How to Make a Paracord Bracelet with a Buckle | Sophie's World - Duration: 9:50.

Hi I'm Sophie and welcome to my world so today we're gonna be doing a paracord

bracelet with a buckle now I already have on the website a paracord bracelet

without a buckle but recently I did an event and we actually made them with

buckles and I searched everywhere to find a tutorial that showed you how to

do it with the buckle and I could not find it and it made me crazy so I

thought you know what I need to do I need to make a video about paracord

bracelets with the buckle so I am going to show you how to do it with a buckle

for this project you will need eight feet of paracord 550 pound weight

scissors a 3/8 inch buckle paperclip measuring tape or ruler clipboard and a

lighter the thing about paracord that you should

know is that for every inch of bracelet that you want you're going to need 13

inches of cord so to make a 7 to 8 inch bracelet which is about normal for when

you have a buckle you're gonna need about 8 feet of cord now when you do 8

feet of cord let me show you how big that is that is a lot of cord that's a

lot so for this video just so you guys can see it and it's very clear and you

can understand it and it doesn't take us an hour to do I'm going to only be

making a 3 inch little buckle bracelet but as you can see you know that's a lot

of cord but once you get the hang of it you can make one of these in about 10

minutes once you get once you get the rhythm down I'm also going to be doing

this upside down from my perspective so that you guys get it for the right

perspective the first thing you would do is you would measure your wrist and you

would use the measuring tape to measure your wrist and I'll show you how you

would set this for your wrist but then I'm gonna reset it to do it for a 3 inch

bracelet just so it doesn't take us forever and you get to see it all the

way through so I got my little cheat sheet right there

let's do ours let's do ours out of blue

so for my three-inch one my three to four inch one I'm actually only going to

need four feet so I'm going to measure 24 inches and fold that in half and that

gives me my 48 inches that I need for 4 feet because 4 feet is 48 inches what

you want to do is cut those edges so that they're nice and solid and take

your buckle you want to take this at the center part where you've folded it over

so see how I've folded it over I got this little loop here pinch that loop

down with your fingers try to flatten it out because you're going to slide it

through the buckle it doesn't matter which end of the buckle you slide it

through but you're gonna slide it through the buckle and this is where if

you if you need to you can use a paper clip that I mentioned to just help push

it through pull that through and then you just need a little bit it's kind of

like a tongue see how you got a tongue there then pull these two sides and push

them through that tongue so one more time you got your tongue take your two

loose ends pull it up and through and pull it tight now here's where you

measure your bracelet so wrap it around just like you would if you were making a

bracelet and this is to make sure that you get it going in the right direction

you don't get any tangling you're going to come up from the top so we're going

to put in one

and two just make sure these don't get criss-crossed

so they come through like this this is where you would measure your bracelet

and this is what I was telling you I would show you how to do so you would

take this and get your wrist in here and tighten it up to the point where it

feels good for you and then just pop this open and that's gonna be the

perfect link now for me I'm actually gonna make this much shorter I'm gonna

go to about three inches actually three inches take your end with

the loose pieces and stick that underneath the clipboard now in your

case you're gonna be working this way okay I'm gonna work upside down so that

you guys can see what it would look like from your side you always start over

over is always going to be the way you start and you always use your right hand

side unless you're left-handed then you can do left but you're always going to

be starting your stitch from the right hand side imagine that this is your body

and these are your two arms you're going to take your first arm and put it over

the body then you take your other arm and you put it over that arm now you go

under the body and through the hole created by the other arm now you should

see a pretzel see the pretzel there pull and you want to pull that really super

tight flip this over now it says under right so you take this arm you go under

the body this arm goes under the arm you go over the body and through the elbow

basically there's pretzel and pull you're now starting to make your Cobra

stitch flip that over so that now you remember

it's over over under the body and through flip it over under under over

and through flip it over over over under and through you're always getting that

pretzel flip it over under under over and through flip it over see how that

helps you to remember which direction because that's the one thing that people

have a tendency to make mistakes on and you know if you do make a mistake it's

no big deal because you can just come back and just pull the stitch out it

comes out nice and easy these survival bracelets were actually created so now

we're going to go over these survival bracelets were actually created

so that you could take them apart and when you took them apart you would have

eight feet or more of paracord that you could use while you were you know they

call them survival bracelets so while you were out in the wilderness you could

