Waching daily Dec 26 2018

Everything is achievable through technology.

Better living, robust health

and for the first time in human history, the possibility of world peace.

I'm Howard Stark,

and everything you'll need for the future can be found right here.

City of the Future? City of Tomorrow? City of...

I'm Howard Stark,

and everything you'll need in the future can be found right here.

So, from all of us at Stark Industries,

I would like to personally...

Tony, what are you doing back there? What is that?

Put that back. Put it back where you got it from.

Where's your mother? Maria?

Go on. Go, go, go, go.

All right, I think we got...

I'll... I'll... I'll come in and...

Are you waiting on me?

So, from all of us at Stark Industries, I'd like to personally show you

my ass.

I'd like to... I can't... This is...

I can't... We have this, don't we?

This is a ridiculous way...

Everything

is achievable

through technology.

Tony?

You're too young to understand this right now,

so I thought I would put it on film for you.

I built this for you.

And someday you'll realize that it represents a whole lot more

than just people's inventions. It represents my life's work.

This is the key to the future.

I'm limited by the technology of my time, but one day you'll figure this out.

And when you do,

you will change the world.

What is and always will be my greatest creation

is you.

Different Types of Meditation - The Power of Consciousness! - Duration: 26:30.

Different types of meditation - The power of consciousness

hi guys welcome to becoming a better you by skeed now I'm saying that more

slowly because I've had a couple of people not quite understanding that I'm

skied today we are going to talk about in detail meditation so if you're

interested keep watching

I had a request from a guy called Ricky like great guy

check him out on YouTube I love his energy that he does on his YouTube

videos it's a breath of real I think in the name of his channel and he asked me

to do a video on the types of meditation now I'm going to answer that question

the types of meditation but this I'm also putting in because this is part of

the series of the consciousness series from meditation to magic and Beyond and

it's very important there are exercises that to start controlling the mind this

we need to do to start to meditate but why why the heck should we start

meditating in the first place what's the point let's base this that we have three

parts of the mind we have the conscious mind the subconscious mind and then deep

down the unconscious mind now the unconscious mind we could say is the

part that controls not the subconscious mind the unconscious mind controls the

functions of our heart etc etc etc says deep deep deep deep deep down can we get

to a stage where we can connect to that well of course we can because there are

Yogi's and Buddhist monks that can control their body temperature there are

the people that can do it to remove so you can get there but to be able to get

there you have to start controlling other things but what is the point of

meditation is it to assembly chill out relax get rid of our stresses you know

the New Age guys say or the self-help gurus say no that's not the point

that is the first tiny step the whole point of meditation it is the easiest

way to learn to master our own minds because to learn to master your own mind

first of all we shut off the unconscious minds hurry to get to the subconscious

mind then when we get really really deep which takes a lot of practice

and we've controlled and dominated the subconscious mind we can start going

into the unconscious mind when we talk about meditation it's not just about

quietening the mind it's literally about the brainwaves our brains admit so

normally we are in a talking state right now I will be in a better brainwave and

then when we close our eyes when we calm down we go to an alpha state which is

the relaxed state the parasympathetic nervous system the relaxed state not

sort of like the fight-or-flight which is more of the better and then we go

down into the fetters and the deltas as we sort of go into sleep mode relaxing

falling asleep and then into sleep and dream states most research says that

deep meditation creates the fetter and the delta waves and that's where the

magic happens however there's also reach at research I mention this before that I

