Hey, Pixels!

In this week's tutorial, I'll be showing you how to code a responsive full page background

image in CSS3.

This responsive background image will fit the entire width and height of your web browser,

without any scrollbars.

If you've ever wanted to really impact your audience with your photography, or an image

that you really want to showcase on your website, this responsive full page background image

that you can place on your website is just the thing you need.

Be sure to visit my blog, xopixel.com, to see all the code and source files used in

this tutorial.

Now, let's start coding!

First, we're going to write some really simple code between the body tags

All we're going to do is create a div with the class "text-container"

Within the div, we're going to use the h1 tag and write some text "go big or go home"

I think this best represents this tutorial!"

That's it for the HTML, now let's head on over to our CSS file and apply some styles

First, we're going to apply the most important lines of code in this tutorial.

We're going to select the entire page by selecting the HTML tag

Then, we're going to grab our background image using the background tag

We'll be using the no-repeat center and fixed values to make sure the image doesn't

repeat, is always centered, and its position doesn't move on the page

Then we're just going declare some browser support properties and then finally, we're

going to use the background-size: cover declaration which is going to make our responsive full

page background image I wanted to add some big text to the image

to make it ever more impactful.

Let's select the text-container and set it's width to 960px.

I'm going to set it's position to absolute and then position it on the page so that it's

in the middle but also mostly to the left of the page

Lastly, I'm just going to style the h1 text.

I'm using the Google font Roboto for the heading text.

I want it to be really big so I set its font size to 156px.

I also added some shadow to the text using the text-shadow property and I used the text-transform:

uppercase declaration so that the text will always be in uppercase.

So there you have it.

You've just coded a responsive full page background image using some cool CSS3 properties.

Give this video a big thumbs up if you liked it.

10 Popular Stars Who Started In Movies As Interns - Duration: 7:44.

Internships may not always seem like the most exciting way to start a career but even celebrities

have used interning as a stepping stone to become a major star.

Whether it be through family connections, university networking, or pure determination,

these 10 celebrities paid their dues.

Here are 10 Successful Stars who Started out as Interns.

After you hear our list, let us know what you think in the comments below and be sure

to subscribe to the Screen Rant channel.

Aubrey Plaza Aubrey Plaza's disinterested demeanor for

which she is best known, may be ideal for her comedic styling but for her time as an

intern for multiple companies, her unique personality was met with varying results.

One of her first internships was for Post-Its which required her to do menial tasks such

as wallpapering an entire bathroom with the sticky notes.

Plaza was also given internships related to her chosen career field.

Along with working as an assistant for short films, and as an intern for the comedy troupe

The Upright Citizen's Brigade, Plaza was also given a job as an NBC page and spent

much of her time on the Saturday Night Live stage where her future Parks and Recreation

co-star Amy Poehler had the privilege of seeing Plaza in action.

In a 2006 episode of 30 Rock, Plaza played an NBC page, which allowed her to combine

her behind the scenes gig with her acting aspirations.

Steven Spielberg Steven Spielberg is a film industry icon who

has directed some of the most beloved films in the last four decades.

Accomplishing such success relied heavily on his own dedication and passion for the

film industry and the magic of movies.

After being rejected from USC film school but before dropping out of California State

University, Long Beach, Spielberg was given an internship at Universal Studios.

After he was no longer a student and had completed his own short film, he continued to find ways

to sneak into the studio lot and held a position that was not exactly an official internship

which allowed him to gain access to watch filmmakers in action.

His time at Universal enabled him to get his short film "Amblin" viewed by the studio

vice president which scored him a directing contract.

Oprah Winfrey Oprah Winfrey is one of the most powerful

celebrities in history, but she wasn't always the media mogul she is today.

Even Oprah had to pay her dues by being an intern.

After college, she started her career in broadcasting interning for a CBS affiliate in Nashville.

The internship didn't last long as she was promoted to news anchor.

