wrapper!
Featuring a photograph of a woman's lower face - with a closed mouth on the front, the
wrapper covers the customer's face, thus "freeing" her to eat her burger without
fear of anyone seeing her open mouth.
Number 8 - SUICIDE FOREST
Aokigahara is a forest located northwest of Mount Fuji.
The forest has very dense foliage that literally blocks wind, making it a quiet and eerie place
- that for some reason – has become a popular spot for suicides.
Japan has a long history with suicide and its suicide rates are among the highest in
the developed world.
However, the country has taken measures to help reduce suicides, especially in the forest.
There are now security cameras and patrols at the entrance of the forest, as well as
signs encouraging people to think about the effects of their actions on their families.
Number 9 - TOILET SLIPPERS
The Japanese are famous for their strict hygiene habits and sanitary precautions.
You may already know that they never enter the house wearing their shoes.
They put on slippers.
What most people don't know, is that they change into a different pair of slippers when
going to the toilet.
They do this, because they don't want to spread germs around the house.
Number 10 - ENDLESS VENDING MACHINE OPTIONS
Vending machines are convenient!
If you're craving a snack or need something to drink, you just need to find a vending
machine, put in a few bucks, and you're good to go.
But, what if you're craving… say… some flying fish soup, a burger, eggs, a banana,
beer or meat sauce?
Well, in Japan, there are vending machines for those too.
There are vending machines for flowers, umbrellas, toilet paper, electronics, underwear, condoms,
adult toys, movies and magazines, pet Rhinoceros Beetles … and just about anything else you
can imagine.
And I'm not exaggerating, either.
Japan actually has the highest density of vending machines in the world - apparently
one per every 23 people!
Number 11 - KFC ON CHRISTMAS EVE
On Christmas Eve, North Americans and Europeans usually feast on a turkey or ham.
And what do Japanese feast on?
Yep.
Kentucky Fried Chicken!
Although it's not a national holiday, Christmas is celebrated by a large number of people
in Japan.
And while it seems odd to be eating fast food on Christmas Eve, it's not just breasts
and thighs – the meals have morphed into special family meal-sized boxes filled with
chicken, cake and wine!
And yes, you can get a whole roasted chicken.
KFC outlets became popular among foreigners in Japan as they couldn't find a whole
chicken or turkey elsewhere during the festive season.
The fast food chain seized this opportunity with a highly successful marketing campaign
in the 1970's - and now a trip to KFC is a Christmas tradition in Japan!
Number 12 - HŌNEN MATSURI
This list wouldn't be complete without the mention of the Hōnen Matsuri, a unique Japanese
fertility festival.
The weirdest part of the festival is the parade, during which a giant wooden phallus is carried
from one shrine to another.
Once the phallus has reached the shrine, prayers and blessings are recited by the Shinto priests.
During the Hōnen Matsuri, Shinto priests play musical instruments, there's all-you-can-drink
Sake available, and participants feast on mostly phallus-shaped sweets and rice cakes;
but all sorts of foods and souvenirs are sold as well.
Have you ever been to Japan?
What do you find the most surprising about this country?

Why Do We Hiccup? - Duration: 1:50.
In this video, you will learn why do we hiccup?
Please consider subscribing to this channel by clicking the subscribe button and clicking
bell icon to get notified when we upload new video.
Hiccups are noises that come from your diaphragm which is a dome-shaped muscle at the bottom
of your chest.
When you inhale, the diaphragm pulls down to help pull air into the lungs.
When you exhale, the diaphragm relaxes and air flows out of the lungs back out through
the nose and mouth.
But sometimes the diaphragm becomes irritated and when this happens, it pulls down in a
jerky way which makes you suck air into your throat suddenly.

7 Things You Can Learn from Entrepreneurs Who Sold Their Online Businesses - Duration: 3:07.
At Quiet Light brokerage we've seen hundreds of deals for online businesses
Some good and smooth, and some, not so good.
We've seen some trends among the good deals and particularly the good sellers.
Many entrepreneurs don't know that when it comes time to sell your website,
the buyer might make an offer based on the site, but the deal will close they trust you.
So here are seven traits that you can learn from great sellers.
The first thing most great sellers have in common is that they typically plan for at least one year before their exit.
They have their documentation prepared, which in itself can be a process that last months.
They also ensure to properly planning that the business is lean.
Meaning it doesn't require their involvement to run smoothly
and that it's easy transferable.
These are really attractive qualities from potential buyers.
Now a good seller can't plan ahead without being organized. 14 00:00:56,020 --> 00:00:57,030 When contemplating in acquiring a business,
buyers really want to know that the current owner has paid attention to detail.
Understands key metrics associated with their sales
and can provide materials easily for due diligence.
The more organized and clear your information is, the more attractive your business becomes.
Another thing the best sellers know, before they put their business up for sale,
is what they want to get out of their business in an acquisition.
It can be tempting to set a goal of getting the most money possible out of the deal,
but this is setting an abstract goal, which will probably lead to you getting less in the end.
Good sellers have the vision to establish the right evaluation.
And the discipline to know in advance with the good terms of a sale would be for them.
So in order to have this clear goal,
a good seller knows what the proper evaluation for the business is and why.
They price their business correctly.
Because they understand that they can get more for their business in the long run
if they attach a fair sale price from the start.
In that sense, good sellers are not going to be greedy and try to win their terms of any deal
or ask for more than their business's worth.
We've seen examples where in an inflated asking price
has led to luke warm interest or offers lower than the seller would have received
if they try to sell at the proper price point.
Sellers who try to win every concession in a deal, end up losing in the long run.
Not all traits of a good sale rely on the seller.
The website being sold can be equally important.
The recipe for a great sale usually happens when a seller builds a business
that is relatable and understandable but unique enough to avoid looking like a cookie cutter website.
Maybe the seller has a unique ordering system or a new twist on an old niche.
Most sellable websites have something unique that differentiates them from the competition
but isn't so strange that it's unrelatable.
Finally, a great seller makes her business easy to manage.
Most people who visit our website thinking about acquiring an internet business
want to buy something that doesn't have a tremendous work load or specialized knowledge of a niche.
Like I said earlier, great sellers make their websites easily transferable.
