Waching daily Dec 2 2017

Hello everyone! As promised

I am going to film this video in French

to celebrate my 1000 subscribers!

1000! It's crazy!

Be kind with me please and please excuse my New Zealand accent

Let's go!

Although I am not at all fluent or completely fluid in French, it gives me the occasion

to get over my fears one step at a time by speaking French with you

I hope that I will watch this video in 2 years and say

Wow, I have made so much progress in French!

And as you have understood

The subject of this video is indeed my level of French

and how I went about learning French as an adult

starting absolutely from scratch.

I had the idea from one of my subscribers, Emma

who used the Ask Me Anything form

which I put

each time in the description box of my videos by the way

And Emma asked me

Firstly, Thank You Emma for your question

But I am not sure that I am the

role model that you are looking for because

I was a very bad student

when it came to learning French

But as I did all the things you shouldn't do

I am going to answer you by explaining all the things

Al the things you SHOULDN'T do

so that you can French much faster than I.

So a bit of history, I arrived in France

4 years ago now and didn't speak a word

of French. Okay, I'm exaggerating a little

I learnt a few words and expressions

Bonjour, Merci

S'il vous plaît

I took evening courses for 4 weeks

so I knew numbers and colours

Which weren't very useful

the very first weeks! My mother-in-law there like

"Rosie, have you eaten enough?"and me

in a total panic

"rouge, six" (red, six)

So I didn't learn anything at school

and then when I arrived in France I made matters worse

by doing the following things:

The first mistake I made was

being too scared to speak! I was

incredibly timid, I felt stupid

I felt like a small child and so I stayed

in my comfort zone, speaking English.

Of course I spoke a little French when

I went to the bakery or to the pharmacy

But aside from that, I was never

pushed to speak French

and i should have pushed myself actually.

I studied in English, interned in English

built relationships with others

in English

Other expats of course but even with French

people in my course who were bilingual.

Even if I started

to have some French words/phrases in mind

If there was a

1% risk

of making a mistake

I prefered to stay in English.

And as I was shy, it suited me perfectly

and in the end

I took the easiest route

It seems obvious but you shouldn't

do that - you need to dare, speak

dare again, make lots of mistakes

Nobody minds!

The second thing to NOT do

is to not work in your French

every single day.

As I didn't learn languages at school, I didn't know

how to learn French! And I thought for a long time

that if only I had the academic theory

the grammar fundamentals

I could start speaking afterwards

The problem with this plan is that

we never find time

to do that in life, especially if we work

or study! So I was spending

one hour max

per week to learn French

No no no! You need to integrate French

into your daily routine as much as possible.

Listen to the podcasts CoffeeBreak French

or News in Slow French during your daily commute

Do a bit of Duolingo during your coffee break, speak

as often as possible, listen to French music

while you are at the gym or running

Change your Netflix settings and watch your series in French

firstly with English subtitles and then with French ones

Try to make at least 5 points of contact with the language per day

That's how we make progress!

The 3rd thing to not do is not make the most of

your French boyfriend or

your French girlfriend.

People say it's the best way in the world to learn

French, to fall in love with a Frenchman

or a Frenchwomen

Sure, if you speak in French! Don't do as I did

I've been with my boyfriend for 5 years

and we speak exclusively in English

And of course his English is now

perfect and he's lost his French accent

My French, however, still needs

a little loving!

I tried several times to change

with my French boyfriend but I have the impression that

we don't know eachother

We lose our personal jokes,

our personalities...it's a vicious circle because

I have the impression that I'm not quite able

to be funny in French for example

But if I had spent the last 5 years

speaking French with him, we might expect

that I would have been able to by now

get my personality back.

The fourth and final

thing that I wanted to share with you

is to avoid speaking in French

at work like if it were the plague!

Again, I felt silly in French

as if I were

Less intelligent

Less impressive, less impactful, less able to negotiate

for example and it IS true, it's the case.

However, without working in

French, we never learn

such subtilities

in a book for example

You need to work in French to learn

how to work in French. It's as

simple as that. So don't do as I did

by resting in your comfort zone

and by targeting jobs in English

or your mother tongue

But dare to work in French

as I aim to do for my next role

Finally!

So all that just to say that it took me

4 years to start speaking like this but if you're

not a bad student like I was

you could count on it taking more like 2 years

if you continue to work in English

or study but if you work in French for example

or you immerse yourself completely

it's more like 6 months to a year

And of course the French respond to you

from time to time in English but my advice

is simply to continue speaking in French

Even if you feel silly

It's the principle! But in general I find

the French very generous on this point.

They compliment you a lot all the time

on your level of French, even if you're a beginner

My colleagues tell me a lot that I made progress

and that my accent is so charming

that it's not a problem

They're just so happy

that you're making an effort to learn their language that

they give you almost too much encouragement! It's so kind!

So that's all!

If you can stand my French and

you want me to continue

and want me to do, I don't know, one video per month or something like that

Please give me a thumbs up

or write a comment below!

Thanks again Emma for your question

Love you guys and see you in the next video

How To Contour & Highlight Like a Pro | Kim Kardashian Style - Glamrs Classics - Duration: 4:29.

Hi, I'm Pallavi Symons your makeup expert at Glamrs.com.

Well celebrity and scrutiny go hand-in-hand, and I think the person

that's most followed is Kim Kardashian for more reasons than one

But we have the Glamrs studio decided to focus on her makeup

which I think is perfect and immaculate at all times

and I think most people do wonder how she sculpts her skin so perfectly and

Maybe they also think that we don't have the kind of products that it takes to do that kind of sculpting

But I'm gonna show you in two parts how to sculpt and highlight your skin

just like Kim Kardashian and finish off with a kick-ass Kardashian look!

