Waching daily Dec 28 2017

You know when a glass sliding door is so sparkling

clean that you walk right into it?

No? Just me.

Well, 4K Ultra HD is that.

It is super-realistic, clear, crisp, ultra-high definition

picture with four times the pixels of a standard HD

resolution.

For the best at-home movie experience it has to be in 4K

Ultra HD.

These are this year's movies you need to see in 4K Ultra

HD, all of which you can watch on the all-new Amazon

Fire TV.

One of the year's strangest and most wildly imaginative

films from Bong Joon-ho now streaming on Netflix.

Alexa, find "Okja."

The film is a coming-of-age story, but also a scathing

satire of capitalism and animal-rights activism.

And the visuals are no joke: one Reddit thread said it

was a must-watch in 4K Ultra HD and with its sweeping

views of the lush Korean mountainside, not to mention

the stunning visual effects that make Okja feel so real,

we have to agree.

If you want to dive deep into learning more about a fast

vanishing natural wonder of the world, the Netflix

documentary is for you.

Alexa, find "Chasing Coral."

A team of divers, photographers, and scientists spend

more than three years shooting this doc about the crisis

of coral bleaching. If you want to impress your friends

and show them what all the 4K Ultra HD hype is about,

just this on. Trust us.

Another film from this year that was also a labor of love

comes from Netflix, which released Angelina Jolie's

best work as a director--a harrowing biopic set in 1975

Cambodia.

Alexa, find "First They Killed My Father."

The film's based on the memoir of human rights activist

Luong Ung, as she's forced to become a child soldier

by the Khmer Rouge regime. Jolie doesn't hold back

from showing us the atrocities of this opressive regime,

as we witness the most horrific sequences from Ung's

perspective.

Angelina Jolie's ex-counterpart was one of the

producers on a war film this year, though with a very

different tone, and from a polar opposite perspective.

Alexa, find "War Machine."

A satirical comedy based on the nonfiction book "The

Operators" by late journalist Michael Hastings. Pitt plays

a proud and zany four-star general named Glen

McMahon, a fictionalize version of disgraced former US

Army general Stanley McChrystal.

McMahon is sent to Afghanistan to try and win an

unending war--a task that seems impossibe on all fronts

from trying to inspire jaded soldiers to dealing with

Washington bureaucrats. In 4K Ultra HD, America's

15-year war becomes less abstract, with all its

absurdities and tragedies made real in a new way.

If you live breathtaking views of nature and an

incredible trip to the past, you need to check out the

Lost City of Z, an Amazon Studios original

now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Honestly, the making of the movies sounds as

dramatic as the story itself. When filmmaker James

Gray wrote to Francis Ford Coppola for advice on filming

in the junge, the great director had two words for him:

"Don't go."

These are just a few of the can't miss films from the

last year that need to be seen in 4K Ultra HD on

Amazon Fire TV.

In the meantime, it looks like we might need to stock up

on some more popcorn.

Alexa, add popcorn to my shopping list.

Understanding Cause and Effect by Alan Watts - Duration: 10:22.

