I love this question that someone texted me recently.
They said, "What do you suggest to people so they're not overwhelmed by reading the Bible?"
If you ever tried to read the Bible cover-to-cover,
I mean, we've got to tell God that this is not the easiest book to read.
And it's true.
Someone once said the Bible is kind of like the ocean.
There are parts of it that are so deep,
that the most skilled expert divers can't get to the bottom of it.
And there are parts that are so shallow
that a little toddler can splash and laugh and enjoy the water as well.
One of the problems of reading the Bible cover-to-cover
is that you get all of it.
You get the shallow things like God loves you,
and you get the deep doctrines that go over your head,
and the names that you can't pronounce.
So, what advice would I give to someone?
I would say two things.
Number one is to come in with good expectations.
Don't expect to understand everything.
Why are they killing animals in the book of Leviticus?
Why is there a special tabernacle or tent?
Who are the apostles and what's a eunuch?
Feel free to write down all the questions that you have,
but don't feel bad if you don't get it.
God's just building a great foundation for the rest of your life.
And the second thing I would say
is to rely on the "We" version.
You know what I mean by that?
There's a really popular Bible app called the "YouVersion."
Millions and millions of people have downloaded it.
But what I like to call the "We version" is when you read the Bible,
not just by yourself,
but in community with other people.
So, as you're reading through and say,
"I don't get this," and "I have no clue who that is,"
ask your questions to someone at your church,
your pastor, your small group, people that are a little bit further down the road.
They would love to share the knowledge that God has taught them with you.
But in the end, I want you to read the Bible.
And here's why.
Jesus said this is the book that talks about him.
Romans 10 says that faith comes from hearing this message.
In this next year, working through the Bible might be really difficult.
And you might get 2% of it.
But if you stick with it,
for the rest of your life you will have a source of power, a source of hope,
source of peace.
And the number one thing the devil wants to do
is disconnect you from the outlet of God's power
so that for the rest of your life you don't have anything that endures forever.
So stick with it.
Don't give up.
Have good expectations.
Rely on those around you.
And believe what God said,
that every word that comes from his mouth will not return empty,
but will achieve the purpose for which he sent it.
God bless you as you get to know God in this book.
If you're comfortable reading the Bible, help us.
So many people feel overwhelmed when they first open God's Word.
So what did you do and how did you learn?
How did you grasp the basics of the scripture so that you came to enjoy it
instead of being overwhelmed by it?
Comment below so that we can teach one another
and we'll see you next time.

If you feel you are getting oppressed, WATCH this - Duration: 7:10.
hey guys Stacey so today I actually want to make a video on when you feel if any
of you feel that you've ever gone through oppression in your lives
I would really want you to watch this video I think it's an important video
and I'll get into it now so this world is in the Battle of evil
and good this world reigns on basically evil
everything's been turned upside down and so God's people are the ones that
tend to get oppressed and I want you guys to watch this video for that
purpose if this that's why you clicked on this video and it's probably because
you probably go through oppression yourselves and it's most likely because
you're God's God's children we're all supposedly God's children but not
everyone is actually not that God doesn't actually call everyone to him so
I want to focus on two Bible verses today well three there's one that says
dear brothers and sisters when troubles of any kind come your way consider it an
opportunity for great joy that's actually James it's hard sometimes to be
in this world and see all things coming to pass you by and all these things that
are coming to pass you by or you might not be fond of all these things
sometimes your heart breaks sometimes you just don't be okay
sometimes you feel like you're being pushed to your limit sometimes it all
becomes too much sometimes you ever know what to do sometimes you don't know
we'll return to the person you can start until is God this Bible verse right here
tells you I will repeat it again dear brothers and sisters when troubles of
any kind come your way consider it an opportunity for a great joy I as a
Christian myself have been practicing this I've been trying to practice this
this video is all about oppression so when that happens to me I try to think I
try to go back to the I borders I'm like no this is good this is a good thing
thank you God thank you thank you thank you
be with me God be with me be with me be with me I can't I can't do this on my
own god I tried to call on him like that and another verse that I would like to
actually read for you guys today and talk I thought also is this one and it
goes finally finally all of you should be of one mind sympathize with each
other we love each other as brothers and sisters be tender-hearted and keep a
humble attitude don't repay evil for evil don't retaliate with insults when
people insult you instead pay them back with a blessing that is what God has
called you to do and he will grant you with his blessing this is only a part of
the scripture from 1 Peter but in those verses right there in those sentences
right there it basically tells you
basically and sum it up to love everybody be kind to everybody no matter
who I gets thrown your way don't let that affect you I mean you could you may
be affected by it because it's hard sometimes but we just have to realize
that this isn't what's in the Bible it's telling us keep a humble attitude don't
repaint evil for evil instead pay them back with a blessing this is what I've
been trying to practice and I know it's hard sometimes it is I just call my god
and like God hey give this to you I surround the
situation to you I turn these people into you Father God I worry no longer I
turn it into you and one more verse that I want to go over right now is this last
one which is from James God blesses those who patiently endured testing and
sensation so basically that says that if you're going through all this oppression
all this persecution all this tyranny all of this unfairness it's all a part
of his plan this is all stated in the Bible this is already written in the
Bible and so if you're feeling all of this happening to you it's anything out
of the ordinary this is supposed to happen and you may hurt but just stay
strong I'll post more Bible verses for you and
explanations just like this one I hope you guys liked this video go ahead and
like it and subscribe in the button below so you could see more videos that
I decide to do and yeah I'll talk to you guys later

Nextdoor To Get More House Cleaning Leads - Duration: 6:47.
