Cyberpunk 2077 stream part 2: Gameplay, Bad jokes, Mr Ruvver, Life path, Fireman ideas - Duration: 21:07.

Yes, in fact, I believe that they said, well, I know that they said that Cyberpunk 2077

was going to have a huge inspiration on the Deus Ex saga, and especially in the last one

Mankind Divided?

Human Revolution?

No, Mankind divided, that was the last Yes?

Am I right?

I believe so

They said they were going to inspire the game

in the gameplay of Deus Ex which I believe is great, because they already

developed a great Cyberpunk game But I expect, or I hope, that I will have

more options, because actually in Deus Ex you only could do things two ways: one was

shooting and the other one was stealth and then you had this hacking minigame

but I believe that considering that we are going to have very different character classes

that are very different, and have very different skills, and they have very different ways

of solving things I really hope that we have more options on

the ways that we have to solve things And I believed I really expressed myself like

shit Did you understand what I mean?

I think I know what you mean that's another aspect of Deus Ex, there were

so many different skills that you could put your augmentations into to enhance your abilities

but you couldn't do them all so there were like 5 or 6 different ways of

solving problems, even just sometimes, like, how are you going to break into this building?

Are you going to shoot your way through the front door?

Are you gonna try and find a secret entrance on the roof?

Are you gonna try to hack your way in?

Are you gonna hack the robots to attack the guards?

There's often just tons and tons of different ways that you could do things

They never gave you the option to bribe someone

To do what?

To bribe someone, what if you're a Fixer?

To bribe someone!

If you're a Fixer you're going to try to bribe someone

One of the things that I realized becoming a YouTuber is that you really need to be careful

with what you say because as a real person, in real life, one of the most annoying things

that you encounter in your life is when you try to explain something and people is, maybe

you're not explaining yourself properly, or people don't understand or understand a different

thing, and it happens to everybody!

I'm absolutely sure!

That's something that happens to everybody Now imagine that instead of talking to one

person you are talking to hundreds of people, the possibilities of people misunderstanding

what you say multiply exponentially and it's kind of frustrating when you say something

and you see people understanding the opposite, and you're like "Maybe I wasn't very clear

with what I said?"

And then you explain again and they don't seem to understand, is like having a couple

argument over and over, fortunately, it doesn't happen a lot, maybe this means that I know

how to explain things make them easy to understand

It's really frustrating, really mostly because sometimes I say a joke and

then people take the joke for serious and I'm like "Oh!

No!

That was a joke!

Hello?"

Actually, this happens to me in real life, is not a YouTube thing, it also happens in

real life, that I say something stupid and people stares at me like

I remember, lots and lots of years ago I was dating a guy who was really hot but stupid

as a fucking shoe

I mean, so stupid

And one day I was joking, it was Christmas and I needed to go to pick up a present for

my brother and I made a joke that my cat was pissing everywhere at home and she pissed

over my jacket and then I put the jacket on because it really smelt bad and this way I

could go shopping and people would go away from me and would let me some space

and I was explaining that in front of his family who weren't as smart as he was

and they were all looking at me like what I was saying was true, like "hello?

It was a joke!

You know?

Cool" Who uses a piece of clothing where your cat

just pissed on?

I thought it was clear it was a joke sometimes this multiplies when you talk on

YouTube Yes, it had nothing to see with Cyberpunk

2077 but yes, it's quite frustrating Yes

Well, Darth Raver 8686 says: "Do you guys think that the life path from the PNP game

will have a place in Cyberpunk 2077?"

Good question Life path

Well, one of the main differences that we're going to see here in the game regarding the

original game is that, according to your leak, and we're going to believe you guys in here

we're going to somehow be able to switch from one type of character to another so

when you built your character sheet when you were going to play a game, you defined your

character very well but playing a video game is completely different, mostly because lots

of people that are going to play this video game never heard of and never played Cyberpunk

2020 they don't know what a tabletop game is

and I hope that this is the case because if only the nerds that played the 2020 are going

to buy the game, these are going to be very low sales numbers

Not only that is a small portion of people who have read anything about this game, watched

the trailers, watched the stuff that they put out and they'll have issues with it, they

really will, because everybody does when it comes to heavy class based games, and then

people will try something that they don't like, and they'll be really disappointed with

I know that once the game is out I'm absolutely sure that there's going to be people that

are going to say that the game was "dumbed down", because that's something that people

love saying, but the truth is that I One second

Tomer says "Madqueen, Release of Cyberpunk 2077"

