Waching daily Sep 1 2018

All of us have seen zombies in movies.

But how do you make one?

There are certain synthetic chemicals and naturally existing organisms that can change

humans into zombies.

But that's illegal and dangerous.

Then let's focus on something safer and that exists naturally.

This way our lives will not be at peril!

By the way, there are such parasites that can create animal zombies.

Come on then, let us delve deeper into 7 things that turn animals into zombies

Number 1.

Schistocephalus Solidus Schistocephalus solidus is a bird tapeworm

Schistocephalus solidus.

Don't underestimate this guy for he uses three hosts in its life cycle.

It lays its eggs in a bird's digestive system.

The eggs are then transported to a water habitat via bird droppings.

After that, they hatch into larvae.

These are then eaten by copepods, which is a type of crustacean species.

The copepods are further consumed by stickleback fish.

This is the location where tapeworm grows as the living conditions are ideal.

Then the tapeworm initiates a chemical mechanism.

This alters the host fish's behavior.

The fish does not reside with its school anymore.

It swims to the warmer waters, which is preferred by a growing tapeworm.

Abandoning its school makes the stickleback vulnerable to predators like seabird.

This is where a mature tapeworm wants to live.

That's because it has to lay its eggs.

Then the cycle starts all over again.

Number 2.

Apocephalus Borealis Apocephalus borealis belongs to the fly species.

It is a parasite which prefers to lays its eggs in bumblebees.

It also uses honeybees and paper wasps as a host.

This species stay in soil.

But eventually reproduces with the help of a ghost moth caterpillar.

The infected caterpillar will "plant" itself in soil, with its head pointing toward

the surface.

The fungus grows over winter, digesting the caterpillar from the inside.

In the spring, a fruiting body will burst through the caterpillar's head and "sprout"

above the soil.

Often the "stalk" of fungus will be bigger than the caterpillar itself.

The fungus is found only in Tibet and the Himalayas,

Number 3.

Zatypota Percontatoria The parasitic wasp, Zatypota percontatoria,

feeds on the spider, Neottiura bimaculata.

The wasp injects an egg into the abdomen of the spider.

The egg then hatches within the body and feeds on the innards.

The zombie mind-control only occurs when the larva is almost mature.

This is the time when the spider stops its normal web-spinning pattern and begins spinning

a different kind of web.

When the preferentially customized web is ready, the larva bursts from the spider, killing

it.

Damn, that is gross!

Number 4.

Virus IIV-6 Or CrIV If you thought AIDS virus was the only sexually

transmitted disease that ever existed, then you are mistaken.

The virus IIV-6 or CrIV is a STD that affects crickets particularly.

But this virus' rampage does not end here.

It has an ace of a trick up its sleeve.

It modifies the behavior of crickets for its own selfish purposes.

Such hosts affected by this virus become more sexually active than a non-infected cricket.

It allows the spread of the virus from one host to another, preferably a female.

Then the infected male and female continue to mate until they die, helping the virus

multiply its numbers and thus increase its population exponentially.

This freak of a virus is therefore an incredible genius.

Number 5.

Central American Acacia Tree Can you ever imagine a tree to be a parasite?

No?

Then ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce to you a marvel of the plant kingdom – The

Central American Acacia Tree.

This tree and the ant Pseudomyrmex ferrugineus co-exist in a symbiotic relationship.

The tree provides sweet nectar for the ants, and the ants protect the tree from weeds and

animals.

But don't be fooled by this tree's rather innocent demeanor.

It has just one job – to produce zombie ants that serve its own selfish ends.

Scientists now know that the relationship is rather one-sided.

The tree causes the ants to become addicted to its nectar.

It also damages the ants' capability to digest any other food!

This loathsome monster tree certainly has a wicked and cruel mind.

Number 6.

Pseudacteon Litoralis Pseudacteon litoralis is another parasitic

fly.

Its prey is the dangerous species of fire ants of South America.

The female fly lays an egg in the ant's body via a syringe shaped part of its body

that is called an ovipositor.

The egg hatches inside the ant.

The larva then works its way to the ant's brain.

Does it control its brain?

No!

But it does something which exceeds all the limits of disgust, grossness and gore.

It feasts on the ant's brain and eats it completely.

The rest of the ant colony doesn't even suspect that the host ant no longer has a

brain.

That's because the fly larva causes the zombie ant to keep on working and behave normally.

The larva matures into a pupa.

Then it causes the ant to abandon the colony and reach a litter in the forest.

The fully matured fly pops out the ant's empty head and emerges from the dead body

to find another victim.

Sounds straight like a sci-fi horror flick, doesn't it?

Number 7.

The Meta Parasite A wasp is a parasite that feeds off other

insects.

That doesn't translate in it being the apex predator.

In fact, they can become victims themselves!

These parasites that feed on other parasites are called "hyperparasitoids."

The story of this parasite begins from a cabbage.

When a caterpillar starts feeding on a cabbage, it emits a chemical alarm.

The scent of the chemical summons a parasitic wasp called Cotesia rubecula or Cotesia glomerata.

