Waching daily Dec 4 2017

Despite great open source alternatives, Oracle Database skills remain in high demand on the

job market.

But installing Oracle from scratch on your home computer is a tedious task.

Especially when you are in the process of learning how to use Oracle.

Hopefully, you can leverage Docker to install an Oracle Database instance with minimum efforts,

and that, without requiring too many resources on your computer.

Well...

...with minimum efforts--and a good share of patience...

In this video, I assume you have a recent version of Docker already

installed on your computer.

If this is not the case, take a look at my previous video that explains Docker installation

on a Linux box in great details.

Anyway, you can download a pre-installed image of Oracle from the Docker hub.

As of myself, I found the official image provided by Oracle Corporation painful to install,

so I will use an image from Maksym Bilenko instead:

With more than 2 gigabytes to download, and depending on the speed of your internet connection,

this step might require a very looooong time to complete.

At least, one hour later, the Oracle docker image has finally arrived here.

And we are now able to create a container from that image.

The first time the Oracle container is started, you will need a little bit more patience the

time it performs its initial setup.

Few minutes later...

...finally, this time it's ready to use.

So let's start the venerable Oracle sqlplus command line tool in the context of that container

to issue our first commands:

It's not really impressive maybe, but if you've gone that far, that means Oracle is up and

running.

And you have established a connection you can use to query the database.

Of course, you will not work as database administrator for your daily work.

It would be like working as root by default on your Linux box.

Certainly NOT a best practice.

So we will immediately create a new user.

Things used to be a little bit simpler before, but Oracle deprecated the CONNECT and RESOURCE

roles--because they were too coarse-grained.

you can still see many tutorials using them.

But it is commonly admitted now they give too many privileges to the user.

But let's close that parenthesis for now, and connect ourselves to the Oracle instance

with that username in order to create a new dummy table for testing purposes.

And that's proved it: you have now a working instance of Oracle database ready for you

to practice using the SQL plus command line interface.

But I agree, this is not that fun.

Maye you would prefer using some nice GUI tool to do that?

The good news is such a tool is already available in the container.

The bad news is that requires a little bit of setup and configuration to be usable from

there.

And that will be the subject of a next video.

So, see you soon!

How To Lower High Blood Pressure Naturally - Duration: 12:22.

