Glenn: Hey folks, Glenn May with BassResource.com, and I'm here with another edition with Hank

Parker's Fishing Tips.

Hank, this week's question, it comes from Mike Burdett from Covington, Washington.

And he says,"Last summer, my son and I fished a small lake with deep diving crankbaits and

10-inch worms in 20 to 30 feet of water, and I never got a strike.

But my buddy, who's on the same lake, he caught several in three feet of water.

I thought bass were supposed to be deep during the summer.

What's going on?"

Hank: You know, that's the biggest misnomer in fishing.

The vast majority, especially people in the southern part of America where it's 100 degrees

in July and August, feel like those fish are gonna be as deep as they can possibly go trying

to find that darker, cooler water.

And the truth of the matter is, the vast majority of water 10 feet down and deeper have no oxygen

left.

All that hot weather has sucked the life out of the water and the good oxygenated water

rises to the surface.

The dead water that has no oxygen in it, falls to the bottom.

And so all that, if you look on your...I use Humminbird Electronics, if you look on your

electronics, you'll see a distinct line, and we call it the thermocline, and everything

below that line has no oxygenation in it.

And so all the fish are above the thermocline.

Occasionally they may go down there and get a yellow perch or something that's holding

out to the last minute and get a little food, but most marine life cannot live below that

thermocline because there's no oxygen.

And that's all these private lakes, small ponds are subject to the exact same condition.

The heavier water has no oxygen in it, no air.

It sinks.

The water that is fertile, that has oxygen and air, it rises to the top.

So the top layer of water are where the fish live.

So the fish are gonna be in three and four and five and six feet of water even though

it's very intense, hot, bright sun, they're gonna be relating in some shady structure

if it's there, but they're gonna be shallow because there's not enough fertile water below,

10, 12 feet deep to support marine life, thermocline.

So that's why you didn't catch 'em 30 feet deep and your buddy's caught 'em 3 and 4 feet.

🍭 Pocket Square Rules. 3⃣ Things that You Need to Remember to Adhere to Pocket Square Rules - Duration: 3:42.

I thought I'm going to do this very quick live video live update because

something came very apparent to me and I thought I will try to to tell you what I

think about things there is this thing I decided to call it a pocket square and

rules, pocket square guide kind of video where I'm going to be talking about the

do's and don'ts about pocket square it's got to be very short video you don't

have to worry about it you don't have to spend too much time with me

square I cannot even imagine me going anywhere

without a pocket square it's not because I've got anything to do with the actual

production of pocket squares and but it's also the fact that I see so many

people not using this opportunity to actually wear a pocket square so there

are probably three major rules and one is that you have to wear a pocket square

and such that's the data starting rule I think that just starting position and

then you are allowed to play with colours so that's second rule so you

have to start looking at them that's number one number two is that you are

allowed to play with colors even if you know normally wouldn't wear any

at all if you all of a sudden pull a yellow or a blue or a white pocket square

you know you're going to look fantastic so so you can easily do that and number

three is that you have to decide what is this fold that you're going to be doing

whether it's one of those folds where you just remove it from a package and

you put it back in or you actually you know do it as a TV fold or you just do

any fold at all or I actually created a video about pocket square folds and you

can see that on my youtube channel if you just type in men's finest - what about

folds people get confused about folds how do you fold a pocket square let me

just put my glasses away because it's not sun

is not shinning any more so if you remove your pocket square I just happen

to have one of mines which is a big sort of silk pocket square what do you do

with it and how do you fold well it's it's super easy but what I usually do

that's what I usually do

yeah that's that's how I fold pocket squares I fold them very naturally and

very sort of as if I don't care about how they go in because I don't really

care about how they going in they're going to look good anyhow because they

are good pocket squares they lots of colors they they're quality piece so

they're going to be alright I hope you enjoy this one that was very

Now I did just get mine in a little plain white box and I don't know if that's how they

So we get the little box and open it up here.

Now the first time when you first sign up your first month you're going to get this

silver and black travel case.

Which is just really sleek.

I like that.

And then quarterly with each seasonal quarter you will get a new case so you can mix up

your colors and stuff and put a little more fun pop into it.

But all you have to do is twist the cap and it comes up and you can spray it.

And let's go ahead and spray.

I'm not even sure what I got here.

But I'm going to spray.

I'm just going to let it air for a second.

Oh that is so good.

That is so good.

Now see when I signed up I said that I love florals and umm this is a gorgeous floral

smell.

I love this.