This wasp infects the caterpillar with their eggs.

This benefits the cabbage in the long run by curbing the cabbage-eating caterpillar

population.

But the chemical also attracts another wasp species called Lysibia nana.

Lysibia Nana, in turn, lays its egg in the Cotesia larva that is already feeding off

the still-living caterpillar!

Phew!

That's some action!

The Lysibia Nana wasp can tell which Cotesia species is inside the caterpillar.

That's because the larva changes the chemical composition of the host's saliva.

Lysibia nana can smell the difference.

It prefers a caterpillar infected with Cotesia Glomerata.

But hey, the Lysibia Nana wasp is vulnerable to yet other cluster of meta-parasites.

But let's keep that for another day.

All you need to know is, none of the wasp species are safe.

So, are there any other zombie-creating parasite organisms that should be included in this

list?

SO MUCH BLUE! | Drawing Something Using Every BLUE PEN, PENCIL, MARKER, WATERCOLOR, ETC I Own. - Duration: 16:11.

*♪ mellow music ♪* If you've been an artist for any amount of time

you've probably noticed that art supplies tend to accumulate around you.

Many of these art supplies serve different purposes,

and other ones are kind of redundant.

And today I'm gonna find out which are which.

heh

And I'm gonna draw with every single blue art supply that I own.

On the left of the screen in a ♪ neat little row ♪

I have all of my blue art supplies.

And we're going to start things off using my

blue Prismacolor Col-Erase Pencil because it's the only thing I have that can erase.

And, you know what? I want to be able to sketch and erase, so...

*comical music pause* There's that.

*giggle*

I'm drawing pretty lightly. So I'm not gonna dwell too much time on this section of the drawing,

but I did want to address what I'm drawing, and I

knew it was going to be with the color blue. [gasps :P]

So I had to draw something that would incorporate a lot of blue and I came to think,

"what's my favorite thing that's blue?" and I kept coming back to the sky.

I really like looking up at the sky and just staring straight up into this endless abyss,

like it just continues... for eternity.

I just think that's awesome. heh

So I wanted to draw that and I'm drawing a character that is very much inspired by the sky.

I decided to do more of a daytime sky because of the colors that I had... and I thought, "ooh!

Maybe her hair is a cloud and..."---and then when it came to the outfit, I was like well

"What's an outfit that could be inspired by the sky?" I thought, "maybe a...

jumpsuit, like someone skydiving or... a flight attendant!" So... *snicker*

Flight attendants what I eh---ultimately ended up with so she's got like a little ascot and a... little peplum top.

It's not like inspired by any specific uniform. It's kind of just... a mismatch of them. Hm!

Then I erased everything so that the sketch was even lighter so that I could go over it with a line art and, I used this

Ohuhu multi-liner [Fineliner 0.4] in a pretty dark blue.

I have four of these [way to brag XD] and none of them have like an actual color name.

So... just a blue Ohuhu Fineliner [0.4]

This one... specifically...

Since I have so many different blue multi liners. I wanted to switch them out pretty often.

Otherwise, I was gonna have a lot of leftovers at the end.

So I switched to this Staedtler [Triplus] Fineliner

It's a little bit of a lighter color blue, and since her hair was going to be clouds

I thought a lighter blue would be better for lining her eyebrows.

Moving on to a darker version of that Staedtler Fineliner,

um, I was able to use this to do the exact same thing that I use for the Ohuhu fineliner.

So you'll see where I'm getting to the point where I'm realizing some of my art supplies are kind of redundant, and maybe I don't

need to own all of these things, *giggle* and we're only three art supplies in so far. So... yeah... *snicker*

I also managed to draw the two worst hands I think I've drawn in like a year.

*Music pause* So...

let's just...

pay tribute to those

hm?

So yeah, I used that darker Staedtler to basically outline the entire outfit.

Then I switched to another Ohuhu fineliner, and added some---like sort of dimension,

so like darker lines under some of the sections where like,

you know, light wouldn't be hitting if this was a 3d object. And then I switched to a lighter Ohuhu fineliner to add---

to add the line art of her scarf that's around her neck.

And I also just sort of went around where I'd already put line art to---with the same color to kind of make it a bit bolder.

Then using my final blue Ohuhu fineliner, I just sort of went over the same lines again.

Mostly because I didn't really know what to do with this because I had so many of these and this is where yeah

*mouth pop*

redundancy, right? bored of using fineliners I decided to completely switch up the medium and use water colors.

This is a cerulean blue and I used it to paint in the sky background.

Um... I... kind of messed up at first so it's a bit blotchy.

But I gotta figure out what I was doing as I go along and I put down a lot of this color.

I think I spend a lot more time than I plan on showing you with it.

But yeah.

Just I wanted there to be some texture because there's suppose to be a lot of clouds,

but kinda wish I'd been a little bit smoother, especially since when I go over this with a lot more of the art supplies,

you'll see on the left there still a lot more to go,

*uhyuck*

I had to find places to put those and it ended up being a lot of it in the sky as well.

Um... so it doesn't really matter that this ended up being kind of blotchy so...

