Waching daily Jan 3 2017

I hate that I am such a weakling.

My tears are making your smiling face blurry.

I could not do anything

But merely looking at your trembling back

As you slowly diminished out of my sight.

The sound of the wind beating on my window is too loud for me to sleep tonight.

However, what's truly noisy is the commotion of my heart.

I'm thinking about you, and I should be smiling,

But I feel a light stinging pain in my nose,

Even though I don't want to cry at all.

I'm such a crybaby, it's irritating.

Your smiling face pricks at my bosom.

Even in times like this, you would be able to keep smiling.

You were truly strong yet gentle.

The flower petals scatter helplessly in the ceaseless rain.

Another season is passing by. I feel something warm on my cheeks.

When I gazed up at the sky, I became wanting to see you,

So I've been running out of breath, even though

I am still not strong yet.

I'm such a crybaby, it's irritating,

But I wish to convey it to you now.

I need to respond to

Those strong yet gentle eyes of yours

That were directly looking at me.

Before I could notice, I had lost the one thing most precious to me.

You were the one who tenderly taught me what it was.

I really do think so, without a question.

I hated that I was such a weakling.

However, I will become stronger and stronger,

So that I would be able to protect you.

Until that time,

Please, wait for me a little longer.

Draw Tip Tuesday - 3D alphabet - Duration: 3:49.

A while ago I made this Draw Tip Tuesday video about getting over your fear of starting a

new sketchbook, by reminding yourself that Done is better than perfect.

I got a suggestion by Larissa to do the whole alphabet of these letters, because that would

help to understand how to create the 3D effect of the shapes.

So here we go!

First of all, let's warm up - I'll be using brown paper, a Lamy Safari fountain

pen with a broad nib and Platinum Carbon ink in it, and a white Uni-ball gel pen.

I'd like to wish you a very happy new year!

May all your wishes come true and your drawing habit flourish!

For this particular kind of letter, you need very simple, one stroke letters.

Once you have those done we'll add a bit of depth to each letter.

Decide on the direction, or angle you want this to be in.

I am drawing short diagonal lines upwards - when we connect the ends, that will create

the effect as if we were looking down onto the letters.

Make sure to keep the diagonal lines parallel to each other, and then you can't really

go wrong.

Do this for all the lines that you see.

You can also play with the angle of your diagonal lines: when you draw them downwards, it'll

look like we are viewing the letters from below.

You can also play with the width of the letters, by drawing your diagonal lines longer or shorter

-as long as you keep them parallel to each other.

I feel like my line could use some more thickness, so I'll trace the lines and this gives me

the chance to correct some details here and there.

Imagine there's a spot light shining from the left onto the letters and think about

where the shadows would fall.

You can use simple hatching lines to darken these bits.

And just because white pops so nicely on brown paper, you can hatch some highlights with

white gel pen.

Of course, now that we're at it, let's add some emphasis on our message!

Now for Larissa's alphabet.

It's helpful to draw some guidelines with a ruler, or to use lined paper.

That way you know that your letters wil all be about the same size as you go.

Again, use simple letters, so that from their ends, you can pull those diagonal lines to

connect later.

Now go in there, decide on your angle, and draw diagonal lines from the ends of the letters.

make sure to keep them parallel to each other and connect them.

once you've done that, your letters have that 3d effect you're looking for.

But if you want you could add a drop shadow like I did in that 'done is better than

perfect' video, or add shading in the letters themselves.

Or both.

Once again, I wish you a happy new year - and if you have any creativity new year's resolutions

for twenty seventeen, in Sketchbook Skool we can help you with that.

Rarest Pets in WoW - Top 10 Rarest Battle Pets in World of Warcraft - Duration: 6:03.

HI!

I'm Hazel, and this is a countdown of the top ten Rarest battle pets in World of Warcraft.

Now, I'm only gonna count Obtainable in-game battle pets here, so limited time promotions

like Asian tournament pets, BlizzCon pets and Collector's edition pets are not in this

list.

So if you see something you like, that dream is within your reach.