actually use that eight feet to you know help tie up a tent or you know put up a

bear bag or whatever and it would help you survive basically okay we're at our

last stitch here so we're going under we go under over and through I'm going to

tie this off and really really tight now we get to seal it up and I know this is

a tiny little bracelet I don't even know if it has enough to go around it does

this is like for the tiniest little creature in the world to wear as a belt

okay I'm going to cut this pretty close and cut this pretty close we're going to

be using what I call click click lighter this is definitely something where

you want adult supervision I'm going to get in here so that my

cameraman can get really close in here because what we're gonna do is we're

gonna put on our torch here and we're just going to lightly touch it

to this end here and watch what happens it's going to start to melt just like

that and that's going to seal it and you're

going to do this on the other side as well if you are afraid to use the flame

which is totally fine you can also put like a little drop of hot glue you could

do a little drop of hot glue so there you can see those are little sealed and

that's all there is to making your paracord bracelet with a buckle in fact

I have to tell you I find that this is actually easier than the original way

that I taught which used two different colors because for some reason the way

that the mathematics work out for this one for the for how you measure that the

paracord just for some reason computes much easier to me then than the other

one which is a lot more of oh gosh figuring out the distances and lengths

Best Way to Youtube Sub4Sub?! - Duration: 3:06.

aub4aub may be the worst growth tactic on youtube but is there a way to

make it work stay tuned to find out I told you to

provide video should be Monday Wednesday and Friday click subscribe and hit that

Bell icon until you never miss your videos if you didn't watch my other

video I'll link it up in the cards talking about something up and all the

problems they come along with it but a quick summary the biggest problem with

something surveys no one will watch your content do even for this change only a

fraction of the people who subscribe to you actually interested in the content

you make and those people are probably subscribed to hundreds and hundreds of

other channels uploading hundreds of videos each day and they'll never even

see your content there's our box so now how can we make some for Subway you need

to aim to build friendships and long lasting relationships

tip number one never ever ever asked for people to subscribe to your channel

other people's comment sections that is your big no never do that

tip number two gather lace up about 10 to 20 channels then you're interested in

they do not have huge audiences but you still like watching we can be new

channels to challenge you already subscribe to but go ahead and subscribe

to them and then engage in their comment section every time they upload a video

you had an interesting unique comment you under like something that catches

their eye this is super duper important that means don't always write awesome

video man good video keep it up nice stuff you want to make them want to

apply to you something interesting unique you can even give them tips your

advice but you know they might help them you can also leave honest feedback and

things you liked and didn't like about the video this works as long as you're

not being offensive or rude thing or your video is horrible I didn't like it

now give honest feedback for example if their music was too loud you can simply

let them know that their voice was hard to overhear the music if you're

continuously leaving interesting comments

chances are the Creator you're commenting on will try and start a

conversation with you you got to go back and forth talking through the comment

section and you can actually make a lot of friends doing that sometimes people

even be interested in your channel and they'll click and go and subscribe to

you because they like what you're doing you didn't ask for subscribing you

didn't ask for anything you just subscribe to someone and engaged in

their videos honestly and genuinely now this part's super important once they

click and go through your channel you want to make sure they want to subscribe

to you I mean new channel laid out nicely with

playlists and videos awesome thumbnails a nice banner a cool looking profile

picture all of that stuff is super important if you want people to actually

subscribe when they land on your channel as long as you're actually doing it

because you like the content you're commenting on it lead to collaborations

friendships and more subscribers on your channel this isn't exactly sub sub but

it's definitely a good tactic to use for growing your channel making friends and

getting more collaborations on YouTube doing this a solves your problem of

people not caring about your content because they'll only subscribe to you if

they care about the videos you're making and B they're probably not subscribed to

hundreds of channels doing some for some because you didn't ask them to subscribe

to you have you used this tactic to gain subscribers before let me know in the

comments below if they feel their he's helped you and you want to continue

attacking the struggles you face on YouTube please subscribe by hitting the

circle over there and click one of the videos below to continue learning about

YouTube and the ways you can grow your channel once again thank you for

watching have an awesome day

Don't Give Him Any Attention | I Love You, America on Hulu - Duration: 7:06.

