Hi, it's Linda Raynier of LindaRaynier.com

Career Strategist, Speaker and Coach.

And in this video, I'm going to teach you six tips on how to make a great LinkedIn profile,

so that you can get noticed by recruiters and hiring managers

and literally become a magnet for new job opportunities.

You may not realize this,

but aside from your resume,

your LinkedIn profile is being carefully reviewed by the recruiters and hiring managers for the jobs that you apply for.

So if your LinkedIn isn't on point,

you may not even make it to the first round of interviews.

So it's extremely important to pay attention to how your LinkedIn is being presented

and that it represents the best possible version of you.

All right so let's dive into LinkedIn tip #1 and that is to have a photo that sends good vibes.

So aside from your name,

your LinkedIn profile picture is one of the first things that recruiters and hiring managers look at

as soon as they look you up on LinkedIn.

So you want to have a photo that's recent and of high quality.

You don't want to be using any old or dark, grainy photos

and you definitely don't want to be deceiving anybody by using a photo from several years back.

So make sure it's bright, it's clear, and that you're smiling and looking professional.

So for the guys, perhaps wear a collared shirt and a suit jacket and if you can, a tie as part of your LinkedIn profile picture.

And for the ladies, I would suggest wearing a blazer or a nice fitted top that is appropriate for the office.

Also, try to have a LinkedIn-specific photo

instead of using a picture from a recent family wedding or some other occasion.

And the reason for this is because you want to give the sense that you're serious about your career.

So, using any photo from any situation and any setting can cause some people to potentially question how serious you really are.

That's why I say if you want to put your best self forward in your job search and career

then that also applies to your LinkedIn profile photo.

Tip #2: Use an appropriate headline.

So, I've seen different opinions on what people should put as their headlines.

I've seen people say that you should have multiple description words that are high value and high impact.

But to be honest, I completely disagree.

I feel that you should just put your job title as your headline.

So if you're a Senior Financial Analyst, put that as your headline.

If you are a Finance Manager, put that as your headline.

And the reason for this is so that recruiters and hiring managers can find you easily.

If they have a job opportunity and they're looking for someone with your type of experience, your title specifically,

then they'll be able to find you.

But if you put in all these complicated words and vague descriptions

in your headline, people don't know what your title is and they don't know who you are and what you do.

So I highly recommend using your job title as your headline.

All right, onto tip #3.

Tip #3: Have a "What I Can Do For You"-Oriented Profile Summary

A lot of people don't even write up profile summaries in their LinkedIn profiles

and I think that's a shame. Because when you do have a profile summary

it helps you get noticed by recruiters and hiring managers for buzzwords that they may be looking up.

So, in your profile summary you want it to be short and sweet, but

at the same time, you don't want to just be talking about you, you, you

and instead, talk about what problems you help to solve.

And an example of how you would write your profile summary would be...

So that's an example of one sentence that you would have as part of your profile summary

and you would have probably, I would say about 3 or 4 of those and that'll make up a full paragraph

and that will be your little intro for anybody that lands on your LinkedIn profile.

Onto tip #4, and that is to make your work experience short and sweet.

You don't want to lay out all details and your duties and your achievements

onto your LinkedIn profile because that's what your resume is for.

So your LinkedIn profiles should just have your job titles,

your companies that you've worked at,

the exact months and years that you've worked in each of those roles,

and maybe, maybe have one bullet point that kind of summarizes

the overall responsibilities within each of the jobs that you've held.

The reason why you don't want to lay out all your goods onto the LinkedIn profile

is because you want to pique the interest of the recruiter or the hiring manager.

If they see that based on the titles that you've held and the companies that you've worked at

that there's a potential fit for an opportunity they have on the go

there's a greater likelihood that because they don't know everything about you,

by just looking at your LinkedIn profile,

they will then reach out to you and ask for your resume.

So that's how you then become a greater magnet for job opportunities.

A lot of people seem to hesitate to ask for recommendations from their old managers or bosses,

but I say, get over that fear and ask for those recommendations.

Because that's one simple way that you can get your LinkedIn profile to truly stand out

from other profiles out there.

And you want to make sure that these recommendations are coming from people that you worked for

such as an old boss or manager,

as opposed to a peer.

