Livvit: The Ultimate Planner to Empower Yourself - Duration: 2:59.

I

I would watch these inspirational talks, and I would be so inspired by the talks have so much energy and passion

but then I would be stuck because I don't know what to do next

I need a plan. I need something help keep me grounded. Give me direction. I wanted to create something which inspired me

Helped made me want to get better. And help plan my time so that it would make me want to create the life I wanted to create

I think everyone should set goals even if they seem completely unreasonable

I think if you don't have goals, why get out of the bed in the morning?!

You have eight hours that you can do work, eight hours that you can sleep

And then the rest of time, the other eight hours, you can do whatever you want

I think people just need to see if their days a little bit more like that

How I achieve my goals over time a lot of planning, a lot of discipline. It just helps free up your day so much more

The reason why this planner is different to any other planner is because no other planner sets goals the way we do

Explore all your different ambitions, prioritizes them and puts them into a goals contract

No other planner does that. What's more is we give you way more tools of inspiration

interviews from people all over the world, weekly quotes, stories of celebrities and it breaks down how they're great

which is the really really important part

So you can learn from them as well. We give you six guides to help you figure out how to overcome obstacles: beat procrastination

starting something new, how to get up earlier, how to be more confident

how to have the right habits. The way we plan our weeks is totally different anything else out there

It's minimalistic and has the right habits to help you be the best you can be. We ask you to have a morning routine

set weekly goals, you get a chance to be mindful and reflect on what went well

and what you can do better. So many planners out there ask you to fill in essays and it felt as though

I was back at school. I needed something which had that same sense of reflection and helped me get better

but was shorter. And this is what the LIVVIT planner does so much better. We want you to be better

that's all we want you to do. So we're helping you give these tools.. So for me when I've set a goal and then I

see it come into motion

It is one of the best feelings in the world. But it also motivates me further.

Even though it's taken a long time and it's been a really difficult route, it causes momentum, it gives me urgency

I never sort of sacrifice anything not to reach that goal

It was always about reaching it, even if it felt too big

It gives me hope. Something to work towards. The planner is from thousands of people I've asked

hundreds of people around me who have inputted into the design of it

So what you'll get is not just one product

It's made by thousands

So it will be

something unique.. I think it'll make a difference. And I wanted to create something that will make an impact

And helps me and other people get from A to B

And helps them figure out what they want to do in life because that's so so important

You Know What Pisses Me Off? Low Producers - Duration: 0:51.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

You know what pisses me off?

Low producers that listen to low producers.

This is a mindset that I'll never understand.

Let's set the scene.

You have two nickels, the guy next to you has two nickels,

the guy across the street has seven nickels.

Suddenly the guy next to you starts

giving you tips and advice on how you could get more nickels.

Why the hell would you listen to him?

Even if he knew how to get more nickels,

don't you think you'd have any more?

Low producers, you know who you are.

Don't listen to the people on your level.

Cut this [BLEEP] and go ask the real producers to share

their knowledge with you.

They'll do it, I promise you.

Don't Sweat the Small Stuff - Happiness Habit #6 - Duration: 3:12.

Will any of this even matter a year from now?

Happy people ask themselves that question all the time.

That's how they gauge whether the current problem is

something they need to focus any energy on or something that they should just let go.

Because happy people are in the habit of not sweating the small stuff.

They've learned to look at a problem, look at an issue, something that comes up

and in a real quick decision, decide whether it's something they should even focus on.

Is it worth spending my energy on?

If you look around on any given day

people will find five, ten, fifty things to stress about that really don't matter.

They have no consequence on the rest of their life but they'll spend energy

focusing on them and stressing about them.

You know you only have so much energy and so much focus that you can give in a day.

So if you're spending a of time and energy focusing on these small trivial things,

you're neglecting thinking about and focusing on some important things,

some things that could lead to more positivity or success or happiness in your life.

You can get so bogged down in these little things, that you accomplish nothing of the good things.

And so what I want you to get into the habit of is gauging everything that comes your way.

Ask yourself this one question:

Does this matter?

Does it really matter?

Will I even remember this a year from now?

Will I remember it a week from now?

If the answer to that is no, then it's time to switch focus.

Just let it go.

These are the little things, these are the small stuff,

these are the things that we need to just let go.

Because there's so many things that are more important out there.