- Hi sweet buttercup faces.

Hi chocolate brownie mix from a bowl.

Who deserves love?

You do.

(audience cawing)

Okay.

That person just wants attention so don't give it to him.

(laughter)

Give it to me.

I don't want any attention.

That's so awful, why is that a thing?

He just wants attention, don't give it to him.

Those are like the saddest two sentences I've ever heard

constantly growing up.

Why are we

(laughter)

Honestly, why are we disgusted when we sense human need?

He just wants water, don't give it to him.

Ew.

Look how thirsty he is, he's like chomping his lips.

That is a thing though.

He just wants attention, don't give it to him.

You guys have heard that before, right?

You're even acknowledging what his acting out is about,

a need for attention.

The fact that you're actively choosing to withhold it

is...is mean!

He just wants attention.

Give it to him!

If not out of human empathy,

give it to him to prevent, like, Hitlers from happening.

How hard would it have been for one of Adolf's friends

to be like "that's a nice painting of a building!"

"That's a nice painting of a landscape!"

"You should stick with that!"

(applause)

Not giving attention to someone who's starved for attention

is literally how you make Hitlers.

And also some stand up comedians, but...

Honestly I would trade a few Gaffigans to stop a genocide.

(laughter)

and I know what it is, it's how they go about

asking for attention.

They shout out during a taping of a show, you know?

They act out, they pull hair, they kill six million Jews.

These are the things, too soon?

These are the things, too soon? (laughing)

(laughing)

These are the things that happen when people

do not feel heard.

- Sarah?

- Hi Dave.

I...

You remember my friend Dave from about 30 seconds ago, hi.

What...What's up?

- I have an idea to liven this up a little.

(laughing)

- Okay, I'm kind of... in the middle of talking about

Um...

well, making sure people feel heard, so, yes,

I would love to hear your idea, Dave, what is it?

- It's kind of like a game.

Um...

Pick someone in the audience and if they can fart on command

they get five hundred dollars.

(laughter)

- That's your idea?

- No.

There's more complexity to it.

If they can't make themselves fart then it's a wash

but if they push too hard and poop themselves,

they owe the show five hundred dollars.

(laughter)

And they have seven seconds to do it.

- Seven seconds?

Why seven seconds?

- Anyone can fart if you give them eight seconds.

- Right, of course, how silly of me.

Okay, thank you Dave.

I'm glad I listened to you and I want you

to know that I heard you.

I just think people came here for literally the tiniest

bit more intellectual stimulation than that.

Like.

- I'm not um, totally against,

- This is f-----g chaos.

Dave, can you give your microphone to this um.

I'm sorry, what is that?

- I came to hear your take but his idea does sound,

I would be interested in seeing that.

It's more than a silly fart game.

It's about mind over body.

Do we control our bodies or do they control us?

It's a question for the ages.

And um, I think I, as they say, have one in the chamber.

(laughing)

- That's, that's not what the game even is.

The game isn't I have to fart

so give me five hundred dollars.

The game is I don't have to fart but I can make my body

produce such for a price.

Jesus f-----g Christ, fine, we'll do this.

We'll do it with one person.

Allan, can we find a, do a contestant thing?

(farting, game show music and applause)

Okay this guy.

Um...

Allan can you put seven seconds on the clock?

Okay.

Ready, set, go.

- [Audience] Seven, six, five,

- Shut up, let him work!

(farting)

(applause)

Okay.

