Waching daily Nov 30 2017

Hey guys! It's Hannah.

Advocacy and bipolar disorder.

So getting involved in the mental health community is something I have talked about before.

But advocacy, in particular, is a little bit different and we can do this in our daily lives.

I think a lot of people think that they have to come out with a blog

or they have to be very public about supporting mental health

and having a mental health condition, like bipolar disorder, in order to be an advocate.

But that's not the case at all.

And my biggest suggestion is to get involved in your local NAMI,

the National Alliance of Mental Illness.

This is where I started. Going to events and volunteering.

I mean I walked into the NAMI office four years ago

and I didn't even tell them I had a mental health condition.

I just started filing cabinets and talking to them

and, eventually, revealed that I have bipolar disorder.

And they directed me to sources; volunteering, coming to events, conferences.

Social media, of course, I always talk about that as I am a millennial.

But re-tweeting somebody's article about supporting mental health.

Re-tweeting someone who has come out about bipolar disorder.

Mental health resources in society.

Facebook. Instagram.

Those kinds of things do so much in your daily life.

You could be an advocate.

You know, someone gives you false statistics,

says something untruthful about mental health,

you speak up and you say something.

You don't necessarily have to come out and say:

"Hello! You know. I have bipolar. I have depression."

That is very difficult for a lot of people.

And it was very difficult for me.

But this is the path that was chosen for me.

I'm so happy to be here.

Please comment below with any other resources of ways to get involved.

How you are an advocate.

Maybe an experience that you've had lately

that you felt like you stuck up for mental health.

And I can't wait to read those.

I will see you next week. Bye.

Are You Weird?? - Reactions After Trauma - Duration: 3:04.

Hey guys, its Jo!

Today we're going to talk about, "are you weird!?"

The quick answer to that question is, no, you are absolutely not weird.

But it is a question I hear all the time.

Whether in support forums or face to face or wherever I am, there seems to be a real

concern with feeling like you're different for feeling a certain way or for responding

a certain way.

I definitely know I felt that way.

I felt like I was the only person feeling certain ways, or like I was a complete and

total freak for thinking certain things, like, like how could I be this person, or how could

I be thinking these things.

I hear questions all the time like, am I weird because I'm so angry I want to kill my abuser?

Am I weird because I'm not angry?

Is it weird that I'm sleeping sixteen hours a day?

Is it weird that I'm crying all the time?

Is it weird that I'm not sleeping at all?

Is it weird that I don't want to leave the house and I haven't left the house for three

days?

Is it weird that I don't ever want to sleep with another person in my entire life?

Is it weird that I sympathize with my abuser?

Is it weird that I'm bringing home everyone at the club and sleeping with them?

Is it weird that I don't want to forgive her?

Is it weird that I want to forgive him?

Is it weird that I'm feeling everything?

Is it weird that I feel nothing?

People have really, really varied reaction to trauma, as varied as human beings are themselves.

We are made up of all different kinds of experiences and all of those things play into how we respond

to trauma.

When trauma happens, you are trying to deal with an abnormal experience.

Its normal that you would have abnormal responses to that.

Especially with who you were before.

You may not respond to things the same way that you did before, and that is to be expected.

Please don't feel like a weirdo because you really aren't.

Its really normal to have odd reactions.

Its really normal to have a hard time with things that used to be easy before.

Its really normal to feel like a different person because everything has changed.

And that's okay.

I'm not saying that's easy because it is hardest thing in the world but I just want to reassure

you that you are not alone in that, you aren't weird for that, you aren't a strange person

for that.

That's a really normal reaction to have, and its a really normal thing to be feeling.

Now, I'm not saying that all of those things are great.

You know, its not great to completely isolate.

Its not great to bring home everyone you see and sleep with them.

Its not great to sleep all the time.

Its not great to start smoking all the time like I did.

Its not great to whatever, but these are coping mechanisms that we develop to survive in the

moment.

Its important that some of the more destructive ones we do deal with those.

