Children of the Sky

Nords consider themselves to be the children of the sky.

They call Skyrim the Throat of the World, because it is where the sky exhaled the North Winds on the land and formed them.

They see themselves as eternal outsiders and invaders, and even when they conquer and rule another people;

they feel no kinship with them this especially with the Chimer and Dwemer in the days of the Dwemereth and the first forming of the Great Houses.

The breath and the voice are the vital essence of a Nord.

When they defeat great enemies they take their tongues as trophies.

These are woven into ropes and can hold speech like an enchantment.

The power of a Nord can be articulated into a "dragon" shout, like the kiai of an Akaviri swordsman.

The strongest of their warriors are called "Tongues."

When the Nords attack a city, they take no siege engines or cavalry; the Tongues form in a wedge in front of the gatehouse, and draw in breath.

When the leader lets it out in a kiai, the doors are blown in, and the axemen rush into the city.

Shouts can be used to sharpen blades or to strike enemies. A common effect is the shout that knocks an enemy back, or the power of command.

A strong Nord can instill bravery in men with his battle-cry, or stop a charging warrior with a roar.

The greatest of the Nords can call to specific people over hundreds of miles, and can move by casting a shout, appearing where it lands.

The most powerful Nords cannot speak without causing destruction.

They must go gagged, and communicate through a sign language and through scribing runes.

The further north you go into Skyrim, the more powerful and elemental the people become,

and the less they require dwellings and shelters. Wind is fundamental to Skyrim and the Nords;

those that live in the far wastes always carry a wind with them.

19 Life Hacks (kitchen, travel, and closet tricks) - Duration: 11:59.

hey there I am sharing 19 ish life hacks today on my Laurie pop channel

ideas that pop these tips and tricks are life hacks that I've picked up along the

way from other friends from researching and from just solving problems on my own

these are life hacks that will help you with travel life hacks for the kitchen

life hacks for cleaning and life hacks in or around your home so let's pop

into my 19 ish life hacks video the number one life hack that I have for you

today is to buy a handbag or a purse that has a light colored fabric on the

inside of your purse I found this purse life hack from a friend Shawn and she

says so when you are looking for things in that never-ending black hole in the

bottom of your purse if it is a dark fabric it's gonna be harder and take

more time to find something the second life hack for you is from my friend Desneige

and my friend Carrie if you are shredding chicken for a crowd or a

casserole or tacos you boil all your chicken breasts and then you throw in

like two or three chicken breasts into a stand up kitchen mixer and just shred

them with the regular cookie dough paddle for about one minute and it

shreds that chicken perfectly another life hack for the kitchen is to use an

apple slicer to slice a raw baked potato or like a red potato like I'm using I

highly recommend cutting off the base of your potato so that it can stand up tall

in the Apple slice blade does not have to go through the peeling on the bottom

you can tell that I am trying to like break off the raw pieces of potato

because my blade did not go all the way through but another quick hack for the

kitchen this next life hack is going to help you get through security at the

airport with peace of mind and a little faster hopefully when you get your email

with your boarding pass that's gonna get you through security with your handbag

in your carry-on suitcase what you do is you take a screenshot of that email with

the scanning part that you're going to show TSA and the way you take a

screenshot is you hold down the home button and then you hold the side button

the single button on the side and you click at the same time and it's

gonna take a photo of everything on that screen and that way when you go through

security through the TSA section you just show them that photo and you will

not spend time in security thumbing through and scrolling through emails or

hoping that you can get Wi-Fi we are an airline family so don't miss any of my

travel videos so my LauriePOP Channel I did make a travel hack video and I will

link it here there are 23 travel hacks and in that

movie one subscriber left me a comment well under that that movie a subscriber

left me a comment that they used a coat hanger from the closet of the hotel room

to hold the curtains together in a little slice in between the curtains

where the light just brightly shines in your hotel room in the morning that

solves it this life hack is for your closet and

it comes from a fellow youtuber named Benrazi I will link him below because

he has a couple of life hacks for work wear but one that I like for the closet

is to use a rubber band that you find around your house and wrap it around the

end of a coat hanger and when you have those tops that have really wide scoop

necks that barely hang on your hanger or stay on your hanger you just use that

and it helps them stay hung on the hanger my friend Tammy sells essential

oils and her life hack that she gave me is to use one drop of rosemary onto a

cotton ball and just throw the cotton ball in the base of your trash can

before you put a plastic baggie in and it I don't know what it is but it it

makes it smell fresh when you walk by like you just clean the bathroom and you

have that pine-sol or you just clean the whole kitchen you have that kind of pine