She was the youngest and first African American news anchor for WLAC-TV.

She went from one news job to the next, and scored her first talk show with 1978's People

are Talking.

Eight years later, she landed her very own show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, which made her

a household name.

Anderson Cooper For what may be the most impressive internship

on the list, Anderson Cooper scored an unpaid position for the CIA for two summers during

college.

One can assume that with a writer father and a fashion designer and heiress Gloria Vanderbilt

as a mother, networking was probably not much of an issue for the CNN journalist.

During his time as a student at Yale University, Cooper interned for the government agency.

As enticing as taking a position at the Central Intelligence Agency after college may have

been, Anderson decided to become a journalist instead stating he was a news junkie his entire

life and would be much more adept to working in the newsroom instead of being employed

by the federal government.

After more than two decades of success as an award-winning journalist, Anderson obviously

made a wise decision.

Mindy Kaling Before Mindy Kaling headlined her own television

show and became a New York Time's Bestselling author, she was an intern for Late Night with

Conan O'Brien.

As a nineteen-year-old college sophomore, she was thrilled to have scored what she believed

was a glamorous internship with one of her comedy idols.

However, Kaling wasn't exactly the best intern as she wasn't completely willing

to complete the tasks assigned to her.

Rather than doing the basic duties of an intern such as filing and photocopying, the actress

did her best to follow O'Brien around to see him in action.

Working with her hero was much more important to her and she found everything else to be

a waste of time.

Luckily, her career did not depend on the success of her short time at Late Night.

After college, Kaling and her roommate did their own comedy writing by composing the

stage play, "Matt and Ben", which led to a staff writing job on The Office.

Not too bad for a less than stellar intern.

John Krasinski Mindy Kaling isn't the only alum from The

Office who started out as an intern for Conan O'Brien.

However, John Krasinski was given much more to do during his time as an unpaid worker.

During his summer break from Brown University, the future Jim Halpert worked as a script

intern for Late Night.

Krasinski has stated that his time at the funnyman's show was an invaluable experience.

He was able to parlay his intern skills as not only a successful comedic and dramatic

actor in film and television but also as a screenwriter for films such as Promised Land

and the film adaptation of David Foster Wallace's short story collection, Brief Interviews with

Hideous Men.

Diddy Puff Daddy, P. Diddy, and Diddy are just a

few of the names Sean Combs has been known for but his many titles do not even compare

the to the countless positions and titles he has obtained in his career.

The rapper, actor, producer, and entrepreneur among other things, started out as an intern.

After two years attending Howard University, Combs dropped out of school in favor of an

internship with Uptown Records in New York City.

The business mogul had a reputation in college for throwing outlandish and memorable parties

which served him well in the music community.

During his internship, he worked with up and coming artists like Mary J. Blige.

He was signed on for an official job at Uptown but was fired not long after, which prompted

him to create his own company, Bad Boy Entertainment.

Tom Hanks With five Academy Award nominations and two

wins, Tom Hanks has established himself as a talented actor who has a knack for choosing

the right roles.

Before he proved his dramatic ability, the 1980s were filled with wacky film comedies

and becoming a titular bosom buddy on the small screen.

In the previous decade, Hanks honed his craft by working as an intern for the Great Lakes

Theatre Festival in Cleveland, Ohio.

For three years, Hanks did a little bit of everything to help out the festival including

set design, lighting, and stage management.

With so much of his time allotted for the festival, Hanks ended up dropping out college

at California State University, Sacramento in favor of experience.

Obviously, it was the right choice for one of the biggest movie stars ever.

Donald Glover Donald Glover may be best known as Troy Barnes

from NBC's Community or as his rapping stage name Childish Gambino but the talented writer,

actor and comedian has been plugging away in the industry for years despite his youth.

While attending New York University, Glover worked as a summer intern for Comedy Central.

