Why don't the seminars of the Project help?

Have you asked yourself that question?

And indeed, sometimes our female students ask this kind of question:

"Why is someone getting married, and I am not? Even this 67-year-old woman

married a baron, and I'm not married yet. "

Or a lot of our students give up on their debts and

loans literally after the first seminar.

Debts amounted to 3, 4, 5 million rubles! You might not have any debts,

but you would probably like to improve the financial situation!

Why is it not happening?

We have a tremendous amount of successful students.

We happily publish their results, and tell

about it in our social networks, on websites, everywhere.

But why does not everyone get such results?

Who are they? They are probably some chosen students,

and there are very few of them, who succeed, and the rest does not.

Or they are just fake, fictional stories

that we feed you, as if they were real.

Let us find the answers to these questions,

and today we are going to examine together 4reasons

why the seminars do not help. And if you are not going to eliminate those 4 reasons,

even the most effective seminar, which contains the knowledge

that can simply turn your life around,

will not help you.

[4 reasons why seminars do not help!]

Let's take a pen, a notepad, and write down each point: Number 1!

[#1 Non-compliance with the recommendations of trainers] You do not follow recommendationsof the coaches. Very often I hear during individual

consultations, when the girls come and say:

"You know, it seems like I did everything, but it didn't help me."

I say: "Well, please give me the list

of the recommendations you received during your last diagnosis?

I don't have it, I lost it.

OK, what did you do from this list?

Well, um, began to walk more. Could it really be only thing

the coach recommended you? No, there was also this,

that, that, and that. Did you do it?

Well, um, yes, but not all the time, and not quite that".

Generally speaking, pretty often you think

you follow the recommendations,

but it isn't so. Let's draw such simple analogy.

What does usually follow after a complicated surgery?

A recovery process takes place. The doctor gives you some

time for rehabilitation in order to go back

to given state, and prescribes the necessary recommendations,

like bed rest, certain diet, etc. etc.

You recover very quickly, once you follow them.

Correct? And you function again.

And what is going to happen if you do not follow the doctor's recommendations the doctor after

after the surgery? For instance, you will go run a marathon

right after you have just been sewn up?

The seams will disperse, and on top of that, you will have extremely

negative consequences. I think no one needs to

get explanations, but not many understand that a seminar, my dearest,

a seminar, or an individual work of a coach, an expert

of our Project with you, is the same

surgery, only done on your body's energy.

Seriously! We are kind of making a small

cut in the subtle bodies, getting out all the fears,

resentment, anger, self-pity, all the negative.

And then we sew you in an implant of joy, success, self-confidence,

wealth, success. Yes, yes, yes, you can sew

fortune in you! The task we have as experts,

is to remove all unneeded things, and add

all that you need in order for you to achieve

your goals, and be happy. However, we always give you recommendations,

which must be carried out during at least 21 days, as a rule.

Right?

And they need to be followed. Not until then will you easily go

through the recovery, and self-confidence will stick

to you. Follow the recommendations

of the experts - this is the first rule.

The second reason, why

seminars don't help is doubting.

[#2 Doubts] Indeed, you yourself doubt that they can

help you. My favorite phrase, and

I often use it: "If you are afraid that you will not succeed

- stop being afraid, it won't work." And it is so.

If you even doubt something, a tremendous amount

of your energy and strength simply flows down this "doubt pipe."

If you doubt that a seminar, individual

practices, an amulet will help you, my dear friends, they are not going to work.

They will not be able to bring those changes and the power

you want and need into your life,

into your destiny. Because a part of your energy

will simply flow down the doubt pipe.

We lately had one case - 2 sisters came to our class:

one elder sister, who seemed to be happily married,

but the relationship with her husband didn't work out very well somehow,

they began to argue and fight. However, this happens often

after the marriage. The second one graduated recently from the

institute, and has not yet decided what she would like to do in life.