sol smell but it's not like you walk into the kitchen then you smell rosemary

or pine-sol or something like that it's just this fresh clean scent that you

have instead of food or just weird aromas when we move to Houston three

years ago we cannot wait to have fresh guacamole with avocados that were just

picked yesterday in Mexico or somewhere near here

but there is a life hack to figuring out how to pick the greenest avocado

Barefoot Contessa Worthy green avocados every time when you're in the store you

pop off the little stem section of the avocado and if it is really light like

green or if it has just a few brown spots on it that means it's gonna be

green every time you cut it open if it is brownish or grayish you are gonna

have a bruised avocado so now you know we love making fathead pizza crusts now

and on it we slather on basil from a tube of basil in the produce section of

your grocery store it's already chopped up for you and it is in that tube well

then when you get to the bottom it's hard to squirt all of it out or squeeze

all of it out so I just snip it across you can get a good two tablespoons of

that pesto tasting basil that's also a life hack for your lotion bottles in the

bathroom when you have a stand up bottle it is so hard for the lotion to get to

the top of that lotion bottle so I just used some really strong kitchen scissors

and cut it across and you know what you have like three weeks worth of lotion in

the base of this bottle so you are saving yourself money with this life

hack this other life hack is from frugal Miss Julie on Instagram she used a mug

holder and turned it into a bracelet holder I think that is so clever this

life hack is for when you were washing your hair get your hair completely

soaking wet and then with your shampoo put it on the base of your head that's

where most of the water is so all the suds are gonna start from here and

you'll have a much more bubbly sudsier hair washing experience take it from me

with this life hack I about ruined these tassels on this super cute top I had to

cut them in half because I washed my tassels and my shirt together in the

sink and you when you watch your tassel or a top with tassels don't wash the

tassels wash the shirt in the sink but keep these out if you need to wash your

tassels put them under the water and keep going like this to help the water

go through it or the suds to go through it

so that it keeps its shape it just looks like an unruly hairdo or something

anyway I don't like it now anyway take it from me by the way my name is Laurie

so welcome to my channel and please leave me a comment below and introduce

yourself this life hack has to do with makeup I was visiting my friend Noel

last week and I noticed that she too uses a Beauty Blender to apply her

foundation and when you do that they're a little wet you're supposed to get them

wet and like squeeze out all the liquid and then you have to store them

somewhere everyday and so she was throwing hers in her medicine cabinet

and then when I got home I remembered and I cannot remember who I got this

life hack from I will try to find it and link it below but anyway you store them

in the plastic Easter egg is that not so brilliant and cute I have been using

this makeup for about three or four months and I made a foundation video for

women over 40 but you can see the top is all goopy but the main negative I have

about this foundation is that it left this sticky tape where the lid like when

I opened it they had a tape all the way around the seal and when I tore the tape

off which took forever it came off like in tiny tiny skinny

strips there was all this goop left around the lip of this and the makeup is

also nasty so I'm wiping off the foundation but I found lazy budget chef

she suggested a life hack trick to remove this sticky residue left from

tape-on products and you use a cotton ball and some alcohol and just rub it

out and you can see that with with some Elgar elbow grease it really does come

off I really like that idea another life hack from her is to dip a cotton ball in

alcohol and then rub away if you get permanent marker on clothes and I didn't

have that and I didn't want to test it but that's an idea if you would like

another life hack my husband works for a Houston airline so I also have lots of

travel videos so don't miss those but he uses this gum container which is made of

high quality plastic he them to hold these little USB things for

your home so this is a life hack for your home that you could use awesome

storage and it's sealed another life hack for you is to store in your glove

compartment of your car your health insurance card copy so just take a

picture print it out of your health insurance card not I'm not talking about

your proof of insurance for driving I'm talking about your health insurance card

because if God forbid you're in an awful accident that insurance card is there as

