gonna put him in the title so I don't cook baby or not but it is Tony Robbins

I'm acting like heck right now but he says you overestimate what you can get

done in a year and underestimate what you can get done in ten years so I

walked into Community College almost 10 years ago this is a Tony Robbins thing I

I I want to kind of counter my fear going outside so that's my that's my

building I've been here for two two and a half years but you know you got to

keep on going forward just a step take it take a step every day you know one of

my favorite quotes is journey of a thousand miles starts with one step and

then what's kind of been in my head lately is this Tony Robbins quote

alright heard it from him says that you are you underestimate what you can get

done in 10 years but you what you overestimate what you can get done in a

year so I'm about 8 months I started in August 2008 I walked in Community

College for the third well I walked into University

our College for the third time I went to university failed out like right after

high school then about when I was 25 were like seven

years later I went to Community College and dropped out of there so I took my

lessons and it is December of 2017 so it's been nine years four months it's

kind of weird because that's what my lease my lease is up here and then I'm

gonna have been at this office this beautiful this beautiful office for

three years when this when this lease is up I mean I've been here for three years

this August coming up this August August of 2018 and so that's gonna be 10 years

and and I'm gonna have something even better than this spot here you know I'm

gonna have something way better than this but in 10 years so 10 years ago I

walked into Community College that was a broken person I didn't really ever tried

anything you know I had nothing no really legal skills I am you know before

I went to college I always just work to manually when I worked I just worked a

manual labor job for eight bucks I would work my wife like

ten bucks an hour so anyway so where I am where I'm going to be in eight more

months you know I'm gonna I'm gonna have a smashing smashing tax season this year

and so yeah I'm gonna have you know my kind of compound I'm gonna have a house

with with a you know a studio and then I can just all whole house hopefully

hopefully I'll have that that place that I was doing from the garage hopefully

that I'll be mine the whole house come next August it just seems like from

where I was in ten years you know just because I always kept going you know

year year by year so just start you know you'll be amazed

cuz year by year seemed like I wasn't getting anywhere you know one year yes I

graduated community college got my a that was nice but I still did three more

years so I did four years of university you know of college four years so it's

like that second you know what were you over asked me what you can do is it

feels like I felt like I should have been making money but I wasn't you know

it took a while so the thing is you know don't get discouraged if you don't seem

like you're going anywhere you can definitely go you know if you just keep

on putting up one foot in front of the other so year to year I didn't really do

that great of that biggest stuff it's it's you know you want to do more but in

ten years ten years time I'm gonna do a ten years you know August of next year

when I'm in my new place because I'm not renewing this Leif's I feel like three

years it's time to move on so the ten years is gonna be amazing from where I

went you know to where just because I kept

going just like putting a foot one foot in front of the other for ten years it's

amazing where you can go and and you do not have to be perfect in those ten

years like a professional a professional career life college and a professional

career life like accounting and stuff and I guess this YouTube too because I'm

making money at it but I didn't start ten years ago but I did start learning

accounting you know I wasn't perfect I mean for the first five years of my ten

years I was still partying I mean some semesters I would drop a couple classes

but I went all year round so this is way long enough but the point is just keep

on going just keep on putting one foot in for and the other one foot in front

of the other just keep on going forward you know sometimes you're just gonna

you're gonna keep climb forward and you're gonna go one step up three steps

down and you're like paying I'm telling you just keep climbing because then then

then a time you're gonna make three steps forward and two steps down and

then you're gonna do that a couple times and

you know you don't have to be perfect you just have to keep going so I know

it's not it doesn't seem like you're getting anywhere but it will anyways

I want to share a story with you today.

And it's my story . . .

and my wife's story.

My wife was about

seven months pregnant

with twins.

Crazy excited.

Boy and a girl.

We have

three other daughters

so we get the best of both worlds.

And my wife's appendix ruptures.

Impossible situation.

God got my wife through.

She survived that.

Our twins survived.

But about three weeks later,

the toxins got to our son

and he died.

Less than 24 hours later,

I'm preaching.

I gotta share Jesus

with, with

everyone inside the church.

Share with my own heart.

And with my wife.

I cried for 34 days straight.

Broken.

Christmas was different.

