is left out in the open, completely unprotected from the elements?

Just ask Top10Archive writer Sophie what it's like to go to snack on your banana only to

She says it's terrible!

The worst thing that's ever happened to her.

No, there's no need to ask her, we promise that's what she said!

Anyway, the point is, no longer do you need to worry about carrying around your naked

6 Things You Must Have In Your Life - Duration: 7:13.

Improvement Pill here, welcome to Lesson #11 of the Tamed Course.

In our previous lessons - We learned about how habits and willpower work but today we're

going to talk about something that strikes at the root of our problem.

We're going to talk about 6 things that you must have in your life.

You might be able to build a couple of good habits, you might be able to increase your

willpower – but without these 6 fundamental human needs you will not be able to overcome

your addiction for good.

And this is a concept that was first introduced by Tony Robbins.

So let's jump right into it:

The first fundamental human need is a sense of Certainty.

Human beings need to have some idea of what to expect in the future.

For example: going to work for 40 hours a week and knowing that you'll make say 500$

every week.

If we do not have certainty in our lives, that creates a tremendous amount of stress.

Imagine showing up to work everyday and not knowing what your paycheck is going to look

like at the end of the week.

How confident will you be about pay the bills or putting food on the table?

When we have a lack of certainty in our lives we tend to reach for things that do give us

certainty.

For example: If I smoke a couple of cigarettes, or drink a couple of beers I know that I will

feel good.

That is for certain.

A good way to combat this by setting up habits with consistent rewards.

For example: If I meditate everyday in the morning, I know that I will feel better for

the rest of the day.

But above all certainty is most needed in terms of job and home security.

Forget about trying to build good new habits forget about overcoming your addictions - Without

having a steady stream of income, without knowing that you'll have a roof over your

head, without knowing that you'll have food to eat everyday it is near impossible to overcome

your addictions for good.

The second fundamental human need is variety.

Now I know I know, doesn't this contradict what we just talked about?

Well when I say variety – I'm talking about the sense that our lives aren't boring.

If you're working a 9-5 every single day, with the same exact routine where you come

back home and watch the same tv shows and eat the same food, then you're going to have

an extremely hard time overcoming your addictions.

Because your addiction offer a sort of excitement.

When you're drunk or high the whole world feels different, it adds some variety into

your life.

In order for us to combat this, we need to make sure that we have an exciting life.

This means having exciting hobbies that really interest us.

This means going on exciting trips every once in a while.

This means trying out new things, new foods, new ideas, and even meeting new people.

If we can bring more excitement into our lives we'll reach for the excitement that our addiction

provides far less often.

The third fundamental human need is significance.

We need to feel important, like we matter.

And this is often done in a variety of different ways.

Some people do this by building up a business and making millions, others do so by getting

really good at their craft, and some people even do this by creating unnecessary drama

in their lives.

Without a source of significance we'll just reach for our addiction of choice.

There's a reason why people like doing drugs like cocaine, because it makes you feel like

the most important person in the room.

In order to combat this we can cultivate our own version of significance.

And this differs from person to person but a general rule of thumb is, if there's something

you daydream about.

Then chances are that dream of yours will provide you with a sense of significance.

The 4th fundamental human need is Love and Connection.

We human beings are social creatures.

It's even been found that if you do not socialize with anyone for a long period of time your

brain will actually get smaller.

We need to form intimate bonds with people.

We need to care about others and also feel like others care about us.

And this is one of the most common fundamental human needs that is not being properly fulfilled.

So many people nowadays spend too much time behind their screens to the point where they

no longer know how to go out there and actually connect with people.

If you don't bond with others in real life, then you'll find yourself reaching for bad

habits that can fulfill this need.

That's why so many people nowadays are addicted to things like social media or even pornography.

So many young men nowadays watch pornography because it tricks your brain into thinking

that you are being loved by dozens of women unconditionally.

In order to combat this we need to work on our social skills.

We need to be able to hold deep and meaningful conversations with the people in real life.

skills which I will link to in the description below.

The 5th fundamental human need is growth.

We human beings need to see progress or improvement in our lives.

We need to see that if we're working on something every single day that we're getting better

or getting better results.

This is why so many people with good paying jobs still end up quitting after a while because

they see no room for improvement.

They see very little to no increases in pay, they see no opportunity to climb within the

company and because of this they feel a strong urge to leave.

Now you don't need necessarily need to see progress at work, a lot of people fulfill

their need for progress by reaching for their goals.

Someone who starts hitting the gym on a regular will see clear progress in the amount of weight

he can lift as well as in his body.

If you do not have some sort of positive growth in your life then you're going to look for

it elsewhere.

Many people find progress in their addictions.

Although they build more and more tolerance to their substance of choice and their addictions

get worse and worse, they stay around because that fulfills their need for progress.