When the elder sister came to

the class, she would always say: "Well, I even doubt

that this will help me, and I am not at all sure that all this

knowledge works." The younger one, on the contrary,

took up everything that we offered with great enthusiasm: she carried out all the practices,

recommendations, felt herself great, her mood

would improve. While her elder sister came

home grouching, continued to fight with her husband, and, sure enough,

their relationship was turning sour, and they were heading to divorce.

The younger sister, while fulfilling absolutely all the recommendations

(see point number 1), and having absolutely no doubt in

the Academy's ability to help her, eventually married the owner,

no wait, the son of the owner of one Italian enterprise.

And now she lives in Italy on lake shore, she has a beautiful

daughter, and her husband loves her a lot. Therefore, my dear, not

hesitate. When you doubt, you lose everything.

Come up to the mirror right now,

look into it with confidence, straighten

your back, and say: "I am sure that the Academy's seminars will help me."

How does it feel?

Look this woman into the eyes.

If there is a shine of confidence in them, then this point was not about you.

Do not hesitate, but rather act,

and then you will succeed.

and the, Soulja game fuze, and other various forms of electronic trash."

"All they really are is just one of those Chinese knockoff systems will illegal roms

on a USB stick.

And he's charging people $400!?

I can buy a real console for that much!

Come on guys, people can't this be this stupid to buy a fake console for that much

right?

Please tell me I'm right..

"After doing a little more research all his consoles did not only have pirated roms,

but those roms, contain…

Nintendo, SEGA, Konami, and some other IP's from other companies, and you know, with recent

events with Nintendo taking rom sites, how do you think Souljaboy is going to be any

different.

Nintendo is probably going to cook up a really nice lawsuit just for Soulja boy.

You can mess with any other company Souljaboy, but when you mess with NINTENDO, you're

in for it."

Most likely Souljaboy, for the man that he is, did not have permission to commercially

sell these games.

And he says that what hes doing, and I quote, "100% legit."

*Sigh* Okay, Souljaboy, if you really don't want to make it si obvious that you didn't

steal the roms then why are the file names still on the menu screen?

It's like you not even trying, this is decisive evidence you stole it.

"And even then if you really wanted to use as a emulator to play games, it doesn't

even do that well.

It has screen tearing, YES SCREEN TEARING, FOR 20 YEAR OLD GAMES, the controllers crap,

and the features are a joke."

"This goes to show that people do a lot of crazy things to bring themselves relevance

again.

*cough* the brony fandom.

And sometimes, they pull stunts like this, and the sad part is, it works.

"Soulja boy has been irrelevant nowadays and has been for the last few years, so he

had to do something that the internet would talk about and criticize to get his name out

there again.

That's what he did, and it's working pretty well for him.

We can criticize him all we want but in the end of the day he wins."

"*sigh* talk about a lose-lose situation."

"But at least there are people with common sense telling others not to buy these consoles

cause they are definitely not worth it."

"In fact Soulja boy even responded to the criticism we've giving him.

Pulling that because I'm black card and saying "you guys don't like seeing black

people make money, all of you are just haters."

Calling us nerds and all that.

He even tweeted he was, "NOT SCARED OF NINTENDO."

I think his reaction was reasonable but it just showed how ignorant he really was.

Oh well, things like that happen everyone.

As long as the internet continues to act this way towards publicity stunts people will still

do them.

"It's sad but, that's the world we live in.