Probably.

Before we start counting, Honorable Mention status goes to the Ridgeback Piglet, Thaumaturgical

Piglet and the Transmutant.

These are all Legion Alchemy pets from the lovely transmute meat to pet recipe.

Transmuting Meat to Pet will give you a Pulsating Sac, which is more than a little bit gross.

That sac can drop quite a few different pets including these three new ones.

Surprisingly, not that many people have them but not every alchemist knows that they're

rare, so keep an eye on your auction house for cheap piggies and goo.

#10: Stardust - This sparkly bunny is a reward from beating Algalon in his Celestial Invitation.

To fight Algalon, first you gotta finish the Raiding with Leashes 4 achievement.

If you're stuck on the Drudge Ghoul, try farming Normal mode ICC instead of Heroic.

Beating Algalon's pet battle itself is easier said than done, but I do have a handy video

guide to help out should you get stuck.

#9: The Thistleleaf Adventurer.

This elusive little imp is a lime green version of the Timeless Isle's Dandelion Frolicker.

They rock the same moveset, but this new one only comes in the Health/Speed breed.

This pet has a very low chance to be found in the Dreamweaver Provisions cache that you

get for doing a Val'sharah emmissary.

You can make the grind faster by doing the emmissary on as many alts as you have, but

if you're impatient you might be able to find him adventuring on the Auction House.

Unlike the Frolicker, the Thistleleaf Adventurer rides a little mini fae dragon when you mount

up.

That was what sold me.

#8: The Wondrous Wisdomball.

UNFORTUNATELY this is a non-combat pet, so you can't pit Khadger's head against a bear

in a fight to the death.

You can still enlarge it and have it follow you around though.

It's a reward from the Enemies Everywhere quest, which is a kill-quest in Dalaran.

To start, you'll need to pick up a Strange Humming Crystal from the Kirin Tor Emmissary

cache.

Like the Thistleleaf Adventurer, alts are your friend here.

Oddly enough the Wisdomball can be caged and traded, but they tend to be really expensive

on the Auction House.

#7: The Hateful Eye.

In order to snag one of these, you're going to need to have a minimum level 105 Warlock

or Demon Hunter.

In the Order Hall, research the Tier 2 upgrade called Twisting Nether for Demon Hunters or

Demonic Offering for warlocks.

The Demon Bosses you summon with that perk have a chance to drop the Hateful Eye.

It is NOT cageable, so you really do need a lock or a demon hunter at 105.

Thankfully, Demon Hunters start at 100 so it's not like you have to start from scratch.

#6: The Alliance Enthusiast and Horde Fanatic.

These pets are faction exclusive and earned separately, so if you want both you'll need

to play on both sides.

They carry around a weapon, a lute, a banner, a dangly skull and they wear faction pride

belts.

They also emote at you like a starstruck fans with lines like 'Alliance Enthusiast Cheers

at You' and 'Horde Fanatic Steals a Strand of Your Hair'.

You get the pet when you hit Honor Level 50 and prestige for the first time.

That's pretty easy to get- just do your Warden Tower dailies and you probably won't even

need to PvP. #5: Lagan.

This Little Mermaid reference is a reward from the Poor Unfortunate Souls Achievement.

The achievement requires you to beat Mythic Maw of Souls while every party member is alive

and has a buff from a candle in Blackrook Hold.

The buff has a 30min duration and drops on death, so nobody can die.

You'll need to click the candle, clear Blackrook Hold and then clear Mythic Maw.

Killing bosses adds duration to the buff, so you have a good amount of time.

This achievement isn't really difficult in good gear but the hard part is convincing

four other people to take it seriously enough to do it.

#4: The Albino Buzzard.

This is a new pet to 7.1, and not a ton of people are farming it yet.

There's a pet tamer named Crysa who offers a daily quest in the Northern Barrens, near

Orgrimmar.

It's an easy fight that can be plowed through with a Nexus Whelpling, and rewards a torn

sack of pet supplies.

That bag can drop the Albino Buzzard, but it seems to be quite a rare find.

