Welcome to this lock zoutorial. Before we
begin, check the list of halls in the video
description to make sure you're watching
the right video for your hall. You will
need your Mizzou student ID card, also
known as your Tiger Card, and you will
need to know your Tiger PIN number to be
able to enter your room. You'll need to
access the idcardmanager website while
on campus to setup your notifications
open your door upon a lockout,
and change your PIN number.
I'll show you how to do all these things
in this zoutorial.
For the exterior doors of your residence
hall, swipe your Tiger Card with the
magnetic strip facing the keypad.
The keypad will light up, then the light
will turn green. Allow a few seconds for
the light to turn green. In order to open
your room door, you'll need to know the
last four digits of your student ID number,
which are your default Tiger PIN number.
Go to myzou.missouri.edu
click on "self service" then
"Campus Personal Information," and finally
"Demographic Information."
Your ID number will be visible here.
To access your room or bathroom,
swipe your card with the magnetic strip
facing away from the keypad, or hold up
your card to the sensor at the bottom
of the lock.
You will now see an amber light.
Enter your Tiger PIN. You will now see a
green light and can enter your room or
bathroom.
To change your PIN number or get a one-use
access code to your room if you're locked
out, you'll need to use
idcardmanager.missouri.edu website
and you have to be on campus to do this.
The first time you login you'll be prompted
to setup your preferences. By default,
all preferences are set to your student
email account, but for ease, you may want
to change them to your phone. You can use
the website from either a computer or a
smart phone. If you're on a wireless
device, you must be connected to
"Tiger WiFi," not "Tiger WiFi Guest"
to complete this process.
