Waching daily Jul 14 2017

hi I'm Sophie and welcome to my world today I have an out-of-the-box crazy

crazy thing that I want to share with you which is this tongue depressor

crossbow super fun super easy to make and it's so cool because it really

really shoots so I'm going to teach you how to make one right now for this

project you're going to need a number 16 rubber band glue gun two small spools

one tongue depressor one popsicle stick 128 millimeter paper clip one clothespin

stir sticks scissors and pom-poms so first thing first let's make our arrows

because these are fun and easy now stir sticks come in two different lengths you

can actually also use those little plastic stir straws too but I didn't

have any of those to show you today but you can use these stir sticks they come

in two sizes the main thing here is what's great about the stir sticks

that's not great about the plastic red ones those red plastic straws is that

you can cut a little tiny triangle in the back end here and this is where

you're going to push it against your rubber band which is going to be your

shooter and so you've got a little notch there just like you do in like a regular

arrow so once more I'm going to cut that all I'm doing is cutting from corner to

corner there and cutting into the middle from the other side they were just

cutting a little teeny notch out of there now adults you might want to take

over that cutting job just for safety sake but as you can see that ends up

with a little arrow notch at the end and then we're just going to make these a

little safer because I will tell you these things really do shoot they pack

a punch and so I'm just going to take this little pom-pom and glue it to

the end and what I did is I just put some glue on both sides there so that I

can squeeze this around and again always use adult supervision when using a hot

glue gun okay there you go now let's make the crossbow now if you look at my

website this is a simplified, modified version from the

crossbow that I have on my website it's just simpler it's actually much much

easier and actually I think much better so we've got our tongue depressor we're

going to basically glue this popsicle stick on the end here to make a T

there you go and then we're going to add two more drops of glue on the outside

here one here one here these are for the spools the spools are super important

though that is one thing you really really need if you can't find spools you

just need something that like you could use a bottle cap or like the cap of

toothpaste you're going to need two toothpaste caps something that can stick

up like that because it's going to be where your rubber band goes now for our

site and also to hold our arrow I'm going to take our paper clip and we're

just going to open it up to make like a little elbow and with the skinny

edge the smaller side we're going to glue that to the bottom

so place the glue on the bottom side of your tongue depressor and then take the

skinny side and glue it on there don't burn your fingers you can always use

your popsicle stick there excuse me a stir stick there you go

I love the coffee stir sticks you can use those for all kinds of projects now once

that's dry you can set that down now let's make our shooter part this is just

a 16 number 16 rubber band it's just your standard regular rubber band what

I'm going to do is right in the center try to find the center there I'm going

to tie a knot so that I end up with basically a figure 8 this figure 8 is going

to go one side over one spool one side over the other spool now do make sure

that you let this dry really good before you you're ready to start pulling back

and shooting because you will see you get a little pressure here

pretty good huh and as you can see you could actually forego the next step

which is to add the holder the clip because it's ready to go right now

shoots pretty well huh okay now I'm going to take my my clip holder which is

just a clothespin I'm going to put a string of glue right here and just put

that on to the back end of the tongue depressor there we go

and then you just load it this way now when you're loading it with this clip

here you are going to have to twist your arrow to make it stay but you just lift

this up put it underneath and she's locked and loaded as they say and that's

all there is to it to making your very own crossbow now do you remember this

thing really does shoot so make sure you're never a aiming at a person you're

only ever aiming at inanimate object like a cup or you know make your own

little target stand but I do want to show you how it shoots and so check this

out I'm going to try to aim for my cameraman he's going to hate me for

doing this but here we go pretty good huh for more ideas like this

Your Bridge and Gift - Duration: 0:51.

- A lot of people, when we talk about identity,

or when I talk about identity, they think,

"Oh, what is that?

An activity in me, me, me?

It's all about me?"

And it's actually quite the opposite.

Your identity, as I call it, is your gift to the world.

It is your bridge to the world.

Because identity is all about

how you create value in the world,

it's about what makes you distinctive,

it's about that unique contribution that you

and only you are capable of making to others.

So to me, when we work through identity challenges,

it's an activity, it's an exercise in helping

align you with the world in a way, frankly,

that will become very harmonious, for you

and for those you affect.

Meritocracy is Important - Duration: 1:25.

- If you want to learn about something

and you want to go from here to here, well, you can.

There is every tool in America for you

to become the person you want to become.

Scholarships, help from people, people are open-minded.

People are here for you, you just have to ask.

It's easy to find a mentor, it's easy to find a tutor,

it's easy to find someone to help you move forward

and achieve what you want to achieve.

It's not really about social status.

In my humble opinion, I think it's really

meritocracy in America.

Of course, it depends and we have

the worst example right now and everyone

will understand what I mean, from big social status

to President of the United States.

But, I really feel like meritocracy is what should rule

in America and you have every tool

to achieve what you want to achieve and just go for it.

That's it.

Becoming You 2.0 - Duration: 1:33.

- I realized, going through my divorce,

that I didn't love myself,

that I actually hated myself.

And I blamed myself for the divorce.

And through coaching, which I was going through, as I said,

I recognized that I was living for everybody else,

I was making decisions based on making everybody else happy.

I would do something because it would make my family happy,

or it would make my wife happy,

or it would make my children happy.

And as a result, nobody was happy.

