Waching daily Nov 27 2017

Hello darlings, it's graduation time.

I'm graduating with a bachelor of bling.

What are you graduating with?

Masters of Civil Engineering.

Oh.

Graduation can be an exciting time, but it's not just about wearing robes and being fabulous,

you know.

There are a few important things you need to know before the big day.

Oh, that's right.

Should we give them the rundown?

Let's go!

So firstly, there's a whole bunch of things you need to do before you graduate.

All the information you need is on the RMIT graduation website.

But remember, you can't just rock up.

You need to apply, pay, and collect a ticket to attend.

That's right, just like a concert.

Exactly.

Prior to graduation, you can collect your ticket pack and gown from Docklands Stadium.

It is a requirement that you turn up to graduation wearing your academic dress correctly.

And try not to look like a clown.

On the morning of graduation, there's a fabulous parade where students march from Bowen St

all the way down to Federation Square.

It's lots of fun.

Check out the graduation website for all the details.

Well, are you coming to the stadium, girl?

I'm coming!

The graduation ceremony will be held at Docklands Stadium.

To get there, remember, public transport is your friend.

Oh, and stay away from the stadium car park.

The traffic will be hideous.

Like your makeup.

Back off clown.

Registration will be at your presentation stage between two and three PM.

Remember, no registration, no graduation.

But how do you know where your registration stage is?

It's on your lanyard.

Oh, this thing.

Stage D, Gate 7, aisle 25, row C, seat 17.

Well how do you know where gate seven is?

It's over here!

How do you know that?

Oh.

Oh come on, girl.

They could have sign posted it better.

Well look, we're here.

Ah, it's amazing, check this out.

Once inside the arena, after you've had your photo taken and purchased your merchandise,

you can find your allocated seat.

Oh, there's ours.

Oh, how fabulous.

During the presentation, selfies are prohibited.

A professional photographer will capture the moment for you.

Do you want your photo taken doll?

Oh, yes.

Here you go, stand by.

Smile, Vincent.

Once the ceremony has come to a glorious end, there's gonna be a massive after party on

the arena.

Really?

How fabulous.

With a special guest performing.

Oh, who is it?

No, can't say.

Oh come on, is it Kylie?

No.

Danny?

No.

Oh well, who is it then?

No, I'm sworn to secrecy.

Now go on, just tell me.

Anyway, there you have it.

Graduation is an exciting time, and there's lots of information you need to know about

the ceremony.

So check out the website for all the details.

We'll see you here!

Thank you, darlings, good luck.

Bye.

Bye.

Now, it's the girl with the, you know the one, you know the one, the brown hair.

No, I don't.

She's got brown hair and really big lips, and she sings that song that you do on stage.

No.

BBC 6 Minute English - Business English: Socialising - Duration: 6:02.

Welcome to another episode of 6 Minute English with me, Feifei.

And me, Neil.

And what are we talking about today Neil?

Well, today's programme is all about business socialising.

And, as we all know, socialising is a very important aspect

of working life.

Although it doesn't always go the way we want it to,

does it Feifei?

If you're referring to the office New Year party, we said we wouldn't

mention that again…

OK, I definitely won't mention the word photocopier…

Anyway, Feifei, I've been out and about talking to people about

embarrassing things that happened to them while they were socialising

at work.

Have a listen to this!

I was on a business trip abroad and people had quite difficult foreign

names.

I kept getting the names wrong with the people – so I'd be calling

a man by a woman's name and a woman by a man's name.

It was very embarrassing, but they were very nice about

it.

I always enjoying going to business socialising occasions, such as cocktail

parties or conferences.

But one of the most embarrassing things is you see

somebody you find them familiar, you know you've met them before but

you can't remember their names, especially sometimes you get mixed up

with where they work and job title, so that's one thing I find embarrassing.

Oh dear.

That sounds so embarrassing, poor lady!

I'm sure something like that has never happened to you Neil?