Nobody ever created happiness, achieved a goal, or created a lot of success by

focusing and worrying about a bunch of little small things, trivial matters.

The people that you see that are happy and feel content

have learned that they don't have time or energy to waste on these little things.

So it comes back to that question,

Does this matter?

As you get into the habit of asking yourself if it matters you'll also get in the habit of

focusing on the important things,

of dropping the non important things.

Don't sweat the small stuff it's such a true statement.

It's not worth your time.

It's not worth your energy

when there are so many great things out there that you can create for yourself and for those around you.

Thanks so much for visiting today.

I love that you come and watch these videos and I love the community that

we're building here.

Remember, if you ever have any questions, anything you're

dealing with anything or you need advice on

please put it in the comments below

You can also send me an email at krisheap@successify.net

Chances are if you're struggling with something, there are thousands of other people going

through the same thing and there's a chance that we can all help each other

together to have a happier life.

Thanks again.

WYP - S3:E2 - Mythbusters! - Duration: 8:35.

♫ What's your problem

♫ What's your problem

♫ I don't get what your problem is

- Hi, my name is Kaylynn. - And I'm Adam.

- Welcome to What's Your Problem?, where we discuss

current issues in distance learning and education.

We're switching things up a bit this episode,

and here's Jason to tell us more.

- What's Your Problem was actually originally envisioned

as a sort-of MythBusters ripoff, where we would review

a myth about distance learning and then bust it.

This idea kinda took a back seat as the show evolved,

but for this episode we decided to embrace our original

vision and lean way into it for our first thematic episode.

For this episode, we won't be providing three solutions

to a common problem, but instead we'll explore a few

of the myths circling around distance learning modalities,

and then attempt to bust them.

For this episode we're truth seekers, not unlike

the incomparable Christopher Reeve who, as Superman,

thwarted myth in his tireless pursuit for truth,

justice, and the American way.

Lastly, I should mention the things you're about to see

should be attempted at home, or anywhere else

that you teach your online classes.

So let's go to the lab.

- Okay Jason, so the first myth that we're gonna talk about

today is that the idea that faculty teaching distance

learning courses have to spend more time dealing

with technology issues than they do with teaching.

And according to an article called the Online Learning:

Myths, Reality, and Promise that was done as part

of a study recently, this was one of the original myths

of distance learning education but it's still

one of the most prominent fears of people today.

So there are technical issues, right, but those issues

also provide a lot of opportunities for engagement,

collaboration, access, opportunities

that we wouldn't have otherwise had.

So we're gonna do a little experiment here

to demonstrate why this myth is false.

Right, so let's pretend on our dry erase board here,

your priority number one is teaching, right,

so we'll draw a little T here in the center.

That's what we want to focus on.

But when you start teaching, especially an online class,

you have all these other issues crop up, like the LMS.

You have email, you have passwords,

you have publisher resources, you have videos,

you have emails with students, you have all these

other things, technical issues, that can distract you.

But, Jason, if you stare right at the center there,

at your objective, you're focusing on teaching.

- I see it. - Watch what happens

to the circles around the outside.

- They're moving. - And you can try this

again at home.

You'll notice the other marks seem to disappear.

This is a phenomenon known as the Troxler Effect.

When we focus on a single point,

peripheral objects begin to fade away.

They don't disappear, just like you'll never really stop

technical issues from happening in your class,

but if you rely on your support resources,

like Blackboard support, built-in tutorials,

and help resources, and focus on the teaching,

those technology issues will slowly fade away,

only popping up to cause minor distractions

every now and again.

So the Troxler Effect demonstrates something very similar

to what we deal with in online courses.

We're never gonna get rid of those peripheral issues, right?

So as long as we stay focused on our main goal,

which is teaching, all of the other issues in our peripheral

will fade into the background.

- Yeah.

- Our second myth today is that students can't be

as successful online as they are face-to-face.

Many studies over the years have failed to support

the negative perspective that a lot of faculty have

toward online education.

Numerous recent studies which explored effectiveness,

retention, and achievement in both online and face-to-face

modalities all concluded that virtual instruction

can be as good or better than on-campus teaching.

So there are three things we need

to make a successful course.

One is an effective instructor, another is active

presentation of content, and the third is engaged students.

So we have two pans here.

