When you just uploaded a new video what
did you do next? I know what I do. I check
its views again and again. Sounds stupid
but I enjoy seeing the views grow higher
and higher. And usually after 24 hours I
can already tell if the video is a hit
or miss. I bet you can tell that, too. Right?
The next big question I always ask
myself: How does the new video perform in
comparison to my older videos? I want to
know if I get more and more successful
with each video I upload. A comparison
would give me the answer. But my old
videos already had a few more weeks to
get even more views. So comparing their
current views would be unfair. We need to
compare them when both were 24 hours old.
And I always forgot how many views each
video had 24 hours after I published
them. So I decided Morningfame shall
help with that. Say hello to the Velocity tab.
Howdy YouTubers. Nico here. You are
probably watching this because you just
got an email from Morningfame about the
video you published yesterday. However, if
you just found this video on YouTube and
don't use Morningfame yet there is a
free invitation in the description.
Ok folks. Let me give you an overview of what
you can do with Morningfame's Velocity tab.
Morningfame checks your
channel for new videos every hour. They
then appear in the Velocity tab and for
the first 72 hours their views and likes
are refreshed. By the way, your
subscribers and channel views are
refreshed as well. Anyway. Over time
you'll get a nice overview of how all your
videos did in their first 72 hours.
To see if a video took off faster or slower
than the other ones you can select it
for comparison. Then its graph is shown
in yellow in the graphs of the other
videos. Quick note: You may wonder why
this video does not start with 0 views.
It's because it was unlisted first and a
few people already watched it before I
set it to public. The graph actually
starts at the moment the video was set
to public. Alright. Before I give you
another pro tip please let me know in
the comments what your thoughts are
about the Velocity tab. And if you are
not subscribed to this channel yet it
would mean a lot to me if you did
subscribe. You'll find the occasional
Morningfame tutorial here but most of the times
it's about tips and tricks for YouTube
creators. Check out this playlist as a
prime example. Ok, now the extra tip.
Since the stats in the Velocity tab are
refreshed every hour you might want to
check back more often. Instead of
accessing it through the emails you get
from Morningfame you can add an icon to
the home screen of your phone. Here is
what you need to do on the iPhone for
example. Open this link in Safari, tap the
share button, tap "Add to Home Screen", and
now you have an icon on your home screen
you can use to open the Velocity tab in
the browser. By the way, on Android and
Windows phone you can do this in a
similar fashion. I hope the Velocity tab
will be useful to you while you continue
to create great videos. Cheers guys!
