have millions of questions running through her mind.
One of the most important question is what to eat during breastfeeding that will ensure
a good milk supply . I'm sure many mom's can relate to this.
Whatever you eat will directly affect the quality and quantity of milk produced in your
body, well that does not mean you will need any special herbs or readymade powder to stimulate
milk production.
Just stick on to the traditional methods used by your mom or grandmom.
The simple ingredients that you have in the kitchen can help you increase your breast
milk.
Apart from food, feeding on demand is the best way to increase your milk supply so making
milk from your baby is better than any other method .However, there are certain simple
ingredients that you can use to increase your breast milk.
This has been very beneficial to me and so I will be sharing it with you all.
Fenugreek is an amazing ingredient that has been used since olden days to stimulate milk
supply in breastfeeding mom's.
These are very rich in calcium and has been beneficial to many women .you can soak one
tablespoon of fenugreek seeds overnight and have it in the morning along with the water
or you can take half tablespoon of fenugreek powder added to a glass of warm water and
have it in the morning .you can even prepare fenugreek tea . This is how you make it.
Take 1 tablespoon of fenugreek seeds add it to 1 glass of water and boil well till the
colour changes to yellow.
Cool it down add a tablespoon of honey and few drops of lemon juice to make it tastier
Fennel seeds are also very good for breastfeeding mom's.They are given to new mom's to prevent
gas and colic in their babies.
You can directly have one tablespoon of fennel seed or prepare tea out of it.
To prepare tea take one tablespoon of fennel seeds with a glass of water, boil well strain
it and have it on an empty stomach.
After delivery traditional foods are given to breast feeding mom's cumin seeds and
carom seeds are often used in such foods both of these help in increasing milk supply improves
digestion provides relief from constipation acidity and bloating in new moms you can have
it directly or you can prepare tea out it just like the previous two methods.
Cashew nuts are rich in monosaturated fats they can increase the richness of your breast
milk you can have few cashew nuts a day or you can prepare cashew nut Milk but it's always
good that you eat them raw rather than going for roasted and salted ones.
sesame seeds are another traditional ingredient given to breast feeding moms.
This is a very rich in calcium and Calcium is an important nutrient for you as well as
your baby so make sure to use sesame seeds if you are a breast feeding mom .
Dill leaves have amazing health benefits and are often given to lactating moms. these are
rich in iron calcium and it can also help you improve your sleep you can use these leaves
in your curries or in your salads. also don't let yourself get dehydrated because about
87% of your breastmilk is water.
Water helps new born maintain their body temperature.
Even in warm climates your breastmilk contains all the water a baby needs.
So always keep a glass of water nearby when you are breastfeeding.