Okay

Alright, that was actually fun, alright.

So to wrap up, I was just saying that if

someone is acting out maybe just try

- [Audience] One more fart!

One more fart!

One more fart!

- Fine, yes, okay, one more, we'll do one more.

Allan, can you?

(game show music and applause)

Okay, seven seconds on the clock, ready, set and

(farting)

Wow.

Wow. - [Deep Voice] You s--t your pants!

- [Deep Voice] You s--t your pants!

(laughing)

- Why did she bring a checkbook!?

Why would you pack a checkbook?

Is it okay if I get back to the point I was trying to make

on my television show?

- Technically it's streaming.

- Dave, please.

I'm not being my best self, certainly.

Um...

Um... Okay I'm sorry, what was I saying?

Okay I'm sorry, what was I saying?

Listen to people who want attention.

I don't even know if I believe in this anymore.

I, you know, I mean people say if Trump had won

an Emmy for The Apprentice maybe he wouldn't have run

but Jesus Christ you're supposed to be able to lose Emmys

but Jesus Christ you're supposed to be able to lose Emmys without launching a revenge presidency.

without launching a revenge presidency.

(laughter)

You know, Jason Alexander lost eight Emmys in a row

and you don't see him trying to ban muslims.

He couldn't even parlay that brilliant performance

into another sitcom and you don't see him trying

into another sitcom and you don't see him trying to make a wall.

to make a wall.

You don't see him grabbing women by their p-----s.

And most of the time he lost to Frasier's brother.

You don't hear him saying Niles is from Kenya!

Jason Alexander is a g-----n hero so give people attention,

don't give people attention, whatever.

You're gonna do what you're gonna do, I don't give a f--k.

Just please never forget the gracious loser

of a private citizen that is Jason Alexander.

(applause)

Synthetic Winch Rope vs. Steel for use in Towing from the COO of Prairie Land Towing - Duration: 2:44.

Hi I'm Eric and this is Todd from Prairie Land Towing. I wanted to talk today

about synthetic rope versus wire rope and Todd I notice on a lot of your

trucks that you have synthetic rope now versus the wire rope. Why did you decide

to switch over to synthetic? A lot of positives about the synthetics. We

switched to synthetics based on we had some tensioner issues. You can completely

eliminate the tensioners on a carrier when you go to synthetic rope. We had

over a lot of roller issues as well. Where rollers were grooving out and we

had to constant replace those. So those rollers don't get the damage as

well. And so these are the benefits now that you've seen from synthetic rope.

Absolutely. Okay. When you made the switchover from the wire rope to

synthetic rope was that difficult? was there anything that you had to do

specially with your trucks? It was a little difficult in the beginning. We had

to make sure that our drums are clean. We had to make sure that our snatch blocks

were new. If you have any type of chafing or sharp object in your truck you got to

clean those out because the synthetic is going to break. But it took a little bit as

a huge learning curve on the driver standpoint as well. Have you gotten

feedback from your drivers with respect to synthetic versus wire rope? Absolutely.

The synthetic is much more safe I believe if you have a breakage or

failure. You're not going to have a damage or some type of injury in that situation.

At the same time it cuts with your hands you know poking through your gloves.

It floats. It's lighter. There's a ton of different benefits the drivers have come

back and said this is a great great use of our dollars. Okay, if you were to

give advice to another wrecker or another tow company about synthetic versus wire

rope what would you tell them? Hands down, absolutely go synthetic. It is

it is safer, it's by far cleaner. You don't have that little cable and chain

lube on a rope all the time that's mudding up your gloves that then

transports the truck that transports to the vehicles car then, I'm sorry the

customers vehicle. It's a much much cleaner rope. There's no memory to it

There's no tensioners. I mean that was a huge piece I think when we did

switch going back to that. Every day I would hound guys to make sure you rewrap

your cable, rewrap your cable, make sure it's clean, make sure you don't get flat spots.