The easiest way to farm your bird is to park an alt out at Crysa and add her fight to your

daily routine.

#3: The Nightmare Treant.

This spooky little tree is the reward from the infamous Family Familiar Achievement.

It's not HARD, per se, just a real pain in the butt.

You have to defeat 12 master tamers in Legion using single-type teams of every type.

There's a pool of fifteen tamers to choose from for each type, so you can veto three

tamers per type if they're too hard.

Because there's only three pet dailies up per day and not all of them count as Master

Tamers, this achievement is all about the long haul.

#2: The Celestial Calf.

This is both very easy and somewhat unreasonable to get.

You can purchase the Celestial Calf pet on the Mad Merchant vendor in Dalaran for half

a million gold.

No big deal.

If you wanted to buy that gold through the WoW token with a token price of 60k, you'd

need nine tokens for a total of 180 dollars.

If you've scrounged up the gold and you're ready to buy, keep an eye on the Wonderworks

Toy Shop for the Mad Merchant vendor.

He's on a bit of a random spawn time and despawns an hour or so after someone buys something,

so you might need to use the Group Finder to track him down.

Last, the #1 rarest obtainable pet in WoW: Knockoff Blingtron.

Yeah.

The latest version of the Blingtron pet drops From the Blingtron 6000, which needs the Reaves

Module-Bling Mode to summon.

You'll need skill 800 to craft the module, which means dumping huge amounts of gold into

Engineering.

Once you've actually got him, it consumes mats to place every day and the droprate on

the pet is really rare.

All that adds up to make Knockoff Blingtron the least collected pet so far that's actually

in the game.

So, those are the rarest pets in WoW!

How many do you have so far?

Thanks for watching!

Let me know what you think, and have a wonderful, wonderful day.

Bye!

Micromesh Sanding Techniques Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-026-4) - Duration: 1:42.

Hi guys it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm going to show

you how to get a perfectly smooth and beautiful finish on your Polymer Clay Beads using Micro-Mesh.

Now Micro-Mesh is similar to a sand paper product, but it's specially designed for using

on plastics, so I'm very excited to show you how it works today.

Now if you've ever held a perfectly sanded and buffed Polymer Clay bead, you'll know

that it just feels like heaven, it's got a silky smooth satiny feel and it feels a lot

like a polished stone.

In fact, I've got these little stones here that were made with Polymer Clay and my butterfly

wing cane, and they've got kind of an organic feel to it, but they have a lot of… because

the finish is just so smooth and shiny, it feels like a polished stone.

Now there is no gloss or Future floor wax or anything on here, this is just sanded and

buffed using the Micro-Mesh.

Now I've got bins and bins, and you probably do too, of Polymer Clay beads that are unsanded,

and partly the reason for that is because it takes so long.

When you're using regular sand paper, it can take quite a bit of time to get a really nice

finish.

Now what's nice about the Micro-Mesh product is that it's designed

New Year New Me || Spoken Word - Duration: 2:17.

It's a new year, but is it really going to be a new you.

I mean what's going to make this year any different?

I mean what's going to keep you committed

what's going to make you stay dedicated to the mission?

Anybody can talk it

but the question is, can you live it?

The question is can you be consistent

it's easy to make a decision

but what's hard

is staying loyal to your vision

what's hard

is waking up everyday to go get it

ain't nothing in this world given

so if you want to make a change

get outside your comfort zone and stop living inside your limits.

Stop playing with your life

get up and go fight for your dreams

because anything is possible to the heart that believes

you gotta believe

you gotta feel that purpose in your soul

because too many people set goals

but they never put in the work to see their dreams unfold

that can't be you

it's time to breakthrough

it's time for you to stay loyal to what you said you were gonna do

even when that mood has left you

even when that struggle gets the best of you

don't let it stress you

it's not there to break you. It's just there to test you

It's just there to show you

how bad you really want it

and to be to real with you

when you serious about change

you don't need a new year

because all you need is a new moment

so own it

It's time to kill those old ways

because when you're focused on your vision & committed to your purpose

you don't have to chase money

because dedication pays

but those weak habits got to break

that mindset reshaped

you got to believe the odds are beatable even when the odds say it's impossible

that's what I call faith

and that's what it's going to take

24/7 365

you to live it. breathe it. be it. every single day

conquer any challenge that gets in the way

and remember

it's more about what you do, and less about what you say

So if you couldn't say one word

what would your life speak?

would it still say you're about conquering your struggle and creating new peaks?

would it still say you're about getting the most out of your life?