To learn about the life saving benefits

of Nitric Oxide therapy just clicdk on

the link below this video there is a

health care crisis in America and around

the world it centers on cardiovascular

disease in fact the number one killer

of men and women worldwide is cardiovascular

disease and this applies equally to men

and women in every ethnic community but

what if there was a way to address this

naturally with a nutritional supplement

that incorporates Nobel prize winning

research and is recognized by the medical

community one that has been specifically

designed to help improve cardiovascular

health and comes with a hundred and twenty

day money back guarantee would you have

interest in learning more about a product

that is effectively addressing these

types of health concerns take for example

Norma callum who was sent home to get

his affairs in order norm was given a

couple of months to live because the

medical community had no more treatment

options since his heart was too weak

for any kind of major surgery to address

the five blockages in his heart s vascular

system norm search for answers outside

of the medical community and came across

prize nine plus he incorporated this

product into his lifestyle and has experienced

remarkable improvements initially norm

couldn t walk to his mailbox without

being exhausted now he walks 80 minutes

every other day he s off half his medications

and where he couldn t travel outside

his home now norm travels outside the

country norms been on priceline plus for

over a year he s living a productive

life well beyond a couple of months he

was given can project plus do this for

every person who takes this product we

don t make that claim but our experience

with this proxy us that we can help a

lot of people Donald Clark would be another

great example of the power of nourishing

the interior lining of all of your cardiovascular

system that lining is called the endothelium

and it regulates most of your cardiovascular

health in 1998 the nobel prize in medicine

was awarded to three american researchers

for their discovery and how this endothelium

converts the semi essential amino acid

a large nine into nitric oxide the master

signaling molecule of your entire cardiovascular

system nitric oxide has three critically

important functions or benefits to your

vascular system first it relaxes the

smooth muscle of the vascular wall causing

vasodilation for improved blood flow

which also helps to maintain normal blood

pressure second nitric oxide keeps blood

platelet cells from sticking together

to naturally lower your risk for strokes

and heart attacks third at high enough

levels nitric oxide will initiate repaired

of mechanisms to heal damage done to

the endothelium this can result in the

reversal of plaque formations and calcification

to help return the vascular system to

a younger and more flexible state given

this information Donald Clark s doctor

suggested that he used a large nine to

help address his severe PA D which is

peripheral arterial disease this disease

drastically reduced Donald s mobility

after six weeks on an l arginine supplement

Donald showed considerable improvements

in 2012 Donald started using progeny

plus and saw additional improvements at

the time of this recording Donald s follow

up visit to his clinic showed that his

arteries were now is clear as a 29 year

old and since Donald was 66 years at

the time you can understand how grateful

he is to come across this product and

information on what is called nitric

oxide therapy and while we are a bit biased

about prior joint plus because we ve

seen how effective this proc can be in

helping people improve their vascular

health it s nice to know that the medical

community sees this product as the best

in the world in 2014 progeny plus was

listed in the physicians Desk Reference

witch doctors used for guidelines on

what they recommend to their patients

it s the only nitric oxide l arginine

supplement listed and this exclusive listing

is also in the 2015 physicians Desk Reference

in fact the exact first line is this

quote re plus is the highest quality a

large nine supplement in the world end

of quote that s a pretty significant

endorsement for a nutritional supplement

but it makes sense when you understand

the design and quality control that goes

into this product but before we talk

about this I d like to ask you a question

how many of you who are listening and

watching this presentation either have

or know someone who has high blood pressure

typically when we asked this question

in any group presentation more than half

and sometimes almost all the participants

in that group raised their hand this

was the case for sherry hammer whose blood

pressure was 160 over 90 she was faced

with the choice to go either on medication

or to try this natural supplement called

Pro X 9 plus not wanting to be on medication

she decided to use this product the result

was her blood pressure returned to normal

and for the last four yearsit has consistently

averaged 112 68 this was a relief to

her and her family members could it be

a relief to those you know who are dealing

with the number one cause of strokes

and heart attacks we ll leave that answer

for you to make the nice thing about

this product is that you can put it to

the test and if it doesn t achieve the

positive outcome you re looking for it

can be returned for a full refund synergy

worldwide is so confident in their product

that they give you a hundred and twenty

day unconditional money back guarantee

most supplement companies don t offer

this extended guarantee and the medications

you take have no return policy if they

don t work then there is no refund just

another prescription to fill hoping the

next medication will address your health

concern so what separates pricing plus

from the rest of the competition to answer

this question I m going to focus and

five key areas first there are 262 quality