so you remember the Great Depression when it was a slump and what did we have

a slump of money there was no less wealth no less energy no less raw

materials in the world before but it's like you came to build work on building

a house one day and they said sorry you can't build this house today

no inches you mean no inches I've just inches we don't mean how we got inches

of lumber yes we got inches of metal we've even got tape measures but there's

a slump in inches or such see and people are that crazy the day

they can have a depression because they've got no inches to go around or no

dollars that's all a lot of mountains but you see because we get thinking

backwards and making the metaphysical tale mat wag the dog making the law rule

things whereas it doesn't it smithy a way of measuring what happens and so

you see when you get into ballistic thought you don't get that confusion the

other way or the other way round so you're looking at a system where to go

back to the Buddha's words this arises that becomes which is a way of saying

you can't have this without that you can't have here without there you

wouldn't know we're here was unless you knew where there was and they come into

being together you don't get first here and then there or first there and then

here these arise interdependently that's the meaning of inter dependent

origination and to grasp the idea of inter dependent origination is as

important as the idea about seeing how things are related by space and

intervals and seeing therefore that you tend to look at life from a myopic point

of view and see details see the trees and not the forest see yourself as

something loosely related to everything else that's going on and not integral to

it you see the figure but ignore the

background but the figure in the background arise mutually they are to

each other as this is to that and so we really have to rid our brains of the

notion of causality the notion of causality being that present sets of

circumstances are the result of past sets of circumstances and that therefore

certain events which are called causes are responsible for following events

called effects and all this is an enormous piece of mumbo-jumbo because

what is not seen and what is not clear in thinking that way is that in physical

nature there are no separate events so startling to people but it's really

quite easy to see that there are no events in nature because you can ask

very simply let's take something called an event how do we Demark it from other

events at what point shall we say were you born were you born at parturition or

when the doctor slapped you on the bottom or cut the umbilical cord or when

you were conceived or when your father and mother were first attracted to each

other when was it when did you begin there's no way of deciding except

arbitrarily and for legal purposes we say you were born at parturition and

that's when the astrologer casts your horoscope accept that other astrologers

disagree and want the conception time and say that's the real beginning there

isn't a real beginning it goes back and back and back in an inseparable

continuity when are you dead that's another big argument and you couldn't

all you can get all kinds of ideas about that

so what once you see that an event is a term in an intellectual calculus

calculus being the way of measuring say curved formations by reducing them to

point instance and Counting it you see but actually the point instance our

imaginary the curve Wiggles along and it doesn't start out from point to point

but in calculus you make it do that so just as the there are no point instance

in the curve so there are no events in nature nature is a constantly

fluctuating pattern you can only designate particular Wiggles in a

pattern arbitrarily you can count a convex formation as one wiggle or a

concave formation as one wiggle then you decide if you call it one way well if

you give the convex properties the title of wiggle you have to deny it to the

concave properties and vice-versa so when you see that what we call separate

events don't exist it becomes nonsense to speak of one

event causing another what you really mean is that the two events which you

speak of is being causally related are simply two parts of the same event they

go with each other in the same way as this with that the relationship is not

causal it is mutual and it works two ways in time

because future so-called future events

are not merely passive to past events but you could easily see when for

example any biological process goes on

you can reason just as well from the future to the past is from the past of

the future why do two mammals have sexual

intercourse well it isn't just that they enjoy it it's also that they're a very

complex system which does this because it makes babies and the prospect of baby

works in Reverse and creates desire you can reason that way or it's silly

because the whole process is one and when we speak humanly and purposively I

am going downtown to buy groceries then a future event could be said to be the

cause of why you're now starting out to get into the car buying groceries and

the the difficulty we have in seeing this to be so is that we think in an

either/or way which is what is called dualism in Hindu Buddhist thought and

that liberation is being free from dualism so when you think in an

either/or way you see the figures in the background as moving and therefore being

responsible for their action but if somebody argues the other way around say

the figures are just following lines of force in the field gravitational

principles say we're all human beings you see we're all concentrated on our

fact that we're individually rushing around and doing this and that but we

don't see that we're equally sucked and that we move around in response to all

sorts of stimuli

but neither position is adequate you have to see that our being sucked by all

sorts of stimuli is exactly the same thing as our apparently voluntary and

deliberate action because what we're looking at is not this Newtonian game of

billiards where balls roll because they are hit by cues what we're involved in

is a dance well for example watch a snake when a snake swims there's nothing

more beautiful than watching a snake swim in water

lovely motion but you see it Wiggles along and it's wiggle is conceivable you

see as convex or was it concave this way and that way and this way and that way

now which side of the snake moves first when it Wiggles it's very easy to see

there now when we may act interact with the world what moves first who starts it

the objective world or the subjective world but they are related as this to

that you can't have an object without a subject or a subject without an object

and of something known without the knower and that gives the show away

there isn't any real distinction between the knower and the known there's two

ways of looking at something yes two poles of a single process but the knower

and the known are subsumed as the knowing and all life is knowing

15 Unspoken Rules For Having Friends With An Introvert - Duration: 4:57.

15 Unspoken Rules For Having Friends With An Introvert

Socialization is always tricky, and it becomes even more problematic when it comes to a relation

between introverts and extroverts.

