Waching daily Dec 28 2018

Welcome back everybody Mark with Exotic Car Play Place today coming back at you

in front of one of the dealers here in Edmonton and I just want to have a quick

look at some of the electric cars so here you've noticed behind me we've got

some cars we've got a couple of the i3s which are pretty much straight electric

with a range extender and they have an i8 in the shop as well and I want to

talk about some of the details on both of those cars but I also today want to

share with you some of the issues that these cars have been having to date

generally speaking talking to some owners checking it out checking the

forums and talking to owners of some of these cars and some of the preliminary

issues although these cars are new to the market relatively since about 2013

or 2014 there are some issues that do pop up from time to time and I want to

share that with you guys I three and the i8 issues today let's go

Wow what a beautiful thing so there's the i8 and there's the i3s of course

we've got two of them parked out here and so some of the issues that we've

seen let's get started with what these actually are so so both of these cars

these basically are in the i3 which happens to be pretty much the third

best-selling of pure electric car on the market today it's been created since

about 2013 until present is when these basically have been coming into service

2013 till now and what these really are is a more or less a pure electric car

and there's an optional range assist so you can get a small engine basically

from a scooter that they drop into these things that give you an additional range

but pure electric alone pretty much these things are pushing about 170

horsepower at about a hundred and eighty-four

foot-pounds of torque with the range extender of course you can get an

additional 320 kilometers out of that which is literally that it's just an

extender stop meant to be part of the normal function of the vehicle and of

course as you can see they have four doors and four seats typically in these

cars and the rear doors you look here

you've actually got the back doors but these are suicide doors so that the back

doors actually flip open reverse so again the hinges are at the back instead

of at the front on the back doors and of course you get the back seats capable

for four commuting in comfort now this vehicle can be 0 to 60 in under 8

seconds now I know that doesn't sound phenomenally fast by today's standards

at 8 seconds up 100 kilometers an hour but it was just yesterday when I had a

Mazda rx-7 well a bunch of years ago I had an rx-7 mine was in 1988 and I was

excited because that car was so quick to me at the time it did 0 to 60 around

eight eight and a half seconds and this car will do the same thing and I always

thought the rx-7 was quite sporty so these here are not really hurting for

performance eight seconds to 100 kilometers an hour not a bad

acceleration rate for sure by any means and if you look around of course they

have a lot of the nice features we've got LED LED headlights they're pretty

attractive color schemes with a lot of these cars of course if you look you

have the cute little signals on the side signal lights typical BMW handles of

course and attractive wheel package however that's a discussion here we'll

get to in a moment idrive a very all overly attractive vehicle for what it is

nice tucked away lighting this is actually quite quite an interesting

design theme I've got this nice little overhang almost like what you'd get on

most of all so there SUV and a lot of interesting very

interesting styling elements the interior is also one of the other great

parts of this I mean you've got really nice seating in here the dash layouts

pretty attractive as well the car actually has a lot of great elements to

it both design and functionality wise very very attractive little cars here

for sure no doubt and of course the blue theme here but that's just for color

clothes lots of different color themes available for these cars now that brings

us to the next discussion so with these cars do you know what kind of issues

you're having number one first you know these doors super lightweight

everything's made to be lightweight these doors are a combination of plastic

and hemp fibers so you can actually see it on the door panel there dot there is

plastic and hemp fibers right there that is intended to shed a ton of weight so

they're doing a lot of things here not just for the drivetrain which is pure

electric with range extender as I mentioned before but they're shaving

weight in a lot of places but that is where one of the issues is these wheels

very soft sidewalls those things are more like an RV or a trailer tire

they're very flimsy very lightweight but all for the point of reducing rolling

resistance and shedding weight so BMW did a lot of things to shed weight but

the problem was those had created some problems along the way some of which

were easy flats and of course this has no run flats because those are just a

really really lightweight tire and there's also no spare so that was one

complaint people were having no spares you get a flat tire because and they

were going flat very easily and that was a big issue with a lot of people I mean

look at the look at the width of that tire

pretty flimsy I might say and then another issue that people were

complaining was the range now this is meant to be a mass city vehicle so the

intent of these to be used for is city driving commuting within city limits

typically but you know how it is in North America you know I'm in Canada

everything's spread out quite far and people that wind up buying these often

try to push their luck and unfortunately the concept is great but if you're

trying to take this out on the highway or the freeways you often find yourself

limited and there's been cases where people they're out there they run off

the electric is going goes quickly because you're climbing some big Hills

it eats the batteries very quickly drops you down into the assist mode trying to

get you going but as soon as you do that you lose your battery power often these

things will drop down to about 40 miles per hour and you can't even keep up with

freeway traffic that in itself was creating hazards something that BMW is

still working out in the wash but it has been a bit of an issue for these cars so

if you don't mind just knowing that these are more or less you to be

utilized as a city vehicle that's fine but don't try to make it a once and done

vehicle that you're gonna take this across the highway and travel long

distances across the country with it it's not really the vehicle for that

this is a shorter term commuter vehicle and so that brings us to the other

vehicle the i8 which is different it's not strictly electrical this is actually

a plug-in hybrid vehicle it has a different way of managing its power

output

so these were created from about 2014 and on and this has a combination of

both a 228 horsepower 3 cylinder turbo engine and it's combined with a 120

horsepower hybrid synchronous motor as well coupled to that so this thing is

rated on pretty much just the gas only so assuming your batteries are toast

we'll get you 29 miles per gallon with the turbo 3 cylinder or a combined

electric gas combination fuel economy equivalent to about 91 miles per gallon

II and did you know this will also do 120 kilometres an hour on electric only

or it will actually do a limited 250 kilometres an hour when you're doing a

combined electric gas operation now unfortunately there have been a few

issues with these in terms of you know customer satisfaction things like

coolant leaks its overheating issues or coolant related problems window

regulators there's also been issues on the regen system or in some of the

wiring associated with some of the regeneration power but generally as a

rule aside from some of the basic electrical issues window regulators and

some of the coolant problems most customers seem to be quite happy with

the overall with the overall performance and the nice thing is this car generally

answers a lot of questions for a lot of people you've got fuel economy but

you've got your performance you've got some interesting doors wonderful

interior exotic stance and it's just a magnificent beautiful car overall so it

does really answer needs for a lot of different owners so overall it's been

very very reliable and I would expect good things from the i8 so far so good

as well as the i3 so generally I would say so far so good

BMW is almost leading the way in terms of technology with this they're not the

first on the block but they're selling a lot of the i3 s as a pure electric

possibly with the range extender as an option a lot of people are liking those

vehicles they're providing a lot of reliable transportation other than if

you the little things that I spoke of and the I ate answers all the questions

for that exotic appeal it gives you that exclusiveness that most other BMWs don't

match I mean it's it puts it out there even above and beyond the m5s and that

it just has that look and that exotic feel to it in in itself has been quite

reliable like I said some coolant issues window regulators little one-off issues

some owners complaining about accelerated tire wear I would say a lot

of that has to do with because the tires are generally skinnier than you're going

to find on a lot of vehicles and of course if you're driving the car hard

it's gonna eat those tires pretty quickly so that's about the only other

thing that was really noted and talking to people there's not a lot of bad

problems with these cars so these electric or hybrid vehicles by BMW have

been actually very very reliable so everybody I hope you enjoyed the video

make sure you give me a thumbs up like and of course share with your friends

I'd like you guys to pass this on overall I think the i3 and the i8 are

spectacular cars they're great they answer a lot of solutions for fuel

economy and that's BMWs look into the future what the future holds for the

automotive industry after all with fossil fuels and the challenges

associated with building pipelines and the the increased need for alternative

fuels this is a great option and BMW is on board with it and they're trying a

lot of things I three I eight and so far the reliability of these vehicles looks

to be very very good so everybody I hope you enjoyed the video make sure you give

it a thumbs up like and don't forget to subscribe to the channel I'd love to see

you guys on the next one see you soon talk to that bye bye

you

Do You Need A Bracelet Mandrel For Jewelry Making? - Duration: 9:47.