assurance steps that go into the manufacturing

of this product synergy worldwide is

owned by nature s sunshine products a

giant in the nutrition industry they were

recognized in 2013 by Forbes magazine

as one of america s 100 most trustworthy

companies only three other pharmaceutical

companies made this list another for

synergy worldwide Nature s Sunshine products

had the highest aggregate score second

the a large 9 and L signaling are pharmaceutical

grade this means that they meet the highest

purity and potency standards set for

these ingredients and to use the term

pharmaceutical grade means that it has

to be independently verified most other

lrs 9 supplement manufacturers use a

lesser grade to save on costs third prize

night plus uses a combination of vitamin

d3 and k2 to help optimize the production

of nitric oxide by the endothelium this

combination is critically important and

you ll see other supplements in this

area use a vitamin D K combination but

they don t usually disclose which form

of vitamin K most use vitamin k1 which

is less expensive and has little benefit

to the vascular system the more expensive

form of k2 is well documented for its

ability to improve cardiovascular health

in a recent 2014 study vitamin k2 showed

a 20 percent risk reduction in arterial

calcification and a whopping fifty seven

percent reduction in coronary heart disease

mortality fourth pricing plus includes

pomegranate fruit concentrate most nitric

oxide supplements do not include this

ingredient but in human clinical trials

this ingredient helps improve the enzymatic

activity of the endothelium leading to

an increase production of nitric oxide

in these studies this increased nitric

oxide production resulted in the calcification

fifth to our knowledge project plus is

the only l arginine supplement to actually

be used in a human clinical study this

occurred in 2009 at the high desert Heart

Institute there were 33 congestive heart

failure patients in the study who are

maxed out both medically and pharmaceutically

meaning that there were no further medical

options available all 33 patients were

placed on an aggressive use of prizing

plus and by the end of 90 days all had

seen quote remarkable results so remarkable

that this mainstream medical facility

incorporated pricing plus into their

treatment protocols it was this study

that helped the medical community begin

to take seriously this nutritional supplement

as an alternative method for addressing

cardiovascular health concerns health

concerns like high blood pressure vascular

complications from diabetes stroke protection

ed or sexual function issues cholesterol

concerns and improved cognitive function

to name just a few additionally athletes

have seen tremendous benefits from this

product the reason why is that when you

properly nourish the endothelium to help

optimize its production of nitric oxide

the resulting benefit is improved blood

flow this increases the athletes ability

to deliver oxygen and nutrients while

properly removing waste products this

allows the athlete to both train and

perform at a higher aerobic capacity resulting

in less lactic acid production this allows

them to either workout or perform at

a higher intensity and then recover faster

some will use project plus for weight

management by taking one scoop 30 minutes

prior to their largest meal they re able

to curb their appetite this results in

less food consumption and fewer calories

consumed because a vascular system does

a better job delivering these nutrients

they re not hungry after their meal then

have improved energy this leads the more

activities which burns more calories

the result for many is a reshaping other

body with better energy and sense of

well being as you can see Pro Arjun id

can be used to address multiple health

and athletic issues for both men and

women we would invite you to join our

mission which is to save millions of lives

from the number one killer of men and

women worldwide which is cardiovascular

disease please help us get this information

intothe hands of your family and friends

so that together we can help others enjoy

improved health and wellness and if you

see this product as being beneficial

to you then we invite you to talk with

1.3 Take Inspired Action Upward vs Downward Causation - Duration: 2:08.

Are you open to receiving inspiration like what I mentioned just before is there's

this huge amount of information available to us but it's like what I

what do you actually focus on what aspect of that information are you

actually focused on so you know you could be focused you could be somebody

who's very governed by your emotions or by your thoughts or by the physical

sensations of what's happening within you and around you reacting to

circumstances or you might be somebody who's very good at setting goals and and

you know a go getter so but even for that where does your inspiration come

from this concept upward versus down with causation is one I came across

from Dr. Amit Goswami and he talks about we are either being not I mean obviously

vary from moment to moment but we are either being led by what's happening

to us all by receiving inspiration from something greater than us so upward

causation is when you're trying to make things happen you are physically you

know it's like turning matter into spirit kind of thing you are physically

moving things and making them happen you feel like you know it's it's like

growing things upwards and downwards ation is when you're waiting for

inspiration you're waiting to be guided by this intelligence that's within you

and you you act from that place you act from that place of you're taking

inspired action rather than you know you you're battling it's like it's just

you're more in the flow so life sort of feels a little bit easier to you.

Stop Making Excuses! - It's Your Fault! - Duration: 10:26.

my son's 14 is fabulous and we'er having this conversation about when he plays in