Ok, if this stream reaches 100 people we'll talk about that

Promise You'll click the button because it's just

sitting there ready to go Yes

we'll talk about that If not, we'll talk about that in a video that

will have more views muahahaha

Evil laugh Mhuahahahaha

Ok, back to the building

I think Tomer is suggesting that you really

know what this game should be about, so you should be in charge of it, I think

That's what I'm reading into it

I had lots of people saying that I should

work at CD Projekt RED, because, well, I don't know why they believe that, maybe because

I know the 2020 very well but, yeah, people of CDPR, you're not going

to watch this and you're never going to see my face, but I would love you to hire me

Please I'll send you my CV

Back to the character things, dumbed down, a sentence that this week I head like a thousand

times, saying that video games are going down and down because they need to dumb them down

to reach... sorry, I forgot how to speak

Just give me one second to reboot my brain Yes, rebooted.

Yes So

Oh yeah You got the blue screen?

Yes

You're still running Windows Vista in there?

No, I just had the new Kiroshi for the translation and it doesn't work very well because I needed

to get the cheap one Everybody loves Kiroshi except me

So, dumb down the game Actually I will find really OK if they tried

their best to explain the classes for people who are not used to the game and also there

is a lot of people who played the game a long time ago and they don't remember the game

very well because they didn't study the game, just played a couple of days and that's it

So, I don't know why people are so obsessed with "the game should be done for as little

people as possible" Like, one thing is dumbing down in the terms

of Transformers or Ghost in the Shell where they really took a story and they turned it

into something absolutely dumb, and a different thing is trying to make the games for as many

people as possible and I don't believe that the stories of the games, in the sense of

storytelling, that stories of the games are going down, they are really complex, you play

Deus Ex, you play Horizon Zero Dawn or Prey, they are stories that they are not dumb down

but, the game mechanics that are trying to make them easier for people that are not as used

to game mechanics as in the 80s because also the options that you had in the

80s were so different to the ones you have right now, if you're into retro-gaming you'll

see that, you will know that

You go back and play my favorite games from

when I was a kid, and I was like "Ho.Lee!

How did I play this?" mechanics are just terrible

Yes, mechanics improved

It's a little bit of rose-colored glass when you're like "I remember when games were difficult"

well, you remember when games were you had no experience... this one example

the original first Zelda I remember back in the day when that game

first came out and my older brother and an older friend were trying to play it, were

trying to figure out how to get pass this one NPC and I suggested "why don't you give

them a piece of meat in your inventory?" and they thought I was god for the next week,

because I figured that out Nowadays you go "duh" right?

So there's a little bit of rose-colored glass but at the same time there is a little bit

of dumbing down and sometimes a lot of dumbing down in comparison to some more complex games

like pen and paper stuff but

It's a different medium, I think you need

to keep that in mind, a video game is never going to simulate the experience of the pen

and paper game unless it's literally just a virtual area like we were talking about

earlier for you to meet and play the pen and paper game

A video game like this is not going to be just like non all of the medieval fantasy

RPGs are exactly like D&D

There is something if video games always get

a little bit closer to tabletop games

there is something that we really need in this kind of video games that are closer to

tabletop games and these are one thing that I don't know

how is called in English, but in Spanish is called fireman ideas

What are fireman ideas?

Fireman ideas?

Yes They are the worst ideas possible to solve

a situation but they are so bad that maybe your game director would approve of them,

would allow you to go on with them for instance, I'm going to put an example

of a game of mine, of Cyberpunk 2020, I wasn't the one directing it

One in the team wanted to have a tank you know, a tank?

Well, he couldn't afford it So, the game director said "well, wait until

you have enough experience, and you take a couple of jobs more and then you will have

enough money to buy a tank" but he wanted to have a tank

so, well, what did this guy do?

He bought a shopping cart, well he stole a shopping cart from a mall

and then put a hose, a gas tank, and a shopping cart

So he made a tank out of this?

Yes, he made a tank out of that, so that is called "fireman ideas"

You can also make a really good bomb with it

I'm trying to figure out what "fireman ideas" might render to in English here

How do you say it in Spanish?

"Ideas de bombero"

Ok

That's "fireman ideas" I don't know

Some of my viewers are Spanish and one understood what I mean with "Fireman Ideas"

"Ideas de bombero" Yes, that So, isn't there a term in English that is

close to that?

Or we are so dumb and so stupid in Spain that we needed a word just for that?

I don't know When I punched it into the translator it literally

just translates like "firefighter ideas" so I don't know

Crapshoot maybe?

Crapshoot?

