Hey everybody! Welcome back to my channel. Today I am going to be doing my July
plan with me. I hope you don't mind I have a coffee here with me. This is the...
This will be the third month in this bullet journal, so I'm going to do a flip
through of June for you guys and then show you how I set up my July section.
I'm still really loving this bullet journal. Everything's still working
really well for me. Nothing has changed super drastically, but I am trying some
new things out. I do have the time in the summer to try some stuff out so we'll
see how it goes this month. But without further adieu, let's just hop right in.
Alright so here is my June section. As you guys remember from my last plan with
me I did red for the month of June. June was pretty slow. There wasn't too
much going on. I did do a few trips up to Maine, up to New Hampshire, things like
that. My parents are in the middle of moving to Florida and so I'm helping my
mom currently. She's up in New Hampshire by herself trying to sell the house and
get moving, movers ready, all that jazz, and so I've
been traveling back and forth a lot. On the off weekends, I've just been trying
to chill out because moving is very stressful. So it hasn't been too crazy
personal life-wise other than the fact that I'm helping my parents get
everything ready to move to Florida. But that's kind of what was going on this
month and you guys know I kind of miscounted with the boxes last month and
so I just filled in the bottom with a quote. I did start marathon training and
I think that was pretty much it. Orange is the New Black came back. I had a
couple of friends' birthdays and I had two readathons that I participated in so
not too crazy but it was a fun month either way. Here's my June reasons
to smile, doing pretty well with that. My June to-do page. I'm really loving
this tracker here. I really like this setup as of right now I know that I
change my mind about trackers every now and then but this is really great. Only
tracking six things. Making them a little bit more broad, things I actually want to
make sure that I'm tracking. And as you can see I've been doing really well in
making sure that I'm tracking everything. Here is my first weekly. So I've been
doing weekly spreads and I've been really liking the weekly because I don't
have a ton happening. What I've been using this note section - [dogs barking] I've used it
for a couple different things. Don't mind the dogs barking. They're barking at something.
Who knows what it is. But this week you can see that I had highlighted some work projects that I
wanted to do this week so I knew what I wanted to complete at work which was
nice to highlight some things because I do have a huge - this blue tab here... this blue tab
here is like a whole page worth of tasks that I want to get done throughout the
summer so it's nice to actually highlight the things that I want to get
done here. It's been really helpful. Here, I think I showed this to you guys, but
are some resume additions that I want to make so I'm going to continue to build on
this as my job continues to evolve and I do more projects. My summer book haul. I
did sign up for Book of the Month Club so I put in some new rules for my
#Project5 which I will explain in my book haul in August so stay tuned for
that. Here are some YouTube ideas I've been
tossing around. I don't know if I'm going to be doing this but we'll see. Stay
tuned. I feel like I'm doing a lot of projects in the summer already so maybe
this will be left to fall. But we shall see. The reading habits tag
questions. I did this tag a couple weeks ago which you can find on my channel.
Here's a project that I was working on at work. As you can see this was notes I
took in, at the end of May. I didn't leave myself enough some note pages in May
before transitioning over to June so I just, you know, put the notes in June. Not
a big deal to me. Here are some notes for my story that I'm working on for the
Summer Short Story Boot Camp project. Staff meeting notes. These are all staff
shout outs and like notes that my work team gave to each other during one of
our staff meetings. Our boss was like "send out something positive to all of your
co-workers" and so we all wrote each other some nice things so I said just
stick to my bullet journal and then I can look at them if I'm ever having a
bad day at work for some positivity. Here were my plans for Read-O-Rama. Here are
some notes for the common read for my work. We are reading Citizen: An American
Lyric by Claudia Rankine (I think it's how you say your last name) and so I wanted
to take some notes here which continue on on a different page. Some notes from a
one-on-one I had with my boss. Here is my second weekly spread. I did the same
thing in the note section is just figure out what I wanted to get done that week.
Here are some notes from the entire organization system video that I made
which you can find on my channel and here is the football schedule for this
upcoming season for Brett's football team. Here are some notes on the common
read that have continued on from the first section. Here are some notes that I
was taking on Infinite Jest on what I want to
include in my review which will be coming out soon. Some more work notes for
project I was working on. More work notes. Here I was just like jotting down what I
want to post in the month of July on my YouTube channel and on my blog and my
July TBR. Here is the week we're currently in. I'm filming this here and I've been
using the notes section here to figure out what books that I want to complete
this week. Not doing too great here ,but we'll figure it out. Here are some notes
from a meeting with a student. Here are some notes from a meeting with some
colleagues. Here are my notes for the mid-year book freak out tag which I will
be posting in July and then here is next week and the final week of June and
again I wrote down on the books that I want finish next week. And then I have
a couple of pages left over for more notes for maybe next week. So, yeah that
was June. All pretty standard stuff. I'm really liking the weekly spread kind of
look because I just don't have a ton to do in the summertime whereas in the
spring you will remember that like, things get really crazy all in one day
and I can't fit a week on to one spread. So that's been really working for me
this month. Really liking that and I'm continuing on with that in the month of
July. So here's July. It is starting on page
87 in my bullet journal so I used up, let's see, about 40 pages again for the
month of June so it's been pretty consistently around 40 or so pages per
month which has been really great. I did film a little bit of a plan with me kind
of like set up which I will insert into this video. However it
did cut off at some point. My battery died and then I just continued planning
in this bullet journal for the month of July because I was just in the zone and
I wanted to get it done. So right now I am going to insert my setup, kind of
speed it up. So you can see me setting up the first couple pages in this section
and it will cut off at some point but then I'll come back and show you guys
what exactly I did.