It just so happens that this progress isn't good for us.

In order to combat this we need to make sure that we're making positive progress somewhere

in our lives.

This is why focusing on self-improvement, watching videos like this, and applying the

lessons to our lives is so powerful.

Because building good new habits and working on ourselves can fulfill this need.

The 6th and final fundamental human need is contribution.

Studies have actually found that a large majority of the happiest people in the world are the

ones who give backWhen you provide happiness for others that makes you happy as well.

It shows you that you're capable of giving value to others, and this ties back with the

fundamental need to feel significant.

Now this need can be fulfilled in a couple of ways.

You can give back to the community.

Do some community service, help out your friends and family whenever they're in need, and you

can also do this by working on yourself so that you can bring more to the table.

If you work on your social skills and become a happier person you can make others around

you happier as well.

And that's it these are the 6 fundamental human needs that we need to fulfill.

If you are lacking in any of these areas you will find it near impossible to overcome your

addiction.

And this is because your addiction is fulfilling the need for you.

But I will sum up our strategy one last time to make sure that you're on the right path.

In order for us to overcome our addictions we need to fulfill the 6 fundamental human

needs.

We do this by using our knowledge of willpower and habits to building a single keystone habit.

This keystone habit will make us stronger and allow us to build other good habits down

the line.

So continue to focus on building your keystone habits.

Get it to the line of automaticity which again can take up to 9 months and start fulfilling

your 6 fundamental human needs.

As each of the 6 are being naturally fulfilled you should find it easier and easier to stay

away from your addiction of choice.

And eventually it will no longer be a major problem in your life.

Is salt REALLY as unhealthy as you've been led to believe? - Duration: 10:31.

And I have some awesome things I want

to go over about salt today.

So if you're curious about salt and what's good for you

and what's bad for you, you got to listen up.

Now, you're going to see a link up here.

I'm going to have something for you at the end of this video.

But first I want to talk about salt.

What salt is the best salt?

Now today, I have 2 different salts

here that I just wanted to show you and compare.

This is a sea salt and this is a Himalayan salt.

I know, it matches my shirt.

Did I do that on purpose?

Probably.

So the Himalayan salt is awesome for you.

Sea salt is awesome for you.

But what about table salt?

So minerals are absolutely vital in our diet.

They have to be in our diet, otherwise,

our body is not working at optimal level and pace.

Correct?

Our bodies can't produce all the minerals

that we need in function to be able to function properly.

So, how do we get those minerals into our body?

We have to eat them.

And so by eating minerals, like salt--

the correct salt-- it actually gives you a ton of benefits.

So let me give you some of those benefits now.

Salt regulates water content in the body and brain and blood

pressure.

Obviously, too much can cause higher blood pressure,

so we have to monitor that.

In particular, sodium chloride and potassium chloride

is a benefit that our body needs.

It also promotes healthy blood sugar levels.

So if you're not getting enough salt in your diet,

it's important to make sure that you're

incorporating these minerals because it

regulates blood sugar levels.

Also, various salts are important for bone

strengthening including calcium.

So if you want strong bones, you've

got to make sure you're getting your salt content.

It's also necessary for muscle contraction, in particular,

calcium.

That's how the muscles contract.

It's very important that you get that.

Promotes nutrient absorption in the intestine.

Many salt ions are cofactors that activate enzymes.

These include magnesium, manganese, iron, cobalt,

nickel, copper, and zinc.

All essential minerals that we need for proper body function.

Salts promote transport of substrates,

like sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium,

which is important for the function

of the cells in the body.

Important-- the minerals in our diet

are essential for a variety of bodily functions.

So, if you don't have any of this kind of salt--

that today that's why I wanted to bring this up to you.

This is important that you incorporate

some of these salts in your diet and not just

table salt, which I'm going to talk about here in a second.

Table salt-- man, I can't shake my head

enough about table salt. Trust me,

when I tell you what we have going on the table salt

these days, you're not going to want to ever consume that ever

again.

1 of the best ways to obtain these vital minerals

into your diet is to eat the salt. Now,

you've got to eat the correct salt,

and that's why I'm introducing you to these salts today.

Now, refined salt, you can find in the grocery store.

It's pretty common.

It's all over inside grocery stores.

Morton's one of the biggest sellers of this type of salt.

Salt in its natural form is referred to as unrefined salt.

So unrefined salt is a Himalayan salt,

which is coming from a rock.

And also, sea salt, which comes from what?

The sea.

Correct.

All right.

So unrefined salt has not been altered by humans,

so remember that.

Unrefined salt-- not been altered by humans.

This kind of salt contains many different minerals and elements

that are essential for our bodies.