If you make jewelry you may have wondered if you really could use a

bracelet mandrel and if so what kind wood or metal, tapered or stepped? In

today's video I'm going to go over the pros and cons of all those options. Hey

there creative people, Sandy here, welcome to another Friday findings video at

keepsakecrafts.net. The nice folks at Beebeecraft sent along these two

bracelet mandrels for me to show you and tell you all about - these happen to be

both wood mandrels and as you can see they are a rather different in style -

this one is tapered with a smooth side and this one is stepped, so these from

lip to lip have parallel sides whereas this is tapered all along its entire

length and they have both have pros and cons. I will say I wasn't real

impressed with this one from Beebeecraft, it came with a chip and then there was

like a sticker on there I don't know, it looks like it has been removed I'm sure

a little Goo Gone will take care of that -they both have a light satin finish on them.

Now these are both round as you can see they do make oval mandrels which

may fit better and help your bracelets from keep your bracelets from flipping

around but if you're selling people usually expect bracelets to be round

unless it's a cuff bracelet. So the benefits of having a wooden mandrel over

a steel one is that steel ones are heavy and if you spend a lot of time working

on them you may get fatigued - you'll probably need some way of holding it - the

wooden ones are of course less heavy but you can't hammer on them nearly as

aggressively as you can on the steel ones these ones you could put something

like one of my copper bangles on and then hammer on that lightly maybe to get

it back into shape because it seems to be quite not round at the moment just

from me wearing it so you could form bracelets and you can do light hammering

on the wood - it will get dented and dinged I can actually can just I'm using

this right now to just kind of reshape this bracelet back to more of the

round shape - you could definitely hammer on it like I

said lightly you can't wale away on it like you can

on a metal mandrel and really create some serious texture or do a major amount of

shaping - so that's something to keep in mind is the kind of work you're doing.

Now when working on a tapered mandrel if you're doing something with any width to

it probably anything wider than this you'll want to keep flipping your piece

around because otherwise you're going to build a taper into it - that's the benefit

of a stepped mandrel that you don't have to do that however you can see right

here the limitations of a stepped mandrel is that you only have certain

sizes - you only have these specific sizes to work with and you can't get the

increments - one thing I did with this stepped mandrel as soon as I got it I

got out a tape measure and a sharpie and I wrote them dimensions that I have on

here. Now as far as bracelet making these are pretty good dimensions for all the

different sizes, down from a men's a fairly large bracelet down to a

child's and if you're forming something on this one because these sides are

parallel and not tapered you don't have to worry about your piece not being

parallel. So what kinds of things can you do with either of these? Well, you can use

them for sizing. I'll talk more about that in a minute, you can use them for

designing just to see you know how is something going to look in the round, you

can use it to make wire work frames in sizes, if you need a circle that's a

certain size you can use this or this depending on what you need. And by the

way if you have these measurements here and you want a circle that's a certain

diameter - say you're making a wire frame for something - all you have to do to

figure that out is divide this number by

3.14 so let's say this six-and-a-half divided by Pi.

So this one is gonna give you just a slightly more than two inch diameter

circle and you could even do that if you do more wire forming than bracelet

making you could write those numbers on here as well and then you'll always have

them. Now you can use these to form metal but you can form other things, you could

use these for polymer clay or metal clay - what you'd want to do is make a sleeve

of paper that would go over your form over your mandrel to protect it from the

clay and the clay from it and then you can shape things on the piece of paper

on the mandrel. Now these don't have a tang on the end which is a block of wood

you can see it here in the picture that you use for holding your mandrel in a

bench vice or another holder - now if you hold it in a bench vise that can be

problematic because it only stays in one direction and if you're working on a

bracelet you're probably gonna want to turn it around and work around and

around so they do make some pretty cool holders for those. So the benefits of

each: well for the tapered you can make bangles around so you can slide

something down like I was doing and get it back in to round and you have finer

increments of size, if there's a size you work with all the time you can use a

sharpie and draw a line around at that point so that you always have it as a

reference - the benefits of the stepped are that they're good for planning like a

multi strand bracelet so that you know that each is the same length - another

thing you can use this for is as a photo prop, it actually looks really nice you

just throw a few bracelets on there and it's a great way of displaying bracelets

or even necklaces or other things without having your hand in there and

your wrist and having... it's kind of awkward to take a photo of your own

wrist - photos taken this way give more of a feel of that this is something that

would be worn on a wrist. I wouldn't buy one of these just for that but it's

certainly a good use. Now these mandrels were both $11.89 at

Beebeecraft and if you buy stainless-steel ones although of course

they're going to last longer be more durable you can do more hammering and

work on them, you can solder on them which I wouldn't recommend on these, the

stainless steel mandrels can be $30-$40 dollars and up depending on the size and

the brand and they also come in tapered and stepped also this tapered one gives

you a little bit more of a range from end to end - the taper is at the very

smallest up here four and five eighths in diameter and that the widest down

here is nine inches in diameter so if that's important that's something to

keep in mind, and of course it again it depends on the brand that you purchase.

One of my favorite things though about using a mandrel like this is getting

sizes right and I'll show you what I mean.

Sizing can be tricky with bracelets because you can have two bracelets and

if they are different thicknesses they need to be different lengths - these two

bracelets, this little gold charm bracelet and this one, I did a video

showing how to make this I'll link that, fit me exactly the same - however

this one is about an inch and a half longer and that's because it really

isn't the length that matters in sizing a bracelet, it is the inside diameter -

because if you think about it you're making it to fit around a round or oval

shape and so what matters is what is in here and if you have something very

thick, if you have very thick beads or a thick cord then you need more length in

order to get the inside diameter that you need. So I'll show you what I mean,

like I said these bracelets both fit me exactly the same and I'll show you

that. So here I'm gonna pop this one on the mandrel. I was given this bracelet

by my husband many years ago and he and my boys for a while there were regularly

adding charms to it, then the price of gold kind of went bonkers

I don't know maybe a little over a decade ago, nobody has gotten mama any gold

charms for a while, it's too rich! So there's that one, now you might be amazed

to see that this fits exactly the same and it's not just that that bracelet is

stopping it it is stopping in the same place - so that can be really helpful to

you if you need to make a bracelet that's the exact, an exact size for a

customer or a gift to have this to test on and practice on. Now that I have them

I suspect I'll be using them a lot. It's not a huge investment for the wooden

ones - good to try out and see if you like it enough and if you do enough metal

forming to maybe purchase metal ones in the future. If you're interested in the

things I mentioned in this video I'll have a link to my blog post in the

description box and also in the upper right of the video where there will be product

links and link to the videos that I mentioned in this video. So happy creating!

How to crate train your puppy (or dog) - Duration: 1:10.

One of the most common misconceptions with crate training is that

someone's dog will be instantly comfortable inside their crate

and for some dogs that might be true.

For a lot of dogs they need a lot more time and they need a lot of smaller steps

to build up for that comfort in their crate.

The best way to start getting your dog used to the crate

is simply by feeding them in their crate and leaving the door open.

Once your dog is comfortable in the crate, use lots of yummy treats

to make the crate a really great, fun, happy, positive place for your dog.

Then begin shutting the door just for small amounts of time and always stay in view.

What you don't want to do is shut the crate and walk away

before your dog is ready for that.

That can make the crate a really scary place for your dog

and can make them less likely to go back into their crate again in the future.

If your dog is whining or barking, don't open the crate door.

Wait until your dog has calmed down and then let them out.

What your dog learns then is they get to come out of the crate when they're calm and quiet

and not when they're whining or barking.

Joni's Corner: I Love You Lord - Duration: 1:42.

I'm Joni Eareckson Tada asking

What is the measure of love?

Good question for today, Christmas Eve, considering how much love God gave, when He gave His son.

But let's get personal. How do you know if you are more loving than you were this time last year?

Well, you can measure it this way: You can ask yourself "To what extent do I give with a happy spirit?

You know, giving without keeping tabs.

Loving joyfully gives without taking any notice of how much has been sacrificed.

This is the way God loves. I mean look it's Christmas. God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten son.

And that's the measure of love of God. He gave us Jesus.

And you can't find a greater love than that.

That's why it should be a delight to trust Him when you think of how much He sacrificed!

And so here's a good word on Christmas Eve to remind you and it's from

2 Thessalonians Chapter 2:

"May the Lord Jesus Christ... who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal encouragement

and good hope, may He encourage your heart today, this day, Christmas week and may He give you strengthen..."

That's the love of God.... it is honestly without measure.