Never heard that?

Is kinda like when you out of ideas and you just have this one remaining idea that is like

almost guaranteed not to work but it's your only option so you're gonna try it anyway

But to be a "fireman idea" you need this to be insanely creative and stupid both

And if it's dangerous then better It's another point to add

I don't know if we have a word for that in English, let me think about it

Jay Surname says "The closest thing I can think of is redneck science/engineering"

Oh, yeah, that works, redneck engineering is like

What is "Redneck engineering"?

It's making a tank out of a shopping cart, and a hose and a gas tank

It like if you picture a guy living out in the middle of nowhere in southern Texas and

he needs a tank, that's what he would do That works too

We need an option that is having this kind of fireman ideas in video games

We need a word for that

Everything that we can do in video games is

so logical, I mean, there's no absurd way of going through situations, except in games

that are intended to be comedy, but in serious games, there is no room for fireman ideas

And I believe that we are missing a great point in here

that is having fun you can have fireman ideas in DOOM but usually,

they all involve shooting things and I believe that this is a great philosophy,

actually, in DOOM they didn't implement the fireman ideas but this is the way they thought

the whole structure of the game

Or mayby McGyvering may be one way of saying that

yes

You head of McGyver?

Yes, I know this guy My mother used to love him

I don't know, he's to do stuff like that all the time

Speaking of killing people, where's Mr Ruvver?

She's sleeping She has a hungover, she drank too much yesterday

Because I swear I woke up like at 3 am and saw her looking in my bedroom window

Oh, you're dreaming with her again!

Maybe it was a nightmare but I just want to make sure, if you could actually show me that

she's there with you I would feel a lot more comfortable

Well, I don't know, I didn't check on her Maybe next time that I go to the bathroom

I go to her room to check on her But I didn't check

Was it a nightmare or was it an erotic dream or a nightmare, are you sure of that?

I don't know

Under which category does this dream fall into?

You're not seeing my face right now because the camera has lag but, yes, you will see

it in a minute and you will understand what I said

I'm seeing it right now and I'm thinking that I'm just gonna keep looking over my shoulder here

Darth Raver 8686 asks "Mr Ruvver is a she?"

Yes, actually Mr Ruvver is gender fluid because she doesn't have a human body, she's a sock,

so she can choose, and she just chose that she wants to be a She, and maybe one day she

changes her mind and he wants to be a he, as there is nothing that limits her to chose

her own gender she is just going to do as she pleases

The lack of chromosomes can help in that regard

I'm hearing a sound here

Lack of anything below the neck

I think it's my cat, is fucking annoying

Lack of all DNA

Oh, she's sleepy!

You don't have a microphone on, you can't talk

Yes.

No.

I hear you but they don't

She just drank too much yesterday

Problem is that Well, problem, is not exactly a problem

but a couple of weeks ago was the birthday of my sister in law and I bought an insane

amount of drinks to bring to her party, to make mojitos for a huge crowd and in the end

I couldn't go because I wasn't feeling well and now I have my home filled with things

to do mojitos So, well, I said at the start of the story

that this wasn't a problem But, yes, which means that every now and then

I'm like "Oh! I fancy a mojito"

because usually is not that I drink a lot at home but lately is... tempting

it's really tempting

I just look like an alcoholic now!

But, yes, you know what I mean she drank a lot so she has a hangover today

and she sleeping so she's asking me to keep in down

which I am not going to do but, anyway

Pierluigi Capulto said "next time I will send you a print with Mr Ruvver"

You mean Mr Ruvver and you?

Oh...

I know what you do dream when you dream with Mr Ruvver

Well, I don't know if people is getting this, because she's slightly, not annoyed, just

a little disappointed that you are calling her my mascot

because she's not In case you didn't notice by now she's my

imaginary friend so, the fact that you are seeing her as well

means that you are not completely sane yourselves

We're as mad as you are?

Maybe not as much but, yeah, a little you are seeing her as well

she's my imaginary friend so, please don't call her my mascot, she's not

she doesn't like to be called "a sidekick"

even if she is, she is my sidekick she's my Robin

but without superpowers well, Robin doesn't have superpowers

except being annoying

God Will Appear Before You - Duration: 9:05.

My video got disconnected.

It got disconnected for some reason because I didn't do it but God did it.

Because I was blah, blah blahing for seven minutes.

He said, "Say things precisely."

Which is, "God will appear before you."

Until that happens, nothing is going to happen.

You aren't going to stop your breath because you will die if you stop your breath.

And that is impossible and to turn the body into Light is even harder than that.