sports or when he does something about you go full-out or do you not and I see

sometimes in him that when he's out on the field of doing something he doesn't

play full out and I'll have an excuse like my leg hurts or my arm hurts or

something happened the coach was unfair what other hanger the referee was unfair

and what happens with people is we tend to go out into the world and we look for

those sort of excuses about why things aren't the way we want them and when you

do that you lose all your power in life when you start focusing on the external

on the excuses you lose your power here is the way people really think I will

tell you I can go out on the stage and bomb you go out there you just bomb

right and people will respect you for going out there and trying your hardest

it's not how you actually perform that earns you the respect of your peers it's

the fact that you went out and actually did it that's the difference so if

you're out there right now you're a new salesperson or you're struggling as a

salesperson there's no embarrassment in struggle it's just not the embarrassment

is in quitting the embarrassment is not trying your hardest we should know how

to handle the not only how to handle the success how to handle the failures but

deeply you're in the management environment we worked on it I want the

end people to understand how to manage the failure because any tasks you do you

have to come across problem problem should not become the captain of the

individual or a project chief and the project chief should become the captain

of the problems and defeat the problem and succeed and then the last point and

this is one of my favorites and this is one that people really miss out on is

study success successful people study success success is not what we naively

think is just something that happens naturally to some people and doesn't

happen other people success is a very deliberate conscious endeavor that you

undertake success is built over months and years and it's done consciously and

the more you understand the principles of success the concepts of success the

more you study people who have been successful the more you see what it

really takes and that process of success the principles are not always what they

seem and to me this is something that I really committed my life to is studying

these principles I really love it it's exciting for me and I really encourage

you to get involved with that so that means maybe attending some seminars

reading some books watching these videos learning about it maybe joining a group

of friends that are successful joining a mastermind group right be around

successful people learn how the success process works and learn the psychology

of success not the externals of success but the psychology imagine we're

standing in a big empty room right and we're standing in one corner and I give

you a simple instruction I want you to go to that corner in a straight line

right off you go no big deal right without telling you I slip a chair in

front of you what do you do you go around the chair

now you just disobeyed what I told you to do I told you to go to that corner

straight line but this is the amazing things about human beings which is when

we're given a clear destination we use our own creativity and our own sense of

innovation and our own problem-solving abilities to overcome obstacles to get

to the destination in other words the destination is more important than the

route right we are flexible about the route we're obsessed with the

destination reset we're standing in the corner together and I give you a simple

instruction go somewhere in this room in a straight line and you say to me well

where do you want to go I'm like I don't know you're smart figure it out go in a

straight line and so you pick a point and you start walking and without

telling you I put a chair in front of you and what do you do you come to a

grinding halt I say what do you stop for you go will you put a chair in front of

me or you'll make a sudden turn and go in another direction right and this is

the problem it's the same obstacle the difference is when you have a clear set

of clear destination the obstacles become easy to overcome when you don't

have a clear destination you keep coming to a grinding halt and

what we do in our companies is we're counting the steps we're taking along

the route but we're never looking at the destination

right so company says made in million dollars this year we were only planning

on making 800,000 like we took ten steps we're planning on taking eight where you

going no clue right we count the steps and so the point is is that people want

to feel that the effort that they're exerting actually are moving somewhere

and so successful measurement successful recognition is not just for the steps

you take it's not just for the effort it's that the effort you exerted moved

us closer to where we're trying to get to and that get to should be some crazy

ideal my ideal is to live in a world in which the vast majority of people wake

up every single morning you know inspire to go to work and

fulfilled by the work that they do and the the couple of measurements that I

use are if the book is selling and I by the way people ask me how many have you

sold I have no clue I've never asked the publisher because they don't care I

really don't care have many I've sold what I care about is the Amazon rankings

and that those are going steady or up and not plummeting because that means

other people right because I don't have a publicist I don't have a marketing

strategy on purpose I didn't hire one of those companies to sell the book for me

and the reason is is because I'm not interested in book sales I'm interested

in the spreading of an idea and so I just use that as a metric to help me

understand am I sort of marching in that because the more I preach is it

resonating you know and so you have a couple of these imperfect measurements

that help you understand are you going along the way so it's not just great

effort look what you achieved because that's what we're doing now right our

goal is to increase top-line revenues by 50 million dollars for what reason right

which is we have to know the destination and then we say amazing you took us that