think the research guys are from Harvard University is one of those universities

they've also noticed that above the better brainwave we have the gammas and

the people who meditate a lot have more gamma brainwave states in their waking

state and also during their meditative States and the gamma is the ultra fast

super control of everything it controls all the others it makes you be able to

because it's faster so like the higher vibrations you can control more so you

can react better to situations you have the event it's not about slowing your

mind down and being Carmer and so when something comes along we act more slowly

it's not that it's the gamma that our brains react faster so we can control

ourselves better in those situations we have literally more time to think cause

our brains going fast and then obviously you know if you go to martial arts the

the super martial artists that can react super fast and drive super fast

obviously that isn't coming from any Delta wave that asked

be coming from a gamma wave the sort of hi inspiration the high consciousness

thoughts that happen to you know the great inventors and things those

thoughts come that connecting this comes it doesn't come from the symbology of

the dreams that it comes from the high gamma states when we're learning to or

when we've learned to meditate we can control these states now if you want to

learn these states then you can literally use binaural beats or

isochronic tones to literally plug yourself in and get to feel what they

feel like now I wouldn't recommend meditating with them all the time just

to learn how to do it and then you've got to get your brain for yourself

control to those states meditation is not just for relaxation it is for

mastering mental control now there are other exercises in the course to also

deal with mental control from I'm going to do some more videos on other

exercises that we can do just in case you find the first ones a little bit

difficult and they're also slightly different than different things will

happen so you know we've all seen the matrix that veil of the matrix that code

you want to learn to see that yes that is real I'm not talking computer code

but there is a veil there that you can learn to see some people see energy and

we're going to go into that in other videos but anyway the meditation to

meditate we have to have the level of concentration concentration isn't

focused attention it is as in the other video go check out the video find the

video what is concentration you have to be able to concentrate then to go into

true meditation it's sensory withdrawal so we're not distracted by that little

itch on our leg the sounds around us the things we can see this most we literally

were withdrawing from all our senses so it's a bit like waves astral projection

with astral projection to be able to astral project you have to go SuperDuper

deep within sensory withdrawal deep into your mind to then to be able to come out

whilst you are still getting those itchy legs all those twitches or you can still

here things around you not gonna last your

project so this all comes into the same thing so deep meditation is about going

deep within consciousness learning to controller each step of the way to then

to be able to do things like astral projection to be able to control your

consciousness because if you control consciousness then we can start to

control other things and is that with magic magic is through one way or

another sending out or bringing in power and sending out your consciousness to be

able to manipulate certain aspects so the basic thing of that I always refer

to like Reiki healing you're literally passing energy between your hands so

it's doing the same sort of thing but on a much bigger scale so the types of

meditation right we have they've got different names but you've got obviously

the contemplation which is one thought of for example if you want to see the

veil that isn't meditation that's contemplation because you're

concentrating on something so contemplation can also be called focused

meditation or active meditation where you're focusing on one thing be it a

candle being an image being a sound and then you have passive meditation where

you're open to everything yet within this we have trance States we have

hypnotic States and we have the more passive meditation States you know the

states of hypnosis in the states of meditation are very very very similar

it's almost just like different ways to get to the same place and then trance

again is very similar but you will find that

the brainwaves that are activated will be slightly different it won't go in the

same pattern so trance you can entrace yourself with a candle with a flame with

a mantra with a sound that the beating of drums with dancing around in circles

the Sufism go around in circles there are many ways to do trance and for

example if you look at Transcendental Meditation they use mantras but if you

look at the name of transcendental trans trance meditation reciting a mantra or

mantra over and over and over - in trance yourself to get into a state

different vibrations of sounds are obviously going to stimulate slightly

different brain waves so if you go for a long sentence versus a simple um or

whole or it they will do slightly different brainwave activations if you

want to talk about it from a scientific point of view at the end of the day it's

on a physical realm it's manipulating those brain waves on a consciousness

level it's controlling first this at first the conscious mind then the

subconscious mind when we control the subconscious mind and quieten the

subconscious mind it's a little bit like people who have out-of-body experiences

learning from near-death experiences a lot of those people after a near-death

experience who have the out-of-body experiences they are sort of born again

renewed refreshed totally different outlook on life so meditation when you

go SuperDuper deep it's sort of like a mini reboot and so when you get to the

level of controlling your sub conscience and you can start getting to

the unconscious within sort of rebooting and retraining our our brains so we can

retrain our consciousness to get to what the Yogi's talk about so different ways

of meditation as I said you have the trance contemplation the straight

meditation which is the typical the yogic way carving the mind training one

thought etc the first stages the folk those first exercises within the course

but then of course as I said you've got the trance so you can recite mantras

mantras you can do tribal drumming the the shaming drumming you can even go as

I said to the isochronic tones just understand the levels so which is better

it's not a matter of in this world it's all a competition it's all better and

all worse it's not they're just different ways to get to similar places

for example if you talk to Transcendental Meditation errs they

swear by it I tried it I like it it's good but at the same time I have also

spoken to people who have been doing Transcendental Meditation for maybe 20

years and when you ask them how far have you actually got for example with the

cities with the superpowers it comes to a um not very far have you had any not

really I'm not saying that all of them but you know you can feel much more in

sort of enlightened see everything more globally the synchronicities yes you can

get there but to get to those cities why for example does Patanjali teach that it