And the reason is, getting a recommendation from a peer is fine, but

it's still not as effective as if you can have it from someone who you consider a reference.

And finally, Tip #6: Put out your contact details.

This is something that a lot of people forget to do,

but I say, always remember to include some sort of contact information

whether it's an email address, and if you're comfortable, a phone number

somewhere that is easily visible on your LinkedIn profile

so that any recruiter or hiring manager that really wants to speak to you right away about an opportunity

can easily find it and reach out to you.

So now you have it, 6 major tips on how to make a great LinkedIn profile so that you can become a magnet for new job opportunities.

How to Turn Off the Notes (from Printing) in SPSS Output - Duration: 1:17.

In this video I'd like to show you how

to remove the notes from your output. And

if you've seen those before, the notes

are that giant table that comes out in your

output that really can be a great waste

of paper when you're printing your

results. So let's see how to do that.

Thankfully, it's pretty easy. So just to

show you what I mean here, if I run

descriptives on SAT here, click OK. Notice

these notes I get, in fact they're much

bigger than my one table of output. I

don't want to see this thing every time

I run an analysis and I certainly don't

want to print it out because it wastes a

lot of paper. So there's an easy way to

turn that off, but first let's go ahead

and delete this. Go to Edit and then go

to Options. And then if your Viewer tab is

not selected, make sure that you select it.

Go to this third option here,

Item Notes. Notice it says contents are

initially shown. Go ahead and click

Hidden, click Apply, then OK. And then now

let's rerun our analysis and click OK.

And I no longer have those notes. So that

really can help in terms of printing the

results and just trying to read the

results as the notes are so large.

OK that's it. Thanks for watching.

Summer vacations in Skiathos - Greece - Duration: 8:11.

Travelling to Skiathos Greece

From the port of Volos, the ferry crosses the waters of Pagasitikos.

After an hour and crossing 41 miles unfolds before us the first island of Sporades.

Welcome to Skiathos

Attention please we inform gentlemen and ladies passengers that in a few minutes the ship will reach the port of Skiathos

Skiathos Town is the only settlement on the island

Chora is the heartbeat of whole island

Here lies the port of Skiathos and where the commercial activity is concentrated

The capital was built around 1830 on the site of the old city

Walking the streets of the city reveals its unique beauties.

Traditional, picturesque, romantic, idyllic Images

Together they create the special character of Skiathos

A multifaceted city that knows how to conquer travelers

Skiathos at summer is full of people

At Papadiamantis street concentrates the largest commercial traffic

It is the most central street of the city where you can find many tourist shops, where you can buy souvenirs to always remember your vacation

Also, there, you will see the house of Alexandros Papadiamantis

Now it's a museum and inside are saved many furniture and personal belongings of the great writer.

Leaving for a while the noisy streets and heading towards the port, we can see the small peninsula Bourtzi, which separates the port of Skiathos in two

The commercial port and the old one, where the fishing boats dock and the boats that tour around the island

Over the small piney peninsula are the ruins of the Venetian fortress built by Gizi brothers in 1207 when they occupied the island

Today, preserved only a few remnants of the walls, while the peninsula is also the building of the old primary school, which was built in 1906 with a donation of Andreas Syngrou

In front of Bourtzi entrance is the statue of Papadiamantis

In one of the three peaks of the hill on which the town extends, it is built Saint Nicholas church with its famous clock

Near the harbor, at Tsiferi region you will see the last shipyard on the island, which build, maintain and repair small ships

From the old port start the boats that tour around the island and anchor in hidden coves or go to Tsoukria island with the dreamy beach and the famous Lalaria

The city shows great tourist development. Prices are affordable for every wallet.

As for food, nobody stays complained. But since we are on island, seafood have a distinctive place

We eat now!

Eating is favourite sport of Athena and of course Stefano's

We took some dishes and we have a terrific view

We have everything in our plates, but the best snack is...

polished shells, they are alive,

And now let's see where it goes

I am speechless, it's the best snack

good appetite!

we have zucchini, for every taste

the traditional cheese of Skiathos, "galotiri", as you can see only one piece left

A plate with pasta prawn which is unbelievable but almost finished

salad "dakos"

a tasty octopus

and ouzo "Plomari"

let's make a toast Stefanos

Cheers!!!