Stopping the breath should proceed before the body turning into the light.

(Speaks in Tamil) This is Manickavasar.

And he said, "I saw him with my eyes."

"He was like a Red Lotus Color, shining like millions of sun together."

"And I saw him.

Then he just this placed his foot on my head and I was done."

"I had an altered consciousness and in this consciousness, I lost my rational mind."

"But I was in bliss."

And that was an initiation.

And during Ramalingam's life, what happened.

Shiva appeared many times and then, as a Light Being, hugged him, and then the brain started

to function in a very different way.

And then, this has been the way that most people got enlightenment.

People who talk about enlightenment belong to a certain other category; and then they

die.

And I'm not here to talk about them, because that is not my model.

Or at least, I cannot relate to that model.

What I can relate to the model is a model of living a divine life, the life Divine.

And it cannot happen until you are blessed with it.

Sri Aurobindo meditated all his life, you know.

Getting into Pondicherry and meditating four months in a row and coming out and giving

a little bit of Darshan and going back into meditation again.

But he ended up getting old and blind.

So he didn't have the Grace.

So, the Grace -- This is the Mountain of Grace.

I have no doubt about it.

So I want to spend as much of my life here at this place going forward.

And that again, cannot happen until He permits me.

And then blesses me with that.

This is the best thing that has ever happened in my life.

And then, I am going to share with you many videos and also especially for those who have

been studying with me in the one-year program.

I have taken you through Three or four years of instructions.

And now, what I am going to talk about will completely take you to a different realm.

Because that is that is how it is, because learning on this earth plane, you don't find

anything instantaneously.

Time has to pass before we improve upon everything.

That's the nature of the earth plane.

So, you have to start with a 286 computer.

I don't know of anybody of many people will know what is a 286 computer to a cell, to

a mobile phone that acts like a computer today.

It's a matter of 40 years of time or more have gone since we have come to this point.

But at least we're happy.

So, what has to happen is -- God has to appear in front of you.

And that is going to be the videos that I would be doing.

And how that can happen.

And how it's comparable to other traditions where it is called some sort of an abduction.

You are abducted into a Light or taken into a different realm and changed.

And one thing that I remember, I think I've mentioned it before; Reagan was going for

his birthday party.

This is Shirley MacLaine who talks about it in her website.

And he was stopped by an Alien and then, said "What are you doing here?

You have to become the president of the United States."

And so he was delayed and delayed and delayed; and then he has to come and apologize to Shirley

MaClaine who organized this event.

"See, this is what happened to me."

And there's a book called "Reagan's God."

And then, you know, I can understand that book now after getting this information.

Who is an alien?

Alien is a God.

He is a God.

And this Harvard psychiatrist who wrote the book, "Passport to the Cosmos", I forget his

name now.

He was a great friend of Shirley MacLaine.

He was into that - into getting into a technology that can give us answers for our suffering.

We are all sufferering.

You may you may think that a billion dollar will give you liberation.

No -- it can give you a good hotel room.

And then, maybe some good wine and then you know, sex or what-not.

But then that's not going to give you God.

A billion dollar will never give you God.

So, you know, what is worthwhile is -- being in the company of God is trillion dollar worth.

You cannot put a value to that.

Because you'll be completely blissed out because you will realize your own identity is God.

So you know, when you listen to me, this particular video is very different from other videos.

Because I am speaking out from my own heart.

Of what all this is about.

And why are we, you know, like involved in the mad rat, in the rat race.

You know, to get money and then get old and die.

So that has to stop.

And then people have to really know what is life.

Stop it.

Stop it and do something about your own self realization.

Tom advises Greg "first week" - Duration: 2:04.

Well, the first thing you should do is decide on the type of job you want.

If you don't know what you're looking for, you won't find it.

Yes, I suppose you're right.

I mean, that sounds sensible.

What else do you suggest?

Another thing you could do is register with a job search website.

You tell them what your interests are and what type of job you're looking for.

They send you emails about the relevant vacancies.

That sounds like a great idea.

Yes.

But don't forget, you have to give them a clear idea of what it is you're looking for.

If you don't do that, they'll send you information about lots of jobs that don't interest you.

OK.

Do you think I should include details of my previous jobs?

Yes, definitely.

And think about what you have to offer.

You should make some notes about the different skills you have.

For example, what do you do for your current job?

What skills do you have that you could use in a new job?

I see.

I can mention my IT skills.

Anything else?

Along with registering online with job portals, it's a good idea to register with an employment

agency.

Do you have a CV?