The light was still there,

but it was,

it was dimmed.

And I think a lot of you

know what I'm talking about.

For a lot of you, Christmas is different.

Maybe you just lost a loved one and

you're in that moment of pain

and weakness and tears.

After I preached,

and I broke down.

I can't count the number of times

in that sermon

right after our son died,

and someone came up to me said,

"It's okay. I've,

it's 12 years since I've lost mom and I'm,

I'm still crying."

Christmas can be dark.

It can it can be hard

when

there's an empty chair

where grandpa or grandma used to sit.

Or for me, an empty arm.

As I'm holding my daughter, Maggie,

that God blessed us

and she survived

and she's our heart healer

and every once in a while I'm

carrying her through the house

and I'm just a joy-filled and

I realized this arm's empty.

And maybe for you there's a crib

empty

in your home,

or a womb

that's empty that

a child never was that

you want so dearly,

and the tears flow.

There's two things I want to share with you.

One,

there's nothing wrong with tears.

Tears are not you,

as a Christian, being weak.

It's how God built us

to get the emotions out.

Even Jesus,

who was going to raise Lazarus

from death to life,

he knew he was going to do that,

Jesus still wept.

Tears,

they're ok.

They're releasing.

And then you know that you can either get bitter,

or you can get better.

God's word that I,

I constantly went to

in my darkness

I want to share with you.

Jeremiah 29:

God's plan was not my plan.

We prayed so hard for our son to survive.

God's plan was different.

But in his way, in his wisdom,

it was a way to prosper me,

not to harm me.

To draw me closer to him.

And it has.

Life is different.

I'm a better dad now

to my four children that I have.

I'm a better husband now

to my wife.

I'm a better pastor now.

I'm a better counselor now.

All that came from this loss.

But then I was found deeper in Jesus.

I didn't get bitter.

I got better.

God has plans for you.

Plans to prosper you

and hold you.

If you're hurting at Christmastime,

fall into God's arms.

He will keep you.

When you're in pain,

a great way to get peace

is just by sharing.

Sharing your loss with others

and getting support from them.

What Happens When You Spray Vinegar on Plants?

Vinegar concentrates are effective organic herbicides with almost immediate results.

Spraying the solution directly on a weed eliminates the waxy cuticle from the foliage that protects

the plant cells from water loss.

This causes the grass to dry to the roots.

Unfortunately, if the sprinkler touches a valuable garden plant, it will kill that plant

also through drying out.

Avoid misdirecting the spray by applying early in the morning before the wind picks up or

concentrating the vinegar mist through a cardboard tube or a paper cup with a cut in the bottom.

Household vinegar versus commercial vinegar

The acetic acid component of vinegar causes the burning of the cuticle of a plant.

As homemade vinegar is only 5 percent acetic acid, it is not strong enough to kill resistant

and mature weeds.

Commercial grade vinegar based food herbicides contain 20 percent acetic acid.

Often, these products have soap or added lemon juice for greater adhesion and penetration

power.

If the offensive weeds have not advanced beyond the sprouting stage, sprinkling with household

vinegar can eliminate them, although more than one application may be necessary.

Direct application

One advantage of using vinegar concentrates instead of chemical herbicides is that the

only plants that damage are those with foliage coated, so they will not damage the underground

bulbs or the roots of nearby trees.

Within 24 hours after spraying, any remaining vinegar will have evaporated, so it is safe

to plant even delicate seedlings in the treated area.

Vinegar-based products can be applied as contact herbicides, they can be sprayed directly on

unwanted plants or, less frequently, as a pot for the soil, sinking into the soil that

surrounds them.

Use tips

According to reports, vinegar and acetic acid can stain concrete, as well as some types

of stone, so do not spray near driveways, hallways or patios.

Vinegar-based herbicides work best when the weather is hot and dry, and the temperature

rises to over 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

If forecasters predict rain or plan to water shortly, do not spray, because the solution

could be removed from the plants.

This could result not only in the failure to kill the weeds but could also benefit them

by releasing nitrogen and other nutrients into the soil.

Changes in soil pH

If the vinegar concentrates are added to the soil instead of sprinkling on the foliage

of the plants, they eliminate the weeds by reducing the pH of the soil to a level that

can not sustain the plants.