No Feifei, as you well know I never mix business with pleasure any more.

Here's Business Betty to help us find out what that poor lady should have

done!

Hello you two!

I trust you never find yourself in that situation but if you do,

here's what to do.

If you've forgotten someone's name or job title or where

you have met them before, don't panic!

The best thing to do is: find out, apologise and move on.

I'll say that again: find out, apologise and move on.

A good way to find out someone's name is to say "I think we've met before,

haven't we?"

I think we've met before, haven't we?

Or "You must be Feifei".

Oh hello, you must be Feifei.

Or, "I can't quite remember your name."

I can't quite remember your name.

Step two is the apology.

Neil, can you apologise please: Feifei, of course, how silly of me to forget.

Or say this: Oh yes, of course, I'm so sorry!

And once you've found out and apologised, move on!

We all make mistakes and the best thing to do is get on

with business.

A really easy way to move things on is to say "How are things

with you?"

How are things with you?

And even easier is, "How are you?"

How are you?

And then you can get on with things.

Remember, we all make mistakes, and knowing how to get out of tricky situations

is what makes the difference.

Just try to keep the conversation flowing.

We will Business Betty.

You're the best!

So there you go!

Find out.

Apologise.

And move on!

She really does know what she's talking about that Betty…

You'll never go wrong with Business Betty!

Neil…?

Do you feel a role-play coming on?

Yes!

It's role-play time!

Surely it's my turn to be the boss?

There's no boss today, I'm afraid.

For today's role-play, let's say we're at a

business event, and you see me, and you remember you've met me before,

and you really want to talk to me, but you can't remember my name.

OK?

I want to talk to you, but I can't remember your name.

Hmmm, could be tricky.

You'll be fine.

Are you ready?

I'm ready!

Hi there.

Oh hello.

I think we've met before haven't we?

Errr, have we?

Oh yes, we met a couple of months ago, didn't we?

You knocked the cup of coffee over?

It's Neil… how are you Neil?

I'm good, very good.

Please forgive me.

I can't quite remember your name.

It's Feifei.

Of course, Feifei, how silly of me to forget.

How are things with you?

How was that for you?

Not too bad actually, I felt embarrassed though because I didn't know your

name but I was pleased because I dealt with it quickly and moved the

conversation on.

That's the way to do it!

Do you want to try another one?

Yes go on, I'm feeling quite confident now!

OK, this time, we're at a business event.

You think you know who I am and you want to come to say hello, OK?

I think I know who you are and I want to talk to you.

Got it!

Ready?

Bring it on!

Oh hello, you must be Feifei.

Yeah, hi there.

Nice to meet you.

You are...?

I'm Neil.

I don't think we've met before, have we?

Actually, I think we might have.

You work in the media, right?

I do, yes.

Yes I thought so: we were at the same dinner last month.

Oh yes, of course.

I'm so sorry!

How are you?

Well done Neil.

Another tricky situation, another success!

Find out, apologise and move on.

Except this time I found out and you apologised!

Ha, yes, it works both ways.

It's a miracle!

Join us again for another episode of 6 Minute English.

Err Feifei?

Yes?

What's your name again?

Goodbye Neil, goodbye everyone.

Goodbye.

10 THINGS RICH PEOPLE DO POOR DON'T - Duration: 10:03.

10 things Rich people do, that poor people don't.

Before we start, we publish amazing material every week, so be sure to subscribe.

Today we're counting down our top picks for 10 things rich people do, that poor people

don't.

In this video we are going to cover actions and behaviors that poor people neglect.

These tips are so simple, you will wonder why you are still poor.

although this will not guarantee your success, this will greatly improve your chances to

become a millionaire.

we recommend you watch this video at least once every couple of months, because you never

know which part will trigger a new idea, or realization about your life.

with that out of the way, let's go through the 10 things rich people do, that the poor

don't

number 1

Rich people read a lot.

the top CEOs in the world read at least 50 books per year.