how to go beyond the ordinary and how when you do this it changes everything

welcome back ed a video my name's Eric I hope people expand their consciousness

and in this video how to go beyond the ordinary and how to create your life to

be magical maybe you've seen me before maybe you've seen me on Instagram

talking about that of Harry Potter and how much I like Harry Potter and how

would I read the books Harry Potter and then after the series I was like oh I

gotta live in this world without magic or so I thought and it was kind of sad I

was like fifteen years old and I was like man I got to go live with all these

no ghosts no magic I remember for awhile I got really

excited I got a stick in my backyard I was young I got a stick and I was like

pretending to be pretending they could do magic and stuff like that but guess

what years later I realized that magic is something you can create in your life

when you learn how to let go of the subconscious and the beliefs that holds

you back from experiencing more now let me explain what I mean that I meant if

the the Harry Potter stuff kind of a metaphor although I think that in one

reality Harry Potter may exist that type of reality which would be really cool

which it's like why am I not there right now but I digress anyways when it comes

to understanding the magic of reality the first thing to understand is that

your reality will be consistent to the way that you define it so how do you

define reality I'm real one time I read a book by uh by Tony Robbins and in it

he talks about there's like this there's this called awaken the giant within in

it there is this one chapter where he talks about what are your metaphors for

life like your metaphors for life are going to control how you experience your

life for example do you think do you think that your life is an uphill battle

because if that's the metaphor you use think alike that's a metaphor it's like

uphill battle like going uphill is really hard do you think that a reality

is hard in general life is not meant to be easy do you feel like you're just

trying to make a dollar out of 15 do you feel like that because if you say

it habitually and even think about that metaphor trying to make a dollar a

dollar out of 15 cents it seems like you have to stretch that 15 cents like by

seven or eight times that's a lot and it's like that's gonna be hard you know

and if you're constantly living I remember I used to always walk around be

like yo man how you doing what's going on bro and someone would be like dude

good man I just try to make a dollar 50 cents I'm like bro are you trying to do

that I'm like yeah I bet you are I bet you are I bet you're at the the the

7-eleven try to get a Gatorade and it's a dollar and you only have 15 cents and

you're like trying to get the Gatorade they're like no you you still need like

85 cents more so this is about being aware of the definitions you have about

reality because they may be limiting you so how do you define reality let me let

me kind of share with you how I define reality I think reality's magical that's

kind of why I'm making this video because I think that reality is magical

I think that reality is is also kind of like a dream so I just define reality as

a dream because guess why when you define reality as a dream it's more

flexible if you define reality as solid and fixed and only capable of matter and

you have to measure everything everything has to be scientifically

proven if that's how you define reality then guess what your reality can only

show up in certain ways it can't be that magical because everything is the way it

is and I got to understand it from a logical point of view and I got to be

able to measure it so all of these things end up making a limited skew of

reality now so when we look at this it's like how do you define reality back to

the original question here's another powerful way of looking

at reality I think reality is kind of like a form of dream can you think that

reality's like a form of dream okay like I said I said sorry reality is like a

game here that's why I was going with that reality is like a game think of it

like a game like if something fun right you and you're playing a game it's

normally a fun game you know you can playing Sims or like you make people

walk around and go into the living room and then

remember to bring into the kitchen Oh in the kitchen you can make some you mean

somebody could take the kids school some people like that Sims or maybe you're

playing like Donkey Kong I play Donkey Kong back in the day um

that was fun life is a game life is like in it with a

game you kind of hack it - I'm not hacking like that you don't need to get

like cheat code so you could get chicos you know it's like square squared circle

circle one left one l1 and then all of a sudden you have like a tank and you're

in your Mario ores I don't know whatever and the idea behind that is that there's