As night falls, Skiathos transformed

On the streets music sounds from small bar which invite guests to discover amid the city's neighborhoods and have fun with locals

Cocktail is a must at unique "Maxilares" which are a trademark of nightlife of the island

ohhh what we have! This is strawberry mojito

Cheers!!!

Cheers!!!

But if you're a bit of exploration you'll find bars hidden in alleyways that you will remember in a lifetime

Here i stay not in my bed, but in a wonderful and original bar

This bed is for customers to drink and relax

it's perfect

That jewelery box is actually a table for drinks

[ENG CC] Best 2016 Affordable Makeup + Brushes - Duration: 8:01.

Hi This is Suy

Today I want to show you makeup tutorial on what I am wearing right now

I wanted to do Christmas and NYE makeup

but I know I am very late......

I feel like I haven't filmed a makeup tutorial so I am excited

I did this look with my 2016 favorite affordable makeup and brushes

I wish I could tell you prices on each item but.........

This thing is I don't remember everything and

you know prices are very different between Korean and the US

So I am not sure if it is meaningful to write them down in the description box

Anyway I will list all the products that I mentioned in the description box for you

If you have any questions please feel free to ask!

So let's get started!

I personally don't like silicon based primier

but I really enjoyed using it

It lightly brighten up my skin and is very good for pores

I love this color concealer from Soap&Glory

It blends very well that I used it even in the busy morning

My skin tone is pretty yellow so the lavender is perfect for me

I recently bought this foundation but I have been using it every day

It is similar to matte that is hydrating

but the finish is more matte and it has better coverage

and...of course it is cheaper!!

I got this sponge from Ricky's which is a store in the US has a lot of affordable beauty products

It is just as good as an expensive beauty blender.

I love it

Good side of using a sponge or blender when you apply foundation is that

You can create such a natural nice looking skin

I literally pat it for over 3 minutes to have the foundation completely absorb into my skin

I had been loving to use power type brow products

but I have tried this gel type brow products that actually used quite a lot

It blends very well and I like the color for my brows

I just need to be careful not to pick too much products

I brought this brow mascara from Korea and I am still using it

I started using again after I changed my hair colour

I would repurchase it again and again

I don't normally use eye primer but I like this a lot because it dries quickly

It is very inexpensive and eye shadow sticks a ll day long

I am surprise that I haven't hit the pan!

I LOVE all of the matte eye shadows from Etude House

They have such beautiful matte shadow that blends very well

I like to use this eye shadow for contouring with this brush

If you are beginner, touch under your cheek bone before start doing it

try not to bring it too much inside of your face or your skin will look darker

To contour your nose use contouring color that has lighter than the one used outside of the face

This brush was perfect for contouring. I love it

I like this pressed powder because it has a good coverage

I always bring it with me in my bag

I pat it on around eyes and nose

I used this so much......it looks gross

This is my all time favorite base shadow I highly recommend this

You might watch my recent haul video that I said this eye shadow palette is amazing

It is a versatile palette and I even used it for highlighting my nose

Blends amazingly and so pigmented

This Covergirl concealer is the best to highlight under my eyes

also to cover hyper pigmentation from eyeglasses nose pads

even I apply after I set my concealer

it never gets cakey

Wet n Wild brushes are very inexpensive and high quality

I washed them so many times but it is still like a brand new

I love ALL of the colourpop eye shadows especially Kathleenlights

It's a beautiful metallic copper pigment

Pigmentation is such powerful and it's great for warm tone makeup

This brush is also my all time favorite brush to blend eye shadows

I like Colourpop gel liners

it doesn't smudge and very pigmented

but maybe because it is so soft, it breaks quiet easily

other than that I love them

I fill my tight live with black

and create a winged liner with brown gel pencil

So many people love NYX Jumbo pencil

I like this Burgundy color so much it looks so beautiful on my lower lash line

and under my winged liner

I use short and dense brush to blend it out since I am going to blend under my eyes

I use this highlight shadow on my nose and Cupid's bow

it is a stunning looking shadow and blends heavenly!