Depending on the type of soil and climate, this acidifying effect can take from a few

months to a year.

Before their primary roots succumb to starvation, weeds often have a final flow of growth of

nutrients stored in the roots.

Once the weeds are dead, you must return the soil pH to neutral.

Do this by adding 5 pounds of lime per 100 square feet, plus a compost layer 3 to 4 inches

deep to restore microorganisms.

How To Install A Fence - Duration: 4:37.

Whether your dogs need a safe place to play or you'd like some extra privacy, a panel

fence is a great addition to your home.

Save yourself the expense of hiring a pro by building one yourself.

It's not an easy job, but it's a satisfying one.

And it should only take a weekend.

When taking on this DIY task be sure to equip yourself with the proper safety gear.

Throughout the video, we'll alert you regarding when you should and should not use the safety gear.

Step 1: Plan

There's no way to sugarcoat it: building a fence is hard work.

That's why it's important to plan ahead.

Start by researching local building codes so your fence won't have to be modified--or

worse yet, taken down—later.

You'll also need to find out if you'll need a permit to build it.

Once you've figured everything out, choose a location for your fence.

Measure and mark exactly where you want it to begin and end, as well as the location

of the first post.

Keep in mind that end panels will cover the first and last post, and inside panels will

meet halfway at each post.

Step 2: Set first post

Dig the hole for your post, then add four to six inches of gravel to the bottom of the

post hole.

Measure and mark your first post two feet from the bottom, extending the mark with a

quick square.

Set your post in place, then add or remove gravel until it's exactly where you want

it.

Using a four or six-foot level to make sure it's straight, secure with eight-foot one-by-fours

and stakes.

Step 3: Stake a line

Stake a line from your first post to where your last post will be located.

For our project, we attached our fence to an already-existing one, so we tied our line

to the connecting post.

Step 4: Mark and dig postholes

Mark each posthole with a stake.

Remove the line and start digging your holes with a posthole digger or power auger.

To keep your fence steady, a good rule of thumb is to bury about a third of each post.

But if you live in a windy area, we recommend burying up to half of it.

For our project, which features eight-foot posts, we're digging post holes about three

feet deep with room for gravel at the bottom of each for drainage.

Step 5: Install last end post

Add some extra gravel and set the last post in place.

Once the post is at the right height, measure or use your guide board so the outside edge

aligns with the mark you made in step two.

Mark the center of the post to make sure your panels will be properly aligned, then brace

into place.

Step 6: Brace last end post

Use eight-foot one-by-fours to brace each post in two directions.

Check for plumb with a level on two adjacent sides, then attach each with two-inch screws.

Don't worry if you don't get it right the first time.

You may have to back your screws out a couple times before it's perfect.

Step 7: Level and brace remaining posts

Add gravel to each post hole and set the other posts into place, adjusting gravel as necessary.

Measure so the eight-foot-wide panels meet in the middle of each post, then brace, double

checking to make sure your posts are exactly where you want them.

Finish by adding dry concrete and water to each hole according to manufacturer's instructions.

Step 8: Remove braces and backfill

Once your concrete is set, add dirt back around the posts, and remove temporary supports.

Step 9: Add temporary panel supports

Working one panel section at a time, mark each post where the line is stretched.

Detach your lines and, reusing your stakes, attach temporary panel supports to your marks

with two-inch screws.

Step 10: Cut panels

Mark the top points of the panel on each post, then transfer the measurements--making any

necessary cuts—so the panel follows the natural grade of the ground while remaining

level at the top.

Step 11: Attach panels and gate

Make it easy on yourself by pre-drilling and starting a four-inch construction screw into

the top rail of each panel.

Set the panel into place on its temporary support and fasten the screw where your rails

intersect the post.

Drill pilot holes and fasten six screws per panel, removing temporary supports as you

work your way down the fence line.

If you're installing a gate as well, have a friend level it between posts and align

it with adjacent panels.

Leave a three-fourths-inch gap between the gate and post on each side, then screw the

hinges to the post and gate.

After fastening a couple bolts, check the swing before installing your remaining hardware

to ensure a good fit.

Your project is done!

Step back and admire your new fence.