well and then when they call your insurance or your doctor they will have

your emergency contact numbers with them like I said earlier I made a travel

hacks video and one of my subscribers left a comment saying to store in your

sports bra when you are traveling abroad money so you have your cash but each

little padding area of a sports bra has an open area so when you are packing it

in your suitcase you can put that money in the inside that would be against your

skin anyway store it in there and your suitcase to hide your money when you

travel abroad and another life hack is to when you're wearing your sports bra

in another country keep that money back in there because the pickpocketers can't

reach in there hopefully not let's see that's right

there but it won't be seen you can't even see the crease of the money because

of the great sports bra padding super lifehack thank you my fellow subscriber

this life hack I got from Brenda Kinsel who got it from Northwest mountain

living gal her name is Cheryl and I will link both of those below they're

fantastic for fashion over 40 and 50 and 60 anyway if you have a shirttail that

is way long and you just you don't want to wear a belt you something doesn't

work this life hack for your long shirt is to just punch up the base of the

shirttail and slide it through one of the belt loops this is a great life hack

for your closet another subscriber from my travel hacks video suggested using

the new free newspaper that gets thrown onto your driveway

to use that bag to store your shoes in when you're traveling inside your

suitcase another life hack that most of you have heard of is to stick a lemon

wedge down in your disposal and run it for a few seconds but you can also do

that with coffee beans just throw them down in there if you don't have a lemon

flight attendants on the airplanes will see you'll see sometimes when you go

into the lavatory they'll have the coffee filter with the

beans already ground up in there just hanging on the little coat rack in the

lavatory of the airplane and it helps absorb strange smells it doesn't give

you the smell of coffee but it absorbs a lot of strange smells that you have in

your disposal in your kitchen thanks so much for watching my 19 ish

life hacks video I hope these life hacks for the bathroom life hacks for the

kitchen life hacks for travel will help you through your day-to-day life thanks

for popping over

How To Forgive Yourself & Move Forward So You Can SOAR to Your Goal, Passion or Vision - Duration: 8:13.

Hello and welcome to this episode of "Carmen's Coaching Corner". Hello my name is

Carmen Payne and I am the owner and creator of SOAR! Transformational Life

Coaching and in this episode I'm going to talk about forgiveness. Now you may be

walking around, or harboring feelings of blame, shame, hate, resentment, guilt, all of

those negative emotions, and much of that could be tied up in the fact that you

still haven't forgiven yourself. For many things that you may feel like you've

done to others, or feel that you have been that have been done to you,

basically if you're like the victim in the situation. So I'm going to share with

you two processes that will really help shift that energy around those emotions

and really start healing you, and put you on the path to self forgiveness because

until you can forgive yourself it's really going to be hard for you to show

up and be able to forgive others, and really shift those feelings and those

emotions that you may be holding on to. And even if you think, seriously even if

you think you're over all your past shit I'm here to tell you that you're

probably not. Well things are going to happen for you that will trigger some

past memory and you'll fill those things again. So these two processes will

really help you put you on the path to fast-tracking your healing process when

it comes to doing a lot of the self forgiveness and the inner work that

needs to be done in order for you to truly have maximum impact of anything

that you're doing in the area of positive thinking, positive affirmations,

positive positive mindset. If you're doing any of the work in that area on

yourself or these you know these self-development things, until you're

really forgiving yourself for whatever it may be and forgiving anyone else

these, all this positive personal growth that you're doing is

really not going to have as much of an impact as it could until you start with

self forgiveness and forgiveness, or these you know, lack of self forgiveness

rather can show up in your mind in many different ways. They can show up

as aches and pains in your body. It can show up as illnesses that you have. It

can show up as bad relationships like you are you're constantly meeting the

same person over and over again and you don't know why. And it's typically

because you haven't learned that lesson yet. You haven't learned why this same

person is showing up in your life, and doing the same behaviors that you're

expecting them to do and you haven't figured out why that's happening yet, and

a lot of this again has to do with the fact that you haven't forgiven something from

the past in order for you to move forward. And so these two processes will

really help to shift that, and help you to heal yourself, but consistency is the

key, and I do recommend that you do it every day. You do them every day for 40

days because once you've passed like the 30 day 40 day threshold you've really

got it ingrained, and you're gonna see some huge shifts happening for you.