My nose looks really higher than before and looks very natural

I like to highlight only from the middle part of my nose to the end

because it looks more natural and higher rather than highlight entire bridge of my nose

I already rave about this mascara in my other video

I comb my lashes a little bit because I am going to use false lashes

If you are not a false lashes wearer, I would suggest cut it in half and put them only on outer part of your eyes

that way you still get a natural look with bigger eyes

I only have and use Revlon liquid liner haha

I have gone through so many of this

I like the color and it stays forever! never smudges

This is a such affordable eye shadow palette

The quality is just as good as any high end eye shadows

This glitter is amazing on your inner corner of your eyes

It has pretty big chunks of glitter but I love it!!

I have been using almost everyday!

As you may know, B&H is also one of affordable brands

I love this palette

it has 10 different colors so inexpensive

Brush is also from B&H

It is very pigmented so you need to be careful but blends very well

This is a new matte lip color from Revlon

It's so pretty that I wanted to buy all the colours

It's so creamy and doesn't dry even though it's matte

Last products I love in 2016 is this nail polish

Covergirl's nail polishes are so affordable and I wear this at work all the time

Okay this is all for 2016 affordable makeup and brushes favorite

Hope you enjoyed!

In 2017 I want to be positive and I truly believe positive thoughts changes one's mind and life

This is my new year resolution :-)

Be happy and loved :D

Love you and see you in my next video! Bye~~~

Alan Watts - Change Your Mind and It Will Change Your Life ( Motivation Video ) - Duration: 11:12.