Next I went in with this Prussian blue water color, and darkened up at the lower half of the sky.

I had found this reference on Pinterest of this, um---

It was a still a blue sky,

but the stars were just starting to appear in like so it was like just becoming nighttime, and it was s00oo pretty, and I was

very inspired to darken the sky because of that and I'm so glad that I did because

later, I do something that ♪ we'll see when I get there. ♪

You'll just have to wait. *snicker* Painting the sky, I definitely realized that I quite enjoy using watercolors as a medium.

So not only am I learning which were supplies

I have that are redundant, but I'm also learning which supplies I prefer to use.

So yeah, it's a pretty cool exercise... I guess.

The next art supplies I used was this blue Posca pen,

[which is] something I don't have a lot of experience with, [but] I know that they're kind of like opaque markers,

and I basically just used this, since it's kind of a dark color, to create a bold line at the bottom of the...

illustration and sort of faded it out with strokes to add texture.

That was a bit [of] experimenting on my part.

Next up, I'm sure you've used one of these before in your lifetime.

It is a blue Crayola magic marker,

and honestly, I can say after having finished this illustration now,

um, this was not my least favorite art supply to use so... I had a lot of fun with this one.

I basically used it to sort of blend out some of the Posca and then also to create sort of like a...

cartoony harsh shadow under some of the clouds.

Next, I moved into my Ohuhu alcohol-based markers, which I ♪ love. ♪

Um, I have several blue ones. So... this is a bit of a process. The first one is this one and I...

---This is kind of where things start getting *sniff* pretty redundant.

I basically just used it to blend out the sky, and make it darker, and like try to create as smooth a gradient as possible

Next up, (and this is quite fitting) I use this Windsor Newton brush marker in the color sky blue.

*angelic "ahh"*

So, I've basically applied this [to] as many places as possible

because I'm like, well, this is like literally the color of [the] sky.

So I guess I need to use a lot of it. Tah.

That was my logic anyway. Heh.

After that, I used this Crayola crayon and...

*sigh of regretful resentment*

If there was any art supply that I would have like... uh...

purposefully left out and pretended I didn't own

it would have been these crayons.

Like *sigh* I feel like they just didn't add to the picture.

I mean they added a lot of texture,

but not texture that I very much like. So...¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh! And because crayons are... you know waxy, It's kind of hard to build other things up on top of them.

Although I try! Just wait and see. Haha.

Next up, I used another Windsor Newton brush marker.

This one was, "cool aqua," and I used this to color in the skin.

After I had colored in the first arm,

I kind of decided to "artistically" only color the top half of the skin, like there was light

Illuminating from underneath her in some way.

I really liked the way that looked especially on the face.

I don't know if it makes any sense,

but the one arm I didn't do that with, and I kind of wish I had but... oh well!

*snicker*

um, I really like this color,

and I also noticed, because I swatched out all of these colors beforehand so that I would kind of

know where maybe I'd like to put them when it came to drawing the actual illustration, and I noticed that...

---Oh! But first, I'm using this Molotow water based marker. Heha.

But yeah,

just because the color is blue doesn't mean they all look the same,

like there are a cool blues and there are warm blues,

and then I also had some sort of grēēn blues.

And this is like the lightest of my green blues, and I purposely decided, and you'll see this as I continue on

this... artistic journey, that, heha, I

decided to use all of my green blues on the character to try and separate her from the background.

Can I just say I really like this Molotow marker?

Like I totally forgot I even own these. I think they came in a ScrawlrBox, like...

yeeaars ago, and they're basically water colors that are in, um, like a dual tip, brush pen, marker thing.

And so I'm able to get---I can like layer them up and get more...

shading that way, and I don't know

I just had a lot of fun with these, and I think I'm gonna have to dig out the other colors and play with them again.

Using another one of my greenish blue art supplies. I'm using the Edding 1200. This is like a metallic and

opaque pen marker thing.

I'm not entirely sure which one you would consider it,

but it's really really cool,

and like it's hard to go over the same place more than once [because] it starts to like scratch away at

itself, so I had to be very... um...

pur-pose-ful in where I would stroke the paper with this. *giggle*

That was a really weird way to say that. [yes, yes it was]

And literally only because I really enjoyed using this pen,

I decided to add like a little bit of detail to the bottom of her skirt.

Like a little embroidery design of like clouds and dots uh-huh.

But yeah, I really like this pen.

I think it stands out as one of my favorite blue art supplies.

Using another alcohol-based marker---this is the Style File marker, and ahaha,

it's definitely the stinky uncle of my blue art supplies.

pee-yew!

*giggle*

ˢᵗᶦⁿᵏʸ

Next up is the Ohuhu marker dual tip thing.

It's called a marker. I would consider it a brush pen more so [than that].

I use these mostly for bullet journaling. So it was kind of interesting trying to use them for an actual illustration.

I really like-how-like royal and dark and blue this one is so I used that to darken up again that bottom edge of the sky.

After that I used this blue Chalkola marker.