The rectangle one represents face-to-face

and the circle one represents online.

Now they're the same course,

it's just how they're presented is different.

The milk is the course,

which is the foundation of content

whether the course is online or on campus.

The foundation can be flexible

depending on which modality is being taught.

The color is the students.

All students are usually present in both modalities

at the same rate at the beginning of the course.

The soap is the instructor,

course content, and tools utilized.

These have the ability to mix well with students

and create a community of collaboration and interest.

See how the same interactions occur

when using the same soap online and face-to-face?

And how different interactions occur when I change the soap?

Basically you need three things

for an online course to be successful.

An instructor presence, active presentation of content,

and engaged students.

If any of those three items are missing,

the course is not going to be well-received

from either the teaching or learning end.

However, if all those things are present,

the active presentation of content,

the instructor with social presence,

and the engaged student, all the items will blend well

with each other for a successful course.

- So in order for students to be successful,

all three items need to be present

whether the course is online or face-to-face.

- Okay, so our third myth is that online courses

are less collaborative.

This is a pretty prevalent myth in online education.

A lot of faculty and students think that

if you're not in physical proximity to one another

that you really can't get that sort of personal interaction

that you want, and you need, actually, out of a class.

And to an extent that's true, because a course by itself

can't really be collaborative.

A course is just like this bottle here where we have

some oil and some water, they're both in there,

but they're not really doing anything.

That's just like our course content, right?

We have videos, we have articles, we have the textbook,

we have some assignments, but they're just things.

They just sit there, they're static.

And so we think sometimes that when we add students

to the classroom, right, that maybe that

will make things work, but as you can see,

even adding students to the mix here

doesn't really make any of the course content do anything.

In fact, a lot of the students sadly

just kind of sink to the bottom there.

So if we really want these things to start working together

what we need is you, the faculty member.

Because by adding some

timely weekly announcements,

maybe a little bit of encouraging feedback, maybe an email

to students who are falling behind, or some thoughtful

feedback on an assignment, or any of those

little interactions that you can do even electronically,

you'll start to see that those little things

start to make all these pieces interact together.

You'll see that they start to bubble around and bump into

each other and actually create something pretty cool.

You'll also notice that once you do just a few

of those things it's going on its own now, right?

It's keeping itself going.

And so if you ever do happen to notice

that it starts to die down a little bit,

a couple other timely pieces of feedback or interactions

with students and the whole thing kicks up again.

So as you can see, any course,

whether it's face-to-face or online,

isn't engaging or interactive on its own,

it's really just a collection of resources.

What it takes to make a course interactive and engaging

for students is an engaged instructor.

- So as a quick recap, we busted the myth that faculty

work harder than students in online classes.

Actually the focus remains the same between modalities.

Focus on the teaching and the peripheral

technical distractions associated with online teaching

actually don't factor in much.

We busted the myth that students are less successful online.

It turns out, as long as there is an effective instructor,

active presentation of content, and engaged students,

a course can be successful regardless of how it's offered.

Lastly, we busted the myth

that online courses are less collaborative.

With the right mix of instructor interaction

and encouragement, the collaborative nature

of an online course can thrive.

(News)Why Emma Stone movie will have you shaking your head - Duration: 6:43.

The battle is on.

Why Emma Stone movie will have you shaking your head

An exhibition game between then-29-year-old King (played by Emma Stone) and former champion 55-year-old Riggs (Steve Carell), it was watched by some 90 million Americans on TV while 30,000 people packed into the Huston Astrodome.

It wasn't just a game of tennis. Oh no, it was about so much more than that.

At stake was the credibility of women's tennis and, by extension, all of women's liberation. It was termed "Battle of the Sexes" — a provocative title then, and provocative still in 2017.

King has been credited as a pioneer of promoting women's tennis, opening the front in a war the Williams sisters are still fighting today.

King is a big reason why tennis is the leading sport in which female athletes are just as popular and respected as their male counterparts. King has spent her entire adult life fighting for gender equality, and later for LGBTIQ rights.

The film tracks King and Gladys Heldman (Sarah Silverman) establishing the Women's Tennis Association after female players were being offered an eighth of the prize money of the men by the patriarchal establishment, here symbolised within Jack Kramer (Bill Pullman).