now as you do this you begin to notice a

rather uriens change in your general

feeling of life you notice that their

seasons to be what I would call an

interruption or an interval between your

experience and yourself

you see in our ordinary way of using our

minds the chronic sense of strain the

chronic attempt to think about and make

sense of what we are feeling is what we

call our me go

if you say I experienced my own

existence i am aware constantly of a

Noah behind that receiving all that is

known then you get this chronic

sensation of there being and I itself

who has all these experiences and that I

ourselves is what we call the ego and

this chronic sense of straight is our

you might call it our psychological

blocking

against our experience the thing that

seems to divide us from an external

world from the whole universe but when

in this way the interval begins to

diminish we begin to experience our

world as ourselves there is no interval

there's no interruption between the NOAA

and the note just as when we are

completely absorbed listening to music

or dancing to music

we are not aware of our separation from

it we go right with it and so in the

same way when the mind responds

instantly to what the census bring it

seems almost as if the mind and what

experiences were one same now in a way

of course this is actually true we can

understand this theoretically but we

don't ordinarily really feel it

for example you know the old saying if a

tree falls in a forest and nobody mystic

good will be any noise

perhaps you know the limericks in which

this problem is post was a young man

said god I find it exceedingly odd that

a tree as a tree simply cease to be when

there's no one around in the quad and

the answer was young man your

astonishment out i'm always around in

the quad

so the tree as a tree never ceases to be

since observed by yours faithfully God

but this is a great philosophical puzzle

for the Western world does what we know

depends on there being an hour now in a

way obviously dance because when a tree

falls in the forest

it certainly makes vibrations in the air

but those vibrations in the air do not

become noise unless they vibrate an

eardrum so in the same way the light

from the Sun does not become light

unless it falls on an eye I ball and two

we could say the the external world is

full of hard things but nothing is hard

except in relation to the soft surface

of the human skin

nothing is heavy except in relation to

human muscles

so if there is not a human organs the

world does not appear to us at all as

having any of the characteristics which

we attach to an external world in other

words we could say the Sun is light but

only because of eyes rocks are hard but

only because of soft things falling

rocks are noisy but only because of

sensitive human years we cannot want any

idea at all of what the world would be

like without an observing mind even such

things as duration the span of time

depend upon the human mind to appreciate

space depends on a human mind to observe

the world from a particular position and

so know that there are things which are

disciplined without this mind there

could not be any well that we could

think about often see or imagine in any

way whatsoever and so this shows in a

very clear way that our mind and the

external world go together

they are inseparable differences taking

a cigar which has two distinct ends but

you cannot separate those ends if I

would want to take one of these ends off

and break the thing and throw it away it

would still have another end but still

be two ends there

I could never get rid of the situation

of having two ends so you see that

although the two ends are different

there is just one object so in the same

way although there is a difference in a

way between the NOAA and the known

between man and the world

nevertheless these two go together and

they are fundamentally in summer and

therefore when our consciousness is

responding

inst without any interval or

interrupting without any shall we say

stopping to think about me then we have

a situation in which we are actually

realizing we are actually feel the true

physical relationship which exists

between man and his environment and this

we could call the experience of oneness

or unity with the universe which is the

function of meditation now I think it's

not difficult to see some very obvious

values

because well if we live entirely in a

world of thought more of the things that

we pursue in life turned in a way to

become arid and unsatisfactory

because we are living in an abstract

world in other words nobody in his

senses is going to eat and manual

instead of dinner

nobody in his senses is going to try and

get a satisfactory diet of dollar bills

and yet you see dollar bills and minions

stand in the same relation on the one

hand to wealth on the other hand to

dinner

the same relation in which thot stands

to reality they re presented they

symbolize reality but they are in no

sense substitutions for him

yes you can do a great deal of things if

you have a lot of dollar bills unless

you exchange those dollar bills into

real concrete worse they are no value to

you

and so in the same way if we try to live

in the world of pure thought we begin to

feel a strange on satisfactory quality

to the world and this living in pure

thought is not something that is only

done by you know professors and

intellectuals and thinking people

perfectly ordinary people live in the

world of pure thought as for example

when we pursue certain goals in life

when we say i want to be successful I

want to be happy

these are really abstractions because

supposing you become enormously wealthy

and you're able to 43 cars and six

houses you can't drive in three cars at

once you can't live in six houses at

once you have a symbol which we call

prestige of your status but that is an

abstract you can't really you can eat

Kristen you can eat success and so to

overcome

that time of the government by the

Santa's not think is an important

adjunct to solve

to be able every so often see the have

up going on inside one's it and to let

talking to oneself stop and come stones

you didn't of course it in the

meditation master to do it this is

simply the way it's done by what is

Hindus you could walk sit in the

ordinary way line the bottom line you're

back in bed before you get up in the

morning do it just let your mind alone

and stop trying to make sense of the

world so there is really something to

think about other than thought itself

like if we wrote books about nothing but

books

I'm afraid what a great deal of

scholarship is books and ebooks books so

in this way through meditation we come

to that kind of profound peace which is

exhibited in the faces of the book i

remember particularly some words my last

I do harm in which he gives a marvelous

description of the whole attitude which

these faces represent each Eidolon

shaped by human faith remains the shell

of a truth eternal divine and even the

shell itself may hold a ghostly power

the soft serenity passionless tenderness

of these butter faces might yet give

peace of soul to a West weary of Creed's

transformed into conventions eager for

the coming of another teacher to propane

I have the same feeling for the high as

for the low for the morale as for the

immoral for the depraved as for the

virtuous or those holding sectarian

views and false opinions as for those

whose beliefs are good will

How to keep your workouts honest: Chest Press - Duration: 1:53.

What's up, Philly! I'm Nick Deacon and I'm

Philly.com's Next Top Trainer. Today,

I'm going to help you develop a little bit more

honesty in your workouts so you can get the best results from them.

The method that I use with my own trainees to do this

is called the Dead Stop Method,

which essentially establishes a strong

Point A and takes you to a strong Point B,

back and forth, every rep so that you know

exactly where you need to be.

The exercise that we're going to use today

to demonstrate this method is the Dead Stop Floor Press.

This exercise is great because it's an intuitive way to build your upper body.

Today we're going to be using two dumbbells.

We'll start by sitting between our two dumbbells.

Place them out onto the edges of our knees,

and rock back into position.

You're going to find weight in your heels

and lower back by pressing your back into the floor.

Keeping your elbows held tight to your sides,

we're going to pull them down into the floor,

then press to the ceiling.

Your elbows find the floor again.

Come back down and repeat.

Now, the most common mistakes with the

floor press — and everyone does this — is bringing

your elbows too high so that you have weak shoulders.

Even more than that, people tend to just get lazy

and kind of push them towards the ceiling.

Tuck your elbows in,

making sure that your shoulders aren't weak

so we have a strong supporting shoulder.

Punch the ceiling.

Don't get lazy with this exercise.

Put all of your force into it.

And that's one way to keep your workouts honest and effective.

Thanks for watching. I'm Nick Deacon,

Philly.com's Next Top Trainer.

Respecting Cochlear Implant Choices - Duration: 4:33.