Standing with your feet together

let's take another deep breath and now reaching both arms all the way up towards the sky and

Then exhale slowly

Release your hands to your heart

And then from here

Let's go ahead and take the arms behind your back

Interlace the fingers as you extend the elbows allow the chest and the heart to open all the way up towards the sky

Just taking a moment here

Really letting go of any tension along the frontal area of your body

Releasing any tension out of the shoulders and

Then slowly bending the knees as you come forward into your standing forward fold

We're gonna keep the knees bent here to make sure we're not straining the hamstrings too fast

With your fingers interlaced allow the hands to fall as close to the ground as possible really allowing the shoulders to release here

Deep breath in exhale

Out

And then begin to walk it out on the spot bending one unit, I'm extending the other leg

Getting deeper into the hamstrings now while at the same time still allowing the shoulders to release

By letting those arms fall forward towards the front of your mat good

Walk it out

just side to side with the knees and

Then slowly from here extending both knees and going a little bit deeper into that standing forward fold

You can go ahead and release the arms all the way down. I

Just take a deep breath in

And as you exhale slowly rolling yourself up to standing wonderful job

Let's begin with our Surya Namaskar be reaching the arms up to the sky and exhale hands to heart

Inhale, let's go ahead and come into chair pose as you reach the arms up to the sky

exhale

Release the hands down forward fold inhale halfway, exhale hop or step back into chaturanga

inhale upward facing dog and exhale

downward facing dog

Let those heels sink to the floor on your next inhalation reach the left leg up and step forward between your two hands

Opening the back foot warrior one inhale reach up

Hold exhale release step back into plank or right into your chaturanga inhale upward facing dog exhale

Downward facing dog on

your next inhalation the other leg steps forward between your two hands back foot opens warrior one on the other side and

Exhale release the hands step back into your plank chaturanga inhale upward facing dog exhale

Downward facing dog

From here. Let's just hold here a little bit longer really allowing yourself to go deeper into your downward facing dog

allowing that sternum to fall towards the floor

deep breath knee

On your exhalation you're going to bend both knees and hop forward between your two hands to the top of your mat

Exhale come forward from here inhale halfway, exhale fold

Inhale coming up into your chair

boot-cut asana and

Exhale releasing into your semistate - let's do that again

inhale chair position reach up exhale

Forward fold inhale halfway

Exhale hop or step back into chaturanga

inhale upward facing dog exhale

Take it back into your downward facing dog

Inhale stepping forward with your right foot reach both arms up to the sky warrior one

Inhale exhale release the hands step back into plank or let that leg hover chaturanga

upward facing dog inhale exhale

Downward facing dog. Let's go right to the other side left foot steps forward warrior one reach the arms up exhale

Bring the hands down step back chaturanga. Dandasana

Inhale upward facing dog breathing deeply here

Exhale take it back into your downward facing dog. Now. Let's hold that downward dog a little bit longer here

Allowing that sternum to fall towards the floor and then once you're ready hop forward halfway up

exhale forward fold

inhale, utkatasana chair posture

Exhale release hands to your heart. Let's do that again. Keep that body moving chair position inhale exhale

Release forward fold inhale halfway, exhale hop back into your chaturanga

Inhale upward facing dog. Hold it there and

exhale push it back into your downward facing dog, beautiful and

From here stepping forward with your left leg reaching the arms up to the sky warrior one

Inhale deep breath in and exhale release the hands back stepping back chaturanga

upward-facing dog on your inhale

Exhale downward facing dog and from here. Let's go ahead and take the other leg forward step between your two hands

opening into your warrior one inhale and

Exhale release the hands step back plank chaturanga inhale upward facing dog exhale

Downward facing dog

let's hold this downward dog a little bit longer here get those heels closer to the floor your sternum to the mat and

Then hopping forward between your two hands inhale halfway

exhale forward fold

inhale, utkatasana chair posture reach the arms up and

exhale

Standing into your some std from here. Let's take a deep breath in now reach both arms up allow the chest to open

Deeper and then release yourself into your forward fold

Halfway up from here jumping into your plank right into a push up and then shot orongo. Dandasana

opening into your upward facing dog

Hold for a moment and then exhale downward facing dog beautiful from here reaching your right leg up to the sky

Bending the knee and what you're gonna do from here is just bring the knee to the chest

Hold it there and then extend it all the way out and then step between your two hands inhale reach the arms up exhale

Hands down release the foot back into a one-legged pipe then step forward again

Reach the arms up

hands down

One legged plank. Keep going just like the stepping forward between your two hands then opening the body into your high lunge

Bring it down

step back

step forward

high lunge

Hands down step back into your one-legged plank and in chaturanga upward facing dog inhale and

Exhale downward facing dog, beautiful take an inhale

On your exhalation gonna round through the spine into plank position and then bring the other knee into the chest

Extend it all the way out step between your two hands reach the arms up hands down

one legged plank step between your two hands high lunge

arms down like

Keep going step forward arms up

Release the hands extend the leg back a few more times

Reach the arms up

Release the hands down

one legged plank and then take your chaturanga the bob word facing dog opening through the chest and

Exhale downward facing dog. Wonderful

Good just take a little bit of connect with your breath inhale exhale

Great job

One more deep breath theme in this downward-facing dog really feel that stretch

And then once you're ready left leg reaches up

You're gonna step between your two hands and then open the back foot and then cartwheeling the arms into our warrior two

Good just finding that Center pulling the navel into the spine

And then releasing one hand all the way down to the floor into your extended side angle

Creating that nice beautiful line through the tops of your fingertips all the way down to the heel

Really lengthening through the side of the body. You're letting go of any tension you may feel

Breathing deeply staying present and connected with your breath

Another inhale deep breath in exhale

Now if this is within your practice go ahead and bind take the top arm behind your back the other on the through

Connect the fingers and then open yourself up into your find

If a bind is not within your practice today you can begin by just trying to bend the top arm first

And then over time as you gain more flexibility in the shoulders, you'll be able to bend the other arm

Good just breathing deeply again continuing to open through the side of the body air

Continue to stay here or to take it up one more level try and extend that bottom knee

once both of your legs extended just hold and breathe a

Wonderful stretch to release tension. Not only through the side of your body, but also through the growing muscle through the inner thigh

Good just keep breathing. Keep focusing on the inhalation and the exhalation. We're almost done

deep breath in exhale

Slowly bending the front knee

releasing the bind

Reaching back into extended side angle and then extending the front leg as you bring the arm around

arms reaching up to the sky

Your feet are open now take the arms behind your back

Interlace the fingers deep breath in and as you exhale take your wide legged forward fold

But as your body releases down your arm come forward. So not only are we targeting the hamstrings here

We're also getting deeper into the shoulders

Your goal is to get that forehead to the mat and your hands over to the floor as well

No matter where you are in this posture just breathe feeling the wonderful benefits of this particular asana

Just letting go deeper and deeper into this posture with each exhalation allowing yourself to let go

Wonderful, let's slowly come on up now

Releasing the arms reach both arms up to the sky and now opening the other foot to the front of your mat and taking your

Warrior two on the other side deep breath in and then exhale

Releasing your hand all the way down to the mat as the top arm reaches towards the front of your mat

extended side angle

Looking up towards the skies. You really feel that nice opening through the entire side of your body

deep breath in exhale

Out

Just focus on the breath

And truly begin to feel any tension and that area of your body melting out of you

Continue to stay there or if it's within your practice go ahead and by

Bending the top arm and the other arm underneath and then connecting both fingers together

Bridge is free

Inhale and exhale

Now if you like to go even further and this is quite advanced you can extend that bottom meat and

Really? So both knees are straight

You're staying in your bind in the arms if this is too challenging for you today. No worries

Just continue to stay in your bind or extended side angle. Whatever feels good for you

Just breathing deeply

Feeling those muscles letting go the side of your body and your hips and your inner thighs

Wonderful, let's release back into our bind extended side angle reaching the arm forward and then up into your warrior two

Turning the foot forward and then turning the other foot to the front of your mat stepping right to the front inhale

Let's reach the arms up exhale

forward fold

inhale halfway

Exhale hop right into your chaturanga

upward facing dog on your inhale and

Exhale take a back into your downward facing dog

wonderful job inhale and exhale

Inhale exhale

round through into plank position

And then from here come on over to your elbows. We're going to take our dolphin planks