And we do deal with the trauma that is driving us to do those things.

But it is really important to realize that you are not weird for whatever it is that

you are feeling now.

Because you are trying to deal with an abnormal situation.

And you're going to feel abnormal trying to deal with that.

You really, truly are not alone.

There is a huge community of people who feel, in many ways, the same way that you have felt.

You are by no means the only person feeling this way.

I know that that does not fix anything, but I just want you to know that you are not the

only person.

You are not isolated, you are not alone, and you are not weird.

I'm Jo Beckwith, I would really love to hear your comments, your questions, and your stories.

Did you meet my parents? - Vlog #36 - Duration: 7:09.

Hello, good morning, welcome. This time time from Żywiec.

I came to Żywiec with Agnieszka, who is here on business matters.

She's doing her business, and I found out

that it will be good moment for shoot a vlog in a new surroundings.

In one of the vlogs I wanted to tell you something

that is not up to date.

It seemed to me that I still have time to say it.

It's about views.

And it was more or less like that.

A few months ago, before the holiday season.

I looked, I estimated.

And I thought it would be cool to reach 5000 views on the channel until the end of January 2018.

This would mean that during the year my channel reached 5000 views.

About two weeks ago, I noticed that there are 4800 views, so we're getting closer to that level.

And that we will achieve these 5000 views earlier, even before the end of the year.

I thought that I would tell you about it in the vlog that it was my goal.

In the last vlog there was a lot of prattle

so I omitted this, I found that I still have time.

And to my surprise, YouTube probably updated all the statistics.

Because suddenly, just like that 4,800 changed to 5200.

So

task completed

in about 10 months

If we consider this as a task.

Thank you. That's your merit. That you watched and that these views reached this level.

My ass is frozen.

The last prattle I will compensate myself today

being more behind the camera than in front of the camera.

Okay. I'm talking, shooting here and it's already past 12 AM.

I don't mind a hot coffee and some snack.

There was a good-looking bistro on the market.

So I will go there.

Exactly here.

If you were in Żywiec and were looking for a place to eat than

I can recommend you "Rynek 19" bistro.

Good food.

I recommend.

Now I'm going to meet Agnieszka, because this time is coming. And we'll see what happens next.

There is Agnieszka.

Good afternoon.

Agnieszka was sometimes in the vlogs, but she wasn't properly presented.

So, ladies and gentlemen, this is Agnieszka, my mother.

Have you greeted nicely? Did you say "Hello vlog"?

Hello vlog.

Now we can go home.

I went home and did a boring job.

And now we are getting ready for a family trip to cinema.

For "Murder in the Orient Express"

Since we are talking about a family,

yet another person has not been properly represented.

My Padre, Romek, Romunio.

You've probably seen him sometimes with a bass in his hand.

But he wasn't also properly represented.

Welcome.

Hey!

So what? We dress and go to the cinema.

We came back from the cinema.

The film was poor.

Little addictive.

The plot

is good, but they couldn't use it properly.

The acting was also average.

Johnny Depp, although the role is episodic, short,

acting quite well.

I think he bounced off the bottom and headed back up.

The actor who played Poirot

good franco... francophone accent

a man who speaks French, francophone.

But overall average.

So, as you don't have a great desire to go

I do not recommend it.

And I'm saying goodbye to you with this film critic short review.

See you.

Have a nice day.

Hey!

Umm..

In general, yay.

It depends.

It's a good time for shower sex.

On the level of

maybe it's not for everyone.

Not if you don't want to if you don't feel good if you have back pains then whatever.

I've had boyfriends that loved it, didn't care.

It's messy, and I prefer white sheets.

Did I Met My 2017 Goals - Powersheets Goal Planner Review - Duration: 5:28.

- To be honest I've never really been a goal-setting person.

What?

I mean, I set New Year's resolutions a lot of years

but I'm that normal person that by February,

they've totally flown out the window

and I'm back to my normal habits,

but after running a business in 2016,

I realized how important it was going to be

for me to set goals in 2017.

