Waching daily Jan 23 2019

everybody how are you this is Charlie again coming to you live from Lagos

Nigeria want to welcome you to the channel where we cover everything you

know from entrepreneurship personal development and culture so today we're

gonna be talking about hip hop and we're gonna be focusing on an artist that I

really like and his name is Nipsey Hussle before we get into the contest

want you to hit the subscribe button like the video and share with someone

that's also a fan of Nipsey Hussle so with that being said let me just tell

you when it's the hustle it's Nipsey Hussle is an American rap artist he

comes from California from Craig it comes from California Southern

California and he comes from a neighborhood called Crenshaw and Slauson

in California now I've never been there but a while back around 2012 or so I

became a fan of his music now I'll get into the backstory of you know his music

and is sort of his journey and what we can you know business lessons we can

extrapolate from his experiences but but I just want to tell you how I stumbled

you know some across his music so I just you know I always like to list I don't

listen to a lot of different artists I listen to it you know there's just a

handful of different artists and he's one of the people that I just discovered

because Nipsey Hussle content is more motivational rap he talks about business

and how you can hip lift yourself and really motivates his listeners so I kind

of resonated with that because I'm an entrepreneur so that type of content

always resonates with me so actually um he got his start in 2008 when he

released a series of mixtapes called bullets ain't got no names it was a

series any released a bunch of mixtapes and he was able to you know garner some

you know traction in the market where he lived in and people started

understanding who he was and by 2012 he released another mixtape call Crenshaw

and that's around the time when I heard about you know who he was and I just

heard you know I just saw one of his videos and I was like huh I like this

guy you know I like how he raps I like what

he's saying I like his style he didn't sound like anybody else so it he kind of

you know caught my attention and when you listen when I listen to him speaking

interviews he seems very smart you know he seems

like a very very thoughtful person so I started listening to that album

I was like man I should listen to like every day I was like wow this is some

really really good music and then he released another mixtape call mailbox

money and I was just like man I mean he got better you know you could see the

progression in his you know the way the way he you know the way he wrapped his

content is delivering all these different things and I was like man this

guy this guy is really somebody to look out for but there were many moments

before that point where he really showed that he had a knack for business for

example when he released his album the mixtape a Crenshaw he did a thing where

he did proud to pay where he was selling the album's four hundred dollars a pop

and people were like a hundred dollars for a CD but he was like wait a minute

there's the it's worth a hundred dollars and for the simple fact that he was able

to make that Proclamation and sort of stand by it and back it up people

actually went out and bought this album and it used to you know and they even

bought his merchandise and I heard at one point jay-z I think bought like

maybe a hundred copies of the album or so and for him I think he said at the

time that was major validation that you know the biggest rap star in the world

would be able to you know pick up on his music and then go out and support him so

that let him know that he was doing something right that someone like jay-z

would be I would say you know to be able to you know take notice of him but the

funniest thing about Nipsey Hussle is that he's not a very loud person he and

it's almost counterintuitive because rappers are very flamboyant but he's not

like that he always has this thing where he says he doesn't like taking pictures

with rappers just he's not one of those type of people he just sort of stays off

to his own if you know if he's with somebody he can be with that person

without having to you know do Instagram lives and all that stuff that's just as

hyper person he is and me personally I'm a dancer that you know I'm a

down-to-earth person and I don't really have a big ego and I'm not flashy so I

can relate to him on that level but back to the you know back to the business

side of it so by 2018 he actually decided to sign a major record deal with

Atlantic Records and this was going to be his first let's say feature album on

a major on a major record label this was going to be his first release so this is