Now.

Poor people don't read any books.

And if they do, they read usually fiction or romance.

Many poor people get up every morning, and read facebook posts, then they watch the news,

which is predominantly negative.

Many rich people have become successful by simply listening to audio books in their car.

Poor people listen to the radio while they drive.

they want to be up today with the latest top 10 list.

So the next time you wonder why, a CEO earns 90% more money than you do, remember, while

you are busy checking facebook or listening to the radio, these people are busy educating

themselves.

number 2

Use your natural talents.

A big difference between the rich and the poor, is that the rich try to get to know

themselves as much as possible.

they find out what they're good at, and they become exceptional at it.

They find a field where they have unfair advantage over the rest.

This doesn't mean people are born with special powers.

These people are willing to put in the work.

Remember, you can outsmart talented people, who simply

sit on a couch and watch tv.

In other words poor people usually waste their talent.

The rich cash in on their natural born abilities.

number 3

They are responsible for their own fate.

Rich people believe they are responsible for their own fate.

successful people rely on themselves to create windows of opportunity.

they become the architect of their own destiny.

In sharp contrast, the poor blame the government for the lack of opportunities, they make excuses,

like, because my parents had no money, or the markets don't have any jobs in my industry,

the government made the markets crash, and blah blah blah.... it's never their fault.

It's always some external factor, they never accept responsability.

In reality, it's not the government, it's not the economy, it's not your parents.

You, are responsible.

number 4

Rich people set financial goals.

Yes, almost every single rich person sets personal financial goals, they know the importance

of accumulating wealth.

This means writing it down, making a plan, and keeping track of their finances.

Having financial goals requires action, rich people don't just set goals, but they begin

to find ways to increase their revenue, how to cut expenses to retain what they already

have.

This means, changing jobs, adding new products, increasing prices, working longer hours, anything

that will take them closer to their financial goals.

Poor people instead, they sit around, hoping for their boss to give them a raise.

They spend everything they have, and if they have anything left, they put it in their savings.

Even if they have financial goals, they never do anything about them.

They just sit around and hope for the best.

number 5

The rich sleep less.

how so?

Well, here is the truth, will smith once said, while the other guy is sleeping, I'm working.

While the other guy is taking it easy, I'm working.

That's how I get ahead of the other guy.

Poor people on the other hand, they like to indulge themselves into self pity, they want

to take it easy.

they say things like: I deserve a break, I need to take it easy, and watch some TV, maybe

browse the internet to take my mind off work.

While in the background, his bills continue to pile up.

The average person works 32 to 40 hours a week, let me tell you, if you are only working

40 hours a week, you are only working for survival.

The average self-made millionaire works 59, 70 or 80 hours per week.

They work six days per week rather than five, and they work longer days as well.

They work hard to achieve their financial goals.

number 6

Money works for rich people.

Rich people understand how money works, they know they don't work for money, money works

for them.

This is the secret why the rich keep getting richer, and the poor, keep getting poorer.

Poor people spend their entire life buying liabilities, like: vehicles, electronics,

clothing, houses and recreation.

Rich people purchase assets.

they buy things that will put money in their pockets, rather than taking it away.

Anything that doesn't give you money is a liability.

Example, Your cell phone is a liability, you have to pay that monthly bill.

Your internet, your power bill.

your car needs gas to move, you need insurance for the car, annual registration, and so on.

A house for example is a liability, since it takes money away from you.

But, the same house can become an asset, if you were to start renting it.

Now, the house begins to: put money in your pocket.

I think you get the picture here.

number 7

Rich people pay themselves first.

Poor people pay their bills first, they pay themselves last, or in some cases they don't

pay anything to themselves.

This principal is so important that if you don't understand this, you'll never be rich,

you'll never get ahead financially.

let me explain to you why.

Rich people pay themselves first, from every payment they receive, they take 10% or 30%

of that amount for themselves.