Every moment matters

when you realize 150,000 people die every night

ain't none of this promised

ain't none of this guaranteed

So the question I want to ask you is this

when you fight your last fight

what's the legacy

that you gonna leave

stop playing with your life

in 2017

Polymer Clay Art Sheets Tutorial (Intro Vol-028-1) - Duration: 1:42.

Hi guys, its Cindy Lietz your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm gonna teach

you how to make Polymer Clay Art Sheets.

And I have a remnant of a previous art sheet that I made…I have a piece of it left here,

so you get a bit of a feel for what I am talking about.

And I'm gonna show you a bunch of different beads that were made using this technique.

Now here are some tiles with some UV Resin on top, and they were made from that previous

art sheet that I showed you.

And you can see that each one is unique but they all kind of flow together.

I also have a pair of earrings that were done using this technique, and these little teardrop

shapes were each covered with the UV Resin as well, and this is done in a slightly different

color combination than the last set.

I have some cutout shapes that were done using the technique in some Purples and Turquoise

colors.

And you can also take all the scraps that are left over and make some beautiful round

beads with them.

And I've got this bracelet here with the Leopard on it, and it's got some of these art sheet

beads on it.

And I also have a bowl here with all kinds of different ones.

So you can see this technique is very beautiful and has a wonderful look to it.

Now it's fairly simple to do and what's neat about it is that it is completely

Texture Plates Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-029-1) - Duration: 1:51.

Hi guys it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor and in today's video I'm going to show

you how to make Texture Plates using Sculpey Mold Maker.

And I've got a few examples here, and here's the clay that we're gonna be using, it's also

known as Super Elasticlay and you'll see why once you start working with it, it's got quite

a flexible and elastic-y kind of texture to it.

I've got a whole bunch of different examples here of small little chips that I've made,

and since we're making mostly jewelry with this I like to make my chips smaller so that

I can use a lot less clay and get a lot more different textures, but you can make the plates

whatever size that you like.

Now I've got a few different examples here of some projects that I've made using the

texture plates.

Here are some pendants where I've used one texture plate on the front and a different

one on the back, and then using paint, I highlighted it and distressed it so that the textures

would show really well.

I've got another pendant here with a little flower on the front side and a circular design

on the back.

Here's another one with a larger flower and some tinier flowers, this one here is one

where I didn't press the texture in quite as deep, and so it's a little harder to see

the pattern on and I'll talk about that in a minute.

Now this clay is an interesting clay

Mushroom Beads Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-025-1) - Duration: 2:00.

Hi guys its Cindy Lietz your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm going to show

you how to make a Mushroom Bead.

And Mushroom Beads are pretty fun, they're very, very popular right now.

And what's fun about them is just the wide variety of different things that you can do

with them to make them look quite different.

I've got lots of examples here.

The first two I'll show you are done with a Zebra cane on the top, and they have a funky

sort of modern look to them.

And I've got one here with some polka dots on it.

I've got another polka dotted bead that has a little tiny bee on the top, and it's quite

a cute little poison mushroom.

I've got one here that has more of a rustic look to it, and it was made with the Granite

Clay by Sculpley, so it has kind of a stone look and it was antiqued.

Here's another one here where I used a Kaleidoscope cane, wrapped it around the top part and then

added a little Bright Pink flower.

I have a couple of necklaces here.

One is sort of on a leather leash here, and it has a cane on the top as well.

And then here's a more elaborate one, and it actually was…there's alcohol ink on this

one, and I'll talk about that technique in a bit, and then there's a flower with a scroll-y

vine and things on it.