Yes, but I wrote it last year.

That's another thing you should do right away.

Make sure your CV is up to date and ready to send as soon as you see an interesting

job.

You'll need it for the job portal and the employment agency as well.

Of course.

I'll do that right away.

Why don't you send me your CV when it's ready?

I can look at it and check it for you.

Thanks, Tom!

That would be great.

This is really useful.

Any other tips?

I know you use social media quite a lot.

But do you know how to use it to help you get a job?

What do you mean?

I read an article the other day in Business World Magazine about using the internet and

social media to look for jobs.

I'll send you the link.

Let me see.

I think I have it here.

Toms advice for Greg "second week" - Duration: 2:17.

I'm sorry I'm late.

That's OK.

I don't have much time now, though.

So are you ready for the interview?

Well, I've read quite a lot about the company, so I think I'm OK with that.

Perhaps you can give me some other tips though?

Sure.

Well, first of all, you have to arrive on time for the interview.

Of course, that won't be difficult.

I don't know.

You're always late when you meet me.

Oh, that's different.

Try to get there at least 15 minutes before the interview.

OK.

Now the other thing, Greg, is that it's very important that you make a good first impression.

Of course.

So how do I do that?

Well, to start with, you must think carefully what you're going to wear for the interview.

You have to dress smartly.

You really mustn't go to the interview dressed like that.

OK, so do you think I have to wear a shirt and tie?

Yes, I think it's a good idea.

You don't have to wear a suit, but you really mustn't wear jeans.

Wear smart trousers and a jacket.

Remember, this is a job interview.

You want to impress.

Right, I'll make sure I'm smart.

Is there anything else you recommend?

Sure.

Practise answering some questions before the interview.

For example, they'll probably say something like, tell me about yourself?

You mustn't start talking about your life history or your family.

Just tell them about job related skills and qualifications you have.

This is really useful advice.

What other questions do you think they'll ask?

[RINGTONE MUSIC PLAYING] Oh, and that's something else.

You must turn off your phone before you go into the interview.

Sorry.

Don't worry.

I have to get back to the office now anyway.

I'll send you an e-mail later with some other questions if you want.

That would be great.

Thanks.

Video Review of Week 2 "second week" - Duration: 4:20.

Hi, I'm Karen, one of the educators on the course.

This week we looked at the topic of interviews.

It was a very busy week with a lot to do.

A huge thank you to everyone for all the comments that made

it a very interesting and enjoyable week.

Before we begin, you may have noticed a new feature - pinned comments.

This is a way that we can mark a comment and it stays at the top of

the thread.

The comments are not the answers but are interesting ideas or models of good writing.

Feel free to comment on a pinned post or use it as an

example for your own writing.

Do continue reading other comments and making comments as this is

a great way to practice your writing and to learn from each other.

This week, we began by asking you about your experiences of interviews and you shared some

great stories.

Have a look at the interesting discussion under the pinned comment by Marina Chetverikova.

Some of the stories made me laugh out loud, especially one from Marta Sola who was caught

unprepared for an interview.

In step 2.3 we talked about preparing for the interview.

Meri Mari summarized it well in her post, saying that you need to prepare for lots of

different types of questions.

You might not get asked all the questions but it's good to be ready

just in case.

In step 2.7 we talked about ways to help you prepare for an interview.

Takashi Akutsu suggests writing notes in bullet points so you are

not tempted to look at your papers a lot.

He also advises drinking water if it offered.

An interesting question came from Girlane Murillo who wonders if the interview is the

best way to find out if someone is a good fit.

Maybe some people don't perform well in an interview and there might be

another way.

What do you think?

Add your comments to the thread.

When talking about your skills, it's important to give a real example from your own experience.

Saying 'I'm a good manager, or I can be flexible' is something anyone can say.

But how do you know?

Giving a concrete example shows the interviewer that you have this skill and the experience.

We sometimes use a STAR approach that can help plan these examples.

S is for situation, what happened, T is the task, what you had to do,

A is for action, what you did, and R is for the result - a

good one usually.

It doesn't have to be too long.

There's a good example from Carlos Smicelato, which I've added below.

There's a link to this technique is on step 2.22.

Some of you commented on the more difficult questions such as 'What salary do you want?'

or Why did you leave your last job?'.

Valentina Purcel offers some useful suggestions on the salary question

and I've added a link to some comments on other difficult questions.

The grammar this week was on the language of obligation, must and mustn't, don't

have to and have to.

Have a look at Manuel Mena's comment where he uses these words in sentences.

He has good examples.