Hi there, I'm Angela Brown and this is Ask a House Cleaner.
This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question
and I get to help you find an answer.
Today's question comes from a house cleaner who's looking to market her business.
And she's looking for some word-of-mouth referrals.
And she wants to know "How do I use the Nextdoor app?"
Okay, so I love Nextdoor.
Nextdoor brought me more business than I've ever seen from any one particular referral
app and I love Nextdoor.
So, if you don't know about Nextdoor – http://nextdoor.com
Basically, what it is, it's a neighborhood app where you go on the neighborhood app when
you type in your address.
When you type in your address.
It pulls up your neighborhood and it says: "Oh, we know your neighbors.
Do you know so and so?
And you click "yes, I do".
And it links you to those neighbors.
And so now you have a whole neighborhood of people that you live near.
And you can refer things back and forth to each other.
So, let's say for example that you are looking to hire house cleaner.
So, you can go on Nextdoor and say "ISO" which means "In Search Of" a house cleaner
and it will pull up the neighborhood that you live in.
So, let's say that you live in the Averly neighborhood, it will say Averly.
And then all the Averly neighborhoods get… all of the neighbors get an alert that someone
just posted something in your neighborhood.
So, you say Hey I'm in search of a house cleaner.
Now any of the people that live in the Averly neighborhood can type in and say "Oh, my
goodness, I have a house cleaner that comes
and she's really amazing and here's what she does…"
And then they say "Oh, it's Susan Peterson.
And here's Susan's phone number and she's very reasonably priced, and she's very reliable,
and I like her for all of these reasons."
Now, anyone in the Averly neighborhood can get that referral and they can call
Susan Peterson for house cleaning, right?
Now there are a lot of connections from Nextdoor that bleed over into the neighborhood on the
other side, and the neighborhood over here to where you can actually access the referrals
from nearby neighborhoods.
So as a house cleaner how do you use this?
Because unless you're working in your own neighborhood you're going to be relying on
the neighbors and the neighborhoods that you work in.
So, here's how you make a Nextdoor work for you.
It's not about the neighborhood you live in unless you cleaning your own neighborhood.
It's about the neighborhood that your clients live in.
So, if you're listening to this show and you are you hire house cleaners.
This is good news for you because you can go on Nextdoor and you can leave a recommendation
for your plumber, for your painter, for your sprinkler guy, for your house cleaner.
Anyone that has provided a service to you whether it's a pet sitter or a dog walker,
or a babysitter, whatever it could be a soccer coach it doesn't matter.
You can leave a referral.
And all of your neighbors have access to that.
It's completely free it's an awesome tool.
But here's what happens; It's like paying it forward.
It's like blessing the life of the person who's come in and blessed your life.
Because when you post that on the neighborhood app.
They're going to get a whole bunch of business from people who need that same service.
Here's a perfect example; I have a leak in my roof.
And one day it just started leaking for no reason.
And I had to get a little bucket and had to put it under there.
And then, of course, every time the rain would drip
it would make noise.
And that annoyed me, and I had to put a little towel in there
so that it would hit the towel and it wouldn't make the noise.
Crazy stuff.
So, I went on Nextdoor and I said I'm in search of a roof repair guy.
And right in that same app, someone said: "I have a little leak in my roof I don't
need a whole new roof I just need somebody to come over and fix a little leak because
I have a leak when it rains."
And I was like "me too, that's me too."
Okay, so, by jumping on that neighborhood app what happened was we were able to find
referrals from our neighbors.
Who said listen I'm a repair guy and I fix small leaks in roofs.
Because you both live in the same neighborhood I'm going to come over and I'll give you both
a discount because I'll come on the same day.
So, what you can do is you can partner with other neighbors who have that house cleaning
service come in on the same day.
So that the house cleaner isn't driving 40 minutes between houses all across town.
She's coming to your neighborhood and she'll work your neighborhood
or he'll work your neighborhood.