is the city but yet I just said sitting I also mentioned the spinning practice

to get into a trance but also for example Taichi now if you learn

tai chi chi-gong bagua movements well enough you can go into moving

meditations obviously you have to master the movements perfectly so you can do

them without thinking and then that will with the movement of the Chi flowing

through you create a very nice whole body meditation

there's also walking meditation walking meditation literally means going for a

walk clearing your mind and just being whilst

you're walking now of course whilst you're walking

you're never going to get as deep as in a sitting meditation because very simply

you're not going to be walking in a Delta star state because even a

sleepwalker isn't in the Delta State they have their brain has to go to

higher states to be able to walk to be able to move can you go into the Delta

states with for example moving meditation the chi gong here I would

have to refer that to other people I'm not sure because I haven't seen any

research on it yet I would bet just from what I know they can probably get to

very good levels of theta brainwave state but not a delta and they'll also

be able to go to gamma states as well trance will get together stay great well

- I haven't sort of said specifically types of meditation sit down sit in

front of a candle look at a candle where you all know that or you know choose a

man that I which ever one and then recite okay we reside to him resides and

resides until we can hear it without having to say it but we get the

vibrations and this this has to do it say with any type

of sound of meditation this comes to the three bodies because you have the

physical body the spiritual body in the solar body and you have this with sound

as well so when you start or you start obviously the physical vibration and you

keep going with that until that vibration breaks from the physical and

it starts to go into the spiritual or the astral vibration and then from the

astral vibration if you keep going it'll be very subtle it'd be very quiet

- much more subtle vibration you can go to the soul vibration of the sound and

obviously sound effects brain waves an example of this the everyone would have

felt if you've ever been out dancing you go or listening in your car to music if

you put on let's say some house music or some rave music that's very very fast it

lightens you up that's why they put it on in a lot of gyms and your heartbeat

literally starts to connect to that speed now so the sound goes into the

brain the brain starts speeding up the heartbeat and so you feel more alive and

more energy on the other hand for study this is why people who want to study you

listen to like to listen to music in the background and they say classical music

helps you study as you become more intelligent it's not true you can listen

to certain types of classical music but it doesn't have to be classical for the

body to get into a parasympathetic nervous system the Alpha State the

learning state your body has to be at rest the body at rest generally is

around 60 beats a minute therefore you want to listen to music that is 60 beats

and it if you like to listen to music to

meditate then if you have music that is a 60 beats a minute you're only gonna

get into an alpha state if you want to listen to music to go very very deep you

want to use a very very slow beat unless you're doing the trance so if it's a

fast drumming African tribal or whatever place in the world you know the the drum

beat it's gonna be quite you know you can get a slow deep rhythm of the drum

which will be more like the Buddhist style but then you can go there very

fast with that you're going into trance to go to the gamma States therefore you

want a faster drum beat as you can see this is a huge huge huge topic and I've

only very basically touched on each but in all of them the thing that remains

the same concentration sensory withdrawal now for example if you're

spinning obviously you're not going to withdraw so much from the feeling

because obviously you're gonna keep your feet feeling the floor but you are going