For some, internships can be a performer's ticket to fame and success but for Glover,

it was NYU's sketch comedy group Derrick Comedy which caught the attention of Tina

Fey and resulted in a staff writing job for 30 Rock at the age of 23, which makes this

particular performer's time as an intern appear slightly less exciting compared to

the others on our list.

Olivia Munn Long before Olivia Munn was brandishing her

telekinetic Katana as Psylocke in X-Men Apocalypse she was an intern at an NBC affiliate for

Tulsa.

After receiving a degree in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma, Tulsa was only

her first stop as an intern.

In 2004, Munn made her way to Los Angeles to pursue acting but found an internship with

Fox Sports.

The internship led to a paid reporter job for the network but even with a background

in journalism, the gig didn't sit right with the actress who hated working in live

television.

Preferring to follow her passion rather than continuing her work as a reporter, Munn segued

toward an acting career by way of direct-to-dvd films and ultimately found success in major

movies and appropriately enough, HBO's The Newsroom.

That was our list.

Jeep Wrangler Rugged Ridge XHD Modular Snorkel Kit (2007-2017 JK) Review - Duration: 8:56.

I'm Ryan from extremeterrain.com, and this is my review of the Rugged Ridge XHD Modular

Snorkel Kit, fitting all 2007 and of JKs.

There are a couple of different versions of this snorkel kit available, depending on which

engine you have in your jeep, so make sure you get the right one for your year.

There are also a couple of different configurations of this snorkel.

Because, of course, this is a modular kit, where you see in front of me includes just

the low-mount.

However, the high-mount is available with or without the pre-filter, and you can also

purchase the pre-filter separately, and then there is a kit that comes with the high-mount

and the low-mount, and really all of the pieces, all in one box for you as well, if you decided

to go that route.

This installation is going to be a three out of three wrenches.

There is going to be a good bit of cutting, grinding and drilling involved in installing

this in your jeep.

However, Rugged Ridge does have the forethought to provide a bracket, to reinstall all of

your factory body panels in their factory location, if you were ever to get rid of the

snorkel kit, so that is a nice feature, but we'll talk a little but more about the installation

in a bit.

We're also gonna talk through the construction in a few of the features of the system.

The basic reason to run a snorkel on your jeep, is to raise up the air intake allowing

you to do deeper water crossings, without the risk of sucking water into the engine.

Having water in the engine will hydro lock the motor, which can cause a lot of damage,

and possibly even replacing the motor.

So, if you are going to do some deep water crossings, a snorkel is a good idea.

And if you're going to run a snorkel, you need to know that it's going to work, and

it's not going to have a lot of different pieces that snap together, that aren't watertight,

and still going to let water into your engine.

So in my opinion, if you are running a snorkel, because you're going to use it for its intended

purpose off-road, you're gonna want to spend a little bit of money, and get a good one

that you know is going to work.

Now, there are a lot of you out there that just want to run a snorkel, because you like

the way it looks.

And if that's the case there are some less expensive options than this one on the market.

Or there are some of you that just want to run a snorkel because it's a true cold air

intake.

This will draw engine air from outside of the engine compartment, giving you fresh,

cool, clean air, which can help with the performance of it.

And if that's your reason for running a snorkel, again, you can go with one of the less expensive

snorkels than this one.

But if you are gonna do some deep water crossings, and you want to spend a little bit of money

and make sure you get one that is going to keep water out of the engine, like this one.

Now, I really like this kit in particular from Rugged Ridge because it is modular.

I'm one of the people out there that doesn't love the look of a snorkel going up the A-pillar

of your jeep.

With this modular what it allows you to do is run the low-mount, which is still visible

but not nearly as much as a high-mount.

You can run this on the street, or you can run this when you're running trails that are

fairly dry, but with a couple of screws, you can remove the low mounts, and snap the high-mount

into place, and you have an extra degree of protection if you do plan on doing some deeper

water crossings.

Now, I mentioned that there are some less expensive options of snorkels out there on

the market, if you're not really going to be using it for its intended purpose of deep

water crossings.