There has been a lot of talk about face to face interviews but we mustn't forget online

interviews.

Most of the interviews I have had in the last 10

years have been online.

The same principle applies but one advantage for me is that I am in a familiar

environment and so I feel fairly comfortable.

Of course, you need to practice with someone online beforehand

to check the connections and technology work well.

One of the highlights this week was the Facebook live event where Neil, David, Sally and Tina

answered lots of your questions.

Don't worry if you missed it, you can watch it on the Facebook site

and a PDF will be posted soon.

So sit back, get a cup of tea, put your feet up.

I'll leave you with my top tip for interviews – it's a short one – Smile!

It makes a huge difference.

Next week we will be looking at starting a job and all the things involved on your first

day.

Have a lovely weekend everybody.

Bye!

I thought you liked your job "first week" - Duration: 2:14.

Hi, Mali.

You look tired.

Hi, Yasmin.

I am tired.

Very tired.

Come on, have your coffee.

You look as if you need it.

I do.

I'm working so hard at the moment.

I work late nearly every day.

I'm a bit fed up to be honest.

Cheer up.

I thought you liked your job.

I do, but it's difficult in our store because only two of us work full time.

What?

You mean all the other staff are part time?

Yes.

Most of the other people only work three days a week, and I work 6.

On my day off, I only want to sleep, so there's no time to do anything.

So are you thinking of changing jobs?

Maybe.

But there are things that I like about my job.

I really like working with people and I do a lot of that.

I don't want to lose that contact with customers.

I know.

I like working with people too.

Would you like to work in a bigger store?

Perhaps I can see if there are any vacancies at my work.

It's a big store and there are lots of opportunities to work with people.

I don't know.

I enjoy working in a small team.

I think I have more responsibility.

I have lots of responsibility too, and I work in a big team.

Yes, but you're the manager of your department.

That's true.

But I think you'd enjoy working in a bigger store.

You have to work a lot, but there's probably more opportunities for promotion.

Well, I don't mind working a lot, but I'd prefer not to work on a Saturday and Sunday.

I'd like to have my weekends again.

Most of our jobs have flexible hours.

Do you want me to see if there are any vacancies?

Oh, I don't know.

Perhaps things will get better at my work.

Hm.

It sounds as if you need to decide first if you really want to change your job.

The other day, I saw this quiz-- that might help you.

Let me see if I can find it.

You should try it.

Mali's CV "first week" - Duration: 2:09.

there are lots of different ways to write a CV and different people prefer

different ways there isn't one perfect correct way but

Mali's CV is a good example let's take a look it's neat and easy to read isn't

it a one-page CV is good but two pages are ok too if you have more information

to include the molle does at the top of the CV Mali's full name is very clear

that's important and in the top section here she has a personal information like

her address and how she can be contacted she could include a heading that says

personal information but it's okay without that - next we have employment

that is employment history the places where Mali's worked and what

professional experience she has if you've never had a job you can still

include this a mention for example any volunteering you've done now we have

education your academic background don't include primary school here just

secondary and university and any other courses or training you've done then

mali lists her skills this is where you can show an employer the skills you have

especially the skills that are right for this job then interests employers like

to get an idea of what kind of hobbies and interests you have you don't need to

go into too much detail here and finally references your references

are people like your former managers or college professors people an employer

can contact to perhaps learn a little more about you so it looks like Mali's

done a pretty good CV but it's missing some information can you see what it is

Yasmin's advice on Mali's CV "first week" - Duration: 2:44.

Earlier, we looked at Mali's CV.

Mali sent her CV to her friend, Yasmin, to read.

It's a good idea to ask someone else to check your CV.

They might notice some important things that you've missed.

Let's listen to the phone conversation where Yasmin gives Mali advice on her CV.

As you listen, try to make notes on the advice Yasmin gives.

[PHONE RINGS] Hello, Mali here.

Hi, Mali, it's Yasmin.

I got your CV and covering letter, and I had a look at them.

Oh, thanks.

I'm sorry I can't come around.

I had to stay late at work to sort out a problem.

But I can help you on the phone.

Why don't we talk about them now?

Sure.

So what do you think?

They're pretty good.

There are just a few things you could change or add.

OK.

Just a second while I open it on my computer.

Let's start with the CV.

You included all your personal details, which is good.

But replace the word birthday with DOB.

DOB?

Yes, date of birth.

Oh, right.

Moving on, the part on employment is OK, but I think you can improve it.

Can you include more?

It's best to have more information about previous work experience if you can.