to withdraw from for example sight from sound so you are going to withdraw from

some senses to get into that trance State I hope this has cleared up some

things it's not a one-two-three video but I hope it's shown you or start to

explain the importance of meditation that is not just for relaxation that it

is to learn mental control along with other exercises through contemplation

and imagination of contemplation like imagining closing your eyes and imagine

in an apple but literally seeing an apple with your two eyes we're not to a

third eye here literally talking about your powerful enough meditate

concentration to see an apple we your eyes closed to help you focus your

mind through visual imagery rather than sound

by reciting and um is that going into a trance State perhaps but yet perhaps

you're just using it to help you quiet in the mind and then you shut it off

when your mind is quiet and you just go into a peaceful meditation so it's not

quite as straightforward if you use a mantra then it's trance States if you're

using a very highly repetitive in high speed mantra then it's going to be more

of a trance transcendental trance State you're creating if it's a very slow or

more halt then it's going to be more of a calming the mind to go down so recap

it's all about learning to control at the very basic physical level those

brainwave states whichever way you go with whichever style you choose which

one should you choose more try all of them pick the one you like best

I enjoy walking meditations I enjoy slow um

mantra meditation I enjoy sometimes especially if you're doing it in groups

the slightly more complex mantras I like just pure simple focusing the mind

because that is the most control you're going to show because all the others

you're using something external to help you focus your mind so you're almost

it's almost as though you're tricking your mind to get to the state rather

than purposefully actively controllable passively controlling it which is going

to be the most powerful thing at the end of the day contemplation or active

meditation a lot of people shun it saying it serves no purpose you need

passive open meditation to be able to see everything okay

fine but when we're talking about consciousness you need to be able to

control to break down from the conscious thoughts to the subconscious thoughts to

slow the sub conscious mind down to nothing and so some people they talk

about being connected and getting downloads of information some people

says the angel some people just say it's their higher self it doesn't matter but

it's to be able to get that sort of information it does appear to be coming

from outside you this stuff comes in its the synchronicities it's the intuition

it's all the same thing there but to be able to get that your subconscious mind

has to quieten because whilst it's they're still gonna be there but it's

very hard to differentiate which is which so when you've controlled

conscious mind the subconscious mind slowed it down then you can start for

example thinking the contemplation of one thought and following that one

thought through to the end and observing the language you use for that thought

trail or if it's not language if it's a visual contemplation it's seeing how

positive that contemplation is so if you're still going through your train of

thought or the visualization and they're sort of negative things in controlling

words that shows you the level of your subconscious mind and your program it so

when you can follow that thought all the way through to the end all positive all

calm no stress is coming in nothing bombarding it from other angles

that is showing a deep control of the subconscious mind so Rick I hope this

answers your question if you wanted more literally the well there's this one

there's this one let me know other people if you want that too let me know

otherwise I hope this answers your question it is so important meditation

should be taught in schools everyone should learn it just like everyone needs

to do yoga every wall stretching everyone needs to be building their

muscles exercise everyone needs to be eating the right diet for themselves

it's all very important stuff from as simple as getting away from the stress

of the fight-or-flight in the sympathetic nervous system down to the

parasympathetic nervous system to absorb more information to be able to learn

better to be able to relax down to full mental control and self mastery ok

that's it for this video hope you liked the video click that thumbs up button

Confidence Hacks: How to Apply Risk/Reward Ratio to Decision Making - Duration: 3:31.

Hi everybody, I'm John graden author of the imposter syndrome

I'd like to talk to you about one of the strategies that has been key to my success

Simply it's this

fire ready aim and that runs in direct contrast to what many

academic business scholars might tell you about the importance of

Creating business plans and marketing plans and planning every for every contingency and you know what the reality is

Successful people doesn't mean you don't plan

It's not important to plan planning is good

But pull the trigger get on with it develop a sense of urgency and for a lot of people that's scary

Let me help you understand what I mean

In our society a Western society a capitalist society

Rewards are in direct proportion to risk it's called risk reward ratio. It's nothing to do, you know the probably from stock trading or business?

But it's the same in life. The answer is always no until you ask

people that

end up in what I call comfort zones people that take low-paying low-skilled jobs and

Stay in those jobs

Year in year out they may have 20 years in a position as a waitress

I was working as a hotel, but that's not 20 years of evolution and growth that's repeating the same year

20 times and what happens there is that they are making the choice of

Staying in the comfort zone even though it's uncomfortable, but the known devil is better than the unknown devil

Do these people so rather than risk?

Striking out to improve their lot in life

they elect to stay in the pain that they are currently in the opposite to that is you and I we

Like to make sure that every year is a year of progression. We like to set goals and go after them aggressively

So a big part of this for me has been fire ready aim when I sink my teeth in a new project

I fire I pulled the trigger

I spend a little time thinking about it and then I get on with it when I wrote the imposter syndrome

The idea came to me at 2:30 in the morning

I was actually laying in bed running through titles

And I came up with this idea for the I think the secret self confidence was the original idea and I stood up immediately

I banged out 21 chapter ideas and the next morning. I started writing the book within 30 days. It was complete now

Of course, I didn't release the book which has 30 days in preparation

I've been sent it out to editors and peers to look it over to give me some feedback and tweak it until it was the

Book that's getting the acclaim that it currently is. However

How many people that we know of?