For example, unrefined salt, such as Himalayan salt,

which I'm going to go ahead and show you some of this.

So I'm going to pour some of this in here so you can see.

It's such a beautiful salt. Now I'm

going to pour a little bit in my hand here, so you can see.

See how coarse it is, and see how the color is like a pink.

It's like a pink.

It's Himalayan salt. It's beautiful.

It tastes amazing, and it has a ton of essential minerals

that you need and I need for our diet.

So now, Himalayan salt is over 250 million years old

that has been exposed to high tectonic pressure surrounded

by ice and snow high in the mountains.

That's what Himalayan salt is, i.e.

why the name Himalayan.

When observed under a microscope,

this salt has a perfect crystalline structure,

which you can see.

Again, 1 more time.

Let me just show you here.

All right.

I hope you can see that.

Yeah, see that.

It's an amazing structure.

This salt is incredible for you.

It is believed to be the highest grade salt available.

Now, sea salt is also unrefined, and it's also amazing too.

But Himalayan salt-- that's why I want to bring this up--

you should be consuming 1 of the 2

of these kind of salts and not table salt.

And we're going to go over that in a second.

This salt has an unlimited shelf life,

and doesn't require any pouring agents.

That's why it's better than table salt.

Now, this is contrasted with refined salt. Now,

refined salt, remember what I said,

that's been touched by humans from the color to the shape

to the texture.

It contains 97.5% sodium.

This is refined salt with the rest being added chemicals that

are inside your salts, all of which,

you do not want in your food.

That's why you have to consume some good salts instead

of those salts, otherwise, it actually

can kill us faster than an amazing Himalayan salt.

Now, why is salt refined anyway?

Why do we even do that to such an amazing salt?

Why would we even waste our time?

Now sea salt, let me show you this by the way.

Let me put some of this in here.

Again, this is coarse and you can see it's also coarse,

and it also has a texture.

This is sea salt. Sea salt is also another amazing salt.

But, why do we refine salt anyways?

1 reason, for shelf life, just like pasteurized foods and that

stay on certain shelf lives forever.

And you also have foods that sit out there,

and they're processed.

And they sit there forever.

It's the same thing when it goes for salt. Salt, when it's

refined is done for shelf life.

Refined salt having all of its minerals removed.

It's purified.

It ensures a long shelf life.

In fact, refined salt in the grocery store

will stay on the shelf forever to maximize profits.

That's the only reason why salt is refined.

Manufacturers believe that all white salt product will

look cleaner to the consumer, which is us,

and, therefore, increases their sales,

which gives them more money.

Now, I don't know about you, I don't

want to give them more money so I can die faster.

So refined salt, it's bleached.

And that's why it's white.

It's bleached, in order to obtain that color.

Iodine is added to refine the salt

to prevent the swelling of the thyroid.

But there is insufficient iodine in refined salt

to prevent thyroid illnesses or to provide

for the body's iodine needs.

So now, if you have a choice, what are you going to choose?

I don't even have refined salt here

because I don't carry that in this household.

My wife and I are against it totally.

And I hope you are too because we

don't want you spending money on something

that's not good for you.

Sea salt is great.

So if you have a choice, it's simple.

After what I just said, it's simple to me.

You have Himalayan salt and sea salt. Himalayan being they say,

the best salt on the planet, in the world.

And then, sea salt, also another great salt that

provides up to 80 minerals--

up to 80 minerals.

Refined salt-- pretty much 0.

So cut clear.

Very cut clear here.

Himalayan salt. Sea salt. You know

which 1 that you should get.

The Essentials of an Emergency Fund - Duration: 6:00.

Hey, there.

Jeremy with Strength In Numbers.

An emergency fund is a great idea.

But how do I get it, how much should it be,

and where do I keep it?

We're going to talk about that and more today.

(upbeat music)

So the emergency fund.

What is it exactly?

Well, it's simply money that you set aside

for life's unexpected circumstances.

It's going to rain, so you need to have a rainy day fund.

You may be hearing that and thinking, well, Jeremy,

be positive, that's not a very positive outlook on life.

Well, I am positive.

It's going to rain, you need to have an emergency fund.

You need to have a rainy day fund.

You need to be prepared for those unexpected things of life.

Statistically, we see that every seven to 10 years,

you're going to have a major financial event,

so you need to be prepared.

'Cause we don't know what that's going to be.

So what's the emergency fund for?

Well, it could be for the airfare to get

across the country for the loved one that just passed away.

To be there with the family, support them.

It could be unexpected illness that is more expensive

than you ever could have planned for,

and you need to be able to cover those medical expenses.

And many other things that I can't really come up with

right now, because that's the whole point.

It's an emergency, we don't know what it's going to be.

So think, really, what is an actual emergency?

