Senior Citizen Gets A Job At Walmart – Two Hours Later He'S Fired For A Very Unusual

Reason

This story is about a senior citizen who had a very short-lived career at Walmart.

Only two hours into his first shift, the old man got fired.

The reason?

Well, let's just say it might make you laugh.

A lot of people think his boss did the right thing, but others think he should have supported

his employee.

I'm sure you'll have an opinion too, but let's start at the beginning.

The elderly gentleman in this story had recently retired from the military, but he was having

a difficult time adjusting to sitting alone in his house all the time and he really liked

having contact with people, so he decided to get a part-time job.

In the end, the man landed a job as a greeter at the giant American discount chain Walmart.

But he didn't last long.

Here's the hilarious way he lost his job (in his own words):

"So after landing my new job as a Walmart greeter, a good find for many retirees, I

lasted less than a day…

About two hours into my first day on the job, a very loud, mean-looking woman walked into

the store with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.

I said pleasantly, 'Good morning and welcome to Walmart.

Nice children you have there.

Are they twins?'

Of course, her children were years apart, and while they shared common features, they

certainly didn't look like each other.

The woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Hell no, they ain't twins.

The oldest one's nine, and the other one's seven.

Why the hell would you think they're twins?

Are you blind or stupid?'

So I replied, 'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am.

I just can't believe someone slept with you twice.

Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Walmart.'

My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work."

Hillsborough County Sheriff office's police in Florida are looking for 15-years-old Elizabeth

Brown who went missing from Ruskin.

Deputies of the department say that the girl left a detected residence on 1st Avenue NW

but didn't return back.

Sheriff's office believes that the girl is still in the Ruskin area and wants people

to share her picture to find her.

Brown is a white female having blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair.

She weighs 115 pounds approximately and her height is 5'02".

The office requests anyone who has any information regarding her whereabouts to call immediately

the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 247-8200.

The family is not doing well with her absence and highly concerned for her well-being.

So, I've chosen these 3 photos

because 'the magic' really happened there.

and we depend on that.

There is a certain pressure when we work

everything needs to go perfectly and we do need ' the magic',

and sometimes we don't get it.

Some photo shoots can become quite complicated

because something just doesn't work,

hair, make-up, style...

But these 3 sessions were just perfect!

I think that when you really involve people and

know them well, there's energy, it flows.

Creativity, ideas, it all clicks

and everything goes faster.

That's why we often work with

the same photographers, same stylists.

The desire to work together has to be there.

It should all seem easy, you see.

like Federer when he plays tennis, it looks easy,

but there's so much work behind the scenes.

So, this is Ivan Rafik, a photographer I've been working with for 4 years.

And here, something different but everything he does is beautiful.

The lights, the girls, so beautiful !

Just flawless.

and these are from the first story I did with him for Vogue Russia,

with Anna Schiffel and Kathy Lesant the make-up artist was there too.

I don't like photos that are too processed, too artificial.

That's the spirit, it looks very natural but in fact it's all carefully thought through.

It's always the same thing, a continuity , he has a real universe.

So, how do I work with him? I listen.

He has codes, hair codes, make up codes.

It can get much more difficult when we're working outdoors, though

I love daylight, it always looks more real to me, and it's also more poetic

there are clouds, there's movement.

Here, it's Kate Barry.

She's a photographer I worked with for 18 years.

Sadly she's no longer with us.

And we did Vanessa Paradis.

It was in an artist's studio and sold pretty well, to many magazines.

All in daylight, here again.

She was like a dancer. Her hair was up into a small bun.

Kate had a very different view on photography

she was more into people, than light or image.

It was not really about fashion here.

English Ninjas - Past Continuous Tense - Duration: 3:08.

Hi, from English Ninjas. This is Margaret.

We've been discussing our verb chart,

more specifically the 12 tenses in the English language.

We've already gone through the simple tenses and we are now doing the continuous...

Today we will talk about past continuous let's start with the structure...

First, we use the subject.

You all know what this is by now: I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they.

Next, you will add the form of "to be" in past so you have two options "was" or "were"

I was... You were...

he/she/it was... we were... you were... they were...

Always next you will be adding the verb

also in -ing just like for present continuous it has the same the same principle add an "ING" to the end of the verb.

For example I was walking... He was eating... Next...

You can tell a lot more of a story think of how many things you know

happened in the past. So the object to the end needs to tell me more about what

was happening. So you could say: "Why didn't you talk to your sister yesterday?"

I could say: "She was sleeping when I called." that "when I called" is the rest of

the story giving you an idea. I could also say: "She was sleeping" but...

it's not as complex as it could be. Think of people who are monosyllabic. I work

with a lot of those people who you ask a question and they say "yes" "no" that's very

good it's great that you can understand but if you're learning you always want

to be accessing the language and using it as much as possible so I really

encourage you to find object to use. so if I say if I ask you a

question "Tell me more of a story, what were you doing when the hurricane hit?"

You can say: "I was eating at a restaurant with my family." or...

"What were you saying yesterday?" "I was saying or I was telling you that you needed to see the doctor, because you feel sick."

So... as always keep the subject + verb "was" or "were" which is

the past tense of to be add your verb with the "-ing" and then the rest of your

object as always let us know if you have questions we're always here for you to

Damansara Uptown, Part 2, September 2017 - Duration: 21:09.

This is Part 2 of the Video Tour of Damansara Uptown.

I am starting from the Chirp Park in front of Starling Park.

There is a cafe here where the guest can have their coffee or tea beside the greenery.

This is the underground entrance to the Starling mall.