Indeed, introverts may be outgoing sometimes.

However, some introverts really do not want to hang out at all.

Therefore, you should know what rules you should know when you have an introverted friends.

However, as some people stated, "opposites attract".

Introverts and extroverts may on the opposite ends of the personality spectrum, but they

often attract each other, it is probably due to human nature, they tend to envy on each

other personality.

And when you think of it, surely it makes total sense.

If you happen to have an introverted best friends, here are some unspoken rules for

having friends with an introvert.

Before we jump to the lists, make sure to like this video and subscribe to our channel,

so you won't miss any of our interesting updates in the future.

#1 - Avoid crowd

If you want to ask introverts to go out, you should not make it a group trip.

Instead, go for a walk one-on-one.

This keeps the introverts from being intimidated and drained.

Thus, you can have good quality time with them.

#2 - They need oodles of advance notice.

Last minute invites are not their cup of tea.

In fact, they hate it, and often think about it as personal invasion.

It's all to do with a particular type of energy again which is often called extrovert

energy supply, because you know, unlike extrovert they have limited energy.

#3 - They might not show up at your party.

You must know that introverts often drained a lot whenever it comes to party, considering

that they almost wanted to cancel every party they ever hosted, it is no surprise that they

often do not want to go to other people's event either.

They always think like, they do have some extrovert energy to spend, but it's very limited.

When it's used up, then it is gone for that day.

#4 - Silence means processing

Introverts think deeply on something.

Be sure to wait for introverts to collect their thoughts.

#5 - Little time is better

Introverts do not like to chit chat.

However, they want special moment though it only lasts a few minutes.

#6 - Encouragement is needed

Introverts get negative feedback from people often.

If you have introvert friends, be sure to treat them better by encouraging them.

It can go a long way before they open up, but encouragement definitely makes introvert

less intimidated.

#7 - Don't invite others

Introverts are somewhat strict to what they have heard.

Do not make them disappointed by asking more people to hang out with.

Reducing the count is always acceptable, but adding more people is not.

#8 - Introverts can get lost

It is pretty common that you are left since the introverts wander their minds.

However, you just need to wait and do not ask things like, "where did you go".

#9 - Introverts like talking too

They are still human, but they need a proper stage before talking.

This is the limit that most people do not understand, and a good friend should know

when your introverted friends can talk.

#10 - Do not chat too much

Chatting to introverts should not be too intense since they need space too.

Some introverts also prefer small high-quality time instead of continuous exposure.

#11 - Preparing mental before hanging out

Introverts need to prepare themselves before they are ready to hang out with others.

Charging the mental to kick in takes a while, and a good friend should notice this.

#12 - Schedule first

Though introverts may like you, they do not like surprise especially when you arrive at

their home suddenly.

Therefore, it is a good idea to schedule first and stick with it.

#13 - Introverts don't text back quickly.

It is mentally draining to just return the message.

Be patient to wait since the introverts are still organizing the words before saying something

to you.

#14 - Avoid frequent hanging out

Hanging out with introverts should not be done frequently since they need to recharge

their energy in between.

#15 - They mean what they say

Sometimes, you insist to ask introverts to go out.

Unfortunately, it is not good habit since introverts tend to be straightforward especially

when it comes to gathering and hanging out.

All in all, that's the 15 unspoken rules for having friends with an introvert .

Really cool information isn't it!