What not. By going to synthetic you limited the tensioner and it can be wrapped

any which way it wants to be. You know it may not look pretty but it's never going to

have a bad spot because it flat spotted or because it got twisted up in some way

shape or form and when you go to pull that line out now

there's a lot less work comp claims because when the tensioner with a steel

rope, sometimes these guys really have to yank on because it gets stuck, especially

the winter. With a light rope you literally one hand and pulls right out

nice and easy. So you'll be continuing to use synthetic rope? Absolutely we'll

continue to use synthetic rope. Todd I really appreciate it.

With Todd at Prairie Land Towing, I'm Eric, stay safe out there.

Synthetic Winch Rope Advantages and Advice for Use in Towing from COO of Prairie Land Towing - Duration: 2:48.

Hi I'm Eric and this is Todd from Prairie Land Towing. I wanted to talk today

about synthetic rope versus wire rope. So Todd, one of the questions I wanted to ask

you with respect to wire versus synthetic rope. Is there a cost factor? Is

there are savings involved? Yes and no. There's a savings in the fact that I

would say there's less damage on a synthetic rope. When a rope touches

a bumper it's not going to scratch. When a cable or a wire rope touches a bumper

you have the potential scratching something. When it comes to the actual

the purchase of the rope now there's a big difference. Synthetic is going to cost a

lot more than than a wire rope you can buy a pallet at a time. Okay, and then if

something should happen to a synthetic rope, you have a driver out in the field

and the rope breaks, what's involved as far as getting that that driver back

and working and the truck back and working and doing business for you?

That's the great part about synthetic is literally any Boy Scout can tie any knot

and just pull it tight and you can continue on with your job. The next

morning that truck will come in and the tech will will then cut it and fix it

and actually splice it back together. So we'll buy 80 foot rope and we'll cut

those down to a 50 foot. Once we hit under 50 feet then we'll throw them in a

tool box as a log chain and it's a lot lighter a lot cleaner log chain down the

road versus having all this extra weight in your truck as well. So very, very easy

to fix and anybody can just tie it quick knot, continue their job and it'll still

work the rest of the day. Looking at synthetic rope versus wire rope do you

feel it synthetic is safer? I do. I believe the synthetic is a safer tool to

use in our toolbox. We want to make sure that people don't get cuts and slits in

their hands when they're using it. At the same time if there's a catastrophic

failure that rope is going to drop clean to the ground, it's not gonna have a recoil

situation where something...it's not going to have a recoil situation where a chain or

a snatch block or something's going to come back and explode back in someone's

face. At the same time if something does move and you're in the wrong place at the

wrong time, the rope is going to be much more forgiving. Okay.

So if someone were just getting started the business they're gonna be brand new

to the towing business, what would you recommend as far as wire versus

synthetic. I would recommend synthetic 110% but start with synthetic. Start new

make sure that the drum of the truck everything is new to begin with. If you

don't have a new situation make sure it's clean, go over it nice and nice and

neatly. Keep the rope itself, there's a four or five foot sleeve that

comes with every rope. That should be on the drum. If that's protecting, that's

really not protecting the drum or the or the bumper, it's protecting the rope from

the drum. So make sure that's wrapped on the very first layer. Awesome. Todd, I

really appreciate it. With Todd at Prairie Land Towing, I'm Eric.

Stay safe out there.

What's Going To Happen At My Meeting With The Bankruptcy Trustee? - Duration: 2:30.

I know I'm going to file bankruptcy and I know I have at least one public appearance

to meet with the trustee and my creditors.

What's going to happen at that point?

My name is Ron Drescher.

I am an attorney practicing bankruptcy and creditor's rights in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania

and Virginia.

And your meeting of creditors, while it can be a very stressful experience doesn't have

to be.

Typically you're testifying under oath about the accuracy of the schedules, and other bankruptcy

papers you have filed, and about your income and your expenses, and your assets and your

debts.

The whole process in a typical Chapter 7 case takes about 10 or 15 minutes.

It is in public.

There will be people in the gallery.