As far as other snorkels that are well-built, are water tight and are ready to do those

deep water crossings, this one isn't that much more expensive than the tough tier snorkels

on the market.

And to gain the ability to have the modular system that allows you to run the low-mount,

I think that this is a pretty good deal.

This kit does include all of the components you're going to need to get it installed.

starting at the factory air box, this is the new lower section with a new molded intake

built right into it that's going to attach to the silicon pipe, the aluminum pipe, all

the way out to, of course, the snorkel section.

Now, this snorkel piece runs on the inside of your fender, and the top portion that you

actually see replaces the corner cowl on your jeep.

So again, it is very low profile.

It doesn't take up a lot of space.

It doesn't run all the way up to your A-pillar until you snap that high-mount into place

when you need that functionality.

Overall, this is a one-piece molded plastic which, again, that's what I talked about before,

getting rid of any additional joints that can let water in, this is going to be very,

very functional.

This is designed with a U-shape pear[SP] on the intake and it has a drain in the bottom.

So if you were to splash any water up into your low-mount or even into your high-mount,

if you went that deep, it would be able to drain out before getting into your factory

air box.

So the factory air box also is designed to drain any water out that you may get in.

So you do have redundant safety measures built in, doing everything possible to keep water

out of your engine which, of course, can be catastrophic.

As far as the installation is concerned, as I said before, this is a three out of three

wrench installation.

This does require a good bit of modification to your jeep.

Now, all of that being said, Rugged Ridge does provide you with a bracket, so that even

though you're cutting, and drilling, and making modifications to your jeep, if you ever got

rid of this snorkel kit, you would be able to reinstall that factory cowl corner piece,

because of the bracket included.

It's a really nice feature from Rugged Ridge.

Oftentimes, when you do those permanent modifications to your jeep, there's no way back with the

bracket that they include.

You can return back to factory which again is something I really like.

Either way, the installation does require a lot of cutting and drilling, so if that

something you're not comfortable with, there is no shame in taking this to a shop and having

them install it in your jeep.

The first step in the installation is actually loosening and partially removing your factory

fender.

You're going to do that in order to get this snorkel installed.

So there are a bunch of bolts that you'll have to remove, part of the inner fender liner,

down to the pinch seam, a lot of bolts you have to remove and loosen in order to get

that fender removed.

You'll also be removing the cowl cover, and eventually removing your cowl corner.

That's where you end up having to drill out some welds, do some cutting with a cut-off

wheel, have a Dremel handy to clean up those cuts, of course you're gonna want to paint

any of those areas of the sheath, nail that you've cut to keep them from rusting, all

of that so we can fit the snorkel section in place and, of course, there's some modification

to the air box with this new air box lower section, and then all of the piping and all

of the hardware to make all of this stuff work together.

Once you're done with that, actually, changing from the low-mount to the high-mount is a

very simple process.

There's just a couple of screws that you'll need to remove to pop the low-mount off to

snap the high-mount into place, so that's not really a big deal.

But actually getting the snorkel section installed in the engine bag is going to be a lot of

work that requires a lot of cutting and drilling.

If you do plan on tackling this yourself, this is going to be an install that I would

set aside probably around four to even five hours to get done, start to finish.

You are going to want be very careful with those cuts, of course.

There's a lot of disassembly and a lot of reassembly to do to get this done.

And, again, if you do decide to tackle this yourself, you are going to need a cut-off

wheel, or you're going to need a Dremel, a drill, pretty much every tool that you might

have in your toolbox to get this done.

I mentioned before that I think this is really fairly priced and I stand by that.

There are certainly less expensive snorkels on the market.

but I wouldn't trust them to go through deep water in my jeep.

They have too many joints, too many areas, where they can fail, and getting water into

the engine can be catastrophic, can be very expensive, not to mention leaving you stranded

on the trail.

So for my money, if I'm going to be using a snorkel for the purpose of going through

deep water, this is the style of snorkel I want to get, something that is a one-piece

molded snorkel.