How to Attach Respirator Cartridges to Dual Cartridge Reusable Respirators - Duration: 3:36.

One of the more frequent questions we get calls about is how to attach replacement cartridges

to reusable respirators.

So in this video, we're going to show you: The different pieces and parts of replacement

cartridges.

How to attach the replacement cartridge to the respirator.

How to use the prefilter with a cartridge and as a stand-alone filter.

For our demonstration today, we have a Moldex 7000 series respirator.

Mounts for this respirator are the same as the Moldex 9000 full-face respirator, as well

as the 3M 6000 and 7000 series respirators.

So the general attachment of cartridges to the respirator will be the same.

However, one item to take note is that even though the mounting is similar, cartridges

cannot be interchanged between different brand respirators.

You'll need to use 3M cartridges with your 3M respirator, Moldex cartridges with a Moldex

respirator and so on.

We'll start by reviewing the pieces and then we'll show you how they're put together.

The first piece is the actual respirator itself without cartridges installed.

Organic vapor cartridge.

The N95 pre-filter.

P100 pre-filter or stand-alone filter.

The P100 adapater.

Before we start our demonstration, if you're in need of respirators, replacement cartridges

or filters, you can find a large selection of these items at GEMPLERS.COM.

Now, to attach the replacement cartridge to the respirator.

Take the respirator.

This is an easy bayonet style.

It will slide over the barbs on the respirator.

Quarter turn, it's on.

Same thing for the other side.

Quarter turn, its on.

You now have a complete unit.

Now that we have our organic vapor cartridges installed on the respirator, we're going to

add the N95 pre-filter.

Please make sure, these are marked this side away from face.

That's going to go face down into that pre-filter cover.

Press fitting.

Also make sure that there's no folds or bends in the pre-filter.

And you now have a N95 dust particulate pre-filter over the top of your organic vapor cartridge.

Okay, we have our respirator with the replacement cartridges installed.

Now we're going to put a P100 pre-filter on top of this.

First thing you'll need is the adapter.

That's a press fitting.

The P100 is a bayonet style as well.

Adapter for the other side.

You now have a P100 pre-filter installed.

So now we have the half mask respirator without the cartridges installed.

So we've removed the actual organic vapor cartridge and now we're going to install the

P100 as a stand-alone instead of a pre-filter.

Again very simple.

Pre-filter goes directly on to the half mask.

And now you have a dust mask.

That's how to attach replacement cartridges to your half- and full-mask respirators.

When its time to get pick up a new respirator, replacement cartridges or filters, visit gemplers.com.

You'll find more respirators, cartridges and filters in stock.

And if you have any additional questions about this or other products we sell, give our technical

product tech a call or shoot them an e-mail.

New Processing Barn Tour - Duration: 9:05.

Hi, I'm Dave Sjeklocha. I'm the operations manager of animal health and welfare here for Cattle Empire.

Hi, I'm Tera Barnhardt and I'm the coordinator of Animal Health and Welfare here at Cattle Empire.

DAVE: We're here today because we are going to put some cattle through our newest processing barn.

We've put a lot of effort into developing processing facilities that are good for our cattle

and this is our newest processing barn. It utilizes what we call the bud box system.

We're gonna go through the system so everyone can see how a bud box works

TERA: Processing facilities are used when we bring cattle to the feed yard for the first time.

So they are ran through this facility when they arrive here so that we can give them their vaccinations,

we can give them some parasitical to get rid of any, you know, to deworm them.

We can give them their identification and any other processing protocol

that we outline as veterinarians for our employees.

So the animals are only brought through here when they they first arrive at the yard

and then they're taken to their home pen shortly after that.

DAVE: So if you'll follow us we'll take you through our new processing barn

and show you how the cattle are going to be put through the system

so we can keep our stress on our cattle at a minimum and handle them as gently as possible.

DAVE: Okay so the cattle will be held in this pen before we take them into the processing barn.