So what you're gonna do is lift the hips up and then as you exhale come right into plank

inhale up

and on your exhale come low with the body and the chest so working not just through the core but also through the shoulders and

To bring it all the way up exhale get low with the belly in the chest while maintaining the plank position form

Good reach it up exhale

plank

inhale lift up exhale

Up life and this is a great warm-up

Exercise for the next posture we're about to do which is going to be your elbow stand. We're also known as your pincha mayurasana

Good keep going a few more times and flank

Come on up into your dolphin now from here, let's begin to walk your feet closer towards your elbows

Your hands are the same distance apart as your elbows now. Kick one leg up

and

What we're going to do here is first

Practice the momentum of coming up to our elbows so you can just stay here and try to kick your bottom foot off the floor

and just do that a couple times or if you're comfortable come right up into your

Elbow stand and this is also posture you can practice against the wall. So if you need to you can pause the video

Come against the wall get on your elbows and just practice a few times coming up with both feet

Finding your balance if you are comfortable with this asana

Follow me and let's hold it here

If you'd like to come out and come back and that's also another variation you can practice just do whatever feels good for your body

Here and breathe and find your Center find your balance on your elbows

Wonderful now when you're ready to release come on down with one foot at a time and

Then drop down to your knees and release yourself into your Child's Pose giving your body a quick little break

Now this posture is quite advanced so it does take a lot of time and a lot of practice to master it

So try adding this particular posture into your daily yoga practice. We're just finding the time every day

To spend five to 10 minutes on learning how to get that balance and that momentum on top of your elbows

Alright, let's take one more deep breath in in your child's pose

Good long exhalation out just allow your body to release over top of those knees and

Slowly come on up into your all fours position

Tuck your toes underneath and then releasing into your downward facing dog

deep breath in

and

On your exhale hop between your two hands

landing right over into your boat posture now feet in front of you arms in front of you deep breath in

Finding that strength through the core and then releasing yourself all the way down

head onto the mat

pulling the knees into the chest just for another breath here and

Then extending the legs all the way out and we're going to move into our next posture our plow position. So flex those feet

Extend the legs you can give those hamstrings a little stretch

And then as you exhale begin to bring those feet up and over your head

You can interlace the fingers and just keep those elbows

Extended or you can keep the elbows pinned and keep your hands supporting your lower back

Whichever version you're taking just breathing here

Breathe and let go really feel that release through the back

Beat are together toes are tucked under

Breathing deeply here

if

Your hands are on the mat with your fingers interlaced. See if you can bring the palms of your hands together as well

So not only the fingers touching but also the palms of your hands are touching each other

Your elbows are extended your knees are extended

Another deep breath in

As you exhale now we're gonna open the legs and see if you can bring the knees all the way down to the floor now

Some of you may be able to come all the way down and some of you may have your knees slightly hovering above the floor

Wherever you are, just breathe feel that deep release through the spine

Your legs are open your knees are releasing slowly to the floor

Your arms are extended

fingers interlace and

Together

Great job not to release we're going to bring the feet together

Release the hands and begin to take your spine down one vertebra at a time

As soon as the spine is on the floor continue to release the legs all the way down to your mat

Flexing your feet and taking our final asana our fish pose

So what you're gonna do first just bend the elbows and bring the palms of your hands flat on the floor and underneath your sit

Bones from here. You're simply gonna lift the chest all the way up and

Balance and rest the top of your head on the floor

So really focusing on opening through that upper back

This is a wonderful counter posture to the previous position that we did your feet are flexed

And you're really opening through the heart center

Open and breathe

Inhale and

Exhale

The pinky fingers are touching and the hands are directly underneath your glutes

Almost like you're sitting on top of your hands

Wonderful another deep breath and really open up through the chest through your heart center

Your fallen as you exhale release the head down first

Release the body and then take the hands out from underneath you

Opening your feet and releasing into our final posture our shavasana

Allowing your feet to gently open out to the side the palms of your hands are facing up to the sky

Giving your body this opportunity to completely let go to surrender to the mat and

Simply be one with your breath

Letting go of any tension in the shoulders

Allowing your face to be completely neutral

Just simply feeling your breath in out

Allowing your legs to feel heavy

Your arms heavy by your side completely letting go of your entire physical body

You did an incredible job today

Pushing your body through different postures more advanced more difficult postures

So it's important to give your body at this moment

completely relaxed

Let go allow the muscles to settle your heart to settle

your breath to settle

Inhale

and exhale

Let's take another deep breath in

When you ready begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers first

Telling your body that it's time to wake up reaching the arms up over your head

giving yourself one big stretch

then once you're ready rolling over to one side into your fetal position and

Then coming up to your seated position on your mat

With your feet crossed in front of you

Sitting up nice and tall just resting the hands on the knees and give yourself this opportunity right now

Close your eyes and just go inward for a second

Good and once you're ready keeping your eyes closed reach the arms up to the sky just hold those arms up

Filling your body with that wonderful beautiful energy

Moms come together

And then bring the hands over to your third-eye chakra

Allowing that energy to release through your body and then bring your hands over to your heart center

Taking this opportunity right now to thank yourself your amazing practice today

Thank you so much for joining us in beautiful Turks and Caicos. I send you love and light your way

Why Are You An Adult At Age 18? - Duration: 8:54.

The age in which you are legally considered an

adult, known as the age of majority, is most commonly 18 years of age.

This is thought to be the legal threshold of adulthood when you are no longer considered

a "minor" and are now a part of the majority population.

You now assume control over yourself, your actions, and your decisions thus terminating

the legal control and responsibilities of your parent or guardian.

A pretty sobering thought for many young folks on the brink of adulthood.

So, who decided that 18 should be the age of adulthood, anyway?

Welcome to this episode of the Infographics Show, How Did 18 Become The Standard For Adulthood?

The age of majority is defined as the age at which a person is granted by law the rights

and responsibilities of an adult.

In the United States, 18 is the most common age of majority.

Some states however grant majority after a person passes high school, and still others

have it set even higher.

Alabama and Nebraska for instance, have the current age of majority at 19 while Mississippi

is at 21.

Nonetheless, the age of majority does not affect voting age which by law is set at 18

due to the twenty-sixth amendment to the constitution giving 18 year olds the right to vote in federal,

state and local elections.

Let's just cover a few bases before we dive right into how 18 became the age of adulthood.

There are a couple terms that sound similar to the age of majority, or the legal age of

adulthood, that you should know.

The first one is the age of consent, which, like the age of majority, varies by state.

As you already know, the age of majority means that now you are legally considered an adult.

You are granted the rights and responsibilities of adulthood, like opening a bank account,

purchasing a car, renting an apartment, buying a lotto ticket, and lots of other fun and

legally contracting things.

With that right, comes great responsibility.

You now also get to be held legally accountable for your actions.

That's a lot of pressure for someone just out of high school, but it's also a real

eye-opener.

Welcome to the real world, kid!

The age of consent refers to the legally defined age in which a person is no longer required

to obtain consent from a parent or guardian to get married.

It also refers to the age at which a person is considered to have the capacity to voluntarily

agree to sex—with consent, of course!

Though sexual intercourse with a person under the age of consent will likely lead to criminal

charges of statutory rape or sexual assault.

So, make sure you always know how old the person you're about to get down with actually

is!

Another term often confused with the age of majority is the age of license.

Like we mentioned before, the age of majority is the age at which a person is legally recognized

as an adult.

The age of license, however, is the age at which the government grants a person license—or

permission—to engage in certain activities, like buying and consuming alcohol and tobacco

or, if it's legally sold in your state, cannabis products.

It also includes driving a motor vehicle, and entering into certain kinds of contracts,

like renting a car.

In some cases the age of license is different than the age of majority.

For example, you can get your driver's license at 16 even though the age of majority is 18.

Or you can be of the age of majority but not be allowed to legally buy or consume alcohol

until reaching the age of license, which is, of course, 21.

But what if you decide that you want to be on your own before you reach the age of 18?

This would require a legal process called emancipation.

This happens when a minor is legally emancipated by the court to automatically obtain the age

of majority before their 18th birthday.

They are no longer controlled by their parents or guardian and likewise, the parents or guardian

are freed of responsibility toward the emancipated child.

Most jurisdictions consider minors who marry to be automatically emancipated and to have

obtained the age of majority status.

