In the last video, we talked about believing in your vision.
Today let's look into what vision can do for you.
Vision Simplifies Your Life
When you have a vision in your heart, it simplifies your life.
This is because your vision controls your choices.
Once you know where you want to go, you will also realise which roads WON'T take you there.
That is, your vision clarifies what you NEED to do; and automatically, you will know what
things you SHOULDN'T do.
Vision defines your choices in life.
Vision gives you YOUR destination.
Vision gives you clarity in saying no to someone or something offered to you, that DOESN'T
align in its unity with YOUR vision.
On the other hand, it's tough to refuse things if you DON'T have vision.
Life becomes complicated, and every venture looks promising!
However, although various activities may be GOOD, you are actually NOT born to do EVERYTHING!
Sometimes, we find ourselves saying "I have SO many things to do".
There's a problem right there.
Our aim in life isn't to have a million things to do, rather, it's to do that ONE thing you
were BORN to do.
Without vision, you simply can't make decisions.
Stress comes, and your life is shortened BECAUSE of stress!
Stress comes because you feel undecided and you don't know what to do with your life.
I'm not saying that having a vision means you will never be in doubt, but vision gives
purpose to your decisions and precision in your everyday life.
If you don't believe me, let's do a little exercise.
Think about all the things you have done for the past 11 months.
Have they all been necessary?
Are they stepping stones to your destiny?
Congratulations if you said yes.
But for many of us, we may be shocked to find that our answer is "no".
When you have a vision, it simplifies your life.
With vision, you can bypass various shops, entertainment outlets and even internet websites
or shows - regardless of how distracting or enticing they are.
You can now ignore them because vision has taken a new hold of your interests and attention.
Vision allows you to go straight to the information that is important for building your life.
Vision keeps you from distraction and provides you with a resolve and focus like nothing
before.
Vision makes present discomfort meaningful
Vision allows you to live in the present but focuses intently on the future.
This attribute helps a person to win.
Appreciating the present is fine, but don't put ALL your focus here, as a greater future
is ahead of you.
Sometimes the present situation is full of depression.
Vision gets you to the future while learning from the present.
Vision makes your current discomfort temporary.
You will never over-panic or over-stress if you have purpose and vision in you.
You outlast the pressure.
You overcome the stress.
You rise above the doubts.
You will never quit where you are because you have SEEN your future in your vision.
In other words, if you know that where you are now isn't your future in vision, then
you'll understand that where you are now is just temporary.
Vision clarifies purpose.
Purpose is what you were born to do, and vision gives it clarity.
Purpose is the source of vision and vision is purpose in pictures.
Vision produces hope
Without vision, sight has no hope.
Vision makes you dare to hope for something beyond yourself.
It makes you believe in more than you think you can achieve.
With vision, you can live in the midst of difficulty.
Vision gives a source of hope, a foundation of courage and fuels the power of perseverance.
Vision keeps you patient under pressure.
Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and
perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its
shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
How did Jesus endure all the persecution, bow to the pain of death and endure all the
shame?
It is because of the joy He saw before Him.
He saw the joy in the future that gave pain meaning.
Some of you may be going through a tough time right now but hang on a little longer.
This is the part where the seed bursts through the soil.
The seed has to fight against the pressure of the soil and make its way to sunlight!
Vision attracts resources
Vision doesn't allow you to live by what you don't have and what you can't see.
It takes you BEYOND your current circumstances.
In other words, you begin to believe in things that you have no money to pay for, and dreams
that are not yet achieved.
This is important because the way to live above what you don't have is to dare to dream
beyond the limitations.
Vision attracts resources.
People actually do not fund other people, they give to what they believe in - which
is a vision.
For example, government grants are literally resources that are looking for visions.
When you apply for grants, they always ask you to show them your vision first.
They are not funding YOU, but to the VISION that you have.
Therefore it is very important for you to clarify your vision to others, and let them
see it clearly.
Vision has the capacity to destroy barriers
Vision makes you take bold steps of faith.
Vision makes you venture out with risk-taking courage.
Many successful achievements are the result of a vision.
As a matter of fact, it usually starts with just one person's vision.
Vision breaks limited thinking.
Vision has the nature of destroying barriers.
The vision itself demands the destruction of barriers, because vision demands the capacity
to see beyond the challenges.
Vision provides expansion, growth and higher thinking.