Hi! Brian Johns back.

Today let's talk about the views of cochlear implants from those in the deaf community

and those outside of the deaf community.

This discussion is the result of a FB post that I put up on the day after

my right side implantation.

And one of the comments on that post was "fucking stupid surgery."

It was from someone I don't know and is not a friend on Facebook

But as soon as I saw that comment, I knew right away what the person's views

of cochlear implants was likely to be.

And that he likely was from that vocal segment of the deaf community

that view cochlear implants with suspicion.

Really, it comes down to two different world views.

There are those who view deafness as a disability that can be alleviated with assistive devices,

like cochlear implants and many have benefitted tremendously, like myself.

There are others who see deafness as a culture and they

view cochlear implants as a threat to that culture

and a threat to American Sign Language

which they view as a cultural touchstone.

They don't like being viewed as "broken"

and needing to be "fixed" with a technological fix.

Let's go back to the comment "fucking stupid surgery."

So with respect to that comment,

you know I felt like that person was telling me

I was fucking stupid to go forward with the surgery.

As it turns out he deleted his own comment.

But the fact remains is that I felt like my

personal choice was called into question.

In a way I think that it needs to come down to

respecting each other's choices

in regard to cochlear implants.

Now, I felt that it would be in my best interest to proceed

with the cochlear implant,

particularly after my hearing took a turn for the worse

in the summer of 2012.

And you know what? I have benefitted greatly from the cochlear

implant in the left ear. And I hope to have the same results in my

right ear

which will be activated next Wednesday, Dec 2nd.

I'm hoping for the best.

Likewise, if somebody decides not to proceed with a cochlear implant

I'm going to respect their choice. They're going to have their own reasons

for why they are not proceeding with a cochlear implant.

I will also respect someone's choice as to how they want to live

whether they want to be in the hearing world

or in the deaf world

or somewhere in between.

But really, bottom line

is we need to respect each other's personal choices.

with respect to cochlear implants.

So if you're in a position where you're trying to decide whether to

go for a

cochlear implant or not,

you need to do decide what's in your best interests

and tune out the negative opinions one way or the other

regarding this technology.

Do the research.

Visit with your audiologist.

And if you can, visit with a local cochlear implant program

to gather the information and

And just make your decision based on the information

Adopting a child doesn't mean that you are forfeiting the chance to have a child yourself - Duration: 0:25.

I don't think you're ever saying goodbye to the option of being a birth father,

an actual father or a birth mother. You're just saying

at this particular instance,

at this particular moment, I'm going for the adoption. It doesn't mean that in a

year from now I could meet the right woman, and we could get married and have

another child. There is nothing to say that I have ever closed any doors.

Yes, you can make money on YouTube too.

Start by setting up your channel on the site.

You can do this using your Google id and password.

Add keywords that pertain to the content in the Advanced section under Channel Settings.

Upload content that is interesting, concise, useful and entertaining.

Tag them with keywords to improve visibility and make sure you update frequently so that

your channel subscribers have a reason to keep visiting your space.

Interact with viewers posting comments to maintain a good relationship with your audience.

You earn money with YouTube videos when you choose the Monetize option.

Joining up for the YouTube Partner program lets you earn for content you post through

merchandise and paid subscriptions.

YouTube also places ads in monetized content.

You have a choice between the Cost per View or Cost per Click model to make money with

your videos.

You can expect to make about $1500 for a million views so building your audience and promoting

your video to the maximum number of people is really crucial.

Promote your videos across various other channels, for example, through Facebook or Twitter.

Obviously, you earn more when more people see your videos.

So the first step is to identify what kind of videos are most popular.

Take a look at a few ideas:

• Reviews of popular products enjoy good viewership, especially in the period immediately

following a new product launch.

You can also review affiliate products and make money through the link as well as through

the YouTube Monetization • You can do paid reviews on YouTube as

well and means you have a twin benefit from these videos

• Tutorials are a great way to popularize your videos.

Whether it is a video on how to solve the Rubix cube or a DIY car puncture fixing video,

you are sure to grab many eyeballs for a well made, useful, simple video

• Whacky videos like 'How to turn your pet into a star', funny compilations like

'funny babies' or 'funny animals' are all good for capturing attention