Well, I haven't worked anywhere else.

I've done some volunteer work, that's all.

That's great.

When did you do that?

I worked in China as a volunteer teacher in 2006.

Perfect.

Add that to show you have more work experience.

OK.

Anything else?

Yes.

In the education part, you need to include the dates.

Right.

So after International Baccalaureate, I can write the year-- mm when was that?

I did the exam in 2005.

And I did my course in business studies in 2011.

I'll add those dates.

Good.

The only other thing to complete is at the end.

You need to include the name of a previous employer who can say something about you and

your work.

You forgot to include that.

Oh, of course, references.

I had to talk to my boss, but I've done that now, so I can add his name.

Do you think I should have another name too?

Yes.

Why don't you include one of your lecturers from the university?

OK, I'll do that.

The rest of the CV looks fine.

Let's look at the letter now.

OK, just a second while I open it.

Pop Culture Power Hour: Switzerland & Isle of Dogs l Ep 2 - Duration: 8:40.

Hey Everyone! My name is Suneel and I like alternate reality more than the

Earth 3 version of Suneel honestly really doesn't like me that much. Brutal. What up yo! This is Yerro the

nomadic always keep it moving and I keep things frantic.

And welcome to another episode of the Pop Culture Power Hour

so we're gonna give you our fav recommendations for the

pop culture stuff that were really enjoying this past week.

Yeah and we know everybody's pretty busy so we trying to keep it to an hour of

stuff that we handcrafted just for you. Yeah Yerro get us started! All right let's

get it rolling I just finished watching season three of Narcos and I

recommend you watch the trailer and watch it before you decide whether to go

through with the whole season because it's a little bit more like chess and a

little bit less like checkers, so more mind games and the strategies

are coming in exactly. I like it all. Right my next one is, my first one is

a really cool trailer for if you know Wes Anderson you know the style, you know

is that aesthetic and it's really cool but his new trailer and new movie Isle of Dogs

just dropped the trailer. I love it a lot, everything from the colour

choices there's a lot of Japanese and Chinese experimentation in it with the

theme of the Isle of Dogs which is really cool. Yeah it's stop-motion so

every frame is a picture put together 24 pictures in one second so it's a movie

like so much and I like it so much and I'm excited to see it in March. The cast is amazing, can't wait to see this

movie. Yeah, I just finished watching it too. Watch the whole trailer because

then it just builds up. SO it's a little package story, yeah exactly,

cool, thanks for sharing. Yeah so next up I want to you know shout out to all

the strong women and everybody else doing stuff but the Emmy Awards there's

a cool recap done by Indiewire where they go through like all the winners and

losers but really just gives you a sense of the progress people are making you

know the diversitys in there so really cool

check it out. It's good to rep all the diversity and the racial integrity to

happen. Alright so the next up we've got some pictures for you all. One first

one the DC TV crossover some kind of Flash, Arrow, Legends you know as always a

crossover but this year we're having Crisis on Earth X and so evil versions

of our favorite heroes versus the heroes and it looks really really good and they

even have a kind of a comic book poster that looks like just that and like comic

books stuff with the TV stuff, it's great. My next one number two is the first

picture of the Wasp, Evangeline Lilly in her wasp suit from the new movie it

looks really exciting she looks really badass and I can't wait to see that in

motion just fly yeah little action blasts and so yeah I'm excited.

Who would win between a evil Suneel and like normal Suneel,

Evil Suneel would win. Earth X Suneel is like ahhh and I'm ahhh

Ok cool so shifting gears a little bit this is something that's always I've always found

interesting having lived in Switzerland, it's one of those countries where things

seem to just run so smoothly but nobody knows how it almost seems like it so

it's got broken down by Visual Politics. Check out this video they go into like

what these people are doing that's just separating them from everybody else and

have literally what I think is the best system right now. I mean I like Swiss

chocolate, thats something. Yeah alright my next recommendation is if you've seen the

show Man Seeking Woman you know it's all like funny quirky romantic comedy and all that kind of stuff

but the original book is a lot of fun just short stories by an author Simon

Rich and lots of cool stuff so the book is either Man Seeking Woman or the Last

Girlfriend on Earth if they have an older version but NPR actually has

the first kind of short story called Unprotected about a little condom that

gets bought by like a 14 year old boy and lives in his wallet for a three or

four or five years and it's really cool to see the life as he meets new cards

come in yeah money comes in and it's kind of like the life as your view from

a condom. That's hilarious! That's a twist. But yeah don't don't do that, dont keep condoms. They have expiry dates.

yeah and this shouldn't be in your wallet. Cool, alright um so this is video I just

checking out this week it's an interview with Tom Bilyeu who's like an

entrepreneur and Mel Robbins who's really kick-ass speaker and the title of

the video says it all it's called Why Motivation is Garbage and literally just

helps you kickstart all your habits and understand what's going on in the back of your

brain. Should I be re-thinking how I motivate myself? Yessir!