much closer if we go to the right it's because we were overcoming an obstacle

if we hadn't gone to the right we would have been stuck forever

thank you you know it's not always straight lines it's not always straight

lines but it's it's in one direction she's pulling the cane out people that I

look up to and admire it's not anything physically different between them and me

it's just the way that they think when I was able to realize that it was a

mindset thing that mental constructs and breaking them down and

habits and all these things were able to be rearranged and you could literally

rebuild the way that you thought to be the type of person that you want to be

and achieve the type of goals you want to achieve that's when our life changed

yeah because I realized that it really was all the way that I was thinking

sometimes you closed doors to yourself that you didn't even know we're always

open you literally put the door in not and the handle and the key on them when

they never were there and once I realized that I was like the sky really

is the limit like it really is the limit but you know it's not to go biblical but

it's like you know as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall

fear no evil for thou my you know I mean you know what I'm talking about yeah

that is the mind that is the valley of the shadow of death the thoughts that

people the things that people say to you that we rotating your mind the things

you see on who you look like you know that is a big thing we watch TV is

showing you see a blonde and they're supposed to be stupid am i stupid yeah

as long as you see a person a black person and they're belligerent am I

supposed to be belligerent those are the things that aren't that isn't you your

mind is like a computer and it's just playing back in itself what it's already

seen that's why you have to follow your heart your heart it may not know how

things are gonna happen but it feels it so if you follow that that's where you

end up where it is you'll be able to really manifest what it is your dreams

are because your mind doesn't know because it hasn't seen them yet you're

the one that's supposed to deliver it to the world so how do you define success

you have to define success one I define success as peace mmm do you like meat

there's nothing without that no okay go I'll let you finish oh you who looks

back at you in the mirror do you like that person are you at peace for you

that peace with that person are you content yeah that is the foundation of

success you can be the most famous person in the world yeah and not have

peace and I wouldn't know as you know we do yeah we do and I would argue you're

not successful you know we cannot allow external forces just tell us we are

successful yeah you are fulfilled by what you do yeah you are fulfilled when

you get up in the morning you know so many times we up in the morning we're

depressed we're down we're angry or frustrated oh you can wake up saying I'm

glad to be alive there is purpose to this day

to me that is success and I would argue that once you have that internal success

yeah then externally it's just a manifestation of what happens internally

in the best possible way we as minorities sort of take for we

underestimate in ourselves and that is I I'm pretty smart yeah I work pretty hard

I'm good at what I do I I have really good instincts I have great ideas and I

can execute and I say that out loud because we as women don't like pat

ourselves on the back for our we're always sort of deferring yes you know we

we cede our power so easily and I want young girls out there to know look live

out loud about loud and understand that what's in your brain is is really useful

do not hide it don't don't dumb it down don't apologize for it just put it on

the table and let people deal with it because we silence ourselves we always

had this a goal in sports and I give the credit to my coaches for like instilling

that in me is like always creating this goal this part time to achieve something

and during that time nothing else mattered it didn't matter what was

happening at school for me it didn't happen what was you know relationships

didn't matter it was just like achieving that goal yeah and maybe comes back to

like childhood or something where I just wanted to be a great athlete but when I

get in that mind frame I guess I don't know I just want to achieve the goal

more than anything else

Establish A Mission That Others Will Want To Be A Part Of - Duration: 1:29.

Hi my name is Taylor Hill.

I'm here with another Power Business Minute.

Last week we talked about mission and defining it using the definition of mission and looking

at it and comparing it to how military missions happen.

To make it very, very clear.

The other thing is you need to find out about your employees and where they stand in your

mission.

Is the mission of the company something that compels them?

In other words, if you just want to have a two truck company and the guy is in the second

truck and he knows there's no way to expand.

There's no way to go up.

There's no way to progress through your company.

He's just the guy on the second truck.

He may learn and find out everything there is to know about it, and then either go out

on his own and grow his own company or want to join a company that he feels like he can

more training, more information, better pay, all those things.

So you need to find out if the mission of your company compelling.

This is one of the things a lot of people miss.

It may be compelling to you, but if you're going to grow, it's got to be compelling to

your employees.

So if you don't have employees, what do you do?

Well, we're going to talk about that next week on the next Power Business Minute.

There's no better way to treat yo' self than by turning your bathroom into a haven

of relaxation.