ways of figuring out the game so that you do it in your favor so in a way that

makes it more fun to but if people think reality is hard and things don't come

easily and I'm the victim of circumstance

then that is going to be their reality our definitions about life itself

creates Orianna I've been talking about this a lot lately because instead of us

looking at the individual beliefs that we have about money success

relationships health instead of those individually saying I believe I can we

I can we die can I be like 10% body fat condition debt and I believe I'm gonna

let go of just one belief and instead of being like I'm gonna believe that I can

make a hundred thousand dollars a year instead of fifteen thousand dollars a

year instead of all of those beliefs what about your beliefs about reality

itself like those are individual beliefs like relationships money health

how about reality itself what are your beliefs about it so that's what I'd like

to ask you to become aware of because if you want to make your life more magical

you have to start defining life as magical and in order to experience magic

in your life like synchronicity which is a natural byproduct of the way reality

works by the way synchronicity is the understanding that everything is

happening at the same moment everything is happening right now your perception

of it can then see how these now this now moment connects together and you may

say well I was just thinking about this kind of person and this person popped

into my life I was just thinking about how I wanted to go watch this movie and

then I go somewhere and like the movies playing somebody asked me to go watch

wants me go watch it with him these little things were like oh we brush them

off like oh that's just coincidence that stuff just happens however it's a

natural byproduct for the way reality works

our thoughts correlate with experience so when we become aware of

that it becomes very powerful because then we can go in the direction that we

want and we can see that magic that's already there so things in your life can

be more magical the more you pay attention to the synchronicity not just

the coincidence all this happen everything is synchronicity it's just

how aware of you of what you're thinking most people are just in the autopilot

Minds this is where we're gonna have talked about the autopilot mind dr. Joe

Dispenza all right he's a guy that wrote a couple books one's called how to break

the habit of being yourself I saw that title in Mehsana once what someone is

reading us I'm glad to him and not be yourself don't you wanna be yourself but

his point and it's actually really good book this point in it is that who we

think we are is a habitual eyes set of thought patters it's talking about the

ego we think this is who I am this is what I can do our thoughts emotions and

actions will always be equal to our reality or our reality will be equal to

our thoughts feelings and emotions most people just stay in the autopilot

mind they're thinking the same things every day they're feeling the same

emotions every day they're doing the same actions at every day and because of

that they create the same experiences every single day now here's the thing

you cannot create anything new from that same level of thinking so the the level

of thinking that gets up on the same side of the bed every day that goes and

brushes the teeth with the same type of way thinking about similar thoughts goes

takes the same route to work goes and talks to the same coworkers have similar

conversations do some of the things everyday that habitual eyes way of

thinking it's only going to create more of the same so if you want to go beyond

that's of the ordinary to go beyond that way you think feel enact you must be

willing to go beyond all of those things and you must make the choice to do it

it's really that simple to be honest with you make the choice you say this is

my reality this is what dr. Joe Dispenza says your personality creates your

personal reality your personality is a combination of what you think how you

feel and how you act if you continue to do these three things over and over and

over again you will continue to create the same results over and over and over

again if you step outside of that by doing

something new thinking new thoughts by doing something new as well you could

take new action you can also feel something new once you do one of these

also normally the other things will link up so if you do something you've never

done before you're now thinking of new thoughts and you also feeling a little

bit of uncertainty so that kind of fearfulness comes in or that or that

excitedness comes in whatever it is but once you push through it then you've

expanded your own comfort zone you also expand your self-image think about that

if you have a self-image that says I'm only this is my box it's my personality

this is who I am and you do something beyond that you

didn't expanded your self-image if you're normally like very shy and you

feel weird about being around people and you say you know what that's like a way

of always thought fell up and acted I'm gonna go beyond that so you take a

little action you start smiling at people that you walk by you start

engaging in conversation with other people and then as you start to do that

guess what you start to change the way you see yourself

you didn't go from seeing yourself as somebody that is shy not able to talk to

be like oh I now change my self-image a little bit I've gone beyond that

personality structure of how I thought felt and act and I can now be a little

bit more open I can now be a little bit more myself and I've redefined it so

your self-image also has a powerful impact over that of the kind of reality

that you experience now reality really is meant to be something that is fun

reality is meant to be something that is a very cool experience yes there's going