My next one it's not a trailer, it's a behind the scenes reel, so as much

as trailers are cool and everything looks so polished, I enjoy seeing kind of how

they actually make the trailers and movies but the constructions yeah yeah so this is

for the Tomb Raider movie with Alicia Vikander, coming out next year and

the trailer came out as well as the behind the scenes for how they're doing

some of the stunts, how she's doing extreme training stuff so

like how they're building the entire movie in slowly, the snippet to see

before see movie you see how they're actually putting in a lot of hard work

to making this as awesome that's gonna be. Allows you to appreciate it more.

These people are doing a lot for our enjoyment. Yeah you know you know we are with

constant, Consumer is King. All right next up you know and it's a everybody who

knows and if you're you know in Toronto and then you definitely seen maybe,

the Invictus Games just started out the opening ceremony. Prince Harry is at York University right now.

I literally just dropped off some friends who are working at the at the track and I should

have actually like just take a shift today just the go likes it go man yeah

so check out this quick video. It goes into a little bit of the story of a you know

gives you a cool perspective. That's so cool, Alright so last week I was at my

parents house, we're watching TV and they went to sleep so I was just kind of hanging

out on the couch that's kind of browsing the channels it's like I dont get to do that anymore

because I don't have cable but I saw the ending of Fast Five so from the Fast &

Furiosu franchise, that kind of in there in Brazil they're just kind of

doing that last chase with the heist and the safe and everything yeah and I was

watching kinda like half asleep but I heard it's like subconsciously this

theme that dun dun dun dun dun dun dun and I was like wait I've never like it's so

recurring I didn't remember it but it's like subconscious in my head so I looked it

up and it's Brian Tyler the composer wrote this theme when he came on to the

new series and it's kind of stayed in it with 6, 7 & 8 so if you watch other

movies you'll see theme kind of reoccur cuz he's been the composer for all them

and he's kind of made this new it's kind of with the shift movies to like let me

heist stuff right themed also kind of makes that crossover really really cool so

it's a video about that and it's a live orchestrations with Brian Tyler

composing and he's actually conducting the orchestra. That sounds sick! Yeah I'm

gonna go check that out well I like that alright next up you know we we have some

interesting thing for all you know everybody's childhood times I know we all played

with Microsoft Paint oh and all those pixely photos and

never seem to line up there's actually so a really cool artist right now Pat

Hines who's doing some incredible work using Microsoft Paint so definitely

check out his stuff and it just shows you what kind of things you can do it

like I'm here making like smiley faces and he's making art. Like legit. Alright our last thing

for today is coming off about a thing but more about a person so if you don't

know Mel Brooks he's the the creator of things like Spaceballs, Robin Hood

Men in TIghts, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein. Mm-hmm. Really really funny

movies from like the 80s in the 90s but hash tag he's still alive like I really like him

Is he like 90 something? He's like 91 years old. I just assumed he was dead because I haven't

like heard of him but yeah I looked him up as I'm doing research okay he's on a

bunch of podcast doing like talk show them stuff and kind of make the circuits

um I'm hoping for Spaceballs 2: The search for more money that's what I

would really want to see from him because he's this comedy were like okay

they literally just like stopped from a movie and say like oh what are your next

and like will pull out a script or like reference putting a tape of the movie

that's happening right now and use really I have no idea how we does it so well.

It's like it's so meta, yeah there's like I think I think he has

Reebok Pumps in his Robin Hood movie like it's just like there's so many

different levels that I'm just like I don't understand it but I enjoy it so much.

So hashtag hashtag Mel Brooks is still alive. Love it yes well that brings us to

the end of today's show definitely check it out and let us know what you guys

think! yeah we're mentioning alot of stuff, so we want

you to check it out make sure if you like it like the video if you want to

comment like please let us know what you're enjoy or other stuff that we

matter than this that you think we should be checking out. So where can they

find you online? Yes so I'm on Snapchat still that's like my home base you know

yes sir so you can find me @yersonbaba and also Instagram @yerrogassama

and you can find me on Twitter @suneelmistry and Instagram @mistrysuneel

so that's it for today all right so Power Hour Out!!