Sisters are doing it for themselves. Picture: Melinda Sue Gordon/Fox Searchlight Pictures via APSource:AP. A chronic gambler and a self-proclaimed "chauvinist pig", Riggs was a showman forever pulling stunts to stay relevant and in the game.

Though there's something to be said for his fight for better prize money and pay for the seniors' circuit. The other story here is King's blossoming relationship with Marilyn (Andrea Riseborough), a woman she meets at the beginning of the movie.

The love story is the B plot of Battle of the Sexes and it has an almost seductive quality to it, at first.

But it kind of stays at the surface level and it certainly doesn't hint at the acrimonious public spectacle the lovers will face a few years down the track.

Much of the personal conflict is seeded in the looming presence of King rival Margaret Court (Jessica McNamee), who's always in the corner of the frame, looking on and judging.

Court is an easy target to represent the anti-LGBTIQ sentiment of the era but it also oversimplifies a complex situation. The story strands concerning King's sexuality remain unsatisfactory, incomplete, but it does tap into the main problem with Battle of the Sexes.

It's a film that needs to wrap together several concerns into its overarching feminist manifesto and it just didn't have the time to deal with everything properly. Consequently, it feels like some steps were skipped over.

Riggs' characterisation, especially the relationship with his son, is another aspect that feels underserviced.

There are mutton chops and then there are mutton chops. (Melinda Sue Gordon/Fox Searchlight Pictures via AP)Source:AP.

Battle of the Sexes is a reunion for Stone and Carell who'd previously played father and daughter in Crazy, Stupid Love and they've both imbued a lot of vulnerability into real-life characters known for their strength or bravado.

It's also a reunion between Carell and directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, the husband-and-wife team behind Little Miss Sunshine and the Zoe Kazan-penned Ruby Sparks.

While Battle of the Sexes doesn't have the surprising humanity of Little Miss Sunshine nor the quirky, singular spirit of Ruby Sparks, it is still an enjoyable biopic with a strong voice.

What we'll remember the movie for is how much the struggles of 1973 still resonate today.

The thing about consuming screen culture in the first year of the bombastic Trump presidency is you can't help but see the parallels on TV and in movies — the different ways King and Riggs approached their training had a definite Clinton/Trump ring to it.

It's a lot of meaty stuff for artists and creatives to mine. Of course, Battle of the Sexes was written and filmed before that fateful November day.

Which means the parallels evident is more of an indictment on the social paradigm that elected him, more than on the man himself.

It would've been nice if we could've watched Battle of the Sexes and laughed at the boys' club talking about how women are just biologically inferior and unable to handle the pressure.

How quaint, we could've said, throwing our heads back in mirth. You're more likely to shake your head in despair.

Because the reality of today, more than 40 years later, is that those views are still being aired by some, Google douchebags among them, as "fact" to excuse why women are still being paid less.

What a chilling reminder that we haven't come as far we thought. Battle of the Sexes is in cinemas from Thursday, September 28. Follow @wenleima on Twitter for geek-outs about movies and TV.

[HEALTH]6 Ways Kissing Boosts Your Health - Duration: 2:34.

6 Ways Kissing Boosts Your Health

Locking lips for 30 minutes may reduce allergy symptoms. Kissing lowers levels of cortisol, a chemical associated with stress.

Smooching can help you pick the right mate. Is there anything sweeter than a smooch with your significant other? For centuries, couples have been locking lips to express their love.

But kissing can do more than boost your bond and spark a physical connection: It can also lead to some major health benefits. Read on to learn how puckering up can help reduce stress, ease aches and pains, and more.

Kissing May Reduce Allergy Symptoms. Want to nix the itchy eyes and runny nose this allergy season? You may want to ditch your over-the-counter fix and go in for a kiss instead.

A study published in 2006 in the Journal of Psychosomatic Research showed that locking lips with your partner for 30 minutes can reduce allergy symptoms in people with atopic eczema and mild seasonal allergies. More Cuddling Can Ease Aches and Pains.

A little PDA might speed up recovery time for that backache. Research published in 2015 in Current Pharmaceutical Design shows that oxytocin (the cuddle hormone), which is released when you kiss and hug your partner, can ease chronic pain.

Researchers note that oxytocin has analgesic (painkilling) properties, as well as the ability to decrease anxiety and depression, which is often experienced by chronic pain sufferers. Kissing Helps Lower Stress.