to be learning in it but this is about having the awareness that reality is

what we believe to be true things in our life are self-fulfilling prophecies so

whatever you think to be true is going to be reflected back to you

so back to the first question what do you believe to be true about reality I

was going to write that but so for this process be it worth what that is I

choose here's my quote this is what I've been saying for a while the more you

realize that your life is a form of dream the more dreamlike your life will

become let me say one more time the more you realize that your life is a form of

dream is the more dreamlike your life will become the more that you re

emphasized that reality is rigid very solid the more that your reality will be

that way so how do you let go of those old beliefs by going within and knowing

who you are by Bill going in and seen what are your current self-fulfilling

prophecies and I don't even sing you have to you have to believe that life is

a dream I'm saying just let go of the belief that life is solid fixed and

things only happen if you really really try and you're a victim of circumstance

or all these other things so just be aware of what that is so how can you and

what are some practical steps you can take to make your reality more magical

you can first off start to trust the universe more if you have something

that's on your mind something that's bothering you give it up to your higher

mind the larger consciousness aspect of you and ask for a solution to come into

your life ask for something to happen ask for something to be figured out when

you go to bed at night set the intention as you're going to bed at night to

experience more of life being like a fun game dream magical set that intention

because when you go to bed at night here's the thing this is why this is

such a powerful technique when you go to bed at night you are drifting from the

more awake States into the more sleep states and the more awake States are the

Alpha state the Beta Alpha state which are the awake brainwave states and then

you go into the theta state as you're falling asleep the theta state is where

the subconscious mind is when you are drifting off to sleep that is when you

have this window of opportunity to influence the subconscious mind about a

half an hour before now the subconscious mind speaks in the form of emotion so as

you're going to bed feel the emotion of how exciting life is of how life is like

a dream of how things are more flexible than you probably thought of how magical

things are and then feel that emotion as you go to bed and watch how your life

begins to change here's the thing though you must do that consistently sometimes

be like oh the sleep technique it's really cool I did it once it got some

results but they don't do it consistently do it consistently it works

feel the emotions that you want to experience right when you are going

to bed at night as you're falling asleep and as you do that you will start to

influence your subconscious mind in a powerful way

now that's one way you could do it the other thing you could do is this is

simply become aware of what your current self images of what you are currently

thinking feeling and acting and simply make the choice to do something new that

is what dr. Joe Dispenza said is you cannot create something new from the

know you have to step onto the unknown so you have to do something you haven't

done before maybe it's something like taking some small at first I'm taking a

new route to work where it starts to rewire your brain because now you're not

just seeing the same things every day oh this is a new route to work leave a

little bit earlier see how that goes it's a little step you could take these

little steps add to momentum make the choice that you were gonna do something

that the old personality wouldn't do you may have said oh well I want to be

healthier well the current help the current version of me eats unhealthy

food will start to make a choice to go to a healthy restaurant to go to some

nutrition class to go get a gym membership that is going to reaffirm a

new reality that's gonna be into the unknown your reality will become more

magical because you're doing something the old personality wouldn't do so make

a choice to do something that you have never done before as you do all of these

things what you'll find is that then you begin to become this new version of you

reality really is meant to be magical the more that you begin to believe that

reality is magical is the more that your life will be magical because you will

start to see it in your life this is about being aware of your beliefs about

reality itself it starting to break it down you know they've even proven that

99.9% of everything that we touch in feel is made up of empty space there's a

quantum physicist that said that it's a funny thing because everything that we

think of as real is made up of non real elements and it's 99.9% space but yet it

feels very real but when you become aware of that you realize that quantum

physics also says says that the more you know about quantum physics the more you

realize that we don't know anything about reality so the reason I'm saying

all this is to help break apart your beliefs about reality so you can let go

of the things that no longer serve and you can start to wire in this new way of

being so first off just know that you want more power for the

can imagine your beliefs about reality aren't influencing your reality begin to

let go of what doesn't serve and start to embrace more of who you are you are

magical and the more you start to tap into that the more you start to act out

of the old personality you start to do and be the kind of person you prefer the

more your reality will become magical for you so with that being said if you

want that that meditation I was talking about about going to bed at night I've

made a very powerful meditation it's called the feeling is the secret which

is the name of the book that I read about that called feeling is the secret

it's a meditation that I have below it's very powerful listen to it for 21 days

and watch how your life because it change as you're going to bed at night

The 'flab jab' lets you shed fat 'WITHOUT exercise - Duration: 12:17.

Could this lead to a 'flab jab'? Experts discover a protein which triggers fat burning in the body and 'could banish the belly even WITHOUT exercise'

Turkey, chocolate and cheese will have most people feeling full around the middle this week. But scientists may have found a way to burn off your belly without lifting a finger in future - using only an injection.