This is equivocally a uh...

dry erase marker with texture, so it's not really meant for paper,

but I managed to find some place to stick it on this illustration

It's also kind of opaque, so... I had to be careful where I put it.

Another one of my go-to "faves,"

this is the Paper Mate uh, blue highlighter

Before I owned like any alcohol-based markers these were basically what I used

because you could layer them up and you know, get some nice

shading going on. So I definitely still recommend these highlighters.

I love them.

And these two I apparently forgot to film close-ups,

but these are just two very basic Crayola colored pencils.

I have like a darker blue and a lighter blue, and I used these

To shade around the face because I had such a good experience shading the face

when I did that Crayola challenge a couple weeks ago.

So I was like hey, I---that really turned out pretty well.

So, I feel very comfortable going in on this face and like adding a little bit of like blue blush and [a] little nose shading.

♪ too-hoo ♪

[I'm] still using colored pencils. I have this Koh-I-Nor watercolor pencil.

So, I basically just used my paintbrush, dipped in water, and then dipped it on the end of the...

Ahaha... um...

the pencil and then applied that to the illustration that way, so I didn't have to like...

draw---actually draw with it. Aha.

And this really helped to like smooth out some of that background texture that I got from the crayon

and some of the markers.

So, I was happy to have another watercolor.

I meant to keep this video under ten minutes, but that's not gonna happen. [unfortunately for the me :/]

So I'm gonna talk a little bit faster. Hehe. These are sharpies. I'm sure you know what they are.

I used those in these illustrations as well. I had three blue sharpies.

So, three blue sharpies were used on this illustration in different sections of it.

Is that vague enough for you? Hehe. [Makes my life easier :P]

But yeah,

I noticed that a lot of the colors I had left were all very dark,

and I wasn't sure where I was going to be able to put them in the illustration.

So I decided to add some like shadows of clouds in the background

with these darker blues,

and I think that really helped make---like add depth to the background.

And so yeah, I'm kinda happy with that.

And even here my third and lightest Sharpie was really really dark.

So, I was able to add more dark clouds with that.

And my final colored pencil,

the Faber Castel Goldfaber Aqua, which is actually a watercolor pencil,

but I just used two as a pencil, and I added more shading to the face [which] darkened that up a little bit.

I previously used a blue...

Ohuhu alcohol-based marker in this illustration already,

but here are three more that I owned, and I used these as well.

Basically just going about the picture using the ones that are the lightest and the darkest for different things.

skIHgh

*deep inhale*

Oh, this commentary is really...

running out of things to say. [One might say it is getting a little... "redundant?" :P]

Not only is there redundancy in the art supplies. There is redundancy in the commentary. [Spoke too soon XD]

*growls like a velociraptor*

Oh hey! With this one I totally forgot this thing even existed!

This is like the Sakura micron [pigma] brush pen, I think.

It's blue so... I had to use it and I've managed to luckily find it.

It was actually on my desk this whole time, but it was like, you know

It was in one of those cups that like has art supplies in it that you like

never use, but like it looks cute because it's there on your desk here and it just says, "hey, I'm an artist!

Look, this is the desk of an artist because it's a cup art supplies" [cups don't talk O.o]

And these are my last two blue Ohuhu dual tip brush pens.

I actually used the lighter one to shade the kneecaps which was an interesting choice.

And I used the brush side of the pen for that and then for the darker one, I actually used the...

fine point... to... add like sort of---not texture um...

Just [to] sort of outline the shape of hair in the cloud of her hair

*makes a noise not unlike to a pogo stick compressing from a rather large height*

If that makes any sense at all.

Hands down the aesthetically weirdest marker I own is the Artline Stix brush pen.

Uh, It looks like a Lego, [I] still don't know why... [it] just does. [maybe so you can stick Lego bricks to it?]

This is the faber Castell Pitt artist pen in a metallic blue.

Since this one's metallic I used it to just add little earrings to her ear. Ahaha.

Who would've thought? Earings… in an ear. Hm.

We're really nearing the end here. *oohoohooh* Okay!

So this is the blue jelly roll pen.

[I] didn't use this for much basically just used it to uh,

darken her eyelashes, [and] make it look like she's wearing some ♪ falsieess. ♪

This I actually used to um...

sort of send some of those wispy air clouds further into the background

by shading over them a bit, and I kind of like the texture on them

I think it it's kind of cool

[I] don't love it. But hey, [you] do what you got to do.

Oh, and then I realized I forgot the color in her legs.

So, here I'm trying to figure out

which marker I've used for that because I used so many since then [so] I couldn't remember,

but luckily I did go with the right one.

It was that Windsor Newton marker.

And then we reached the final art supplyyyyyyyyyy!

WOOHoohoohₒₒₕₕₒₒ

This is the Holbein acrylic gouache, in... you guessed it! Blueww!

I used this to soften up any like

harsh edges that are left over from the less forgiving art supplies,

and basically add blue to anywhere that I felt still needed to be bluer. Ahaha.

But I wasn't done there! Hehe---But wait there's more!