There's a reason snuggling up to your partner after a bad day feels so good: Smooching has been shown to lower levels of cortisol, a chemical associated with stress. Smooching May Help Keep Your Mouth Clean.

It's not a replacement for a good brushing, but according to some experts, locking lips may help prevent tooth decay.

Kissing stimulates saliva production, which washes harmful bacteria off your teeth, lowering the risk of plaque buildup, explains Joshua Perlman, DMD, a dentist in New York City. And less plaque buildup may mean fewer cavities.

Locking Lips Can Help You Pick the Right Partner.

Research published in 2007 in Evolutionary Psychology shows that kissing may help you assess a mate. When you kiss, you exchange information related to your major histocompatibility complex (MHC), which is a collection of genes associated with your immune system.

The goal is to find a mate who has a different immune system from yours (to enhance your offspring's chance of survival), and kissing can be a good indicator of whether or not your bloodline is too similar.

Kissing, Hugging, or Simply Touching Can Reignite a Stalled Sex Life.

If sex has taken a backseat to babies or household chores, any sort of physical connection — from kissing to holding hands — can work wonders to heat things up with your partner again, says Ellen Barnard, a sex educator and counselor in Madison, Wisconsin.

WHY THIS MORRIS MINOR IS THE BEST CAR FOR LONDON - Duration: 9:02.

Welcome to the Silent D Motor Show.

I'm your host Silent D. In this episode we're

going to take a drive around London in this very unique Morris Minor.

But first

let's go and meet the builder and owner Matt at his garage and he will explain exactly

why it's so unique and why this is quite possibly the best, and certainly most

affordable car, you can drive in London right now.

Hey Matt, thanks for letting us

check out your Morris Minor.

Hey Erlend, how you doing?

Good, how are you?

Very well thanks.

Would you like a cup of tea?

Yes, please.

Brilliant.

Here you go! Thank you!

So it's a 1953 Series II Morris Minor.

That we have taken..., it's completely original,

so we've taken out the 1098 motor that was originally in it, and

we've replaced that with an electric motor and batteries.

And who's... who are we?

That's your company, right?

So it's London Electric Cars, something I started in December last year and

I'm trying to figure out ways of getting people driving electric cars in a more

affordable way.

Can we have a look? Yes, absolutely!

We have nine prismatic

Thunder Sky cells at the front, we've got another 16 in the boot where the fuel

tank used to be.

The motor is under the front battery pack.

You can just see it

through the grill and it's bolted directly to the original gearbox, so we

kept the gearbox, four-speed gearbox.

So you can use the gears if you want to.

But in reality, I tend to, you start in second, drive around like an automatic

and then occasionally put it into fourth, and skip third gear, and the fourth is a

straight-through drive gear, so it becomes completely silent.

Can we take it for a ride?

Absolutely!

Let's go for spin.

So we're in second gear right now, as a start, I didn't use a clutch, you'll see I'm

just on the gas basically.

And then...

And when we get going I'll stick it in forth.

And it just becomes completely quiet.

And here watch, if we stick to forth,

so clutch in, into fourth.

Now we're in fourth, can you hear that's a

street through drive.

Noise completely disappears.

So the Morris Minor is

basically the Volkswagen Beetle of England, right? Yes, it's the British Beetle.

Exactly.

They made over a million of them.

They made them for 20 years basically, maybe 25 years.

Every British family has like a story of,

you know, the Minor in the family.

And they made.. like I've seen the Pickup, Van...

Yeah!

Yeah! The Traveler,

the Convertible, and then also quite often they'll take the

Saloon, the two-door Saloon like this and turn it into Convertible.

Yeah, they made

tons of variants.

The Vans are very sought-after.

And it's one of those cars, that you know, you find them everywhere, and that's part

of the, the sort of argument of getting people to drive old electric, so old cars

convert to electric, is just that they're cheap.

Getting spare parts for it is really easy.

Every junkyard seems to have a few in them.

And they're just so easy to maintain.

The average journey in London is 4 to

5 miles.

This has a range of 45 miles.

Which is...

I've done that.., you know, some

people might say oh that's a bit short, but it's been done because that's...

it's much cheaper.

The most expensive parts of the car is the battery pack.

And

in this case it's got a 13 kilowatt battery pack.