So I'll show you how to do this shape, it's quite fun and easy.

You're gonna need a few colors of clay, however you wanna do it.

Buttefly Wing Cane Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-026-1) - Duration: 1:32.

Hi guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video, I'm going to

show you how to make a Butterfly Wing Cane, and this is a beautiful wing based on the

Blue Morpho Butterfly.

And there are lots and lots uses for a cane like this, so I've got a bunch of examples

here.

I have a pair of earrings where I've used the slices of the cane and then covered them

with UV Resin.

I've also got another pair of earrings where I've rolled up a slice, and given it sort

of a flower-like look to it.

I've also got slices here where I've made pendants, here's a smaller one and a much

larger one.

I also have a pendant where I have combined the cane to give it a look of a wing of a

Butterfly, and give it a little body so it looks like it's flying off on its own.

And then I've also made a bead where I've taken the slice and wrapped it around a core

of scrap clay, and then made a bead for this dangle on this dangle bangle.

So there's lots of uses you can see for the cane.

Now the colors that we'll be using are

Polymer Clay Bead Caps Tutorial (Intro Vol-028 2) - Duration: 1:48.

Hi guys, its Cindy Lietz your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm gonna show

you how to make Polymer Clay Bead Caps.

And when you're making jewelry with your Polymer Clay Beads, you tend to use a lot of different

findings and things and that includes bead caps, and if you can make them yourself, that

is a fun thing to do.

So I've got a bunch of different examples here that I can show you.

You can make the bead caps in simple round shapes like this.

Or ones that are more leaf shaped like this here.

Or you can do a little flower caps or little textured circles, all kinds of different things.

I used metallic clays here, or you can use solid color, opaque clays, like I did with

these ones, so you have lots and lots of different options.

I'll show you a few examples of how I used the bead caps.

Here is a Copper kind of a leaf shaped cap here that has no texture on it, and it's quite

pretty, it works quite nicely on the small bead or any other sized bead that you like.

I have textured round caps on this one, and it works quite well on a large bead, but it

also fits on a smaller bead like this one here, and so there's quite a range in sizes

that will work with this particular shape of bead cap.

And then you don't have to use round beads with bead caps either.

Here's a tube bead here that has some flower caps on the end, so you have lots and lots

of different options.

Now the clay that we're gonna used

Pod Beads Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-030-3) - Duration: 2:27.

Hi guys its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm gonna show

you how to make Pod Beads.

And Pod Beads can be done in a variety of different ways and styles, and I'm gonna put

my own little spin on it, but the traditional way to do a Pod Bead is a Leaf Pod Bead, like

much this one here.

And this particular style of bead was made famous by the Polymer Clay Artist Karen Lewis

who's also known as Klew.

You've probably seen this style of Pod Bead out there before, but some of the ones I'm

gonna show you today are slightly different.

I've done these beads with a variety of different canes other than the leaf bead.

Here's one with a bit of a frilly almost pine cone kind of look, and it was done using the

butterfly cane… the butterfly wing cane that we did a while back.

Here's one here it's in a similar sort of chunky style with a Purple Feather cane.

Here are some longer and thinner pod style beads, and this one was done with a feather

cane, and this one was as well.

And you can see the feather cane in the Green looks a lot like a leaf, and this almost has

a bit of a flower bud shape to it.

Here's a similar long one with some leaf canes at the top, and it was done with the feather

cane here.

And then here's sort of a funky version that has more of a modern look to it, and this

one was done using the Mitered Corner cane.

And to me it almost looks like little handkerchiefs folded on the corners.

And then here are a pair of earrings here that I've done using the Glow in the Dark

Jellyroll Cane.

And to me, these almost have the look of little Fuchsia buds only with sort of a modern twist

to them with the stripes and the glowing colors.

So I think you're really gonna enjoy the possibilities with this technique.

Now all you need to have is

you how to make a Dangle Bangle.

And these are a little Copper Bangle that you can dangle a Polymer Clay charm from.