So grab your cucumber water and bath bombs — these 25 bathrooms will show you how to

create the perfect mini at-home spa.

1.

Fluffy Is Best: Keep a pile of plush towels within easy reach of your tub for instant

coziness — no more shivering and dripping for you!

2.

Rolling in the Storage: A miniature rolling cart is a perf addition because more storage

means more room for self-love goodies.

3.

Basic Materials Gone Glam: Oh la la, who knew shampoo bottles could look so chic?

Enhance the cool factor of your powder room with matching bottles and DIY labels.

4.

Make Bath Time Extra Special: Something as simple as a basket of bath bombs can make

your tub time uber luxe.

Plus, those bright colors and shapes totally double as decor.

5.

Jungalow Bliss: Take the #plantlady obsession straight to your bathroom with sprawling gems

that'll help keep your air clean!

6.

DIY Beaded Plant Hanger: Here's another fab reason to bring plants to your powder room:

a haute handmade planter.

Hello, this weekend's DIY!

7.

Add Distinctive Hooks: In a small bathroom, details matter.

Smooth stone statement hooks will have the spa vibes flowing in no time.

8.

Spin Right Round Baby: Every bathroom needs at least one mirror, so you might as well

make it a cool one.

A round mirror will make a tiny bathroom feel much more grand than a basic, square one.

9.

DIY Wall-Mounted Planters: Go all out with the natural and green spa feel by mounting

plants right on the wall — no floor space required!

10.

Pull Up a Hook: Bathroom hooks aren't just for towels.

Take inspo from this serene room and mount a bunch of hooks near your tub for bundles

of bath bombs, loofahs, and mini hanging plants.

11.

Modern and Minimal: Just because you're going for a relaxing theme doesn't mean

you need to steer clear of color.

Towels, rugs, and a candle in bright tones will bring in the right amount of color — no

paint necessary.

12.

DIY Lucite Bathtub Caddy: You'd prob soak in the tub a whole lot more if you had a place

to set your book and your glass of vino.

Luckily, a lucite tray looks totally luxe, and the clear factor won't add clutter to

a small space.

13.

DIY Cedar Bath Mat: Yep, it's time to ditch that musty old bathmat and upgrade to a classy,

spa-inspired cedar one.

It will make your mornings so much better.

We promise.

14.

Everything in Its Place: An organized bathroom is a happy bathroom.

And something about containers with pretty labels just makes things like cotton balls

and Q-tips way more chic.

15.

Succulent Sanctuary: Nothing says Zen like a mini cacti garden.

Plus, the humidity of those steamy showers is just what they crave.

16.

Black and White Dreaming: Something about a minimal color palette just feels fancy AF.

Even if you haven't been #blessed with a clawfoot tub, you can get the same look with

black and white decor.

17.

Happy Feet: An ultra-soft rug will be like heaven for your toesies as you hop out of

the shower and prep for the day.

18.

How to Let a Book Be Written Through You | Quantum Consult #43 - Duration: 4:02.

I don't know if I've ever thought about it this way but I'm wondering for

instance if like the book is writing me in a sense. This book

now has an essence to it - a spirit to it. It's been - for a decade we were

doing weird things - like very strange things. You know when I got out of college I

was - when I was in college I was pretty weird but when I decided not to go to

medical school and do all the other things my social group was doing like

becoming lawyers, doctors, businessmen, Stock Exchange - all these crazy

successful ideas. I was doing something very different and I was

getting so many questions about it and a lot - and I actually saw a lot of weird

behavior from my friends that maybe they called me strange but maybe I thought

there seems to be like envy or jealousy - or like what's going? What's

going on my old friends, my new friends? Why - how - it was basically me exploring

out loud to the questions that so many people are asking - like what do we do

with the events? Why do we do that? What do you think that's for? Like why are you

out - why are you traveling all the time? I realized that like this book -

a book wants to be written. A book wants to be written and I'm gonna do it and I

like - someone might call it your dharma. Maybe someone would call

it passion. Maybe it would be a channeling or a musing, but I think

that the the contents in this book and me exploring out loud in the most

authentic way - hence like why on the back of the bus "what's most personal is most