Alright, so now that we've covered those bases, let's go back to where all this started.

During World War II, President Franklin D. Roosevelt lowered the minimum age for the

military draft to 18 even though the voting age had historically been 21.

This outraged many and a rally cry was born: "Old enough to fight, old enough to vote"

became the slogan of the youth voting rights movement.

In 1942, the slogan prompted Democratic congressman, Jennings Randolph from West Virginia to introduce

federal legislation to lower the voting age to 18.

It was Randolph's faith in America's youth that really drove this effort.

He said "They possess a great social conscience, are perplexed by the injustices in this world

and are anxious to rectify those ills."

And in 1943, Georgia became the first state to lower its voting age to 18.

Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Lyndon B. Johnson both greatly supported Randolph's

cause.

Eisenhower was the first president to publicly voice his support for a constitutional amendment

that would lower the voting age.

In his 1954 State of the Union address he said: "For years our citizens between the

ages of 18 and 21 have, in time of peril, been summoned to fight for America.

They should participate in the more political process that produces this fateful summons."

In the late 1960's with the US involved in the long and costly Vietnam War, youth

voting rights activists held marches and demonstrations demanding the attention of lawmakers to the

injustice and hypocrisy of drafting young men who were denied the right to vote.

In 1969, 60 resolutions were introduced to Congress that would lower the voting age to

18, but none of those resolutions ever came to anything.

In 1970 Congress passed a bill that extended and amended the Voting Rights Act of 1965

which outlawed discriminatory voting practices.

The new bill contained a provision that lowered the voting age to 18 in federal, state and

local elections.

President Richard M. Nixon signed the bill into law though he issued a public statement

declaring the provision to be unconstitutional.

He said "Although I strongly favor the 18 year-old vote, I believe—along with most

of the nation's leading constitutional scholars—that Congress has no power to enact it by simple

stature, but rather it requires a constitutional amendment."

In the 1970 case Oregon v Mitchell, the US Supreme Court was tasked with reviewing the

constitutionality of the provision.

A divided Supreme Court ruled that Congress had the authority to lower the voting age

in federal elections, but lacked the power to do so for state and local elections.

Under this verdict, 18-20 year olds were now eligible to vote for president and vice president,

but not eligible to vote for state officials in the same election.

Naturally, this outraged many resulting in large public demonstrations led by the youth

who were being drafted but not allowed the right to vote.

This was the groundwork that paved the way for a Constitutional amendment.

Congress proposed the 26th Amendment which provides "The right of citizens of the United

States, who are 18 years of age or older, to vote, shall not be denied or abridged by

the United States or any state on account of age."

On March 10th, 1971, The US Senate voted unanimously in favor of the proposed amendment.

After an overwhelmingly in-favor House vote on March 23rd, the 26th Amendment went to

the states for ratification.

In less than four months, the necessary three-fourths of state legislature ratified the 26th Amendment

making it the shortest ratification period of any constitutional amendment.

President Nixon signed it into law that July.

At a White House ceremony attended by 500 newly eligible voters, Nixon said: "The

reason I believe that your generation, the 11 million new voters, will do so much for

America… is that you will infuse into this nation some idealism, some courage, some stamina,

and some high moral purpose that this country always needs."

The Senate Report accompanying the 26th Amendment states that it was proposed for three main

reasons: First: "Younger citizens are fully mature enough to vote."

Most people between the ages of 18 and 21 had finished high school and had received

some sort of higher education.

Secondly: "18 year olds bear all or most of an adult's responsibilities."

This consideration was especially important since more than 11,000 Americans killed in

Vietnam were under the age of 20.

Third: Young voters should be given the opportunity "to influence our society in a peaceful

and constructive manner."

Excluding 18 year olds from the political process resulted in violent protests against

the government.

Tell us what you think.

Do you think 18 years old is a good age for a person to be considered an adult?

Or do you feel it should be 21, like in the old days?

Let us know what you think and why in the comments!

Smaller Eyeshadow Palettes Declutter Part 1 - Duration: 35:31.

Hey everybody, thanks so much for joining me today today

I thought I would open up and share part of my eyeshadow collection with you

If you watched my first video the first one I ever posted on YouTube

It was an overall view of my makeup organization and vanity and beauty room

And so you might recognize this kitchen cart here where I store some of my smaller eyeshadow

palettes and so today I thought I would just

Break it down and show you each individually and what I have here stored in this top shelf here

I figured that was a lot easier than going through my entire collection of eyeshadow palettes and sorting out which ones were

Drugstore which ones were high-end the smaller palettes versus larger palettes

because then I'll just forget where everything goes and

Probably mess it all up

so I just thought it would be easier just to show you kind of shelf by shelf drawer by drawer and

Give you an overview of everything that I have a little bit in depth

So if you are interested to see part of my eyeshadow collection

Then just keep watching and I really appreciate it

If you guys would like to subscribe since I am

Fairly new to youtube that would mean so much to me and if you want to hit the notification bell so you can be alerted

Anytime I do these

In-depth reviews and collection videos, that would be great and I really appreciate it. Thank you

Okay guys, so here's all the palettes from that top shelf of that kitchen

Cart that I showed you so I'm pretty much decided

That while going through these I will decide if I do want to declutter. Any I just

Have decided that I have way too much makeup

And it is a time to kind of downsize my collection

I'm just not getting to use any of these products as much as I should or one to and they're just going to waste so

it won't be a huge declutter, and I'm just going to

Go by you know

Like I said drawer by drawer or shelf by shelf because I just have too many

items to really

gather together and go through so it might not be a huge declutter all at once but it is going to be you know some

Palettes that I will be declaring and makeup items that I will be

selling on my depop

Just kidding depop does not accept used makeup! So I will list them on my instagram page - hayesel83 if you're interested, thanks!

Account so I'll have that link below if you want to check those out

but yeah, let you know if anything is brand new or gently-used and just to sanitize everything if it was used so

Yeah, if you were interested since I did purchase all of this with my own money

It will be available on my deep hot bath. So let's get started

Let me just move this but this is pretty much what we're gonna go through today right now

and

Let's see here. I'll just start grabbing on any particular order

sorry, my dog is over here looking at the light so she might kind of get in the way a little bit but this is

the brand etude house and

It is a Korean brand beauty brand

So I got this

from their

Korean Beauty website here and it's an eyeshadow palette called pink skull and it's

This really cute palette with hearts on it. I haven't used it too much because

you know, I didn't want everyone the imprint too much but I think for now I will keep

hold of it some of it is just too cute to get rid of and I have its little sister palette here, which is

This color scheme, so this one for now I will hold on to I

Have the Buddha Beauty

Emerald obsessions palette I just got this during the sale. I haven't even

Used it yet. So I will still hold on to this. I love any kind of green eyeshadows

so this one I'm going to keep I

had this other

Huda beauty warm Brown obsessions. I got this one at first released don't open it

I did use it a little bit but I love these tones

and I love the quality of these shades and the you know size is so

Travel friendly and small and convenient. So I will be keeping this one, too

this one here the Jeep on she I

Purchased this I mean I just love the packaging

You know, the shades itself are pretty neutral and kind of create some pretty eye looks I used it

Maybe a couple times. But yeah, I really don't find myself reaching for it too often

So this one I believe I am going to list on my D pop account. So that one you could find on there

I will clean it up a little bit but yes, it wasn't hardly ever used as you can tell

So this one I will list on D pop

So there's one

This is the tarte. Which one is this miracles of the Amazon palette? I

Really like I got two of them, but I gave one to a friend

That was unused and this one here. I really

you know just

Wanted to like I mean, I like the packaging a lot and the shades are pretty neutral and you get a blush

So I think I used it a couple of times. But yeah, I just don't find myself reaching for it

So, I believe this one will also be listed on D pop as well

This is Tarte, don't quit your day dream

So I think I got this as a free gift from Ulta

I think just being a you know avid shopper from there. They sent a free gift to like their Platinum members

two years ago, I believe and so I was super excited to get this, you know free makeup is always welcome and

You know, I think it's a really pretty palette as you can tell I actually have never used it

I don't think yet for any of the shades here. Um, so it's really pretty. Umm, this one I

Mean, I just don't reach for as you could tell I haven't even used it the double duty

Beauty is called so I think I'm going to lift that as well

I'm not sure yet. If I'm going to list, you know palettes individually maybe for some of the smaller sized palettes