I decided to go in with a white gel pen, [Cheater! :P]

this is the Signo uniball white gel pen, and add stars to the darker sections of the sky like the night

is just starting to fall. But yeah, I mentioned earlier that I saw this picture on Pinterest, that was so gorgeous.

So I just needed to emulate that in some small way so that I would never forget how beautiful that picture was.

So yeah, I did that and I really like it.

I feel like it adds a little extra pop or zing of interest to this illustration.

I also was planning on making her hair of clouds stand out more from the background,

but looking at it now, I kind of like that I left it sort of wispy.

Like it almost blends with the background because I feel like that makes her hair more cloud like in a way

because it's more part of the background

I'unno you can let me know if you feel the same way.

Anyway, this was me using I think it was---did you count while I was making them? I think it was..

Yeah, it was definitely a fun challenge. I know which supplies I don't really care to ever use again,

I know which ones work really well,

I know which ones were redundant, and I also kind of...

rekindled some love for like those Molotow markers. *clears throat* And yeah, I---I-I've

Unity Character Movement and Animation in 2D with Sprite Sheet Tutorial - Duration: 10:14.

What's up Game Developers? CouchFerret here,

and today we'll make an archer character and teach him how to move around.

We'll use some scripting to change his position by pressing the arrow keys,

and then we'll give him running animation with a sprite sheet and an animator controller.

If it sounds interesting,

then stay with me, and consider subscribing

so you won't miss any future progress on this game.

Cool, let's begin!

Let's open up Unity, and create an empty scene.

I chose 2D as the template when I created the project, so a few things are already set up.

Let's go to File/New Scene, then File/Save Scenes

and name it BasicMovementAndAnim.

Before importing the sprite sheet,

let's just change the background color.

We need to select the scene's Main Camera,

set Clear flags to Solid color

and Background to this greenish color #84BB67.

Okay,

let's continue with the sprite sheet.

An animation sprite sheet is an image which consists of multiple frames of an animation.

We can create the illusion of movement by rendering frames in quick succession,

like in cartoons.

Let's import the sprite sheet!

First, we need to create a folder for graphics, and to import anything into Unity,

we can just drag and drop it into the desired folder.

Before we can start using the sprite sheet,

we have to make sure to set the necessary parameters.

Without it, the image would look ugly.

For pixel art we have to set Filter Mode to Point (no filter) and Compression to None,

then we hit "Apply".

Okay, it looks good now, but for Unity it's still just an image and not a sprite sheet.

To solve this issue, we need to change the Sprite Mode to Multiple,

this means that this is an image which consists of multiple images.

Then we have to go to the Sprite Editor, hit Slice and set it to Grid by cell size of 30x30 pixels,

then Slice and Apply.

What was a single image before, is now multiple images.

Now, let's create our little archer and name it Keith. We'll make Keith run around in our grassy world.

The first step is to make the archer move left and right without playing the animation.

He will just slide.

Let's drag and drop the BasicMovement_2 sprite into the scene.

He's a bit small so we have to decrease the Size of the Main Camera to 1.8, which makes everything bigger.

For clarity, let's create a folder for scripts as well.

Okay, now we can open up a new C# script.

We'll access the Left and Right Arrow Key from code with

Input.GetAxis("Horizontal"),

this gives back a value between -1.0 and 1.0 depending on which arrow key we press.

To move Keith horizontally,

we have to change his transform.position on the X axis.

His position is a 3 dimensional vector representing a point in space,

so to add the movement to his current position we have to make sure the movement itself is also a Vector3.

(Types should always match)

Let's create a Vector3 variable which will represent the movement.

Vector3 horizontal = new Vector3(Input.GetAxis("Horizontal"),0.0f,0.0f);

The X coordinate contains Input.GetAxis("Horizontal") and the Y,Z coordinates are zeroes.

Now we can change Keith position with

transform.position = transform.position + horizontal

but because this code is in the Update() function,

it means that it will run in every frame.

So a Time.deltaTime multiplier is required for horizontal to smooth the movement out.

Our script is ready. Let's attach this BasicMovement script to Keith.

Now when we hit play, and press the arrow keys, Keith will move. Let's try it out!

Cool! But we still have work to do.

Previously we imported the sprite sheet, but to use it we have to make Animation objects out of it.

We need to select Keith in the Hierarchy window and open Window/Animation/Animation.

Let's hit Create and create a folder for Animations, then save his first animation as RunLeft.

By hitting Create, Unity also created an Animator Component for Keith.

Okay, let's drag the sprites from 0 to 5 and drop it to the timeline of the animation.

Now if we press Play then it will be really fast, Keith is running like a madman.

Let's slow him down a bit.

We need to change the sample rate to 12,

which means that the animation will be played at 12 frames per second.

Now, the animation looks much better.

We have to make sure that the animation is set to loop.

In the Animation window, let's create a new Clip called RunRight.

We need to drag and drop from 6-11 similarly to last time and also change the sample rate.

The last animation today is an Idle one,

it's just a standing still image of Keith.

We'll use the number 2 frame from the sprite sheet, and also change the sample rate.

We also have to make sure that both animations are set to loop.