The workers will come out here and grab just a few at a time

and take them into the processing barn. So from here we'll walk toward the processing barn.

We built this facility with this gate purposefully to be in an angle.

So the cattle would not have a square corner to go into.

So that provides an angle so as the cattle come out of the pen there's a nice gentle flow around the corner here.

And of course this gate will be open will bring cattle into the bud box.

And this is what we call the bud box. it's just a big, a fairly good-sized pen that the cattle will come into.

The goal is to have them go down to the far end of the bud box. So come on step on in.

Once the cattle are in the bud box, we'll shut this gate.

So the goal is that the cattle will come in, they'll go down to this end while the worker shuts the gate

and when they go to this end they'll pause and realize there's not a way out.

So they'll be looking for another way out.

So the workers should come up along this fence and just put a little bit of pressure on them.

And the cattle will go down that wall and come up against the gate we just closed.

And they will flow down, here come up against this gate and then go up this alleyway.

This is a Daniel's alleyway. It's adjustable. These sides adjust in and this top rail can adjust up and down.

So we can literally put 300-pound calves or 1,400 pound calves through this facility.

and adjust it to the size of that animal.

TERA: So once the cattle enter the alleyway, they will come in here,

and the workers will make sure that they're moving smoothly through this part of the processing area.

The cattle will walk up to the chute, where the chute is designed for human and animal safety.

So we want to make sure that we can restrain the animals so that the animal feels safe

and so that the humans can work with the animal in a safe manner.

So the animals will enter the chute one by one. This is called a squeeze chute,

and so it will put a little pit of pressure on the animal to hold them still.

This part of the chute actually holds their neck so that we can put the ear tags in them

or administer any vaccinations that we need to do. And then this is all opened up and

the animals are allowed to exit the chute and go to a pen full of hay and water.

DAVE: This is a hydraulic squeeze chute. It's made by a company called Silencer.

It has lots of contact points here that have basically a shock absorber on them,

so it's not loud when you close it it doesn't clang; it doesn't bang.

One of the many misconceptions about hydraulic chutes is that

we can just put lots of pressure on a calf with the hydraulics,

but the fact is there's hydraulic pressure relief valves on these squeeze chutes

that when a certain amount of pressure is reached, that relief valve kicks in and doesn't allow any more pressure

to be applied to the calf. So it does hold the calf still so we can work on him

and do the procedures we need to do, but it's safer for the calf and safer for the people to have him held still.

Another unique detail that we have with this chute,

most of our other hydraulic chutes actually raise up above the floor

which makes it a little tougher for cattle flow because the calves actually have to step up to be in the chute.

It's only a four or five inch step, but it's still a step, so with this chute we've actually recessed it into the floor

so the calves come from this alleyway it's a smooth level transition into the squeeze chute.

That's going to help cattle flow and then the recess also helps us to keep the area clean

because any manure the calf may drop will not land on the main floor

it'll drop into this pit area that's that's drained with water.

TERA: You might have noticed that a lot of our concrete has these deep grooves built into it

and that just gives the cattle a better and safer footing.

Sometimes when we're working cattle it gets pretty messy in here and there can be mud and things like that

And so this just makes sure that they have something safe and stable for them to walk on

so that they're not slipping or falling.

Animal Welfare and Animal Care is a big priority of ours.

So when you're designing a facility like this you have to take all those things into consideration.

TERA: This is one of the computers that is in the new barn.

All of our cattle when they are processed go through our computer system

and it allows us to manage them more closely from the health standpoint and a feeding standpoint.

So one thing at the processing barn that the computer allows us to do is we can scan the tags

using these readers right here that are on the chute and it scans the tag that we put into the animal

and then it pops up on the computer screen all of that animals individual information is there

We can record a weight at the time of arrival

and then we can monitor that animal's weight throughout the feeding period

and so I think part of our job the computer is a pretty important part of it that helps us manage the animals accurately

and make sure that that we're taking good care of them.