I will do like a bundle. So I

Will decide on that later. This is the brand by Terry. They are a pretty luxury makeup brand and

Here you have some pretty sorry I don't want to blind you with the Sun some pretty kind of neutral shimmery shades they're very

You know just soft

Makes them soft pretty looks not anything like super pigmented. I think I used this once or twice

But yeah, I'm just not reaching for it out of all my palettes. So this one I believe I will also list on D pop

And I will tally at the end how many I've kept and how many I'm listing

Decluttering from this batch here. So every collection video the clutter video I will list on there

This is the color pop make up your mind shadow palette

I love the color pop formula and these shades were super pretty and I haven't even used it yet

So I will be keeping and holding on to this one

Here is the Wet n Wild

Mythical creatures, so it's from that

Collection kind of playing off the game of Thrones I have used. I think the purple shade I

Did use this or maybe I know actually this is the one I did not use yet

so I will hold on to this because I think the purple shade is really pretty so I'm going to keep this one and

Try this one out

Well, here's another my last huda beauty smokey obsessions palette of the obsessions collection

Yeah, I haven't even touched it yet, but I love the shades they're so beautiful

So I am going to keep this and hopefully use this soon and try it. But yeah, I really do like these shades

Another Tarte palette this is the

high-performance Naturals, I believe I got this from Macy's as a Macy's exclusive so it has

these shades here with a blush and

Yeah, it looks like I might have used this shade up here cookie swap it maybe this one down here chestnuts roasting

But everything else oh and this one dipped in chocolate

So I think I probably only used it once and maybe the bush. So this one I will be selling since

Just don't reach for it. That's what happens when you have too many

Makeup items you forget about stuff in your collection and then it doesn't get any use and that's why this a much-needed

Purge oh

This is the estee lauder. What's that, Victoria Beckham collection?

I just love the chase the black ribbed

Leather kind of feeling case and is a little tricky to open. There we go. So

shades names

It's so pretty, I think I might have only used a couple shades in here once I

Just was trying to keep it as a collectible maybe but then decided to use it and I really haven't used it

This one I want to keep it but then I just don't use it

And I feel like somebody else would get a lot of use out of it and love it more

I'm gonna put this

In the

Maybe for now. Yeah, maybe

We'll see at the end of the video how I feel if I can make up my mind

These are the low rock

Kind of what were they like the city pallets? So this one is Venice Beach and it's the boho palette

And I like that it comes with a mirror, but you get four shades and two kind of highlighter kind of face

powders

Yeah, these are super cute and convenient I just I don't know I just don't reach for them but they're super cute I

Think I only use that shade and maybe canal

So hard, this is what happens when you have makeup lovers problems

This one would be a maybe two for now. Let's put that in the maybe pile

And then here's another one that I have the lorac Malibu free spirit

And this line I don't think I've ever never even touched maybe we might did on this shade here

Yeah, I mean these are just she's that I have I do like that this is a kind of bronzer looking shade and highlighter

But it's just going to waste

I'm gonna think about that one

But yeah, I definitely will get rid of at least once I just have to decide between the two so let's come back to that

This is the Shanta Kai

Corsican eye palette trio

This one is super pretty it's like very shimmery kind of

Subtle subtle shades here

This one I am going to keep is just too pretty I don't think I've even used it yet

So I will be keeping this one

This is my Kat Von D shade + light eye palette, it's the glimmer glimmer

Palette not the matte one the shade and light glimmer. I contour palette

so I

Was so excited to get this

Yeah

so excited to get this

And I think I used it once or twice and I just wasn't

That impressed with it as you can tell because I didn't use it again

um

Yeah, I just didn't

Find the shimmer shades very pigmented or they just didn't you know, there's some fallout with the glitter

And I just didn't find myself reaching for it. So sadly, I think I will be selling this as well

I just think it's too much effort to try and keep trying to use it

And I think it's on sale right now at Sephora anyway, so might as well

People weren't really diggin it. So get rid of that one

Here is my dose of colors the first does he and Katie collab?

You know, I know how this just sold out so fast

so I

Just wanted to get my hands on the eyeshadow palette and I wasn't sure if I would use it or cute as collectible

And so far I have not used it

But I am going to continue and hold on to this

and try to use it since I did just get their new palette the Frank Asian and

I want to try and compare those two. But yeah, since it is brand new for now. I will hold onto it

These are my Smashbox kind of mini palettes here, I think these two were in a set and these two are individuals

So this one is the sunlight yellow palette. I just had to get this one because of the

Beautiful yellow shades and I haven't even touched it yet. So I am going to hold on to this

This one here is which one is this one

Old an hour, I palette I don't know if I use this one or not. Yes, I did

So this one is pretty I mean it has

Some good neutrals and some plummy shades and shimmers, but I like the too matte sheets, too

But you know, I don't reach for this. So this one I will be listing

And then these two I think we're in the holiday set was it last year?

This is the blaze eyeshadow palette. So it is one of the originals just with a special kind of holographic packaging and

This is just really pretty warm neutral colors

Which I haven't used. So I

Really do like the shades. I think I would try to use this if I downsize my collection

So I will hold on to this one

And

Here is another one

Sultry eye palette. So this is like the cooler toned

version, I think I used a couple of those sheets over there, but

not

Anything exciting really to me. I already have a couple cool toned eyeshadow palettes. So I think I will list this one

This is my color pop

Mar palette, I only got the Mar because you know

I figured the Blues were a little bit more unique to my collection and didn't get the warm palette

I forget what that one's called

but yeah, this one is really pretty I did use this one and it's super pretty with the green blue here and

The gold peachy shades are just gonna meet Beach vibes

Of course, that's why it's called Mar for the beach and ocean and I will be continuing to hold on to this one

I probably won't get many get rid of many color pop palettes. I really do like their quality and things that they

Do with them. So I think I will

Probably hold on to most of them. So let's move a couple more over here

This is the Tarte

Make magic happen palette. I don't even know what this palette is. Oh

Yeah, so this one, you know, I fell for all the hype and the you know

Release of this but it really is kind of boring. I think I tried to use it a couple of the shades but

It's just blah

So maybe you know for somebody starting out with makeup, it is a pretty you know

Day-to-day everyday look but yeah this one I'm just not reaching for so I will be selling this one

This is my Lime Crime Venus 2 palette, I don't have the 1 or the 3 but I have the extra-large palette I

was just really drawn to these shades because

You know has the mustard yellow. This is kind of army green and sky blue and this dual chrome. So I really like

Shade selection in this palette and I think their formula is pretty good. So I'm going to hold on to this one

The Tarte dream big palette here

This one's cute, I mean it has like, you know nothing

Stand out spectacular, but it has you know, some good shades that you could use every day

Let me think about this one too, let me compare this one later so still a maybe

Actually

Huh, just as I was trying to close it

it just fell out fell out of its case, but

Just pop that back in no, no damage to any of the shades, but it does fall out easily

We'll see about that

Pippa stop chasing the light she keeps chasing the light from the reflections. Okay, let's keep going

This is a brand I found on Beauty lish that I've never heard of and so was intrigued by them. It's makeup Atelier

Paris I just thought the shades were really pretty and I think their quality is pretty good. I mean, I don't think it's

This is necessary for the price tag that they retail for but I do

like the shade range and

The pigment but I haven't reached for them in a while

so that's kind of the warm shades and these are greens which I love and this one is

Amazon

And this one is

Spicy

Can you try and swatch them? I don't remember really they are very soft

Yeah, look at those oh

Yeah, that's pretty good quality. Do you like those? So I think I'll hold on to badge how I play with it more

This one here

Very soft and smooth. You should play with this board

Hmm yeah, I like these though

I think I will continue to hold on to them and try and get more use out of them. Okay?