universal" - that if I was really able to be as personal as possible and make it

where anyone could buy it in the world that this book will live on forever and

it will- it is - it's like already changing - here we are talking because of it. I

wrote this book - I mean it's an honor to meet y'all. So I think it's like

dialing into what wants to live through me - like what is it that I am here

for? How am I supposed to be an instrument? And I realize that one of the

ways I can be a really good instrument is writing a book - and maybe more than

one book. I feel like these all these quantum consultations I'm doing -

which was another idea that just hit me. It was like - I don't know if it

was my idea. It was like "whoa that's a crazy idea - 111 11 minute consolations. Commit!"

And now here I am - it's like becoming a new backbone for maybe the next book. I

just think being relentlessly curious and relentlessly generous and relentless

relentlessly grateful then all of a sudden I start getting breaking normal

ideas - I'm like are they my ideas or am I just like - my antenna is tuned into it them?

I don't know. If you can introduce me to somebody that's not channeling something,

then I'd be curious. People get really turned on by improv for instance - like

people love improv to like discover things. I'm like - we're

improving right now. This is improv. So if we need to be reminded that we're

improving right now, we're acting right now, we're praying right now -

this is as real as it gets in a way as long as we all know.

This is life. This is it. This is it right

now. So I think the more someone can find out how they might not be authentic

right now - like really letting it loose - first realize that and admit it. Be aware

of it, accept it and then take action. Those seem to be the three steps of

growth - it's like awareness, acceptance and then a new type of action and then I

I think it's an infinite journey. Being more authentic is like how much can we

let go? I don't know. I don't know.

How Intelligent People Memorize 90% Of Everything They Learn - And How You Can Do It - Duration: 5:45.

How To Remember 90% Of Everything You Learn

Wish you could learn faster?

In this video, I'm going to show you how to remember 90% of everything you learn, all

the time.

But before we start, make sure to like this video and subscribe our channel so you won't

miss any interesting updates in the future guys!

Whether you're learning Spanish, a new instrument, or a new sport, we could all benefit from

accelerated learning.

But the problem is, there's only so much time in the day.

The key to accelerated learning is not just putting in more hours, but maximizing the

effectiveness of the time spent learning.

The Bucket And Water Analogy

Let's say you were to fill up a bucket with water.

Most buckets should not have any problem retaining the water inside, until it starts overflowing

at the top.

But in reality, this isn't how our brains function.

In fact most of the information that enters our brain leaks out eventually.

Instead of looking at our brain's memory as a bucket that retains everything, we should

treat it for what it is: a leaking bucket.

While the leaky bucket analogy may sound like a negative connotation, it's perfectly normal.

Unless you were born with a photographic memory, our brains weren't designed to remember

every facts, information, or experience that we go through in our lives.

So, How To Remember 90% Of Everything You Learn?

The development of the Learning Pyramid in the 1960's, widely attributed to the NTL

Institute in Bethel, Maine.

Outlined how humans learn.

As research shows, it turns out that humans remember 5% of what they learn when they've

learned from a lecture (i.e. university or college lectures), 10% of what they learn

when they've learned from reading (i.e. books, articles), 20% of what they learn from

audio-visual (i.e. apps, videos), 30% of what they learn when they see a demonstration,

50% of what they learn when engaged in a group discussion, 75% of what they learn when they

practice what they learned, and a whopping 90% of what they learn when they use immediately

(or teach others).

However, how do most of us learn?

Books, classroom lectures, videos, non-interactive learning methods that results in 80-95% of

information going in one ear and leaking out the other.

The point here is that instead of forcing our brains on how to remember more information

with "passive" methods, we should focus our time, energy, and resources on "participatory"

methods that have proven to deliver more effective results, in less time.

This means that, If you want to learn how to speak a foreign language, you should focus

on speaking with native speakers and gain immediate feedback (instead of mobile apps).

If you want to get in shape, you should work with a personal fitness trainer (instead of

watching Youtube workout videos).