Nobody found any happiness anywhere.

So, I took a moment, and I said,

and I'm going through life coaching,

and I learned about values.

And I never knew what values meant before,

I thought I did, but values are what it is

inside of you that makes it right.

What are the right things for you to do?

And once you figure those out,

you live by those values, and then you're living

within harmony to start to love yourself.

When you get to that point, then, you can start to look

for others to love you,

because you can't ask anybody to love you

until you love yourself.

And that's what happened to me,

that was my transformation, was finding out

that I can like myself.

I have to recognize what's good in me and what isn't,

figure out how to improve what's good,

and eliminate what wasn't.

And there are people now who look at me and say,

"You're Martin 2.0 from who you used to be."

So yeah, that's a big part.

Do You Have a Profitable Business or Expensive Hobby? - Duration: 5:17.

hi everyone it's Natasha here from Inspire and Drive and in today's inspired

moment I'm exploring whether you have a real business or it's just an expensive

hobby this will apply whether you're currently side hustling or you're already

running a business you mighthave started your side hustle as a hobby because

it was something you enjoy or because it was something you were interested in

learning about or have a special talent for and over time you went from doing it

just as fun to thinking maybe I could thurn this into a real business the bottom line is

that businesses need to make money to survive and if you don't then you won't

be able to serve the customers you're really here to help and you could be

folding before long so serious business owners know that having a plan can make

life easier and can help you make informed decisions about what to sell

who to sell to and how to sell and it can help you avoid the pitfalls that

can lead to failure if you are serious side hustler and leaving your full-time job

is your ultimate goal then there's a few questions you should be asking yourself

so first question is do you consistently have customers asking to buy from you

second have customers actually paid for your product or services and third have

they paid you enough to cover the cost of providing your products and services

when you're just getting started you might not be selling at the highest

possible price but the real question is could you if you're not sure if you can

actually make money with your slide hustle then let's start with some very basic

math so stay with me here knowing your basic numbers is critical to your

success and it's a great decision-making tool so step one is how much does it

cost to produce one product or how much is one hour of your time worth if you're

a service provider step two is write down the price that you can or think you can

sell your product or service at and include all the little extras that go

into making up the cost of that product or service and the third step is to work

out whether you have a profit or loss so you take the cost of the products and

service you minus the sales price of the product or service

and that will give you your revenue you to find out what your real profit is

you may need to do some additional adjustments such as taking off the taxes

but cost - sales price gives you your revenue and when you know what that

number is you can make some decision so if the number is more than zero then you

have a profit if it's zero then you're at break even or if it's less than zero

then you are running at a loss so now that you know what these numbers mean

now you can start to make some decisions if the number is 0 or less than 0 you

can explore ways to decrease your cost or increase the price you sell your product

at if your number is positive you can do the same thing to find ways to

increase your profit the next step is to determine how much money you want or

need to make each month or each year how many or how much of your product you

would have to sell to make that number and how many customers you would need to

be able to sell that volume of your product or service and once you've done

this you can start to get real with yourself is your product or service

something that enough customers will want to buy and are willing to pay a

high enough price to get it so that you can make a profit if your answer is yes

then keep building a customer base until you have a consistent and regular income

and in time you can say good bye to your day job on your own terms if on the

other hand your answer is no you might not want to take the leap just yet keep

testing and refining the product until you find a way to make money or be

creative and try something else the entrepreneurial journey is not a

straight line so if at first you don't succeed try again but whether your answer is yes or

no be honest don't fool yourself into thinking you have a profitable business

if all of your pay or all of your savings is what is actually supporting

you if you really love what you're doing but you can't make money

you simply have an expensive hobby and that won't support you in the long run

I know that you have a unique talent or gift to share with the world and I want

success for you so if you need some help with

all of this and want to create a real plan for your side hustle or your

existing business you can download my free 9 to 5 escape plan and join me in my

Facebook community which is called inspired action takers and serious side

hustlers the links to both of these are in the description below and if you like

the video of course please subscribe to my youtube channel so I'll leave you

with a question today are you running a real business or is it just an expensive

hobby and what do you need to change to turn that all around let me know in the

comments below well that's all from me today

until next time take care bye for now and stay Inspired

35 BULLET JOURNAL DOODLES // Decor Ideas - Duration: 6:47.

Hello everyone!

As most of you know, I have been really interested in Bullet Journaling and getting more involved

with the community, trying to find out new ways to use my notebook and keeping productivity

levels to the max.

I decided to film this video since I was going through a ton of the Bullet Journaling Amino

posts and seeing that people want some ideas on how to decorate their bullet journals.

Bullet Journaling Amino is an app where you can search for groups of people who are passionate

about bullet journaling as a hobby and a lifestyle.

It features tons of interesting challenges, discussion and tutorials regarding bullet

journaling and you'll be amazed at the ideas and tips that are shared over there.

If you are new to this organization method and have wanted to start for a while, getting

in touch with people who are starting the same hobby is a great way to get inspired.

I've actually created a challenge that you can try out for yourself, just click the link

to my profile in the down-bar to get started.

This video will be pretty self-explanatory.

I will just show you how to draw banners and bullet journal dividers to spice up your notebook.

You need no artistic talent to make these, since most of them are made just by connecting

the dots.

So keep on watching and let's get started.