How many of you I've got this great idea for books sitting back in your mind?

You've been thinking about it forever, but you've never pulled the trigger

Too many of us get caught up in

Analysis paralysis. We take every seminar necessary. We take every seminar there is rather

We buy every book we listen every audio cassette and I'm the same way. I'm gonna sit at our junkie. I'm a knowledge

Junkie, but here's the three times rule

whatever money you spend on a

Seminar a learning program whatever it is over the course of the next 30 days you want to invest three times as much in applying?

What you've learned so if it cost me a thousand dollars

I have to figure out how much time it takes me to earn a thousand dollars

Then I multiply that times three in terms of the time required how many hours and then I spend three times as much

Attacking what?

I just learned again fire ready aim key elements of success a key component of success is

Fire ready aim get on with it develop a sense of urgency to everything

You do most people procrastinate they put things off

They say they're gonna do something and then they don't follow through make sure that is not you get on with it

I'm John graden. I hope that helps Thanks

Should You Take Multivitamins During A Detox Cleanse | "Ask the Doc" with Dr. Daniel Nuzum - Duration: 4:17.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Welcome, everyone.

In today's episode of Ask the Doc, we're going to talk about

taking a multivitamin while you're detoxing.

Should you do it or shouldn't you do it?

Stay tuned for the answer.

Welcome, everyone.

Jonathan Hunsaker here with Organixx, and I'm joined by my good friend, master formulator,

and phenomenal doctor, Dr. Daniel Nuzum.

Thanks for joining us today.

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Glad to be here.

Oh, man.

Jonathan Hunsaker: I love this series that we're doing with you.

The feedback we're getting from home is amazing.

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Great.

Jonathan Hunsaker: So, today's question comes from Brock, and he says,

"Should I take a multivitamin or other supplement while doing a detox?"

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Typically, yes.

While you're cleansing and purging, it's good to replenish.

Remember that you need those vitamins and minerals to keep the processes going.

You need the machinery to operate properly, right?

You want the metabolism operating properly so you can detox efficiently.

So yes, you would want to use— replace the nutrients while you're detoxing.

That is important, yes.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Now, we've done several other videos on it, but for those that are

only watching this video of ours, will you talk for 30 seconds about the quality of the

multivitamin and how that matters as well?

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Absolutely, absolutely.

I mean you can get synthetic vitamins that are made from things like petroleum byproducts

and cold tar, those types of things that are real cheap.

They cost—they literally take waste and extract, synthesize nutrients out of them,

and they're not things that your body can—

Jonathan Hunsaker: They're just that, they're waste?

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: They're waste, exactly, exactly.

Or you have something that's a whole-food, organic, sprouted, fermented with

delivery system and prebiotic, probiotic matrixes and things, all put together as a—one full ticket.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Absolutely.

Yeah, thank you for that clarity.

It absolutely makes a difference in the quality, not just of the multivitamin, but all supplements.

I mean you really get what you pay for.

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Right.

Jonathan Hunsaker: And that's a key takeaway.

Let's talk about—because this question, even though I asked it differently, was specifically

about our, Organixx's Detoxx 1 and 2, and taking a multivitamin with that.

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Correct.

Well, when I put Detoxx 1 and 2 together, when we designed that, we actually designed

it to work in conjunction with Multi-Vita-Maxx and the OrganiGreens.

So, while you were detoxing, you would be fortifying the system with all these nutrients,

so you get the garbage out and put the nutrients in, take the waste out, put the good stuff in.

that was how we originally designed this.

So yes, by all means, the Multi-Vita-Maxx, the OrganiGreens with Detoxx 1 and 2,

they work very, very well together.

They're actually designed to play well together.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Absolutely, perfect.

Thank you so much for taking the time.

Listen, the big takeaway here is if you are detoxing, yes, you need to replenish your body with nutrients.