Believe me. So the first process is ancient Hawaiian prayer and it's called

"honah pono pono", and there's four parts of this prayer or four parts to this

affirmation or mantra and it goes like this. So basically you say, repeat the

four think four phrases three times but with so the first phrase of this

meant four-part mantra is, "I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you."

So you're just saying these phrases to yourself. "I'm sorry. Please forgive me.

Thank you. I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you." So these

are at this these this is you just saying this to you. How beautiful is that?

And so the second process that I like to combine with that honah pono pono prayer

is a three-part process and basically you stand in front of the mirror, and you

look yourself directly in the eye and you say your name

like "Jane, Bob, Freddie, I am proud of you for and you list five to seven things

that you're proud of yourself for. And you know start from the beginning. Start

from your early childhood as you're doing this across the forty days and

then progress into other phases of your life, and just list five to seven things

that you're proud of yourself for, and you can repeat them on a daily basis, but

you need to you know as you're progressing across the forty days

include new things that you've thought about that you're proud of yourself for.

So the first one is your name I'm proud of you for and then the second part is

your name I forgive you for a list five to seven things that you forgive

yourself for and again start from early childhood and progress as you go along

with 40 days to other phases of your life. Four things that you've remembered

that you need to forgive yourself for. Now be honest, be truthful, get real with

yourself, Okay? It's not going to work otherwise, and then the third part is

Your name, "I commit to you that" and you list five to seven things that

you're going to commit to doing for yourself, and it could be things like

drinking more water, getting more exercise, going out more and meeting new

people. Finishing projects that you've started, but maybe you want

to finish but you haven't got quite got there yet. So what do you commit to

yourself to doing? Maybe there's more personal growth things that you want to

experience. Right? What is it that you commit yourself to yourself to do and do

them consistently over the over the duration of 40 days that is going to be

key and critical to you experiencing any shift in terms of the forgiveness that

you deserve to give yourself. And you will see that your relationships will

change for the better. How you show up and how you feel

energetically will change for the better. Your mindset will be more positive

because you're releasing, and you're releasing, and you're releasing. and

during the 40 days you, things are going to come up for you that maybe

you feel uncomfortable with, but that's the way you're growing in where you're

expanding. Right? So don't be fearful of these two processes, just commit to doing

them 40 days. And please, please, please, share with me how they worked out for

you. I'd love to hear how they worked out for you. I've done them myself. I had huge

shifts. So I'm not just saying it and haven't done it I'm doing it. I still do

them now today, and I find them extremely powerful. They re empowering they're

healing. You will see like I said before huge changes, and shifts in your physical,

spiritual, and an energetic body you really will, and you just and there's no

harm in doing it. Right? You've got nothing to lose, so give it a go.

If you'd like to email me about these processes, or you have other ideas that

you'd like, or topics that you'd like for me to do on "Carmen's Coaching Corner"

please email me at Soar.TLC@Gmail.com and I'll also provide links to my

previous episodes of "Carmen's Coaching Corner", and as always in love and light

to your transformation. To get started please call, or email me, or schedule an

appointment on my website.

Martin Ginsburg, Ruth's Husband: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com - Duration: 9:22.

Martin Ginsburg, Ruth's Husband: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been a Justice of the Supreme Court since 1993, and is only the second woman in United States history to be appointed to the position.

Ginsburg is considered a member of the liberal bloc of the bench, and has served as an increasingly well known voice on behalf of gender equality, women's rights violations, same-sex marriage and the upholding of Roe v.

Wade, to name a few.

Since Justice Anthony Kennedy retired from the bench, opening up a position for President Trump to assumably nominate another Conservative to the bench, Ginsburg's position as Justice has become of increasing importance for the liberal community, with many wondering about the 85-year-old's health moving forward.

Despite fears over Ginsburg's health, she shows no signs of slowing down or retiring.

In a round of public appearances earlier this year, though, Ginsburg reassured crowds that she was "feeling fine".

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was married to Martin D.

Ginsburg, who passed away in 2010.

Here's what you need to know.

They Met on a Blind Date and Were Married for 56 Years.

Martin Ginsburg met Ruth Bader Ginsburg on a blind date while both of them were studying at Cornell, according to NPR.

Martin Ginsburg was 18 years old, at the time, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a mere 17 years old.