And because you added referrals maybe he gives you a discount.
Maybe gives you a gift.
Maybe he gives you a referral fee.
I don't know how he runs his business.
But when you partner your house cleaner by giving them referrals with other people in
your neighborhood now guess what?
They're not going to call and cancel on you because they're already in your neighborhood.
They're already there helping your other neighbors, right?
So, this is the beauty of Nextdoor.
This is how you get more referrals as a house cleaner.
And as a homeowner, this is how you guarantee that your house cleaner stays your house cleaner.
So, if they're super good and you don't want to lose them, if you give them referrals what
you're doing is your guaranteeing, you are ensuring that they stay in your neighborhood.
If something happens and you need them to come back and you know affect the satisfaction
guarantee, they're in your neighborhood.
"Yeah, I'll just run right over.
I've got one house, I'll be done in 10 minutes.
I'll come right over and I'll tidy that up whatever it was that we missed."
So, it helps everybody.
So, if you're new to Nextdoor - http://nextdoor.com It's an amazing app.
And if you are a house cleaner it's a great way to get new business.
So, ask your customers if they haven't already.
"Hey, is there anything I can do to improve my service?"
And if they say "No, you're amazing."
"Great.
Is there any way you can jump on Nextdoor and tell your neighbors about me?"
You don't want them to tell their friends because their friends live two miles away
or 10 miles away.
You want them to tell their neighbors because their neighbors live Nextdoor.
And when you're done cleaning their house you want to go nextdoor, right?
So, it's a beautiful way to pick up a whole bunch of new business so https://nextdoor.com
And that's my tip for today.
And until we meet again, leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

Equity in vs Equity OUT! #MViP - Duration: 1:46.
- Hello, my name is Juan Moreno.
I am the CEO of MViP,
and welcome to Thursday's two-minute drill.
So, here you have a person,
I actually have a lot of good friends and clients
that have this scenario.
They actually own a house, maybe it's a second investment,
where they have equity in the house.
In this case, they have $200,000 equity
that's not doing much for them.
You know, basically underneath the house,
and they're making about $400 a month off of the rent,
but what happens is, the tenants leave,
obviously they have to go in there
and fix the whole house again,
and the rent doesn't get,
you can't up it as much as you normally would,
if you have a multiplex.
So, one of my big advice that I give them
is to, essentially, if they're able to sell the house,
you can then take out the $200,000 in equity
and use it to buy a multiplex.
Okay, this multiplex, depending on where you buy it,
the location, how many units, how many rooms and all that,
you could get about up to $1600 a month of income
versus your $400 a month of income,
and you still have your $200,000 in equity.
How does that work?
Obviously, here the $200,000 is nothing,
it's just pixie dust essentially,
but here you actually made it work for yourself
and with that $200,000, and this number, believe me,
is probably a little bit lower than I would like to say,
but something that I know that we've done before.
So, yeah, thank you very much for seeing this video.
Here's my information, and I'll see you on the other side.

A few thoughts for David Ruessel (Kampfkunst Lifestyle) - Duration: 3:43.
David!
You are too young
To understand the reality.
I have been on the Reeperbahn in Hamburg
and in Potsdamer Straße in Berlin
long before you were born.
And had coffee, sitting together at one table, with the boys from there.
Are you really willing to judge me,
my knowledge and my experiences
based on your reality?
That's a joke, right?
Just between us ..
I got a migraine
and headache from your video
Not from your arrogant entertainment and blah-blah
But from you
selling street-fighting as self-defense in public
I know both
Therefore I can spot the difference
You encounter a self-defense situation
with a fighting stance
That means you provoke and start a fight
I am sorry, but I can't see any
justification for a legitimate act of self-defense therein
You say, in a knife-defense situation
it is better to run away
But in your video you prepare to a fight the opponent
Who shall buy, that this is self-defense?
I .. absolutely not!
You show your elaborated
counter-reactions in fighting situation
with heroic self-glorification
But all real self-defenses
or acts of self-defense are based
solely on spontaneous reflexes, hello?
Don't you know that?
Hey David
worldwide
real knife attacks happen
with the intention to kill
What you show
is young rowdies
flailing with child knives
If you had any street experience
you would know
that you never
go with bare hands into a knife fight
Street-fighting is different
I hope
you will never have to experience that
My David
On the street, in an emergency situation
The general rule is
taking injuries is better
than a defenceless death
If you understand this
You can stop whining
I'm a looser
so what?
I don't care
If you don't see the difference between knowledge and skill
It is your childish problem
This is so not my concern!
David
be safe and happy
in your children's playground
amongst children
For serious reality
you still need
lots of time
I personally
have fought, what there is to fight
I have experienced, what there is to experience
I am just a simple teacher
nothing more
The question is simple ..
Who are you?