So let's move on to here this is the J

This is yeah springtime in Paris, man shimmer eyeshadow palette. I think the packaging is super pretty

kind of

Like pink leopard print and then these shades

You know, sorry

They're pretty, but they're nothing

Nothing, you know exciting really I used a few of them. Let me just watch them do this blue shade

This kind of burgundy shade

Sorry, I should have brought makeup wipes

Well, they're very pigmented

Is that burgundy shade is?

but yeah, I just never

Reached for that palette. So, you know, I think I am going to list that one

This is the NYX

Kind of it element palette that they released. This is the one in earth. I just thought the colors in this one

We're a little bit more

appealing

the big mirror so

get these

And I think I've only used it once

Let me swatch the ones here and see how they are

So they are very pigmented

Ya see I'm gonna have a blend don't remember

hmm

you know, this was kind of pricey for a NYX palette in general is like

What are you trying to be next? You're not tart or - Caze - not quite as crazy as those but still um

Let me put that in the maybe you'll see

Okay wipe off my swatches a little I didn't bring any

Okay, so this is the little Kat Von D shade + light eye

Shadow quad that she released a little while ago and that they were popping up in t.j.maxx and everywhere. This is the shake plum

I actually got this from a friend on Instagram. We did kind of a 12 days of Christmas Beauty

trade

Gifting and so she sent me this palette and I loved it was so pretty and cute and so travel friendly

As you could tell I did use it a little bit. But yeah, unfortunately, I just tend to reach for the larger palettes now

it's just you know something a

Bigger variety, I guess that I'm looking for and you know, I tend to do a shimmery eye look always

Not just completely matte. So I think I will fill this one

These two here

Is the brand Josephine I found them on Neiman Marcus, but they're not a very well-known brand

I haven't seen them anywhere else, and I actually don't even know if they're sold on email Marcus anymore

But I thought the shades were really pretty they accidentally sent me the wrong shade

They accidentally sent me this. Um

When I met when I did order this one here

Yeah, see these are more of my shades. I haven't even touched either of them

So when I called Neiman Marcus to tell them hey you sent me the wrong item

They were like, oh well since it's makeup and you already opened it, even though I didn't touch it

They were like you could just keep it and we'll just send you a new one. So that was really cool

I because they are kind of pricey so I'm gonna keep both of them still

But yeah, they just sent me the replacement and I got to keep the other shade

and

You know, I like how some department stores or retailers are fine with that

They're just like yeah, it's makeup we can't take it back because you might have touched it contaminated it

so we'll just sent you a replacement and then others are like no you have to return it back to us and it's like

Okay, but you can't resell it. So what are you gonna do with it all that or I don't know

I just think you know, they should just let you keep it

This is the Becca

Which ocean Jules eye palette so I didn't gets this when it first released. I was just like kind of oh

It's kind of a you know boring

not really something I need or want, but then I saw swatches and I was like

oh, that's really pretty actually and it's really just beautiful and

Especially this one here this kind of duochrome me shade and the little violet shade up here

So it actually when it went on sale at Becca, sorry, I don't applied you when I went on sale at Becca

I snatched it up and I still have yet to use it

But I do plan on using it sometime really I really do. So this one I will keep

This is the Tarte

Make believe in yourself palette. So this is the pretty you know, unicorn

Themed one. That's very shimmery. I haven't used it too much. Yeah, I really think I only used a couple shades here

But I've seen a lot of youtubers say how much they love this pillow and how pretty it is

There's the highlighter in the center and one matte shade and the rest are shimmer metallic shades

so I do want to hold on to this and try and use it more to see what all the hype is about and I

Do think it's really pretty and kind of unique to a collection

This one I do really like even though the whole mermaid

Unicorn theme is pretty gimmicky and people are over it. I didn't get it because of the whole

Mermaid theme I do really like the packaging joke the packaging though

I think that's a really pretty blue shell case, but the shadows are what really?

Drew me in and I really like how they form even though the pants are kind of small

So I'm sure you've already seen this but even though the pants are weird shaped sighs

When I use this in my makeup rotation, I really did enjoy this pellet and the shade range

so I I like it and I'm gonna keep it a

Couple more tart rainforest Palace. This is the rainforest of the sea volume 2

Got sucked into the packaging

But I'm really glad I didn't buy like the others that came out. I just you know

Since I hardly used these I decided I don't need the others

so it's just you know, your neutral kind of Browns and a kind of

Black shimmery shade and highlight shade and I did use it a few times. But yeah, I haven't reached for it

So I think I will be selling this

And this one is rainforest of the sea volume 3

And this one?

yeah, I've only used this a couple times - 30 kind of

light shimmery rose gold gold shades

I

Don't reach for it though. I just think it's a shame that I never used it. This one's really pretty

I'm gonna touch this one because I already did use a couple but

That that white shade

Yeah, but it's nothing like I don't already have probably tomorrow so I think I will sell this one too

Maybe I'll sell them together. We'll see this is the Urban Decay

Beauty by beauty with an edge palette

so these little pans here now when I first started getting into makeup I was

you know just

didn't buy palettes at first and I was just like hey, this is

You know great idea to have a bunch of palettes. I mean bunch of shades in a palette

together and

Me, you know buy a bunch of palettes, but then I started realizing that some of the palettes already has some of the

You know single shades that I already own as singles, so I was like wait

I have to really check my collection check it and make sure her cuz I know Urban Decay does that a lot they'll use like

baked cowboy and free love and these they sell singles and they put them in a palette smog and I was just like

Oh crap. I already have some of these already. So why am I buying the palette if I have some of them?

So I'm learning and this was you know in the beginning when I first started getting into makeup

But I think these shades are really pretty and are in a cute convenient palette. So I will keep this one

Pull my narcissus palettes. Yeah, these I definitely will keep even though I don't reach for them as much this is the NARS wanted palette

So it's really pretty I really like the shades here

I'm so tempted to get their new palette the ignited palette, but you know after reading some reviews and

thinking that they're not

anything too unique

I think I will just hold off on that one for now and

All the makeup now goes on sale like before makeup hardly everyone on sale

But now you can find them on sale like all the time or they get discounted like really fast

So I'm trying to be better and be more patient wait, you know for these sales?

Instead of my full price and then never using them by the time they go on sale. This is the loaded palette

I think this was the first one. Yeah, these are really pretty just warm kind of palette neutrals

So I will hold on to this one as well. I

know Pippa

I'm distracted by the link. Okay, we're almost done guys. Well half way more than half way. Oh, oh

This is my busy art warm nudes palette, but the pan just popped out

And I haven't even used this. So I I got this in my beauty lish

extra-large lucky bag last year

I was super excited to have this because you know busy art is so expensive and I didn't have this one yet

so I was very happy and it just popped out again very happy to have that so I

Am going to keep that especially if the pan keeps popping out. I don't want you

tell anybody something that

Might damage on them. I'll keep that and hopefully use it. I'm really am trying to get into more neutral of mats. I mean

This is the dark mattes busy Art palette. I don't know as the busy art is advised are I never know whatever?

So this is the dark mask I bought this myself and really like the color selection in here

I think it's just some really unique dark matte shades that you don't find everywhere. So this one I will hold on to

And these are my Urban Decay

Custom palettes that I just popped the single shadows in I don't remember what the shadings are

so I just you know would buy the Urban Decay singles and

Then I found out that they have an empty palette that you could put them in. So I bought a few empty palettes

so for now

I think I will keep these I don't want to sell people shades that they might not care for or customize it themselves

So I think for now I will keep these

That one this one here has some pinks and purples and

Then this one here has some other shimmery and other shades there

Here's some more busy art palettes this is the golden hour palette

This one that's so hard to open there you go. So I think these shades are really pretty

I hate that they put the flap in here with the shade names. I wish they just printed it on the case and the person

owner of is ER when I said that on Instagram actually said like

Debating on whether to do that or not, but you know people thought this was a better idea, you know

We can't make everybody happy. You know, it's like, oh, I totally understand it. You know, you just please some people and

Others aren't happy. But yeah, I really don't like that flap

But you can remove it but then you don't have the sheet names which nope. They're not even on the back

so this is the tryst palette the second one that they released and I really do think I want the third one with just the

Libertine, but for now, I'll hold off but I'll keep these two for now because I really do like their shadows

And then just the last few a lot of color pop here, so I probably won't get rid of those

This is the Urban Decay troublemaker palette. I got this one

I was like super on sale when it first came out and went on sale pretty early and I haven't even touched it yet

But I love urban decay shadows. So I think I will hold on to this one for now since I haven't even touched it

And then my color pop shadows the I think I love you. I really like this palette cuz it's just a bunch of warm

Beautiful shimmer shades, so I will hold on to this one

This is the brown sugar palette, I actually just got this a couple weeks ago, so I haven't even played with this one yet

You know, it's kind of boring and neutral but just something about it. I was just like no I want to get it

I really like how small

sizes and the pans are so I really

Do like the convenience of the color pop?