when he had the full backing and production

you know of a powerhouse you know music music record label but the most

interesting thing was that early on Nipsey Hussle spoke about the concept of

betting on himself he bet on himself he turned down a lot of deals in the very

beginning because he wanted he understood the type of business

situation that he wanted to have so what he did was he held out as long as

possible he held out as long as possible yellow as long as possible and what he

was doing was he was building an audience okay he was building an

audience of loyal followers you know by the time he was you know approached to

sign a record deal with a major label he was they were approaching him as a

partner he had already had a million plus followers on Instagram he'd already

had all you know he had all his catalogue with all this music that he'd

already done independently so by the time he went to the table he was like

hey look I'm bringing something to the table here it's not like I'm just coming

to you as a brand new artist it hasn't done anything or doesn't have a proof of

concept it's not like me and my friends and my neighborhood thing on music is

good is like a look people around the country around the world think my music

is good I've been torn up and doing all these different things so that gave him

leverage to that gave him leverage to you know you know really negotiate in

the way where him and his team can benefit from it in a tangible you know

in a tangible way so I remember listening to him in some interviews and

he would say like I'm a partner you know I'm a partner of if they did the deal

that we have is a partnership and not is not I'm I'm not just a conventional

artist and to me that's really genius to look at the business model out there and

flip it on his face and say hey look I'm not gonna do it the conventional way and

he always has a statement where he says I didn't take the stairs I didn't take

this I mean I mean I took the stairs to success I didn't take the elevator I

took the long way and for him now it's paying off for him

so what's the lesson here would why what mean what are we getting from this video

I'm not just doing this because I like Nipsey Hussle as businesspeople we have

to think of a way in which we can build our audience or our customer base

because it gives us more it allows us to be able to leverage more if you have a

strong following of customers and people that are buying your product or that you

know consume your content that actually is gonna help you down the road

when maybe investors want to come on board because you can then sent at the

state of them you say hey look this and this and this and this and this and this

is all the stuff that I've done you know this is my customer segment this is what

they look like this is their purchasing habits these are their favorite songs

this is you know this is their favorite items you know and I think it's clever

that he was able to do that and in a lot of his interviews he actually explains

it he's like look I was very I was very deliberate about the way I went about

building my career we built it in a way where we were businesspeople and now you

know he was actually the first person opened up the world's first smart store

and in question on his neighborhood and I mean I can go into all of the other

business endeavors that he's done but I'm just trying to you know hammer home

a concept here to you where is that you know you want to bet on yourself you

want to build your audience you want to take all the links and all the lashes

early on because later on down the road when you have all of this you know in

this experience and you know such a huge following now you can really do things I

mean that's for example how some YouTube channels where I mean these people they

build these massive audiences to the point where now people are coming to

them and say hey I want to market our product can you talk about our product

can we do an interview with stuff like that that's what happens when you really

take time to really you know invest in yourself and I think that is the genius

thing that he did especially you know at a time when everyone is just called them

was just probably clamoring for record deals so if you listen to Nipsey Hussle

he's a very intelligent person he was actually featured on Gary B's channel

and other notable places and you know he's a he's a very smart guy as someone

that's a fan of his music you know a more so event of his business acumen and

the way he does things so if you don't know who he is just check out some of

his music and check out what he's done you may learn you could learn something

from and it's not always that you we can learn business lessons from you know the

typical business person to put a typical business person that we think of a guy

in the suit know their business people that come in all shapes and forms so you

know so check him out know what that being said I hope you enjoyed the

content if you're an effing fan you definitely have to like the

video and subscribe to the channel and share it and hopefully you know you able

to gain something bring some benefit from this video with that being said

this is Charles here

ASMR Brain Tingles! ASMR Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit! How Many Do YOU Know? | Amy McLean - Duration: 15:36.

I'm doing this so I am recording this - the first recording was not ASMR, and

after this will be a quick-fire test your knowledge so I won't be taking part

in that one because I already know the answers

see here so we have a different... I won't be rolling the dice I'll just...

You can hear my cat creating some noise; she's behind me. I'll just be

going over some questions on the cards. So we have purple ones.

Pink is magical spells and potions, orange is magical objects, yellow as

magical people and green his animals and magic creatures. I expect I'll do the

most well probably out of the three left hand categories maybe magical objects

maybe magical people I don't think I'll do very well with animals and magical

creatures because as much as I love to read Harry Potter my memory is

appalling so when it comes to things that require

complex animal names that's beyond Buckbeak! Okay, so the

questions please feel free to tell me how many of the thirty you got right. As

I said I'm doing this for the first time myself so take my score but when I do the

quicker version ,which will be before this, I won't be.