Researchers discovered a protein which is naturally boosted during a workout and may be a trigger for the fat burning process.

And they now hope to try injecting the protein – named interleukin-6 – to see if it can burn off flab without any exercise at all.

Scientists from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark said interleukin-6 is a 'signalling molecule', which helps the body's cells to communicate. It is thought to be what tells the body to start burning energy stored in fat when someone is exercising.

When study participants took a medicine to stop the action of interleukin-6, it stopped their bodies burning belly fat during exercise.

So the researchers suggested injecting the molecule to raise levels of it – the effect working out has – could trigger fat burning, even if someone is sitting on the sofa.

'We need a more in-depth understanding of this role of interleukin-6,' said study author and PhD student Anne-Sophie Wedell-Neergaard.

The fat studied by Ms Wedell-Neergaard and her team was visceral fat – that which builds up around the internal organs and can trigger disease.

People taking the interleukin-6 blocking drug ended up with higher cholesterol, suggesting the protein could also be used for people with high cholesterol levels.

But the researchers said their discovery was no excuse for people to sit around waiting for a miracle jab, and urged people to be active. 'The take home for the general audience is "do exercise",' Ms Wedell-Neergaard said.

'We all know exercise promotes better health, and now we also know regular exercise training reduces abdominal fat mass and thereby potentially also the risk of developing diseases. The scientists suspected interleukin-6 was involved in losing fat because it regulates energy metabolism.

It also stimulates the breakdown of fats in healthy people, and is released from skeletal muscle during exercise. But unhealthy people – such as those with severe obesity, type 2 diabetes and heart disease – also have naturally higher levels of interleukin-6.

And it is believed to be a trigger of painful swelling in people with rheumatoid arthritis, suggesting it has negative effects on the body as well as fat loss. 'The pathways in immune cells versus muscle cells differ substantially,' added Ms Wedell-Neergaard.

'So interleukin-6 may act differently in healthy and diseased people. In the 53-person study, the researchers compared the effects of exercise between people who were given interleukin-6 blockers and those who weren't.

They found people without the drugs lost eight per cent of the fat around their organs, whereas those taking the protein-blocker gained fat instead.

The researchers want to, in future, test if interleukin-6 decides whether the body burns fat or carbohydrates for energy. The study was published in the journal Cell Metabolism.

WHAT IS THE GLOBAL OBESITY CRISIS?. Almost a quarter of the world's population will be obese in less than 30 years, according to research published in May.

If obesity trends continue, 22 per cent of people around the world will be severely overweight by 2045, up from 14 per cent last year, a study found.

One in eight people, rather than today's one in 11, are also expected to develop type 2 diabetes, the research adds.

Lead author Dr Alan Moses, from the Denmark-based pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk, said: 'These numbers underline the staggering challenge the world will face in the future in terms of numbers of people who are obese, or have type 2 diabetes, or both.

'As well as the medical challenges these people will face, the costs to countries' health systems will be enormous.

People with type 2 diabetes have an average life expectancy of just 55 due to them being at a much higher risk of heart attacks, stroke and kidney disease.

Tam Fry, a health campaigner from the National Obesity Forum said the findings were 'desperately sad'. Turkey, chocolate and cheese will have most people feeling full around the middle this week.

But scientists may have found a way to burn off your belly without lifting a finger in future - using only an injection.

Researchers discovered a protein which is naturally boosted during a workout and may be a trigger for the fat burning process.

And they now hope to try injecting the protein – named interleukin-6 – to see if it can burn off flab without any exercise at all.

Scientists from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark said interleukin-6 is a 'signalling molecule', which helps the body's cells to communicate. It is thought to be what tells the body to start burning energy stored in fat when someone is exercising.

When study participants took a medicine to stop the action of interleukin-6, it stopped their bodies burning belly fat during exercise.

So the researchers suggested injecting the molecule to raise levels of it – the effect working out has – could trigger fat burning, even if someone is sitting on the sofa.

'We need a more in-depth understanding of this role of interleukin-6,' said study author and PhD student Anne-Sophie Wedell-Neergaard.