So we've made all the necessary animations to animate Keith.

We have RunLeft, RunRight, and Idle.

Now it's time to tell Unity which animation it should play and when.

In Unity,

the logic behind character animation is handled by an Animator Controller asset.

The first time when we hit Create to make the first animation,

Unity also created an Animator Controller asset, and assigned it to Keith's Animator Component.

The Animator Controller is a state machine.

A State Machine is an abstract machine that can be in exactly one state at any given time.

The State Machine can change from one state to another in response to some external inputs;

the change from one state to another is called a transition.

A State Machine is defined by a list of its states, its initial state, and the conditions for each transition.

In Unity, every animation is a state, and the current state that the machine is in will govern the character.

So if the machine is in the RunRight state then Keith will look like he is running to the right.

Let's select Keith and open up Window/Animation/Animator.

Let's set the Idle animation as the Layer Default.

It means the machine or animator controller will start in the Idle state,

so Keith won't start running around without us hitting the arrow keys.

Let's reorganize the states and add a float Parameter named Horizontal.

This will be the input for the state machine to make transitions from one state to another.

The Animator Controller has special states,

the Any State is a shorthand way of adding the same outward transition to all states in your machine,

and Exit will forward us to Entry in this case, and then to Idle.

Now we need to create a transition from Any State to RunLeft,

and select it to uncheck Fixed Duration,

set Transition Duration to 0 and also uncheck Can Transit To Itself.

Every state can now transition to RunLeft if we set the conditions correctly.

The Horizontal Parameter will be negative if Keith moves to the left, and positive if he moves to the right.

We have to add a Condition with Horizontal Less than 0.

It means, if Keith moves Horizontally with less than 0,

then the State Machine should be in the state RunLeft, and by that the RunLeft animation will be played.

Then, to make him stop running at some point, we need to create a transition from RunLeft to Exit,

and uncheck Has Exit Time and Fixed Duration, and also set Transition Duration to 0.

The transition's condition should be Horizontal Greater than -0.001.

It's a bit weird because it should be greater than and equal 0,

but there is no equality operator here for floats,

so we can just pick an arbitrary negative number really close to 0.

By doing the same things for the other side, except the two conditions,

Keith will be almost ready to run.

The first condition should be Horizontal Greater than 0,

and the second should be Less than 0.001.

If we tested it now, no animation would play, because we haven't set the animation parameter's value.

Let's go back to the code editor, and declare an animator variable, so we can access Keith's animator component.

We need to set the Horizontal Animation Parameter to Input.GetAxis("Horizontal").

But before hitting Play,

we have to drag Keith's animator component

to his BasicMovement component's variable to fill the declared animator variable.

Finally, Keith is ready to run around the world.

Fantastic!

That's it for today folks!

Next Saturday, we will continue with Top Down character Movement and Animation,

so be sure to subscribe and leave a thumbs up!

If you have any questions from today, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer all of them.

See you next time!

6 Ways to Find the PERFECT Girlfriend! | How to Get A Girlfriend - Duration: 7:30.

So you're done being a player and are finally ready to settle down with a hot girl you actually

like.

By the end of this video, you'll know EXACTLY how to find yourself the perfect girlfriend.

But first.

WARNING:

Before you even consider getting into a serious relationship, you should first know yourself

as a person.

Relationships are a good way to find out more about yourself, but if you don't have a

foundation to build on, you will just end up in a miserable relationship.

I wouldn't suggest getting into a serious relationship before you had a fair share of

casual dating experiences or any other experiences that made it more clear what you want from

dating.

You should know what types of girls you like, what characteristics you like, what's a

red-flag for you, what activities you are into, what kind of relationship you want and

so on.

If you don't know these things beforehand, you will most likely end up in a relationship

with some kind of imbalance, because during the first months of a relationship you will

be thinking less rationally and even ignore some things that would've normally been

problematic for you, but these things will eventually start bothering you, so it's

better to figure out all of that shit before getting into anything serious.

Alright, now that we got that out of the way, let's get into the badass and godly advice.

Let's mothafucking do this.

#1 Don't wife basic bitches

Surprise, right?

No, seriously… this one apparently isn't as obvious as it should be.

There's a fuckload of guys out there who try to force relationships with girls they

don't even click with over some irrational obsession with a girl.

Chances are you are trying to do it too.

Don't try to get into a relationship with the girl you got a crush on after she looked

really fucking hot in biology class and you spend 20 minutes imagining how amazing she

must be, even though you don't know shit about her, because you never had a conversation

with her, but you still manage to be obsessing over her.

You see how stupid this sounds?

Well most guys do this ALL the time and it ends in them being in really stupid relationships.

Now that you watched this video, you're ahead of them.

Congratulations.

It's dope being godly isn't it?

You should stay rational and go after girls that actually fulfill you.

Girls that have something to offer to YOU.

Let's say you got into a deep conversation with a girl about a topic that's really

close to both of you and she really impressed you with her insight or let's say she's

extremely passionate about a field you have the same passion about.

That's the girl you should go after.