And I really like this one even over some of those top tier snorkels on the market.

because of the flexibility, because this is modular.

I love the idea of running the low-mount when I'm on the street or even doing some drilling

and drier environments but having the opportunity to snap the high-mount into place if I plan

on going through some deeper water, so that I can have that extra level of security.

So if you're looking to pick up a snorkel because you plan on going through some deep

water you just like the...or because you want a truly cold-air intake, I think that this

is going to be a really nice option for you.

I personally love the fact that this is modular, it gives you both the low-mount and the high-mount

option, even though the installation is a little bit involved.

So that's my review of the Rugged Ridge XHD Modular Snorkel Kit fitting all 2007, and

of JKs that you can find right here at extremeterrain.com.

Can you solve the counterfeit coin riddle? - Jennifer Lu - Duration: 4:35.

You're the realm's greatest mathematician,

but ever since you criticized the Emperor's tax laws,

you've been locked in the dungeon

with only a marker to count the days.

But one day, you're suddenly brought before the Emperor

who looks even angrier than usual.

One of his twelve governors has been convicted of paying his taxes

with a counterfeit coin

which has already made its way into the treasury.

As the kingdom's greatest mathematician,

you've been granted a chance to earn your freedom by identifying the fake.

Before you are the twelve identical looking coins and a balance scale.

You know that the false coin will be very slightly lighter or heavier

than the rest.

But the Emperor's not a patient man.

You may only use the scale three times

before you'll be thrown back into the dungeon.

You look around for anything else you can use,

but there's nothing in the room -

just the coins,

the scale,

and your trusty marker.

How do you identify the counterfeit?

Pause here if you want to figure it out for yourself!

Answer in: 3

Answer in: 2

Answer in: 1

Obviously you can't weigh each coin against all of the others,

so you'll have to weigh several coins at the same time

by splitting the stack into multiple piles

then narrowing down where the false coin is.

Start by dividing the twelve coins into three equal piles of four.

Placing two of these on the scale gives us two possible outcomes.

If the two sides balance, all eight coins on the scale are real,

and the fake must be among the remaining four.

So how do you keep track of these results?

That's where the marker comes in.

Mark the eight authentic coins with a zero.

Now, take three of them and weigh them against three unmarked coins.

If they balance, the remaining unmarked coin must be the fake.

If they don't, draw a plus on the three unmarked coins if they're heavier

or a minus if they're lighter.

Now, take two of the newly marked coins and weigh them against each other.

If they balance, the third coin is fake.

Otherwise, look at their marks.

If they are plus coins, the heavier one is the imposter.

If they are marked with minus, it's the lighter one.

But what if the first two piles you weigh don't balance?

Mark the coins on the heavier side with a plus

and those on the lighter side with a minus.

You can also mark the remaining four coins with zeros

since you know the fake one is already somewhere on the scale.

Now, you'll need to think strategically

so you can remove all remaining ambiguity in just two more weighings.

To do this, you'll need to reassemble the piles.

One method is to replace three of the plus coins

with three of the minus coins,

and replace those with three of the zero coins.

>From here, you have three possibilities.

If the previously heavier side of the scale is still heavier,

that means either the remaining plus coin on that side

is actually the heavier one,

or the remaining minus coin on the lighter side

is actually the lighter one.

Choose either one of them, and weigh it against one of the regular coins

to see which is true.

If the previously heavier side became lighter,

that means one of the three minus coins you moved

is actually the lighter one.

Weigh two of them against each other.

If they balance, the third is counterfeit.

If not, the lighter one is.

Similarly, if the two sides balanced after your substitution,

then one of the three plus coins you removed

must be the heavier one.

Weigh two of them against each other.

If they balance, the third one is fake.

If not, then it's the heavier one.

The Emperor nods approvingly at your finding,

and the counterfeiting Lord takes your place in the dungeon.