The fat studied by Ms Wedell-Neergaard and her team was visceral fat – that which builds up around the internal organs and can trigger disease.

People taking the interleukin-6 blocking drug ended up with higher cholesterol, suggesting the protein could also be used for people with high cholesterol levels.

But the researchers said their discovery was no excuse for people to sit around waiting for a miracle jab, and urged people to be active. 'The take home for the general audience is "do exercise",' Ms Wedell-Neergaard said.

'We all know exercise promotes better health, and now we also know regular exercise training reduces abdominal fat mass and thereby potentially also the risk of developing diseases. The scientists suspected interleukin-6 was involved in losing fat because it regulates energy metabolism.

It also stimulates the breakdown of fats in healthy people, and is released from skeletal muscle during exercise. But unhealthy people – such as those with severe obesity, type 2 diabetes and heart disease – also have naturally higher levels of interleukin-6.

And it is believed to be a trigger of painful swelling in people with rheumatoid arthritis, suggesting it has negative effects on the body as well as fat loss. 'The pathways in immune cells versus muscle cells differ substantially,' added Ms Wedell-Neergaard.

'So interleukin-6 may act differently in healthy and diseased people. In the 53-person study, the researchers compared the effects of exercise between people who were given interleukin-6 blockers and those who weren't.

They found people without the drugs lost eight per cent of the fat around their organs, whereas those taking the protein-blocker gained fat instead.

The researchers want to, in future, test if interleukin-6 decides whether the body burns fat or carbohydrates for energy. The study was published in the journal Cell Metabolism.

Register Now: Organizing Your Board to Get Things Done - Duration: 6:40.

Hello everyone! Elizabeth here with Foundation Center and I'm joined today

by Dart Westphal, assistant consultant at the Support Center. He'll be our presenter

for our January 17th webinar where we will be discussing how to organize your board

to get things done. So firstly, I wanted to say thank you Dart for joining us

today we're very excited to have you. You're very welcome!

With that, what's one thing that our participants will be able to do right

after the webinar to get started in terms of conversations with their board

when they're thinking about its actual structure? Looking at your board and

evaluating your board in a clear and coherent way is the first step that

people need to take and we will provide some tools and some ways to do that and

some advice on how to examine what your board is doing and make sure that it's

what your organization needs both for what the organization is but also at

this particular time in the life cycle or history of your organization

understanding what your board is about what it's really doing you know one of

the things we talk about is that there's what you say you do, there is what you actually do,

and then there's best practices. Sometimes those things are all different

and understanding that your bylaws and the way you're set up would lead one

to expect you're doing thing A but in reality you're doing thing B and you'd

probably be better off if you did thing C. So getting through that kind of an

evaluation is something people can do right after the webinar. Fair enough.

Think through it, evaluate and figure out the next step. And Dart I wanted to

ask you what is your experience with board development work and how will this

inform the webinar content? Well I think one of the tools that we're going to try

to provide for people is a way of assessing not evaluating but just

assessing the board. What kinds of skills do you need for your organization

and what have you got and what do you need to bring on? Then the second thing

is that much like fundraising developing your board through finding

new board members that's one thing one does in developing a board is similar in

that you want to spend more time identifying and cultivating people than

asking them so you want to go through a process of finding out who your friends

are. You need to get people who already know and love you to be on your board

rather than casting about for the friend of a friend that might be interested in

doing something with a not-for-profit and might know something about your

mission. Being really clear about who the candidates are and having them be

involved in your group before you ask them to join the board is an important

way to go. You'll get stronger people that way. The second thing is where the

existing board members are. Evaluating the board as well as assessing what kind

of skills you might want. Where are you now and see if it adds value to your

organization, if it's what your organization needs. If you're following

the basics: that you have the committees, if you're reading the 990. If

you're doing all of that basic stuff and then secondly some other things that

we'll talk about in terms of planning and program monitoring and figuring out

what the board's real role is about all those things. Yeah definitely making sure