And whatever multivitamin you choose, just choose a higher quality one, not the low-end

synthetics that are just going to end up in the toilet, they're not going to do anything for you.

And as always, feel free to check out our Detoxx 1 and 2 and our multivitamin.

Everything that Doc has formulated for us, we've taken into account all of our supplements

to make sure that if you're taking this, does it work better with that?

Now obviously, I don't expect you to take every supplement that we create,

but they all are designed to work together and play off of each other.

And our Detoxx 1 and 2 work really well with our Multi-Vita-Maxx, our Liquid Multi-Vita-Maxx,

and our organic OrganiGreens.

So, thank you for watching.

Doc, thanks as always for taking the time with us today.

If you like what you're seeing, if you wan to see more of these Doc talks,

make sure you subscribe to the channel, give us a big thumbs up, let us know we're doing a good job,

and we'll see you on the next video.

'You don't live here. I've never seen you before':White man berate black tenant in his own N.Y City

An African-American man says he was racially profiled by a neighbor who lives in the same New York City apartment building - the latest in a series of incidents in which white people have hassled black people for going about routine activities.

Chika Okafor, 29, who is black, posted video on social media Thursday showing him and his friend, who is also black, being confronted in his Upper West Side apartment building by a white neighbor.

The two men were said to be waiting for a Lyft ride when they were accosted by a man, who is white, who claimed to be a resident in the building.

The unidentified man appeared to be in his 50s. He was wearing a blue baseball cap and had graying hair and a white mustache.

Okafor, who works for the sports news site Bleacher Report, wrote on his Facebook page: 'I was racially profiled in my apartment complex last night.

'While I was with my friend Cassius Flemming waiting for a Lyft ride on the first floor of the building that I have lived in since mid-December of last year, this man interrogated me about where I live.

'As you can see, he thought that he was entitled to know who I was and where I lived simply because, according to him, he lived there for 27 years.

'The arrogance is appalling but honestly, not surprising because far too many times people of color have been victims of this kind of behavior.

The incident brings to mind other instances this past year in which whites have complained to police against blacks for doing routine activities.

In April, Jennifer Shulte was widely ridiculed on social media as 'Barbecue Becky' when she called the police on a black family and their usage of a charcoal grill in an Oakland park.

Allison Ettel would get her own nickname after calling the San Francisco police on an eight-year-old black girl who was selling bottled water.

Hillary Thorton - also known as Apartment Patty - physically blocked 24-year-old D'Arreion Toles from entering his own St. Louis apartment on October 12. The clip shows the older gentleman talking in an animated fashion to the two younger men.

'Why don't you speak to me like a normal guy?' one of the black men tells the white man. 'What are you doing in my building? You don't live here,' the white man responds.

'He lives right upstairs,' Flemming tells the white man. 'You don't live here. I've never seen you before. I've lived here 27 years,' he responds.

'Why are you doing this?' Flemming asks. To which the white man replies: 'You're smooth. You're the smooth king.'. 'We live here,' they insist. 'What apartment do you live in? Let's talk about that,' the suspecting man replies.

'It's none of your business,' they tell him. 'I do it to white people, too,' the man shoots back.

Then one of the black men says: 'We heard you at the door. We heard you say, "Who the F are these guys?". 'Do you own this building?' they ask him.

'Yes, I do,' he says. Then one of the black men asks: 'Where's your MAGA hat?'.

The clip went viral on Facebook, generating nearly 200 shares as of late Tuesday. It has been viewed more than 1.4 million times. Okafor says he has lived in the building since last year.

The apartment building is a four-story walk-up on First Avenue near 74th Street, according to The New York Times. 'I felt insulted,' Okafor said.

To me, his behavior suggested that, one, because we were people of color we were a threat to their safety, and, two, because we are people of color we can't afford to live in that type of apartment complex.

'It's the Upper East Side. It's considered to be one of the wealthy parts of Manhattan. 'It's a nice apartment. Hours after the encounter with Okafor and Flemming, the same man was filmed in another argument with a white couple.

Janah Reynolds, who is visiting New York for the holidays with her husband and two sons, was renting a first-floor apartment in the building through Airbnb.