So in today's video, I'm gonna share with you

the number one tool that I used this year

to set goals and reach them for my business.

Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Just the Tips.

My name is Trena, and I help creative businesses

like you get started here on YouTube.

Today, I'm gonna walk you through the tool that I used

to set my goals in 2017.

That tool is PowerSheets.

So PowerSheets was created by Lara Casey,

and I bought this at the end of 2016

to really get serious about goals, track them

so that I could really have something to achieve

and see what I accomplished throughout the year.

So I'm just gonna walk through

what the PowerSheets looks like inside

and then share with you

did I complete or reach any of my goals?

So what's great about these PowerSheets

is it gives you all of these prompts to think about,

like lessons you learned, to really get thinking about

what kind of goals you want to set in 2017.

So after you start thinking about all of these things

and reflecting on the previous year that you had,

then you get down to setting your goals for the next year

and this book is great with these.

You can write them down, and by writing down your goals,

you're held more accountable.

Writing them down just feels more real

than to just have them floating around in your head

because I'm a mom, and I honestly can forget

what I had for dinner last night,

let alone a goal that I set for myself three months ago.

So in the book, you see that you can write down

up to 10 goals and I set seven goals for myself in 2017.

And what I really love is the Action Plan.

So you take the goal, you set your why to it,

and you start creating action plans,

what you can do, those tiny steps that you need to take

to really achieve that goal because just having a goal

doesn't mean you're going to do it instantly, right?

There's going to be a lot of little steps

that you need to take to get to that goal.

Then you basically have a goal check-in

every single month in this PowerSheet book.

So at the beginning of the month, I'll sit down,

I'll go through the prompts,

and then I'll really brainstream about

things that I need to do this month to reach a goal,

or to get things done I want to get done this month,

or things that are coming up this month,

just kind of as a brain dump to clear all that clutter

out of your head.

Then every month you have this tending list.

So you set your mini-goals for the month

and there's a little block that you can scribble

as you progress through that goal.

I love doing it.

I love being able to fill in that box.

And then there are weekly goals.

So what the things you need to get done each week

to get to that goal, that main goal

that gets to your overall yearly goal, right?

Then I love the little daily goals.

So you can start changing habits,

so whether you want to start walking more

or making the bed or drinking more water,

you can really start to track these types of things

in this daily goal.

And then you can pull out this tending sheet

and keep it close to you, so on your desk

or a corkboard by your desk, so that you can be reminded

every single day of the small goals you're taking

to get to those big goals that you set for yourself.

Plus the book is filled with a lot of inspirational quotes.

I love just flipping to a new month and seeing

a new quote that just gets me excited.

I mean, who doesn't love pretty quotes?

So did I think this investment was worth it?

Because these PowerSheets are pretty pricey.

I believe they're around $55.

I did think it was worth it.

It was the first time that I really set goals.

I did set goals the year before

but I just put it on like a note-card

and I probably lost that note-card

or I might have put it in a Google Doc

and have no idea where it was.

So I loved having that planner.

Now it's not a daily, weekly planner

like to write down your day-to-day tasks.

Like I said, it's more of overarching things

that you need to do to reach your big goals.

I will be purchasing for 2018.

I just like having that accountability,

having that check-in every single month.

If I don't have that monthly check-in,

I'm not going back to see,

"Oh, what did I do to reach this goal?"

or "What do I need to do?"

I just love having that check-in.

Out of the seven goals that I set for myself,

I believe I reached four of them.

So not bad. (cheering and applause)

Almost, it's almost 50%, over 50%?

I'm not a math wizard.

So I do think there were the,

there's a great PowerSheets community online too.

You can join other PowerSheet groups and work together

each month as you're setting your goals,

reflecting on your goals.

I'm gonna start doing PowerSheet goal check-ins in 2018

to share with you guys what I'm doing in my business

and how I'm getting there through the PowerSheets planner.

So my question of the day for you is

how do you set your goals?

Is there a tool that you use?

Let me know down in the comment section below.