Sheäôs there I got the brown sugar palette when I got this palette as well the campaign like zodiac palette

I was waiting just for a good color pop deal to add this palette to my collection

And I haven't played with this one yet. So I really like

Is it the dream?

Greenstreet or I

Can't remember the other kathleenlights palette. I really like bicolor pop as well

So that's one of my favorite color pop palettes

So I can't wait to play with the zodiac and hopefully that will be the same. This is the dream Street palette

Yes on that one No, oh yeah it is duh right in front. Yeah, this is one of my favorite palettes by her

With colour-pop, so I

Just think the shades especially the teal sheets are really really pretty and this one here is super nice on the end

So that's one of my favorites. You know, I'm keeping all of these. Of course. That's why I'm not saying anything

this is some My Little Pony palette, which is very

Reminiscent of their palette that they just released the double rainbow palette for the holidays

I haven't touched this one yet because I thought I would just keep it as a untouchable

But I'm gonna keep it and maybe use it but I really think the packaging is so cute

I still love my little ponies when I was little I would actually paint

Their hooves with nail polish when I was little and I ruined them

That's what I used to do. And the last color pop palette here in this batch is the Shayla

Perception palette and this is a really pretty palette. I'm really glad I picked this one up

I don't really know who she is unfortunately, but yep, I like what she did with this color scheme here

So I'm going to keep that one

So, you know not too many that I'm decluttering

like I said, I'm just kind of

re-evaluating my collection and going through and seeing what I

Have used and don't use let's go back to the ones that I was

Maybe's for so these here

Yeah, I think I am I'm going to list this one I don't use it and I think somebody else would really like it

so this is the

Estee Lauder and Victoria Beckham

palette so

hardly use

Somebody else can enjoy it the dream date palette by Tarte

I'm gonna watch this one, too. I don't use it

the NYX earth palette

No, you don't reach for it

list that one now Venice Beach and

Malibu beach which ones

Mmm

Kind of leaning towards Venice Beach here. Yeah, but do I even meet both do I?

You know from now I will hold on to this Venice Beach and get rid of Malibu, so let's see

That's one two, three, four five six

Twelve

thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen seventeen

He pop and seventeen and out of the whole drawer full here. I'm keeping one

Keeping 38 I'm getting over to 17 keeping 38 that's like a

Little bit less than half so

No, I'm totally doing math wrong I'm not good at math

But anyway, I'll put the numbers up and put it in the description once I figure it out, so thanks so much for watching

I plan to have more declutter soon and

Going through my whole collection. I just have to reevaluate everything. So take control of my life and my collection and hopefully

Make some room and just be able to use up more of my makeup. Thanks guys. Have a good day. Bye

Decolonizing Beauty with Nena Soul Fly | Be You - Duration: 3:31.

(water gurgling)

- [Narrator] It's said that when water hits the ground,

it will always create a new path.

There are strands of hair that separate in three directions

and when weaved together, it creates a whole.

My name is Tanya Moroju Ominike Melendez.

I am Boricua of the diaspora,

a multidisciplinary artist currently focusing

on hair, makeup and adornment.

The work that we have to do as women of color

is a tireless work.

This constant creating and weaving and stretching.

A ritual of recognition, of self-acceptance,

of allowing ourselves to shine,

allowing ourselves to be seen in our true essence.

Through becoming, we will find our true purpose.

Undoing is a process of unraveling, of breaking down,

of allowing yourself to sit in your emotions,

in your sadness and grief, to sit in solitude.

Undoing is the release of old, of doubt,

letting go false narratives

and allowing yourself to see who you truly are.

Allowing yourself to see all your beauty

and all your ugliness and find your strength in that.

To be is to give zero f**ks about what anybody thinks

about who you are, how you look like, what you're wearing,

how your hair is, what style of jewelry, of adornment.

To be is just to know who you are

and to move forward completely and wholly in strength.

Decolonizing beauty to me is a form of self-acceptance.

When I'm braiding someone's hair,

I feel this immense gratitude and humbleness.

My work is very intimate and personal,

just creating (laughs), and whatever moment

that I'm having with that client at that time,

that's what's supposed to happen.

Whatever like a-ha or release,

I don't think about what society deems as acceptable.

I don't give a f**k about any of that.

It's more of a personal thing between me

and that person on the chair.

Black Mirror's Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Film Bandersnatch Has 5 Possible Endings: How It Works - 24 - Duration: 3:46.

With an interesting twist, Netflix has ushered in a new era of television and movies.

On Friday, the streaming giant released the latest saga of its dystopian series Black Mirror, confirming the rumors that it progresses in a choose-your-own-adventure style. Bandersnatch — which takes place in 1984 and tells the story of "a young programmer [who] begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge," according to the synopsis — has five possible endings.

Here's how it works.

At various points in the story, the viewer must choose what happens next. According to The New York Times, the options range from the seemingly insignificant — the first is: Sugar Puffs or Frosties for breakfast? — to the more impactful — will the main character, Stefan, played by Fionn Whitehead (Dunkirk), take his medicine?

As Buzzfeed reports, you have only a few seconds to answer, and if you don't, one will be chosen at random. Once you've made your selection (or once the device has for you), the movie continues without any black screen or pause to load, which reinforces the idea that you're actually directing the story instead of simply playing a game.

That said, the choose-your-own adventure function isn't available on all devices. It works on iOS but not on Apple TVs or Smart TVs. According to Variety, the viewing time ranges between 40 and 90 minutes.

The magazine also reports that there are more than one trillion different versions of the story, but most of them don't actually affect the outcome of Stefan's life.

So what was the logic behind this new format? Simply put, getting viewers to care more.

"If bad things happen, you'll feel even more crestfallen, because you were responsible," Todd Yellin, Netflix's vice president for product, told The Times. "If the character is victorious, you'll feel even more uplifted because you made that choice."

Reps from Netflix also hinted to the paper that it has a few more interactive shows in the works.

For most of the choices, you have to watch your decision play out in full and you can't rewind. But for others, you will receive the option to do it over. You can also, of course, start over if you want.

According to Deadline, Black Mirror will also be getting a complete fifth season — which does not include Bandersnatch — to be released at a later, unannounced date. These episodes will not be interactive, The Times reports.

Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is streaming on Netflix now.

Amacyn Perfume | MBS Festival Sydney - Duration: 3:18.

- Hi, I'm Ferlyn Genato,

I am the designer and maker of Amacyn Natural Perfume.

Today I'm at the Mind Body Spirit Festival,

and I'm going to show you my 14 perfumes.

These perfumes are made with certified organic ingredients.

They are all made at three a.m. in the morning,

where I am very creative.

All of the perfumes of Amacyn,

isn't just how you smell,

it's not just about how you smell,

but it's about how you feel.

All of these perfume represent the emotions that we have

in the different stages in our life, for me anyway.

I Am Grateful, for example.

I created this when I am feeling grateful about

my experiences in life.

Looking at the ingredients of this,

I've actually tried to interpret that feeling in a note,

for combining sandalwood, nagchampa and narcissus,

all together, creating that light, woody profile

of the scent.

Another example is, I Am Change.

Again, this is another example of a time in my life

where there's a lot of changes,

and changes are good.

So what I've done is actually create a scent at that moment

which is the scent of gardenia, rosalina, agarwood,

green tea, neroli, vanilla all together,

making a warm floral profile.

The next one is I think my favourite one.

Well not just I think, but I believe it's my favourite one.

I Am Light.

I Am Light is a time in my life where I'm asking myself

how can I make changes in the world,

how can I contribute to that.

I captured that moment with a scent of agarwood, rose,

vanilla, kunzea, labdanum and rosewood.

Kunzea is a native plant of Australia.

The complex combination of this scent makes up a warm,

neutral, fresh profile.

The next will be a product that I've just recently created.

A lot of my clients have been asking me

for a cream-based perfume, and now it's here.

I Am Grateful comes with a cream-based perfume,

and this perfume is made with certified organic ingredients,

and it's hand made, as we always do.

You use this product just like a spray perfume.

You rub it on your heat point,

and you can see it's not greasy.

If you want to test the 14 samples,

come and visit us at the Mind Body Spirit Festival,

and say hi to us.