[upbeat music]
Alright so here is July. So you see it got cut off, but here's what I'm doing
for this month. I decided to go with navy blue because it just reminds me of the
U.S. It is Independence Day this month so I wanted to do something that is kind
of patriotic so I went with navy blue and as you can see I try to make this
kind of look like fireworks which I think kind of turned out really cool. But
here's July. Here is my monthly spread. There are some things that are a little
bit different. As you can see we have some page flags here. I got this from
Kayla at BooksandLala. She has a calendar where she has page flags
marking which books she wants to read by when and I like this because you can
move these flags. So say, like, I'm not going to finish this book by this day.
I'm going to push it to a different day. So I don't have to write it in to where
I'm thinking I'm going to finish it I can kind of put it somewhere realistic
where I could finish it. I really like that idea
so I'm going to try it for this month and see what I like. You can tell, the red
is my YouTube, so I have a lot of videos going up in the month of July,
BooktubeAThon is at the end of this month and I do want to daily vlog for
the BooktubeAThon. Who knows if that's actually going to work out. We're going
to try it. I have a slow enough schedule in the summer that it could happen. So I
have a video going up every day at the end of the month
and then I have at least... Almost every week has two videos going up except for
this week here and that might change. I might get an idea of
something else I want to do. But there's going to be a lot of videos going up in this
next month so get excited about that. There isn't a ton planned on my blog yet
but those ideas tend to come a little bit more organically so stay tuned.
You'll probably see more blog posts as well. You can see back here I do have my
marathon training notes per usual. Game of Thrones comes back in the month of
July and The Challenge comes back which I'm very excited about. So July is going
to be a little busier. I do have a Cape Cod trip with Brett to our friends Cape
house so we'll be at the beach that weekend and hopefully my mom is able
to finally move out and actually get back with my dad in Florida and so that
might be happening in the month of July also. So it's going to be a little bit busier this
month but it should be a fun month. I really like the month of July it's kind
of quintessential summer which is my favorite season so looking forward to it.
I have this floral washi denoting where July is. Really liking that. My reasons to
smile page and my July to-do page. Again I have my TBR and my bills up here on top, so a
little preview to my TBR, and then I have my tracker. It's a little - it looks a little different than
this I've decided to not do the boxes around so I'll just like fill it in as
it comes up and I'm still going to be tracking the same thing so exercise,
reading, blog and YouTube work, headache, anxiety, and mood, and I'll probably use
the same mood tracker color code which I need to add in here. And then this is
what you didn't see while I was setting up. So this is a weekly spread. I'm just
going to try out because it's a lot. But I was feeling really creative while I
was setting this up so I thought I would try something new out. So as you
can see I have, like, my days. I have my notes section which you guys are used to
but on the sides here I have, like, two sidebars. So over here I have the week
that we're in. I also did like a little monthly calendar and highlighted the
week that we're in. I really like this. I've seen it on a lot of bullet journals
and weekly spreads and I just really really like it a lot. I then have what
I'm posting that week. So I have four different things. Three videos and one
blog post that should be going live this week. I have what I want to read that
week and I have what training I need to complete for marathon training that
week. So just kind of like a highlight of what's happening in the week and then I
can assign it to certain days. Some things already have certain things assigned to
it like for example my marathon training update will go up on the second so it's
already has a two there and I know to put it on the second. I need to go on my long
run on the second so it's on the second. Things like that. Whereas reading it's a
little bit more loose. I kind of assign myself where I want to finish a book but
if I don't finish it then it's not the end of the world. I then have on this side a
future, like a look to the future section I guess you could say. I don't know if
I'm going to be using this a ton but I thought it might be nice to just have
something that's future planning. So I have something for next week, something
for next month, and something for far future. So if
something comes up that I need to be aware for the following week I'll put it
right here. If something comes up that I need to be aware for the following month
or if I want to just like get it out of my brain so I just remember it I'll put
it right here, and if there's something that comes up, usually like in a meeting or
something, something will come up like, "Oh, in October this is happening" so I'll
just like write it here. This happens a lot at work. Working as
an event planner that makes sense. We plan very far in the
future it's all just like write it here. I don't know how much I'm going to be
using this. I might use a lot, I might not use it at all, but I wanted kind of this
to look symmetrical just for the design purposes no other reason, and I wanted to
figure out something that would work here and I figure doing some sort of
like future planning would be nice. Especially this "next week" because I know
that having like some immediate notification of what's going to be
happening soon would be nice. So for example, this next week I am going to be
doing my buddy read with Anita so I want to make sure that I'm ready to read the
book that we had picked out together. I have my Cape Cod trip on that next
Saturday so I want to be getting myself in the mindset of, like, packing and, like,
figuring out what we need to take. When we're leaving, things like that, and then
I have these two videos that would be going up in the following week so I want
to make sure I'm like getting ready to film take notes that I need things like
that. So that's nice. Next month and far future is more of just like me writing
down notes so I can know for the following month as I set up my bullet journal or
future months as I set up my bullet journal that I just have it available and ready
for me. Hopefully that makes sense. Notes, it's just there for me to do
whatever with like usual. I really like the way this looks. How it's going
to function is a whole different story. I think it's very beautiful but it might
not function for me. We'll see. We'll see how this whole month evolves, but I'm
really liking the way it looks at least. So maybe it will make me want to use it.
Anyway that is it for the month of July. I hope you guys enjoyed this plan with
me video. Of course you'll be seeing me again
at the end of next month to see how my July setup goes, as well as my setup for
the following month. If you guys enjoyed this video please leave a big thumbs up.
Subscribe if you haven't already. I do try to make a new video each and every
week and I will see you guys again very soon. Bye!