You shouldn't pay attention to them, and make sure you have your photo ID and your original

Social Security card with you at that meeting, because if you don't, the trustee won't have.

In a typical Chapter 13 case you doing all the stuff that you did in the Chapter 7 meeting

of creditors, or meeting with the trustee, but they're also going to talk to you about

your plan and about whether or not you can satisfy the obligations that you are promising

to make under your Chapter 13 plan.

Typically in a Chapter 13 case the trustee is gonna talk about amendments to your plan

or amendments to your schedules, or maybe the trustee will want more documents.

You shouldn't be upset if that happens in your Chapter 13 case.

Now, they call it the meeting of creditors.

I call it the meeting with the trustee because, although creditors are given notice of the

date time and place of the meeting they almost never show up unless they're usually somebody

who you know.

So that is not typically an experience you're going to have at your meeting with the trustee.

My name is Ron Drescher.

I am an attorney practicing bankruptcy and creditor's rights and if you are concerned

about what's going to happen at your meeting with the trustee, please pick up the phone

and call me.

I would love to hear from you.

Composition of a Volcano: You Keep Shooting with Bryan Peterson - Duration: 3:55.

Look when it comes to landscape

photography there is a rule that

I really, really, really want to stress

follow it almost religiously.

You can have the occasional religious doubt

be my guest but for the most part believe.

Believe in the rule of thirds.

Okay it's particularly when it comes to the

landscape. One of the most common

problems people have when it comes to

landscape is where they're putting their

horizon line and let me just give an

example I'm here in Hood River Oregon

it's a beautiful summer day on the

roadside ditches along the way. We've got

some purple veg and there sits mountain

Hood in the background. Now let's set

this up. I'm shooting f/22 why because

it's a storytelling image. Everything I

want to be sharp I'm at about 35mm

on the focal length and

here's classic, classic,

bullseye and split horizon line.

We got half sky,

half flowers and of course the mountain right

smack-dab in the middle.

For the most

part this is pretty common execution by

a lot of amateur photographers.

So how do we improve it?

You might be thinking to yourself,

I wouldn't touch a thing.

Well I'm going to

make a suggestion that you do.

Consider in the first part

coming down low okay

we're going to put more emphasis on

those flowers, we're going to move just to

touch, a bit I'm going to bring these

flowers out over here just a little bit

higher, over there which I can do.

I am after all in charge of my composition

and with the mountain off-centered a bit.

Take a look at the new composition.

We've moved that horizon line near the top

third and the reason is, is because

interest is greatest in my estimation in

the lower two-thirds that being the veg

the purple flowers and that one's there

regardless and the sky is nice too but

let's really emphasize the foreground, so

we give it more time and attention in

the overall frame, but before we move on

I want to stress one more thing and that

is this, with so many compositions that

you'll come across

you must pay attention to the fine print

as I refer to this in my book

Bryan Peterson's

Field Guide to Understanding Composition

and that fine print means

simply this, you see the big huge ads in

the newspaper or on the internet as the

case might be and it said 80% off

and you think wow I'm heading down the store

now and you didn't read the fine print

you get down there you find out it's 80%

off on one specific item or on one

specific size or it's 80% off in the

year 2019 yeah something like that

there's always a fine print and you end

up being disappointed, well you have fine

print in a lot of your pictures believe

it or not, and we have one here.

I'm not sure if any of you noticed it

but it's what we call a subtle contrast shift

it's a very small thing

but let me point it out

to you. Take a look,

it's right here, right

there okay?

That's got to go so I'm going

to remove it and now that it's gone

let's take a look one more time another

photo and action okay.

Take a look at that,

look at the two images side-by-side.

The one with the fine print and the one

without the fine print.

I think you'll agree your eye no longer

goes to the fine print,

again it's the small things

that will come back and haunt you when

it's all said and done. You're

excited to get the big picture

and you didn't look at the small little details

before pressing that shutter so just

something to keep in mind and until next

time this is Bryan Peterson reminding

all of you to read the fine print and

you keep shooting.