So what I'm starting with his her basic foundation.

Well, she's she's fairly a light skinned.

So I'm gonna make her a little warmer

Kardashian style!

So just to be careful. I don't get stuff on her clothes. I'm

putting a bit of tissue there, and I'm using a Studio Fix foundation in an NC 43 as her base.

Using a stippling brush, I'm just going to start with her neck

I'm gonna continue using the same color on her face as well, which is slightly maybe a couple of tones darker

Just work it into the hairline, so you don't see an edge

and if you're wearing a hairstyle that have your ears exposed

make sure you have a bit of foundation on the years as well.

So I'm starting with a contouring product

that's almost two tones darker than her own skin

or you can use something really dark, and then tone it down with powder and bronzers after.

It's a cream foundation.

So just bring it right down

the next would be the jawline.

I would do it a bit on the neck as well because the neck is exposed

and into the hairline around so it's like wrapping your face in a contouring product

Just make sure you have the product placed exactly on both sides

and always begin from the brow

along the bridge and into the brow

and colour the sides of the nose just a bit and the bottom is well

I'm going to use a cream concealer by M.A.C. It's called Studio Finish. It's an NC 35

It's a really light color, and it's great for highlighting. I'm going quite heavy

work close to the lash line

Now just lift the concealer right here on the temple just under where you did the contour, the first contour and

and work the colour down under the cheek into a slight 'V'

Now just wrap the colour around your nose as well right here on the Cupid's bow as well

Just make sure you have some of this on the sides of your mouth

So basically by a highlighting and contouring you're giving your face an instant facelift.

Just draw a really small thin line

along the bridge of your nose

Continuing with that right here in the middle of the forehead

So I'm just going to blend all that in soon, and you'll see what it does

That's pretty much where you need to place your contouring and highlighting products

for this look. So as you can see there's an immediate lift. Everything is just up there.

So now I'm going to use a stippling brush and blend it off.

So what I'm doing is I'm blending with such a light hand so it

doesn't displace the product. It simply kind of polishes it up.

So to set the highlighted areas,

I'm just going to use a soft yellow powder and work it in there almost just leaving it right there

all along the highlighted areas

Now over the rest of the face. I'm simply using a translucent powder

And this is a powder product so that will set the bronzed cream

So I'm just simply going over the areas that I've already bronzed before

and these are your main contoured areas of the skin.

Yeah, and that completes the beginning of Kim Kardashian's sculpted foundation and once this is done

we're going to go into the colour cosmetics to complete the makeup look.

Hope this video was helpful. Thanks for watching and until next time stay tuned stay Glamrs!

INFJ Personality Type | The World Rarest Personality Type - Duration: 3:40.

The World's Rarest Personality: INFJ Type Decoded

Out of the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types, INFJ type is believed to be the most rare.

These uncommon jewels of the personality spectrum make up less than one percent of the population.

I am not an INFJ, and to my knowledge, I have only befriended one INFJ in my life.

This is not surprising considering how few of them there are.

I have, however, seen many, many INFJ cartoons, memes and YouTube videos floating around on

the Internet.

This led me to do some research on these unique little snowflake personalities.

What I discovered was both fascinating and inspiring.

So, I thought I'd give all of you a peek into what INFJs are all about.

Who knows, you might just be one of them.

The most surprising thing about INFJs

One of the things that differentiates INFJs from other introverted types is their easy

and pleasant conversation style.

They are known for being great verbal communicators.

To most friends and acquaintances, the INFJ type seems very sociable and extroverted.

This can cause confusion when INFJs become overwhelmed and must withdraw from people.

In truth, INFJs are just like other introverts in the sense that they are very selective

with whom they consider real friends.

They like helping people (like, a lot)

"You are not here merely to prepare to make a living.

You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with

a finer spirit of hope and achievement.

You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand."

~Woodrow Wilson

INFJs feel it is their duty and purpose to help those in need.

They are often involved with charities and NGOs.

They are known for being warm altruists who genuinely care about the welfare of others.

"I am indeed a practical dreamer.

… I want to convert my dreams into realities as far as possible."

~ Mahatma Gandhi

INFJ types are decisive idealists, which means that their strong ideals are supported by

determined action.

Their decisiveness helps them to achieve their dreams and make a difference in the world.

Sensitive among sensitives

"Sometimes, she found the mystery of other people almost unbearable to contemplate: rooms

within rooms inside of each of them, an endless labyrinth of contradictory qualities, memories,

desires, mirroring one another like an Escher drawing, baffling as a conundrum."

~The Private Lives of Pippa Lee

"I am observant of other people's emotional states."

~ Cate Blanchett

Like most introverts, INFJs are highly sensitive to the feelings of others.

They take extra care to be mindful of other people's feelings.

They will go great lengths to avoid conflict or criticism.

INFJs are also highly perceptive of inner, unconscious processes.

Reading between the lines is their specialty.

Geez, don't they have any weaknesses?

Like other intuitive introverts, INFJs sometimes struggle with external sensing peception.

This means that they can become so absorbed in their inner world that they are oblivious

to the physical world (now this I can relate to).

The rarity of their personality type makes a lot of INFJs feel like they don't fit

in.

This might lead them to emulate a more common personality type, such as ESTP.

Here are some of Famous INFJs figure

Mother Teresa Martin Luther King, Jr.

Nelson Mandela Nicole Kidman

Mel Gibson Jimmy Carter

Goethe Cate Blanchett

Mahatma Gandhi Marilyn Manson

Lars von Trier