They pay their bills and duties with the remaining money.

Poor people pay a monthly bill to the power company, cell phone bill, insurance, internet

bill and whatever else they have to pay.

Everyone gets paid, but themselves.

The pay yourself first principal, is a self-tax the rich impose on themselves.

Now, once they have this money, they don't spend it, they put it away for financial accumulation

Poor people, they fall prey to something called Parkinson's law.

Which basically states that: Expenses will raise to meet income.

In other words, the more they make, the more they will spend.

number 8

Rich people study success,

Success leaves clues.

Rich people study other successful people.

If you start copying successful people, and you start doing what they do, eventually you

will get similar results.

Ask successful people, what books do you read?

what courses did you take?

Anything that can help you copy their mental processes that got them where they are.

Because remember, it's all in your head, you are poor because you think like a poor person.

Change your mental processes, and you will change your life.

Number 9

rich people get paid for results

When Henry ford was at the peak of his success, a mob of angry employees complained that one

of his assistants, was often spotted sleeping at his desk.

Henrry ford told them that if it wasn't for the ideas of that man, none of them would

be working in the plant.

poor people are in the business of trading time for hours, rich people are paid for producing

results, regardless of the time it takes to complete the project.

If you study the life of many self-made millionaires, you will find that these people found a need,

and they provided a solution.

Number 10.

Rich people don't have a boss.

Okay, you say.

That's not true.

Let me explain.

No matter what.

Rich people never make the mistake of thinking that they work for anyone, but themselves.

No matter who signs their pay-cheque.

they develop the entrepreneur mentality, the mentality of the highly independent, self-responsible,

self-starting individual.

Instead of waiting for things to happen, they make things happen.

They are always the CEO of their own personal corporation, they see the person who signs

their pay cheque, not as their boss, but as their client.

Do you agree with our list?

Watch this video at least once a month, to allow this material to sink in.

See you in the next episode.

bye now.

Why You Won't Find Bodies On The Titanic | Titanic: 20 Years Later with James Cameron - Duration: 1:20.

[music playing]

JAMES CAMERON: You won't find bodies at Titanic.

You won't find skeletons.

The bones actually dissolve into solution

very rapidly at that depth.

What anybody has explored the wreck find is pairs of shoes.

MAN: It takes years for a skeleton to vanish,

but the shoes treated with tannic acid--

they won't eat them.

So all around the Titanic are the shoes.

There's a scene, where we were filming,

and we came across a pair of woman's shoes--

Yeah.

--next to a pair of girl's shoes.

These were people.

These were people.

Those shoes got to the bottom on people.

MAN: They were in their cabin, because the cabin was all

around, the destruction of it.

And there was a hand-mirror.

This is the human element.

This is what people touched.

It's what they lived with.

MAN: Amazing.

Biggest Online Shopping Fails (Cyber Monday) - Duration: 5:48.

Whether it's Cyber-Monday, or any old day of the week, online shopping is the way to

go.

Using a retailer like Ebay and Amazon can be an easy and convenient way to get the goods

you want without leaving the comfort of your home.

From electronics to clothing, online shopping just seems the easiest way to shop.

Of course, there are more than a few people who disagree after suffering what can only

be described as full-on online shopping failure.

We've collected some of the best, to show you that nothing is certain in the online

world – so buyer beware!

Before you get that credit card out, be sure to subscribe, give us a thumbs up and comment

to let us know how you feel about our videos.

Remember, we want to give you, our viewers, a little love back.

So keep an eye out for our comment shoutout in the video.

iHad You all know that the number one rule of online

shopping is to double check the fine print and make sure that what you are ordering is

the real deal.

That said, sometimes you can't really be sure until it gets to your door.

Take this man's purchase for example.

He ordered an iPad online.

When it got to his door, he was greeted with a cheap cardboard version of the device.

Having been iHad, we bet he's more than a little iSad.