And this is a great thing for singles to talk

with your accountability partner or coach,

and couples to talk about together.

Make sure you're on the same page about

what an emergency is or is not, and it will remove the drama

from that situation when it comes.

So how much should I have in an emergency fund?

Well, if you're first starting out with this process,

and you're still in debt,

I recommend you have $1,000 set aside

in your emergency fund.

Why $1,000?

Well, the simple reason is because statistically,

90% of the stuff that's going to happen to you

is going to cost $1,000 or less,

and you'll be able to manage most of life

while you're working on getting out of debt.

If you are out of debt, except your primary mortgage,

then take that $1,000 to a whole new level

and increase that account to the total of

three to six months of emergency fund savings.

If you're a realtor, you probably should have

more than six months set aside,

because, man, that market is volatile.

If you are a commission-based sales representative,

you probably should have more towards the six month.

If you're a nine-to-fiver with a pretty stable income,

three months is probably going to work for you.

And that's where a coach like me can help you

really pinpoint that in as to what amount that should be,

and how many months that should be for you.

So where are we going to keep this money?

Well, don't bury it in the backyard.

But if you need to keep it in a sock drawer

or cookie jar, that's okay.

But I recommend you keep it in an actual bank account.

What kind of bank account?

Well, simply what we call an MMA account.

No, that has nothing to do with Mixed Martial Arts.

That's a Money Market Account, okay,

which is simply a glorified savings account.

It's like a savings account with a couple

check-writing privileges with some limits.

So you can write a few checks out of it if you need to.

You may even have a dedicated debit card.

And yeah, it'll earn a little bit,

but the whole point of this is not for you to make money,

this is self-insurance against life.

Because wealthy people self-insure,

and this is the first step.

So keep it in a Money Market Account

if you're going to use a savings account.

And also, if you're going to keep it in an account,

make sure it's a complete separate account

from your checking, like we were just saying

with the savings.

You do not want to mix funds, because if it's

in the checking account, where's it going to go?

Poof.

It's going to go into midair and just disappear.

We want to protect this money

so that you can protect your financial future.

So how do I get this emergency fund?

Well, it's time to get hustling, my friend.

But I want to give you five tips that you can use right now

to help you think of different ways to find the money

to get this emergency fund in place.

So the first one is, adjust your tax withholdings.

If you've been getting a large tax refund every year,

that is not good use of finances.

That's a 0% interest loan to the government.

Uncle Sam is not so good at handling money,

if you didn't notice.

So adjust your tax withholdings,

sit down with a consultation with a CPA.

If you're not using one, I highly recommend you do.

And adjust your withholdings so you're not

getting a large refund.

And use that money to put aside for your emergency fund.

The second idea is, maybe you should consider

taking a temporary, temporary pause on your retirement.

What could you do if just for a couple years

you got laser focused and got some financial

stability in place because you had cash in the bank

for emergencies for those things that kept coming up

and holding you back from making financial progress?

If those were totally out of the way,

what could you do?

What could you save for retirement then?

Thirdly, adjust your insurances.

If you haven't gotten requoted on your auto, home,

and other P and C, property and casualty insurances

in a while, you should.

You should do it at least once a year.

Because rates change all the time,

and it could be hundreds of dollars a year,

or even sometimes a month,

of savings right there waiting for you

just because you need to get requoted.

Find a good quality insurance broker.

Get quoted with them.

It's going to take you like five minutes.

You just send them your declarations page,

and they're going to do the work.

So find an independent broker that doesn't work for

one particular insurance company.

They're going to help super serve you.

Fourthly, extra check, bonuses,

things that come along the way,

these are great turbo boosts

towards accomplishing this goal.

And then lastly, number five, maybe as an American,

you've got some stuff you can sell.

I would bet that you probably do.

Sell some things.

Maybe it's even time to trade in that car

that's depreciating way too fast,

and free yourself of that car payment,

and get something that's much more manageable.

So those are five ideas you can use right now

to find the money to save for the emergency fund.

And you're going to find when you get this emergency fund

in place, it's going to turn a crisis into an inconvenience.

All you have to do is install custom firmware on your console then run BootNTR and you are ready to go.

This is my New 3DS XL.

And it is running custom firmware on SysNAND.

Now we need to install BootNTR. We will use FBI to install it. Make sure your console is connected to the internet.

Choose TitleDB. And then search for BootNTR Selector

Then install it

Now press any button and press B to return to the main menu then choose Remote Install

Choose Receive URLs over the network

This is your console's IP address and port number. Make a note of this.

Press B twice then press Start to exit FBI

Now run BootNTR Selector

Open the web browser and go to this URL

You can read what Snickerstream is from this page

Click the releases tab and download the latest version of Snickerstream

You can choose between 32bit or 64bit version.