Now I've got an example here that has a simple loop here and a hook clasp.

And then hanging from it is a glow in the dark Jellyroll cane bead, on a little flame

dipped headpin made of Copper wire.

And I have another example here, very similar only this time the loop was wrapped in wire,

and then I've got a little bit different bead here of a Watercolor bead.

Now these are quite simple to make, what you're gonna need

Embedded Links Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-027-2) - Duration: 1:19.

Hi guys it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and in today's video I'm going to show

you how to do Embedded Links.

Now Embedded Links are little wire links that you embed into beads or different types of

pendants and things, where you want to have the strength of a little metal link.

Now, these are some toggle beads that I've made, and the link has been embedded into

a rocker bead…and we learned how to make those in Volume 26.

And if you are wondering what a Toggle Bead is…and I've got an example here, a Toggle

bead is this bead here that goes through a link and it can be used a clasp.

I've also got an embedded link in this side of the clasp as well, so you can use it for

lots of different types of things.

You can also use it for pendants and that type of thing and I've got some links embedded

at the top of these heart beads here, and we learned how to do that in Volume 20.

So I'm just gonna show you how to embed the links into a toggle bead.

Now I've got just a little piece of

Pumpkin Canes Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-029-4) - Duration: 1:53.

Well, hello everyone, it's Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor, and today we're going

to be making Pumpkin Canes.

And I've got a few examples here, Pumpkin canes are a great little technique to learn

how to do.

Making any picture cane can be done in a similar way, so if pumpkins are out of season for

you when you're watching this, you can use the techniques to build lots of different

types of picture canes.

You can make these particular pumpkins nice and round, tall and skinny, itty-bitty, tiny

little ones… and I'll show you what you can make with these canes.

I've got a few little cane slice beads here which I've used for making into a pair of

earrings, with tiny little pumpkin dangles on them.

I've also used cane slices on the larger side and made some larger dangles for these earrings

here, and I even used the wire to give a little tendril to it.

I've got a bead here where I've used it more Millefiori style where the cane slices have

gone on a round disc bead here around the outside edges and on either side.

You can also use the slices in a variety of sizes and layer them and make a little pumpkin

patch, like this one here.

And this one could be made into a pendant, a button even or as a scrapbook element.

And then I've got a bead here, just showing you how pretty the colors go together, and

this is made with the scraps that were left over from making the cane.

It's not a very difficult cane to make, what you're gonna need to do is start off with

Feather Canes Polymer Clay Tutorial (Intro Vol-030-2) - Duration: 2:17.

Hi guys, its Cindy Lietz, your Polymer Clay Tutor and today I'm going to show you how

to make Feather Canes.

And what's unique about these particular feather canes is they are made with scrap clay canes

that you've made in the past, so I'm gonna show you a few examples here.

Here is a feather cane that I made using an old heart cane.

Here's another feather cane that I used, using a pumpkin cane.

And here's another one using a Skinner blend cane that actually was the top of the pumpkin

cane.

And I'm gonna show you a few examples here and it's really very neat what you can do

with this and how much detail you can get.

Now here are a couple of slices from the different feather canes, and these were covered with

UV Resin.

And I'll probably use these as a pendant or a dangle or charm or that type of thing.

Here are some slices that were made into a pair of earrings, as you can see, they have

quite a bit of detail to them.

I have some pod beads here that were made using feather canes.

Here's a fairly simple one with a long kind of look to it.

Here's another one here with more detail and it has some leaf canes at the top, and this

was wire wrapped to become a pendant.

Here is another one here where I've used a feather cane underneath as well as feather

canes on the top, and because of the color combination it looks like a flower with leaves

on the top.

And then here's another one as well with a feather cane here in Purples, and then I used

one of our Polymer Clay bead caps on the top here.

Lastly, I have kind of a stone type shape bead that's a little bit on the lentil side

'cause it's swirled a bit with a couple of different feather canes.

So you can see that these canes are not only beautiful on their own, but they are also

beautiful combined and used in many different techniques.

Now it's quite a simple thing to do
