Husband of woman killed by dogs on Christmas Eve condemns owner: 'I hold you responsible'

The husband of a woman killed by two dogs on Christmas Eve said he wants the owner to be held accountable for his wifes horrifying death.

Johnny Saylor found his wife Lorraine Brock Saylor in front of their home in Bell County, Ky., Sunday morning after she was attacked by two dogs.

Saylor told WATE-TV that his wife of 38 years was outside feeding their cats, when he noticed she was gone for longer than usual.

He stepped onto their front porch, where the dogs attacked him.

Saylor ran into the house and grabbed a .22-caliber pistol and went back outside, where he shot one of the dogs in the chest as it jumped at him.

The dog ran from the scene.

He told the station he checked his wifes pulse.

She was weak and about 105 pounds, Saylor told WATE-TV.

I said, Oh God! Oh no! Please no! I checked her pulse just in case..

Sheriffs deputies in Bell County, Ky.

, said Lorraine Brock Saylor suffered severe injuries and was dead at the scene.

The owner of the dogs, Johnny Dale Lankford, 42, had been in a local detention center after being charged Friday with domestic violence and unlawful imprisonment.

He now faces another charge of harboring a vicious animal, the sheriffs department said.

Saylor said he hopes Lankford, who is one of his neighbors, will face justice.

Im sure he will see this.

But most importantly, Nella (played by Anya Taylor-Joy) finally learned the identity of the miniature model maker and why she had been sending her tiny replicas of the furniture in her home.  After chasing the miniaturist (Emily Berrington) through the streets of Amsterdam, Nella demanded answers and was finally given an insight into the model maker's world.  However in the novel, written by Jessie Burton, Nella never meets the miniaturist but is instead confronted by her father.  Explaining the major plot change, executive producer Kate Sinclair said: "The main character of the title, The Miniaturist, doesn't appear a huge amount in the book and we felt that that was a slight oversight.

"We felt it wasn't right for this story and we didn't want our audience to feel cheated.

" "So John [Brownlow] has written a very beautiful scenes where the two of them meet and Nella finds out more about who she is and why she's doing what she's doing.

" It comes after Alex Hassell, who starred as Johannes Brandt, revealed that Nella's parakeet Peebo, wasn't really a parakeet.

"It's actually a parrot," he told press including Express.co.uk. "But for all intents and purposes, it's a parakeet.