If you compare that to say

a Tesla where I think the base model is now 75, used to be 65, and they got rid of

that, and now I think it's 75.

So they're 75 kilowatts to 100 kilowatts, this is 13.

Imagine the difference in cost.

But if the average journey in London is 4 to 5 miles,

and this can do 45 miles on a charge...

I charge it once a week.

I charge it

at home, and yeah just sort of when I feel like it really.

And you told me earlier that

it's about 1 pound per charge.

Yes.

So you spend fifty quid a year.

Yeah, well, and

then and then as you're saying you don't condone it but there's an awful lot of

unclaimed 13 amp sockets lying around London, and people are very generous, you

know, if you rock up in your electric car and you say - do you mind if I plug in for

a few hours?

They say - yeah, go for it!

You know, they want to talk to you about it.

So, to be honest I rarely pay to charge it.

We're in the Congestion Zone right now, which means...

that to enter it you have to pay 12,50 pounds these days.

Per day?

Per day, yep.

But with this being an electric car,

it's free.

Road tax, this is free.

It's also free because it's an old car, if

your car is over 40 years old you don't pay road tax.

And what about insurance?

So insurance...

It's classic car insurance, but you then call them up and say it's been

converted and they'll generally then use that as an excuse to charge you a bit more,

but not a lot.

You also become really aware when you're in a car like this how gross

all the other cars are.

You know, it's just that they're just sitting here,

particularly these taxis.

Just [engine noise].

I smile at other electric car drivers because we're

the sort of fellow non-polluters, but obviously they can't tell that I'm in

an electric car, so they just think I'm crazy!

So there's like nothing on this

car other than the lack of the noise of the combustion engine that would give it away?

Well the lack of exhaust pipe.

Oh yeah there's that.

And then the fact I've got a big sign in the back

window, but you only see that if you're behind me, so...

So people are being like

really nice to you when you drive around in this, right?

Oh totally!

You can get away with anything?

Yeah, so for example we're about to make a right-hand turn here I'm not allowed to

make a right-hand turn, but I don't think anyone's gonna complain.

No, no, hold on, I can't do this,

there's a police car here.

They're gonna give me shit.

So what would you say are

good cars is to do this kind of conversions?

Well, so, I would say.. all the Morrises are great, lots of people have

done Beetles.

Those are the sort of main ones you get coming out of California.

But yeah anything really.

I mean as long as there's plenty of space, which most

of these cars do have these days, they have tons, you know, compared to

modern cars, there's so much space in them, because it's just not all the...

What about a Volvo 240?

Ah, hell yeah!

I think that'd be awesome to do!

Thank you!

So Matt, are you gonna let me try driving this car?

I don't know Erlend.

Huh, yeah go then.

Hehe ok.

So what do I gotta do?

Just try..

If you put your foot on the gas you'll hear the

motor to spin a little bit. Gently.

Can you hear that?

Yeah.

Okay, so then you just put it into second gear.

You don't need to put the clutch down.

Oh. Straight into second gear.

There you go.

And then you just go!

This is easy enough.

Yeah.

Did you feel the engine braking there?

Yeah.

That's the re-gen braking.

Can also feel how right when you put your foot down there's a slight pause,

because I turn down like the initial hit from the torque just to save the old

drivetrain, it just slightly feeds in.

I feel like it's really responsive though.

Oh yeah yeah yeah, I mean,

if you jam it, it'll go!

Wow.

This is fun, this is awesome.

I love this!

Thank you so much for letting me shoot this episode, for letting me try your car.

My pleasure.

Absolutely.

It's been a lot of fun.

Yeah. I think so too.

And also thank you so

much to you for watching.

You missed Big Ben bonging for the last time

for like 4 years.

Everyone got terribly emotional about it for no particular reason.

What's that about?

Big Ben. They're repairing it. You can see how they're covering it all up.

So it stopped bonging. It stopped its ringing.

And they all got really, all the traditionalists got really upset about it.

Why are you doing videos? - PixelTV Ep. 55 - Duration: 2:27.

Hey there, PixelTV fans and people who create online videos!

This episode is all about how to create a strategy for your online videos.

Want to see more videos like this?

Be sure to like or subscribe!

Have you ever thought to yourself, self, why am I creating online videos?

No, seriously!