After arriving from Hong Kong, Reynolds and her husband dropped their bags at the apartment on Wednesday and went out while her mother-in-law watched the children. When she and her husband returned, the same man refused to let them in.

He told them it was illegal for them to rent an apartment for just a few nights.

New York is one of a number of large cities in the U.S. that have cracked down on Airbnb rentals, though it is not clear if this particular rent was illegal.

In the video, which Reynolds posted as a response to Okafor's post, the couple is seen arguing with the same man.

They said they called police multiple times while waiting for more than an hour outside before the man finally allowed them inside. Neither Reynolds or Okafor knew the man's name. Okafor said he had never seen him before the encounter.

Okafor filed a complaint with the building manager, who declined to get involved. Instead, Okafor was told to file a complaint with police, though he said he did not plan on doing so.

Okafor is, however, seeking an apology from the man, whom he believes should be evicted. 'I'm not going to change how I live my life based on this guy's inappropriate behavior,' Okafor said.

Email Marketing - What Is It & Why You Need It - Duration: 3:58.

If I asked you to give me $1 and I told you I could give you $44,

wouldn't you take me up on it? Hi,

I'm Bryan Caplan, and I'm here today to talk to you about

the power of email marketing. What is email marketing?

Well, in its simplest form,

email marketing is when you send out a custom branded,

professional looking email message that looks like a webpage in the inbox.

Now, why would we want to use email

marketing? Email marketing can drive sales and also

awareness of your business. Also,

email marketing is going to help you drive repeat sales.

Now, think about it.

You could invest a lot of money into a direct mail campaign like postcards or

letters or even send out magnets, but you don't know who's putting those

magnets on the fridge or who's actually opening up your mail.

Instead, email marketing is time effective and

cost efficient and it's ultimately going to tell you who opened,

who is looking at your information, and who's engaging with your messages.

When we're talking about email, it's very important to keep in mind that

you want to make your email message mobile responsive.

Now, what does that mean?

It means that you can actually open your message on a cell phone or a mobile

phone on a tablet and on your desktop and it renders perfectly for the person.

Part of the reason why is because

...51 percent or more of all emails are opened

on a smart device like a mobile phone. Moreover,

91 percent of people check their email on a daily basis.

An 88 percent of them are checking on a smartphone at some time or another.

Email marketing is also extremely effective and that gets your message

across to your subscribers. So what does that mean?

If I'm sending an email, then I actually have a 90 plus percent

deliverability chance deliverability is when I press send and it's the

likelihood of my email getting into the subscriber's inbox.

Conversely, if we look at facebook posts,

only about two percent of those posts are actually being seen on the newsfeed.

So the proof's in the pudding. You're actually getting your message

through all the noise and write to your subscriber,

telling them to take a measurable and physical action or response.

Email has three times the conversion rate,

social media, and it all has to do with that signal to

noise ratio. Someone has opted in to receive my email

in their sacred email inbox. Now I know that when I send the email,

they can expect it and they know that when they received the email,

it's something that they've signed up for.

They've opted in for it, they want to read and engage with,

and for that reason we're getting more conversions even more so.

As I mentioned at the beginning of this video,

for every $1 that you invest in email marketing,

the average return is $44 and twenty five cents according to the direct

marketing association.

Those types of numbers are unseen and unheard of with other social marketing

channels and digital marketing channels. Now,

finally, for those of you nonbelievers who are

sitting there saying, well,

I just sent out through Gmail, comcast,

and I BCC'd 50 people. It doesn't work.

Basically when you're sending from one tiny minuscule email address to a whole

bunch of email addresses, you can get filtered for spam.

You also can't brand your email, so yeah,

you can change the font size or add a color to it to kind of highlight it,

but you're not able to actually add your branding.

So I can't see the logo. I don't have appropriate colors that go

with that logo. And ultimately as a reader of your

email, I don't know that it's coming from your

brand. Moreover,

I can't track, so if you're sending something to me

from G-mail, then the whole point of sending that

email to me is that you want to be able to see what I.

When I open it, how often I open it,

and what I click on. If you can't see those things,

you're not measuring and if you're not measuring,

you're not marketing. So hopefully the takeaway here is email

marketing is a powerful tool, cost effective and can help you grow

your business.