If you want to learn a new instrument, hire a local music teacher in your city.

Ultimately, it comes down to this, Time Or Money.

How many times have you heard someone say, "I don't have time to do this."

I'm certainly guilty of this myself, as I've made excuse after excuse about the

lack of time I have in my life.

But time is the greatest equalizer of all.

No matter who we are, where we are in the world, or how much we strive for efficiency,

there are only 24 hours in each day.

Every single minute is unique, and once it's gone, it can never be regained, unlike money.

So if we all have 24 hours in a day, how do we explain the success stories of young millionaires

that started from nothing, or a full-time student going from beginner to conversation

fluency in Spanish after just 3.5 months?

They learned how to maximize for effectiveness instead of only efficiency.

Let's say person A spent one hour learning a language and retained 90% of what they learned.

And person B spent nine hours learning and retained 10% of what they learned.

Doing simple math, person B spent 9 times more learning than person A, only to retain

the same amount of information on simple equation.

While the exact numbers can be debated, the lesson is clear.

The way to have more time is not to go for small wins, like watching 5-minute YouTube

tutorials instead of 15-minutes, but to go for big wins, like choosing the most effective

method from the beginning.

Or constantly relying on free alternatives, when investing in a premium solution can shave

off months, if not years, worth of struggles, mistakes, and most importantly, time.

It's making the most out of the limited time we have by focusing on solutions that

deliver the most impact, and saying no to everything else.

The ability to retain more knowledge in an age of infinite access to information and

countless distractions is a powerful skill to achieve any goal we have faster.

By learning how to remember more information everyday, we can spend less time re-learning

old knowledge, and focus on acquiring new ones.

We're all running out of time, and today is the youngest you'll ever be.

The question is: how will you best spend it?

Well, that's the little information on how to remember 90% of everything you learn.

Really cool information isn't it?

Bipolar Guilt and Shame - Duration: 3:18.

Hey guys! It's Hannah.

Guilt and bipolar disorder.

This is one of the biggest obstacles to overcome when you live with depression, anxiety, bipolar,

schizophrenia, OCD or any mental health condition.

It's this guilt of not only living with a mental health condition but also the guilt

of just being born different.

The guilt we feel is based around stigma.

I use that word a lot, but it's true.

Other people's lack of understanding of our life, our lifestyle, our mental health condition,

it's like we feel guilty, whether we are doing the right thing or the wrong thing.

And it's exhausting.

And, actually, recently, I'm just coming out of a really bad depression.

It's honestly been one of the years that I've been the most isolated I've ever been.

I feel guilty because I don't know how to explain why I'm doing this.

Why I'm separated.

And it makes me feel bad about myself.

It makes me feel bad about having bipolar disorder.

And it just dips me down even further into a depression and really self-hate.

I'll share with you a couple of ways that I've overcome this guilt.

I think it will always be there but the ways that I've dealt with it and kind of let it go.

When I isolate myself, I use it as a time to build myself.

This is my opportunity to really create.

And I reach out to people in a very simple way; whether that be a text message or

just sending positive love to my family and friends.

And I explain to them that I can't really explain it.

That I love them.

That this is my life with bipolar disorder.

And one thing I will not accept from people around me is to be beaten down for being who

I am and living with this condition.

And I think that's something all of us have to do.

We have to let that part of looking for people's acceptance and their loved based on who they

want us to be...we have to let that go.

I think the foundation for reducing guilt is self-love.

When I have self-love, my mental health and my mental health condition...

and when I let go of that self-hate, it allows me not to feel as guilty.

And I want to hear your thoughts on this because I see your comments and I read your experiences

and guilt is just...

I know, for me, living with bipolar 2 disorder, it's consuming.

So please share those below or do a response video.

And, of course, share this with others around you.

People have to take our color, our depth, our love as well as our darkness, our cloud

cover and the things about us that they may not fully understand.

I look forward to seeing your comments, your experience, your advice to those in our community

who really need help with this.

And I'll see you next week.

Bye.