that any new board members that you bring on are passionate about the

mission because that will inform the way the board functions and what its

priorities are. I think that's very very good advice and I think definitely

speaks to what we actually will be covering during the webinar itself. I

also wanted to ask you about potential handouts that we will be providing what

will be the tangible takeaways that participants will be able to bring back

to the office? Whether that's a checklist or a template of sorts--what will we be

providing them? Well that's it's the two things about assessing and evaluating

your board what do you need there'll be templates and and matrices

to look at who's on your board now what skills do they have what skills do you

need going forward? Maybe it's different. You know it doesn't mean you've done

anything wrong just because you have to change. The world might have changed

around you and you need different skills now than you might have needed when you were a

founding board, before you did a lot of fundraising as a board. Boards

have life cycles just like organizations so assessing what you need there and

then some tools for evaluating your board the kinds of things that are

important that are good indicators that the board is is doing the right things

and is helping the organization as much as it can and we'll have tools about that

as well. And then some suggestions about actual structure: the kinds of committees

which kinds of committees might have existed years ago but are becoming less

important now and which ones are coming more to the fore as not-for-profit world

changes and the whole world changes. Great, and I always like our audience to get to

know our presenters a little bit better and as real individual humans joining us

for a real conversation so I wanted to ask you Dart what is your favorite place

in the world? Well I couldn't pick only one I had to

think of a few and they're all...it's funny I work in New York City and here we are in

this urban environment all the time so thinking about places that are farther

away is really important and the most beautiful places I've ever been

are western Montana, the mountains of Colombia in South America the

valleys between the mountain ranges in Colombia are totally spectacular and

New Zealand and I'm prejudiced because my mother was born there so really a

fan of how beautiful New Zealand is. But those are really beautiful places. I'll have to add

them to my list. Colombia is definitely on the top of my list so maybe I'll have

to prioritize that in the coming months! I wanted to say thank you Dart for

how to actually create efficient governance within the actual board

structure I wanted to let participants know as

in the blood plasma to cells where they're assimilated and the indigestible

waste passes into the large intestine. The colon reabsorbs water and

electrolytes, the rectum stores the faeces until you can make it to the toilet and

the faeces is then egested through the anus. Cholera is a bacterial infection

from dirty water which causes chloride ions to increase in the small intestine,

forcing water out of the blood plasma by osmosis and causing dehydration and

How to install a DIY business card holder - Bounce House Tutorial - Duration: 2:02.

Today I'm going to be showing you how to apply a do-it-yourself business card holder onto

your inflatable.

So this piece of vinyl right here represents the column you are applying this to.

You want to do this while the inflatable is deflated and flat and this is going to represent

that surface so as long as it's flat you're ready to go.

And then just follow along with these steps.

So the first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to round off these corners by trimming

them.

This just helps to keep the patch from peeling off and it will make it last a lot longer.

Next, I'm going to take a white pencil or any erasable pencil, and I'm going to trace

the edges of the card holder.

I'm tracing it where I want to apply it on the moonwalk.

Ok, now that it's traced we're going to apply glue both to the moonwalk and to the card

holder.

So I'm just going to use this vinyl cement glue and cover the traced area.

It doesn't have to be a very thick layer of glue.

But you do want to overlap the traced area just a little bit so that you make sure that

the entire patch is covered with the glue.

And then I'm going to do the same thing to the card holder on the back.

You just want to make sure to get all around the edges of the patch so that everything

is covered.

Ok now both areas are covered in glue.

You want to make sure not to apply this immediately.

You want to let the glue dry for a minute or two until it becomes tacky and it'll be

a little cloudy by the time it's ready to apply and so when that happens we're going

to put this on.

Ok, the glue is a little bit tacky and so we're ready to apply it.

So we're just going to follow that traced area that we already put down and place the

patch onto the moonwalk.

And then once you lay it all flat just make sure to apply pressure to it for five to ten

minutes until the glue dries.

Ok, the glue should be dry now so once it's dry you now have a finished, ready to go,

business card holder on your moonwalk.