Of the date, Ruth Bader Ginsburg later said that her husband was the only man she'd ever dated who was interested in her brain.

As for Martin Ginsburg, he reportedly said later that his wife was a "top brain", and he was a "top golfer.

The Ginsburgs were happily married for 56 years until Martin Ginsburg passed away.

They also had two children, Jane Carol Ginsburg and James Steven Ginsburg, and now have four grandchildren.

In an Op-ed to the New York Times, Ginsburg Described Her Marriage as the Luckiest Thing of Her Life.

In an opinion piece on life advice written for The New York Times in 2016, Ginsburg wrote, "I have had more than a little bit of luck in life, but nothing equals in magnitude my marriage to Martin D.

Ginsburg.

I do not have words adequate to describe my supersmart, exuberant, ever-loving spouse.".

Ginsburg went on to discuss her husband's cooking acumen, his support as a parent, and his role as "the first reader" for everything she wrote.

Ginsburg added, "He was at my side constantly, in and out of the hospital, during two long bouts with cancer.

Martin Ginsburg had the same loving words to say about his own wife.

Prior to his death, he reportedly wrote to his wife that (setting aside parents and kids), "you are the only person I have loved in my life.

… I have admired and loved you almost since the day we first met at Cornell some 56 years ago.".

They Both Deferred From Harvard Law School for Two Years When Ginsburg Was Drafted.

Both Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Martin Ginsburg attended Harvard Law School, but not before a two year deferral due to Martin Ginsburg being drafted to the army.

They lived in Fort Sill, Oklahoma for two years, a time that Martin Ginsburg later described as a "stroke of good fortune" because it allowed he and his wife to spend time alone together.

"We had nearly two whole years far from school, far from career pressures and far from relatives, to learn about each other and begin to build a life," he said.

Martin Ginsburg also reportedly learned about Ruth Bader Ginsburg's awful cooking skills during their time in Oklahoma.

According to NPR, he said, "I learned very early in our marriage that Ruth was a fairly terrible cook, and, for lack of interest, unlikely to improve.

Out of self-preservation, I decided I had better learn to cook.".

After Martin Ginsburg completed his service, they attended Harvard Law School together, though Ruth Bader Ginsburg transferred to Columbia Law School to finish her schooling after Martin Ginsburg received a job in New York City.

He Was a Successful Tax Lawyer and Professor of Law at Georgetown University.

Martin Ginsburg was a successful lawyer in his own right.

According to The Washington Post, he received a Bachelor's Degree from Cornell (where he met Ruth Bader Ginsburg), and eventually received a degree from Harvard Law School, specializing in tax law.

After college, Ginsburg practiced law in New York and was a law professor at New York University for several years, before finally deciding to be a full time professor.

When Ruth Bader Ginsburg received the opportunity to become an appellate judge in Washington, D.C., he moved to Georgetown University and practiced as a tax layer there, as well.

The Washington Post reports that Martin Ginsburg was also the co-author of "Merges, Acquisitions and Buyouts," a tax law treatise that was updated on an annual basis.

Martin Ginsburg Said the Most Important Thing He did in His Life Was to Enable His Wife.

In the weeks leading up to Martin Ginsburg's death, he reportedly told a friend, "I think that the most important thing I have done is to enable Ruth to do what she has done.

This can be viewed in multiple ways: first, of his general support as a spouse to Ruth Bader Ginsburg while she was pursuing professional goals, and second, of the literal and concrete help he gave her to rise up the ladder of the legal industry.

According to NPR, it was a tax case that Martin Ginsburg brought to his wife's attention which first set in motion her passion for gender equality, and when they won this case it was eventually brought to the Supreme Court.

It was these statutes in particular, Ginsburg recalled, "that my wife then litigated against to overturn over the next decade.

NPR also reports that Ginsburg was constantly promoting his wife's legal abilities, and that some Clinton administration officials claimed that it was due to Martin Ginsburg's "relentless and artful behind-the-scenes lobbying that brought Ruth Ginsburg's name into the mix of potential Supreme Court nominees in 1993.

As for Ruth Bader Ginsburg herself, she too believed that her husband's vocal support of her was a huge contributor to the success of her legal career.

To the New York Times, she wrote, "I betray no secret in reporting that, without him, I would not have gained a seat on the Supreme Court.".