Why is it important to your organization?

What business goals will your videos help you accomplish?

It's easy to get caught up in the wave of what's trending when it comes to your online

marketing.

And while it is very important to be following best practices, there are some platforms or

types of content that just might not make sense for your organization.

But let's say that video does make sense for you.

Hooray!

You'll still need to have a strategy in order to make goals and have some kind of consistency

in your videos.

If you don't already know exactly why you're doing videos, here's one way you can create

a stellar video strategy for your organization.

There are three big parts to creating your strategy.

1. Define your values

What's important to your business as a whole?

Not just to your videos or online marketing, but your whole organization.

Is it helping people, being seen as an industry expert, or something else?

Keep those in mind.

You should probably even write them down!

2. Identify your goals

Once you've written down your core values, give some thought to how your videos will

help you pursue or promote those values.

You're thinking big picture here.

These are big picture goals to drive all the videos you ever create.

3. Figure out clear next steps

Now we get specific.

What concrete things are you going to do to make sure your videos are supporting your

organization's values and helping you accomplish those goals you just set?

Here's where you'll set SMART goals, if that's something you're into.

We kind of like them!

Once you've identified your values, goals, and clear next steps, you'll want to make

sure that everyone who's involved with your video creation and production is aware of

what those are.

That will help you maintain consistency with your videos, and will also make sure your

videos are actually contributing to your larger business goals.

If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to like or subscribe!

Next time, we'll talk about how to personalize an email campaign in MailChimp using merge

tags.

[HEALTH]Multiple Sclerosis: Why You Feel the Way You Do - Duration: 1:31.

Multiple Sclerosis: Why You Feel the Way You Do

MS can affect a number of functions, from movement to sensations to thought and speech. Which symptoms you experience — and whether they progress or go into remission — is unique to you.

Understanding your MS requires a closer look at two important body systems:. This is the body's control system. Comprised of the brain and spinal cord, it sends and receives messages from the rest of the body through a network of neurons.

Those neurons have a protective myelin sheath that helps with quick, efficient conductivity of signals.

The immune system attacks foreign invaders to keep you healthy. But with MS, immune cells mistakenly invade the brain and spinal cord, damaging myelin and, to some degree, myelin-producing cells (oligodendrocytes) and the neuron itself.

As the body tries to contain this damage from spreading, scar tissue — called a lesion, or plaque — forms. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU.

Without myelin, nerve signals can become slow, weak, and disorganized. Your symptoms will reflect the nerves affected and what functions those nerves control.

When a flare subsides, you may regain some or all previous function, called remission. This is likely due to remaining oligodendrocytes repairing myelin as well as healthy neurons making new connections.

One theory for progressive MS is that not enough new connections can be made to compensate for the losses.

How to make a cute balloon text effect in Illustrator - Duration: 10:35.

Hello and welcome to another Illustrator tutorial from Elan Creative Co. I'm

Cristina, and in this tutorial I will show you how to make cute balloon letters.

As you can see from this image, these letters have a hand-drawn feel and are

perfect for graphics made for children. So open a new document and let's get to

work! You can draw the letters if you want, but for this tutorial I'm going to

use a typeface. So select the Type tool and enter the text you want. I'm going to

use the Montserrat font for this tutorial. And let's make it a little bit

bigger. You can find the download link in the video description. So now we are

going to change the text into shapes. Click on the Selection tool and then go

to Type > Create Outlines. Now we have a shape. Right-click on it and

Ungroup it. I wanted to show you how to make balloon letters because I will use

a few tools that I rarely use and one of them is the Warp tool. You can find it

here under the Width tool and the shortcut is Shift + R. So click on it to

select it and then double-click on it to change the options. I usually use a brush

that's about 30 points but you can change the size while you use it too by

holding down the Alt key. The most important thing is the Detail. I usually

use a small detail that's 2 or 3 because I want to have round and smooth letters.

You can set Simplify to 50. Feel free to experiment with the values and press

OK to save them. Switch to the Selection tool, and select the first letter, then

switch to the Warp tool. This is a very fun tool to use but if you haven't used

it before you might need a little practice. The most important thing to

remember is that we are looking for a hand-drawn feel so it's not important

if your letters have small imperfections. I'm going to zoom in and start with a

corner. Just click on it and drag it a little bit to the outside. Then just

click and drag, and just trace the outline of your letters. So it's

important to have round corners and just make the balloon letter a little bit

bigger than the typeface. It's not important if you don't have a perfect

letter because you can just go back and fix it. So if you drag it too much, you

can just drag from the outside and it will look alright.