Whose body is Voldemort possessing the first time he comes face-to-face with

Harry? I assume that means not when Harry is a baby so we have Professor Quirrell.

According to legend who built the Chamber of Secrets within Hogwarts? That is Salazar' Slytherin.

When they travel back in time, what spell do harry and Hermione see Professor Lupin use to calm the Whomping Willow?

It's a memory thing, it is. I'm going to go! I can't even think of a spell. All I can think of is crucio!

It's not Avada Kedavra! I'm going to have to pass. I'll probably get

overexcited when I realize it's probably obvious answer. What selects the

champions who will participate in the Triwizard Tournament? That is the Sorting Hat...No it's not, it's the cup, the goblet of fire!

Well, in my defence it's one of my least-favourite Harry Potter ones!

or how many yes a serious bath black bean and Azkaban he has been in Azkaban

Why Your Money Isn't Safe In Your Bank Account - Duration: 6:48.

This episode is brought to you by Dashlane; Try Dashlane Premium free for 30 days at www.dashlane.com/infographics

and never forget another password and keep all your online accounts secure!

If we look at the history of banking, you could say the first banks we had were merchants

belonging to the old world who would give grain loans to farmers or traders.

Fast forward to ancient Greece and later during the Roman empire and you had money lenders

and money changers.

These people would often do their business in temples, and if you know your Christianity,

you'll know that Jesus Christ wasn't too keen on these people.

But it wasn't until the 14th century that we saw more modern types of banks, with the

Italians first, and then the Dutch and later the British leading the way regarding banking.

The oldest bank in the world is the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena in Italy, opened

in 1472- but no institution is foolproof, and your money may not always be there when

you need it.

Welcome to this episode of the Infographics Show, Why Your Money Is Not Totally Safe in

Your Bank Account.

Let's start with the website The Balance, which is usually a good source of information

when it comes to anything relating to money.

On the safety of leaving your money in the bank, one article on the website tells us

if you know about the USA's Great Depression you might well be wary about trusting banks.

It says that still today there are many people that still don't go near banks.

But why is that?

Well, if a bank goes under, and it is not insured, then yes, you could lose your money.

But it is very unlikely that your bank is not insured, or at least in some countries.

Bankrate tells us that the if Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.

(FDIC) has insured your bank and you have anything up to $250,000 in your account, you

won't lose anything.

The problem is, says Bankrate, anything over that you might not get back if the bank fails.

We are told that if you do have more money than that and are worried, you should spread

your money in other banks that are also insured by FDIC.

You might also put your funds into a Certificate of Deposit.

So, check out your bank is insured and if it is and you have bags of cash, spread the

money out.

The experts tell us that if you don't follow these two simple suggestions then indeed your

money might not be safe.

We are also told that you should keep tabs on the news.

If there are rumors your bank is being sold, then it's likely it has problems.

You can also check out Bankrate's website which gives a grading system to banks relating

to how safe they are.

Apparently, the FDIC has a list of banks it sees as perhaps not very safe, but it keeps

this list under wraps.

Saying that, if you search enough you will be able to find 'problem bank' list, though

these days the banks on that list number only about 100.

If the problem banks can't seem to get out of trouble they are often taken over by stronger

banks.

Oh, and if your bank is taken over don't think that your loan will just disappear.

It will just go over to the bank that has swallowed it.

The problem is, as happened during the Great Depression and during the last banking crisis,

when people start to worry about their bank going down, they generally head straight to

the bank to take their cash out.

This of course overwhelms the bank, and we call this a Bank Run.

Banks cannot just pay everyone their cash.

When this happened during the Great Depression the American government stepped in to try

and smooth things out.

The result of which was the creation of the FDIC.

On the FDIC website it says that it will cover most things, but some it will not.

This includes stuff in a safety deposit box, which might be stolen or damaged due to something

like a fire.

You will have to make sure the contents are insured.

If someone steals your money another way, most banks will have what's called a "banker's

blanket bond".

This should cover theft and other matters.

If someone managed to hack your account, the FDIC says you "may" be covered by the

Electronic Funds Transfer Act.

You just have to make sure you are covered.