Ruined Surprise If you've ordered a lot of things on Amazon

or Ebay you know that sellers can ask for instructions - such as where the package should

be sent or how it should be customized.

However, be sure to pay attention to what you're writing.

Shopper Nicole Davies didn't and ending up potentially blowing a surprise party for

her mother.

In this case, her instructions unintentionally ended up on the label of the package – for

all to see!

Something's Different There's a good chance you've been in this

situation.

You see something you love online, order it and end up disappointed when it looks different

in person.

We imagine that's how this shopper felt.

After ordering a fun and colorful floral arrangement in the shape of a lion from 1-800-Flowers.com,

the end product didn't quite match the ad.

Yup, that's one sad and somewhat funny floral failure.

Buyer Beware Ladies, you know the pain of finding that

perfect-fitting dress.

Unfortunately, so many of you have seen something online that gets your attention – only to

be disappointed by the failure that arrives at your door.

We could go on and on about online dress failures but these handful of examples prove our point.

For beginners, they look nothing like the ads.

In fact, most look like something you'd make in Grade 7 home economics class.

Yikes!

Let's take a brief pause from this shopping mayhem to acknowledge one of our loyal fans.

Vaporeon Eevee threw us a lot of love in a previous video she said was an "amazing

vid the best i had ever seen."

Wow, judging by the insane number of emojis, we're guessing you really liked it - that

makes us so happy.

We hope you like the rest of this video just as much!

Still Tasty You can pretty much order anything online

– including cakes.

In the case of this online shopper, they ordered ahead so a birthday cake would be ready for

the special day.

There was just one huge problem.

A spelling autocorrect issue mean that instead of getting a cake with a 'blonde' girl

on top, they ended up with a 'blind' girl.

Kudos to the cake designer for going all out.

The lesson here – double check your spelling in all online shopping requests or you could

suffer a literal failure.

Common Sense Certain things should really be seen in person

and just shouldn't be bought online.

All the women out there know this – especially when it comes to items like swimwear or clothing

that's been crocheted or knitted.

Take this white top as a perfect example.

While this model can pull off the top – apparently the mother of the 16-year old who bought it

said "no" because it revealed a lot more than the online pic demonstrated.

But hey – at least the cat looks stylish.

Size Matters When you order goods online you likely have

a general expectation of what the items should look like when you open them.

A cat scratching post, for example, should be a decent size – which this definitely

is not!

Then there's this person who ordered a TV stand and ended up with something meant for

a dollhouse.

We guess you could put a really tiny TV on that.

Do they make a 4k television with a one-inch screen?

Literally For the last few years a big novelty item

has been the color-changing mug.

These are the mugs that have an image printed on the outside that changes when exposed to

warm and cold liquids.

A shopper, known only as 'Matt,' was clearly intrigued by the holiday Santa mug on Amazon,

so he bought it.

Unfortunately, the mug didn't change color at all – it simply had the exact image used

on the Amazon site printed on the outside.

So cheap!

Go Team! Online is the place to go in order to get

that perfect custom jersey for the team you support.

However, the market is flooded with knockoffs which means the quality can vary.

In most cases it involves the type of fabric or quality of stitching.

However, as these examples prove, fails can get so much worse - to the point of hilariousness.

We wonder if the new LeBron 'Lames' jersey is available yet?

Something's Different If you're looking to make a buck online

or find a gift for any kid – or middle aged man – then you can't go wrong with Starwars.

Yet, these starwars figures seem more than a bit off.

While we can't quite put our finger on it, we're pretty sure there was no character

named 'Dennis' or 'Toby-One' in the galaxy far, far away.

If you own one of these, and didn't do it to be ironic, then the fail is strong with

you young Padawan.

Well, that's all the online shopping horror for now.

To put your mind at ease, stick around and check out the next great video we have for

you.

But before you go, remember to subscribe, give us a like and leave an awesome comment.

We'd love to feature your comment in a future video – so get creative and tell us what

you think.

Bye for now.