This is when I wish they had smell o vision cause it is really hard to tell you how good

a perfume smells.

Oh but that's great.

So let's see we are just supposed to pull up on this black part right here and there

is our fragrance sample.

What I got was the Versace Bright Crystal.

So mmm that is some good stuff.

I like that.

And as you can see that is a nice good sized sample.

Now this is supposed to last you on average 30 days.

I could easily see that lasting me 30 days.

And this is great because throw it in your makeup bag throw it in your purse.

Nothing is going to happen to this thing.

You don't have to worry about perfume spilling out.

And let's see I should probably mention that it is 30 ounces, you get 9ml and that's a

large size sample for a fragrance too.

That's more than other ones that I have seen.

So that is a really great deal.

Another really neat thing about their website too that I noticed is after you, you can take

the fragrance survey or you can just pick whichever one you want.

You don't have to take the survey.

But then you get to go in and pick the fragrances that you want from luxury high end designer

fragrances.

And there's like a little calendar and you can choose which one you want to receive each

month.

And you can mix them around.

Or you can be like this month I want Versace and next month I want Michael Kors.

And then you can go oh nevermind I don't want Versace let's put, you know, this there instead.

So it's totally customizable.

You can do it however you want.

It's just, I think it's a really neat deal.

I'm excited about this.

And I love fragrance.

I love and this smells so good.

It's not overwhelming it's just the perfect scent.

I really, I am very pleased with this.

And I didn't pick this one since they were sending it to me.

I just told them what I liked and this is what they picked for me so I would say their

fragrance specialists got it right on for me.

there are times when it is necessary to abandon our humanity to save humanity

A scene that really got to us obviously was, you know, the death of Caesar's family and was there

ever a moment in the story where there was an extra beat where we got to like

see him get buried or have a funeral or or anything like that?

oh yes we did there was

a scene you know it's interesting the scene where they're by the riverside there

was a scene like that where they went through this ritualistic thing and they

would set the the bodies off into the stream and you saw this from all of the

Apes who died in the opening battle and then after that you see them returning

and now they're releasing Cornelia and Blue Eye's bodies and you're on

Caesar and you're just pushing in on Caesar and he's sitting there watching

them and it goes from that moment to him going and picking up a firearm and he's

like take the gun and and then there and then Maurice comes in is like going

"what's going on here?" and you know they're those scenes I would even say

you know that we were going to include some of them on the DVD but we don't

that one didn't get very far along in the edit because it became clear that

there were too many steps the thing is the story is sprawling it's so big and

we were able to get the emotion across more succinctly than that we were able

to powerfully get through it but Andy was amazing in those scenes it was really cool

I wish I got to see that scene

belt collection.

As you can see, I absolutely love this style of belt, and this is my own personal collection.

My favorite thing about these belts is that they are two inches wide.

I find that this is really flattering on a variety of body shapes.

They fit in every single one of my pairs of jeans and pretty much all modern styles of

breeches, which tend to have wider belt loops.

These are all made with beautiful Italian leathers, and they're handmade in Italy.

The other thing is that the buckle has a really beautiful and distinctive shape that I just

love.

Instead of being a straight piece of leather, there's just a slight curve to them.

Personally, I think that that fits a woman's body shape a little bit better, and it contributes

to the belt being really comfortable to wear.

These belts are perfect for any rider who wants to look especially stylish while in

the saddle while wearing their breeches or with your favorite pair of jeans.

The quality of these belts means they'll last years and years.

In terms of sizing they come in small, medium, and large, which coordinates with your normal

pants or breeches size.

- To be successful, you have to plan out your study.

So it's really easy to just jump from

one emersions to the other

and kind of just react to the situation.

You're much better off being proactive

and planning out your study time,

planning out your restorative time,

so that you get through these four years

invigorated, and really excited to gain new knowledge.

- Don't sweat the small stuff

and stay open minded.

So a lot of students come in with a very rigid set of

goals that they have of where they want university

to take them and the career path that they have

and I think you should use these four years

to explore as much as possible,

learn as much about yourself and your interests,

and then, at the end of the four years,

make the decisions of what you want to do.

- You really have to learn put the time in

and work and start working right away,

start looking at the material right away

because, what's going to happen is,

at some point during the term,

something's going to go wrong,

something silly, something small,

and you're going to lose time,

you're going to lose track of something,

you're going to run out of time on an assignment,

and if you're not ahead to start with,

then you'll end up behind.

But if you're ahead and you lose time,

now you're just on time.