Other countries have similar insurances.

In Australia we are told $250,000 for each account holder is insured by the government's

Financial Claims Scheme.

But again, you best check that your bank is licensed.

Still, like in America, if you had over $250,000 in your account and the bank collapsed you

could certainly lose what is left.

This is the danger and the reason banks are not safe if you have a lot of cash in one

place.

Not all countries have such good safety nets.

We were told in 2013 that people who had money in the Bank of Cyprus after a collapse lost

47.5% of their savings of anything over $132,000.

In 2018, the British press tells us that British expats in Portugal lost thousands and thousands

when Portugal's biggest bank, Banco Espirito Santo, collapsed.

Other sources also tell us that if your money is FDIC insured or insured in a similar way

in another nation you really don't need to panic.

The problem is, some people don't know anything about this and so bank some place that is

not insured.

This is when your cash is not safe.

As you know, your money is not kept in some vault somewhere but there is an electronic

and some physical records of it.

So, what happens if a bank's system just goes down?

We are told that in the unlikely event that this happens, there should be backups.

Nonetheless, some people say it's always best to keep some records yourself.

This should not be hard.

But if your money just disappears and it seems that this was due to your negligence, then

you might find yourself having to get your money back and this might not be easy.

Does this happen, money just going missing from a bank?

It seems yes.

In 2018, the Canadian press wrote a story about money in people's accounts just disappearing

into thin air.

One of the victims of missing money said this to the media, "You're trained your whole

life that you put your money in the bank and it's always going to be there for you.

I never thought in a million years that I would have a problem."

It seems in his case his stock certificates had been lost and it wasn't his fault.

For months that money was missing, but eventually the money was returned with an apology from

the bank.

Still, this is quite worrying and some research shows us this kind of thing does happen to

others.

The UK press has written stories of technical glitches leading to people not getting a wage

that was paid in, but it seems that eventually these worried people do get their money in

the end.

So, all in all, only a certain amount of your money is safe in insured banks.

This you must know, and you should of course check out if your bank is insured and how

stable it is.

People have certainly lost money in the past, and you must ask yourself if you feel your

money is better in a bank, under your mattress, or invested?

If your money isn't safe in a modern bank vault, can you imagine how unsafe your passwords

and credit card information is over the internet?

Terrifying, but there's no need to fear, because Dashlane has your back.

Tailgate Tuesday How to Play Beer Pong - Duration: 2:11.

Welcome back to Bob Hook Chevrolet and Tailgate Tuesday. Each week we're gonna

give away some cornhole boards, tailgate grills, all kinds of good stuff.

And how do I win?

It's easy you just got to share on Facebook. Just hit that little button

below the video.

All right now it's time to teach you about the daddy of all tailgate games...

...beerpong. This is for our 21 and over crowd and we're gonna show

you the proper throwing technique because a lot of people get mixed up on

this. But let's first talk about the number one rule of beer pong is elbows

behind the table. You've got an imaginary vertical line right here. Don't let that

elbow get out here, keep it right here. Now your hand can

extend once you've reached forward on your toss, but keep that elbow behind.

Now on technique I like to think of this as a cross between free throw shooting and

throwing darts. Free throws you want to get that elbow wide up towards your

target keep it high and keep it right there but all the movement is right here

just elbow up Dave everything else stays stable and then the grip of the

ping-pong I really feel like thumb and middle finger gently on both sides of

the ball is the right way to get an accurate toss out

yeah I disagree with that

if you get your whole hand involved in that, there's just

too much margin for error. So let's demonstrate straight a couple throws

here. and you'll see why this is truly the best technique.

money every time.

Dave I feel like I was pretty thorough in my instruction.

Do you have anything you could add?

I like a little bit different technique. You like

the middle finger, I prefer to go with the thumb and pointer finger and I agree

it's kind of like a basketball shot. If you're right-handed I would put your

right foot forward... okay

maybe left foot just set a little back and then release

Pretty good for your first try.

I guess I'm a natural.

Now remember one very important rule the flip cup is you

cannot touch the cup until your teammate has correctly flipped the previous cup

over onto the table.