So this is sort of what I'm looking for. But as I said, it's not important if you

still have areas that don't look that great because we are going to clean it

up later. So just select the next letter and then use the Warp tool to distort it.

As you can see, the letters are far from perfect, but they do have that hand-drawn

feel to them. So select all the letters and then go to Object > Path > Simplify. I

want to make them rounder and smoother, so we are going to use the

simplify option. Make sure Preview is checked to see the changes. It's very

important to have a high Curve Precision. I usually use somewhere around 90%. If

you move it all the way up to 100% you will have many anchor points. Sometimes

even more than the original and we do not want that. You can play with the

Angle Threshold. Sometimes it works better with a small angle threshold, other

times with a larger one. You can also compare it to the original version by

checking the Show Original option. You can see where it's with red, that's

the original version and the blue outline is the current version. So press

OK when you are happy with it. The Simplify option does a really great

job, but if you zoom in and look at each letter, you might see areas that are not

that great. As you can see, we have here an anchor point. It doesn't look great so

I'm going to use the convert Anchor Point tool that's under the Pen tool to

make it just a bit rounder. So you just have to click on the anchor and then

move the mouse. You can also move the handles to change the angle.

If you see these areas, you can use another tool that's called the Smooth

tool. It's under the Sharpen tool. Just make sure that your shape is selected

and just draw over it with the Smooth tool. As you can see this already looks

better. Now I prefer to use the convert Anchor Point tool and the delete Anchor

Point tool so I usually delete angles that don't look that nice and then use the

convert Anchor Point tool to change them. I think it's called Convert Anchor

Point in Photoshop or it used to be called like that. You can see it's only

the Anchor Point tool now. The rest of the image is great. Now the next step is

to color it. Select each letter and choose a color for it.

I have my blog's color palettes loaded in the swatches panel and I'm going to

choose different colors for the letters because they will have a more playful

look. Now I'm going to rearrange them a bit just so that there's more space

between them and then select all of them and group them. You can press Ctrl G or

Command G or right click on them and choose Group from the options. All we

have left to do is to add shadows and highlights. So make sure the letters are

selected and copy them by pressing Ctrl + C or go to Edit > Copy and then paste them

in the back. The shortcut is Ctrl + B or you can go to Edit > Paste in back. Make

sure that the letters that are in the back are selected. You can go to the

layers panel and if you see a colored rectangle next to the group, that

group is the one that's selected. So just click on it and drag it a little bit

down and to the right. Then let's change the opacity. Before I do

that, I am going to Ungroup the layer that's in the back. Then I will go to

Window > Transparency and enter a lower opacity. I usually use

70% or 80%. I think 70% looks great. The reason why I

ungroup the layer before I changed the opacity is because if you change the opacity of

the group when you ungroup it, the letters will go back to 100% opacity. Now

I am going to also ungroup the letters on the top and then just group each

letter. But before that, I think I'm going to move them a little bit up. I think I

like this better so let's group each letter. Next we are going to add

highlights. You can easily add highlights with the Pen tool. so let's change the

stroke to white, make it just a little bit bigger, and use a rounded cap and

then select the Pen tool. You can just create two anchor points and then make

them a little bit rounder. Now because I'm going for a more hand-drawn look, I

will delete it and use the Brush tool. The shortcut for the Brush tool is

B. You can change the size from the brushes. I usually use a 2pt brush and

just draw. I am going to draw using a drawing tablet, but you can also draw

using a mouse. And just add highlights.

You can also use the Selection tool to move the highlights a bit if you don't like

the way they look. Now let's select all of them. So select one of the highlights,

and then go to Select > Same and use the Stroke Color option. And we are going to

go back to the Transparency panel and just lower the Opacity for a bit. 80%

maybe 90. This looks great. Now just group each letter and

make sure all the highlights are selected.

These are our balloon letters. You can use this technique to illustrate the

whole alphabet or just to draw balloon or bubble letters every time you need

them. I hope you've enjoyed this tutorial and if you want to see more tutorials