#2 Don't bullshit

If a girl catches your interest and you start to think about pursuing her on a more serious

level, you should be as honest as she allows you to be.

By "as she allows you to be" I mean that you should be just as honest as her or a little

bit more.

You shouldn't be shy about your opinions, intentions and who you are, because if you

want her to be your girlfriend, you have to show her who you really are, who you were

and where you want to go, unless you want to live in a lie.

Be open about your past, don't fake opinions to impress her and don't lie to her to get

her to do what you want.

Think of it like this, why would you lie to a girl who you plan on spending a lot of time

with and want to be yourself around?

If she reacts negatively to your honesty then that just shows you that she's not the right

candidate to be your girlfriend.

I treat this shit like the NBA draft, if a girl doesn't fit my criteria or can't

handle my honesty then there's literally hundreds and millions of other girls out there

who can, so I'll take my business elsewhere.

#3 Don't have sex with her right away

I'm a big believer in not fucking a girl you consider starting something serious with

on the first date.

I recommend this especially to guys who have more trouble getting casual sex partners.

Pussy can blind you, it's not a lie.

After you get some good pussy, chances are you will be very willing to ignore some shit

you could otherwise never overlook.

Good pussy is the #1 reason why a lot of alpha-males in development end up in bad relationships

and it's a very tragic cause I'm fighting for, as I believe all men alike deserve good

pussy AND good women.

#4 Make yourself stand out to her.

Not only does getting a girlfriend require you to make sure she's the right fit, but

it also requires her to think you're the right fit as well.

So, it's important for you to make yourself as appealing as possible to her and only present

your best self.

An easy way to do this is by dressing nicely and in a way that separates you from other

guys.

If you wanna have unique style that will definitely get you compliments from her, then i recommend

checking out our partner Vincero.

Vincero makes affordable luxury watches that look and feel fancy as fuck without having

to literally sell an arm and a leg to afford them.

Their watches have super detailed dials to make sure they look as good as most other

high-end watches AND their designs are sure to get you tons of compliments.

I've had so many of you guys reach out to me after buying one and telling me how much

pussy AND compliments it's gotten you.

No joke, I'll leave screenshots on screen to show you how much you guys love these watches.

And besides, what more could a guy ask for than pussy and compliments?

Exactly.

These watches can make any outfit and any guy instantly more stylish and sophisticated.

I'll be sure to leave a link in the description below for you guys to check out, I've handpicked

a curated collection of watches for you guys to choose from, as well as a discount so be

sure to give Vincero a try.

#5 Make sure she's on the same page

If you're talking to a girl and everything seems do be doing fine, you guys clicked,

keep seeing each other and have a lot of fun together.

Things are great, but she tells you she just isn't looking for anything serious and you

are, just move on.

Usually what happens in these situations is that one person tries to make a compromise

in order to not lose the other person, but that compromise usually just turns into a

fake promise that can't be kept.

If the girl isn't interested in anything serious, you won't make her.

It doesn't mean that she'll never be interested, but for now she shouldn't be your focus,

because feelings can't be compromised so no matter what compromise either of you try

to make, it won't be genuine and it will eventually lead to a bunch of arguments and

a failed relationship.

#6 Don't push things

When you know what you want and found a girl who you genuinely think provides that for

you, don't force anything.

Just stay patient and let things flow naturally.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't take charge and just be passive, but there's a huge

difference between taking charge and forcing.

If you start moving too fast or expecting too much too soon, it might scare her off.

Everyone has their own pace when it comes to these things and it's better to go a

little bit slower than trying to go too fast and making the whole thing collapse.

Take your time when getting to know each other, because in relationships, there's really

no hurry for anything.

If you're really right for each other, things should flow organically which means it'll

happen at a good pace.

In summary: don't wife basic bitches

be honest don't have sex right away

make yourself stand out make sure you're both on the same page

and don't push things

Remember to keep these in mind and also remember that it's better to be single than in a

shitty relationship.

And most importantly, don't forget to click the link below to get yourself a compliment-getting

Vincero watch, at a dope discount.

Scum starter guide - Scum how to Craft a shelter and box - Scum Giveaway (New Survival Game) - Duration: 8:28.

hi guys welcome back to scum now before

we start touch on that the giveaway

know let's careful we can be given to a

friend if you went as well it'll be

length that sent to you for a game

called of scum just a thank you for the

support I've had recently especially

with the CDs now also on that I have a

server that's just fully open it this is

that this is what I record on there's a

twenty pop server and me extend it and

tell you I'm not a hundred percent sure

yet but you're more than welcome to join

you learn the game and a peaceful quiet

environment no today's video we're going

to walk out how to build a shelter and a

box never box to access it you let tab

you'll see it at any facility open up

and you can just drag stuff into it as

simple as that

no if I open up a tick that to the side

put it outside it'll go outside the box

just go over to the bottom baseball bat

in hand done you can close the box again

and you can just put it back to the

normal facility so it's good if you're

doing PvE and again because it allows

you to have a safe point to come back to

because use Fame points to come back to

a shelter this does bug out sometimes

just bear that in mind know if you're

only here to find out the quick facts on

it I will explain the box first to make

the box you a stone axe then you chop

wood for logs then you chop the logs

into planks by holding here for for the

logs then you use the planks to build

the box if you want to see every star

I'm Phil we're gonna do it no I have

pre-made everything over here but I will

quickly run through exactly we need to

do and do a small demonstration on it as

we can see here I've got everything

already praying that I've got my

makeshift rope as well so everything is

already in place

well the favor have to do is chop down

the tree now we're game it then provides

shelter fast so what you have to do is

basically find a bush you'll see that's

one for instance I'll cut it down though

because you have to take a lot of steps

you'll have to run backwards and

forwards try and find an area which has

got a lot of bush near no to do this the

best thing that I can suggest that you

do

as Quentin uh section here you see em

venturi you'll see all the steps around

you now go to crafting and you can

bundle up the stacks so if we just

bundle these stacks up

you see timer over down then you have a

bundle of sticks that pop up put them in

your hand take them back over here to

all the stacks are left quit then you'll

see again you're in here you can't just

drop the bundle or sex don't you have to

UM craft them like so I'm crafts the

stacks and that is that just keep going

backwards and forwards know if you need

to make them provides rope all you have

to do is get some rags when they're I

guess just right corner and cut into

right strips then from there you go to

crafting when you've got enough right

strips I think it's five pure rope just

craft the rope as simple as that you can

use the tree bark rope as well or if you

find rope you can use that so that is

pretty much simply how it's done that

knows about the shell while after you

have everything in place simply just

craft the shower it's as simple as that

there's not to demand them and how it's

done now as I said this is good if

you're playing PvE or you're playing

solo and you have a spot that you want

to come back to all the time Haeju boxes

and rock species anyway you can now you

can turn right look for anything that is

just that's it it's done know to make

the box you're gonna have to find two

stones so an area where you can search

for rocks on the floor like so search

for rocks is any their gym facility it's

none they're just rocks again to show

your left quick left quick right-click

or from their crafting go to that smokes

to an axe head and you're gonna craft

one of them I already have one so I'm

not going to use it but basically then

from the out you go to stone axe go to

stone axe

all you need again it's someone and

provides rope a smokestack and the outs

here that you just made

no I've already got that so I'm not

going to spend too much time on that one

though we're gonna come to here and

we're gonna cut down the tree now the

reason we're cutting this tree though

is because we need the logs to meet the

planks so as soon as that tree is

dropped we're then going to look on the

logs himself and create planks again you

can stack these and take them over just

you know there's logs everywhere that I

bet funny they default in the sky and

stuff it's just as part and parcel

there's nothing to do about it

I'm sure in time we'll fix it

so we'll just cut this one that knows

where else it's not hover in the sky

chop it down you're shooting a store an

axe that you made it makes the planks

simple as that

no cut this one that is we've got enough

but just to make sure I will cut this

one as well

then it's done done now go back to here

and you'll see a wooden box

I already got to improvise rule again if

you don't have it cut your axes roughly

about 10 rags to make them fly up cut

very small rags and make it no we're

gonna craft the box so that's what we'll

do is we will make planks so like with

that before we're going to come up on

the planks reason being I wanna over

there by Michelle so if I make here is

gonna drop here let's hit that going to

here number one this one put it on our

hands like so come over here I'll just

drop it and again on a quat on craft

sorry and I'll quit one if you do a

rifle and you want to put a scoop on it

you have to have an adapter for it and

get the real military bases etc just a

quick one some people would ask me how

we were able to do that and come back

over here again quite the Travis craft

another bundle awesome here I'll craft

other funders we'll see what about time

craft again I thought it would entertain

or my hands just bear that in mind

right here senator my hands run back or

what again you're gonna quite let's say

I just want to do us all the way through

it so you can see it a lot of people

prefer to see it then actually here it's

done in because it can become quite

tricky no 5 SEC's so this last one will

make sure we can do it back up this

bundle we've got here

put it two hands run back over now

very important try and look or being the

idiot you want the box try and look at

ground as well because it'll actually

just craft the so I'm going to look here

and hopefully it should just pop in this

area so crafting I've already got my

provides rope because I've already made

it freehand but again and remember use

the rags cut them up I'm going to go to

the box I'm going to craft the box again

I'll quickly show you how to use a box

that's a back wheels

I prefer personally you could hold F and

open the menu so you can just drag stuff

from the facility into the box or your

table like the choice and that way to do

it they see there at the box as no made

no to use this box go to here all you do

is press s lock tab drop it down and you

can start putting stuff into the box

drag it into it or you can close the tab

and just drag and drop on top simple is

up

now these are good I forget if you're a

saw in PVE and you just wanna hey these

are owned them up just have little boxes

and just set your lot map up just drop

it there you can see it's all I know

so guys that is how to make a shelter

and a box quite simple basic and again

remember that the competition make sure

you enter if you've got a friends who

struggle in maybe financially to get the

game let's give an opportunity for them

to get it also again the server is open

for anyone who wants to join if I won

now say hello and I'll see you in the

next one
